This Hospital belongs to the category of Animal hospital.
Great staff, took care of my pets, always willing to help when required.
Friendly staff and lowest prices in Trenton
We LOVE Quinte Animal Hospital. Everyone at the office, from Dr Peck and Dr Runciman to the vet techs and assistants, has always been friendly, affectionate, and caring to our girls. We have been taking Marley there right from her first visit after adoption. We now have a second dog, Dixie, and all our visit have been completely positive. The genuine love of animals is evident in everyone working at QAH. Some of the vet techs know our girls by name and remember which is which, something a lot of our friends have trouble with as they look similar. Both Dr Peck and Dr Runciman, as well as the vet techs are incredibly knowledgable and are patient and thorough when explaining concerns and treatment options. In response to a previous comment about being pushy with pet food, I have never encountered this. We have purchased food from them on occasion when one or the other of our girls were having digestive issues. We were given the option to keep them on this food, if the digestive problems persisted, but it was never pushed on us. I would not hesitate to recommend QAH to anyone in our area looking for a veterinarian.
Recently we had an emergency with one of our cats and the Quinte animal hospital was supportive and courteous when helping us. They went above and beyond in a lot of regards and that is great! We cannot recommend their services enough
I wouldn't bring your puppy here. The vet claimed that my 4 month old puppy was "aggressive" because she didn't know how to handle a puppy without the owner there. Now I have a usual happy puppy who is scared of the vet that I have to deal with. On top of that the doctor gave me a lecture that I'm not walking my dog enough or socializing it enough without knowing a thing about me. I put my puppy through 2 training classes by the time he was 4 months old and take him on two 1 hour walks a day. He gets along with literally everyone at the dog park which we go to around 5 times a week. I spoke to my trainer about the situation and she has actually heard multiple complaints about this vet calling puppies aggressive. Both puppies that the vet called aggressive the trainer was unable to make them angry even when she tried. The vet really doesn't get along with dogs not sure why she chose this profession.
Staff are belligerent, threatening, and unprofessional. They have little to interest in answering the phone let alone providing medical aid to animals of any kind. They will accuse pet owners of inflammatory remarks and vulgar language in an attempt to extort money from them. Attempting to pin the blame for their vulgar and abusive behaviour on a client in response to their review is unbelievable offensive.
We just started using Quinte animal hospital and I was extremely impressed with the friendly staff and efficiency. My dog is not good with other dogs, they ensured he wouldn't be around any others and they stuck to their word. Would recommend to anyone.
Very quick and informative
Very nice vet and girl at the front desk. She talked to me, answering every question I had, was very compassionate and understanding..
Pricey. Friendly staff.
They Dont take rabbits so don't waste your time asking
Being new to the area, it was tough to leave a trusted vet and start searching for a new one. After researching reviews, Quinte Animal Hospital seemed to check the boxes for me and my Boxer. Even with the restrictions put in place as a result of the pandemic, the hospital was unbelievable in our first appointment. They were extremely friendly, took plenty of time to explain what was suggested (ie. vaccines), and never pressured anything throughout. Highly recommend to anyone in the area.
Very friendly staff, very dedicated vet, great visit. Thank you so much!
My dog loves it here. Staff are great and always accommodated rush appointments.
Very pleased with the care that they provide for my dog. They provided care since he was a puppy and is now 20 months. He shows no fear when going to the vet which is a clear indication that he is treated well. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a Vet in the Quinte West area.
Very friendly and decent price for Ontario
We started bringing our kitten here because they were one of the most reasonably priced vets in town. This has held true throughout her growing needs. The staff are friendly and very transparent about pricing and options. They don't try to upsell. They have a separate cat entrance for safety. It's quite fast to get an appointment. Very impressed!
The staff and Dr's are super kind and always take the time to go over any questions. They really care about out animals and this is reflected in the quality of care the animals receive.
