Great place
I've been needing a massage for a long time time due to my work. I came in with neck and back issues and his technique and deep tissue massage made all the difference. The massage was very much needed. I didn’t realize how tight my body was until the session was over. Ferdinand did a very good job. I feel great.
Very happy, with the massage.
The team at VCMT provides an excellent massage experience - the students are expert in their work, very professional, and appropriately supervised by seasoned practitioners. Highly recommend.
Wonderful experience - the student that gave me the massage was great!
Fantastic service and the students are well trained and professional. Since the 75 minute session includes an initial consultation and post consultation, the only thing I wished is that it went for longer!
Excellent experience at a great price! Highly recommend
Excellent massages for a great price. I always go for the advanced therapeutic massages. Reminder that it is a school so you get apprx 45 min massage though you are there for 1hr 15 min
I've had a great experience at VCMT. I always book with Arra and she's really great at making me feel comfortable, listening to what I need, and explaining everything she's doing to me. The prices are super good as well!
Great quality and value of massage. Melissa was warm, accommodating, and very professional. After the intake (which took about 15-20 mins) the massage took about an hour. In the end she showed me simple stretches and shared tips on how to possibly alleviate my lower back pain. I left feeling great and looking forward to doing the stretches at home. Would definitely recommend this place if you'd like a great massage at a very affordable price.
As a former student here and current RMT, VCMT has taught and given me the tools to succeed in my new field. From the owner to the instructor and everyone in between, I have experienced amazing communication, goal setting and was given a clear direction to create my own success. I can't imagine a school that puts their students first, and business second. It's of course a fine line between the two, but I always knew where I stood with the team of educators at this facility. Keep up the great work VCMT!!!
I had very pleasant experience. My massage therapist was Bronwyn Almasi and she did fantastic job. She addressed all my pain points (literally) and I felt so much better after my session. I am sure all students are great as Bronwyn. Definitely coming back ❤️
Vcmt has a great environment. I definitely forgot that it was a learning environment for a second. The students ask me really good questions in order to determine how to treat me. I appreciate the follow up emails and I get better results here then some clinics I’ve been too. The only that sucks is the students keep graduating, so every few monthsI have to learn some new names. You definitely get value and satisfaction here.
I recommend if you don't have extended benefits or used up your benefits and still need a massage. They do a great job and seem to want to succeed in doing what they learned. I liked my session and feel very relaxed. Will come here again!
How does one find the words to describe an experience that is so incredibly positive? From the administration team to the knowledgeable instructors, Vancouver College of Massage Therapy has added a layer of professionalism to the educational scene that is long overdue in the Vancouver area. From my first visit, the friendly faces in the front office put my nervousness aside and the smiles of the students told me that something very 'right' was happening there. I was particularly surprised to find that they had a scholarship program in place. Again, thank you #VCMT for changing lives.
Overall, all of the students that have treated me have been wonderful - great attitudes, attention to care, and treatment. Good value for the length and quality of the treatment. However, recent interactions have been rather disappointing and below my expectations in terms of communicating with me as a client. Changes that could have been passed along much earlier were, let's just say, extremely last minute. If you're simply looking for great value and decent treatment, go for it, but if possible, I'd recommend sticking to your regular RMT for a consistent overall experience.

Great experince for my 2 boys and myself! We are a very athletic family and found our first 3 treatments at Vancouver College of Massage Therapy to be very affective. Both boys aged 8 @ 11 are constantly asking me to take them back! I truly recommend VCMT to everyone!
They are good but not approved by medical insurance company
New reception staff make getting appointments easy and effortless.
Very professional, clean and great service. The cost is affordable. I normally book with an advanced student. They have more practice and technique down pat. I will tell all friends and family that this is the place to go. I go weekly. I give it top stars. Also, people who give bad reviews have to remember they are students learning.. Why give this college low grade? They are doing their best during Covid times.. As Dr. Bonnie Henry be nice and be kind .......
Amazing service..they all try to give the best result.
VCMT is amazing! I have always had a good experience here. I attend on a weekly basis. Their online booking system is very easy to use, and reception is always helpful when I need to talk to someone in person. My massage therapist Dong Soo is extremely knowledgeable. When I see him I feel like my concerns are acknowledged, information is given to me about my healthcare in a way that I understand, and the send home instructions are always useful. He also shows me how to perform the exercises in person so that I understand when I’m at home. I always feel listened to and never rushed through my appointments! Also, the massage itself is fantastic of course!!! We work on areas of pain and the treatment is targeted and effective! Highly recommend.
