I built my dream home in 2017. It was a large custom home 8,000 sf sitting on a pie shape lot of 19,500 sf. It was an extensive undertaking which took 2 years to finish. I knew from the start that I will need professional help in designing the interior rooms, selecting the products/color scheme and at the end interior decorating. I had a specific look and feel that I wanted for my home. I wanted to work with someone that would understand what I wanted to achieve and help me navigate through the endless choices that are there from faucets to paint colors. I interviewed several designers before I met Cara. After my first meeting with her I knew she was the right person. I threw my extensive list of what I wanted my home to look like including pictures, the scope of the project and where I needed help and the budget that I wanted to stay close to. I can honesty say, Cara delivered on all fronts. She determined what my style was and kept me focused when I started looking at things that would throw it off (a lot of suppliers will try to sell you trendy items without considering how it impacts the rest of the room/house and instead of having a cohesive look that flows throughout your home you end up with parts of your home looking out of place). I found Cara to be very knowledgeable in all aspects of building a home; from where the light fixtures need to be placed, type of plumbing fixtures, to reviewing the kitchen & bathroom layout to ensure optimum space usage. She worked with my hired trades & suppliers and where I didn't have a contact she connected me with folks she works with. Cara was easy to with; very accommodating & patient. She definitely puts the client first and becomes a natural part of your team. When we ran into a hick up/set back, she always found a solution. I appreciated that Cara wasn't all about picking the most expensive item; she was practical in her approach as in terms of quality and the best value for my money (this includes construction and interior decorating). She became part of our family in those 2 years; working with my boys in designing their rooms, helping my husband with his wine/cigar room. We all loved working with her. My home is exactly what I envisioned and I couldn't have done it without Cara's help. Anyone that has been at our home always compliment on how its one of the nicest home they have ever seen. Cara was on time and on budget with her work. I was pleased to learn that Cara's service extends past completion of her work. I recently had an issue with the kitchen chairs and the warranty had expired. It was from one of those furniture places that only deal with designers. I contacted Cara, she dealt with the supplier and the chairs were replaced. I could not recommend Cara enough for folks looking to create a home that they never get tired of loving!!!
