I do not have enough great things to say about LUX Design and my designer, Negar. I moved out of my house to a condo in April and hired LUX to essentially start from scratch at my new condo. I met Negar at the condo before I moved in and I am thrilled to say that she demonstrated incredible passion, dedication and professionalism in her role. I truly felt that she genuinely cared about what and how my new home would be furnished and was so detailed oriented that it was like she was designing her own home. I explained to Negar and the LUX team that I wanted to be involved with the design but did not want to be involved in implementation. They were very accommodating to my ask. From start to finish, Negar and LUX were responsive to my questions, suggested exceptional recommendations for furniture and accessories (great quality) and when the time came for delivery, I gave Negar a key and did not even have to be home for the final set up. I walked into my condo after work one day and was so impressed with the final "reveal". Negar worked incredibly hard and over evenings and weekends to ensure every detail was perfect. Her excellent taste and dedication was able to shine through when I saw the final product. My condo is a place that I truly love coming home to and would not change a thing. I thank Negar and the LUX team for making my condo a wonderful and welcoming place. Highly recommend.

My wife and I moved to Toronto from Calgary as we travel for work quite a bit and chose to hire LUX to design to furnish our 2 bedroom condo on Queens Quay. We were were thoroughly impressed with the service and creativity our designers at Lux brought to the table. At only 1300 square feet the space was quite compact but our designers made it feel twice the size with the design they implemented. What we particularly liked was the communication between our designer and ourselves as well as with the managers in the office. From the start to completion it was a great experience and we were able to move into a fully furnished condo in 7 weeks! They even took care of sourcing and installing art work and final accessories which really made our space come alive. We had a fantastic experience with Nimrah Syed as our designer. We contracted for the condo-quickie package and initially wanted a burnt-orange sectional plus a mid-century modern theme as our starting point. At our presentation meeting, Nimrah showed us an incredible blue fabric for our sectional, (a colour we NEVER considered) and paired it with the most amazing, bold, navy and silver wallpaper. We were sold immediately. The bedrooms are now cozy and modern and really reflect our mid-century aesthetic without getting too “Kitschy”. Nimrah was able to bring in our original colour scheme by choosing orange-cushion dining chairs and a beautiful olive side chair. Also, we were able to incorporate all of our existing accessories as the colours worked so well. Nimrah was wonderful to work with - so nice and attentive and responsive to our likes and dislikes. When something didn’t work, she sent it back. A big shout out to Marie and her movers and installers. It was fun having them around. I have to say something about the quality of finishes they gave us - a gorgeous and durable fabric on our couch, a bold wallpaper we both covet, a beautiful rug that responds to our robot vacuum, the stunning blinds, the headboards on our beds...the bed furnishings...the kitchen light fixture...Thank you Nimrah, for everything..You are THE BEST... We hope to do more work with Lux in the future.

I have worked with other designers before but the Condo Quickie really appealed to me. As opposed to previous experiences this was an all in one service so I didn’t have to waste time coordinating different companies to get my condo designed. A month and a half after I called them, they had completed the design, ordered the furniture, had their construction crew make minor changes and set up the entire apartment. At one point during the process, I had agreed to a bookshelf as one of the items, when it came in it had some defects to it. Right away, LUX took it back, and quickly exchanged it for a another one alleviating me from any hassles. I will definitely be recommending them to my friends and family.

