We just purchased a new home and needed help with our living room design. Signed up with Modsy, the design process was easy, you take a style quiz, upload photos of your space and once that is done they will assign a designer to work with you. We had an initial call to align the designer with our vision of the space. She worked on it for 2 days and was pleasantly surprised receiving our designs. We were given 2 options and we immediately fell in love with the first design and layout. Also loved the 3d Studio editor where you can immediately see how the alternative products will look with the space. The concierge service was great too, you'll save a few bucks instead of buying directly from the store. We're just now waiting for the furniture we ordered to be delivered and we are excited to see our vision and Modsy's design come to life in our new space. I will definitely try their service again and recommend this to friends.

I wanted to use an alternative approach to getting some interior design help, and thought I would keep up with the times and use an app. Modsy is well advertised on TV and online, and make it seem like they will come up with some really unique designs and thoughtful ideas. The reality is the app is well-designed, and is relatively easy to use, BUT the human element is where the service is a complete letdown. I was invited to write a review several weeks ago, but I wanted to wait to see if the service would improve - unfortunately it didn't - so here we are. Our original assigned designer went on vacation one week after starting our project - that led to disruption and lack of continuity. Modsy did assign a new designer. Despite that, the new designer did not really get what we were looking for – simple things like the TV placement - which had to be on specific wall (given pre-existing wiring) was not factored into the design, and we had to spend multiple calls to try and get that right. The furniture and accessory ideas they sent were off point, and we didnt end up buying anyting from the furnoiture recommended. We eneded up using Wayfair and Jonathan Adler. At the end of the day, this was a waste of money, I paid ~$250 to design 2 rooms, and I could've easily gone to any of the large retailers (Crate & Barrel, Westelm, Room and Board etc.) and they would've done the design element for free. The idea of using a service like Modsy is that you will get unique, interesting, well thought out and well priced furniture and accessories to decorate your space, but unfortunately none of that was forthcoming from Modsy. Ended up being very disappointed with the service, it's just simply not worth the money. If anyone from Modsy is reading this, I would like a refund of the fees i paid.

I used Modsy to furnish my new apartment. I purchased a package for the master bedroom and living room. The website and app are extremely user friendly - you just scan the room and answer some questions so the designers get a sense of your style. Within 1 week I had two proposed layouts, and within 2 weeks I had fully furnished rooms! It was so helpful to see the furniture in the actual space. The entire process is so efficient! The only word of caution is to stay on top of sales - they will price match within 24 hours but do a one-time price adjustment for each item within 7 days of purchase with a screenshot of lower priced item. Some Modsy reps are more helpful than others when dealing with these price adjustments. It was easy to get a customer service rep on the phone which was helpful. Overall, I have been extremely happy with the prompt and professional service delivered and have already recommended Modsy to several friends!

Highly recommend the service if you're slightly indecisive about a space. Their 3d room technology makes it very easy to continue to play around with pieces in different price points after your designer is done. ALSO, the actual design experience was so much fun. My designer, Bonnie, kept me laughing our entire consultation. I could tell she didnt want to design a pretty space. Instead she really cared about my family's realistic use of the space and wanted to make it functional.

The service was perfect for helping visualize what our revamped master bedroom would look with a few existing pieces and some new pieces we had been looking at. For a very modest investment I saved from making some costly mistakes of choosing a wrong item for the space. Our designer was more than willing to make an unlimited amount of edits for us. I did not always like some of the items they chose but it was easy enough to swap them out. Technically I demoted the review by a star because the editor tool was a little wonky. Although using Safari as recommended I found it difficult to maneuver and place some items. Other than that it was a great experience and value.

We did the Luxe design for our large living/dining room combo- got a good price on sale. The designer part went fine, she was responsive and did a fine job- though I felt the majority of her suggestions came from 1-2 main stores especially at first. We went back and forth a few times for that. overall, not a bad experiences with that part. Then everything about Modsy falls apart after that. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING THROUGH THEM. you think you are getting this great discount but you are really not as the shipping/delivery costs are ridiculous per item (25% the cost of the item at least). Also, they list the item on sale but when you order, did not reflect the sale price of the item. Had to have a few email exchanges about that. So frustrating. Also, customer service give you canned, generic responses like please give us "48 hours to follow through". A week later no responses and you have to stay on them. Delivery windows are set a month long, they come and go and you follow up and still same lack of follow through. We finally had an item delivered but it was defective (after 2 1/2 months for something that was in stock) and I am still waiting to hear back about my credit- again, we are past the time they told me it would take to resolve the situation. I am waiting for another order and they still can't tell me when it will actually be delivered. Communication is zero and they don't seem to care once. I don't see this company doing well if they keep this up. A lot of bigger furniture places have there own design help and 3D models. Only use if you want ideas and it's on sale. Not worth the full price, their 3D model is a little frustrating to work with and has a lot of glitches as well.

I have ordered the classic package for $49. Based on the details of this package i should receive the 3D with in 5-8days. It has been 3.5 weeks and I have not received my 3D designs. A ripoff!

I ordered a package from Modsy. The designer was very quick and responsive. She was willing to work on the room design I wanted. I did not proceed as I decided that I want to stick to Ikea Furniture which is not one of the suppliers they work with. I requested to cancel the package and they did. Even for my cancelation request they were very quick to respond and also very professional. I wish they worked with Ikea as well.

Modsy accepted my interior design project and payment, then immediately sent up red flags when customer service didn’t respond to a general inquiry I sent on that same day. I waited a week and then stopped expecting a response at all. The day my project was due, I got a generic email explaining they were delayed and assured me I’d get my project in another few days “at the latest.” This was the first of four missed deadlines - each following the same pattern of generic email sent out the day the project was due saying it wouldn’t be delivered yet. And while I’ve had two responses from customer service, the vast majority of my emails to this company have gone completely unacknowledged. Including the email I sent yesterday requesting a refund. If you use this company - which by all means appears to deliver a good product - don’t hold your breath that they will respect your time or their promises to you. I’m quite frankly surprised to see their BBB rating is so high, since a quick social media search revealed this same delay/avoid pattern has been playing out for months. Anyway- buyer beware. I really wish it had worked out differently. I was very excited to see their work.

The customer service at Modsy is non-existent. When asking for an order update - for the past 5 months - I am told it is in process and they provide the status of "shipped" for the past 3 months. You are best going directly to the merchant. They will not assist you when your order is missing in action! But they certainly take your money. BethAnn

I am the biggest Modsy fan!! I would recommend it 1,000% The service is super fast and not only do they help you with the layout, style and feel, but you get an interactive version of your room that you can play around with yourself. The designers do a great job of taking notes and even adjusting the room, offering paint color suggestions etc. also a great tool to get unwilling spouses on board with a “vision” of what a room could be. I just tried a competitor company (only bc Modsy does not do patio spaces yet) and it has been awful! It’s been a month and i still do not have a plan completed. I hated the anxiety of “picking your designer” - with Modsy you don’t need to worry about this because a good designer knows how to design for YOU! And then if you need something tweaked or changed, they listen! I cannot say enough good things about this company.

I furnished two rooms, a living room, and a bedroom. I bought two floor lamps ($475.00 each), and one lamp stopped functioning. The manufacturer of the light fixture will not replace the item. Do NOT buy from Modsy. I would recommend using their stylists for their services, and I would recommend buying the products directly from companies producing the items. DO NOT BUY ANY FURNISHINGS THROUGH MODSY!

I love the designs that my designer, Jerese, and I worked through. Sadly, that is where the positive experience ends. The purchase, delivery, and return process is a nightmare. One return took no fewer than 15 emails, three sets of return labels, and four attempts to get a pickup scheduled. If I hadn't already been waiting weeks (yes, weeks) for my items to arrive, I'd be thrilled to cancel all of my orders and place them myself. It's laughable that I'm paying an additional, hidden, $20 fee per order for the 'concierge.' Modsy, you truly need to spend some time fixing this process. I was recommending Modsy while going through design process, and would still recommend them for that. But DO NOT, under any circumstances, order through them.

This app allows you to upload photos of your room and the designer will design the room for you for a super small fee. I would recommend modsy!

I went into this with limited expectations. My goal was to see how they could/would arrange the space as I was moving into a new apartment. For that reason, I liked Modsy. They gave me two design options that allowed me see what the space could potentially look like placement wise. I knew going in that I wasn't going to buy their INSANELY expensive recommendations, but used it as a template for my own furniture, etc. HOWEVER, I was sorely disappointed by the "design" (as in what colors/choices of pieces they put in the room). They were horrible. A newbie interior designer with absolutely no experience could have done a much better job. It was laughable... At least I only paid for the minimum package!

I designed 3 rooms with Modsy. Ordered all of my furniture through their 'concierge' service. My delivery window was missed completely, and there was no follow-up from either the delivery service or Modsy. For two days I have been waiting for someone to answer the phone (at Modsy) or return a phone call. Not feeling very 'white glove.' It is too bad, because up to this point all was GREAT and I would recommend without hesitation. Customer service for Modsy, is a reflection in their third party contractors, and in this case, a very poor one. Side note: I just read all of the other reviews about the ordering process. WOW Modsy, just WOW. Have you taken the time to listen to your customers feedback on this subject?

I can't say enough good things about this service! I love my home more than ever and feel it is finally designed as it was meant to be! The renderings of my room were so accurate they looked like photographs! The designs and furniture suggestions kept me from making expensive mistakes. The design service is great but shopping/delivery through them has been a pain. Items are not always available that they display in the room (you won't find out until you try to buy them and your order keeps getting denied), and scheduling furniture delivery has been challenging due to not having direct contact or order info with the furniture companies. I am very happy with the room designs but wish that buying was more user friendly.

My son moved into a studio apartment on the opposite coast and wasn’t about to go shopping for furniture. I was able to get his input and be helpful in setting up his place without the ability to be there myself. I don’t have an eye for design, so I was glad to have the expertise. The designer was amazing to work with. She had great ideas and took my revisions and completed them in a timely manner. The reason for such a low rating is due to their warranty of the items you purchase through the site. I spent over 1K on 4 shelves!! the shelves we purchased 3-4 have a defective bracket. The shelf tilts forward and nothing will stay on the shelf. After several email exchanges about the issue I tried to get help through the warranty side, but they said their warranty on their products is only as long as the return policy, which is 30 days. I understand this isn't Nordstroms and I get the 30 day return policy, but the warranty for items should be longer than 30 days. If it wasn't for that I would most likely purchase more products from my design, but I will have to go elsewhere to purchase the products.

I've used professional interior designers before and not been as pleased as I am with the Modsy ideas. And the fact that you can order what's shown in your room is just ingenious. My designer is keeping me updated and the 30 min phone call has been really friendly. She hit most of my designs interest too. However, I noticed Modsy themselves don't offer enought furntiure selections. Modsy advertised on their page they they uses like West Elm as part of their design but only limited number of furnitures. Thus, makes it really hard for the designer and even myself to have more selection/options for furnitures. As a result, instead of paying for 3k for a 6-drawer dresser you can't really chose anotehr similar option that is more affortable unless you do your own research and go to West Elm website yourself.

I went back and forth on whether to give a 2 or a 3. I would say the design part itself is a 5, just purchasing with them is painful. They are a young company and are having some growing pains surrounding that. The design part is great, easy to use and the person really worked with me to get a look that was not only great but my style and practical for my purposes. I.e. functional and not just decorative. The price point wasn't stuck to at all but I think that is due to the fact they just don't have enough stores on there. They do have wayfair but none of the items they chose was from there. If you decide to purchase with them, i recommend having a phone call with a customer service member to go over what your expectations and wishes are surrounding the products (do you need white glove shipping, free pick up from the store, if it is available, etc). What would be the best discount codes to use if any? The purchasing is very manual for them so having the phone conversation will hopefully save some of the surprises and align your needs with the service. That is my recommendation currently. The back and forth with emails to find out about the transparency of the ordering process was a bit painful and I wish I had just been able to pick up the phone to begin with. I recommend using the site for design and it is up to you to decide to use them for purchasing. Their process currently changing but the current method is not transparent and a bit clunky as you don't know the final price before you approve the purchase. You have to guess based on your own research and then hope that it is what you are expecting and the shipping method matches what you were hoping. However, i did email me and they were responsive in tweaking the order and explaining what was happening to provide me transparency. it did take a bit of back and forth. However, the people are really professional and are trying to improve the process.

Modsy is just what I expected and more! I got the help from a designer at an amazing value. I worked with Miranda W. to help with layout of furniture for my formal living room. Miranda worked with me and tried her best to understand my taste and style. I was impressed by her professionalism and knowledge of what works in a space, but extreme patience to my many many requests for updates. I liked all her designs, but of course some colors and layouts were not my favorites, and she was great to update things according to my taste without questioning. I recommend Modsy to anyone struggling with designing their rooms!

