There are not enough words to thank Stephanie for the unique design provided to the cafe' in Knox United Church. The design blends into, enhances, and augments the preexisting surroundings of the over 100 year old building. This is truly an inviting, comfortable space which generates a sense of welcome and belonging. I have recently spent many hours enjoying coffee and conversation in this very special place. Did a good job with design but don't ask for a breakdown of hours when they go over budget. They provided a quote based on specific hours for each aspect of our house but after receiving the first bill I requested a break down of where the hours were spent, I received a long email from the owner Maylee basically telling me I should not have requested a breakdown and I was told our house was more work than they expected even though they had all our blue prints and we sat down and explained everything to them before receiving the quote. They also did the most important rooms last so we could not tell them not to worry about the less important rooms when we went over budget. After requesting the hourly breakdown and being told off and not receiving anything, I was told they apparently ate a few hours and did not charge us for them and if I wanted the all the drawings we had to pay the outstanding balance. We paid them to received our drawings and all the sample tiles and hardwood, but I noticed our paint colors were not provided, so I requested those and was told to provide a $1,000 retainer for them to figure out our paint colors. I found this amount to be excessive for paint colors and a bit odd since they already picked out our tile and hardwood. We stopped using them after we got our drawing and did the rest ourselves, we even changed a lot of the tiles they picked out and hardwood selected by them so I don't think we really got the value for what we paid. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