I live in overseas and inherited a condo in Toronto from my parents in 2019. The condo is located in a prestigious building in downtown Toronto overlooking Lake Ontario, and since it is a family heirloom, I did not want to sell it. However, the condo had not been renovated for a number of years and needed a major upgrade. Unfortunately, my biggest concern was that living 10,000 miles away, it was not going to be possible for me or my wife to be very involved in the renovations or even supervise the works on a day to day basis. We needed someone that could bring it all together for us and do a great job. We were very lucky to find Lux Design. Not only did they redesign a beautiful apartment for us, they supervised the demolition, the renovations, the purchase and placement of the furniture and fittings, and handed us the keys punctually when the work was completed. All of this happened in a timely manner even though the building is very strict about permissions and procedures being followed and work timings and protocols being adhered to. I love Lux’s client focused approach and how they brought everything together with their creative, technical, and management proficiency. The team that managed our account was energetic and creative. They consulted with me and my wife on everything from the flooring to the ceiling to the lighting to the carpets and the furniture, lending their expertise but also listening to our needs and suggestions, while at the same time preserving our favorite parts of the condo that held special memories for us. What they have created for us is a beautiful, functional and modern living space with perfectly synchronized designs and color schemes between the living spaces with attention to all details, and it is in perfect harmony with the lake that it overlooks. This has also greatly enhanced the value of our condo. Lux not only created a beautifully designed apartment for us but also stood by their work and when small defects were discovered in the dining table or some of the spotlights were not working months later, they had them replaced immediately. I only wish I would spend more time at the apartment. I would highly recommend Lux Design to anyone who needs a design company to do a turnkey project like mine.

I hired LUX Design last year to assist with a full renovation of a new house that I purchased. Having never worked with a designer I had no idea what to expect with such a large project, and wanted everything to be perfect. When I approached LUX they walked me through how the process would work, and how they would handle everything from A to Z including planning of the renovation, picking the finishes, furniture and materials and overseeing everything on my behalf. I was skeptical of the finished product since I had some very specific requests like integrating LED colour lighting through the whole home, and wanting a very modern design. LUX put together a design for me that was really unique and I felt they understood exactly what I was going for. As part of my package I received full colour renderings that were invaluable in helping me see past the removal of existing walls, gutting of my outdated kitchen and bathroom and visualizing the addition of closets and new powder room. When I signed off on the design, LUX essentially took a set of keys from me and coordinated all the work, oversaw work by their contractors on site, looked after having things delivered and set up, and took care of any issues that arose (i.e., fixtures arriving damaged from suppliers, having to build my custom bar on site since prefab would have been too big to get up the stairs, an off coloured countertop (which they replaced within 3 days with no questions asked!)). While the unexpected issues were stressful, LUX proved that they are experts in what they do by making the right decisions and handling everything very quickly for me. The furniture selected was exactly what I was looking for and they seemed to be ahead of the market trends, sourcing a statement light fixture for me that was not yet on the market. To this day, everyone that comes to visit comments on how much they love the design. I am so happy with the work that LUX did for me, I pass along their name constantly to friends and family, and I am happy to put their name on my project.

We recently hired Lux design to help us renovate and furnish our new home. When we moved in, the albeit modern and fairly new home was beautiful, but it felt like it needed a few additional touches like closet organizers and a built in office area to make it fully functional for us. LUX Design helped our family fully renovate our new home. We initially fell in love with the homes location in the west end and felt that it had great bones but was in need of a complete do-over. Our designer Renee took charge and led us through the daunting process of renovating 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. A few weeks after meeting Renee at our home for the consultation we were invited into the office and were presented a design book customized for our home. It included sketches, furniture selections, plans and finishes. We loved all of the finishes and fixtures that were chosen and the new design took our house from 90s blah to modern fabulous! LUX handled project management for us and monitored the workers on site each week. I loved not having to babysit anyone! We ran into some delays in the project due to things hidden inside the walls (old electrical mostly) but LUX took charge and handled the issues that came up professionally and kept us in the loop the whole time. Our home ended up in a magazine too! We would work with Lux Design again and would refer them to anyone looking for a great design firm.

Lux Design in Toronto is the top of the home renovation business. Home renovation and design in Toronto are not for the inexperienced, nor are these undertaking inexpensive by any means. Lux charges top dollar for their services, but in this case you truly get what you pay for. The money I invested in the services and workmanship I received from Lux made me a 100% profit when I sold the condo following the work performed by Lux Design. The project was finished on time and any problems that occured, as they will in any renovation project were dealt with quickly, efficiently and fairly by the company. Top marks for both my designer, Marcella, and Nazneen at the Toronto office for their help and support throughout the project.

