I came to NYU Langome Emergency Care Unit on Saturday evening and was seen promptly, taken for tests, brought to observation overnight and then admitted until Tuesday morning. I found the nurses and staff, with few exceptions, to be courteous, professional, efficient and responsive. One must remember that a hospital is not a restaurant where your every whim is seen to immediately, but a busy, busy operation with others whose needs may be more critical than your own. My condition, diagnoses, medications, tests and results were all explained clearly and all injections and procedures handled with as little discomfort as possible. Of course there are some staff more attentive, more cordial than others, but I never felt neglected or disrespected. If you want the best care available, be a better patient; you are the center of your universe, but not of everyone else's.

Terrible it’s been 5 hours and I still haven’t been seen ! This is ridiculous and they have crackheads walking around here and sleeping in the waiting room when it’s packed already. Security seemed like amateurs I will never come back here! Don’t waste your time coming here still haven’t gotten seen !!!! Unbelievable

My daughter had a 3:30 appointment for a sonogram and was told to drink two bottles of water before getting there. We got there about 3:35 because the entrance we were directed to was closed and we had to walk around the entire building. By this time she really had to use the bathroom. After waiting for 16 mins I told the receptionist that she really needed to use the bathroom. She called the technician she said she would be there in 6 minutes. At 4pm we were still waiting, my daughter almost peed herself. I took her to the bathroom She had to drink more water and even then the technician didn't show up. She didn't come until almost 5pm. How is someone supposed to hold their pee for so long? Only one technician works here he? The service was horrible...the woman who finally showed up had no sense of urgency either. I would never go back here!

Corinne Cohen

The doctor I saw at the ER dismissed my complaints and did not help me find the cause, or even advise me on how to get help elsewhere. The wait time each step of the way at the ER was very long both times I've been here.

Cheyenne Rosado

Grossly understaffed. Gave me a medication I didn’t need, waited HOURS for medication to begin with, everything felt really disorganized. Patients were walking around ER without a mask, and nurses did nothing about it.

Ian Rubenstein

This hospital is so poorly understaffed it borders on negligence in that they are all well aware of their resource constraints but continue to take patients. There is zero accountability among staff and its as if they dont even know each other let alone communicate patient care plans (to colleagues or patients). If an issue arises so serious that it needs to be escalated the most common response is not “I understand your concern and will try to figure out how to mitigate these issues,” but rather “oh well I wasn’t there.”

I had a very bad experience when this hospital was Lutheran, was scared to go back. However I loved my doctor and decided to give it a shot. It was amazing! Everything was clean, staff on top of everything and most were kind and caring. Very high tech, everything streamlined in the app. Not sure about the emergency room or the surrounding neighborhood (very run down and dirty), but the hospital and the doctors were amazing!!

these people are a set of con artists since October I have been trying to get refund on a procedure that wasn't done and every time I call they telling me to wait 2 more weeks or they would forward it to high ups to get me my refund every single time i call its something else. Its like their hoping that I forget or drag it on where I can't do nothing about it. I have never heard of a refund taking 3 months now I have to dispute the charge with my bank and I got all the messages and call. Never again

I have to be very honest my wife and I had the worst experiences with this hospital since they merged. They overdose my wife at least twice and tried to blame me because I was the only person that went to visit everyday and then never did an investigation that they said they would do. After that they moved her around to a nursing home in queens where her arm got infected. Then she had to go back for the same problem and now they said that not one person can visit family or friends for the duration of her stay, so when she heard that as security was removing the family my wife had a stroke. Now she's doing great at new York Presbyterian, and the care and concern is genuine there. But not at the New Lutheran it's all about the money. Rich or poor homeless people we are all humans and should be treated the same. I wish everyone the best

Rick W.

Do humans actually work in those buildings?? I’ve called so many times only to speak to automated bots 95% of the time and leave unanswered voicemails. Get it together “essential workers” your poor management makes the rest of us medical workers look bad.

This hospital is HORRIBLE the receptionists in the emergency room are rude, unprofessional and careless. These people in the emergency room needs to be retrain on how to talk and act more professional to people in general. The receptionists act lazy and looks lazy/unprofessional, they acted it like they’re doing you a favor. The doctors and nurses are kind, many years ago this hospital used to be my hospital, so much has change.

Best network rated hospital Based on a year of personal experience going back and forth from different hospitals (mt Sinai, Presbyterian, NYU). In the beginning I really believed the official ratings of best hospital networks in NYC (#1 Presbyterian, #2 mt Sinai, #3 NYU), but after having a loved one undergo internal bleeding recovery for more than a year and staying in all three network hospitals, our conclusion is #1 is NYU, #2 is mt Sinai and #3 is Presbyterian hospital. We came across many apathetic surgeons and doctors in Mt Sinai and Presbyterian hospital, medical professionals who entirely threw their doctors oath out the window and entirely gave up on my loved ones complicated case. It seems the physicians at those two networks either cared about money too much or their reputation (as the case would be very difficult to follow and would require dedicated doctors), silently scrubbing the patient under the carpet even to the point of denying surgical wound checkup followup appointments! After being denied followup appointments by mt Sinai’s head of surgery Dr. Devino and given up by Presbyterian’s Queens surgeon, Dr. Chun, we kept looking for dedicated doctors and surgeons who would take her case and help her as any human being should, we found NYU’s network doctors who were interested in her case and are currently helping her with wound care, surgery, and even pain management. Where Mt Sinai and Presbyterian fully gave up and abandoned a very ill patient, The NYU medical professionals came to treat her, Gi dr.Serouya and Surgeon, dr.Sinha. As far as for the hospital in the location, the wait times are very fast and they process the patient twice as fast as Presbyterian, Cornell. The nurses are always very helpful and every visit is a benefit, not a rejection or a waste of time as the other two hospitals I mentioned. Keep up the good work.

They are taking care of patients so good. They are answering all your questions. Doctors, nurses, security was great. But I wish they would put more comfortable couch in waiting room for ICU department. Cafeteria is really good, food is so good. Thank you. Best hospital.

Tanya J

I had a good not great ER experience, they were always attentive to my needs. Only thing I didn’t like was sharing my room with another ill patient. But overall it’s the best I’ve been to in Brooklyn so far. They also give you a neat purple bag to take home which is nice

Eduart S.

The hospital is good and most of the workers are great. There might be one or two that are lazy which make the place look bad. But, Most are amazing, very helpful, Dr. Raymond B. Walsh is one of the best surgeon. I have met some amazing nurses.

