The modules are well explained and very illustrated; we agree that the visual in the field is very important. My tutor was always present to answer my questions and for each correction she offered me clear and fair explanations to allow me to learn more. Within the student Facebook group there is so much support among the members it's wonderful to see how people enjoy helping other students by answering both big and small questions. In addition, the institute always pushes us to surpass ourselves in our creations thanks to their great competition which allows us to win advanced modules! Even before I finished the training I had the chance to put my knowledge to work with contracts in my region and others remotely! We have even started renovations in our own house and I am having a blast since I can apply everything I have learned in my little family nest !!! Finally it is today that I end my great experience with a beautiful diploma in Interior Design in hand !!! It took me 6 months and a lot to complete the training! I am proud of what I have accomplished and look forward to starting the advanced modules to further my knowledge in the field. This training will have allowed me to acquire all the knowledge necessary to embark on the creation of my own interior design agency. I would like to thank once again all the staff of the Institute in particular my tutor Loriane Berthon for her professionalism and sharing her passion and Gina who is always present to answer our questions and our concerns. Les modules sont bien expliqué et très illustrés; on s’entend que le visuel dans le domaine est très important. Ma tutrice a toujours été présente pour répondre à mes questions et pour chaque correction elle m'offrait des explications claires et justes pour me permettre d'en apprendre d'avantage. Au sein du groupe Facebook d'étudiant il y a tellement d'entraide parmi les membres c'est merveilleux de voir comment les gens prennent plaisir à aider d'autres élèves en répondant aux petites comme aux grandes questions. De plus l'institut nous pousse toujours à se dépasser dans nos créations grâce à leur super concours qui nous permettent de gagner des modules avancés ! Avant même d'avoir fini la formation j'ai eu la chance de mettre mes connaissances à l'œuvre avec des contrats dans ma région et d'autres à distance ! Nous avons même commencé des rénovations dans notre propre maison et je m'éclate puisque je peux appliquer tout ce que j'ai appris dans mon petit nid familial!!! Finalement c'est aujourd'hui que je termine ma belle expérience avec un beau diplôme en Design d'intérieur en main !!! Ça m'aura pris 6 mois et des poussières pour compléter la formation ! Je suis fière de ce que j'ai accompli et j'ai très hâte de commencer les modules avancés pour approfondir mes connaissances dans le domaine. Cette formation m’aura permis d’acquérir toutes les connaissances nécessaires pour me lancer dans la création de ma propre agence en Design d’intérieur. Je tiens à remercier encore une fois tout le personnel de l'Institut en particulier ma tutrice Loriane Berthon pour son professionnalisme et le partage de sa passion et Gina qui est toujours présente pour répondre à nos questions et nos inquiétudes. I was incredibly impressed with this program (and I teach in postsecondary)! I appreciated the intentionality of delivering valuable content in a concise and clear matter. The course was broken up very well, and I felt that each assignment greatly contributed to my learning. It is challenging to deliver a course both virtually and in only 12 modules, but IDI accomplished this with such efficacy! I know I will be referring back to my modules frequently as I start working on my own. This program was invaluable to my learning as an Interior Designer, and I appreciate that it didn't require years of in-class learning. I know I will be back soon to take advanced modules. I stumbled onto my passion for interior design while going through the full scale tear down & renovation of my own home 8 years ago. At the time, I was working as a web developer at a large company and was very unhappy in my day to day job. The more time I spent working on my home and bringing the spaces to life from what I'd envisioned in my head, the more I realized that this was what I meant to do. Starting over in a second career meant that I wasn't prepared to enter into a 4-year degree program. Still, I did want to ensure I'd have the training needed to backup my natural abilities and give me the confidence to set out on my own. This course gave me exactly that. The modules teach you so much more than just “how to style a space & make it pretty”. I was pleasantly surprised at how in-depth it went on the foundational elements of design - even providing information on the history of architecture and the psychology of colour theory, along with the elements you'd expect such as space planning, furniture selection, and so much more. The course material is well-written, easy to understand, and the visuals help to illustrate the content beautifully. My tutor, Robert, was wonderful and communicating with him was very easy. He provided excellent feedback after each assignment and responded promptly if ever I had any questions. Now that I've completed the course, I'm excited to start my own business and already have 2 client projects lined up! I'm grateful for the knowledge I've gained in this course & am looking forward to getting more experience in the field.

The course is not bloated with theory and academic analysis. It is practical, engaging and hands-on. Each module builds upon the knowledge and skills previously acquired. I started this course being a new mom, having not a single clue of how to design anything but with the firm conviction of becoming an interior designer somehow. I was able to study at my own pace and now I'm launching my own interior design brand the same week I'm graduating! I am thrilled with every single concept that I learnt in this course. Having the knowledge of how to start, the dos and don'ts, and the confidence of having the right tools to approach my clients and deliver a professional and high quality service. From technical to creative concepts, this course exceeded my expectations in a very positive way. I loved that I didn't need to be a software expert to get through the course. The modules are very well thought out; they took me by the hand, step by step, leading me to become professional and to have the skills to talk to experts in the field. And one last thing that I also loved is that I found a beautiful community in Facebook with the rest of the students from all over the world, everyone supports to each other and give valuable insights and feedback selflessly. My love and passion for Interior Design led me to sign up for this diploma, and while I felt I had a good eye for detail and design and had done some interior work for friends and family, I had no idea what to expect from this course, but I have to say it turned out to be one of the best things I could have ever done both professionally and personally to improve myself as a Designer. During this pandemic, the workload of the course kept me so grounded, focused, motivated and challenged, that I felt the need only to give my best as it prepared me for what to expect in the real world of Design. In addition, it pushed me to find innovative ways to demonstrate my skills in the use of software programs, drawings, elevations, brochures and portfolio development design so that if I wanted to open my own design business, I would have all the necessary tools and skills at my fingertips. Thanks to my wonderful tutor Sophie Seeger and the Support Staff at IDI for their professional, warm, friendly and timely guidance and responses, I completed my course with a grade in the nineties percentage range. I look forward to specializing in one of their advanced modules in the near future. In the interim, if you want to be a great designer, take the plunge and invest in this course. It is a lot of work but truly worth your investment, time and effort. Go for it!

