Great staff. Servers are well setup and professionally maintained.
(Translated) I was in the emergency this morning, I was very well treated and cared for. 2 and a half hours "in" and "Out". (Original) J'ai été à l'urgence ce matin, j'ai été très bien traiter et soigner ..2 hrs et demi "in" and "Out".
Fantastic hospital great staff and quick wait times
Nurses are really friendly and check up on you frequent. Wait times under 3hours compared to kitcheners 8-12 hours it's great! Drs have been thorough do referrals when needed and have been friendly and listen also look at your med list. X-rays may not be available at all hours that's the only downfall. MRI are booked fast.
We just had our first child, and spent 3 days there. The staff in the O.B. ward were exceptional. Every single one. From the Cleaning/Facilities staff, to the Food Service staff, to Nurses and Doctors. If I could give 6 stars, I would.
Wait times and letting patient know what’s going on horrible. I felt like I sat in an abandoned hospital. No info. When I went to nurse desk to enquire. Was told to bad this is emerg! Terrible way to treat people. Any update is better then sitting in pain not knowing when you will see anyone.
Unlike hospitals in London, I felt welcome at Woodstock General. All staff whom I encountered were helpful and friendly.
Great little hospital, The parking is 4 dollars to park for the day which is very good compared to other hospitals in the area. Everyone inside is very friendly and helpful.
Excellent staff, quick, friendly, professional, amazing service!! Highly reccomended if you need emergency services!!
Went in today for a tonsillectomy. I don’t even have the words to describe the staff. All were so kind and caring and made sure it was truly a pleasant experience! I’m 19 but honestly a big baby when it comes to things like this, but they were all so kind and comforted me through all the tears. In the operation room there was lots of doctors and surgeons, but there was this one younger gal who held my oxygen mask on. She stood above me, wiping away my tears and kept calmly assuring me everything was going to be okay. Her kindness and compassion helped me so so much in my time of need and I wish I could’ve thanked her. The other woman in the day surgery unit was also such a kind soul... she kept bringing me heated blankets and popsicles and cheering me up. Overall the best experience I could’ve ever asked for. All these nurses/doctors truly care about the patients and have a passion for caring about others. Thank you to everyone today, you guys are the best. I was tearing up on my way out because I didn’t want to leave! Anyways, I wish I could give 10/5 stars. Woodstock Hospital is the place to go for surgery, I promise you!
Very clean and are happy to help you out
Have received excellent care on more than one occasion. Its a new modern attractive complex. The emerge waiting times i suspect are not the shortest in the province, but once you get in you will be well cared for.
Friendly and fast.
Brutal as always. ER nurses that gossip way to much should find another field of work. Go elsewhere.
All Staff in ER were great! Quick, thorough, knowledgeable and efficient. Highly recommend to anyone needing emergency service. Visited Oct 3/19 @ 10:00am.
Maturity ward was amazing and would definitely recommend. Emergency Room, not so much. Apparently seeing multiple people with sprained ankles were much more important than a baby with a high fever. Waited well over 3 hours just to end up leaving and having the doctor running up to us last minute saying we need to run a bunch of tests, while being very rude about it. If they were seriously that concerned, they would have made us first priority over the people with the ankle problems and not make us wait as long as they did. Not impressed.
Trash lazy and entitled like most staff in woodstock anywhere
Great Hospital.
My nana has been in and out of the hospital for months. Shes dieing and there isnt anything they have done for her let alone told her what's even going on. Her feet and hands are going black, shes in constant pain, cant eat sleep or drink anything. We are at a loss of what to do. * update my nana died march17th and we have no idea why . . . Lots of other things were happening her body was just shutting down and we have no answers*
This experience is related to ultrasounds only. I went in for an ultrasound and my spouse and I were not impressed by the fact that he was FORCED to sit outside during the ultrasound pictures or they would not perform the ultrasound. I understand policy but I believe if a patient requests it they should be allowed to have anyone sit in on a procedure as simple as that. I don’t see any safety related reason why they would not be allowed in nor any privacy reasons especially if I requested he join me. We both want to experience the journey together. He has just as much of a right sitting in there as I do!This “policy” should be changed. If you’re worried about legality have each patient sign to agree to allow him to view the procedure. Not happy in the slightest.
My wife went in with severe sharp stomach pains, and waited over 8 HOURS! There were stretches where a nurse would walk by and say " oh you're still here!" then another 2 hours would go by. The doctor saw her for barely 2-3 min and left again for more than 3 hours without a word of next steps. Very, very disappointing. Pathetic really.