Brought our lovely little kitten Frankie to see these people today, I'm in disbelief at what you guys had told myself and our kitten. To start, you barely even examined her aside from a quick once over that anyone could have done, no advice aside from referring us to another vet and lets not forget, ending her life, no guidance, no info, nothing on her overall health, nothing, just see another doctor or kill her, to put it bluntly. What part of her made you feel as though she doesn't deserve to live, that kitten is one of the happiest kittens Ive ever had the pleasure to call part of my family. She has lost the use of her back legs, but manages completely fine in 90% of a cats normal daily routine and you are so fast to suggest killing her. Why do you work with animals if you lack general compassion for them.
I honestly hate this place..I went here the other day by accident... (I went to this vet a couple of years ago and they were just as bad trying to push their vet cat food on me.) They make you feel worse leaving than you do going in. When I went there they were asking me questions about my cat and when they went into the back either with my cat or alone I could hear them talking about me and laughing...Very unprofessional.
I recently moved from Mississauga (GTA) to Trenton. Friendly and professional staff, nice facilities. However, prices are much higher than I used to pay in Mississauga, comparing one to one.
Been using this clinic since I moved here. I never have nothing bad to say about all the staff who work at the establishment from up front to the very back. One of the most honest and trustworthy clinics arounds, if I could I would give more than 5 star's.
Very friendly front staff, kind and knowledgeable technicians and doctors. Our dog is in good hands when we need to come by for any of her health needs.
Excellent and friendly. Really cared about my dog.
They recommended their purina food for my puppy. Did not know how bad this food was for pets because I assumed vets are meant to be trusted. Found out when we went to get my dog spayed that her liver count was out of whack. Needed to do a bile test. Found out nothing was wrong with her liver. Other than the fact that purina food is very bad for dogs livers. Seemed like we spent too much money there when they were the ones who put my pet in this situation. They should not be recommending this food !
Over all prices were too expensive, I was asked to do extra lab tests for my dog with extra charges which is okay not in issue. What really bothered me the medication price, I bought medication from the clinic and looked up online different sites the price of medication is 3 times cheaper of what I payed for. Also most vet clinic I went to a 2nd visit to do recheck is usually free, but at this location there is in extra charge to bring my pet to get rechecked. I’m not happy with the over all prices, I’m not cheap or broke I’m pissed off about the principle of care and cost. Definitely not going back or recommend to anyone.
Car side service, very helpful. They really seem to care about your pet, not just selling you stuff.
They a little more money but are extremely friend, professional and treat our fur babies like they are family!!
One word Awesome
I find the staff at Quinte Animal Hospital very friendly and efficient. My animals are always treated well there & I feel happy to return, the communication was great with the Vet and I felt a clear plan on what is to come!
I have been taking Bella to QAH for the past 6 years and have always received excellent service. They always give me a break down of her health, from nose to tail. They take my concerns seriously and always give my girl the best of care. Bella recently had an emergency surgery and Dr. Marie worked her magic and saved her. I have the highest respect for the team at QAH and will recommend them to anyone looking for a vet who cares.
Doesnt complete service quoted but charges full price with made up fees and amounts to charge highest amount on estimate. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Extorts people's love for their animals.
They are great. They took the best care when I had to put my cat down and when we just had our kitten spayed. Thank you. It means the world to me.
Wouldntcar for extreamly I'll female cat who was only sick due to her labour they said it would cost me $3000 to treat her or I could put her down for $250??? Well guess what they wouldn't even offer me just medication to take pain away until she got better. Well it's been 2 weeks she had kittens they all passed away we held her mouth open and gave her water. And food and she is still weak but she will live without surgery and exams and x-rays and iv and feeding tubes and ultra sounds ... All not effen needed
We are new to the area and recently got a puppy. After reading reviews of local area vets, we settled on Quinte Animal Hospital and after a few months of care I'm so glad this was the choice we made. The pandemic hit just after our first appointment, and since then they have remained incredibly dedicated to caring for our puppy while putting in place appropriate safety measures for both customers and their staff. A few things have popped up and they have always found a spot for a quick appointment and been very responsive to text messages. Love the doctor we have been seeing and all the staff!
