Great staff, great service. I had to put my 20+ year old cat Sunshine down many years ago and it was very difficult. Their patience and understanding made a sad situation a lot easier for me. I still take my pets there, and to this day they still go above and beyond to care for customers and furry customers.

Took my chihuahua in for dental work and they were great with her. They did a great job, called the next day to make sure everything was good, and had her back for a quick check up. The doctor was very gentle with my dog, and explained everything very clearly. The nurses are super friendly and very knowledgeable. Glad that we picked here to take care of our girl.

I have had three dogs in the last seven year given to the help of Welland Animal Hospital.The first two were wonderfully looked after and lived much longer and happier lives. When it was time for them to go the attention was something to be proud of. The last is still with me. He does not need the attention the others did. They all have been older adopted dogs, but this current " friend" does not need the attention, but gets it anyhow. Like many things in Niagara , animals care is special, and the Welland Animal Hospital is at the top of the list.

My dog Bailey was not a patient when he passed at home. I had no idea what to do once he passed as his vet was so far away(moved here 2 years ago - I'm loyal to my people). I looked up the closest Animal Hospital and I got them. I called and asked if they had services for him even thought he was not a patient. To cut this short, they took me in with open arms. So helpful and caring even when I called multiple times after I left - I kept forgetting questions to ask. I wish I remember everyone's name I was dealing with because they were all so kind and handled the situation so gently. Moving forward, I will definitely be going back with my animals. I am on the older side for having my first dog, a German Shepherd mix. Asking around, a few friends mentioned Welland Animal Hospital as the place they take their pet. I gave them a try, this was back 10 1/2 years ago and would not trust anyone else with my girl. From the first time I opened the door, both Reba and myself liked what we saw, heard and smelled (which was a very mild antiseptic). The staff was excellent beyond anything I could hope for. The two Vets I found were extraordinary. Everyone by far surpassed my and Reba's expectations. In all these years I can not think of any time that I would not have given them a 5 out of 5 excellence grading. Thank You Welland Animal Hospital.

I have been depending on the veterinary care provided by the Welland Animal Hospital for 50 years now. I have regrettably said goodbye to retiring vets and staff and the new generations have earned my trust and respect. They know that for us, every problem with our furry children is critical in that moment, and that guiding the owner is almost as important as the quick professional help our pets get. Over the years they have helped me say goodbye to a lot of pets with compassion, a hug, and even an offer to drive me home when they didn't think I was ok to drive. They have also treated a lot of emergencies, such as bee bites on the eyes, a coyote attack on my dog, crying animals where I didn't know the reason for the pain, broken bones, diabetes, cancer, and the list goes on. That simple phone call got us help immediately. I get reminders for their routine inoculations and preventative treatments to keep my pets as healthy as I can. Over the years I have tried other vets recommended by friends, but always return to my safety zone with my vet. Trust is a wonderful thing and I thank all of the staff at the Welland Animal Hospital for caring for all of us.

Been going here for years for my little guy. Generally pretty friendly but prices are bit on the high end. There are different doctors everytime so it's bit inconsistent but the doctors are generally pretty good and quick with their test results. Overall, pretty happy to go here.

Our first experience with the Staff at the Welland Animal Hospital was six months after moving to Welland. We needed to find a veterinarian for our cat and called WAH. A couple of hours later we met with Dr Fidler and knew we had made the right choice. The care and compassion Dr Fidler and his Team showed was outstanding. We were also very impressed by his bedside manner when dealing with a couple of distraught pet parents. These Folks are special!

