The Design Den did a project for our neighbours which is how we came to know Scott and Veronika. Not only was our neighbours experience extremely positive, their renovated kitchen was truly amazing! After speaking with a number of different companies, it became clear The Design Den was best able to deliver exactly what we wanted. Our project entailed opening up a main living space, a new kitchen, flooring, fireplace/mantel, lighting, paint, ceiling and decor. Our journey started with home visits so Scott and Veronika could understand the project scope, our style and timeline. They were both realistic and transparent with budget and schedule expectations. Once work got underway, we got to know their trades well. Each of every one of them were friendly and efficient. They were clean and very aware of us still “living “ in space, knowing we had to move through the work zone to access our make-shift home in the basement. During the renovation, we took a little holiday. The day we were leaving they left a big sign saying, “enjoy your vacation!”. We loved it. The Design Den exceeded our every expectation. Scott and Veronika are the epitome of professional. Their down to earth approach made them the perfect team to partner with on our renovation. Scott’s construction and project management skills alongside Veronika’s keen eye for design were what made his project a true success. They didn’t miss a single beat along the way including hitting the mark on budget and schedule. We felt heard the entire time and their patience with our many questions was at no point lost on us. As clients, we felt valued in every sense of the word. Our experience with The Design Den was stellar. We would work with Scott and Veronika again in a heartbeat! I cannot say enough positive things about their company or the work they do. Our renovated home is absolutely gorgeous!!

This was our first real home project, therefore, we were nervous about selecting a designer/contractor. After meeting The Design Den, my wife and I felt at ease with a decision to work with them. They worked very closely with us and our vision, guiding were required with an extensive knowledge of options. They were equally as excited about the project which made the process more enjoyable. Once the design was complete, they worked closely with us to monitor the budget and manage budget savings where we could and made sure we did not skimp on something important. What's more important is that they finished on time and on budget! No one thought they could accomplish said project with all the scope creep in under 2 months, but they delivered. Well done and we love our renovated home!

I would definitely recommend Design Den for their design and renovation services. When we purchased our home, Design Den had already done some work in it. So when we wanted the main floor to be renovated to match the rest of the house, we called Design Den. Scott and Veronika did a wonderful job of helping us design a new layout for the kitchen and to bring in design elements to make the entire house one cohesive design. We were very happy with their attention to detail, their communication and their staff and trades. The crew were awesome and tidied at the end of each day. It was a long reno (due to sourcing some difficult to match floors) but our family was easily able to live around the job site. Scott and Veronika transformed a dark and unwelcoming 1959 basement into a beautiful, bright, functional space - it is truly unbelievable to compare the before and after pictures and no exaggeration to say that we've doubled our livable space. Veronika listened carefully to all of our wishes and requirements and walked us through every decision with patience and resourcefulness - she has a terrific eye for design, but does not impose her aesthetic on the client and is very practical in her suggestions. We appreciated her ability to narrow down the choices to a manageable number, within our budget, and steer us to the right decisions when we needed guidance. What I am most impressed by is the very high quality of finishing throughout the project - every detail was taken care of and Scott has exacting standards both for external suppliers and his own team. Speaking of the team, everyone who worked on our home was extremely personable, professional, and trustworthy. There were lots of unexpected challenges along the way, but The Design Den powered through and sustained their enthusiasm for our project until the very end. We are truly delighted with our new space.

Scott and Veronika took over an existing master bathroom renovation left incomplete by the previous contractor after they walked away following ongoing deficiencies and poor workmanship. We couldn’t be happier with the professionalism and quality of The Design Den team. We were referred to them by our plumber friend and couldn’t be happier with the end result. From start to finish the entire crew and all the sub-contractors relieved all the stress and difficulties left behind by the previous contractor. They have not only helped us with renovations (a bathroom overhaul), but also with interior and exterior painting, interior re-design (nursery/bedroom), and directional design consultation (living/dining), and have been an absolute pleasure to work with, bringing integrity, insight, innovation, and honestly to their projects. We have been nothing but impressed with their completed work. When we HAVE encounter small hiccups - such as grouting changing colour on us overnight - they have gone above and beyond returning twice to re-do the job to ensure the grout was filled and the colour was corrected. Veronika's ability to really understand design direction and work within a budget with fresh ideas is outstanding. Being first time renovators and having watched a lot of disaster stories on HGTV, we were not very confident or trusting of the home renovation industry. Given this, we definitely did a lot of research and met with a number of different contractors. Before having committed to a contractor, Scott and Veronika immediately stood out due to their willingness to sit down with us for couple of hours on two different occasions to answer our pages of questions and concerns, all without making us feel rushed. Spending this time together before the project began really helped to ease all our fears and concerns. It was also great to see that they both seemed very passionate about their job and were willing to work with our work schedules to setup meetings and provide updates.