I have probably had 30 massages over the past few years from the more advanced students. They are enthusiastic, working with you to heal aching body parts. Thanks to them, I have enjoyed many pain-free days. thanks
Exceptional experience, they did a great job. A tidy place with nice relaxing music, staff know what they are doing and you won't waste a minute waiting in line. The session was exactly what I needed, will definitely come back.
I have book appointment with Kevin Zhang, he is so professional and knowledgeable , my pain has released, I will absolutely recommend him!
Great therapeutic massage from Cedar Bridgewood today. Cedar listens, takes careful notes and then treats exactly as we decide together. He checks in throughout the massage for pain or other reactions and proceeds accordingly.
Nice, welcoming office space and staff. Professionally run. Highly recommended.
Go see Eliott before he graduates! He is personable, professional and very good at what he does. I’ve been to many dozen RMTs and Elliot’s skills already surpass many with years of experience.
They are very professional and Derek Speers was very kind, helpful and an excellent masseuse. Gave me some great tips for stretches and exercises to do at home to helo my shoulders and back. I definitely recommend Derek to anyone. I will be going back:)
Professional and clean with well educated students.
I was referred to VCMT by someone who strongly recommended I book a session with Kim Taylor for a massage treatment for my very long suffering back and neck tension. Oh my word! This was without question the most beneficial massage therapy I have ever had. Kim thoroughly check my posture and made a full enquiry of my lifestyle, sleep habits and history before beginning the very targeted and super onpoint treatment. She knew exactly which were the culprit muscles and I could literally feel the knots and tension melt away under her expert hands. The relief was immediately obvious to me after the massage and with her tips on stretches and posture, I was able to benefit from her post treatment advice afterwards. I would very highy recommend Kim as she is already a true professional in my view and clearly very passionate about her work and healing people through her massage treatments. I was only on Vancouver temporarily but will absolutely contact Kim the minute I am able to return! Do yourself a massive favour and book with Kim Taylor. You'll be super grateful to yourself that you did!
I’ve been coming here for almost two years. Wonderful relaxing and therapeutic massages. Excellent value from attentive, skilled students. This is my go to place! Book online or by phone. Safety COVID protocols in place.
I go for RMT massages for over 10+ years from different RMT in this city. At this clinic, I’ve been seeing Brendan Lattimer for a few months now and he is great! He is very professional and delivers great treatment. I would say that I’ve received better treatments from him than some of the RMT out there, and he is not even RMT yet!
Very relaxing session. I enjoyed having Brandon N. as my masseuse, very professional and firm with his technique. Hope to go again soon!
The best massage therapy place. All students are very prepare and organize. I'd had many appointments and always has been very nice and relaxing. Price and quality match!
Excellent clinic for massage therapy. Atmosphere is professional + focuses on client relaxation. Stella is my therapist, she's always friendly, kind knowledgeable about the practice and focused. Highly recommend.
From the front desk on, my experience at VCMT is top-notch. I have attended many alternate health clinics & VCMT rates second to none. I like how Darek Stiller takes a keen interest in my unique accident & surgery-related concerns & goes above and beyond to research therapies for me. His quest for further knowledge & lifelong learning has been of great benefit to what ails me.
After being out of formal education for 23 years I entered the Massage Therapy Full time program in 2011. It was a tough program but the instructors, staff and administration really show that they care everyday. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who is looking into a career in Massage Therapy.
Great value and lovely experience! I’ve been seeing Jake Ross since January, he’s super friendly and always impresses me with his knowledge and skill. I come every few weeks to get him to fix any tensions or pains I get from working on my feet and he nails it every time. I love that they also give helpful home care tips and exercises after the treatment. Staff and reception are awesome as well, I went to get a gift card there and the receptionist went through the trouble of contacting her superior when he wasn’t in the clinic to help me get it on time. Highly recommend, can’t beat the price for what you get here!
I had the pleasure meeting with Emily! She is so patient, caring, really good with clients, and is an amazing massage therapist. Until next week when i am coming for my second session, thank you so much ????
Could not be happier with how everything is run here; booking is simple and reliable. And my go-to therapist Felicia is professional, knowledgable, and friendly.
Being a student at VCMT gave me the insight on how hard all the administrative staffs work to keep the school running so all you need to worry about is to show up to school and study hard! And the instructors and clinic/outreach supervisors are so dedicated to their jobs that they truly want you to success and they take pride of their professions. The school has a really good structure on preparing you to be an entry level RMT and I wouldn't choose any other school.
The student who massaged me was professional, friendly, and did an excellent job relieving my lower back pain. She gave me a few stretches to work on at him. Will definitely be back.
The experience was amazing. All the workers are super professional and the cost was way better than reasonable. Ill be booking another session very soon
Like massage
I had booked an appointment here with Nichelle, she was very polite and professional. The spa music made for a very calming atmosphere. The massage was very relaxing and stress relieving and the techniques used helped loosen up my traps and neck. I would definitely recommend others book with her or any other of the skilled students here.
