Reisa and the Beyond Beige team are quite simply amazing. We bought a smaller house which had a great view and nothing much else and I spent a few months regretting that choice while our house was up for sale. My husband felt the view was most important and I was not so sure. We spent a good deal of time looking for the right person to help us make it home, during which I regretted the purchase at times, in spite of the great ocean view. I was pretty sure we had found her when we had our initial consultation, even though we had almost settled on another designer. The house needed work and her vision was incredible, as was the support of her team, and I started to believe we had made a good choice, but I still had difficulties throughout the process. Reisa is perpetually kind and friendly, yet so professional, and she had the ability to push us (non talented decorators) in the right direction, gently. She picked the exact right things to change, which I can see after living here for almost two years. Her vision is incredibly good, which is why she has won so many awards for her design. But, I did not expect her to become a friend. In the midst of the renovation, we were sent the wrong tiles (among many other issues which were handled well) - and it was so stressful, but she came here and very quickly picked out even better ones that were newly available, since we would have had to wait weeks for replacements. And now the master bath is incredible and even better than it would have been. It was all done in calm while I was totally stressing out since we had to be out of our house at a certain point. Reisa, in combination with her incredible and very professional staff, (Jacqueline and Sara are the ones I dealt with) made a difficult transition much more palatable. I was a little unhinged throughout the process, but we were listened to and helped along and supported through a difficult process, and I'm sure would not have been near as happy with our much smaller home had these experts not been in charge. Downsizing from a place you've lived a long time is very difficult; without Reisa and Sara and Jacqueline, I would have had a much more tough time of it. My husband, who mostly dislikes designers, said 'recently when I asked him, that he thought highly of her and would use her again in a heartbeat. High praise coming from him. Last, I'd like to mention that a very discerning friend recently told me she'd love to spend more time here, she finds the space so calming. In the midst of our reno, Reisa also did work on my daughter's condo (done mostly by Sara, who is also wonderful) and she is so much happier there now. I would say that the cost involved was very worth it - you get what you pay for. If we ever questioned anything or were unhappy with a few furniture choices, she had already either noticed herself and mentioned that she would replace, or in the case of a couple things that were not holding up well, replaced at her cost. This was minimal, but very important to us that: she stands behind her choices and her work. It was also important to us that with her furniture retail shop, she could indicate to us the size and scale of things ---it can be difficult or order sight unseen. We just couldn't be happier.