Love this vet!! Staff are all awesome!
Alternative animal medicine
As a pet parent, we can sometimes be blinded by our love for our pets. Our selfish desire to be with them, to hold them, to have them in our company and our denial over saying goodbye overwhelms us so much that it is sometimes tough to make the right call. The team at Quinte Animal Hospital did everything they could to save our lil guy but also armed us with medical information that helped guide us during a difficult time and helped us make a difficult decision. If it wasn’t for QAH I would of continued to hold on to our cat for selfish reasons when all signs pointed to our cat saying “I’m tired and it’s time” I was just too blinded by my selfish love to see it. We had minutes to decide and compose ourselves for this life altering decision. The Dr. and her team were so compassionate, so delicate and caring that I knew that we did everything that we could and that he was provided the best care possible and was in good hands. We were afforded as much time as we needed with our lil guy and guided through the procedure. In the end it was peaceful and painless (for him). How fortunate for us to be there together as a family one last time. Quinte Animal Hospital takes something that is traumatic for pet parents and approaches it in the most delicate way. For this, I am grateful. Just know that if you bring your pets to QAH, you and them will be taken care of. Thanks
Could not go in...very disappointed but I guess it has to be.
The staff is very nice and they take really good care of my two dogs
I took my dog in for her annual shots and paid about 180 for the shots and two weeks later another 180. I don't recall ever paying that much before. Is this about the same for other pet owners who go here?
Everyone here is very friendly and helpful.
Kind staff. Professional.
Amazing staff. Compassionate and caring
Very friendly and kind when the end came for my cat
very nice and competent
This has been our vet for all of our animals and they are amazing and patient we very recently put down our 18 year old cat who had diabetes and they worked with us very patiently and respectfully and taught us how to properly care for her. They also sent us flowers with a sweet note wishing us well and condolences for putting down our cat. Made a sad situation very loving and comforting
We started going here for our new kitten but now moved our dog here too.
They do a good job of taking care of my fur babies. My cats don’t have a strong fear reaction to seeing the place like I’ve dealt with in other clinics. They pushed calming meds on my cats for their appointment once or twice. It was on the bill before I could say no. I didn’t think they needed it because they seemed pretty ok with the vet experience. They haven’t done it in a couple years though. My dog had a sprained ankle and a rash on his neck a little while ago. They kept him for over an hour and a half which nearly made me late for picking up my daughter from school. When I got him back I took the bill and hurried off. I looked at the bill, and it was over $700! When I asked for an explanation/ breakdown I got a very passive aggressive response about bringing in such a sickly dog. I had to push again to get an actual explanation of the jargon on my bill.
High quality pet care and diligent administrative services, prices are pretty much as could be expected. Busy due to covid.
The team here was very accommodating on short notice and we received kind and professional care for our sick dog. They were able to make prompt arrangements for much needed surgery and our little guy is on the mend!
Very caring and informative staff. Made me feel like family.
Great people who care about my Boomer
great staff truly care about your furbaby,s
Very caring, helpful, take time to explain all the options available — I’m very satisfied with their service. My 13 year old dog was vomiting since July, l started losing hope but wasn’t able to give up. Went there yesterday and the veterinarian and the assistant were very helpful. My dog got needle for vomiting , special food , medications and she hasn’t vomited since yesterday. She slept like a baby and so did we. I went to their clinic heartbroken and hopeless — I went out hopeful and happy. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We will be coming again Thanks Verona and Bebe
Great staff
Prices for everything are higher than other local vets. Brought my cat in for a simple clear cut UTI. My previous vet confirmed unnecessary tests and meds were prescribed considering my cats symptoms. Never again
Unlike other places I know, they also open Saturdays. Friendly and courteous staff.
