We've got the information of real people who use the services of Vancouver Convention Centre (Hospital) near West Vancouver (Canada).
Nowadays this business gets a rating of 4.6 out of 5 and this score is based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that it reaches an reviews average is basically the best one, and it is based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may be pretty sure that the assessment is quite reliable. If there are many people who bothered to leave their score when they've done well with the business, it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to place opinions when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Hospital corresponds to the category of Convention center.
I dont know if I should blame the bad conventions we have on the center or the organizer. It's a beautiful building that is very well kept; nothing to really complain about. Bathrooms are very well designed and you feel safe when you are attending conferences in the area. Some of the carpet is getting old!
We had a convention here it went so great. Nice facility. It was clean, beautiful area and views.
Nice big open building, I have been here for a few awesome conventions in the past!
Amazing place, I’ve been here for the C.C.C Canadian Cardiology Congress, international mini g expo, also Vancouver international show many of times. It very easy to get around , staff is very polite and helpful. It’s a also great to host private events.
I was there simply for my 2nd Covid vaccination.
This is a main place for events in Vancouver. I often go here for SBBC awards and other events like CPTPP presentation by global affairs. Shows run from cargo logistics show to home improvement shows. The views of the place are nice as it is on the water in front if North Vancouver. The food is ok. They also have a coffee place.
I love Vancouver, and the Vancouver Covention Centre is at the centre of everything. I always have the best experience there, and their security staff consistently provide great service and help. Everything is always clean, modern, comfortable, friendly and professional.
Long waiting line for getting covid vaccine...hate this. Better is Anvil center
The West building is truly a beautiful convention space. It's a staunch representation of Vancouver, blending into downtown's glass jungle, nestled right in the picturesque waterfront, and connecting our world-famous Seawall. The giant spinning globe at the entrance represents the venue's international status, as many conferences, trade shows, and events have gathered in Vancouver over the years. I've had the privilege of working many events at the West building and am still enamoured by its majesty every time. The first floor ballroom is breathtaking, especially section D in the evening/night with North Vancouver and Stanley Park as the backdrop. My only complaint is the choice of flooring/carpeting (which seems to be the case for most event spaces, but understandable) as it's the most out of place feature of an otherwise impeccable building. It goes without saying, booking space can be difficult. Some dates are booked well in advance, especially annually recurring events. The convention centre website is very user-friendly, with an active calendar and specifications of both East and West buildings. Likewise, expect prices to be steep across the board: room rental, AV, F&B, bar service, etc. Staff service is OK; should be world-class given what you pay, but that's a moot point in the grand scheme of things—love having events here!
Michaelangelo paintings fantastic
I got my 2nd vaccination here. This place is impressively organized. It's easy to get there by transit.
A very scenic area n lookout
Excellent infrastructure for events. Easy access to public transport and local restaurants
Got my covid vaccine shot ???? Everybody very good and pleasant and helpful. Almost no long waiting time.great . hopefully will be done ... for now
Almost no lineups for vaccinations now. Smooth, fast experience.
Did vaccination there. Everything was done smoothly.
Covid-19 Vaccinations Center up to 5,000Doses done a day.
spacious, clean conference room and have a great view, nice spot to take pictures
fascinating view! huge space for organization. we went here to attend cosmic costume parade. lots of entertainment, good for picture taking. lots of tourist spot around the city. parking is everywhere. great food. lots of hotel to stay in. easy access to commuters. you will surely enjoy your visit!
Ultra Modern Waterfront Location. Multi-story modern designed building allowing a lot of natural light to enhance the cavernous atmosphere within. Long sets of escalators to move large crowds. Well signed to reflect the various events happening within. Coat check available to the attendees of the annual Circle Craft Fair during the week of November 7-12 th. Exhibition halls are spacious allowing for about two hundred vendors to display their wares, and to allow for customer sit down seating of snacks and meals. Tourist information booth and sight seeing tours and activities within walking distance outside. Close to sky train and Canada line stations and the several posh hotels including the picturesque five sails for special occasions. Sinclair shopping center and other high end shops within easy walking distance.
Got my 3rd booster! Very organized. No long line ups.
Super views to the North Shores and lots of stairs for fitness enthusiasts!
I want to see imagine then go it was amazing to see it hear it tasted it was larger than life an incredible experience I'm going again before it ends I really really nice experience
Been here twice for my covid vaccine, very organized, it's a good venue to have such events.
Very clean and attractive place.
Great organized system in place for vaccinations
Super nice . Great venue for great conference
The annual Christmas fair is a must visit. The view of the harbour and the mountains and the waters is breathtaking.
A really great event location - well run, clean, with a number of great spaces. Have been there for a number of events, and always found the Centre staff polite and helpful. Good sized parking lot ( never had a problem finding a space, even though you right in the middle of the city) and it's location means great views at break times!
A beautiful convention center located right on the water. I attend a lot of scientific conferences for work, and this particular convention is easy to navigate and has lots of huge windows that take advantage of Vancouver's amazing views.
An Amazing place for meetings and lots more.
Awesome place for conventions, great catering service.
Convention center host a lot of event here. Car show, Canada day, Fans Expo etc. Parking is expensive because of downtown area, those shop around the convention center is for tourists. They have bike lane and joking along the seaside view, plenty of bench you can sit down and rest to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.
I can’t remember a better convention center. The views are spectacular. There are so many crummy convention centers that are just big boxes. You walk outside here and there are majestic views.
