Just had a new table and chairs delivered from the Brick, Bathurst. Great service by our salesperson Danielle and the guys that delivered were polite and efficient as always. Great company that we would highly recommend. We will return there for all of our needs in the future.

One of the worst shopping experiences I've ever had. Dealing with Raj (salesman) was a pleasure but the store manager was rude and should find another business to be in! I'd give them no stars if I could! Earlier this week we purchased a washer & dryer along with a new stove. The Brick says they will price match. Returned to the brick today to have them price match the dryer as I found it for $649.97 at Best Buy. The same model I purchased at the Brick was $749.00. From my math I am entitled to a refund of $99.03 plus 20 percent on top of that as per their website. The manager proceeded to inform me that The Brick does not price match items sold only online. I called his lie and told him to read his own website. It says right on their website " If within 30 days of delivery or pick up of your purchase, you find the same brand and model currently advertised in a flyer or print ad, on TV or radio, online, or displayed in store by either The Brick or a competitor at a lower price with identical terms and conditions, we will refund you the difference in the same tender with which you paid. Best Buy had the same exact model for the lower price. Just bring us proof of the lower advertised price and give us a chance to verify it. " I called him a liar and then he told me to look it up myself. He then walked away. So, for this manager not wanting to give me what I was entitled too, I had them cancel the complete sale from a few days earlier ($2600 and change) and proceeded to drive a couple miles to best buy who sold me the exact same washer/dryer and stove for $210 dollars less. And that price included taxes and delivery. All I can say is we'll never go back to the Brick and we've shopped there for 20 plus years.

I was able to go to this wonderful store today to view some items with complete ease. I use an electric wheelchair and it’s the only store in this area that gives me total access to all items in the store. The isles between items were wide enough for me to negotiate. What a plus that was for me to look, touch and feel the furniture, appliances...etc. The staff, well!! What can I say... they are the best. I saw Jean-Leo Richardson and another very knowledgeable young gentleman but unfortunately I don’t recall his name. Keep up the good work with your great staff and store!

Salesman Raj was very pushy, did not answer any of my questions. We came in to buy a mattress and box spring after our box spring broke. We also expressed interest in some other bedroom furniture namely a night stand and bureau. We asked about the durability of the box spring, and Raj took it as us doubting his credibility. He then pulled out his phone and showed me his reviews from customers. I asked about payment options, as we would be getting the cash the day after. He became pushy and asked us to pay 50%, 25%, 10% right there, even though I made it very clear we did not have the money and we were still shopping. He texted me on my personal cell so that when I came in the next day I could call him to come in on his day off which felt very pushy and sketchy to me. I also asked for a total cost estimate, including the mattress, box, frame, cover, taxes and delivery, and he completely ignored my questions. He also made some sort of lewd joke towards my boyfriend which made him uncomfortable. I can understand being a little pushy when it comes to sales, I’ve worked commission too, but he was downright rude at times and didn’t answer a single one of my questions. I ended up buying my bed from a nice lady named Krystynha who was very helpful and understanding when I had to call the bank. If we do end up buying that bedroom furniture from The Brick, I will be asking for her by name!

We bought a Randal fabric sofa bed from The brick in Bathurst. after only one month of light use it started showing a lot of lint and fuzz balls on its seating part fabric. We have contacted them for assistance. they offered to take the sofa to repair it for an unknown period of time with no back up sofa. this is the only sofa in our house we are using it as sofa in days and bed in nights so if they don't provide a back-up, it should be very inconvenient for us. By the way when we asked them about the repair process. if they want to change the whole upholstery or only want to remove the lint by something like shaving the fabric which is not a permanent solution. they didn't get back any response.

He is very friendly and not your typical up-selling high pressure salesman. He listened to our wants and needs and we were very pleased. We had damage on our fridge upon delivery but received reimbursement for same. When you walk through the door at The Brick just ask for Raj and he will help you with a friendly smile.