All the staff are very professional and I felt very comfortable working with my designer and their team. They listened to what I wanted and made sure to be available if I had new ideas and they always updated me on the progress of the project. My favourite thing about this company is definitely their distinct modern style. It feels very current & trendy and I enjoy coming home every day to spend time with all my new beautiful furniture. They also offer a great (affordable!) package for new condo home owners. Condos are very hard to design for since they are small but LUX Design used my space to the fullest in ways I never thought was possible. I'm definitely looking forward to working with them again.

I hired LUX to help me design my new condo downtown. I was downsizing from a house and quite confused about how to use the smaller space without feeling cramped and cluttered. LUX suggested their condo quickie package, which is their all in one design package that seemed perfect for what I needed. I got a floor plan, furniture options and my designer picked art and accents for me and I LOVED the look of the design. I couldn’t believe how spacious my condo felt after everything was delivered. I loved that I didn’t have to worry about anything – it was all handled for me including deliveries and my designer handled it all from beginning to end. LUX worked with my picky decor preferences and hit the nail on the head with what I was looking for. All was in budget and the timeline was relatively short. I would recommend LUX to all of my friends and hope to work with them again sometime in the future. Highly recommend LUX Design!

I previously hired Lux Design to furnish my condo rental as part of their ‘condo quickie’ offer. The experience was rather horrible and I felt a review was necessary to warn others that might be considering this. Motivated by their glowing online reviews, I agree to their (in retrospect exorbitant) 2K “designer fee” in addition to prepaying 20K that would be used to purchase furniture from their “network of suppliers” within the city. Keep in mind this is for a 675 sf condo with bedroom already furnished. I’m not sure if these were standard charges for their “condo quickie” or a case of “pricing the client” after estimating my annual income. In any case, after foolishly paying the full amount they requested, I quickly became dismayed with the choice of furniture I was asked to select from photos. For any particular piece, there were 2 choices, both rather uninspiring. I nervously did my best with their limited choices, and these were eventually all delivered the same day. I was nothing less than aghast walking into my apartment that day finding pieces that did not even fit properly and not one item worthy of the price at which they were sold. I shared my displeasure with the company, and the next month or two was spent exchanging one item for another. They tried their best to please but inexplicably were incapable of showing me a single piece of furniture demonstrating quality despite their “network of suppliers” they had promised. Like the scene in the Wizard of Oz, everything became clear once they presumably broke protocol and let me in on the “secret sauce”, allowing me to visit a showroom in Scarborough called Sunpan which was truly the only source of furniture for this project and likely all their others…made in China/Asia pieces, some of which I later found being sold on Amazon for a fraction of the price. The entire process was completely disingenuous. There was no “interior design” taking place. Simply a cookie cutter one size fit all approach for all customers maximizing their profit by using a supplier they have a relationship with. Few pieces are still with me, as many I preferred to donate rather have them in my sight. If inspiring high quality furniture is what you are after, they cant help. If the furniture they offer is what you are after, save time and money and go to IKEA. In summary, think twice before becoming another sucker.

I hired Lux Designs and Negar on the "Condo Quickie" package to furnish my newly purchased condo from scratch. I was incredibly impressed by Negar from start to finish! She did an awesome job of taking my vague suggestions about what kind of style I wanted and making this into a complete, real design. She thought of every detail, from furniture to floor coverings, light fixtures, wall decorations and artwork, and all the extras. I was super pleased with the result. More than that, she has a fantastic work ethic -- I was a very fussy client and she took all of my suggestions, redoing parts of the design and finding new pieces as needed. She was available all day and late into the evening via text to discuss parts of the design. Also, when there were inevitably some small problems with some of the furniture ordering and delivery, she fixed everything personally. For example, when the last piece I ordered, a painting, was not delivered in time for my housewarming party, she went so far as to loan me a painting so I wouldn't have an empty wall for the party! All in all I was very happy with Negar's work and would highly recommend her to anyone.

Lux helped me with a project in my Victorian house. The design suggestions perfectly tied into the rest of the house, which underwent a major renovation when I first moved in. I liked their ability to build on the look that I initially created. But most importantly - and I can't stress this enough - they were accurate on price. We've all had exposure to people who want the job and are willing to tell you they can do it for your budget, when that may not be the case. Lux was totally up front and honest about what was involved and how much it would cost. Understanding the limitations of my budget helped me make the right decisions on this project. Lux explained the real costs so that I could make my budget work.