Students are equip with knowledge to help us with our concerns. They are all friendly and approachable as well.
Only good things to say about the entire VCMT experience - I've was treated by Jillian Peacock for about dozen sessions and saw dramatic results after a variety of techniques were used on the trigger points and on those angry muscle groups... thanks!
Great value and service! Was very pleased with my massage and would highly recommend.
I had very bad experience with the management, in particular the owner of the college. Many times they don't return calls as promised when I complained about issues. When I finally got to talk to the owner, she was always unreasonable, not listening and refused to resolve my issues without good explanation. My final straw was they dishonoured their promise on charge rate to both myself and their students (back and forth 3 times) without any reasons. I won't step into the college anymore.
Great place to get a message for a good value. If you are looking for the typical spa setting don't, but if you don't mind a school type of setting then I suggest you try it out.
I’ve been treated at VCMT several times and found the students and instructors to be professional and skilled. I experienced significant improvement following my visits. I would highly recommend their services to anyone - value for price is off the charts.
I've been seeing Mavio Wiebe for 4 sessions and he has done a fantastic job with a significant improvement on my lower back and calves , he is also very attentive and professional . I highly recommend Mavio in your next visit at VCMT
Audrey is a sweetheart and very knowledgeable in how to treat your aches and pains.
I've been seeking treatment from Brendan Lattimer for several months now. I started coming to see him at VCMT when my insurance for RMT massages ran out and he's been one of my best discoveries of this past year! Having received RMT treatment regularly for over a decade, I can confidently say that Brendan provides among the best treatments I've received from any therapist, including those who have worked in the industry for several years! This is just part of what I want to recognize, however. What really stands out for me and the numerous friends I've referred to him is his warmth and welcoming personality! Brendan exudes warmth and positivity and he immediately makes you feel comfortable from the moment he welcomes you into the clinic and subsequently conducts the pre-treatment assessment. He does this while remaining highly professional and focused, which I feel is admirable for anyone in this profession and particularly someone this early in his career. His treatment is outstanding and you can sense his passion for what he does and his curiosity to further enhance his learning (I've witnessed this both as a client when he's asking me questions pre and post treatment to gauge its effectiveness and also when supervisors have entered for check-ins and I've seen his inquisitive approach to their interaction to seek out feedback and recommendations for new techniques). I recently learned a friend had posted a review for Brendan here and, although I rarely post reviews, of any kind, I felt compelled to do the same to recognize Brendan and his exceptional treatment and positivity. He is on track to launch a very successful career as an RMT and my only hope is that I'll be able to continue to see him once he graduates from the VCMT program!
Probably one of the best of its kind. Great massages by hardworking students who are eager to learn and put their new found knowledge and experience to the test. Amazing work by Donna, Heather, Linnea, Maria. :) Looking forward to my next appointment. Always. :)
Excellent place to get great value massage treatments!
Matthew Valliere: Is a great RMT in the making. He is personable, professional and knowledgeable. Value driven treatments. Highly recommended!
I had a very bad back injury for months, I got 5 sessions with Jessee Peragine. After suffering for months. She basically healed my back completely, nothing else worked for me before including physiotherapy session. She is definitely the person you should see if you have a back problem.
there are much better choices of schools out there if you are interesred in the RMT program
great place to get a massage, you get a massage student to do it for one hour and it is cheap and if you go back many times they give you discounts. Can you ask for anything better. this place is one block away from Burrard sky train station, so transit friendly
Great opportunity to experience a full body massage with students of various levels of training at very reasonable prices. Downtown Vancouver central location and a very professional environment. The entire staff is professional and always friendly. Highly recommend Emily a last semester student who is petite in stature but full on in deep body massages.
Zachary is very good massage therapist,he like professional..very good in communication skills..and he has a very good pressure in treating hypertonic muscles. He is very knowledgeable on what he doing..Goodluck Zach!
They might be "students, " but, I took a chance; and, am so glad I did. I've been to "professionals," and even chiropractors for a damaged trapezius, neck/jaw issue; I'm pain free this morning, feel like I'm 2 inches taller...SLEPT LIKE A BABY! THANKYOU VCMT; Thankyou! THANKYOU! Matthew!
After reading the reviews, I was very optimistic about my massage and thrilled about the lower cost when I couldn't get in to see my regular RMT. Dutifully filled out my paperwork, referencing exact muscles that needed to be worked for a very specific shoulder issue I work on regularly with my regular RMT. The intermediate student was very friendly and I think she tried her best...unfortunately, I seems to have been a waste of time to fill out the paperwork because it didn't appear to be referenced at all. Even more unfortunately, the day after my massage, I am in significant pain and my shoulder is worse than it was before I went in. All in all, I think better for me to sit on a cancellation list for my regular RMT and pay the higher price.