This building is huge, which has many levels and areas assigned to the trade show. Nice touch on the patio, for one of the show sponsors, having a refreshment area set up, in the open air. A nice patio view of the Harbour, the Cruise Ships and a view of the iconic White Sails beside Vancouver's Pan Pacific Hotel. The escalators took us to the lower level that has to be below sea level. The lower level is an extraordinary expanse. Thanks for this year's show .....
So beautiful and sustainable. Amazing views from the floor to ceiling windows. Great way to showcase Vancouver and our environmental values.
I really like the Vancouver convention centre. It's modern, functional, clean and easy to navigate. I've been for many events and have a great time.
Got my COVID booster here, everyone was nice
My favorite place in vancouver for view, food and fun
Went here for booster vaccine and very well organized!
Went there to get my booster vaccine
Beautiful location and building.
Was there for Covid-19 vaccination today but I've been to a number of events there as well. Modern, huge facility, best views of North Shore mountains and Burrard Inlet.
We had good time with Canadian tourism college students. Guide was very knowledgeable . Very big center to use for seminars and Wedding events.
A beautiful view of port and North Vancouver.
This place is part of the Canada place, Yesterday I had my 1st dose of vaccine at Vancouver Convention Center. When I walked through inside I saw a very clean and very wide place that can accomodate 1000 of people inside. In this place held the meetings from different categories like political, educational, and some concert and many more things can be held in this Convention center.
Beautiful location and space.
Nice vista for taking photos. Was lovely when the cruise ships were in
Beautiful view. They poked me and I didn't cry????
I remember visiting the Convention Centre. It's a great place!
Bloomin fantastic. Best COVID vaccination I've had in years.
Beautiful place to visit.
Wonderful experience in Van Gogh show. I recommend strongly to visit even if you are not too much interested in art. It invites you inside the Gogh paints. You literally walk into it. Feel it and live in it for an hour. Well done presentation, respectful to Van Gogh art. Convention Centre was also very welcoming, nice and professional staff. Very safe managing social distancing very well
I had a professional development session here. Perhaps I am just getting used to the place or perhaps they are getting better at running these sessions, but I quite enjoyed the facilities. There was a sign in the parking lot to direct me to the nearest entrance to my session, there were staff at the bottom and top of the escalators to guide me, there was coffee and pastry. The room was a decent temperature, audio was good. Video screens were large and bright. Only complaint? That parking is pricey!
Went to get vaccine shot
It is one of the best places I’ve ever been.
Extremely clean and staff very friendly n organized
Checked out LTX and it's hands down one of the best computer tech conventions I've ever been to. Can't wait until next year.
Nice place to visit when you have time
Well organized and friendly cruise terminal staff
Look don't get me wrong. Great building, and right now it's helping the city to give people its vaccinations which is why I was there. But 12 dollars for an hour of parking is extortion. I will never park down there again. And the pricing isn't clearly advertised anywhere.
999 Convention center #VACCINATION PARKING. Process was EFFICIENT FROM BC HEALTH. 5 ⭐ #WESTPARK are getting MILLIONAIRES with this short visit and the mandatory 15m wait time after vaccine. This company at least should be reducing the regular prices or not charging at ALL. As a social due to the pandemic situation. Well I parked there because it was raining today to my surprise they can't even organized or managed a single elevator after the vaccine so YOU need to go all the way around the building to come back to the parking area. Not so smart but yet prices are HIGH. Government should VOID all charges related to VACCINE.
Bright and spacious. I love take walks around this area. Also, it's my vaccination centre, all pretty organized, clear and fast.
Absolutely breathtaking views of the mountains, ocean and the Vancouver landscape from this location. There is an extensive variety of restaurants, hotels, stores and tourist adventures just a stones throw away. It is very convenient and easy to find information booths and shuttle buses for tourist excursions from this location as well. I love spending time here and taking in the ambiance of the city. By far one of my very favourite locations in Vancouver. ***IF YOU FOUND THIS REVIEW HELPFUL KINDLY “LIKE” IT***
Great outdoor spaces with nice views of North Van.
Always an amazing venue for trade shows. Exhibited about 20 times over the years, one of the best for sure. World class building
Great views. Nice way to see Vancouver. Its free and easy to visit.
I have been to many convention centers all over North America but this is still the best. It is in a fantastic setting with easy assess to hotels, shopping areas, other attractions and, of course, Stanley Park. The setting and surroundings is nice with the Olympic Cauldron and Plaza outside. Views across the Inlet to North Vancouver and the North Shore Mountains are beautiful. It is huge which means that it can hold some of the largest meetings around.
I have been down at Jack Poole Plaza a couple of times for a worship.event.and was told people could use the washroom but you had to.buy something from the cafe . I did buy a coffee and a muffin and was heading to the bathroom and a female and just turning my head and looking at the decor around me and the female security guard from Genesis snaps at me for looking around at the environment I am in . The next time I was at am outside event the female with the badge Trade Conference would not let me on to use the washroom and said they were closed but let others go in. I have respect for the uniform but not these two females wearing the uniform
Great ambiance, I recommend the Covid jab
I came here and it *boosted* my popularity immensely.????
Came here for our daughter's grad, absolutely beautiful location for a grad.the banquet room had a wall that was all windows with a view of the North shore mountains. It was a beautiful night.
Not the best loading bay for the drivers. But being one floor makes load ins and strikes nice because you don't have to fight for the freight elevators.
if you're attending any PD seminars or business conferences, note which side of Building, East vs West you're entering from: West side - you won't miss the large revolving globe above the front staircase from glass panels East side - Pan Pacific Hotel amazing space with "state of the art" LEED building wall panels are all natural hemlock from BC coasts simple & clean architectural designs modernizes the West Building expansion in 2009, in anticipation of Vancouver's 2010 Winter Olympics. enjoy the spectacular view from 2nd floor after your seminar or conference!