My name is Lezzlie Small I had a operation at Sunnybrook they blotted my operation up Woodstock hospital made it so I lived
Really good service
I went to Woodstock hospital to have my wisdom teeth removed on October 12th. I have to say I was very very impressed. Dr. Furst was the one who operated, and the whole team from start to end was phenomenal. Not to mention, I BARELY swelled at all, and had no bruising whatsoever. I also wasn’t drugged to the point where I said stupid things lol I was with it. He did such a clean job. 5 stars from me.
I came here while I was in hard labour. I was questioned why I went there (since my doctor is in Brantford). I explained that I live in Woodstock and I'm in labour. My water broke and contractions hit hard and fast. This is my fourth delivery and out of all my pregnancies and deliveries, I've NEVER in my life had someone jam their hand to check my cervix rougher than this nurse did. I found the nurse beyond rough, rude and unprofessional. I will never go back there. After that they sent me to Brantford anyway. What kind of hospital sends away a woman in labour? Other areas in this hospital might be great but this experience was an absolute nightmare.
Nurses are kind and understanding.
ER is bad takes forever to get in,
My 2 year old went in for day surgery. I was amazed at how clean the hospital was and the staff was amazing and helpful. Everyone we talked to was so friendly. Special thanks to the staff who helped my daughter through her surgery. James (pre-op) Dr.J, Nicole (Pacu) Freda (pacu) and Heather (post-op). I would highly recommend Woodstock General Hospital to anyone.
I have been in many hospitals in my life and had many operations, including heart surgery, leg surgeries and now live with Crohns for the last 5 years. In my life I have had to visit many hospitals while dealing with the disease. This was an unbelievably friendly hospital, from the doctors to the nursing staff they were very caring and understanding! Of all of the ones I have been in this one was by far the best in the nurses time with patients and attentiveness to needs and pain. They were extreamly caring and made me truly feel welcome during a very uncomfortable time! Also the cleanliness and care of the facilities was the best I have experienced! I can honestly say I am happy to have moved too Woodstock and at ease after a recent(my first stay at the hospital)stay to have such an amazing local hospital with so much compassion and professionalism! As much as I dread hospitals this one is one that doesn't have me afraid to be returning too! Thank you too all the nurses and staff that made my stay so much better!
We recently had our baby delivered at WGH. All around great experience with doctors and nurses. Very clean and bright delivery rooms. Short walk from parking lot to rooms. Pretty good cafeteria options.
Staff are great. Hospital is spotless. Cafeteria has good food and gift shop has many great items for your sick family or friends.
I recently had a 'cancellation' hip replacement surgery. I was extremely impressed with the staff at this hospital! Everyone was kind, compassionate, knowledgable, helpful and friendly! Keep up the good work, WGH!!!
I had surgery there last June and the entire surgical team and the medical staff on the units were very caring. They provided care with heart and was very professional.
I have been to tje Woodstock hospital many times with my breathing issues because I have asthma and every time I would walk in or get bought in by ambulance they would treat me like garbage and not give me anything so I recomend to everyone avoid this hospital
Not fond of this Hospital, I used to drive to Ingersoll or London with more serious issues, now I am within walking distance to LHSC.
ER was a joke I guess the nurses in ER and TRIAGE diagnose patients they want to or lose information on some. I am a 58 year old and the only way I’ll return to the emergency department is via an Ambulance. That’s the only way I’ll get taken in to see a Doctor
My husband was brought in by ambulance because he had fallen. Was seen by a Dr. and 2 nurses within minutes. Admitted and in his room within 2 hours. Xrays showed broken back in 2 places. Thanks Woodstock.
Came to ER with an ankle injury. Waited for 4 hours, then left since there was still no doctor to see me in the foreseeable future. What a joke.
Absolutely the worst place to go if you’re sick and need medical attention, theirs only ever only one doctor on duty in the emergency room and they sit around gossiping about the patients. The wait times are unbelievable, I was stung by a bee and they left me sitting there for hours with a serious reaction happening, they couldn’t even fully register me.