I came to the hospital after breaking my wrist. It took a bit of time before someone brought me in to be reviewed by a doctor. Once in with the doctor they re-set my hand to my wrist and gave me something for the pain. My experience was beginning to get better until they sent some inexperienced doctor to come over and review my hand. Without my consent he arranged for me to go up to see the surgeon and have him work on my wrist. He said it was my best option so that I could attain at least 75% function of my wrist/hand. I refused and he was clearly agitated that I wanted to seek a second opinion. I left the hospital with pain killers arranged for a consultation from a third party specialist and he provided a clear set of options. None of which included surgery. My wrist and hand are now stronger than ever without the need of "emergency" surgery.

All I can say is that I'm just glad to be out of there after my delivery. Some staff was okay. And some would just be very disrespectful. And don't think they really cared about taking care of a baby, their cell phones were more important and receiving phone calls. Didn't feel like a hospital it felt like a training room.

THIS PLACE DESERVES TO BE SHUT DOWN. Staff didn't want to give me a wheelchair to bring my mother to the er. She collapsed and I had to scream for the security to page doctors. The doctors performed cpr on her while she was still conscious and less than 10 minutes later she was dead. If you intend to live DONT GO THERE.

The the front desk at the emergency room move with no urgency whatsoever and when you come there they don’t acknowledge you. you meaning me in my experience. I was taken to a room with a dirty exam bed and it took them 30 mins to change the …

I had the worst experience at NYU langone hospital. I took my son to the emergency room because he was in a vegetative state of mind. Despite that they misdiagnosed my son, which I'm sure does happen--the worst part about the visit was an altercation with a security officer by the name of Morales. The security officer insisted that I leave the emergency room bed due to covid concerns, despite my pleas that my son was not able to communicate because of his depressive state. The officer did not have any sense of empathy and removed me from the room. When I came back my son was crying hysterically. A half hour later, I saw three police officers joking and laughing with a formal officer who, apparently , had a minor injury and was stationed just outside of where my sons bed was. Where were the covid concerns at that point? I suspect white privileged officers took precedence over covid concerns. If you care about your family members, nyu langione is not the place to seek medical attention.

Nurses did a good job taking care of me after my gallbladder removal and surgery! Dr. Kumar is the best as well. Highly recommend.

Fair Service. My mother had surgery done and then was basically the guinea pig from time to time when she had blood work done. Certain personnel did not know how to get a vein so use your imagination. Certain RNs were wonderful others were nowhere to be found. The Docs that operated on her did their rounds and were attentive. The maintenance crew were either decent or nowhere to be found either. Luckily my dad and I were picking up after everyone. Overall mixed review but its never a good idea to stay at a hospital longer than a week. With that being said Im not satisfied with the work ethic of certain RNs, technicians or maintenance. I was born in Lutheran but I prefer to die in the street.

My grandpa went to the ER due to high degree fever and abnormal pains around the abdomen. The nurse didn’t check grandpa’s room for more than 1 hours. Some of the ER nurses were chatting instead of taking care of patient. The security person shows no respect to visitors because they just want to kick people’s ass out of ER when visitors were trying to watch after their family. A few days ago, my grandma went to the Long-island hospital, which it was SO MUCH better, professional and respectful to the patients and visitors.

I gave birth to my son at NYU Langone in August 2021. I had a great experience mainly because of my delivery nurse Lormina. She was amazing!!! Professional and kind, she was attentive to all my needs. She allowed me to stand during labor, brought me a fitball to balance on and taught me breathing. Not like I listened to her the whole time, but she tried her best. She made me feel confident and calm, as I gave birth to an amazing baby boy. He was big, healthy and beautiful. I also noted some positive changes on the mother and baby unit, from my last delivery experience in 2016. This time, all the healthcare members were encouraged to breastfeed, there was no formula advertising and no commercial product for it. The lactating specialist came by, she chatted with me nicely and helped to get a better latch for the baby. I have to say, it was pretty relaxing to stay at the mother and baby unit. The food was not bad at all for a hospital, including choices you can select from. I would have stayed an extra day or two, if it was free. It felt like a nice place to recover. A peaceful place away from the chaos of the world. I have good memories of NYU Lutheran. There is not much more I can expect from a modern city hospital, really. Thanks for all the nurses, nurse assistance and to Lormina specifically.

Terrible hospital, they made me wait 5 hours after the Anastasia had wore out but kept giving me strong pain medication before helping me to walk. The staff there seems so busy that they forget or maybe doesn’t read the patients charts that they are supposed read before sending me home. I had TLIF L4l5 spine surgery. When I decided to have the surgery they said I will be in the hospital for 2-3 days. In the recovery room they say that the doctor said for me to go home the same days. After being in terrible pain ,and with the taught that I would be walking pain free. I was too dizzy to even stand. Then the nurse says that I have to go home and if anything happens I should come back to the ER. I’m still understand Anastasia and shaking with confusion and disbelieve of what was happening in the recovery room finally after complaining the doctor comes and change my medication to non drowsy pain meds. That’s when I was able to walk but I still decided to stay one night and go home in the morning. When I got to the room 4 hours after the nurse there said I cannot get the same medication so she give me another kind of medication which did not work. So all night I was in excruciating pain and could not sleep till morning. I hadn't ate anything all day and I’m being feed all kinds of medication on an empty stomach. So with the pain being 10 I had to fight for something to change. Finally a new medication and it’s working I can go to the bathroom and feel some relief. The nurses there act like the patient are a problem and that it is a bother for them if a patient call too many times. When morning come they offer me no breakfast and the same for lunch. Very poor treatment and sadly it is a bad experience for me. I wrote this review to make known that this is not a third world country and a hospital that carries the name NYU should be better than that. Very disappointed and will never go back or recommend anyone there ????????

My grandmother was treated by the GYN team (attending Dr. Hacker) and got exceptional care. They were so dedicated and visited several times a day as well as came promptly whenever there was any question or concern. While the hospital itself could use some infrastructure improvements, we generally had a very positive experience.

Orlando O

Great hospital the staff is super professional and attentive. They took care of my dad immediately upon entering emergency room. Hospital staff are super heroes ????

Danielle Lafleur

I had foot surgery at NYU Brooklyn and was very impressed with the caliber of medical professionals and care I was given. It’s not the slickest newest facility but honestly it’s the people, passion and skills that really count and NYU delivered. The diversity in the team that both prepped and facilitated the surgery was really inspiring. They were a very strong communicative team that seemed to have tremendous amount of respect for each other and me as the patient. I’d definitely go back (but hope I don’t have to).

Lost Wonderer

#2 hospital in NY according to the prestigious USA News Rankings. This is the hospital you need to visit when you are ill. Quality care, compassionate staff, abundance of resources, NYU Langone has it all. You will be satisfied, plan on working here.

Michael Moses

Staff was nice, but lots of stars removed for the really rundown and antiquated in-patient rooms (4th floor at least). Very used beds, scratched up walls and flooring, and shared occupancy in a room no bigger than a standard NYC bedroom. If you have to stay in the NYU system, don't make this mistake and head to Tisch in Manhattan instead.