I have to admit that for the cost of 900 million, this facility looks pretty awesome. They should invest in escalators that automatically turn off when not in use. Also, I'm not sure if LED lights were used but I'm hoping so. The ceiling in the upper floors of the facility is awesome with great views of Vancouver. Also, in the entrance I'm not why there is an area without any lights, it's pretty dark at night time. I'm happy that they are using sustainable water for bathroom flushing and have a live roof with water collection.
Great facility. Nice "eco-green" architecture concept. Bees on the living roof etc...Great venue. We saw Van Gogh there. Great height, superb venue.
Such a beautiful convention centre. I love the wood and the location is one of the best in Vancouver
Perfect venue to get a vaccine that will help curb covid!
Easy and expensive parking.
Fabulous Imagine Van Gogh exhibition! A must-see!
Massive indoor space for hosting events. I've been to numerous shows, events, and conferences here, including: Outdoor Adventure Show, Gluten Free Expo, Wellness Expo, Arcteryx Factory Sale, Taboo Show. Easy to get here from the skytrain (especially Millennium line).
It was great experience, I went to see exhibition. Bigger hall, follow the guidelines of covid19
Very convenient location & excellent design and room space...
It's a great place to take the vaccine. Very large, and also a lot of professional medical workers are there to help.
went here for my booster shot, big space and very organized.
Great place and service. They ask for the vaccination card and ID. Everything works well. The Van Gogh and Picasso exhibitions were great!
Huge convention center with 2 separate buildings. Great view through the windows. Great view of the industrial harbour. Not enough seats to for people to relax after a long conference.
This place is so massive it's hard to believe it's sitting on landfill, especially with the huge escalators going down to the sublevel where they hold car shows, which as the photo shows is incredibly spacious when empty.
A huge hall. We went to get vaccinated. The process was pretty smooth. There was a huge number of stalls and they were pretty quick to give us the vaccine. There was enough space to sit maintaining social distancing. The washrooms were clean and tidy! (Of course). Given a chance I will definitely go back there, but I will wait for an event to take place there!
Nice place
Came to the convention centre for the taiwanese business chamber gala, and it was definitely a pleasant experience! The view is fantastic, room is spacious, and quality interiors design! When it comes to food and services, they are above the par! Would highly recommend any business who are looking to host 300+ people events at this amazing place!
Love walking around the convention centre and the coffee shop outside run by an Indian Family have the best coffee on the waterfront. Especially the chai tea latte. Very friendly service as well.
Spectacular waterfront view of harbor traffic
Great place for all the exhibitions
None of the parking machines accepted cash or any of my credit cards. I couldn't leave and was being charged $4 per half hour.
Went there for vaccination
Im glad that im already vaccinated,i feel safe and trusted moderna thank you so much for the help of people at the Vancouver Convention Center i really appreciated their service and support.
Came to see New year fireworks, and attended Concord New Year party, it's amazing!!70 CAD per person after tax is worth the money, the most wonderful experience ever! and the BEST part is the children under 7 years old is free!!My kids love love love it! The only downside is too many people, but still enjoy it very much!!!!
A great place to see boats, ships, helicopters, ferries and mountains.
I was there today for Michelangelo exhibition. Great location in downtown, connected to pan pacific hotel, great water view, underground parking and more!
The go-to place for conventions and exhibitions. It's also excellent for huge private functions.
I went down here to get vaccinated, everything is great but parking in cellar is expensive they charged me 8$ for half an hour.
The room under the sails has the most stunning ceiling!
I have attended so many events here over the past 10 years. I have the best memories of the Epic Expo that I was a volunteer for. The international wine festival is always one of the highlights of the year.
Very clean venue with some good history about the Olympics
Vancouver fall homeshow features a lot of the new technology in a the construction industry.
A great venue with much to visit and see. Built for Expo 1986, Canada, Place is an iconic Vancouver must see! ????
Got my vaccine today and they reimbursed our parking so I was super pleased with that.
The logistic for the vaccine was great, nice staff , the nurses always on top of peoples syntoms, everything was so fast. Thanks for sharing the place for this.
Attended TCC for second arrangement of the Covid19 immunization. I must say the phone people answered phones in less than 4 rings & answered every question I had. The Convention staff were professional & accomodating and made me feel comfortable & relaxed. Seemed more organized than the first round of immunizations and shots. Surprising this location was hardly very busy at all. Thank you to everyone at Trade & Convention Centre, good experience.
Beautiful views, amazing location! Negatives - no electrical outlets to charge phones. Vancouver needs to allow Uber into the city, real hassle to chase cabs because Canada is afraid of capitalism.
Will comeback next year! Great location great view great building!
for vaccine it's about an hour from arrival to departure including 15 min wait at the end
Great for any event, conference, or the kick off to your next cruise! The Vancouver Convention Centre is constantly striving to be the best destination for your event. They have a variety of room-sizes and can any size of event, be it big or small. There are a variety of food options available, whether you are visiting or working. The views of the harbour and mountains are stunning! Located close by is Waterfront station, where you can access the Sky Train or the Sea Bus to get you over to North Vancouver. Be sure to spend a few minutes staring off into the ocean and mountains and take in all of the beauty that is Vancouver.
It’s a very nice view you can get here but very annoyed of the pollution from the tourist water planes that take off. 9/10 times I go walk here I can smell airplane fuel and it’s giving me cancer.
The outside view of the harbor is breathtaking.
Awesome place!
