From Concept to Completion is what we were promised and it's what we got ! Merit Insurance hired Kathleen Steele Design to manage our complete office renovation, including design and construction. We allowed her the freedom to work with us in designing and creating a sustainable office environment for the long term. She managed our time and our expectations throughout the entire project and managed our contractors to ensure timing requirements were met. Clients are impressed and feel comfortable that they are dealing with professionals when they walk into our business, the first impression is awe inspiring design! I asked Kathleen to suggest ways to revive a comfortable but tired bedroom. Kathleen created a warm, elegant, classic environment that transformed the room. She built the design around a cherished piece of art acquired on a trip which makes the completed room even more special because of the memories it preserves. She also worked the design around the colours in some favourite rugs which enhanced their beauty and brought them fully into the design. I love waking up in this room and also spending time in it at different times of the day when the light creates different effects. Kathleen has an amazing capacity to somehow see the vision that you have in your head and bring it to reality with fabric and paint. Kathleen is a joy to work with and I would go to her for another project without hesitation.

Kathleen Steele Design I’m on the Board of Directors for my condo. We needed to update the exterior and the hallways of our almost 30 year old building. The work would be completed over the course of about 2 years, but we wanted a plan and a designer who could do that for us. Kathleen was recommended to us by a friend who had built an addition to her house and refinished all the interior. Working with 5 disparate people on a BOD is not easy. Kathleen has put together a a very comprehensive design for us. She listened and understood what we wanted and she gave very professional presentations to the board (on zoom) that included computer generated visuals of the final results. She researched and recommended finishing products. She has provided us with annotated graphics that can be used by our property manager and tradesmen to complete the job. Her prices were reasonable and she has always delivered what she promised, professionally and on time. I would definitely use her services again and recommend her to others.