Lindsey Dixon

Pretty great experience for NYC ER's. Seen and processed very quickly (on a Thursday early morning), everyone was kind and they ran the tests I needed quickly. The doctors were only there for two minutes each, as usual, but were nice, and the nurses and techs were great. Was in my own room within 15-20 minutes of checking in.

about to find out... right now

This is the worst hospital I've ever been, the moment you walk in... you feel like you walked into a project building, some of the nurses are okay, but the other half are just lazy. I had one of the nurses rip the IV right out of my arm, which cause me to bleed out of control for a minute, and she pretended as if it was normal, and that was just my arm, from an IV. the doctors are very dismissive, and it didn't look like anything was going to be accomplished at least not today. i felt like I had a better chance in my house.

Marjorie Aleman

This hospital has horrible service. You call the nurse no body shows up after an hour or more of waiting, the e.r room desperately wanting to send me to another dpto just because I'm pregnant but I didn't come in to the e.r due to any issues with my pregnancy, I came here for uncontrol asthma, the nurse came to check my vital signs but leaves the room as soon as putting the cuff on my arm and didn't come back for the past half hour already. The Dr came in to ask me why I don't want to go to LnD and then explains my options and ran out of the room, meanwhile I'm sitting here in a stretcher at the e.r gasping for air and wondering what's gonna happen to me and where am I supposed to turn for help to

Carissa C

Very poor emergency experience. The nurse and the doctors simply ignore you. If your skin has color. My child kept crying in the emergency room because he was sick. I waited for 4 hours in the emergency room and no one came to help us. The doctors are impatient and they will bark at you. Very unprofessional. Very irresponsible to the patient. The security guards are very rude. Very rude, they are very disrespectful to the patient. Garbage hospital! ! Will not come to this hospital again, I will return to maimonides hospital

Ulugbek Ganiev

Very nice doctors and nurses. God bless.

My two kids were delivered here. First one was 2016 spring. The hospital wasn’t under new management yet. The experience was fine. I got a private room after labor for about $200 per night. I had good rest. Second one was delivered two months ago. I have to say this hospital has gone bad after NYU took it. The labor room has two surgery lights. One of them was broken. So my doctor has to move my bed around to adjust the light during labor. And private room price is crazy now. $600 for the exact same room. I got a shared room this time. But for a two nights stay I had my next bed neighbor changed for 4 times. I don’t know what happened to them but I was having a terrible rest during the stay. They even forgot to create a SSN for my newborn so I have to go to the office to create a file by myself. Really this hospital is doing nothing well but charge a lot!

Leyla coolio

I have to agree with the rest of the negative reviews about their emergency room.I don’t even know where to start from... from the doctors that don’t even spend a minute with you, to the nurses that are too busy joking around amongst themselves. Let’s just say I won’t be going back there.

Great care at NYU Langone in Brooklyn. My dad went to the ER for a stroke and they took him in right away. The neurologist who examined him took great care of him (unfortunately, I forgot his name). I would also want to give a special shoutout to Evelyn in the ER department, Sally, Delmy, Grace, and Girlie on the 3rd floor for their amazing care. They also advocated for me and my family and I can not thank them enough! Sally and Delmy not only took care of my dad but they took care of me as well to ensure that I was okay. I hope they get recognized.

Yan Wu

My nurse in recovery, whose name I unfortunately can't recall right now, was amazing and she made sure that someone was looking after me when she had to go on break; but just listening to the whole staff in recovery, they were so helpful with each other. Everyone here worked so well as a team that I never languished for attention. Admins, nurses, orderlies, doctors, every one I encountered just had great attitudes and were very helpful and made my situation feel not as terrible.

Cherry Wine

I went to this hospital. Got sick on my way to work. EMS took me to there. I received an I.V of course they drew blood. After a few hours test was normal. The doctor discharge me. But then decided he wanted chest x-ray. I didn't decide to go see my doctor. I had Pneumonia. That doctor dropped the ball. I wonder if my skin color played a roll in him not ordering test. I came in sweating in the depth of winter.

I am a family member of Donna Earl. I just want to say this hospital from the trauma team on the fourth floor and rehab team on the 3rd team saved my sisters life and continued to fight for her to regain her ability to live a normal life. God bless the Doctors, nurses, therapist and the staff

Mindy Van Vleet

We live in Oregon and my daughter goes to school in Brooklyn. She had to have her appendix removed on October 20 and the care she received was excellent! And even though she is over 18, Dr. Schwed called me once her surgery was over to let me know how everything went. This was greatly appreciated since we were so far way. Outstanding hospital!

Daniel Kim

Had a heart monitor put on and the nurse told us to come back in two days for the doctor to go over the results and the blood work. We come back and give the heart monitor back, but a different nurse says we have to make an appointment to talk to the doctor. Disorganized bunch of staff, not willing to help, and gave us an attitude. Go to a different hospital. Highly not recommended.

Raul Rodriguez

I'm just giving 1 star since every time either my family or myself call to get updates from my mom we just get transferred, rings out then disconnects. We just have to rely on each other for updates.

Leo Galan

ER service is a joke. Mediocre hospital with useless doctors and only 1-2 knowledgeable/helpful doctors. Not nearly enough effort is given to understanding the patients symptoms nor bothering to discover the reason behind it.

Blerinda Allaham

Love the doctor who delivered my baby , but when it comes to hygiene this hospital is the worse. For the delivery everything was spotless and very clean. For the recovery everything was a mess. They didn’t even bother to clean up the garbage can. Bathroom was not cleaned not even once from Thursday to Saturday. I told the nurse twice that the bathroom needed to be cleaned. I texted twice to the number that they have in the bathroom. I got reply that it was going to be taken care of , they came and just sprayed., which didn’t do anything anyway. There is blood stains everywhere; on the door , toilet , floor. The floor probably hasn’t been cleaned in months. If I have to deliver again sorry I will not return. I do not need an infection.

Katherine Balbuca

This hospital is horrible my dad was in the hospital for covid and i was asking the nurse in the icu and she hunged up the phone on me its ridicoulus how a nurse can do that its her job to answer questions and not only that we went to visit him and we saw how the machine of the medicine was beeping warning it was time for the new dose , and she took like 15 minutes to give the medicine. and the nurse also said they have different information about the patient if its the same medicine and the same treatment how do they have differrnt information that means they are not doing their job correctly unbelivable

Gulchekhra Abduvokhidova

Today 01.13.2022 we had appointment at 1pm we came rush but the covid girl reception girl she did talk good to my mother she work slow and her face was angry please NYU Langone Hospital teach your staff to talk nice to customers.