This is such a classy place. Always has some interesting trade shows and events going on. The place is massive too and right by the water.
Went here to get a covid-19 vaccination with family members. I have been able to many events here. A great multi-purpose facility.
Best convention center I have ever been at. It is new, enormous, good sound system, excellent restrooms, in the center of Vancouver, close to everthing you need, hotels, restaurants, bars, train stations, in the Bay of Vancouver.
Nice, clean and beautiful scenery
Visit to take a vaccine shot No notification for parking so I paid for other building. Faster than Coquitlam and bigger.
Nice place to visit and enjoy the weekend ????
This visit to the Vancouver Convention Centre was not to attend a function or any other social event. This time, it was to get vaccinated against Covid-19. I had heard from people that picked that location over others, that everything went well, and based on that positive feedback, when my time came to book an appointment via the City's online tool, I chose to go to the VCC. Before entering the building, you are greeted by very warm and friendly hosts and directed to a table where you will be asked to sanitize your hands and change your own face mask for one provided by the staff. After this, you will be asked to enter the main area where another member of their staff, will greet you and provide you with printed info that explains more about the vaccine, possible side effects, etc. Next stop is at a desk where you register, show your Care Card and you will be issued a card with pertinent info regarding date of 1st dose (keep this card in a safe place, you will need it for the 2nd dose). Lastly, you go to a cue and in a matter of minutes you are sitting in front of a nurse that will ask you a couple of questions, confirm that you want a vaccine, and before you know it the process is done. For safety purposes, you sit down for 15 minutes, at the end of this, you are good to go. The whole process took aprox. 10 minutes. Quick, efficient, friendly, I was really impressed with how the City is handling this. A big thank you to all the people working at the Vancouver Convention Centre, every single one of you were amazing!
Came here for the Annual Circle Craft Christmas fair. Everything is sold here are made by the artists and artisans. You can find jewelry, chocolate, clothes, spices, toys, pottery, honey, soap and novelty items. Quality is good and you are helping creative people from all across Canada. Coming here has become a yearly ritual to get ready for Christmas.
Great place for a conference. Views overlooking the harbor are fantastic! I could watch the sea planes and boats come in all day.
Came for my vaccine and this is amazingly well organized and the convention is such a beautiful place to wait the 15 mins ????
They were very organized for the COVID vaccinations. Thumbs up to all that made this happen.
I got my second dose of vaccine today at vancouver convention
Always love attending events here, great staff great location and many restaurants near by if the event doesn’t cater.
Very Well Organized Vaccination Venue
Most of the big indoor events are here like vaccination, exhibitions etc.. Pretty large and nice customer service..
Attended a great arts festival here. Seemed like a lovely venue with lots of possibilities. Can't beat the location.
Nice open environment that is good for a variety of events. Nice large windows keep lots of natural light in the rooms. However, it can be difficult to find ones way around so plan accordingly!
I got my second vaccination. Great views. Nice place to take pictures.
The best thing about this place is there's always some sort of event going on here.
Hands down the best place for large weddings in Vancouver! We have photographed a few weddings at the Convention Centre and always love the great location with city, ocean and mountain views!
A amazing place that holds the Cruise Ship Terminal, World Trade Center, Pan Pacific Hotel and Fly Over Canada theatre. It is also the start of a Beautiful 32km Ocean Front Walkway / Bicycle Path around Vancouver and Stanley Park
I walked in with my wife a day after my conference ended to go to a restaurant I enjoyed earlier in the week. We were met by a security guard who walked up and put her hand in my face and immediately told us that we were trespassing. I told her we were going to a restaurant in there and their website says it's open. All she did was point to the door and say "sir, the building is closed, I'm going to have to ask you to leave". No direction, no help, no explanation. Fine, you lost my business.
Love coming here for the beautiful views and the fun lunch places. Seawall walks and wild life abundance. A favourite place of mine. Great art installations as well.
beautiful scenery and fantastic walk. closed do to covid
It is good for chilling out and taking good pics. It is brilliant mate!
Amazing but so expensive
I was there before sunrise and the scene was awesome!
The Vancouver Convention Centre is an awesome spot. If you are visiting the city make sure you check it out. The views of the sea and across onto the North shore are spectacular. If its a rainy day you can view from inside or go up the Pan Pacific and have a drink with a beautiful view. Walk around and explore the building its quite gorgeous
The site worked well for a vaccination centre, although it was weird to be inside with so many people... Even if masked!
Conference center, beautiful view from top floor.
I came here for booster shot. There was a huge crowd. I'm guessing it was because of the weekend. Staff is very friendly and organized. Even though there was huge queue, it was very well managed.
Awesome convention center at awesome place.
Very well sustainably built. Hosting very major events including technology related, culture related, press related events, and more. Right at waterfront, looking at beautiful sea views.
Beautiful landscapes you can see from the pier, I side the convention center large spaces and some tribal art in the lobby. Can't miss it!
I give it a 5 star for location and building. However, whenever attending conferences we are always met by miserable female security staff that take their jobs way too seriously. Perhaps it would be a good idea to run a course with them on people skills. Smiling and being approachable is key. Many people visit from all over and this type of negative behavior will deter them from wanting to return. 1 star for them! I will not attend anymore conferences there for that reason solely. I prefer to be in a more positive and welcoming environment. As I read other comments, I see I am not the only one that feels this way.
Most beautiful place on earth. ????
Amazing place! They are giving 5G for free. No need for Phones direct connection with your blood cells! Highly recommended!