Very nice people nice place good prices I feel confident taking my pet there
I absolutely love this place, I just recently changed to them and they were incredible, they don't put profit before care and genuinely love and care about animals. The prices were decent and the staff went above and beyond for my dog, I would recommend this vet to anyone:)
Great service from the staff with extra care to your pets.
Very expensive. 3 times more than other places. Vet called and tried to rectify the cost and the tests but the fact is I spent $3000 for just tests. I was told on the phone the first consultation appointment was free and then they told me the girl made a mistake and then charged me. Whatever I just felt it was all about the money. I did not appreciate waiting a week for my dogs results. Trying to call and no answer Found out the meds given to my dog were not necessary. We ended up going to Bell Animal hospital and they were awesome. The vet is caring and had the operation for my dog at a fraction of the price and the service was excellent. The vet there is the best I have ever had.
Our girl Izzy (American Bulldog) was QAH's first "rescue". We have always taken her there and were always pleased with their services. They treated Izzy as a member of the family and truly enjoyed seeing her come back time and again. The true testament of how far they will go was arranging for us to spend our last few precious minutes with her outside in their back compound so she could go to sleep surrounded by those that loved her most. Thank you sincerely QAH. Mike, Jen, John and Hannah
No other animal hospital in the area would take a new patient and my dog was bleeding from a bladder infection. These people took my dog in, cared for it and fixed her up in no time. I cannot say enough good things about this experience with this animal clinic/hospital. They are now my go to place here in the region. Highly recommend.
Nice place. Very nice staff. Haven't gone there yet where the appointments haven't been running behind, but not a deal breaker. Because of covid the service is all curb side. They call you, get info, and then come out for the pet. You get a call when it's done and you go to the door to meet them and get your pet. A very long wait for the girl at the front to call you and get the bill sorted out though. Some organization is definitely needed. Nail cutting is a complimentary service, but if you don't remind them, odds are it won't happen. Fairly pricey place, but that's all vets. Been a client for many years and am, overall, satisfied with them.
Needed Emergency Care during their Open hours as my Dog was bit by a coyote. The Staff were gentle, caring .supportive and professional. H Is on the Mend! Thank you Quinte Animal Hospital Staff.
great people a little expensive
Very caring and friendly staff
Horrible place. Charged me 3 times more than they should of. Don't care about your pet they just want your money. Rude and dont answer the phone. Took a week to get them to call me back with results. Awful place
Had such a good experience at Quinte Animal Hospital. Brought my dog for her yearly check up and she was so nervous. Everyone made her feel so welcome that when she came out, she wanted to go back in! Thank you so much
Amazing staff and vets who helped ease the pain as we laid our boy to rest. Thank you for your kind words and love in a tough time. Highly recommend this clinic, we will remain loyal clients.
The best! Really helped out my mom and her dog! Much appreciated.
filled out there form on line as instructed on their web site as our cat needed medical assistance and no one answered phone. a week later have still never heard from them. I would give them a zero if i could. Went to Trenton Pet Hospital and they were fabulous.
A awesome visit. Very great communication with me
Our dog cut her pad on right rear paw. Had to what a week for appointment. When we got in and looked it was wrapped and we were told to leave for 3days. Well after the 3 days she developed 2 pressure sores on each side of her paw the size of toonies. We learned the paw was wrapped to tight for 3 days causing the sores. Uneducated vet techs and they lied when asked about the wrapping . This happened July 10th and as of today the wounds are starting to heal only after changing vets, loose bandage change every day , and antibiotics. They are pathetic.
Friendly staff, but pricey, follow up service isnt good, I felt like just another dollar to them.