I had a tooth extraction. I was told during my consult that I could get the gas. It was my first extraction and I was extremely nervous the day of the procedure. When we started getting set up they told me they would not give me the gas. This resulted in me shaking and crying uncontrollably during the procedure. It was like my worst nightmare come true. It took 3 people to get the tooth out of my mouth. Pulling and yanking on my face with all their strength. I felt violated. I was only given an antibiotic and ibuprofen for the swelling. Nothing for the severe pain I am enduring in my Jaw. Mind you because my tooth was so hard to remove they had to remove extra bone from my jaw as well. I can barely open my mouth on day two. The bedside manner was poor and when your clients are that scared give them the freaking gas!! Not to mention when I left I had blood all over my cheeks that they didn't clean off. I would not recommend this facility because most oral surgeons would at least give you a small amount of low dose pain killer for the first day or two. Not make their clients suffer through mideval torture. When I called the facility two hours after my extraction about the pain I was in and my traumatic experience I spoke to a woman who was very cold an unsympathetic, like that's just how it is you have to deal with it.

On Saturday October 16 th I went to the emergency room thinking of having acid reflux for the past 2 weeks. After going to an emergency room in Staten Island last week little did I know it was my heart. For the past week I had multiple tests done and everything was showing negative results. After sleepless nights and so much pain I said enough. I went to trauma 1 emergency room at Lutheran center. I am sorry I Cant remember everyone name .Starting with my nurse Melissa and continuing with Dr Whitman and his PA assistant. They were quick and fast to notice my increasing pain which lead me to a heart attack. Quickly more nurses and Doctors rushed to my side and quickly determined that I Was having a heart attack..I was sent quickly to the intensive side of the er and was brought immediately to a cardiovascular team awaiting for me. With the quick decision of Dr Atul Sharma and his glorious team the made a decision that lead me to putting a stent. Words can not describe how blessed and thankful I am to have met such a kind, smart, professional Doctor I ever met. All the nurses and Doctors that participated played a role in healing me. I will never forget what you all have done for me. I am so honored and grateful to also meet such an amazing cardiologist Dr. Sharma and will continue this relationship with him being he made me feel completely safe in his hands. Thank you so much to all of the employees and staff at Lutheran medical center. You all deserve all the rewards possibly that there is……

I thought BROOKLYN hospital was the worst hospital in Brooklyn, but nope, NYU LAGONE BROOKLYN came along and it takes the cake! They’ll lay you in the emergency room beds for 7+ hours, get aggravated when you ask for assistance/answer questions, and you barely interact with the doctors on your case. Then they’ll get you a room to stay overnight, only for it to have filthy bathrooms and for your nurses to pop in....but again, no answers to any questions. THEN it’ll take them 4 hours to discharge you because they’re doing rounds, but discharge time is at 11am but you’re still there at 3pm—so now I guess I understand why we waited 7+ hours for a bed. Edit: we are STILL HERE. Nurse was supposed to take out the IV almost two hours ago. We’re .20 secs from taking it out ourselves. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HOSPITAL.

Samantha Quiles

Least favorite hospital. Not only is the service here HORRIBLE, but the claimed to have put my broken bone back in place - only to later find out that they did not and it was too late. Bone had to be re-broken MONTHS later at another specialst. My father recently stood here for 7 days. The hospital is so dirty! Ever since NYU Langone took over, they made SERIOUS cuts. No one comes around with a mop or a broom. His room was disgusting and was not cleaned once! The shower was moldy - the bathroom was horrible. One star for the fact that my amazing doctor works there. But other then that this is just about as bad as Killer County. Go with your gut - and head to Methodist. Even Coney Island is better then here!

Aryeh Blanshay

Came here when my baby was diagnosed with Covid after a horrible experience at a community hospital (Coney Island). We were seen promptly and taken care of extremely well. We were seen by a pediatrician who was caring, thoughtful, well-spoken, and downright amazing. We felt involved in the care of our daughter and were reassured along the way. Thanks, NYU!

Lillian Accardo

Arrived ED at 2:15 AM inside a “room” more like hallway by 2:30. Finally officially in a room and hour later. It is now 4:15 AM and still waiting to be seen by a doctor. Was told at 3AM that doctor was busy with an emergency. I asked if there is only one doctor and was told yes. Really!!! One doctor to see all these patients in an overcrowded ER!! Unacceptable. NYU you need to step up. All I see around me is patients. At times no employees around. Definitely haven’t seen any doctors walking around ???? ???? Update. It is now 5:30 AM and still no doctor.

First was sent to cobble Hill emergency room and was a great experience. Dr said I was to be admitted for my condition so they transferred me to Lutheran with me and my gf. We get there and the refused to let her up because of vaccination status and her negative test was 5 days old. I'm a first responder and also unvaccinated. They told me even in uniform we are not allowed in the building. The room they put me in was dirty and no one checked me for 30 min. Meanwhile the other person in the room was loud and when I told staff all I wanted to do was rest they did nothing. I checked myself out. Better off going to my home hospital in staten island. True garbage this hospital.

Lana Vesselova

I check in to ER at 2 am on NYE night. Really happy with all of the team at NYU Langone Hospital. Had severe leg pain. They checked me in with in 10 minutes and put me in bed. With in next 15 min doctor, nurse and X-ray specialist we’re with me taking all the tests. So fast, efficient, professional and friendly. Doctor David Schaeffer, Nurse Patrick and all the team behind the scenes, Thank you so much for taking care of me.

Amelia Warren

Expect to wait 30-45 minutes past your appointment time to see your doctor. I've seen a specialist here twice, and both times I had a looong wait. Some oddities: - people who arrive late for their appointment and after you will be seen before you. - check in staff are aggressive and clipped. They demand that you use a biometric palm scanner, and when you ask if it's a requirement they get silent and don't answer. - check in staff state they are unable to follow your physician's instructions. For example, I brought back a test a doctor wanted to see, to the desk he told me to bring it to, on the date he said to bring it. The staff said they had no way of getting the doctor the test results, have no place to store such things, and refused to accept the test results. The specialty department is in desperate need of better management. The short- temper of the check in staff tells me they need more funding, better training, and a rock solid manager to both defend them and set higher expectations.

There was only one pediatric nurse in the ER and she didn’t even know how to draw blood. Traumatized my niece to the fullest and then tried to blame my niece . She stood still and didn’t even move her arm when she tried to take her blood . Blood everywhere . We even asked her if she had to take the torniquete off for the blood to flow and she said she THINKS . Not know . THINKS . That’s supposed to push the blood into the tube . I’ve never had blood draw like that . Went to Maimonides instead .

I’m glad this hospital has become part of NYU Langone. ???? Keep up the great work you do and thank you for all you do! Stay safe.

Hands down the best hospital in Brooklyn for everyone. They treat everyone very well and work hard to take the best care of their patients. I work with developmentally disabled adults and they are the best and most compassionate hospital that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I would recommend them to everyone and I would love to be taken there if I ever became sick. They are just awesome! All of the employees are very kind, from the housekeepers to the pharmacists, to all of the doctors and nurses. I work as a Care Manager, and I appreciate the way that they take care of the people that I support.