Clean and not crowded. Easy to find parking
I went there to get my covid-19 vaccine in June 2021. The whole process was extremely well organized. You have several steps for checking in but they all run smoothly and by the time I went there was a minimal line. Even though the place is huge you won't get lost as there are many people showing you where to go. And when you're done you get to enjoy the wonderful views.
The Van gogh show was unforgettable. Great!!
Interesting place to visit, some cool stuff downstairs between the new and the old convention building about the Olympics and History of the city.
Got my booster shot here. So crowded Had to wait for 1.5 hours in total, my slot was 10am. When I left I saw the line increased by twice.. go earlier. You are given the choice of either vaccines. You'll be asked to wear their mask. Either over your old one or just itself.
Easy to get around, ample washroom availability and gorgeous views!!
Very nice place The parking is expensive
The staff were incredibly helpful throughout our function. Their food was very good and the service really raised the bar. Great design of a building and the views. Wow. This photo was taken from the loading docks!
Not too crowded, sanitation areas everywhere, lovely displays
Convention centre building with very good views across the water. Spacious and reasonably well equipped. Has hosted SIGGRAPH well several times.
Such a big and nice place. Went to the aritzia warehouse sale and it was complete madness. Girls were throwing clothes everywhere and grabbing stuff from each other. Dragging bags filled of clothes on the floor and others tripping over it. 5/5 was really amusing to watch.
This place is amazing, view surrounding & location. Keep it up. ????
Fantastic place to be and enjoy Coal Harbour, Vancouver BC! Excellent facilities! Very good service and attentions staff! Night recommend! Incredible views of Coal Harbour!
I visited the centre in the account of an open source summit. Amazing place it was. You can find lot of adventures activities near by the convention centre such as whale watching and flight ride.
Came here for the dental conference. It's a beautiful venue with the most gorgeous view of the mountains. Do bring comfortable shoes as you do need to walk on carpet and it gets tiring very quickly if you're in heels.
Huge conference hall venue with lots of large exhibition spaces. There are also break out rooms upstairs which also double up as large lecture theatres but as they are flat it's less ideal. Beautiful views of the mountain as well as the harbour + cruiseliner also dock in here. Quite an active square and close to all the shops or decent selection of restaurants if you venture off just 5 minutes from here.
Very good place to host you r events well organized
For imagine Picasso, It is very difficult to find the entrance. You can find the entrance if you come to the place marked with that sign as shown in the picture and go inside. Finally, I bought some items at the store, and when I tried to exchange the picture for another picture of the same shape, the staff said no. ????????????????? And The artist guide is only in French. Many parts are still sloppy. After seeing the Van Gogh exhibition for the second time, I expected it to be better. But no, it seems to have been copied. Let's listen to our customers
Very nice place . I visited this place for vaccination . A cool and supportive environment. Responsible staff and caring atmosphere.
Came here to attend Anime Revolution 2019. Really good venue for an anime con. Lots of panel rooms and open space. Main event room is nice and big.
Walking around the waterfront area near the Vancouver Convention Centre gives you a beautiful vista of the ocean and mountains as well as the seaplanes that come and go. It has many little shops and proves an exploration area of adventure and fun as it is so big.????????
Great building, great staff, very professional
Nice and clean, good for fairs and concerts.
A must see place if you are in Vancouver
Beautiful convention center outside and inside. Variety size of meeting rooms. They also have a small coffee shop inside for quick bites. Don’t forget to spend time walking around this area.
This is one of Vancouvers most interesting structures. They had to extend land to build it over the water. Great restaurants around the exterior and you can watch the float planes land and take off for free.
Great place for Booster jab????
While I am giving 5 stars to Vancouver Convention Centre, I agree that the parking situation was abysmal, especially during the pandemic when people are not travelling as much, do they really need to charge 8 dollars for just over 30 minutes on people who are literally there to get vaccinated and get the heck out of there? I know VCC is probably bleeding money like crazy like other businesses but they really should look into reimbursing parking for those who are there to get vaccinated. Again, I know this is the WestPark guys' doing and not VCC, but please consider this.
So today I went to the Vancouver convention center and had my first dose of the vaccine they were very professional and organized I was quite nervous when I first went but they make you feel very comfortable and everything is fine the setup at the convention center was done very orderly and covid safety they did a great job get vaccinated everybody cheers
For Covid vaccinations: Extremely well organized and efficient. I got my first shot at the convention centre today and I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly the whole process went. There are many workers in every area to direct you through the lines. I recommend booking your vaccine here if you’re still thinking about where to go. Edit: went back for shot #2 and booster at the same location. Things were smooth every time!
Limited parking in the area, and lots of one-way streets. Consider parking a few blocks away and taking SkyTrain 1 stop to waterfront...
Got vaccine here recently and given how spacious it is, makes it very easy to stay 2m from others. Beautiful views as well which is an added bonus
Big and easy to get to - lots of facilities and a million dollar view. Imagine enjoying a trip to a convention centre??? - that's VCC.
There to get the vaccine. Very efficient, in and out in 20 minutes.
Quite big establishment. Rooms come in all sizes. Snacks available inside. Lots of restaurants around. City tour buses, free shuttle to various places, boat tours, sea plane tours start from here. Bike rental shops available.
Beautiful vistas
Beautiful architecture - inside and out. Views of Coal Harbour, Stanley Park and the mountains of the North Shore. Worth a visit if you are in the area. The Van Gogh exhibit was on when I went - spectacular!
Great place for events and conferences - ballroom D has a gorgeous view!
Got the booster shot showed up early wasn't an issue and the line moved very quickly i was in and out in 30 minutes around noon i was very impressed
I attended the North Shore 'Round Up' at the convention center Friday past and had a great experience. The staff , coordinators that run the center do a helluva good job. 5 stars all day long!