I had 3 treatments by Brendan, the 1st he was a beginner, 2nd & 3rd a intermediate. He mentioned each muscle he was working on. Best massage's I've had. Now in Edmonton, waiting for my return for next treatment, this guy is going far in his profession. Didn't want to post this as he may be booked when I want or need another massage.
While the massage was good for Term 3, I was disappointed in the amount of time that I received. I am very experienced in student massage as I used to go to the massage therapy school in New West for about 4 years. At VCMT my assessment was 30 minutes, and my massage was approximately 30 minutes, with the rest of the time spent undressing and dressing, and a few minutes discussing an exercise to do at home. I'd love to try again, but am apprehensive of another 30 minute assessment each time I have a different student. And, yes, if you are looking for my name, I do use a different one online.
I had an appointment with Shayla. She is highly skilled, knowledgeable and passionate about her work. She is also very kind and sweet. Loved my experience!
Unprofessional staff to say the least. Made an appointment well in advanced to meet with the Admissions Advisor, David and he no shows...the front staff didn't even know what was going on...they didn't even apologize for wasting my time. Don't go to this school. There's definitely better options out there.
Highly recommended. Friendly staff at reception eased any uncertainty I may have had - everyone else who works there had a smile on their face. My massage therapist was extremely professional, listened to what I wanted and delivered one of the best massages I've had! Will definitely be returning in future!
Amazing service and really works to relieve your issues! Yuri was amazing, professional, made me feel comfortable and relieved so much of the back pain I was feeling. She even tried to extend my appointment as much as she could even though I was 20 mins late! Will definitely be booking a follow up appointment and making this my regular spot for massage services!
Vancouver College of Massage Therapy is an absolutely amazing school and clinic! I have known about the work they do for over four years and I have nothing but amazing things to say! The students, educators and administration team are comprised of a tremendous group of warm-hearted individuals who truly care about each patient's health and wellness needs. Whenever I enter the clinic doors I am welcomed with professionalism and kindness and can sense the bonds of friendship and support that is built among students. Not to mention, this school is filled with highly skilled practitioners and absolutely outstanding instructors who do their best to ensure that every patient is taken care of. VCMT serves as an example for all others and I would highly recommend it as a centre for education and also as a clinic to be treated in.
Update: After dealing with the below issue with VCMT and talking with the PCTIA, it was suggested that my other options were the small claims court and the Better Business Bureau. I filed a complaint with the BBB. The problem just escalated with false claims and events stated by VCMT. It is sad and it has been exhausting. At this point, my only intention is so that potential customers of VCMT take precautions when dealing with VCMT and I suggest making a paper trail with every interaction you have with them. I chose to register at VCMT because of their claims to treat their students holistically. I am a experienced counsellor, life coach, reiki master and massage practitioner who wanted additional massage experience. The word holistic is a priority and well known to me. Before starting school, the administration misrepresented the program's contract. To my dismay I signed the contract without fully understanding the stipulations despite numerous inquiries for clarification. Due to life events, I withdrew the day of orientation from the program. The school charged me $6056 without attending a single class. I was then lied to about the finances of my student loans by the school and neglected by the school's communication. The behavior of the institution conflicted with National Student Loans advisers so much that they had to contact the school for answers. Student Loans also advised me to contact PCTIA and report the school. I did this and I was advised by PCTIA to enter into the school's formal resolution policy. This policy required me to dispute with some members of the school. I had already disputed with members previously but continued on to lastly the owner of the school. By this time, I felt so misunderstood, mistreated, and ignored by VCMT that I met with the owner in person outside of the school. He heard me out and told me he would get back to me. I waited a week and a half with no response so I contacted him again. He responded by regurgitating the same misunderstanding all his other staff did. The only thing that mattered to the school was the money they took from me. VCMT made no acknowledgement of my mistreatment and took zero responsibility for my frustrations. I have never felt so belittled and uncared for. I am shocked that this school claims that they treat their students holistically.
Attended the introductory weekend workshop. Grace and the teaching assistants were amazing! So knowledgeable, patient, and kind. They really took the time to explain, provide constructive criticism, and create a safe space. Money very well spent and will definitely be exploring their part-time RMT program!
VCMT has given me a huge welcoming and I haven't even started the program yet. I am enrolled in the September intake and am anxious but very excited to be a part of what looks like a family (staff and students). I have had the opportunity to speak with many instructors and students and it really does reassure me that I have chosen the right school.
