We got wind of Charlene and her design firm through a mutual realtor friend for our main floor renovation (flooring, door/window headers, casing & baseboards, counters, kitchen sink and faucet, window treatments, painting and backsplash) in April 2021. What a world of difference it made having the ladies bring in life-sized samples of the flooring, countertops, backsplash tile, blinds and paint swatches! It made decision-making (along with Charlene's guidance and expertise) a breeze when we could physically envision and feel the proposed products right in our own space. Both Charlene and Tana were extremely professional, pleasant and responsive when we ran into occasional setbacks (i.e. First choice of lighting was discontinued, so Charlene had to recommend and then order something else that was suitable; we also initially didn't intend for the doors to be painted, but after seeing the initial coat of paint on the walls we made a last minute decision to have the doors done as well with the painter's recommendation so they didn't look so yellow. Tana was very accommodating in making that happen - we're glad we did as they look so much better!). In the end all the reno work was actually done ahead of the expected timeline, thanks to Tana's seamless scheduling finesse. She came several times onsite to personally introduce the contractors to us, check on the progress and resolve any issues. We were given plenty of notice when it came to all the scheduling so we could move all our furniture, appliances and anything else that needed to be cleared out of the way. Arrangements were made for the delivery and pickup of the garbage bin in our driveway for the duration of renos, which made things very convenient. Tana also offered to arrange a storage pod for our stuff, but we didn't need one. Overall we are very pleased with the design choices, quality of the work and of course, the end result! We would definitely recommend Lush Interiors to anyone looking to refresh their living spaces - especially post pandemic. Thanks so much!

I hired Charlene specifically as the general contractor/ interior designer for the custom basement development of my 7 year old home. The space was a raw unfinished typical basement - no framing, cement walls, exposed high ceiling, beams, wires and air ducts . The main driver was that I did not want it to have the look and feel of a basement . It had to be an extension of the main and upper living areas in our home. She created a design that incorporated everything on my wish list . A guest bedroom and bathroom that guests would feel like they were at a boutique hotel in New York or South Beach. Open concept media room, work out room/gym dedicated space, functional home office, kids homework area, kitchen and bar area . Lots of built in storage, closets & cupboards that would maximize living space / hide storage & clutter. The workout room/gym with professional gym quality flooring combined with incredible built in mirrored closets and storage throughout was just one of many examples that took this project far beyond my expectations ! All the finishings including dark hardwood, perfectly selected paint colours, custom white limestone fireplace w/built in flat screen, high quality light and plumbing fixtures and custom furniture were all exceptional but really popped when Charlene staged/finished the space with keeper artwork , area rugs and accessories. Charlene has incredible taste and a keen eye that is worth every dime spent on her professional services !! Charlene took a blank space and turned into a dream living area we will all enjoy and build memories as a family. Our basement is right out of House & Home !! The project was completed on time and on budget which was just icing on the cake. All of her team was great to work with. I would recommend Lush Interiors & Charlene for any project and would work with her again !!!!

I was delighted with the design work done by Charlene Threatful and her team at Lush on my new home - both the process and the result!. Earlier this year I moved into a new residence in the Currie area, about twice the size of my previous home and was confronted with bare, stark white walls, bare windows, etc. The Lush team handled virtually the complete interior design and finishing job, from floor plans through wall and window treatments, electrical fixtures, fabrics, furniture, and lighting. to accessories and final styling. . They smoothly integrated much of my existing furniture and art with imaginative new suggestions. They handled various technical challenges smoothly and professionally, including the design and installation of a large custom woodwork library wall. Friends and family who have seen the final result of their efforts have consistently remarked how completely they have conveyed and reflected my personal tastes, style and interests in a warm, inviting design.