Great place, well organized exhibitions during pandemic. Just a bad t too small for exhibiting Imagine.Van.Gogh.
Best place in British Columbia.
I wish convention centers we do events in would learn from the VCC. they actually have staff and security around the clock. Their staff was so fast at removing trash, they are friendly, and looked like they enjoy their job. The views are great and the building is very convenient. Instead of one floor plan spanning across blocks of land, they have intelligently engineered this facility. The escalators are conveniently located in the middle, so you don't have to walk from one side of the building to the other continuously. I was very pleased!
This place has an insanely beautiful view and is a vey good place to go visit. And about getting vaccines here, it's a very nice and healthy place to get your covid-19 vaccine.
The 42nd Vancouver International Wine Fest (VIWF) is taking place this weekend. The featured country is France. Along with the rest of the world and some very fine wines and some great munchies are here at the Vancouver Convention Center. This is your chance to come out and try some very special, only here and now, wines. There are some exquisite Champagnes being poured as well. If you have not had a chance to try any of the famous Champagnes such as Piper-Heidsieck, Taittinger and others. This is the place to try several of these varieties all in one place. Check out the wines from Croatia, Romania, Uruguay. And the famous wineries from Italy, Spain, Portugal, Australia, Chile, Argentina, USA and of course Canada are here as well show cases their special not available in B.C. products!! Please give me a like and have a fabulous day too !!
The views are spectacular. You can go for lovely walks, great dining options around
Just like to defend the most recent negative review concerning female security staff. I speak from personal experience I endured at the Vancouver Convention Centre. Unfortunately the security there is at the bottom of the Totem Pole and get blamed, summoned for everything under the sun when things go wrong. They have a very " thankless job", low wages, are in the front lines, and are always expected to perform miracles, predict the weather, and possess Supernatural skills to impress, and bow down to anything that moves. I can honestly tell you they do their absolute best, and are the real heroes in securing the building 24/7, and meeting , and greeting customers, employee's and so on and so forth, ensuring events go as humanly smooth as possible. From back of house to front of house they are the true humble, noble, selfless " Warriors " and go above and beyond on a regular basis. They do their best, and are always expected to put on a spotless , stainless Happy Face , even when under enormous pressures, shameful attitudes, and stresses. Also remember they do all of this with poor wages, no benefits, and no job security, and are almost always the fall guys, buffer zone for every mistake other's make from numerous departments day in and day out. I can also tell you the beautiful lady security officers rock , and the men as well and everyone works together from all cultures, backgrounds for a common goal. They do it all, and all for you with class! I wonder how much more they could accomplish with better wages , treatment, respect, and genuine gratitude?
I’ve come here many times over the years and I’ve attended several cool events like the Auto Show, Comic-Con, The Plant-Show, etc. Every event was fun and well worth a visit. Ultimately the lay out of the convention centre is user friendly and there is nearby parking, which is an added bonus. The centre is also close to many great hotels and restaurants. Certainly worth a visit.
Was happy to get a Moderna booster shot.... line up looks like it will take 3 hours but it's about 1/3 of that so get your booster and maybe soon life can move on....the anti vax folks are dying off slowly anyway.
Great place to have lunch and relax.
Just got my Covid 19 shot here. Didn't see anything, nothing to review.
Best covid 19 vaccination I've ever had.
Got my Covid 19 vaccine today. Yes.
Had my 2nd vaccine dose today. Terrific organization. Hundreds of people there. Went so smoothly.
I've got my vaccine here, very organized. I wish I asked the lady who has done my vaccination. I appreciate her sense of humor. Thank you all for your hard work.
Big beautiful building tons to off needs more live music outside/ live art pieces to interact with outside.
Successful received not one, but TWO vaccines.
We attended a convention there and found it to a fantastic location for one. Staff were very nice. Also it is nice to have so many other things so close by to enjoy
Beautiful building. The craftsmanship that went into this building deserves a visit. Perfect for conventions . Shows. Nothing to big for this place.rooftop all planted in greenery
Not to difficult finding rooms. Washrooms could be cleaner. Nice views.
Beautiful and amazing experience but it was very expensive for what it was a white room with some projected art , I paid 19 € to go see the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam which was his real art which was about half what I paid to see a photo projection screen . Cool to see and take photos but in reality it’s a very low value for money
A architectural beauty! If you get a chance, on a clear and sunny day, go to the 2nd or 3rd floor, up the escalotors to the end of building where the glass windows are. You will enjoy one of the best harbour views in the city. Watch water planes takeoff and land all day long. Side note: Be mindful of East and West building if attending an event. They are on different sides. 5 min walk between.
Great conference center
Went to see Imagine Picasso. Convention centre is great, lots of event s get held here. Circle craft is back for 2021 too. Enjoy
One of the best convention centers I’ve ever been to. This sentence should sum up everything. If you’re there you should not miss other locations around this convention center all at walking distances.
Spectacular location, beautiful property. Perfect venue for the Auto Show. Good food vendors to boot!!!
I went to get my second shot there. It's very well organized, considering how many people was there.
We have convention here, but the venue is not likeable, one level acoustic not to good, nonetheless Love Never Fails is another great spiritual feast
Great Space, great show. Much enjoyed it.
This building is beautiful and worth exploring especially where are no events being hosted. Spectacular north views from 3rd floor decks located at the back of the facility.
