Garrison Hullinger and his team designed our new build dream home from the house plans to all the interior architectural details. The thorough attention to detail, listening to our wants and needs, making our home not only beautiful but extremely functional, and thoughtful design suggestions was the best experience we could have hoped for. Our budget was kept in mind throughout the process as well. GHID not only made our dreams come true, they exceeded all of our expectations. A joy to work with and we can't recommend them highly enough.

GHID did an absolutely fantastic job with decorating our house. We had spaces that we did not know how to make the best use of, and they turned them into spaces that are not only aesthetically beautiful but also fully functional and comfortable. Throughout the project the designers were very transparent and flexible about the process, professional, patient and open to help and answer any questions we had. We were amazed by how well they transformed vague ideas in our minds into beautiful pieces of furniture and spaces. To have witnessed the remodeling of my apartment building first hand was like watching a train barreling toward an unwitting deaf traveler skipping along the tracks. One hopes with all the strength of his will that the train will slow in time, but, as so often happens in this life, one's hope is not sufficient to change history. The implementation of the apartment's redesign is only explicable by the owner being a sorority girl who recently discovered Pinterest and Instagram influencers and immediately decided to start a business. Regardless of your aesthetic preferences, the actual execution feels cheap and like corners were cut to attain the image. Substance is put second (maybe third?) behind image (and appearing photogenic). I will admit, there are parts of the change that are appealing, like the color coordination, but as a central exemplar of the entire approach: beautiful fig trees and solid couches in elevator lobbies were removed and replaced with plastic snake plants and absolutely rickety, spindly denim-wrapped loveseats. The view from the aforementioned lobbies is now obscured by another botched element: terrible lengthy -- far too bright -- LED lights line the ceilings. This makes it impossible to look out over the view of the 13 floors of the apartment at night, forcing one to look at their own reflection, which stands as something like an unwitting physical metaphor for an obsession with image over substance.

I recently did a major remodel of both the guest bath and master bath in my home. I worked with Nikki Maeda, one of the lead designers at GHID, and it was an excellent experience. She exhibited a blend of skills that were perfect for me in that she listened carefully to what I wanted and provided options for me to choose from that clearly reflected my tastes, and she also used her experience and vision to make suggestions when I either was not sure what I wanted or when she knew what I wanted just wasn’t going to work. When we encountered inevitable changes along the way, Nikki was attentive and responsive to help keep things moving along on schedule. I am so pleased with the end result in both of my bathrooms. I went from a dated ‘70s motif to an updated design in both bathrooms that is both functional and visually very appealing. This is my second project with GHID, and I am delighted with the outcome!

We were referred to GHID through friends who had designed and built a spectacular home with them. We hired Garrison and Collin to help us beginning with construction design phase and clear through interior decorating. They made this overwhelming process so much easier. They were able to take our two very different tastes and strong personalities and blend them into a home style that reflects our entire family. Our builder, who was skeptical, ended up raving about Collin and his team. Lindsey and Eric were fantastic as well. They were extremely organized, level-headed, calming and responsive. I would never build another house without them!