Sherif Mostafa

The security at the ER made me very uncomfortable the way he spoke to me while I was waiting patiently on the waiting room... that attitude completely deterred me from want to even use any of the hospitals services

liu jing

My father has emergency rush to this hospital . Try to get MRI Done and get surgery as soon as possible . went to hospital 9am in morning and waiting over 36 hours try to get MRI in this 36hours no drink and eating at all. And then they told my father have to wait another 14hours to get MRI then have surgery. This is ridiculous. This hospital try to starve my father over 60 hours and kill him. Dude . I will kill those who try to kill my father

Jalal Widad

Very fast and efficient ER. They take you in quick and so far are the fastest in NYC to discharge you. The are also pretty comprehensive in testing and the doctors and nurses are kind

Maria R

I unfortunately have had to find myself in the emergency room for numerous reasons regarding my aging parents. Each and every time it’s been the same obnoxious and useless guard who spends most of the time gossiping and chatting with staff members very loudly, taking no consideration of the ill that come in and wait in the waiting area....her loudness and brazen attitude is exactly what’s not needed in that kind of environment. Horrible.

Sara Raouf

I was admitted into ER then to the delivery ward. they treated me well. except one ignorant doctor her name is Fatima . OMG she was a nightmare that stayed with me for 12 hours. she was nervous, arrogant and horrible in treating people. However, everything else was really good. nurses, the doctor and my stay was really good

My baby girl was delivered here 5th Floor and my partner had c-section. I stayed with her for 3 days and it was a pretty good experience. The room was very small (Limited space) where we stayed and there was another couple on the other side. Some nurses made it easy for us checking up on us from time to time, but others not much. Other then that it was not to bad. They have a cafe and the food is not to bad (cash only). I give it a 4 star only because the front lobby to enter is a mess. It's very disorganized and the system they are using is broken, due to Covid-19.My baby mother was being discharged so I quickly go out. I went to my car to get the car seat. I saw a long line to enter , so I asked an employee if I have to make the line. She told me to ask the manager I asked the manager and she said I had to wait the long line. It only took me 2 minutes to get the car seat. I was upset because I was already was there for 3 days and had a bracelet as vistor. I had to wait 30 minutes to get back in. The security in the hospital is unsafe and is a joke. They have unarmed security and they dont have metal detectors or wand visitors. Anyone can easily bring a weapon and they wouldnt know.

Hailey Diaz

This place is HORRIBLE with customer service. They only have one number to make appointments throughout the entire hospital which would work IF THEY EVER ANSWERED. The operating system & reception is terrible, you will be waiting close to an hour before you get an answer, if you have other doctors trying to contact this hospital you will most likely not get an answer. This hospital has gone down in the dumps, everyone got a position and got lazy.

NYU LANGONE SUNSET PARK DENTAL 150 55st. Great staff. Very friendly. All the dentists and dental specialists are so good …

TA GS

The labor and delivery department of NYU Langone Hospital is one of a kind! Beginning with the triage staff all through the mother and baby unit, every nurse is so kind, calm and nice. It looks like they put in a effort in hiring staff that understand a mother’s needs at this time. The place is being renovated, new rooms are nice.

Lindsey Whetstone

I would give zero stars if I could. I have been to a lot of facilities across the country, but this is by far the WORST! My doctor is completely incompetent to the point I had to diagnose myself and then I had to tell him to change the prescription for steroid cream because what he gave me was exactly what caused the problem in the first place and literally EVERY website I read about this skin rash said do NOT use steroid cream. Not to mention, you can't get through to actually talk to anyone. If you need to talk with a nurse or (in my case) need a referral for authorization from your insurance, you have to leave a message to which they never return your call. Maybe because they are so understaffed and overbooked. I had an appointment with a specialist but had to reschedule because they never submitted the request for the insurance! Now I can't get anyone to return my call! As soon as I can get this referral I am finding a new doctor. I would be afraid to take my dog to that place. Literally, the worst experience I have ever had with and doctor/ facility between me and all 3 of my children.

Taylor Higgins

This hospital does not care for patients or their staff. Administration run things rampant- only to focus on numbers and finance rather than patient care. Covid patients are treated like cattle. Patients are constantly being unsafely downgraded to squeeze other patients in due to lack of nursing staff. Constantly short staffed and the staff is exhausted and miserable because of it. STAY AWAY.

Crystal Desilva

I am so dam disappointed in this hospital it still stink lauthern the rooms ridiculous small my fiance is patient here right with a infection and they supposedly recovering covid patient next to him y this happening he have his own situation going on already this man shouldn't be sharing a room with my fiance come on nyu you all suppose be better than lauthern. And the hospital nasty.

Roberta Darconte

I would like the personally thank the staff of the ambulatory dept on the treatment I received today. From the moment I walked in until the moment I was discharged they couldn’t have been more thoughtful, caring, polite, friendly and above all competent. As former HR administrator I know how important it is to give credit when credit is due. Again, my heartfelt thanks.

George Olivety

Very professional service! Thank you very much for your help, care, and support. P.S: Best, Great, and Amazing! Thank you! Thank you!

zhang long Liang

This hospital has terrible service, most of the staffs don’t have any compassion,no patience too, poor management, they don’t deserve these sacred jobs.

Nicola Bramwell

I had one of the best experiences at the hospital when having my baby. The nurses and doctors were so kind and patient with me. The nurse held my hands when I was in pain. Omg I can't say enough good things about them .

Ros B

One of my family members is dealing with a chronic health issue, so we have been in and out of many hospitals in Brooklyn over the past few months. I can say without a doubt that this is the worst hospital in Brooklyn, and possibly the worst hospital in all of New York. Literally go anywhere else, even Coney Island Hospital will treat you with more respect. The doctors here care more about avoiding lawsuits than they do about treating people. They will blame you for any failures in their own treatment under the pretense of avoiding legal blame. Facilities are mediocre, and communication between "teams" treating you is completely nonexistent. We had to repeat details about past treatment (medicine regimen) several times a day, every single day of my relative's stay there. I am not sure if this is because they are incompetent or because of a lack of trust. But this is endemic to how they treat people in this hospital - no trust, no respect, and often, with outright hostility. And unrelated to the atrocious staff at this hospital, most of the hospital resides in a cellphone deadzone. Want to call your sick relatives at the ICU? Good luck with that.

Amel Ahary

I swear this place is hell on earth. They don’t take care of their patients. The dentist department literally NEVER answers the phone. They neglect their patients and extremely disorganized.