The good: The design portion of it is ok. I only really loved one design right off. The redesigns and responsiveness and collaboration are good, but the longer this process goes on, the longer your shipment will take if you decide to order through them. I had 4 spaces designed for our new house. One item did come damaged and I was able to return that item with low hassle excellent customer service. My advice would be to use the designs and shop elsewhere. What they aren’t up front about is how long the furniture will take and they make it nearly impossible or not worth it (with percentage of refund up to 50% depending on the vendor or blast you with restocking fees) to cancel said items even though they are not even close to being shipped. The shipment date has changed for one of my items from October to FEBRUARY after it's been listed "in stock" for a month. And regarding Ravine Home, from their website: "Ravine Home: Sofas Designed for Real Life Ravine Home is Modsy's first line of high-quality, custom made sofas and chairs. Every material, style, and detail is designed with our customers in mind. At launch, Ravine Home offers eight styles of sofas and chairs that were designed in-house by Modsy. We collected data from thousands of customers to build beautiful, high-quality, affordable pieces manufactured in the USA. Ravine Home pieces are exclusively available for Modsy customers. Each piece is custom-built and ready to ship in 15 days of ordering!" Absolutely NOT true. I ordered a Ravine Home Sofa on September 16th. Estimated shipping date is NOVEMBER 24-JANUARY 1! If their cancellation policy was less rigid and restocking fees not so high, especially in these COVID times, I would give the company 5 stars. But now I'm forced to wait for furniture for 4-5 months. Not an insignificant wait for our family of 7. We have nowhere to sit for half the year. I would never have ordered from them if I knew how long it was going to take. I would instead have ordered from a furniture store that had what I wanted on the floor. **Update, added two stars: The customer service is pretty good as they have taken a discount off my order for the inconvenience. Having an actual person to talk to would make the service even better. Side note: The designers don't get enough credit...they do an amazing job that is tedious and time consuming.

I had a surprisingly great experience working with Modsy. In the past I have hired interior designer to select and buy furniture with okay results. I decided to give Modsy a try, after all their services are fairly inexpensive, and WOW! The timelines, communication, process was superb. My wife and I love the final design and the simplicity of their web site. And the easiness of the buying process. I am being 100% honest when I say that it is the best option for decorating at any budget. We are currently working on our 3rd room. Give it a try! P.S.: we live our designer, Francesca. She has the magic touch.

Positives: 1. The 3D rooms gives you a solid visual of your space. 2. The room can be edited. You can add, move, and remove funiture. (Although this part can be made more seamless) 3. They offer a discount on funiture purchase if you order through Modsy Negatives: 1. The 7-10 turn around time is not accurate or an honest depiction of how much time they take. Both rooms that I paid to have completed took at least 15 days. 2. Ordering funiture through Modsy is a pain. They are a third party and do not give updates about funiture or backorders or timelines of delivery. It’s easier and smarter to purchase directly from the store. 3. Customer service seems overwhelmed and not capable of handling the influx of customers or reported issues. Overall I would move it to a three if customer service could communicate quickly and keep customers informed of some of these issues. For the price you can get an idea of how to organize your space and if you hate the design you can go in and edit it yourself.

Paid too much money to have someone create a 3D render of my room (render was nice), populate it with a very limited set of expensive furniture and never deliver on the furniture. I ordered 2 items and I am waiting on them for 2 months now. For one item, the initial estimated delivery window came and passed and I didn't even hear anything or received an update. Another item arrived severely damaged 2 times and the 3rd shipment is nowhere to be found. Design part was OK but don't buy any furniture from here.

The designer and design tool was fantastic. Would highly recommend using their design services. Their ordering is the worst. Seriously, order direct from the vendor site. Modsy promises to act as an intermediary but they don’t do a great job. You can often get way better deals. When the problems occurred I had to advocate to get help, otherwise modsy wouldn’t have worked to remedy. Also they make no guarantees on deliveries and show little effort of brings customer-focused in their approach. Avoid buying through them.

Don't do it. If you have any sense of design, you're better off meeting with several of your favorite stores and making your own choices. I love interior design but juggling a move with young children, managing a remodel and making all of the decor choices felt overwhelming. I purchased the three room option, to get a jump start on the new home and to ensure that the rooms flowed well together. 1) The rooms did not flow well together, they looked as if they were designed by three different people. 2) The rendering wasn't accurate with concern to windows. Since our room had several large windows, this became a problem. 3) The designs were not my style - I'd recommend speaking with a designer before you do anything - this goes against the advice that Modsy gives 4) Modsy advertises that they'll include existing pieces--I had two PB Swivel chairs that I asked they incorporate and they were not included in the design. 5) The design process takes more than the 7-10 days they advertise. You'll likely have several edit as well as possible requests for new photos before you even get started. It's been significantly more time consuming than I'd anticipated. If you are someone who is truly helpless putting together a cohesive room, this may work well for you. Give yourself a month to work with a consultant and then another 6-8 weeks for furniture to arrive. But for anyone cares enough about interior design to do any research, read blogs, follow influencers, etc.....this won't meet your standards. Please share your email address for follow-up, we have sent feedback to consultant already. Response was "we will get back within two business days"

I had a lot of trouble finding reviews of Modsy that weren’t paid promotion content (I only found these reviews after my design when I looked up the address to see if there’s a local Yelp page). I would have never taken the plunge if a friend hasn’t tried them before and had a decent experience. I urge them to be more transparent and avoid burying actual reviews with marketing. But overall we were very happy with Modsy. We turned to then after having a disappointing experience with a competitor. The competitor took over a month to get us our designs despite requesting only minor tweaks, never delivered the promised 3-D rendering, eventually provided what a collage I could have put together after 15 min. on Pinterest, and gave us a blah design. And having to frequently communicate with their designer became annoying. Going from that to Modsy was like night and day. We received two complete design concepts much sooner than expected-just a few days after sending in photos. Even though I provided much less info. in our profile and didn’t go through any back and forth with a designer, the concepts were way better than what we got from the competitor. While we could have provided feedback and gotten updated concepts, I was happy enough with the first round that after taking my favorite things from each and adding a few touches of my own, I had a design I loved that my husband could live with. And the 3-D rendering totally blew us away. I think I showed everyone I spoke to that entire week. Very impressive. Every detail in our room was perfect, including HVAC vents. That said, there’s still some room for improvement. The 3-D rendering assumes your room is flooded with natural light, which our bedroom is not. I’m not sure if it’s because of this or another reason, but the colors can be a bit off. For example, the rendering showed our walls as pure white, but they’re warmer, arguably off-white. So the rendering was brighter and airier than our actual room. And some of the furniture colors were way off. The upholstered bed frame we ordered appeared near white in the rendering, but is a much darker linen color in person. So that was a disappointment. We may even reupholster, if that’s even an option. I also noticed that while some of the wood appeared to be much different shades in the rendering, they’re actually very similar in person. That’s not a bad thing, but goves me doubts about the pieces we have yet to purchase. I also found the checkout process very confusing. The weekend I ordered I received an email that the brand we purchased was 20% off. But that wasn’t reflected in the cart. At the same time, free shipping was reflected in our cart, but once I got the order confirmation, it turns out we had to pay quite a bit for in-home delivery. Ultimately that made sense, and we still paid less because the 20% discount was also reflected on that confirmarion, but I would have liked a more accurate estimate. Customer service was actually pretty responsive at answering the questions I had about those two things, even over the weekend. But moving forward, unless there’s an incentive to buy from Modsy, I may skip the headache and order directly from the retailer, which I realize undermines their business model. But it’s just not seamless, and their discount codes only apply to pretty expensive orders and we plan to purchase things one at a time. The other suggestion I would have is to improve the selection of furniture. I’m not sure if I had access to every product, or just curated items, but it was more limited than expected. And was missing some brands I would have liked to have seen that their competitor had, like Article. Ultimately, I think this is the best option for people like me unable to visualize a room without furniture in it. The 3-D renderings are incredible, and I imagine will only get more accurate and less laggy over time. We can’t wait to design more rooms in our house and already purchased the next package.

The 3D model of my house Modsy generated was incredibly helpful in figuring out how I wanted to use the space - as were the layouts they came up with. I will say that the furniture stores that they recommend are ridiculously overpriced. I was able to track down the furniture manufacturers and their distributors to find the exact same pieces at 1/8th the cost.

The design service from Modsy was reasonable enough. The designer was mostly responsive and the designs certainly better than I might have come up with on my own. I subsequently placed an order for a piece of furniture listed on the site as being "in stock." The paperwork then reflected a five-week delivery window which I assumed was a typo for an in-stock item. When I inquired of Modsy, they said they could not get a response from their vendor. Eventually it became clear that 5 weeks is exactly what was meant. Apparently in-stock could mean "in production" or "in shipment" from somewhere overseas on a very slow boat. Five weeks has expired and I finally heard from the delivery service. The item will arrive today in Seattle. I am not in Seattle. It will be another 9 days before they have a truck able to bring the unit to me. Sheesh. This is ridiculous. The same item was carried by a local retailer and for a similar price. I should just have gone there and suggest you might want to do the same.

My research led me to believe it was cheaper than it actually was, I thought it was $79-89 but was $159 for one room. I submitted pictures and measurements of our bedroom on Aug 1. I also indicated some colors and rooms that I liked, furniture needed and my budget for major pieces. On August 16 I got two designs showing my bedroom as a lovely serene space. Although I thought both spaces were appealing, I didn't love anything in either room enough to purchase it. Modsy put a king bed in the room and I had said I have a queen mattress and so I asked if that could be swapped out so I could see how things would really fit, like nightstands. Instead, a week later they gave me a third design with a queen bed. I was going to buy the Modsy bed but when I went to purchase it was sold out so I went looking online and found it on Wayfair cheaper ($279 instead of $339 and I really think it is the same bed). The prices on other things are kind of all over the place. For me, I thought the dresser and nightstands were pretty reasonable but then they'd have a $240 lamp that you can find a similar one at Target for $20. Bottom line-it gave me some inspiration and a 3D space to see how things would fit but plan to find things in your price range and available on your own.

I used Modsy's design services which were amazing, and I also bought several pieces of furniture from the website. First and foremost, their customer service is FANTASTIC and my experience working with them for my designs was very helpful. I sent them photos of several rooms in my home and they recreated them with lovely renderings that helped me refine my vision for the design in each room. A big thank you to Lauren for her help! As mentioned above, I ordered a few pieces of furniture, one of which was a large upholstered queen size bed. It arrived without any issue and I was pleasantly surprised at the delivery company and how well they operated in terms of scheduling the delivery, etc. While the bed was lovely, it just wasn't the right fit for the room as I had hoped. I felt horrible because it was a large delivery and I really wanted to love it! As a result, I wrote Modsy and they responded immediately and said they would accept the return - no problem at all - and waive the return fee as the bed wasn't what I expected. They arranged the pickup and within a matter of DAYS the bed was picked up by a lovely gentleman and my refund (for the entire amount) is currently in process. I am in sales so I understand the importance of good customer service. Modsy gets five stars! They are absolutely wonderful. I also wanted to give a shout out to Eduardo who oversaw my return. He was super helpful, responsive and extremely pleasant. Thank you! Do not even hesitate about working with Modsy for design services or purchases for your home!

I've designed two rooms with Modsy. The designs were ok, and I did end up buying furniture. The problems were 1) all deadlines missed (this was true before COVID and 2) the communication around furniture delivery was 0, with links broken on tracking page. The room I am currently designing for are in a location that is not my permanent residence, and chairs were delivered while I was not there. Fortunately, a friend of mine happened to be staying there otherwise the chairs would have been left out in the elements. Really need better logistical service.

After having tried several (much more expensive) designers and not being satisfied with them, and also having tried equivalent web solutions, I have to say Modsy was a refreshingly different and amazing experience overall. The designer assigned to my extensive project was super friendly, responsive (even over the holidays), took the time to understand my personal taste and vision, and delivered better results than I could have envisioned. They truly mean it when they say they will keep redesigning until you are fully satisfied (I went through 10 changes on one room, starting with big changes to super minute changes that the designer, Jennifer T, was more than happy to oblige). Their 3D visualization makes it industry-best in being able to accurately space out, arrange, and visualize the furniture (after having had mediocre experiences in other platforms). I've attached a picture of one such rendering. I also like how the designer picks out alternate options for each item and you can easily swap out and custom build your own renderings.

Love Modsy! Get the APP so that you can take a photo of your space. I sent in many iPhone pics too. I choose the basic package. My designer gave me three layouts - I didn't like any of them. After giving her feedback she came up with a great layout that we went with. Communication with her was easy. The best part is that you will see your actual space with new furniture in it. So helpful. Then, you can click on any item, like the coffee table, and it will show you hundreds of other options. When you click "replace", it puts your new table in the design photo. They didn't pressure me to buy anything, which I was expecting to happen. Really good experience. I will use them in the future!

I’m disappointed to say that I cannot recommend Modsy, which fails to provide the custom services they advertise. Seriously, you'd do better to download one of the many inexpensive apps that allows you see prospective furniture purchases in a scale model of your room. Modsy did little more. I had to send repeated emails – to no avail -- to remind them that I had already paid to include a custom piece and for a consultation. Worse, the “designer” paid little attention to the preferences and living situation I described in the signup questionnaire. One of the designs was a fire-hazard arrangement that placed an upholstered bench right against the gas fireplace! It also put delicate glass lamps in the middle of the room where there are no outlets (never mind that my questionnaire described my dog and teenage sons who would shatter them in a hot minute). Honestly, it felt like AI was doing the designs instead of a human being – pretty, but useless for my house and life. I have requested a refund, but even if I get the money, I’ll never get back the time and aggravation

The design service is pretty neat, cool 3D renderings, and the designers are great to work with. I paid for the Luxe package. The reason why I am rating this so poorly is their support and ordering processes are in need of a complete revamp. My first issue is that the ordering team constantly makes mistakes; canceled the wrong item, ordered the wrong item, etc. That in itself is not my major frustration, it's what happens next. Literally 30 emails back and forth trying to get all my simple questions answered, no way to contact support via a phone number and speak to a human. Items just show up at your door with no email or any notice from Modsy that an item was shipped or on it's way. I am constantly checking my account from when I should expect items. For ex; I have two items showing an estimated delivery in the past. Somehow the process is broken between the vendors, support, and the customer. It's a cool concept, I'd use them for design and stop there.