Beautiful and convenient downtown location caters to various sized events. The original East building is at Canada Place and the newer West building is just steps to the west. Staff organize events professionally. SkyTrain accessible. On site paid parking. #letsguide #vancouver
It's a tiny little needle like a Flu Shot is. Not a long needle like they show on the Media. It's like a Mosquito Bite.
Have gone to several conventions here and they were all run very well. Staff is very clear on where to go and how to get in, convention floor and halls are also very clean and well put together. Not to mention the view is fantastic. The convention floor is also very well optimized.
fantastic beautiful place for expos and conventions, went to the BMO marathon expo this month, very large area with tons of exhibitors, really enjoyed the event and washrooms are very clean, the layout isnt confusing at all, feels like a mini airport, overall 10/10
Nice little part of Vancouver that we walked to. There are some vendors and random activities in the area but if that’s shut down because of COVID you can at least go here for the sick views like the one I captured in my picture. Warning though it’s a pretty big area.
This should definitely be on your bucket list if you are visiting Vancouver. It's a lovely site and the best convention centre I've seen so far. It is quite big and beautiful. Infact, it is a must see!
Very organized and systematic. Nurses are very accomodating and you feel the TLC.
Came here for a wedding on long weekend. Super busy, because of multiple events. Food was okay, disappointed appies only went for one round. Hard to get servers attention, not their fault though. (Huge hall) Dessert was the best part of the evening! Lighting - was weird, so hard to take pictures at night with the dim lights.
Loads of parking & easy acces
Been here several times for various functions over the years, but most recently (today, in fact) I got my 2nd dose of the COVID-19 vaccine here. Nice place. Large. Very large.
I went here for a conference recently and I was pleasantly surprised. The building was very visibly pleasing and in a beautiful location overlooking the harbour. I would highly recommend going to a conference or event here if you get the chance.
Visited for the Vancouver International Auto Show. The 2017 show was good, but the 2018 show was gigantic and fantastic. They used the whole of this great facility, including the upstairs and downstairs. Really a great, well maintained facility for these types of events.
Doing set up for trade show staff controlling traffic were either incompetent or just lazy. Either way they wasted 30 min for unloading walking away and ignoring us, after saying they would be right back. Despite booking a loading bay spot. Front desk staff were helpful and pleasant just the gate bay staff need an attitude adjustment.
Large center to hold conventions, events... They are using it as a vaccination center currently
There is a east convention and a west convention. Both are perfect place for large conventions, office parties, and weddings. Conveniently located in downtown Vancouver facing the north shore mountains. Very accessible by public transportation (Skytrain, Seabus, buses, and taxi). Many downtown hotels are nearby and within walking distance. Many public parking garages are nearby but kind of pricey.
Gorgeous building and surrounding plaza on the water with views of downtown and the Marine building.
I got my vaccine and was in and out pretty quick
Worst pet store I've ever been to.
This place is amazing! I always manage to get lost finding this place but then the stunning view and amazing city people help me along the way.
AMAZING BEAUTIFUL BY THE SEA. THEY ARE ADMINISTERING COVID VACCINATIONS. IF YOU REGISTER, THEY WILL SET AN APPOINTMENT.
Went here for my booster shot, same place I've been to for my first 2 shots against the Covid-19 virus.
Only there for a second dose, but the process was very efficient! Wonderful to see the repurposing of tourism personnel for this.
Can’t beat this beautiful new convention center. West Coast feel, great views. Big ball rooms. Lots of space for large or small events. The wood walls are a very nice touch.
You know, for a big convention centre, it’s really well laid out. Easy to get around, find stuff, store stuff, host events, attend conventions... so it really is good at what it is... Kudos to you VCC!
I went there for an international college affair. The view was absolutely breathtaking and the place was vastly big!
Vancouver Convention Centre. Convention Center in Vancouver, British Columbia · 1055 Canada Place. The award winning Vancouver Convention Centre is recognized as one of the leading convention centres in the world. The facility attracts 300+ events annually
Awesome place to go for a walk! Finally shops are opened up there! Good to see! Hopefully stays like this!
Cold windy
This large convention Center is in a beautiful location in the city. It hosts so many major events and conventions. Lots of parking underneath, and restaurants, including cactus club. Wonderful views of the water and mountains.
I went there for vaccination qnd it is good to reach there 15 mints before ur appointment
Van gogh exhibition is just unforgettable. Walking through those magnificent paintings is something that I will never forget
Everything smooth and organize in taking the vaccine, well done...
Beautiful building! Be aware of the Delane' Canada store on the cruise ship side of the building will RIP you off. I was told my item was $10 USD, merchant swiped my card for $100 USD. I was still in the store when I noticed their error and they quickly pointed to their No refunds sign.. this was their error and they refused to correct it. They stole my money! Frauds!
I got my modern covid shot here today. Well run operation!
Convention Centre is well lit and generally well staffed. Came for the fanexpo and was treated well by all convention centre employees. One gripe was the entrance was placed at the far end of the pier and so costumed attendees were forced to go quite far in the November cold air! Parking is very convenient with a reasonable rate considering the location.
I was here for IADR 2019 Symposium and definitely it’s a great place for meeting.
A wonderful place that I ever seen before ???????????? Really a nice and peaceful place.. Like, the people, the roads, the states, the communications, And all of the things is very good But I don't see anything in my eyes,???? Just see in many videos and pictures which is in the social media and internet.???? I wish if have a chances to get me in here. Or anyone get me to visit with him I will be waiting for that???? Thank you for your time to read my pleasure ❤️ Take love from my hard ???????????? Stay blessed ????