The Raj guy everyone talks about is a bust. He gave us deals and he then called us back to say the manager refused and he can't do anything about it. Fantastic customer service! After waiting for 2+ months on a dishwasher to be ordered from a big box store, we stopped in at The Brick to see if they could get us one instead. Mariya went above and beyond tracking down the exact model we were after and ordering it in for us. The products we bought were a complete queen sized bedroom suite. The original delivery was delayed because not all products were in stock. We bought our mattresses elsewhere because we heard from many people that the Brick is not a good place to do business. The Brick is a parent company of United Furniture Warehouse, so we were nervous about that. The mattress/box and bedroom set were supposed to be delivered on the same day. The brand new mattress/box came and had to sit directly on the floor for about a week awaiting bedroom set delivery. When the set finally arrived, one of the delivery guys left his wet, salt/ sand worn winter boots into my bedroom, while the other delivery guy took his off. Originally we had planned on just the bed frame showing up and did not remove our old dresser and nightstands to make room. It all showed up!!! After further inspection while putting handles on the dresser and nightstands, noticed that one of the nightstands was cracked in the back only visible after removing drawer. The mirror did not get delivered. After weeks and weeks of United calling us, us calling back, our new nightstand is available as well as mirror............ for us to pickup ourselves!!!!!!!!!!! why did i pay the $70 delivery charge??? Shouldn't United bring this out free of charge because of their lack of customer service??? Mark the manager stood firm on the fact that they had already made the delivery and that we can come and get the new nightstand, bring back the damaged one and we'll just throw the mirror in while we're at it. I have a car, not a truck. Unbelievable

If I could give them zero stars I would. Delivery was requested but no mention of assembly. I am a young female living alone with no means to assemble this myself. When I called to ask questions and schedule the delivery I was hung up twice by a very rude receptionist. Delivery persons refused to speak English to me, they would speak French and when I apologized for being English only they didn’t not repeat themselves to me. I have no idea what information they were trying to tell me because would not repeat in English. I then called the store to enquire about why I wasn’t offered this and to express my disappointment and they were in a hurry to get me off the phone. I was transferred three times to different MEN who didn’t want to help me and at the end of the day I just ended up leaving my name and phone number for a call back. Every single person I spoke with from this location/franchise has been RUDE and ARROGANT and I feel like I have been taken advantage of by being a young female girl who had a language barrier with the employees. NEVER BUYING HERE AGAIN. ALSO, when I mentioned returning the product they essentially told me “too bad”.

I bought dinning chairs for family use.I travelled over 4hrs to pick up only to be given the wrong colour.I requested for a refund and for the company to find a way to pick up their chairs.The supervisor/customer care i spoke with at bricks Brandon was roadblocking all my suggestions. She said the only way i could get my refund is to travel back to Brandon , return the chairs and i get my refund or keep the chairs.Seriuosly! Thats mean and the height of no concern. I have never seen a thing like this since making online purchases in canada.Wayfair will never do this,Amazon and other reputable organizations wont either. .I wanted to be very sure she knew it was their mistake and no fault of mine.I asked again...so you mean i should travel 4 hours,pay for gas for something that is no fault of mine and she reiterated YES.I have complained through bricks.com customer care and already have a ticket created for this complaint.I hope it gets resolved.

Purchased mattress and box spring from raj. Seemed kind of pushy but we knew what we wanted and the price was right. We were initially told it would be in the following week, then told “it might take two weeks” which wasn’t a huge concern. When it finally did arrive we were called twice a day for four days asking us to come pick it up immediately. I told raj we wouldn’t be able to pick it up the Sunday as we live out of town and our schedules didn’t allow any sooner. When we arrived to pick it up we were informed there are no warehouse staff working on sundays and the only gentleman who could in fact help us was busy and it would take at least an hour before we could be helped. We were made to feel as if it was our fault for coming in on Sunday and raj constantly blamed the man in charge for being busy with other customers. Just felt lied to, pestered and completely disrespected. Will never be going back for anything in the future.

This letter sums up my hortible experience with the Brick. Good day. I am writing you with a heartfelt thank you for helping me sort out the issues I was having with the local Brick store here in Brandon. I am sure no one there even recalls the email I sent because no one ever responded to it. To fill you in, I was looking for help getting warranty on a lift chair for my terminally ill father. I am in awe of the total lack of customer service I received from your company. However, since sharing my story of the crappy service we got from both the local store and your company on a corporate level, I have heard many stories of dissatisfied customers of the Brick. In the end we had to pay for the labor - $20 more than quoted - and we had further issues with the repair people for an item that was still under warranty. Thanks to the fact the the store originally gave my father's girlfriend the run around before even getting moving on the whole thing, my father never did get the use of his lift chair in the final weeks of his life when he needed it most. So thanks again for the great service and rest assured I will pass my experience on to all ... you can't buy that kind of advertising.