Anon ymous

Horrible!!! 1 out of 10 nurses are somewhat nice/professional. Apparently one cannot refuse medical treatment here (pretty sure that is illegal) and you are not allowed to leave until they run as many tests/scans as they want so they can charge you to no end. There is only one way in/out and it is guarded by security so there is no leaving until they discharge you. There were no open rooms and all staff members were constantly complaining that they didn't have any time to attend to anyone. If I were on my deathbed I would rather walk as far as necessary to be treated by a better facility.

Neil

Nice people but the waiting in emergency room is ridiculous. They give you no idea of how long for tests, xrays, etc. With the affordable care act they are making money...management is just too greedy....update...it is now a nightmare...10 hours in ER...3 hours now waiting for bed. My advice, go somewhere else....Update to update...getting discharged is just as bad...6 hours and waiting. The nurses and doctors are great..they need new management here. ..until then, avoid this place.

Rakha Ali

If I could give them zero stars, I would. This NYU LANGONE location is the most racist among all the spots I’ve been to. They are poorly equipped, jeopardize the health of their patients and they will discriminate against you based on race. In addition, there are long wait times for making appointments, for attending appointments and when it comes time to exit the place, they give you the hardest time.

Shaun Loo

My dad was unfortunately admitted here after the ambulance/EMT lied to me saying that other hospitals were full and that they couldnt take him to a closer one. I went inside to try and find my dad and the workers at the front desk at the emergency room were extremely rude. There were multiple workers there but there was only one person helping people out and he was of no help. After given clearance to enter and try and find my dad, I'm stopped because I dont have a pass and THEN I'm told that I'm required to have a pass to travel around. Please DO NOT take your loved ones here, they do not care about helping their patients, they are only money hungry and will make their patients take unnecessary scans over and over again.

Joc “Jay raquel” Sosa

Really dislike this hospital, they really need to do better. The wait is horrible as well. I spend 5 hours waiting with stomach pain and no doctor available, come to find out the “nurse” didn’t even put my name on the list. I had to keep reminding them that I had been waiting since 8: 30 am, just horrible experience.

Maria Carreno

the best service in ER I always take my mom to the emergency room of this hospital and the care is excellent They have a floor where they put patients for observation that belongs to the emergency room Thanks to all the emergency room employees for their good service nurses ,transporters etc etc

Randa _

Never again!!!! I was in the e.r., 3 different patients wheeled into the room i was in, not once did anyone clean anything. Doctors leave you there fir hours without as much as telling you what's happening till you get loud. I've been to some bad hospitals, but this one takes the cake. I was there fir 7 hours, and i walked out, took my own iv out, couldn't get out fast enough. Stay away!!

Shao ming Chen

I would have given this 0 star if it wasn’t for the nurse Doreen and nurse assistant Cathy and the asian nurses who work on the 5th Floor for making me feel comfortable. I was saved by the EMS, when I got to the ER, the female doctor( which I will keep her name confidential to keep her job) was very rude, she wrote something that wasnt true On my paperwork, and the two guys working in the C/T room during midnight was was very rude and have no manner. I could barely move, the guy told me “GET UP” “MOVE” and then I could barely speak and try to ask for assistant. And he just said “GET UP NOW” The guy behind the glass wasn’t helpful neither he said “HURRY UP” is this how you treat your patient who’s life are in danger? I can’t imagine how much more pain I could’ve been in, if my injury was more severe. Please improve your staffs! This is a hospital for crying out loud, you guys are suppose to be helping people.

David Oquendo

My father was in the ICU and was treated with care, respect, and dignity. He’s a difficult patient and the entire staff that I had contact with throughout the three days I was there was wonderful. I am very appreciative of the fine job they all have done. Thank you!

When I was looking for a place to have a baby, I looked at reviews and did not find many for this hospital for labor and delivery. The lack of reviews here, compared with the many positive reviews for another hospital, almost made me refrain from choosing this one. In the end, proximity to my home and the fact that I really liked the doctor who delivered here made me choose this hospital. Now that I have given birth here, I would like to write a detailed review to provide some of the information that I had wish was available when I was looking for a place. I came here for an induction at 2 pm. Things did not really start going until 4 pm, but it was going to be a long night anyway so the waiting wasn't really an issue since I was brought to a room quite promptly. Even though there were several other women also in labor, the ward was very quiet, probably due to good sound proofing. The nurses seem to change shifts twice a day, so within each 12 hour period I had a new nurse. All of the nurses I had were really friendly and made me feel comfortable. Most importantly, I felt like my concerns were heard and preferences were adhered to. They have a very culturally and linguistically diverse staff. They asked me my preferences for pain medication, and whether I wanted baby to do skin to skin right away. What I didn't like, but seems standard for US hospitals, is that they did not allow me to have anything except for clear liquids after the induction started. I had my last baby in Switzerland and was allowed to eat as I wanted to, just told not to eat too much. They provided broth, horrible jello, and some apple drink with a lot of sugar. Through each procedure, someone would explain to me what was going on, and what I could expect to feel. This was important to me since several of these procedures are pretty painful, and it was nice to have someone to help me breathe through it and be aware of what to expect. The hospital took measures to protect us from COVID-19. All patients are tested, and I got my results within an hour. Since I was negative, I did not have to keep my mask on during my labor. My husband kept his on though since he was not tested. Because of COVID, I was only allowed one visitor, and unfortunately my 2 year old son could not visit at all, but that is understandable given the circumstances. After my baby was born, we were moved to a recovery room. The recovery rooms are shared, but because of COVID we opted to just pay for a private room. We wanted early discharge so that I could go home to see my son, so it would only be 24 hours. The rate for a private room starts at 300 per night, and goes up depending on the size of the room. The nurses in recovery were also nice, and the hospital food was better than I expected. It's hard to rest since someone comes in to check on various things every two hours at least, but I understand that if you are a person who has complications postpartum that is probably important. They have a nursery available so that if you want to take a break, they will take the baby so you can sleep better. They are also very supportive of breastfeeding, and even had a lactation consultant come visit and ask if I had any questions. The nurses and staff were all so responsive and friendly. I am really happy that I choose to have my baby here.

salechi jenny

thank for the nurse Mustafa, he was caring and kind . He let me know what procedure was coming up! Amazing nurse

Hunny R

Horrible place you will be waiting over two hours for a simple appointment and one appointment a month or two months.. great dentist Disorganized place not recommended

Raymond Louz

The worst hospital ever There is nothing good about it it’s very very bad all over from 1 to 10 I give it negative 100

C

The staff on the first floor ( the entrance on 55th street)NYU Hospital at 150 55th street Brooklyn NY 11220 are the WORST!!! Especially the woman with the red hair. They have a sign up warning visitors to be respectful however they are rude and unprofessional. They also turn their ID tags around so you can’t see their names or tittles. It’s very disheartening to deal with people like this when you are there to visit a sick loved one.

davi dolour

Their EMS department is lazy and rude and the ER nurses feel like they are gods gift to earth

Jordan Hatch

We had our baby here this month and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. All the nurses and midwives were friendly and very helpful. Dr. Pepperman was awesome and we would highly recommend him and the hospital to anyone.