The view and food are excellent, but we can't get past the horrible service. There were two choices on the menu between beef and sablefish, a few guests at the table had dietary issues where they can't have beef, so we had told our server who was kind and made note of it. When the meals came out, another server came with her to set the plates. The other server had instructed all plates to be put down by alternating the beef and fish around the table. When our server had voiced the dietary concerns, the other person had simply said to place them all down anyways and let them sort it out or exchange. Luckily everyone at the table was very accommodating in switching, not wanting to cause a scene, but this is very disappointing. Dietary concerns should not be taken lightly and if there were more complications that would've cause an issue, things would've gotten very serious. On top of this, there was only one refill of drinks for the whole night since guests have been seated from the beginning. This has been the worst catering service so far for the functions we had attended in the past two years.
Large well designed convention centre able to accommodate almost any event. Very comfortable to be in and with an abundance of fantastic food around.
Was here for my Covid-19 Vaccination. I was reminded of pictures of the polio vaccination effort. I hope we are as successful with this effort as we were with that one.
This Vancouver convention center is right by the Vancouver Harbor. You have a great new from inside and outside alike. I especially love the night view. If you in the Canada Place or at the Stanley Park, and when the lights are up, you will have a marvelous picture of this convention center. The Olympic torch is next to the center. Great place for conferences and tour. Restaurants are close.
This is a world class convention center, I have been to quite a few events held here over the years. Staff is always friendly and helpful. The building itself is always immaculate and honestly holds some of, if not, the best views of any other convention center I have been to.
It operates now as vaccination center. Very organized entrance n exit and not too crowded.
Imagine Van Gogh - Digital art show So much impressed !!
Watch Beautiful views from here. Good for photos
Staff noticed I was using crutches and offered me a wheelchair. It made my experience in the exposition a LOT better. Much appreciated
Had a grand time getting vaccinated. Very organized and professional setup with lots of space and the staff are wonderful
My husband and I had our first dose of the covid vaccine here and all the nurses were wonderful and took great care of us. 10/10 for their professionnalism, warmth and empathy. It was the perfect building to host such a setup!
Always a pleasure to assist alongside Premier Clark as asked regarding the reconciliation process of our beloved Native Heritage here in British Columbia
Its the venue to most of Vancouvers biggest events including home and reno shows, trade shows, conferences. Been coming for shows here for 4 years and the staff is extremely helpful. Never had any issue with any set ups or tear downs. Everything flows very smoothly. Easily accessible and parking underground is decent compared to many other spots in downtown Vancouver.
Went and got my first Covid-19 vaccine shot.
Best place impressed me, enjoyed every minute being over there. Mountains are so beautiful ocean smell is magnificent.
Zenith of fresh air region . Would help you chill out from the daily hustle and bustle of work life.
This place is huge. The structure and interior are well designed and the view... Wow.... It's fabulous.... The place was almost crowded on a weekday but enjoyable. If you a new to Vancouver it a must place to visit. The reason for my visit was to get my vaccination.
I've been at a conference bringing all together approx. 15000 people from all over the world. The meetings took place in both, East and West building, which are next to each other. This makes it easy to move quickly around. As a bonus, you get one of the most beautiful scenery in Vancouver.
I was here to get my vaccine which was super efficient. It was a big wide room and a very comfortable template. Since it was just to get the vaccine I don't have much to say. The views outside were beautiful as always.
Got vaccinated here. 10/10. Would recommend
Was at a conference and got to see both convention centers. Bathrooms were always tidy and not low on any items. Very clean. Views from the conference center are beautiful.
The sea view from the centre is just amazing.
It's okay tourist trap, and right now dispensing covid-19 shots
We had a nice openstack summit !
Clean and large facility. Beautiful building
The vancouver convention center is stunning; it is on the dock of the bay and surrounded by a panoramic view of vancouver and its beautiful old boats and flyplances. the center is so modern and has a great upstairs dinning hall for events that lets guests feast on food and the view. everyone at our event loved it being held in the center. world class. great neighborhood around the area too.
We were there twice during the public hours. The first time we were there on a Friday late afternoon and we were told by a gentleman at the entrance that the building was closed for an event. The second time we were there on a Friday early afternoon and we were told by another gentleman at the escalator on the ground floor that the building was closed for an event. Is the building closed for the public during the public hours when there is an event? Would the building be opened for events after 5pm? We were near the Centre and there were many people who entered the building. We thought the building was opened to the public due to the lack of staff by the entrance. We went in and reached the second floor. A woman by the escalator on the second floor, who was clearly annoyed and sounded irritated, told us that only members of the seminar can proceed and she asked us if we registered and if we have a name tag. However, we saw many others without a name tag who proceeded to the third floor. If there was someone at the entrance who could have informed us of the building closure then we would not have walked in and felt embarrassed. I visited the Centre's website later and saw that there was no event on that day listed under the "Events" section. Why were we told that the building was closed for an event? And why was the building populated when there was no event listed? I called the Centre the next day and the receptionist said he would transfer my call to the manager. The manager kept interrupting me. He cut me off the phone when I tried to speak. So we tried to find someone who we could talk to. When I looked at the list of contact info. under "Our Team" on the website, the name of the manager who I had talked to on the phone was not on the list. So who did the receptionist transfer my call to? I tried to call another manager two days later and my call went to his voicemail which was a Chinese woman speaking Mandarin. I was surprised. Does that mean the contact info. of "Our Team" on the website is incorrect? Then I emailed to the GM and the CEO but I could not reach them. The fact that I could not reach any of the staff by phone or by email indicates that there is something wrong with the staff.
Helpful staff, not enough cash accepting meters though they mostly take credit cards