Around the first of January, I had a kidney stone attack. Once inside the emergency ward, I was taken in and cared for immediately. There were many people ahead of me, but the triage nurse realized I was in severe pain and moved me to front of the line. I was administered to promptly and efficiently. This Tuesday, I underwent day surgery to remove the stones. Many thanks to Dr. Violette and the operating room staff at Woodstock day surgery. From admission, to the staff that prepared me for the operation, operating room staff to recovery and discharge, I can not say enough about the care and attention I recieved. The post op nurse, Theresa, even called my home about two hours later to make sure all was well. Thank you again to all involved to make an unpleasent, but necssary operation as palatable as possible. I feel safe and confident having these dedicated professionals looking after the interests of the public.
If I could give the CCU doctor a zero I would not hesitate. ER doctor I saw was great. Told me I may have a blood clot in my lung. Admitted me to CCU. Next day saw CCU doctor and ordered the nurse to stop my pain meds and to give me a Tylenol. Told the nurse to take me off of the heart monitor and to stop fluids. My nurse didn't agree as she felt I was very dehydrated. Doctor didn't care. Doctor blamed my chest discomfort on anxiety and refused to do the test to rule out blood clot. Meanwhile my D-Dimer came back positive for blood clot. I have never done this but signed myself out. Lost all hope in this hospital. Will be filing a complaint but from what I read above looks like hospital administrator doesn't care enough to get back to you. When you are terrified to seek medical treatment there is a huge problem. So incredibly sad. CCU doctor should not be practicing medicine. Not sure how she sleeps at night treating patients like this.
Facilities, nurses and x-ray staff all great. Then there was the Dr. Kor.... I had been in an accident on the 401. Someone sped by in the left lane, hit the median and flew across the lanes. I managed to stop and not hit her but the car behind me unfortunately hit me and pushed me into her car. I was pretty shaken up and sore in various places. The police officer and ambulance crew felt I should go get checked. When this Dr finally came in she didn't ask how I was doing. She was more interested in how fast I was going and was implying it was my own fault. That was her primary concern. I am a 60 year old professional woman. I have no interest in faking anything. I was driving safely, with traffic, passing no one. This made what was a very scary experience even worse.
I honeslty think that the emergency dept nurses and dr need to take more time with the elderly, sent my very sick 83 year old father home, not 4 hours later was back in emerg and then sent to the CCU has been in the hospital for 17 days and counting, I truly don't think he got that sick in the 4 hours he was at home to fall and this time hurt himself, I must say the nurses on the CCU took FANTASTIC care of my father, until he was sent to the regular wing, now he is just kinda left alone gets checked as per there regular schedule, was given breakfast when he should not have for he had a test to do, cut open his thumb in the shower on some unknown surface, the food he has been served...AWFUL... the care the elderly get in this country is disgusting , he was a working class citizen for more than 65 years he has earned the right to get the care and help he deserves.. other than the CCU experience this hospital has some work to do...have written the hospital have complained with no return phone calls as per staff that will get back to me about this matter (still have heard nothing)..very disappointing to say the least....
My son came in with internal bleeding today is day 7 that he has been here with no aswers should have went to london very disapointed.
Wait times can be long but the service makes up for it.
A very good hospital and good Food.
Very good staff
I got in right away but have been sitting in a room for just over any hour and haven't been looked it yet. But I can hear nurses gabing. This was a bad decision coming hear. On the other hand I learned about black Friday shopping in the states. Maybe they should learn how to run a hospital effectively from the states.
ER doctor argued with my spouse and the pharmacist who both indicated the medication he wanted to give me would cause an allergic reaction. He overruled them. Predictably I had an allergic reaction. I was given a subsequent medication to control the first outbreak. I had a secondary reaction. I was pregnant at the time. This was unidentified by the hospital staff and ought to have been taken into consideration during my care. We will not return here. We drive our family to the hospital in London now when care is required.
A bright, clean, facility with amazing staff. Would have given 5 stars but emergency wait times are ridiculous. Not the fault of the staff, just not enough doctors on duty.
My husband had some day surgery yesterday and we were treated as if we were the only patients there. The staff are amazing ! From preop to patient registration, the volunteers and all the nurses and drs in the day surgery dept. Thanks to Nurse Christine in day surgery and a big thank you to Dr. Humphreys for the excellent care.
I recently had a very good experience at Woodstock hospital. All the staff including nurses and the doctor who saw me were excellent. Wait time was minimal and when the doctor saw me, tests and results were quick and helpful. I was treated with respect and dignity. Thank you.