The staff here are seriously outstanding. The petly plan for puppies and kitties is a great affordable way to get all the mandatory things done without having to pay hundreds at once. Seriously a great Vet. Highly recommend to anyone with a pet. You guys have been so fantastic with both Luna and my previous dog. Luna and I will miss you dearly when we move out west this month. We hope to find a vet that is at least half as good as you guys. Thank you for always being so wonderful! My husband and I are fairly new to Welland. We brought our little Diva Todo to this Animal Hospital quite a few times. She always got the best care possible. The staff are wonderful and the Vets are great; very knowledgeable attentive and gentle with animals. Unfortunately, our little Diva passed on at 17 years of age. The Animal Hospital was very caring and kind. They sent us a beautiful card signed by the staff. We now have another dog; anyone with a dog can understand the heartbreak and loss of losing a pet. After an aweful experience at another vet who tried to charge me $2400 for (asymptomatic) heartworm treatment in my 1 year old puppy, I decided to get a second opinion at Welland Animal Hospital. Right from the beginning they showed so much love and compassion for my dog! Very straight up and honest with prices and treatment (approximately 1/3 of the previous quote). I couldn't be happier with the service I have received thus far! I had to leave my dog for the day at WAH and upon picking him up all the staff were eager to tell me how nice my puppy is (what a great feeling). They would all pet him and show him affection on his way out. This, in contrast to the other vet I was going to, where not a single staff showed my dog any affection. Just another sick dog to them. I am convinced there is no better animal hospital in the Niagara Region. I drive from Port Dalhousie because of how wonderful these people truly are!! Highly recommend!!!

We originally ended up at this location for a second opinion from our previous vet, who wanted to give a 14 year old dog surgery, which I thought there may be better options. Dr. Karner was amazing at offering alternatives that we followed through with and worked. The staff is so friendly, compassionate, professional and wonderful to deal with. Took my dog here with an ear infection. After receiving the medication the vet prescribed and using it for a week his ear got WORSE.. so i took him back and the vet had the nerve to tell me to keep using the same medication, he didn't try to provide an alternative or anything. I took him to another vet and they were like clearly he's allergic to ingredients in this prescription and prescribed something else. Within 2 days his ears were better and I've never gone back to Welland Animal Hospital, I don't know who's writing these reviews but my situation wasn't handled with the love and care I think all pet owners want and deserve. 0 stars

We recently lost our pup Pilgrim, who through the years had had many health issues - the staff at WAH always went above and beyond for us and looking after him during his many health issues/procedures, and on the day we said goodbye to our baby, their kindness, compassion and empathy made the most difficult day slightly more bearable. They continue to care for our other pets and we have had nothing but the best service, always. We are forever grateful to all the staff at WAH for the care they have always given to our animals (and to us) and highly recommend them! Get a second opinion if they suggest surgery especially torn ACL they tried giving my dogs 3 different surgeries and they didn't need any one of them. The torn ALC was a sprain and they tried getting me for about $6000 dollars. All I'm saying is get a second opinion might save you a lot of money.

We have been bringing both of our cats to Welland Animal hospital for 7+ years. They have been very helpful every time we have brought in the cats even for an emergency. Recently we had to bring our 3 legged cat in for surgery because he had a bump where his 4th leg is suppose to. The team here did an amazing job with the surgery and amazing support after the surgery, including when we found it the mass was cancerous. They gave us all available options that we had. I can honestly say I do not think I would trust my pets with any other vet then the team at the Welland Animal Hospital. Of course the best part of this review is that our 3 legged cat is doing fine post surgery and still with us.

Fletcher is always well taken care of when we bring him in. He is diabetic and would go in for the day for glucose curves then COVID hit. Dr. Karner recommended using the libre sensor on Fletcher during these difficult times so we can still monitor his sugars every 2months. We are so happy this method was suggested to us. Dr. Karner has gone above and beyond for Fletcher. If there was a problem with Fletcher’s sugar reading it didn’t matter if it was after hours Dr. Karner would contact us right away to make sure Fletcher was ok and to tell us what steps to take when there’s a problem with his sugar levels.. The staff here are amazing as well they answer any questions you may have, they always greet you with a smile on their face and most importantly they treat Fletcher like he is their own furbaby. Even during these difficult times they have been amazing. I highly recommend the Welland Animal hospital.

Everybody who works here is fantastic. We have a stranger-nervous dog with chronic stomach issues and they are always super accommodating. When I call with a concern or question, the vet speaks to me directly on the phone and remembers details about our pup that show he really cares. We chose to get our pup spayed here despite it being more costly than the humane society because we trust their care, and they gave us a microchip for free. We once brought in our pup for a minor issue that didn't end up needing a full workup, and they didn't charge us at all for the visit. Super reasonable pricing, great payment plans, and most importantly amazing care for your pets. I can't recommend them enough.