Told one price then charge you another too expensive
Since you do not allow a response to your comment, I am adding to my husband's review. Upon initial examination, the two tiny sores (not new!) were identified along with the original concern of a cut paw (time between assessment and treatment had nothing to do with this injury-it has healed a long time ago). Someone (not sure if it was Vet or Tech) wrapped her and told me that they put honey on them and to remain wrapped for three days. I was told to unwrap her and apply honey from home and take pictures for the Vet to review on the Friday. When we unwrapped her, she had two silver dollar wounds and now all her toes were sore due to the wrap being too tight. A second Vet examined her and told me that the wrap had been too tight and the Vet Tech didn't remember seeing the two sores so it must have been that we left her to run around. Absolutely no responsibility taken. I have carried a 60 pound dog everywhere to avoid her doing any damage during that time. Not seeing the sores? This was an absolutely a lie as the original Vet and I discussed potential causes. At no point, did anyone say they were pressure sores until it was too late. You are the Vets. You should have known a couple of things. One that these were pressure sores and needed to be wrapped in a particular manner. Two that the wrap shouldn't have been left for three days. Three that she was dehydrated from the medication on the Friday. Four when I call for help on the Saturday asking whether I should have been concerned that she wasn't passing liquid or bowel movements for a couple of days...I should have received a call back as you were aware she was in your care. You were open Saturday. Luckily I got ahold of another Vet who was able to advise us that she was near death due to dehydration and not just a "drunken sailor" from the medications as I was told by the second Vet that she would be. You should be ashamed of your service. Oh and as far as calling...are you kidding me? Since Covid, you hide behind text messages and don't allow anyone in to see what you are doing. I texted and you also didn't answer on the Saturday am. You know our number and if you truly cared, you would have called to see why we were changing our appointment to another Vet Clinic. She is not feeling better by the way. Her bandaging has just come off and we are into third round of antibiotics.
Great place for pets. They treat them like little people. I am very happy and impressed.
Amazing vet clinic. They go above and beyond to help your pets. The most compassionate vet team ever!
Before Dr. Runciman left, I loved it here and so did my dog. Since then, the place has gone downhill. I don't think the new vet knows what she is doing. And half the staff left, makes you wonder what is going on
Dr Maria is so good to my Gunner and very thorough when explaining results. The technicians, Jenna and Sara at the front are awesome, they show they really care about your pet. They even followed up next day to see how he was doing
Took a friend!
My dog has been going to this vet since she was born almost 7 years ago. Recently she suffered serious nerve damage and was more or less paralyzed in her back legs. After bringing her in to see Dr. Peck and being offered the option of acupuncture I am happy to say my dog is now walking, running and regaining strength and movement in her back legs. The staff was very supportive, knowledgeable, and understanding during this difficult time and are always kind and friendly when we visit. They showed genuine concern for my dog's well being and shared my excitement as the improvements began to show. I have been very pleased with my experience with Quinte Animal Hospital and love that they offer alternative medicines.
Nice staff
My dog hurt his leg and couldnt walk. I called 2 other Vet offices and they would not see him. Quinte Animal Hospital called me right back and made an appointment for the next day. Quick and easy and very reasonable and thank goodness my dog is going to be ok. Thank you so much for caring.
I had a German Shepherd that was diagnosed with hip dysphasia, I will never forget the way they treated her as well as the different option available for treatment in my specific situation for my puppy. They treated her with the utmost compassion and gave her the best care anyone could wish for. They also gave me all the information I need to go forward with the treatment that I chose and gave me a shoulder to cry on when needed. Can’t say enough good things about them!
Very nice staff. Helped bring our cat back to his healthy standard very quickly. Do a great job of explaining things and answering all questions very thoroughly.
My experience with Dr Olga Peck is that she is a truly amazing and caring doctor. I love that she has vast knowledge and experience in not only mainstream medicine but also naturopathic medicine and also Chinese medicine. I have been taking my standard poodle to Dr Peck for acupuncture for several years. It has made a big difference and has given my precious Feebee back quality of life. I resent that someone said this hospital is pushy about selling their food. I don't find this to be true at all. I trust Dr Peck and find the staff at this pet hospital to be caring, accommodating and very professional. I highly recommend Dr Olga Peck.