I thought everything was done in a timely manner, and in the proper order, with superior customer service coming from my designer (Paula), to the Accounting Manager (Barb), to the Operations Manager (Christine). I loved the design my designer created for me and all the furniture pieces she chose for my condo. She really brought every space together in a way I couldn’t do by myself. I also thought the whole process was rather smooth and stress-free, I was expecting the worst, but it never came to that at all. All the deliveries were made as scheduled, my designer’s people always showed up when she said they would. I also thought my designer’s delivery and installation people had superb technique, and they were so polite and professional. When the family from Gavinchi installed drapes for me, they were so delicate in their work. While Wai was installing wallpaper for me, he noticed one batch of wallpaper was slightly different colour, so he got a new roll for me to match the original colour. When I scuffed up the wall paint, my designer asked Wai to fix it and he said no problem. When Val delivered all my furniture, everything was delivered and assembled without incident, and he even kindly showed me how to open and close my new sofa bed properly. Some processes did take a bit longer than expected (delivery of a few pieces of furniture), but that’s totally understandable as personal circumstances popped up (on both our parts - me and my designer, e.g., vacations, having to go out of the country), and other uncontrollable circumstances (e.g., items not in stock). But what I appreciate is the communication, understanding and expert decision-making skills I received from my designer. The whole thing was not cheap, but I will always pay for high quality service and products, and expert judgment for design and project management. I believe I got this from my designer and Lux. My designer was Paula, she is top-notch, she really knows what she is doing, and I think she is just excellent.

After hiring LUX to design my husbands restaurant patio in Mississauga, we decided to enlist LUX for our new town home. We are both working professionals with an appreciation for style but are too busy to pull a design together so we decided to place all of our trust in LUX. We hired them to furnish our new town home top-to-bottom, and we are SO happy with the results! We had some idea of what we were looking for but we would never be able to pull together like our interior designer did. We asked for a mix of brass accents and some glitz as well and we love all the pieces we got – even watching it all come together was a treat. All we had to do was sit back and watch as the design and delivery team brought pieces to our home, assemble and arrange them!! I would definitely recommend their services.

We are long time clients of Isabelle, who is the Principal of Lux Design, and one of the most talented designers in the city. Isabelle designed our entire home and demonstrated a level of care that made us feel like she treated our home as her own. Her dedication to our project was evident on the very first day we began our collaborative sessions to brainstorm different styles for our home. She came prepared with an incredible collage of pictures to give us an idea of different looks that we could achieve. She spent a lot of time trying to understand who we were as people and sought to solicit our opinion so that she could truly design a house that fit our family, our lifestyle, and our own tastes. No detail was too small for Isabelle. Isabelle began with creating a new floor plan that maximized our space and increased its functionality. She was always respectful of our goals and found creative solutions where practicality, utility, and design came together. The process of selecting flooring, paint colours, furniture, lighting, art, and accessories can be a daunting task for any individual, but Isabelle made this seem simple and effortless. She created an interior design book where multiple ‘looks’ were selected for each room so that we could chose one that we felt was the best fit and even gave us the ability to mix and match certain elements together. With any project this large, there are going to be minor challenges that come up, which most people accept. What is most important is the manner in which these challenges are resolved. Isabelle’s actions and words have shown us time and time again that she is a champion for accountability. Regardless of what came up, whether it related to inventory that arrived damaged, or the need to modify an element of the design during construction, Isabelle dealt with everything professionally and ensured that we were completely satisfied. We also had an opportunity to work closely with Nazneen, who is the Director of Operations at Lux Design. She was always available to speak with and clearly had an eye for detail as each of the invoices we received were all accurate; not an easy task considering all of the moving pieces. Overall Isabelle’s design really pushed the boundaries whenever possible and as a result, our home is absolutely stunning!! She is an extremely talented designer and exudes passion for her work. We are so happy with the design of our home and could not have done it without Isabelle and Lux Design!

