Found this company on one of those "find your perfect contractor" sites, decided to give them a call. I asked if they work with small budgets and they said yes. I proceeded to tell the designer what my plans were for my kitchen reno. This included removing walls to enlarge my 8×5 kitchen space to 8x8. She told me there was a $300 fee for consultation. I asked her if the consultation included a tangible style plan (what am I getting for my money?) Yes it does. Booked the consult, designer came 20 minutes late, stayed 40 minutes, took measurements and asked questions. That was it. There was no talk of style, design or planning. I was told there would be a second appointment with the contractor to narrow down possible options. That never happened. Instead, I got a quote for 50-100% more than my budget was. For what job? What are you planning on doing here? I haven't seen any ideas or anything. Just sign the dotted line, THEN we give you style plan. You've already quoted me over my budget and shown me nothing of your qualifications as "designer". Instead of consult (which would indicate discussing style and design plan) they should just say service call, much more clear. Everyone knows a service call just gets you someone coming to your door. At $300, its steep and not worth it.

Chad was a great fit for my interior design needs in my newly purchased condo. He was able to determine the goal of my project and quickly fit my design thoughts with a portfolio of products that work perfectly for my space.