We purchased designing our living room from Modsy. I’d say the designer did an ok job of creating a model based on the information we had provided. Didn’t wow my wife or me, but was fine for the price we paid I felt. Couple of misses in the design were space and wall measurements which we realized later as we started setting up the furniture. Had we ordered everything they suggested, some of them wouldn’t fit or make the space look clumsy since they were bigger in reality than portrayed in the models. The biggest benefit we felt was the 3D model the designer created that we could play around with. Helped us create multiple setups and compare and make a final choice. We ordered quite a few items from Modsy. In the list was our dining table and chairs. The dining table arrived a month after ordering but came with a wrong aligned leg that the delivery team figured during assembly. This is where our experience with Modsy started going downhill. The delivery team gave us the option of keeping the table and working with Modsy to get a replacement leg or return the whole table for a refund. We chose to keep the table since we thought getting one leg replaced will neither be too hard nor take too long. And here started the painful episode. I tried to reach out to customer service and realized chat is the only option. Calling them is useless since you never get through to an agent with the reason being they are currently busy. Finally, we got someone’s attention through chat and the matter was escalated to the merchandising team. However, a week later they came back and flagged the item (specifically the glass top) as damaged in delivery. When we reached out saying that it’s just a leg piece that was wrong and not the glass, we were told that the manufacturer has said that a single leg can’t be replaced and has advised that we replace the whole table. We were also given an option for a full refund and return. Still having some faith on Modsy, we decided to go for a full replacement and mailed them the same. And again, we had no response from them for a week. Reached out to customer service, and got typical responses like “has been escalated” and “will be resolved as soon as possible”. Afterwards we received an email saying that the item (that we were advised to get a full replacement of) is out of stock with no available restock date. And here came the most bizarre of options. We were told we can either return the item for a full refund or we can keep the item as is for a partial refund. This is where I realized that Modsy customer service is a real farce. They have zero inclination for customer satisfaction and I say that because an interior design company which cares about customer satisfaction won’t give you the option of keeping a dining table that can’t stand for partial refund. Hence my suggestion would be to use the designs if you want, but stay away from ordering on Modsy coz all orders don’t go right and if yours doesn’t, Modsy customer service will be a nightmare.

Was very patient waiting for our designs. My roommate and I had sent photos with dimensions and much more. In the end the layout was completely wrong, special requests are ignored, and did not follow our instructions and layouts(we even went out of our way to put painters tape on the floor to designate our spaces). We had told modsy the design is completely wrong and they only fixed one room! It seems modsy is only pushing furniture they have available online without truly designing a space their customers would like. Also the designer is pushing her schedule instead of working with ours. We set a schedule to call and end up with the designers not calling...Modsy is not for people who have the time in the world some of us have to go to work and the designs are basic and uninspiring. Worst $112 spent.

It depends what you want - this is a cool idea, I did have some issues but they came through with customer service - their UI is glitchy (I uploaded custom pieces and they never got them, and it kept duplicating everything), and the editor that you get to use doesn't do much and isn't user friendly. I got this mainly to mess around in the editor myself but you can hardly do anything. The search and filters are painful to use. I'm sure it will get better in the future. For the price, it is cool to try.

Horrible experience. I loved my new bedroom design and ordered all recommended items. 5 months later and I do not have any of the main pieces of furniture - bed, 2 dressers, chair. My bed and dresser arrived at the delivery hub 2 months ago, but there is a piece of the bed that is still “in transit”. Every day I am told it is expected “today” and it never arrives and I’m not given any detail. It’s obviously lost. They will not let me cancel or deliver the dresser that is at the delivery hub. I am out approx 5K. Do not purchase from here.

I must post an update to my review - I was contacted by Eduardo, at Modsy, and they are fully replacing the accent cabinet! We are to keep the current one and continue to use it until the new cabinet arrives. He also checked the shipping time of the desks we ordered and indicated that they were on backorder from the manufacturer and gave an updated estimated shipping date. Though I still wish I would have known about the potential delays prior to ordering, I will say that I am very impressed with their responsiveness and willingness to promptly replace the item we received. We had Modsy re design our office space and our designer, Arlene H, did an excellent job. We loved the design she put together for us! We've ordered appx $4K total so far in furniture pieces that she selected for our office - 3 desks, 1 accent cabinet, and a coat rack. Though we are very happy with the design and promptness of the designer, we have not been that excited about the after purchase experience. All items we purchased were listed as "in stock" but then were given arrival times of 6 weeks to 4 months out. We won't have our desks - a key component of an office - for at least another 2 months and we ordered in May (it's now July). Had we known this information we would have selected different pieces that we could have received sooner, since there are now 3 of us in the office without desks. Our accent cabinet just arrived this past week when I happened to be out of the country for work so I had to have my young adult child receive it from the shipper. Sadly, one of the doors of the cabinet was not made/installed correctly and is very off level/crooked and scrapes the bottom of the cabinet every time you open and close it. It's obvious visually as well - the door handles are at 2 different levels due to this and there is a substantial visual gap between the door and the area is closes against. We have tried to fix it ourselves and it looks better but it is still not closing correctly and it's still visually off. I wish I had been here to receive it in person but I had to be away for work, so I guess that is on me, sadly. Overall, the design experience was excellent and I would highly recommend this service for the design team! But the ordering and quality of goods experience was not what we would desire. Though we had planned on ordering more items to complete our office design, I'm not sure that we will order from them again and instead may try to find similar pieces in our design elsewhere.

UPDATE, my complaints were resolved after going up the chain of command. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! My designs were beautiful however, ordering furniture has become a nightmare. Tried to cancel my items and told there will be a fee. I’m sorry if I cancel prior to shipping there should be no fees. I would not have ever tried to cancel if they would have worked with me in the first place. I’m thinking of just doing a charge back on my credit card if this situation continues.

I’ve used Modsy twice now, once for my living room and again for my bedroom because the designers do an excellent job (though will not take into consideration your budget). While I know we are in unusual times, the issues that I’ve had with both spaces last year and this year are with the process after order. Though it appears items are in stock, they are on back-order. Over half of my items, including the main pieces of my bedroom (mirror, dresser, nightstand, bed) will take 3+ months to arrive so I am sleeping on a mattress on the floor with no bedroom furniture in my new apartment and will be for months, yet everything has been paid for. Based on other reviews, this appears to be common. Also, ordering through Modsy is not cheaper and certainly not quicker. I would suggest looking for the items yourself. The shipping cost through Modsy I’ve found is at times higher. When I brought this to their attention with a screen shot of the cheaper price I was told, “our price is what Crate and Barrel quoted” though they say they will match if you find a better deal. I found that price on the Crate and Barrel website so I’d like a better explanation than, sorry that’s just what they told us. Finally, I bought a mirror that will take over two months to deliver. I found it on another site and it’s available to be shipped in three days. So, my advice to Modsy is that they need a new supplier. My advice to customers would be don’t use them if you want your items quickly, and do your homework with price checking. I will say that they offered me a promo code for my troubles which I appreciate but that doesn’t negate the experience I’ve had with the order process and the fact that I’m sleeping on the floor in an empty bedroom.

I used Modsy in order to design my office/guest bedroom. Initially i was a little bit skeptical and was contemplating several other companies before deciding on Modsy because of their 3d rendering. When I received my designs, I was in complete awe of the level of detail and the design itself. The room is perfectly rendered, the designer totally got my style and created 2 incredibly beautiful designs. I cannot be more happy with the result and this was worth every $. I wanted to keep a pull out couch and a desk in the room, which were added to the design and the designer worked around them. Currently i'm in the proccess of finalizing and purchasing every single piece they put in that design. To top all of that, their customer service is phenomenal and everyone i talked to was extremely nice, including the comments from the designer. This is amazing quality of service for extremely affordable and fair pricing. Seriously, more people need to know. It took me a long time to decide to go with them over havenly only because I couldn't find decisive reviews, but I'm so glad I did!! I will definitely purchase another package to add some details to my living room once I'm done with playing around and purchasing the items for the office design!

This is such a fun experience! You send them photos of the room(s) you want to decorate and they render incredible 3D versions of your rooms. After you've given them extensive information about your style, you get paired with a designer and have a video chat with them. Ours was great and took a lot of time to get to know our tastes and goals with our spaces. You can send photos of a few items you already own and they'll make 3D models of them so you can see how they'll look with the suggested items. The best part is the unlimited revisions to the design--once your designer sends you their design ideas (which took less than a week), you can ask them to make as many changes as you want. I'd definitely use Modsy again!

Let me start by saying - I know Modsy is a start up. I work with Small Businesses and I know it’s been hard during the pandemic. At the same time, when I am spending a lot; I expect timely, accurate responses and I’ve been quite disappointed overall with Modsy. I am at my wits end in getting replies; and will be exploring alternate options for the outstanding refunds owed me. In the mean time - see below on my experience and proceed with caution if you decide to use Modsy. DESIGNERS: I was initially quite excited after my first call with the assigned designer. Then I got my first designs back and it was evident she didn’t listen to me at all (as others have said.) She put together designs that just looked cluttered, didn’t follow my requests and didn’t account for basic logic (i.e., doors opening into pieces of furniture she recommended / positioned.) I shared this feedback and was encouraged that Modsy assigned me to a more established designer, who was very patient and ultimately provided me with good designs. Just be prepared for a lot of back and forth. ORDERING THRU MODSY: Simply put, do NOT do this. I have had so many issues! For example - I placed an order for items at CB2, via Modsy which didn’t get pushed thru for several days and by then the items I wanted were no longer available. But, had I ordered myself directly from CB2 when I wanted, would most definitely have received. Additionally, other orders with companies I can easily order from myself (crate & barrel, etc) wind up being quite delayed and no timely updates provided from Modsy, whereas my direct experience with these companies’ customer service (e.g., Crate & Barrel) has been fantastic. So what’s the point of using Modsy then? All told, order yourself directly - it’s not easier (like they claim) and pretty sure you can find better discounts yourself. CUSTOMER SERVICE: I’ve mentioned challenges already in getting timely replies but when there’s money/refunds on the line, I would ESPECIALLY expect a response, period - but instead, it’s radio silence despite 4 outreach attempts! I am still awaiting a refund for a damaged piece of furniture that was to take 3-5 days to process, and has now been over a month. I am also still awaiting the status of an item ordered in May, and have no idea why it’s delayed or when to expect it. This is unacceptable to me. I understand it’s hard to start and run a business during these times but pls respect me and my hard-earned money, and at a minimum REPLY back! I gave 2 stars not 1, because I do feel the second designer I got really tried to address my feedback. Meanwhile, the rest of Modsy leaves much to be desired.

The customer service is awful. One person said they could design my room, another rep said that they couldn't design our room. Then the person said they could design my room again, but a different rep cancelled the whole account. Then when i complained they said that they couldn't reopen my design because once they cancelled , everything is deleted. So I just asked for a full refund and went to Havenly - the process has been so so so much better there. I will never even try to use Modsy ever again. Beware of great frustration!

We just built our dream house, and are purchasing all new furniture for several rooms. I love shopping and looked for months on my own and was overwhelmed by the choices and what size furniture to buy, so I decided to try Modsy (after researching several online interior design websites) for our living room. I loved seeing the 3D rendering of my living room and them picking furniture that was a little outside my comfort zone! I liked certain pieces in each design, but I asked for a redesign because a few pieces wouldn’t work for our lifestyle. I loved the revamp. But I continued to research on my own and found a couple pieces that weren’t on their website, but were stores they worked with - and they were able to add those pieces for me to order everything together (with their Labor Day promotion + the sales on the websites). Customer service has been top notch and I’m excited to have them pick pieces for my kids’ rooms and playroom next!

Great experience in getting my living room and master bedroom design. The flexibility of the platform also allows me to choose different pieces of furniture on my own time. The Designer that was assigned to me, Noha, also provided a great foundation design that I could start off from. Without Noha, I would not be able to start doing the design because I am indecisive of the furnitures selection. Noha helped with by narrowing down some furniture selection and the platform provides a lot of alternative selections experiencing the combination of furniture would be tough to imagine even for a visual person like myself. Modsy had overall helped me overcome these challenges.

I'm currently redecorating the 3rd room that Modsy has designed for me. I really enjoy using their service because design is definitely not in my wheelhouse. You can get a beautiful design for a very reasonable price, and I also like having the freedom to use their design editing function to swap various products in or out of a design. Between their follow-up and the editing you can do, you'll wind up with exactly the room you want. My only frustration has been that it seems like there's always one or two products placed in the design that wind up not being available right after you receive the design. Rapid updates to their product inventory would be really helpful. Otherwise, working with them is great.

I purchased design for 5 rooms (during their memorial day sale) with the intention of doing it all very gradually. The first and only room I have used it for so far was out living room. Carli has been phenomenal. She had a tough task because my husband's two main aesthetics are completely opposite to mine so she had to find a way to marry both of our aesthetics. She presented us with two initial concepts and both were fantastic. We actually had a hard time deciding which one but eventually picked one then asked for a revision with a few minor changes. That was several weeks ago. We have since requested a few minor revisions since just after thinking about a few things but overall just love what we have. I LOVE that you can go into the app and swap items out (this has led to HOURS of entertainment for me). One thing that I wish we could do is remove items ourselves rather than requesting a revision. instead of a "swap" option just a "remove" option (like for wine glasses on the table or areas where it feels almost like there are too many items). We are going to be slowly buying items to achieve this overall look and then I will move on to the dining room, bedroom, and *hopefully* nursery.