The LUX design team did a fantastic job transforming our townhome! I recently moved into a townhome in Trinity Bellwoods region with a challenging layout and so decided to enlist a design firm to help make it my home. After doing a significant amount of research and asking around I quickly made the decision to go with LUX Design. The process started by having an initial consulation by our assigned designer Dorota – she was amazing! I immediately connected with her, her ideas and got excited about what her and the team could do for us. After the consultation I was invited to the LUX office for a design presentation. Our designer and the LUX team put together a beautiful concept package that checked off everything I had hoped to achieve in our space so I gave them the keys and the green light to make it happen. My project included a feature built-in media unit, wallpaper, art and lighting installed and the furniture. Even when there were a few stumbling blocks such as a side table that came in damaged, LUX exchanged it with no questions asked and solved any other issues that came up. Throughout the process I felt at ease that things were being taken care of so that I could focus on my work as well as travel. My designer and the support team including Isabelle, Nazneen and Billy were all fun to work with, organized and made it an exciting process! I have already referred them to our friends who have purchased a 1930’s home in Etobicoke. Highly recommended!!

To my good fortune, Negar Aghebati, a very talented, helpful, patient, artistic and knowledgeable young designer was assigned to me. After a short presentation and a personal visit to my condo she came up a scaled down artistic detailed drawing of a new layout for my furniture and accessories showing where everything that I previously owned would fit and several new design ideas that would ensure the very classy and high end look I wished to achieve within my prediscussed budget. She sourced all the furniture, lighting, wallpapers, paint colours and accessories and always made herself available for questions and problem solving. In short, Negar went far beyond the call of duty for me, came in on time and on budget and made me the very proud owner of a now enviably exquisitely designed, but practical, functional and very comfy condo! In truth I have never had such a rewarding experience working with any other professional in any field as I have enjoyed working with Negar...my designer extraordinaire. I was thinking about redecorating my entire condo but as a busy working professional, I was not able to spend the time needed to re-design and furnish the unit. I was looking for an interior design company for a long time till I found Lux Design through Google , after reading their reviews I called them and noticed Their “Condo Quickie” package offers everything that I was looking for in the space including paint colours, furniture selection, lighting and accessories throughout. My Designer Ashley developed a design that was personalized and very functional. The process was easy and the designers were able to work around my busy schedule,My designer was wonderful to work with, as she listened to my needs and came up with great ideas to update my space. The overall design experience was great, and I love the new look and feel of my condo. Ashley's design selection of the furnishings and artwork really added energy to my space! I am happy that I chose LUX for my project and thank you Ashley!

Negar helped us make our condo absolutely perfect. Because of the supply chain issues due to the pandemic, we were worried when we moved in we would have no furniture. From the day we hired Lux, it took them 3 weeks to have our entire condo furnished and accessorized. Our place truly feels like a home and when issues arose Negar dealt with them immediately and our moving process was painless. 5/5 stars and highly recommend!

My husband and I needed the service of a designer to furnish our condo. As we downsized from our house, we needed to buy new furniture that was suitable for a condo rather than a house. We chose Lux Design as they received many positive Homestar reviews, were featured in trade magazines and Nazneen, the affable office manager, indicated that they were willing to meet our tight timeline. Negar Aghebati was assigned to us as our designer. It was totally a 10/10 experience. Efficient : Negar gets things done. Period. I needed something, she would find the items for me quickly. Communication: Wow. Negar deserves bonus point in this area. However I communicated with her by email, phone calls, text, or Whatsapp, she responded to me quickly. Sometimes we would be talking past 11pm to work out ideas. Professionalism: Negar is very dedicated to her work that it shows. She showed up on time. Several times she would just pop by if she was in the area in order to work out any issues . She was also calm and patient. Service: Every project have things do go wrong and the hallmark of truly good service is how you fix the problems when they occur. I received one dining chair that was defective. Negar already ordered a replacement before I asked her to. Result :The place looks great. My husband and I love it. We couldn't have done this without Negar. Highly recommended.