Privately owned, with friendly staff and really care about your pets.
Brought our 17 year old cat Goldie .They showed us what a Vet should be Compassion to our needs and that of our family pet. We knew in our hearts it was time and they confirmed what we thought. The very thoughtful gifts will be treasured by us for yrs.Once again thank you so much during this sad time. Joe and Mary Lou Clark (Goldie) our Family cat RIP.
Every thing was perfect really friendly staff.
(Translated) nice services (Original) Nice services
Great place, they provided excellent care to my dog.
Compassionate and understanding.
My furbabies love it here... They are all so amazing here . They make you feel like family.
Way to pricey .very good for annual check
They were so nice and treatedy Charlie with live and care.
I have been bringing my little Pomchi "Lucy" to Quinte Animal Hospital for years. She is a regular there for her nail trims as she is familiar with the staff and it is less stressful for her as I have never taken her to a groomer due to how her nails had previously grown into her skin. With the lockdown I had to wait patiently and finally was able to get her in for an appointment but I had to wait almost 3 weeks. I have been watching her little paws and her nails are getting close to her skin so I was greatful her appt was for tomorrow morning. I got a very unacceptable text message today from Quinte Aninal Hospital telling me they are cancelling my Lucy's nail appt for tomorrow that they have to many sick animals to care for tomorrow so I will need to take her to a groomer. I'm so angry! 1st of all I understand how busy they are but Lucy will be in so much pain if her nails grow into her skin! Literally takes 10 mins or less to do her nails and I would be willing to come anytime and wait if I had to!! All groomers are booked solid due to them JUST reopening!!! I now feel like my Lucy doean't matter??? That is NO WAY to treat a customer who has been with you for years!?!? and then to not respond to my texts afterward where Im telling you this is not acceptable???? Wow
Great staff! They take time to provide all you need to know to maintain your pet's health. Treated our puppy 'Riley' like royalty.
Quinte Animal Hospital was not only amazing with my dog but me as well. We had to make an emergency visit from out of town and they took us right away. They were so good with him and couldn't have asked for better veterinarians and staff. The vet also took the time to thoroughly explain what was going on and the steps I would need to take to get my pup to be healthy again. Thank you everyone at Quinte Animal Hospital!
Always a great experience for all!!!!
Aside from the wonderful reception ladies, we feel the new owner is just an insensitive, non compassionate vet. We had to unfortunately put our dog to sleep from the back of our car in the parking lot. She made us feel as though we were an imposition. Constant asking if she could go through with euthanizing our dog, asking over and over bow? Shall we start? We just wanted to say good bye to our beloved dog and she was in such a rush. It was horrible
This vets office is absolutely amazing !!!! 10/10 recommend
Front staff are great! Always happy and always willing to help.
Took pet to the vet thought it was weird that they wouldn't exam the pet cause not owner, he could be really sick thought they care more about money then animals... You have a better chance taking your Pet to a people hospital then here.... they just care about money not at all concerned about pet
Called here this morning for a bit of an emergency visit to see if they could fit me in today. They easily accommodated me with an early afternoon appointment for our Yorkie. Staff was professional and easy to talk to, building was clean and well represented, and overall a great experience! The Vet offered to attempt to control the smaller issues that could help heal the bigger issues without forcing me to take on the bigger more expensive issues right off the hop! I thought that was very professional, just like diagnosing a motorcycle ... start with the simple things first!! They even gave me 10% off for being a Veteran without me even asking! Overall a very positive experience and I would not hesitate to return with our little Teddy Bear Yorkie. Not sure why all the negative comments but people will be people. I am in no way affiliated with this business nor any of it's employees. Just a guy with a sick little puppy. Thank you Quinte Animal Hospital!!!!
Seems like they have good availability for how good the quality of service is. Easy to book appointments, staff is very friendly, and it is not as expensive as some vets. Would recommend.
Very stylish office, reasonable price, nice staff and knowlegeable doctor