Overall the service is moderately okay. If you know what you want and plan to use Modsy to put your vision into 3D form than this is not for you. If you have no idea what you want and are okay with them designing it than maybe it'll work. I know what I want, urban industrial living room, and although their team did a poor job at first their second attempt was better. Yet, it sill was not what I imagined. Trying to find items to add to the model is frustrating because anything will pop up when you search for the item. Example, searched for art and beds popped up in the search while other items did not. It'd be easier if they would have tabs like: decor, bedding, furniture, tables, sofas, accent chairs, mirrors, wall art and so on - making it easy to find items. Instead their searches are filtered by brand, height, width, color, price, material. It just makes no sense and harder on the consumer to search for items to place in their 3D models. Additionally, it's as though Modsy chooses which items will be selected from their partner companies without providing the entire product catalog from these companies. Thus, making the selection of items horribly limited. Modsy asked about companies that I like to shop at so I listed 8 of them and they shopped at none of them. So what is the point of asking if Modsy only shops for products at Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn and other high end stores. Don't get me started on trying to add items into the 3D model. Its hard to place the items, select items, rotate the items. Basically, the interface does not allow the average consumer to maneuver through the process with ease. It took me over an hour to try and rearrange one of the designs Modsy created that I just walked away. Also, when you edit a design, theirs or yours, it creates a whole new design. With how hard it is to add and rearrange items, along with the time it takes, Modsy should have the option to edit one design or create a whole new design while editing. They now have the option to delete unwanted designs, which is great, however, giving the consumer the ability to just edit one design without it creating a whole new design would save them time in the long run. They don't help you choose a wall color, which wall to accent unless you pay 10 dollars per color per wall and you have to know what colors you want and which wall to place it on. You're paying for them to put it in the design while you do the guess work. One rep told me that most people already know what color and which wall to accent. If I knew, why would I be paying them? Never pay for the $79 or $149 package. Pay the $59 to get a ruff idea of your space and what could be done then do the rest yourself because until they fix some major issues it is just not worth the additionally money spent.

The entire process is super easy, you simply take a video of your office, select some design themes that you like and the designer does everything else including the room layout, selecting the actual furniture, reviewing it with you and doing unlimited number of revisions until you are 100% satisfied, and from there you simply order everything with one click from the Modsy cart and everything is delivered to you. These people are absolutely AWFUL. It's a bit like paying someone for a sofa but they bring back a folding chair. Then you spend months educating them on what a sofa actually is, but they never get it. I have their LUXE package for three rooms. I'm over seven months in, and have only completed one room. This is primarily because their designers keep quitting and I have to constantly start over with a new person. This then is further compounded by their designers refusal to listen to their clients. I have spent months trying to explain simple things and their arrogance towards customers just leaves any and all customer comments in one ear and the other. I asked for a very colorful room, they gave me several black and white room designs that lacked all color. They then tried to put the blame on me stating, "I simply didn't fall in love with the design." If I buy a sofa and you give me a folding chair, of course I'm not going to be happy. In my seven months I have been assigned no less than six designers which is just infuriating. Again it's like taking one step forward and taking ten steps back constantly. It's a complete waste of time. I have tried to escalate my concerns but Modsy supervisors and management refuse to speak with their customers. They have arrogantly ignored several attempts to reach them, using variable methods. I even reached out to their VP of Customer Experience, still no response. This is not a brand who cares enough about their customer to keep their brand promise. There are better services out there, best to give Modsy a pass. ***update, I did email Modsy as requested and they responded, "we are dropping you as a client." They offered to refund my money. However, I had already invested seven months of my life with Modsy. I simply requested they finish the job they were paid and hired to complete. Their response was, "they would not be finishing my project," and the only compromise offered was a refund. Evidently Modsy takes a "how dare you complain about us mentality." So much for Modsy being a customer centric organization. They lack even basic levels of customer service. Over multiple interactions I can confidently say, these people are AWFUL. What they are selling is nothing more than pretty pictures. Someone will draw you a picture of your room, that has nothing really to do with your room, and then say take it or leave it. That's been my experience with Modsy.

This was terrific to get interior designer picks and an awesome 3d model to play with, for a fraction of what interior designers charge! Plus I'm extremely picky and I was relieved to not have to subject an actual human who I'm paying $150-200/hour to that heh. The Modsy quiz really nailed my personal style (on my second attempt at it). I used the ideas and even some of the furniture picks - I would have bought from modsy but found I eg wanted a custom fabric in the suggested sofa and modsy was only showing the standard choice (crate and barrel Infiniti sofa) or I wanted eg Alba console from CB2 but it wasn't showing at Modsy. So I guess the room for improvement is to have all the SKUs/options from their partner retailers.

Other than the delay in refund, modsy has done a good job in terms of styling. **update: still no word from Modsy even though they said they would look into the matter in response to this negative review, still no refund** I was pleased with the design services they provided, however, a coffee table that was no longer available was canceled from my order (after it was paid for) at my request. I have never been refunded and it is over $1000. Multiple attempts have been made to contact modsy. I keep getting the run around of “it looks like it was already processed” or “you need to call your bank”. ??? I have been refunded on any other items that were discontinued with no issue. However it has been almost two months since they said “in 5-7 business days a refund will be posted to account. Do not do business with modsy.

I had a great experience using Modsy. The process was easy and well explained. I also thought that it was VERY reasonably priced. I have worked with decorators before that charge a lot more money than Modsy. My Modsy designer and I had a phone call where we talked about what I was looking for in the room and the style I wanted. She designed the room and was able to make modifications easily from her end. She told me that she was going to keep making modifications until I was completely happy. And she did. After six designs, she hit it! We ordered all of the furniture she recommended and things have already started coming in. So far, everything looks great. My husband and I are so pleased.

Edit to 3 stars. Rendering is good, despite the delays I've encountered, I think it is still worth the money, and I will probably recommend to friends and get a few more of my own rooms rendered. It is useful to see how some pieces would look like, although I would not relay on them to do the final design of any room. Original review: Submitted a project and was told turnaround was 7-10days, on day 10, I emailed customer service to check on the status since I had not received any design, got a response 2 days later said they would check on it for me, and I haven't heard back. I was initially excited about it and have been checking my account every day since day 7. I am extremely disappointed that I have not received any design or further communication. *edit to say after messaging them on Instagram and Facebook (since there is no phone number to call), on day 13 I received a message in the morning where the rep said my project was started and it would be done with in 48 hours. Luckily, it didn't take 48 hours, I received the designs in a few hours. Render is good, but designs look like someone threw together in 5 minutes, they are not practical for a family with small kids (which was what I asked for in my original assessment), it feels like they just pasted a bunch of west elm and CB2 furnitures together with a lot of unnecessary accessories that no way would stay on a low shelf with multiple young kids around. There are also a lot of random floor accessories my kids would easily destroy in an hour. It's a pretty design for a single person apartment in the bay area perhaps, but totally not what I asked for.

Easily the most affordable way to get actionable and high-quality advice from experienced interior designers! My designer was very responsive and helpful in making my living room exactly the way I wanted. Highly recommend their services! I will add one thing, though. Many of their products are high-end, which means they are pricier. If you are looking for items that are not as costly, I recommend just reverse image searching their suggested products to find suitable versions that are more within your budget. Overall, their suggested items combined came out to be around $5k but I found my own similar items across different retailers for a combined $2k. As a result, I think the highest value-add of Modsy's services is the design advice and insight itself--and not the suggested products--but that design advice is really worth it!

They are a pleasure to work with and take all of the feedback to heart and are working diligently on getting the final changes done. The biggest thing I have learned as this is my first time working with a designer is don't be silent if you want to change something do it and everyone at Modsy has been happy to help right away. I am already loving the changes to my living room that have been made. I think also one of the best parts to Modsy is their willingness to work with your budget. Use them for help visualizing products in your space. The 3D modeling is amazing and fast. Hubby and I loved the help we got in this regard. However, be cautious about buying furniture pieces from them unless it’s from a store brand known to you like Crate & Barrel or West Elm... then at least you can reach out to them directly in case of problems. We used Modsy services to design multiple rooms after a remodel and bought some pieces through Modsy. Some items came quickly and in good condition... two large rugs, two lightweight accent chairs, a couple of mirrors. Small pieces like fake plants or cushions, posed no problem. But a console arrived damaged, and they sent another damaged replacement so we asked for a refund. And a clock similarly damaged both deliveries, but we accepted a rebate and kept it to refurbish ourselves. Two other large and expensive consoles still have not arrived ... months long wait-time, then delayed months more with no explanation offered. Upon enquiry, Modsy Customer service is unable to take ownership to problem solve or to even give me an explanation. They can only convey what limited info their system shows them. Incredibly disappointing, especially after spending a couple thousand dollars... doncha think?! I recommend buying furniture directly from a store you know or Wayfair instead of going through Modsy. Their strength is in 3D modeling and design.

Was really hopeful about this company. We appreciated the software used to provide the 3D viewing of our home, and the designer was responsive and ok. She wasn't amazing, but wasn't awful. The part we are really disappointed about is the products we ordered were not represented well in the software . The dining chairs ordered are an entirely different color. The rug we ordered does not look similar to its depiction online. Another item we ordered is damaged. We didn't read the Q&A in the return policy section and missed the part stating the customer is responsible for paying the return shipping unless the item is damaged. So we are now responsible for spending the money to return 3 large boxes that weigh quite a bit. I won't use this website again.

I had the best experience with Modsy! My designer, D’Arel provided well thought-out design solutions to a challenging space, and he made it look gorgeous! The renderings and 360 views in particular are amazing. My kids and I had a lot of fun visualizing the space and swapping other products. For what you get with this service, it’s a bargain! I love that you can shop at all price points across many stores. My designer also worked with pieces I already had that I wanted to keep. I’ve had design services done by one store before, but you are obviously limited to only what they have. The products I ordered from Modsy felt much more like my own personal style instead of a page in a catalog. I would recommend this service to anyone and will use it myself again in the future:)

The 3D representation of my room was completely off. I don't think they use the measurements I provided. It's a complicated attic space where one side of the room is longer and lower than the other side and at it's highest peak, the room is a little over 6 feet. They had mirrors in the room that would not fit in the room if I bought them. The room is wide enough that you'd be able to fit two queen size beds side by side with a little room to walk in between, but the rendering was too narrow. So disappointed. Emailed for some corrections to be made. Will see if there's an improvement and get back to you.

The only disappointment was the brands they work with are all fairly pricey and they went way over budget ($2500). I already have the major furniture pieces but to buy all the rest (coffee table, rug, plants, throws) would have been an additional $5800-$8100 per their design. I will take the ideas and have to find my own products, which means this wasn't as big of a time saver as I hoped it would have been.

The interface is clunky and time consuming to do anything but 1-2 rooms. Also, if you don't fit into a narrow project workflow they have pre-specified, the whole system breaks down. I bought an 8 room luxe package for a house I'm moving into, and they can't work on it because I'm not physically present in the home yet (even though I have a 3d model, pictures, and construction documents). The customer service team can't figure out if it can or can't be done and now my project is delayed by another week. Also, the examples of designed inspiration rooms you have to choose from aren't very impressive . I am likely going to request a refund. Lastly, no android app.

I was very disappointed with my experience after purchasing the open floor plan package. I had a lot of difficulty editing and adding items into my design using the search and filter functions. My experience has been frustrating and time consuming. I attempted for several days on both a PC and MAC. I also tried Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. I contacted customer service and they advised that I schedule time with a style advisor. I did not receive a call during the time scheduled yesterday and still haven't heard back from customer service. I would not recommend this company.

I had a great experience with Modsy. They designed our office and bedroom for us under the standard plan. I am very happy with the designs (mid century mod) and Riley was very responsive to feedback and changes we requested. The whole process was really fast and we were able to review our plans within about a week of submitting our info. I love the feature of being able to swap in pieces from their store. I write this review after three months of careful consideration of the experience I've had. First, the design services are awesome! Our designer really captured my style/needs and I had a hard time choosing a final design because I loved all the options! As others have mentioned, the 3D rendering is a nice feature because you can swap out furniture to see how it would fit in your space. We received our designs quickly and our designer was accommodating with revisions. However, that being said, the ordering process through Modsy's website has been a complete nightmare. DO NOT order furniture through Modsy! Modsy guarantees the best price, but I had to do a lot of my own leg work to double check the pricing and email to do a price adjustment. It makes it hard because some of the product names are changed across websites. Shipping estimates seem random and change all the time. It's completely understandable that there are delays during the pandemic. However, I am still waiting for a couch that was ordered in May. It was listed as "in-stock and ready to ship" back then, so I really have no idea what the hold up is and I wish I had just ordered it from West Elm directly. After Modsy said one piece (a dresser) was delayed until October, I canceled the item and ordered a similar one from West Elm directly. It arrived in three weeks! The headache of having to email every month for updates on missing/delayed items is just not worth it. Save yourself time and money and order any items directly from the external retailer. TLDR; DO use Modsy's design services, DO NOT order your items from Modsy directly--shop around or find similar items elsewhere.

We moved to a new house and with everything else going on, the last thing I could find time to think about was design. I had low expectations for my entire great room to be designed for under $200, but Erin, my designer, did an awesome job! I loved both designs and it was a huge time saver and stress reliever. It would have taken me months to try to come up with something that Erin designed in a week. I didn't purchase furniture through them, rather I found the items directly on retailer websites. The credit card rewards through other merchants (crate and barrel for example) are better than the Modsy discounts. I love my great room design so much, I bought another room and designed my entry way. I loved both! Highly recommend and can't beat the price.

I took a leap and tried the service and haven't regretted it one bit - in fact, I added an additional project for them. Ideas and communication with my interior designer were great. Truly, the only problems I had were with vendors when it came time to shop for items (West Elm delivery delays have since become legendary.) I had figured it was worth buying items through Modsy just for the convenience, billing, and that the prices reflected sales or other discounts. It was also useful to have a list of alternative items to consider if my item was out of stock or I wanted to try something different. But I became a true convert when an expensive lamp turned out to be defective and the vendor was not responding to my request for help. Eduardo at Modsy not only handled the problem for me, but he was able to get the vendor to ship an identical replacement to me. As far as I'm concerned, that result saved me more money vs. handling things myself than the Modsy design services had cost. Great experience.