Karina Guerrero

Worst first impression. Called the main number and the receptionist transferred me to another line before I could finish speaking. She transferred me to patient information desk where the lady was nice enough, but seemed very anxious and unsure of what to do. Finally, I was transferred to the nurse's desk where no one answered and so, the call was disconnected. This happened TWO more times before finally someone picked up but she was unwilling to help. I asked her to please give me the phone number of my hospitalized relative's doctor, so my family could stay updated since we are currently unable to to visit. As far as we know, he remains in very critical condition. She said she was not able to because she'd have to go check the patient chart since she didn't have the information at hand. When i told her i could hold while she went to get the information i needed, she acted like it was an inconvenience and HUNG UP ON ME without another word. This hospital deserves every bad review it gets. These people don't care.

Betty Yusupov

I would give this hospital a zero if google would allow it. The maternity accommodations are absolutely horrific. The hospital is disgusting, everything is cheap quality. Staff is nice but not the sharpest tools in the shed. Nurses are great. Would not recommend this hospital to my worst enemy.

Prince G

The laziest hospital, my child was born their and we were suppose to travel after a month I went to the birth certificate office in manhattan they told me the hospital didn’t even process it , it usually takes a week to process birth certificates , I called the hospital they told me 4-6 weeks to process what in the world you people doing over there ??????

Ivan Savsav

The staff at the front desk to the emergency room is very rude and unprofessional. Discussing patients in a negative manner and discussing what the patients arrived here for and laughing. A headache might be seem like a funny reason to come to the emergency room to you although it can be a symptom of a possible stroke ? The fact that I was able to hear their entire conversation makes it even worse. I don’t understand how a prestigious hospital system like this can have trash working up front. Very disappointing.

Angeliny Maduro

Best service I have ever received from a hospital and especially from Victoria and Winnie from Respiratory Augustana. I walked in this hospital with it being my last hope to take a rapid covid-19 test so that I could travel. Victoria helped me right away and the service was fast and easy. Once again I want to thank the NYU Langone Hospital for their great service!

Luz Quagliaroli

The hospital has a security system for visitors and it took one hour to go in to get a pass to visit my mother, so they are cutting everyone’s time with their loved ones. Totally unacceptable!!

Jim S

I've heard a lot of bad things about the ER here but I'm glad I didn't have one of those experience. The PA and the doctor were really attentive and caring. The nurses on the other hand can be a little forgetful and forget to get your lab report. The entire trip took around 4 hours and the wait wasn't as bad as I thought.

Bernadette Mootoosammy

My visit to this hospital has been nothing but exceptional. From the time I was seen at the ER to my admission, and then to surgery the service and expertise offered has been of the best. Dr Salame and his team of clinicians and nurses are …

J Y

I went to the ER 2 times in 1 weekend. First time they sent me home after 7 long hours, and while I’m still in pain saying it’s only stomach inflammation. He's very young and not experienced, although nice but really no regards for the patient condition and pain. Pain got worse and I was rushed to ER again. My appendix ruptured thanks to the ER doctor who sent me home. Sent to regular room after surgery and the room is very dirty and dark like a prison with tiny windows.

I pap

Terrible. Have my baby delivered here . Nursing just terrible!! Waiting 15mins try get a formula milk. Ring the bell over 4times. Worst hospital ever

Shuan Loo

Worst hospital experience ever. My father was I'll, and in attempts to pump out as much money from them as they could. They ran unnecessary test. The employees at the front desk of the emergency entrance were no help. They only want one visitor at a time. And any questions I or a family had was immediately dismissed. Any attempts to try and communicate with the employees was followed with shrugs and IDGAF attitude. Not a place to bring a loved one.

YM88 Ma

We arrived the ER at 4am, received immediate care. The nurses constantly checked on us. The Dr stopped by a few times. We left in 4 hours. Much efficient than other ERs.

Tina Carew

.y husband was just here the care n serious i dont like. Its very dirty my husband was in the hospital 3 days his sheets wasnt changed i had to tell them he spilled coffee n he had fever sweating an needs his sheets changed. There was nats flying around garbage was full for 2 days. Some of the nurses was really good i understand there short staffed buti really didnt appreciate my husbands treatment.its a very dirty hospital

Shakhrier Khodzhimatov

The One of the best hospitals ive ever seen! Very nice and helpful staff! Thanks to everyone who helped me while I was hospitalized in this hospital!

hector reyes

This hospital visiting area a mess hours to get in to see your love ones. They all have nasty attitudes like you owe them something. NEVER seen such a mess of a hospital. Good medical staff all other workers hot mess.

Jackie Fisch

Went to the emergency room and they took me in right away. When I shared that I was uninsured they pointed out their clinic and made sure that my emergency room visit was covered so I wouldn't have to worry. Very helpful and knowledgable and I felt very much taken care of by the staff.

Ellen S

On hold forever. No one calls back if you get the answering machine. I’d give zero stars if I could. I was on hold this long before the operator came on. She could not give me the unit phone number so she transferred me. They hung up on me. Now I am waiting, again. I will never send my loved one here, again.

MaNnY

Had my son on Monday there. It was one of the best experiences I've had in a hospital. my daughter was born 4 years ago in Lutheran and it was a different feeling and vibe . Everyone was nice and joking . The nurses gave anything we needed and the TV is free. The rooms were upgraded as well. I was impressed how they truly wanted to make us feel at home. Thank you to all the nurses. And to the head nurse in charge who gave us heartwarming advice on how to deal with my daughters emotions with a new baby. We are extremely grateful thank you

Molivo Olivo

I was a patient in the rusk rehabilitation unit in bklyn. The staff in rehab were excellent, helpful and ask what you would like to work on as far as your goals. The biggest problem with this facility is the size of the patient rooms.this is definitely a safety hazard, I'm surprised the state, city and OSHA allow this kind of thing to exist ,also the air conditioning system needs UPDATES. Stay safe and have a great day also can't forget Dr.fine who goes out of his way to make sure you understand all that is going on with your specific situation.

I was in Brooklyn hanging out with a friend when I started to not feel well. I was in Industry City so I went to the ER at NYU. I live close to Cornell in Manhattan and had been there many years ago. After what I experienced, I have a greater appreciate for Cornell. I could not believe how awful my experience was at NYU -- greeted by smokers at the ER door, rude people at the front desk, and doctors and nurses who just ignored you. One of the doctors refused to give a patient near me access to an interpreter. Watching that patient cry as she grew increasingly frustrated was so awful. I tried to complain about it to someone. They sent someone to talk to me. At first I thought this must be a joke because surely the staff in charge of customer service couldn't be this socially awkward. It all devolved from there and got worse. I guess they can get away with treating people so poorly because of the community they serve. My advice to everyone, do yourself a favor and respect yourself enough to go to Methodist or come into the city for good care.