Saved my life
Excellent care and compassionate nurses. The hospital is bright small but very clean
There are some very good and very inexperienced doctors here
I went in there for a bumb in my mouth and went by ambulance and they brought me to the triage Center and and they didnt right away I was in for 2 hours and thatI was highly and pain so I left so this Hospital sucks
New to town, I was wondering about walk in clinics in Woodstock, when you call the hospital to inquire on walk in clinics in order to not bog up the emergency, I hit 0 to talk to the operator, there is a very rude woman on the other end, who is short, has a tone and talks so fast you can barely keep up. When you politely ask her to slow down, her tone just simply gets more aggressive. If the operators at the hospital don't feel like assisting customers, they shouldn't be in customer service. Not a very good first experience with the Woodstock Hospital.
Pure garbage
You could need medication within the next 10 minutes, or you will end up dead, and the staff here would still rather sit on their asses and talk about absolute nonsense that they can talk about on break! They need to get it together, I came in for a reevaluation, and waited over 2 hours, and I was one of two people who were waiting in the emerge room, the entire time
Nice Job
I went to emerg because I had been throwing up with a severe cough, and felt like I could not breathe, I was wretching, could not keep food down, had not been eating, and had no sleep for a few days. I was in tears, silent tears, and the nurse was abrupt and said "why are you crying", I had reached my limit with sick, and was having trouble coping, she was rude. They gave me nothing, did no blood work, took an x Ray, and sent me home. I was livid. Nothing had changed as another 2 days had gone by, no eating, same symptoms, went to family dr, and she sent me to emerg, as I have kidney issues. I went to St.Marys in Kitchener, and and they gave me something for the throat, 2 iv bags as I was completely dehydrated, as I'd had no liquids or food, gave me a script for antibiotics, blood work was done, as well as cultures, the nurses and dr, and triage, at st Mary's had theeee nicest mannerisms. I moved to Woodstock 6 years ago because of husbands job, and I have not been happy with Woodstock hospital. I'm absolutely Scared at the thought of having to go there again. They are miserable, not nice, and down right cold.
we had a crazy experience here and hospital and staff over all was amazing. always a few stand outs though. my wife was having major surgery Wednesday morning with Dr Swart. I fell ill Tuesday afternoon with major kidney Issues. I had to be there for my wife so grit my teeth and went home with pain meds to make sure she got to hospital and had her surgery Wednesday.after I saw she was ok I was back in emerg for same issue I have had many kidney Issues in past but we doctors don't like to hear what I knew was happening.once again sent back out with new pain meds again. Thursday while visiting my wife want in great discomfort a nurse in her floor kept saying I need to go back to emerg after a few hrs I had no choice but to got back once again er doc thought he knew what was best until I finally along with my step daughter convinced him to admit me . The nursing staff soon found out about our predicament .and went out of there way to put my wife and I in same room so we could be together during this stressful time. my urologist came to see me dr Umal?? Friday said er didn't communicate to them the dire situation but rather sent a referal! I required emergency surgury to get my right kidney working again and he and his assistant came in in day off to repair me and set up another surgery in a weeks time. The nurses in 25 block were amazing from Jill who knew I was going down for the count and forced my hand to get myself looked after or I'm not helping anyone which was true, Shayla and Britt who's care was nothing but full of compassion and over all best hospital care anyone could ever ask for! hospitals are a stressful place to be in the first place and not a 5 star resort. But when you get such amazing care after all the dust settles what more can you ask for?
All the staff there is great and helped us in time of need. Thank you again to the E.R., ICU and the second floor nurses and doctors.
Had surgery there over a year ago and the care was excellent. Starting from my visit to the ER to having surgery a few weeks later. Me and my husband was very impressed with the ER doctor and the surgical team. I am from Cleveland and the service here was by far the best.
Only because I can't give a 0. Worse hospital ever. Worth the drive to London. Staff are rude and obnoxious. No one seems to care about anyone but themselves. And don't even get started on the wait.
Nurses could be nicer
Very disappointed with woodstock hospital. They are part of the London cancer centre so if you are part of the Grandriver Cancer Centre they make it difficult to get a biopsy and ultrasound. Do they not realize it is stressful to be diagnosed with cancer and then to be told the biopsy cannot be done because they didn't have enough info as you are not part of our area. I live two blocks away from the woodstock Hospital. My doctor is in Kitchener.
My husband and I were both patients there recently, at the same time and in the same room. The care we received from the nursing staff was unbelievable esp Brittany, Shayla and Jill was absolutely awesome. Best nursing care ever.