Avoid, avoid, avoid! This company is not honest and they will SCAM you! First, they were late with my design and from social media it's no secret that this happens to everyone! Who wants to wait 3 + weeks for a design when there are lots of online designers (like Laurel and Wolf, Decorist etc) who can do it within 1-2 days! They also FALSE ADVERTISE! I ordered a bunch of items from my design shopping list and they tried to change the price after I already paid! One of the items was a $129 small area rug. They later tell me that the rug is actually $800 and they asked if they could charge my credit card for the remaining $680! They also increased the shipping charges AFTER I submitted my order. I think that is pretty much the definition of bait and switch. This has never happened with any other company. Why can't Modsy get their prices correct the first time? Something is very fishy with this company. Also lots of items in my design were not in my shopping list and the measurements given on Modsy were VERY different than the retailers websites. I found out after I submitted my order that the main art piece wasn't in stock! And lots of the items are expensive but NOT good quality. I checked the reviews for the create and barrel items they suggested ( like $400 bookshelf) and every single one of the items had very bad reviews. I no longer think Modsy is a trustworthy company. Their customer service is the worst I've ever experienced.

Total respect for Veronica, who worked with me, planning the new layout for my room. She was VERY good. Trouble started AFTER I placed my order. Even though all but one of the items I ordered from Modsy were listed as 'in stock', most of them have not shipped yet, more than a month after I placed the order and it's practically impossible to have a responsible human address the issue. While Modsy was VERY QUICK to take my money which they did the instant I placed the order, they are now very much frozen when it comes to actually delivering the items that I ordered. To make it worse, the persons who bothered to reply to me via email - and it is IMPOSSIBLE to get anyone one the phone, probably because they do not have anyone answering the phones - claimed, untruthfully, that one justification for their not shipping things to me was their team carefully inspecting all merchandise prior to shipping over a period of 2-3 weeks. Of course that was not true. The one item that was actually shipped to me came direct from manufacturer, completely bypassing Modsy and, in fact Modsy asked ME via an email to carefully inspect the item before I signed to accept delivery. Another lie is the 'in stock' claim. One of Modsy reps explained in an email that 'in stock' should not be interpreted as if Modsy had anything stocked, because they don't. Apparently it means that the manufacturer might have it but Modsy cannot know for sure so the 'in stock' claim is meaningless. And, of course, there's the always and ever-convenient COVID-19 excuse. Apparently the fact that mostly elderly people can catch it is a good excuse for Modsy to take their customer's money and then NOT deliver the goods ordered or delay delivery for months. Because... COVID-19. To conclude, had I known today what I know now, I would have avoided Modsy like the plague or... like the COVID-19. And that's a shame because the interior designer I worked with was super-good. So, if you have money to spend but don't really need stuff shipped to you after you pay for it, go to Modsy. They will be more than happy to take your money and then not bother your with deliveries... for months... apparently.

We purchased two rooms from Modsy- our living room and master bedroom. I didn't think the designer was really paying much attention or spending a lot of time on us. (A google search revealed my suspicions were well-founded - the designers are paid very low rates and also by the job rather than the hour.) The initial phone consult was only 15 minutes, and a couple things we mentioned on the call were ignored. Example - we said no navy, and one of the two master bedroom designs we got was all navy. Another example, I asked for 2 counter-height stools as the living room adjoins the kitchen, but both designs showed bar height stools. The design we got for the living room was also not to scale, and so a couple of the pieces they recommended wouldn't have fit in our actual space. Given all this, I didn't feel like it was worth my time to go back and ask for re-designs and I started putting the rooms together myself. We ordered two pieces from our designs, a hamper and a rug. The rug was delayed by a couple months, and when it eventually came it was the wrong color. It took me a week and several emails to convince them to take it back. After several more weeks and still not getting the correct rug, I wound up just canceling the order. I asked for a refund 3 times over two weeks and got nowhere. Eventually I disputed the charge through AmEx and it was resolved the next day. (Thank you, American Express!) Twice during this prolonged and painful saga, I left a voicemail on the 1-800 number and neither time was my call ever acknowledged either by a call back or an email. I gave Modsy 2 stars because I did use a couple of their ideas for furniture arrangement, if not their specific items. It was nice to browse their online catalog and swap in different items from different retailers. But I would up regretting the money I had given them - I'd rather have saved the money I spent on the design work and applied it to my new furniture. A service that was supposed to be a huge time saver ended up being a real hassle. Edited after Modsy responded: I appreciate the public response and acknowledgment of my issues, but the tone of your response doesn't match the reality of my experience. The latest chapter in the saga: I was charged 10% of both my items for shipping, but was only refunded half of the total shipping on my order, even though the item I paid for in March and never received was $700 and the item I actually got and kept was $150. So in effect, I just paid $42 in shipping for a $150 item.

Modsy AWESOME. I was shocked and amazed that for the price we got full renderings of our rooms, we could switch pieces in and out based off our preferences, and our designer Lori was very on point. 10/10 would recommend to those who are not blessed with a full vision for a room.

I used Modsy based on a recommendation from a family member. PLEASE do not use this service as they have serious delivery problems and I think their ability to service clients has been compromised by Covid and they are not transparent in their dealings. My family member mentioned slow delivery services, but what I have experienced is unfathomable. I ordered a couch from Raven Home, which I now know is a Modsy owned company. I ordered the couch on August 23, 2020 and in the last 17 weeks, I have been given not less than 3 delivery dates and still no delivery. It is impossible to speak to anyone at this company. They "cut their customer service lines because of Covid" as was explained to me by email. The design services were great, but the customer service is awful. Whatever you do DO NOT ORDER FROM RAVEN HOME OR ANY MODSY OWNED COMPANY. Also if you do use this service pay by AMEX because you need someone who can go to battle with them to get your money back because surprise, surprise no one has responded to my request for a refund. I read that at the start of Covid they had massive layoffs, which I understand, but dont CHEAT THE CONSUMER because you have business problems. I am now out more than $2500 dollars, so unless you have money to burn, DONT USE MODSY

We had a great experience with Modsy! We were stumped on the layout of the living room in our new house due to lots of open walls and doorways, and Modsy gave us the solution. The process started off with a fun questionnaire that helped us define our decor style. Next, we had a quick video call with our designer, Agota, to talk over our hopes and requests. She created two layout solutions in bird's eye layouts and we chose one. A few days later, we had two full renders of our room with different decor options! It was incredible to see our space created in 3D and to use Modsy to switch pieces out and see what a difference it makes on the space. Agota considered decor that we wouldn't have thought of, like hanging curtains behind the couch and adding a bar cart for hosting. The time between ordering the service and receiving two design options was only a week–obviously, don't expect every project to move this fast, but we were certainly impressed by the responsiveness and turnaround time!

The experience was easy, however my design was 1-week late and it has been a nightmare trying to get a correct credit back form the retailer that I went through (CB2). I'm Canadian and was charged the conversion rate but not given a credit with that conversion (i.e. credit was for $49CAD, but I was charged $49USD). It's been a lot of back and forth and I have yet to receive a proper credit for the Canadian website that reflects the correct conversion.

I used Modsy for some ideas to redesign two rooms. The design service was basic but helpful for ideas. On 9/1 I purchase two pieces of art that I could only find on Modsy. I received an order confirmation and then absolutely nothing. I reached out once and they said it's marked as paid and would ship soon. Then nothing.... I reached out 3 weeks after purchasing on 9/21, and they finally had an update that it was on its way...having SHIPPED on 9/21. So without me asking, I doubt it would have shipped. Its now arriving when I'll be out of town. It is a terrible shopping experience, avoid purchasing products from Modsy and just go direct. Edit after Modsy Response: Yes, I received an additional follow up email this morning. With options that are not at all helpful. So consumer beware, buy direct and hire designers direct!

Super bummed! I saw a beautiful ad on Redbook magazine about Modsy and thought we would give them a try. I purchased a room package on March 4th. with a design delivery window of 7-10 business days. It took exactly the 10 days. Of course when I got the email, I was excited! Well , I have tried every angle to open the project on the Modsy page. All I get is a blank screen. I have tried customer support email. Funny, there is no actual phone number you can reach. So for now, I not recommend this design company. Maybe they are having system glitches? Edit: The Modsy support team was able to contact me via email a couple of days later and fixed the problem. The designs are beautiful!

Very disappointed. We bought into the marketing so we purchased a multi-room package at the beginning of the month. They blew through the 6-10 day promise, was 20+ days before we saw the first design, and another week or two before the final room in the package. On top of this, the designer took vacation in between (why assign a 6-10 day deadline assignment to someone going on vacation for multiple days in the middle??). The design itself was uninspiring, with a few good but disconnected ideas. I blame this mostly on how little they pay designers, so designers (even skilled ones) can’t afford to spend much time at all thinking about your end product. Becomes more clear how little time was spent when you see multiple rooms. This service is not meant for mult-room design needs, probably better off with a free consultation from a furniture company or a traditional decorator.

I have left multiple emails in regard and have called their service line numerous times, all with no response or reply from them. I really benefitted from Modsy's design help for a few rooms in my new house! Communication was great, the designs Allison made for me were right in line with what I wanted, and probably the MOST helpful thing was to be able to swap and mix and match and try out different accent items in the design myself after it was 3D rendered. I was able to substitute in items similar to ones I already owned and verify that the items I was buying through Modsy would work well all together! Gave me huge peace of mind to make larger furniture purchases.

We had such a good experience using Modsy! We signed up for the Luxe package and worked with the best designer! Request Keaton if you can! We're moving to a new apartment and getting completely new furniture in every room. Keaton came up with the most beautiful designs! And given the supply chain woes, I feel like the shipping times are beyond reasonable, around 2ish months for everything to arrive. And that includes custom-made pieces! It was a touch on the pricey side, but the incredible ease of it all and how fun it was makes it all worth it. I'm completely inexperienced with interior design and feel so excited to have my house look like a magazine!

I had Modsy design my kid’s room and they provided a really beautiful design that suited my taste. They gave me two options but the first was so lovely, I went ahead and ordered pretty much every major piece they suggested. It took me a fraction of the time to order all the furniture as I had a clear game plan, and they make it super easy to order with their concierge service. Left to my own devises, I would have been deliberating and dithering for hours on what to buy and the results wouldn’t have been half as good. The furniture is now in place in the room and it looks as good as in the design. Everyone keeps complimenting me on the room. I usually never write reviews but I really feel like this service was well worth the $79 dollars I paid in design fees.

I am surprised by some of the negative reviews, especially regarding customer service. I had a great experience with Modsy for my home office and just purchased design help for another room. I agree with the reviewer who said that the 3-D tools and product limitations are frustrating. (They are time consuming!) But I was overwhelmed by their customer service. They did multiple redesigns with quick turn-around times and even offered to help fix an issue I had because I'd measured incorrectly. I wish them much success!

Summary: get their interior design service, but do not buy form them. I loved the interior design service by Modsy. My interior designer was very kind and responsive. We iterated over multiple design and I loved the final design! Absolutely nice! I would give them 5 star if my experience ended there. The worst part was ordering items from Modsy. That experience felt like talking to someone in an island with no internet connection :( The responses was slow, and to my surprise, the shipping and ordering process was even slower and painful. 1. Customer service ignores requests. I contacted customer service regarding picking up the item and all of the sudden they disappear. Before this, there were always there to check the status, make sure they sell you something. But only when I told them I can go and pick up the item myself, the ball dropped. I contacted them multiple times after that, but they did not respond. They wanted to ignore, so that the time window for the hold of the item passes, so that I cannot pick up the item any more. I was constantly contacting them and could not get an answer. 2. Shipping is painfully slow and unsustainably inefficient. Modsy chooses another company to do the shipping, and wow, it IS the slowest and the most inefficient way of transportation. Read this: The item was about 30 miles from where I live in California. I told them I can go pick up. They did not respond, so that the item ships so that they could say "sorry the item is shipped on on the way". The item was shipped from CA to NC and to my surprise, AGAIN from NC to CA to the original location! I live 30 miles from the original location in CA. I know, this is THAT crazy. That's 5600 miles of unnecessary travel... :( Have you heard about sustainability and climate change? I guess this should sound familiar. They only did this so that "it is in their warehouse in NC first" If you are reading this comment until now, is because they have not tried to do anything about this or responded to my last emails.

I am the type of person who can watch HGTV and be like “OMG I love this”, or “ew no that’s gross,” but if you asked me what my style was or told me to decorate a room, I wouldn’t know where to start. So as you can imagine, going from a 425 square foot 1 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment to a 2,600 square foot 4 bedroom 2.5 bathroom home with 2 living rooms was overwhelming. This lead me to start looking into interior design services. I found Modsy through a Facebook group and many of the women on the comment thread raved about it. After deliberating for a few weeks I decided to purchase 6 rooms. At first my husband rolled his eyes and thought this was a waste of money, but once we started receiving designs that all changed. We had a couple of rooms that felt awkwardly laid out. The way the previous owners had the furniture was not ideal for our needs. We had no idea what to do. Modsy helped us come up with layouts we never would have thought of. Our designers took every note and put up with my multiple changes and requests. (There were many. God bless them for not kicking me to the curb!) I never could have achieved this look and feel on my own. Our bedroom is my happy place. With a king sized bed, the most unique dressers I have ever seen, and the vanity of my dreams — this will easily be my most frequented room in the house. Our den was a bit of a challenge. I liked the idea of the first couple of designs, but something just wasn’t right. After a few rounds I asked my designer to scrap it all and start over and she happily did so. The result was perfect. It’s light bright and airy and compliments the beautiful landscaping right outside of our sliding glass door. I can’t wait to entertain post-pandemic in our living room. We thought we knew what layout we wanted in this room and Modsy completely reimagined it in a way we never would have come up with. The room feels twice as bug with their design. Finally, our dining room, entryway, and office are all equally beautiful. As my many rooms got closer to complete, I was able to ask my designers to make sure the rooms all felt cohesive with color, look. and feel, and that they just all flowed — which they do. I have recommended this app to so many people. I can’t state enough how much stress this takes out of the design process. I keep telling all of my friends who are moving to set aside a small budget for this because it is so worth it!