Ron Morgan

I was there in August 20 2020, that was the worst stay i ever had at any NYU LANGONE HOSPITAL. They treat me not like a human being try to give me the wrong medicine telling me it was M.S. medicine. Plus they gave me steriods n my sugar was still just giving me insluin n no slalin at all , when i refuse to take the insluin i was told if i had to go to ICU i wasnt going. When a resdient doctor tells u that its time to get the hell out of there. They r the WORST HOSPITAL I EVER BEEN TOO..

Arielle Salkin

The maternal fetal medicine dept here insisted on inducing me completely unnecessarily 2 weeks early (based on paperwork, not on an exam of any kind, and against the opinion of my doctors) which lead to 50 hours of labor and a c section. They wrote on my charts that I had medical conditions I didn’t have and were surprised when I corrected them, every nurse coming in had misinformation (like they were trying to convince me I had an epidural when I didn’t) and they thought that it was ok to prevent me from eating for three days while pregnant and enduring their inductions. They told me it was imperative I have the baby right away (it wasn’t) and my doctor made them at least let me go home and get my bag. When I got back they made me wait for 3 hours in the cafe. Doesn’t sound like an emergency to me. Postpartum nurses woke me and my baby up regularly and unnecessarily at all hours for random things like weighing her (2 am), PKU test (3am) and when we asked to sleep a few hours they told us we were trying to break NY law by not getting the tests they require (we weren’t, we just needed sleep). I got 3 hours of sleep in my five day stay and left one day post op because I couldn’t stand to be there anymore. Give birth elsewhere.

It is terrible the service of the operators that I pass with the option of Spanish to make an appointment these operators answer in English hang off the tel when listen Spanish

Worst experience ever!!! My mom just had a surgery by Dr. Levin. He is a wonderful doctor and person! He did the surgery, called me to let me know how it went, came to visit my mom - did all a good doctor can do!!! Thank you Doctor Levin, But, than the ordeal starts: The rooms are small and air free and dirty. My mom needed the machine that helps her circulation - no machine for 2 days. To sit her up in a chair - we had to go and yell at the nurses. Finally, on the 5th day they set her up in a chair and in 2 hours I got a call that the doctors discharged her. "She is good to go to a rehab" And you know why, just because the Medicare and Medicaid doesn't pay much. The day my mom had the surgery, my husband came over to the recovery room and fainted (because we were in Mexico and he got the severe case of diarrhea and dehydration). He was wheeled in to the ER, they did all the tests and ruled out heart attack, but wanted to do an Echo Cardiogram to make sure. He stayed there for more than 24hrs - it was not done. He went home, but fainted again. Back at the emergency room - all the same procedures, but ended up lying on a stretcher in the ER for more than 2 days. I spoke to the nurses, head nurse, patient's representative, doctors - they didn't want to sign him out as they wanted the Echo Cardiogram done, and it just took over 3 days and my yelling at his doctor in front of a bunch of students to get him out of that place and the Echo still has not been done!!! Is that crazy or what? Just because my insurance pays well, they milk it any way they can!!! The whole experience there is very frustrating! I wish I never get to see this hospital again!!! I hope they shut it down instead of many more decent hospitals that were shot down in Brooklyn.

JEN BROWN

poor management, nurses not paying attention to their patients. Nurses not giving the patients medications on time. Nursing students walking around with print out patients health information on plain view and taking it home. HIPAA violations right there.Another thing I noticed that many nurses take time to study for their masters online while on the clock. very unprofessional if my medications are suppose to be giving at 9 am why I'm getting it at 3hrs later. especially high blood pressure medications. The nurse on the 3rd floor calling me honey, I'm not your honey.

Amjad Nadeem

ER for kids is worst pkace to bring kids. My son fell at home and get a cut on right side of forehead. We brought him to ER around 645PM. They made us wait till 1030 to close his wound with 4 stiches. On PA & Nurse did work, No doctor even came to see him & they send my insuramce $5800 bill. This hospital just robbing people....

Cliff F.

This used to be a decent hospital. Back on September 2018, my father was admitted here and the social worker/billing department made every attempt to get my father to overcharge for my father's stay and not cooperate in assisting in finding a nursing home for him. Even after my family told the billing department the change of address and power of attorney, they decided to refuse cooperating with my family to pay the outstanding balance and send a collection agency after my father. Ever since NYU took over, the hospital became garbage and the staff uncaring and/or incompetent.

Rachel Baabob

The best hospital and staff i ever seen ...POLITE NICE TREATING PEOPLE VERY GOOD EXELENT THX A LOT ... U SAVE MY MOM

Ciara Poalillo

It’s an old and run down facility. Desecent doctors but HORRIBLE staff. Instead of caring for the patient, the staff excels at chit chatting with one another and FaceTiming family members!!! You have to ask over and over again for the same thing which turns into hours worth. Their responses are “ok, one minute” but NEVER come back. There are lots of lackadaisical attitudes and don’t even think about asking any type of questions! They may actually have to do their job!!! Most nurses were uninformed while taking care of you. LOOK AT THE CHART get info before entering and tending to the patient. Have any questions about your specific surgery or condition?! Well here’s their answer “I don’t know”. Nice, right!? If you dont stay on top of the nurses it’s like entering at your own risk. I will say we did have one amazing, caring, hardworking nurse in the anesthesia recovery room...Chita C.!!! Also, the surgery room doctors made you feel at ease and who seem to take pride in what they do. Unfournately, the compliments stop there. Can’t believe this place operates the way it does with a name like NYU attached to it.

Bob S

Ambulance brought me there for a compound fracture. I was operated on within 2 hours. Immediately after the operation was a bit rough as they are stingy with pain meds. I stayed for 2 more days for monitoring/recovery. Food was actually good. The recent takeover has had an affect on staff. People are new and generally have a good attitude but you can see that they haven't hit their operational rhythm just quite yet. Be a nice person and you should receive good service. Overall the stay was the nicest part of the trauma experience.

Locky Tse

This hospital has one of the best ER staff ever seen. Fast diagnosis and treatment. I shouldn't name names but they help me and my family with a tough decision regarding end of life and I am eternally grateful. Their hospice staff is also amazing. They took care of everything even at the end. God bless.

Eli A

Worst hospital ever very dirty we stayed for 3 days they never moved the garbage never cleaned the path room. Also with COVID around they have room with 5 people in it between 2 patients in each room and their visitors

karen loot

the radiologist. JENNIE CHANG was very rude, unhelpful when I was getting my scans. She rushed me to change into garments for the scan I've scheduled. I had a bad back and cannot do quick swing-arounds with my arm. I asked for some assistance and largely ignored for my requests. never again with this place