(Translated) A few months ago, I decided to change careers. Real estate had become a passion and I wondered what I could do to be closer to this passion. While surfing the internet, I came across the website of the Interior Design Institute. At first I wondered if it was a good idea to take this training because in the past I had never been interested in interior design and I had no basis. I jumped in with my head down and loved the training from start to finish. I learned so much and on top of that, I developed a new passion. Thanks IDI! En surfant sur internet, je suis tombée sur le site de l’Institut de Design d’Intérieur. Au début je me suis demandée si cela était une bonne idée de prendre cette formation car par le passé je ne m’étais jamais intéressée à la deco intérieur et je n’avais aucune base. I absolutely loved learning about interior design through this course! I came into the course with very little prior knowledge about interior design and was purely interested in getting more knowledge in the field. I found this course to be helpful and informative, while still being fun! The learning was hands-on, and I felt that I was gaining real experience in the field as I went along and completed the modules. Although challenging at times, I am glad that I persevered and now feel a great sense of accomplishment for completing the course! Upon completing the course, I feel as though I now have the knowledge to accompany my passion for interior design as a potential business or career option! I highly recommend the interior design institute course to anyone who is thinking of interior design as a potential career, or simply a point of interest!

Hi everyone, I decided at 54 to add a second career on to my 36 years of Hairstyling. It’s never too late to start something new. Having said that I found myself wondering If I would retain the information as well as when I was younger but truthfully with the way the modules are written, presented & with the help of my wonderful tutor Wendi I was so excited from module to module I was able to retain the information quite easily. The study makes you push yourself to limits you didn’t know you had. It’s super interesting. I especially enjoyed the history of architecture. Learning new computer skills & drawing floor plans wasn’t something I thought I’d ever been doing. If you have a busy life & can't get to the modules, you can do them at your own pace. There was never any pressure. The fellow students are super helpful & very supportive. Use them second but I would advise you to question your tutor first. To all who wish to have a future in interior design, this is the course for you. The course is so direct and equips you with all the tools you will need for your craft. I appreciated the simplicity, but at the same time, work is involved along with determination. Having suffered a stroke in 2010 left me with a deficit in my right hand, and I am right-handed, so I have a weakness with it. Drawing plans with my hand was a challenge, but my tutor worked with me, and I accomplished it. The Interior Design Institute helped to remove barriers and gave me the self-confidence I needed to move forward in this field. Willpower and the amazing support you will receive will help you to be inspired and help you to succeed. I never realized how many avenues of interior design there were, and the class helped me see exactly who I am in the industry and where it will take me in the future, so now my journey begins.

Out of all the searches on interior design classes that I have done two years ago before starting this course, I finally decided to enroll in The Interior Design Institute. I was so happy to see that this institute was lined on the few licenced online institutes in Canada where the diploma is well recognized. It seemed to me so motivating and so organized, just like I wanted the studies to be. It was for me the first real studies that I enroll online and I can say I made a great choice. It was not easy. It required a lot of hours to be dedicated to studies, research and practice. Around the forth module where the difficulty starts and the Interior Design gets more practical and technical, I had some hesitations. I got concerned about the time I was taking from my family, my work, my free time in order to study and accomplish my assignments. I gave myself another push and right now that I'm getting graduated I am so happy for my choice and my efforts. Each module is full of new information and practices, it gives you all you need. All the modules are so related to each other that you can't wait to upload your assignments in order to download the next module. And although the studies are self-pace and on your own, the studies are to be taken really very serious because the assignments mirror all the commitment and effort that you have done along with the modules. I have to thank: 1. My tutor Mr. Parisi for his great advice, 2. Student support for help along the course, 3. Student group on Insta #idistudent for the great motivations. I love Interior Design and same I love The Interior Design Institute.

This has been a great experience from start to finish! I have learned way more than I thought I would and the things I learned are things that you could use for everyday home décor or if you are evolving into a business. This course has made me want to start up my own business more than ever. I thought I loved the concept of interior design before, but after completing this course and getting great feedback from my tutor, I fell in love with it even more. The experience that comes with this program is worth a lifetime. After advancing in many design (and decorating) courses at local colleges, I found this program the most informational and inspiring! When considering this program, I worried that I would be spending money on what would be a "botched together - online program." However, I am here to tell you that you have nothing to worry about if you are considering this program! This program is in-depth and full of things that I was not even taught in person at my local colleges. I learned things that I never thought to be necessary for design as-well-as all the things anyone passionate about design would be excited about learning! In return, I am confident going into the world now as a certified and knowledgeable designer! All thanks to this program.