I am really disappointed in Modsy customer service. If you have bothered to read other reviews, they are true. I found value in being able to use a digital layout of my project room to visualize and swap out different shapes, sizes and colors for pieces in my room to come up with a concept (the original artist concept was not at all similar to the rooms I liked in my questionaire- I ended up redoing the whole thing). I paid for expedited designs, and these were not supplied on the promised date, and initially customer service said if they were late another day they would give a refund? But they were already late and within the regular delivery window, so why I did I pay an extra $50 for this service? I complained and eventually was refunded. Then, I made the mistake of ordering furniture through Modsy. By the way, much of what they offer for sale can be found direct from companies for less. I ordered a lamp that didn't seem available anywhere else, but when it arrived it was much more yellow than it appeared in the Modsy photos, and I requested a return. Again, no phone number to call- 4 emails over 6 days, and zero response.

I asked for one round of changes and the results were great. My studio looks much better even only using what I had but with the layout suggested. I must say I haven't ordered furniture through Modsy. Mostly because I wanted to stage my purchases over time and to stay within my budget I had to look elsewhere. I plan to order a couple of items from them. Overall very happy I worked with them!

Modsy design services are excellent and thrilled with my designer and the products but the reduced stars are for customer service and shipping issues. Biggest drawback, you cannot talk to a live person, everything is via email to a general mailbox and you get the auto response and days later a psuedo generic response. My issues were (and still are) time sensitive including one of their delivery services keeping my items and not having any idea on scheduling. Currently they have two of my items and I cannot schedule a delivery date! Since October 1st I've been trying to schedule a date, ANY DATE, for my items and Modsy reps have told me misinformation : 1) that the delivery service would contact me within hours (Nope) 2) the delivery service will get back to me with scheduling options (Nope) 3) the delivery service "likely will get back to you at the end of next week" (if they did that would be 14 days after my initial request to schedule delivery. How is it possible that a delivery service does not know its schedule for the next two weeks or wont work with customers to deliver an item? And yes this is a "white glove" shipper which means they set up and haul away items. I've never had such an issue with an alleged delivery service and not sure why Modsy customer service cant help since I supposedly have a "concierge" to handle all my issues. I will update review but its a shame that Modsy excels on designs and products but falls short on the final delivery of purchased items.

Overall I had a great experience with Modsy. The only issue I had was that the initial 3D model was delayed because of what I was told was an unexpected problem with the software. Modsy made up for it with an apologetic and prompt customer service team who addressed my concerns and with a designer who provided suggestions I loved. I felt that my style was definitely kept in mind and the designer was very patient with all of my questions. The initial budget I suggested was exceeded, but the platform provided a great way to search for alternatives and was easy to use. Well worth the price and would for sure use Modsy again.

Our family recently moved into a new home that has a basement with a theater room and another room with an open layout which could be used as two areas. We used an online design service years ago on our existing home and weren't thrilled with the service. As a result, I did a lot of research to see what was available. After reading a couple of blogs that compared services, I decided to go with Modsy due to the rendering and unlimited design requests. I'm a product designer who appreciates not only the aesthetic quality of designs, but I also value function (which in this case translates to a good layout and flow of the space). The realistic renderings of your space enable you to determine the overall look and layout. There is no guesswork! Our designer blew us away with the design and choose items that matched our taste and budget. She spent the most money where it made sense (like quality sectionals that would wear well with teenagers and their friends). We received our designs pretty fast. They were so impressive that they inspired other ideas, which our designer was quick to incorporate. During this time we were not in the house yet and we're blown away by how accurate the renderings were. It was like we were in the room. It felt like some serious Hogwarts wizardry going on especially when you held your phone and turned around for a 360-degree virtual view of the space. My husband was so impressed he suggested buying another package to do three more rooms ????! That speaks volumes because he is not quick to part with money for just anything!! Someone recently called him based on a referral to try to sell him a custom suit and he flat out told him, “I'm not interested because I'm too cheap!! They sent an email that they do not do projects under construction and I can use this for another room or upgrade to their expensive deluxe package to get any help. Received as a gift so I used the design services, which are available for free from most furniture companies. Only had one call with the designer and never got a design I liked for my living room. I purchased some items on-line through Modsy...never again. Prices are higher than other on-line vendors, shipping costs are high, wait is long and customer service is terrible. Some items I ordered arrived damaged. It was a difficult and confusing process to get a refund. There is no way to contact someone by phone, but when I finally arranged an appointment for a customer service rep to call me, they didn't call, I was told their e-mail system was down and they did not receive my e-mails. From the response below the excuse has changed to their e-mails were not filtering correctly to my inbox. Seems like shifting the blame to me.

Wonderful way to decorate one or two rooms without having to hire an expensive designer. My designer, Hannah, was able to understand my style and what kind of a look I wanted in my master bedroom. Offered 4 wonderful designs and I'm now waiting for all my items that I chose. She is even working on several more options that we discussed. Can't wait to see her design ideas. Modsy is a god send. I have used Modsy now three times each time when I moved to a new small apartment, and I literally do not know what I would have done without it. The price is so reasonable for the service. Modsy creates a virtual rendering of your room that is accurate in measurements so you can see what furniture will fit correctly. I love that they give you 2 designs from an interior designer and then from there you can play around and swap out products and make your own designs. I cannot recommend this enough!!! Take the leap and just do it. You will not regret it.

I stumbled upon Modsy during the pandemic when I had a lot of extra time on my hands & staying home was the thing to do. I am so glad I found them! Uploading photos of my space was easy, their turn around time was quick, and their design of my living room was amazingly accurate. I was assigned to a design specialist who was very pleasant, professional & fast. I already had an idea of what I wanted but needed help visualizing it. She created a fresh design of my existing space & worked with me to create the look I wanted. I asked for several design revisions so paying for that package was worth it. I personally had a great experience with Modsy. Support has been very responsive. The designers have asked for feedback and made changes quickly. The ability to take the designs and change out the various pieces of furniture is really useful. The performance of the customization tool is slower than I would like, but I understand the limits of a browser based implementation. Haven’t bought any items yet so I can’t comment on that part of the service. Otherwise I think it’s a very convenient and reasonably priced way to get help with designing a living space.

I am very pleased with my experience with Modsy! It's very reasonable, and the items that they provided into my design were within my budget. My designer responded right away and made revisions in a timely manner. I like the fact that each new revision is a new design so that I can keep referring back to the old designs, as sometimes it ends up I liked something in one of the older designs better. They also have quality control in that another person checks in as well to make sure everything is going okay. I love this service and highly recommend Modsy if you would rather not pay an expensive designer, and if you want to mix and match in a realistic 3-D space that replicates your room!

This experience has been a disaster from beginning to end. It took weeks to get my first design suggestion, and then they switched my designers immediately afterward. The prices I received when ordering my items were not competitive, the delivery dates have long since passed for several of my items, many of them were broken, and the designer gave me the wrong information for some of the orders I made (saying something came in three as shown in the design, but then I only got one of the three for the price). The vases I ordered for a cart that was shown in the design were actually too tall and didn't fit, even though I ordered exactly from the design. Now, it has been more than a week since I've emailed asking for return labels for the broken and wrong-sized items and I get absolutely no response. And the customer service number is no longer working. I would not recommend this service to anyone, a colossal nightmare with terrible customer service.

He came up with a design that blew me away!! There was no pressure to buy absolutely everything the designer picked out, although he did stay within my budget. I compared prices to homegoods and Modsy was usually cheaper. I plan to use this interior design service again for my master bedroom and nursery!

I wasn't sure what to expect, but I had a GREAT experience! You create a 3D scan of your room, which turns out incredibly accurately. You choose inspiration pictures and give a written description of things you want, and have the option of zooming with your designer. I was given two room layouts to choose from, and then the designer creates a look for your room in the 3D layout. You can then click on any item in the room and purchase it or swap it out for another item. You can also get revisions from the designer. I found this to be WELL worth the money! And I loved the design I received.

I had the most amazing experience using Modsy! I cannot say enough positive things about Modsy. My designer was incredible - she helped me to design from scratch a bedroom and a living/dining room. She was spot on in understanding and figuring out what my design style was (even when I didn't know what it was myself), she was so fast in coming up with the first design and making any revisions, she was so responsive and brought great energy and enthusiasm to our meetings. The modsy customer service people are excellent as well. I highly recommend using Modsy!

I used Modsy for the first time to help decorate my family room. We were in need of a couple pieces of furniture and some finishing touches to help accessorize it. Overall, I loved the designs and thought for the price, it really couldn't be beat. The room was an exact replica of my room. It was amazing. After a couple designs, the designer really captured our style. I also had unlimited swaps, which I loved. My biggest complaints are that they have very limited products in their catalog and there was a lot of waiting time during the process. I was on the hunt for a larger coffee table, but didn't want to spend over $1k. They really only had 1 piece that would work, which was frustrating. I also found it difficult to figure out the best place to go for help. There was only 1 general help email address and all correspondence takes about 2-3 days to hear back, which got a little frustrating Overall, I'm pleased and I'm happy that I have a great blueprint to work off of. I'll prob be purchasing the products myself. There was no real advdantage to the shopping concierge. I had to email them if I saw a better price anyway, so I'm better off just doing it on my own. I'll also save myself 2-3 days off the ordering process since everything took days to hear back.

I am very disappointed with this service. Nearly all of our items arrived damaged or were backordered after we explicitly asked for in stock items. It has taken us over a month (including MANY back and forth calls/emails) to resolve this with customer service. The team is slow to respond and I have not had much luck with getting the team on the phone despite calling multiple times. I think Modsy could be a promising business if they spend significant resources on customer service and quality control of the products. I am still waiting for a refund on an item that has now been delivered twice to me damaged.

I found the 3 dimensional room rendering and the designers input to be invaluable. It was a smooth and collaborative process with the designer attentively listening to my feedback. I relished showing off the design choices to friends and subs that were in the works to gain additional insight. Overall very satisfied with the front half of the process from capturing the room layout to finalizing the design choices. Disappointed with the consolidated ordering and procurement of selected pieces. My orders are NOT updated in a timely fashion. For months the various merchandise delivery isn’t updated at all. For the last several weeks, my order summary is showing 7 items as “in transit” “ to be delivered” when in fact those prices are already delivered and in my home. Other items that are back ordered have not had an an update in months. I just have not seen the benefit of the consolidated order. If you can use the design services then order for yourself outside of the Modsy application, that is what I would recommend.

Recently built a studio space and was finding it challenging to figure out what size sofa chaise would work in the space. I found Modsy and all my questions were solved. The consultant I got was amazing and we went over my needs and wishes in a short phone call. The designs were perfect and we tweeked them until we came up with perfection. I used Modsy to give me advice in decorating and buying new furniture for my new apartment, my living room specifically . It wasn’t much but I feel I could at least get some professional advice. However, although the customer service was very good, always getting back to me with a day, I really found that they really weren’t much help. The designs they produced didn’t do anything for me, with one being bland and the other nothing special . The designs came back with annoying white circles on info where to purchase the recommended designs so I felt like Modsy is more of a retail store pushing certain brands than an actual design service. I believe the main problem is that the cheapest package $49 doesn’t really delve into what you like and what kind of style interests the customer. You take a genetic style quiz which doesn’t seem to capture your style and send photos of your space. There is no one on one discussion on what style you prefer. This non-personal way of interior design didn’t work for me. I suppose one could try to get some one on one time with your design team but it wasn’t offered . I was so disappointed that I haven’t got the heart to try to get other revisions. Of course, I realize that $49 isn’t very much for professional advice but I’d rather pay more and actually get more detailed one on one help from an actual designer.

It’s okay. I think there are other companies (Specific stores- so they’d likely only do your designs with exclusively their products) that offer these services for free. I just haven’t been that impressed. I’m definitely glad I paid the $50 for express design delivery. Although it took me a month to figure out what that even meant; which leads me to my biggest complaint. They don’t give you much information at all about their services. It’s very vague. Just not impressed. I have spent over $2,500 and shipping for each purchase, no option for express shipping (which is honestly what I thought I was getting with the express design delivery- again I’m glad I paid for this service I just wish they offered express shipping prices for the products. I’m not going to wait 7 months for a chair. Ive been waiting forever for my stuff. Little by little it comes but now I’m waiting on 1 $50 pillow. Also some of the products were sold out by the time I was able to decide on a design, the designer gave me a couple options but they have nothing similar to replace the item with. Kind of changes the entire feeling I had for the design I chose. Each piece matters to me. Ugh. Huge disappointment

I used Modsy for a living room re-design. Satisfied with the look itself, but most of the furniture didn't fit in the space despite having to send in measurements of every inch of the room. My designer was initially responsive but never finished fine tuning for me. Don't bother ordering furniture from them; you can find most of it elsewhere and you'll be happier and your sanity will thank you. I ordered through Modsy and found many items were "backordered" for months so had to swap out main picks for others. Once ordered, tracking didn't work, was delayed or became so backordered that I asked to cancel. Cancellations had to be reviewed and approved (very arduous to do this and not a guarantee) and even if cancellation is approved, they'll keep your shipping fee despite the item never actually shipping. Shipping fees were finally returned to me after 15 emails and finally disputing with my credit card company. ( I still haven't seen the credit hit my credit card statement so I can't actually confirm this yet!) I'm currently waiting on approval for a return even though they give you a 30 return policy. Apparently they need pics of the package that the items came in along with close up pics of the item?? Their MO seems to be to charge your credit card immediately and then keep your money unless you are relentless. They wear you down with a process that seems arbitrary all the while never letting you speak with a real person. No phone numbers to call. No clear resolution aside from credit card company disputes. Best advice I can give is to stay away.

I used Modsy to decorate my living room. We just bought a new house and had this huge living room space that I had no idea what to do with. The whole experience was fun and easy. My decorator was great to work with. She really took what I told her about what I was looking for and turned it into the perfect space. I am in love with it! The 3d model they made of my living room was spot on and really impressive. I purchased a few items from their website but will shop around for cheaper prices for certain pieces that I know I can find similar somewhere else. Overall, it was a great experience and I’d use them again! *Update* I really wish I had price checked all of the items that I purchased. I did search a few items that did not come up on a Google search. I decided to do a more thorough search today, after doing another room through Modsy. I was surprised to find several items on Amazon and Overstock for way cheaper. I went back to my first design and double checked the items that I purchased. I paid quite a bit more for end tables that were cheaper on Overstock. Just do your research before you buy anything!

My experience with Modsy was nothing short of amazing! We started off our three bedroom project with a few measurements and photos (nothing too extensive ;) ) and a style quiz to help them understand what we wanted. After just a few days our results came back and they were beautiful! They had found the optimal layout for the room so that although it was small it didn’t feel cluttered. We decided to make some reversions to our initial designs to make them exactly what we wanted. The customer service was incredible! After sending them a detailed email explaining what we wanted they promptly sent back a new design. Overall, this experience was amazing and I recommend that everyone use them to help decorate. Besides, with such reasonable prices how could you really go wrong!

I liked the design and app. The experience is wonderful until the delivery of the furniture. It is much quicker to go directly to the manufacturer and possibly even get a better price. You can order, of course from the website if you don’t care how soon you will get the furniture. However, I have made that mistake and purchased items through the website that were originally supposed to be delivered within couple of weeks. Currently, pushing 3 months and it is a disappointment to hear that my items that on manufacturer’s website are available to ship within 4 weeks if ordered now, on my Modsy order just slipped out by another month. Now my nursery is missing the needed items, so I am considering canceling the rest of the order altogether and buy directly from the store. That’s why 3 stars and not 5.

I am not one to do reviews normally but the service with Modsy has been awful to say the least. I had a design done and that was good they worked good on that so I placed an order for some items based on what the website said for lead times a lot of items were 1-2 weeks out which isn't terrible. So I placed my order; once I get the email and it stated lead times of 7-8 weeks on some items and most were 5-6 weeks out I was shocked and I tried to cancel my order; I sent in the cancellation email within the first hour of getting my confirmation email. Well it turns out even though the website states that you can cancel within the first 24 hours without issue that is not the case. It was been close to three weeks now and I am still trying to get some items cancel; they are still working on it but their vendor is not getting back to them.... I am not sure how that is my issue if I cancel within the first 24 hours. I have had about 38 emails back and forth with support and they are "Working" on it; or they have their escalation team "Working" on it but not getting anywhere. I am just baffled by the level of service they have been providing and disappointed that they try and do business this way. The designs look great I will give them credit for that. But I would never recommend anyone to try and order anything from them unless you have lots of time on your hands to wait and try and fight them tooth and nail if anything is wrong.

Update: Increasing the rating from 2 to 3 stars because Customer service reached out and worked with me to get in touch with Deliverright leadership. Once that was done, I finally got a schedule for the couch. In addition, Modsy refunded me a percentage for the trouble. Pros: Their actual business service of providing a design with 3d images was great. The designer we had worked with us to provide us multiple iterations of our rooms which we liked. If all you are looking for is a good inspiration for your particular room I would recommend. FWIW I did mine in October 2020. Cons: I ultimately decided to order one of their custom couches (Ravine) as it looked good in the design. I ordered Oct 2020 and it is now July 2021 and I am still waiting. They contract with a manufacturing company who most likely had issues due to covid. The information I got was that I was charged the full amount in Oct but construction was not started until Feb. Also, MODSY use a company called Deliverright for their white glove delivery and they are also a hassle to deal with. They picked it from the manufacturer beginning of June and I am still waiting after 30 days. So MODSY is great for design but I don't recommenced ordering any custom furniture (Ravine). My friends who ordered from other companies received theirs within 2 months vs my 9 months of waiting.

Modsy is THE BEST! With this service, you are able to easily create a 3D rendering of your room simply by using the camera on your smart phone and walking the perimeter - no tape measure required! From there, your designer will create a couple of layouts and design your space, based on your desires, preferences and budget. I just used Modsy to design my open concept living/dining and my office / library and it's beautiful!!! We went through a number of iterations (all included) and I also played with the designs n my own. The platform allows you to swap out products if you see something you like better, so you can get a sense of whether it would work in your space. What's great is Modsy has partnerships with dozens (if not hundreds) of furniture stores, including Crate and Barrel, West Elm and many many more. No need to leave your couch to mix and match the pieces to get the look and feel you want for your space. You can order through one integrated platform and Modsy serves as your concierge. The design service was great but ordering merchandise went horribly wrong due to bad customer service. I received the wrong color product twice. The first time there were no issues getting a replacement sent. I received the second incorrect product 20 days ago and Modsy is ignoring my requests for a tracking number on when to get the correct item. There is no phone number to contact anyone at Modsy just email and chat on their website. When I asked to escalate the issue in chat they just said no. They finally agreed to a phone call with me to discuss resolution today and then Modsy did a no-show. Modsy could have done a great job resolving the issue and getting me the product I ordered but chose not to. I am beyond disappointed with the service received, I have never experienced something like this before.

I really liked working with my designer (and the designs were fabulous). However, after the designs were done and I started purchasing the items via Modsy, it has been a downhill experience. Customer Service is just horrible. The phones never work, and email responses have been very slow (11 days) and when you do get a response by email, the solution offered is not ideal. I have been charged shipping fees on items which I have cancelled but items which had not been even shipped yet. I still am waiting for responses on some of my questions (my initial order was made on June 2nd). I also found out that due to Modsy's error in placing an order with a vendor (confirmed as the order confirmation I got when placing the order through Modsy said the correct color, but the vendor said they received an order (from Modsy) for a different color), the wrong color chairs were delivered yesterday! I initially recommended Modsy to about 5 other people, based on my positive experience with my designer, but I am really regretting that I did so based on the poor customer service. Really disappointed...

Do not use this service and DEFINITELY don’t buy the furniture. I've had multiple issues with Modsy over the last 8 months. I've had to return 4 products so far because most were damaged and two of them also didn't fit in the space. I tried to return one furniture piece because the paint started chipping after only 3 months, but Modsy wouldn’t take it back since it was outside their 30-day return window. The quality of furniture is garbage unless you order a brand name. I'm still waiting for my couch to be delivered that I ordered 8 months ago, and now it's taken nearly 4 weeks to get a response from a designer. This process has been a complete nightmare.

Working with Isa on the design and layout was amazing and I would highly recommend that to other friends and family. However I made almost $2500 in purchases from the designs through the app and it’s been nothing but issue after issue and customer service is horrible. The app/website says they have a 30 day satifsfaction guarantee and that you can return in 30 days for a full refund but dang they make it nearly impossible to do that. I had one $120 item that I didn’t love and wanted to return (and I still have all the packaging) and after 7 emails with Joyce in customer service I still don’t have a shipping label and I am getting told since the item is not damaged I might not get a full refund ! I also got a package where the invoice is for someone else (and the package has that persons order in it) but Joyce keeps saying it’s right because it has my name and address on the shipping label. Total nightmare - tried calling the customer service line with is only open 3 hours daily and got voicemail - hoping someone will call me back quickly to resolve these items but will be recommending to folks to use the design portion and then find similar items at other places with better customer service and easier returns. Update : I ended up working with one of the customer service supervisors Eduardo and he was more helpful in getting me a refund for the item I didn’t want and the items I was missing since I got someone else’s package but it took several emails and calls - far more than it should take an e-commerce site. He acknowledged there are some growing pains in the customer service and inventory departments which makes sense but I still stand by my previous statements - use Modsy for the layout and design (would give that portion 5 stars for sure) and then order items of similar style and size from somewhere else or be prepared for a potential long haul if ordering through them.

Excellent service compared to some other online interior design service with a much better 3D layout editor. All I needed was my iphone and the Modsy app, and it created a perfect 3D model of my room, I did not even need to put the dimensions! The designer was prompt in setting up an initial 15 min meeting to understand my vision and gave the initial layout designs in just few days. Only recommendation is to add more product to the 3D catalog so that clients may choose different products in case something is out of stock. Highly recommend.

The rep I reached, did not know how to help to me and advised someone would call me back. I am giving Modsy 3 stars for 2 reasons....First...ordering through their platform has been a complete challenge combined with mis-information and a possible way to speak with an agent. Second....they have no way of fixing their mistakes in a timely manner. I placed a large order and made sure I knew all the shipping availability information before placing my order. When my order was processed it said 3 of my items were going to ship to me 4 months from now. The products said in stock and ready to ship. So I tried forever to find a number to call only yo find out they shut their call center down and only communicate via email. WHO DOES THAT? So I start my emailing. Escalate to a manager and 14 days later still do not have a credit and continue to hear that they are awaiting confirmation from the vendor. I kindly asked them to pick up the phone and call the vendor. Why is this so difficult with computers and phones. That’s when they told me they only communicate with their vendors via email. OMG!!! So while I loved the designer experience I was completely disappointed with the ordering experience and getting my order. They only got 3 stars because of the design team. I would highly recommend the designers and advise you to take your designs and purchase your own products direct from vendors.

We just purchased a new home and I needed help with design layouts and decorating ideas for our living room and my husband’s home office. I loved working with Modsy. For our living room my designer kept making changes to the designs until we found the perfect sofa and layout for my unique space. In my husband’s office in one design she had an L shaped desk which we had never considered but loved. When it came time to shop we bought the desk for the office and lots of the built in bookshelf decor right from Modsy. For the living room furniture I just went to various furniture stores and showed them my Modsy design of exactly what I wanted. If they didn’t have the sofa I wanted we left. Made shopping so much easier. I would highly recommend using Modsy. You can make all the design changes you need to and the design team is super easy to work with.

Before you sign up for this service, be forewarned exactly what services you are paying for, and what is actually delivered. I paid for the "premium multi-room" package, which entitles you to "direct access via email or phone to your designer." Turns out you can't contact your designer by phone at all. After receiving the initial design via email, I asked for my first phone call and was at first told "no" and when I insisted I finally was able to schedule a short call. A few weeks later, I again asked to speak via phone and was told that their phones are "offline" due to the pandemic. The other big issue is that Modsy tries to get you to buy through their portal, but there are lots of products you can't find through their site, even from stores or vendors that are listed as partners. It appears that Modsy has some kind of arrangement with their vendors, which gives them financial incentives. I'm fine with that, but if your website states that you can buy products from, for example, Crate & Barrel, but very few of their products actually appear in the Modsy portal, then it's not really a truthful representation. I am waiting to see if I can get Modsy to actually give me access via phone, as promised.

Within an hour, I received an email that this item was unavailable and I would be refunded in 7-10 days. They had JUST TAKEN MY $800 an hour ago! I have been waiting now for two weeks and still don't have my $800 back. You can not reach anyone by phone and the only email response I received said they would initiate the refund and confirm the amount in 5-7 days. WHAT??!! I need my money to get another bed ordered. With the long lead times on everything right now, they are making everything worse by holding onto our money for so long. If you know within an hour that an item (that was paid for!) is not available, they need to refund that money immediately so the customer can order something else. Since I received my designs a month ago, I have ordered six items from Modsy. As of today, I have received one item, three items are supposed to ship at some point - no idea when, two items were cancelled, and I am still waiting on an $800 refund for one of them. In contrast, in that same time period I have ordered five items from Wayfair. I have all of these items in my possession. *************** INITIAL REVIEW: My Modsy designer was great! She designed my bedroom and my very challenging long, narrow living room. I am so pleased with my designs!! They’re stunning, and exactly what I wanted. I just started purchasing some pieces to get started and it’s so quick and easy! I don’t have time for shopping and I get overwhelmed with too many decisions, this process is perfect for me! I’ll update with photos when my room is done.

We used Modsy to design 5 rooms at the same time. Our designer helped us tweak the plan until we were happy and all the spaces flowed together beautifully. We bought some pieces on our own and ordered some with Modsy, which was easy and helpful and great quality. I've used designers before and the process with Modsy was just as easy or easier. I'll definitely use them again.

I am not someone who has an eye for decorating so I was pretty excited to invest in someone to help me create a vision from some of the ideas I had. However, what was really disappointing was that along the way as I was trying to get help designing the room I would express the type of furniture I was looking for and the vibe I was trying to create and the designer kept telling me that they didn’t have anything like that in there items. I was not aware when I signed up with them that it was really a service to sell their products more so then help me decorate the room like I want it.

I ordered many items through Modsy and received zero help for missing and broken items after writing repeatedly and waiting a month. You would think that as soon as I notify, CS would contact vendors promptly but Modsy did not. Design service is reasonable and engaging.

I received an uninspiring design - that pretty much ignored the style I wanted (beachy). Phone consultations didn't happen. I decided to purchase a few items anyway - but when the 2 poufs arrived they were kind of a mess - messy seams, loose threads & floppy. I requested a return - that's when alarm bells started to go off... several emails, sending photos, and I'm still stuck with these things. They were ever $200 - I could have got better looking ones for half the price. I'm ok with gambling some money on a design that didn't provide much. But I will never buy things from the site again - buyer beware - it is not easy to return things from Modsy. You can get free shipping, easy returns and much better customer service elsewhere!

Fantastic designs and value for the decor recommendations. BUT DO NOT ORDER furniture through Modsy. If anything arrives damaged it's an absolute nightmare to get the order corrected or even a vendor to claim responsibility for the transaction. I had to refuse delivery of a $1200 chair I ordered 3 months ago, waste two hours calling countless phone numbers and only told to wait 2-20 weeks with a resolution (this leads to a 6-7 month delivery for a chair). Buy direct not through Modsy. It's not Modsy's fault but they have no role in exchanges, refunds or damages and the customer is left figuring out how to fix the situation.

I paid for the premium service, and it turns out that was a mistake. I did get to speak with a designer, and I did receive a great 3D rendering and two impressive initial designs. I was delighted. But then everything changed. I requested a change to my design online and via email - you are supposed to get unlimited revisions and help from your designer on a faster timeline if you pay the much higher premium price - and my designer said she’d get right on it. It was supposed to take 2-3 days. I waited a week before I even wrote to complain. My designer apologized for the delay, saying she would get me the revision the next day. I haven’t heard from her since and certainly haven’t received design revision and it’s been over two days now. I have written to her and to the general Modsy customer service email address to express my disappointment and have received no reply whatsoever. I feel that I have been ignored and cheated. They did not fulfill their promises. And now all those enticing sales and discount offers they have been sending me every day are just an insult since the best of them expired while I was waiting for them to respond. Perhaps if you just go with the basic package and plan on having a DIY experience you won’t be disappointed. Paying for premium service was definitely a mistake, though. **UPDATE** The Modsy customer service team got back to me once they realized what had happened and could not have been more generous or helpful. They refunded my money AND put me in touch with a new designer who seems to have a much better understanding of what I’m looking for in my design. I was really impressed with their response. It has really restored my appreciation for the things I originally liked about them. Every company has issues occasionally. What matters most is how they deal with those issues. Once I could get beyond my first designer - which was more difficult than it probably should have been - I couldn’t have been happier with their response.

To echo the sentiments of most of the complaints on here, the customer service is horrendous. From start to finish this has been a very frustrating process. It takes several days to get any response from any representative. Every item I ended up ordering from Modsy has been damaged, the wrong quantity, or shipped to the wrong address. My next step is filing a complaint with BBB. Hopeful a representative from Modsy will see this and finally reply to my attempts to contact them.

I was severely disappointed in the quality of product I received with Modsy. My designer (who was professional, prompt, and courteous) seemed to ignored my directions. I requested traditional furniture, and not midcentury or modern furniture. However, the designer continued to add modern furniture to the design, no matter how many versions we had. I don't know if this is because of the limited options she had, or if she just did not understand what "traditional" means. I also noticed that nearly everything in the room was bland, despite how many times I requested color! I wanted color in furniture, drapes, rugs, etc! Additionally, I was frustrated that I had to specifically ask for wallpaper in my design more than once. I was told I needed to purchase a sample wallpaper in order to see it on the design, but that turned out not to be the case. I was also frustrated that the program would not allow the designer to display the wallpaper on the attic wall of the design. Finally, I was looking for suggestions on furniture and décor and was prepared to spend significant money, but I found all the suggestions to be repetitive and not to my taste. Where are all the options? Why was I only allowed to see 3 - 5 options, and why did all those options look the same? What a waste of money. I will never recommend this site.

Great design process and results 5 stars- minus 3 stars due to Very Poor execution and updates on managing my order of $25k. Estimated dates have been missed for almost all furniture, without proactive communication about the kids or new estimates. The 1 stop design and shop convenience that is marketed is very much off from reality of what I’ve experienced. I’d recommend design inspiration from Modsy, but ordering direct or finding similar products in your own if you’d like more control over your purchasing experience.

I will never use Modsy again because they use DeliverRight for deliveries, which has been, on average, 1-2 month delayed over each one of the initial Modsy ETAs (which were already 1 month after paying), and last time they cancelled and postponed our delivery date 3 times in a row (the last time without even calling us to warn us about it). EDITED: Modsy called us and claimed they'd help us with the problem. 1 week later, the shipment that had got cancelled and delayed 3 times in a row just got cancelled a 4th time, so nice words but no actions

Absolutely frustrated with this company. They do decent designs but they are honestly a mess. I had designers change 4 times on me and most recently they have become unresponsive and don't take accountability. I constantly have to follow up for revisions, orders and refunds. They will not refund timely and accurately. I had a order cancelled and they didn't refund me the full amount and left off $20. After e-mailing god knows how many times I eventually disputed the amount. Modsy finally e-mailed back saying they would refund after I dropped the dispute which I did. I provided them the letter of proof but they STILL haven't refunded me my $20 and mind you this has been going for over a month. They are absolutely ridiculous and service level has really dropped since I started. As mentioned designs are okay but items are way overpriced. I had two more rooms left to do but I will try Havenly or Spacejoy. STAY AWAY from this company!

It consisted of an apology, explanation that service was shaky due to 'turnover at the top,' and a promise of a prompt update on all outstanding items. Result? > A merchandise refund was shorted without an explanation. > When I inquired about a discrepancy; no explanation was offered, but the remaining amount arrived a few days later. > Promised update? Nope. None. And no response to a follow up inquiry from me. My POV hasn't changed: run in the opposite direction...

I would use them again though as the process was easy and the rooms look great, but hopefully some of the problems with get worked through. In all though, I would use them again!

Overall I had a great experience with Modsy. I love my designs and ended up purchasing multiple items from the design. I love the ability to see the 3D renderings and also to be able to swap in items to be able to see what the changes look like in the room. Customer service was excellent throughout the process. When I had an issue with an item being on sale when placed in the cart and going off sale when I went to check out. They don’t control the prices of items but still helped me with the difference when the item again went on sale a few days later. Only con is the process of managing deliveries. Given they are purchased from many different vendors and can be shipped at different times (out of Modsy control) it can be a bit difficult to keep track. I would definitely use Modsy for other rooms in my home.

I put off getting a package for over a year because I was afraid that I would purchase the package and hate the design. I WAS WRONG! I bit the bullet and purchased 3 room designs. The designs were very close to my ideal room. I tweaked them a little and now have exactly what I want. I worked with Katherine and she got my style and taste the first go around. I couldn't be happier with my room designs. The only thing is I wish some of the products weren't so pricey. If I can't find knock-offs it may take me a little while to finish all 3 rooms. But at least I have a design and can purchase items as they come up on sale. I know exactly what to look for a buy!! I'm kicking myself now for waiting so long!

Like most of the poor reviews below, I am also experiencing delays and non-responsive canned answers. I had read similar reviews prior to my purchase and despite hoping for the best, my orders have also been delayed for months. They don't have the capacity to maintain an accurate truthful inventory. For example, when you purchase an items it says it's in stock, and keeps getting delayed each month at a time. I ordered some chairs that were "in stock" back in November it's now February and I'm allegedly likely to get them now in early April. If they were at least honest from the beginning I would make an informed decision as to whether I want to purchase elsewhere or if I am willing to wait that long, but they don't give you that option, when you least know it you've invested months and all you want is to have dining chairs to sit on... and don't even get me started on the sofas, expect automatic delay for at least 6 months. Read the reviews, if you're willing to wait months and months, then go for it. Can I please have my dining chairs by Easter?!!!

This is my second time using the company. The first time was excellent. This time around was horrible!! You can tell that the first designer just threw something together. Everything looked out of place, except two chairs. I asked for a revision and it was terrible. I emailed the company and asked for a different designer, she tried but it was just okay. Initially I was happy with Modsy and my design/working with my designer etc. however when it became time to implement the design I felt like they had fallen short….and the purpose is for the design to work in real life, right?? I had paid for the luxe package specifically because I was doing a renovation. When it became time for me to place the furniture in the space as recommended I realized that the furniture was nicely chosen but the space itself was not put into consideration. An interior designer should worry about dimensions in a room, making sure that there is enough space to walk around the dining room table in between other pieces of furniture and this was not done. Modsy as an interior design platform should include dimensions as part of their process in order to make it functional. Also their 3D rendering couldn’t include my cathedral ceiling and part of this countertop was only half included making the designer add bar stools to “air” bc the countertop wasn’t there. Additionally as part of the luxe package it was supposed to include a few pieces of furniture that I already purchased/wanted to include. The way the website reads is as if the 3-D rendering people build your furniture for you custom so that it’s in the design however that was not the case. The sectional that I gave specific dimensions for I realized after purchasing furniture and trying to make the room work that the sectional they used in the design was not the correct dimensions. Yes it looked the same but it was not the right size. Therefore impacting how the recommended furniture worked. Also the dining room table that they were supposed to make look like mine was just one selected from their catalog. The one selected was the same dimensions but was a totally different color. It was impossible for me to envision the design with a random color table That didn’t go with the design at all. So my designer was kind enough to change the table to the right color but then the table size changed (rectangle to circle). Impacting me envisioning the design in a different way. So I don’t think this was a fair representation of their method. Another flaw was that the chandelier recommended to me was not dimmable so I had to go out on my own searching to find one that was. And finally like other comments have mentioned I did feel like their catalog of items that their designers could recommend were very limited. My designer often gave me links for things outside of Modsy as recommendations which were helpful but it showed that they were limited. In conclusion after working on numerous designs and even purchasing furniture through Modsy because of all of these reasons I had to return the furniture, stop working with my designer and hire a REAL interior designer. One of the first comments my new “real” interior designer made was about the dimensions in the space ….where was this conversation with my designer in Modsy? For all of these reasons I would just be careful about the expectations that you have.

I used Modsy for design for 4 rooms. It was helpful for layout but I felt like I had to find most of the main items in the design myself as my designer was not coming up with good options after multiple redesigns. I also ordered multiple items from Modsy and they were unable to price match for one of the items that offered free shipping on the company's website. I asked for the item to be removed from my order (it hadn't been shipped yet) and the customer service was slow to respond and not helpful. It still has not been resolved.

I was googling interior designers when I came across Modsy, the price seemed reasonable so I decided to try it out and I am glad I did. On the day of my consultation I was sick with COVID. Morgan my consultant was very sympathetic, professional and understanding. I explained to her that I did not want to change my furniture, I just wanted to see if there was a better layout or just see if there was something to kick my design up a notch. Morgan came up with two layouts and suggestions for a few pieces which I really liked. Modsy and Morgan exceeded all of my expectations. Great service.

Design package was fine; responsive, with some good ideas (albeit fairly generic). As other reviewers have mentioned though, I wouldn’t recommend ordering furniture through Modsy. Website is misleading in terms of delivery times - expect 4 week delivery times for “in-stock” items. Prices also seem overly marked-up on the non-branded pieces.

I have NEVER written a Google review but my experience with this company has been so incredible frustrating that I need to let everyone else know what they're getting into. I ordered a two room design service back in March - this part was great! I ended up purchasing a couch through them (Modsy/Ravine Home) and I still have yet to receive it. I get that everything has been delayed due to COVID but 5 MONTHS!? Fast forward, I finally received confirmation that delivery was imminent. Unlike other furniture companies, the tracking system is extremely poor. I was supposed to receive the couch TODAY. Then I receive an email notification stating that I had to reschedule to next week. WHAT!? I called Customer Service for Deliveright which is the trucking company that they use. Apparently a truck "broke down" and can't get here today. Rather than accommodating me by putting it on a different truck to get it to me asap, they are extending the delivery by a week since that is probably their normal route to the area. My husband is in the transportation business so I know how this works. They are choosing not to do a special delivery to my city. They have other trucks. They also said they left me a vm about the truck's mechanical issues - I did NOT receive a VM. Feel free to use their design services but BEWARE. DON'T EVER BUY FURNITURE FROM THEM!

Maybe use their design service, but steer clear of ordering anything. The design process is pretty slick. Liked it a lot, even if initially despite saying we needed stuff in 30 days they recommended items that turned out to be back ordered for 5+ months. That said, the furniture order process to truly awful. Steer clear of buying anything through Modsy. Items that are “in stock and ready to ship” turn out to use delivery services that take months. Their tracking system can’t work out of items have arrived or not. The shipping and return fees are really high (and not very transparent up front). And good luck talking to a live person to work through delivery problems and damaged items if the delivery doesn’t happen between 11-3 PST (we got badly damaged items twice - maybe not Modsy’s fault, but they controlled how it was handled). The people on their live chat don’t have authority to make any basic decisions. Not a chance we will ever use Modsy again.

I was a little skeptical but very pleasantly surprised by the design for our master bedroom. The designer really seemed to understand the look I was going for and put things together in a way that I never would have thought of, building her design around the bed I wanted to keep. I am implementing the design plan through strategic purchases over time and I am so pleased with the results so far. The room is starting to look "designed" rather than run-of-the mill. The turnaround time was very respectable and the online dashboard is easy to use, letting you sub in different options for pieces to nail down the look. I've already recommended the service to my sister and I'm moving ahead with a second room myself.

We built a new home and wanted to start fresh with decor. Modsy did an amazing job! The design recommendations were perfect. The designers were friendly and attentive. And the app is amazing! I love the fact that once you land on your desired layout, you can use the app to shop for alternative pieces and then swap in the other items you want to try out and see what they look like in the room immediately! Attached are a couple pictures of the dining room design. Design four was an initial suggestion and design seven is where we ended up. Now we’re moving onto the entryway and the living room.
