It seems a lot of people have had troubles with the ultrasound techs at the GHC. I recently went for an x-ray and ultrasound and had a great experiences. The techs were friendly, efficient and professional.

Ultrasound technician was too tough and caused me pain. Had to ask him numerous times to stop. Supervisor was rude, uncaring, and unprofessional. I have made a formal complaint! Go to doctors building, my health instead...!

Our entire family has come here for care since the GHC opened. Drs & NPs have come and gone, care has been consistently awesome, with reasonable expectations. Thank you Canada for your health care system, thanks Tommy Douglas. It may not always be perfect, but consider the alternative..

I enjoy having my family doctor in the Group Health Center because it allows me to do anything I need. If the doctor orders tests of some kind it is all in one place. For example x-ray, lifelabs, and many other doctors in the building.

Apointment scheduling sucks. No point in having a doctor when it's quicker to book with the doctor in same day clinic. At least you don't have to wait for hours for your doctors office to call back.

Terrible ultrasound tech. Didn't take full pictures, didn't explain anything, also when I walked in the smell of the tech was so disgusting (body odour) that I almost threw up and was gagging. Horrible.

I have never ever been treated with so much disrespect. I received a voicemail from my doctors office to phone back regarding some test results. When I called the switchboard, the lady I spoke with was so unbelievably rude. I get that it's Friday and no one wants to work but that doesn't mean you can be rude. After I told her I already tried calling my doctors nurse and I could t get through (knowing before hand they leave office at 2pm, BUT I still received a call from the nurse 30 mins ago so therefore I knew the nurse was still there and couldn't answer the phone) so knowing all of that, I thought I'd s check and see if there was a note that the switch lady to give me from my doctor. So when I spoke to the lady, she said "no" so I told her my thoughts about how the nurse called 30 mins ago and if there's something I need to know about my test results, I'd like to know before the weekend and I wait till Monday. This is when she got rude, she told me I should call the message board?( something like that) and I said yes, I did that earlier today, BUT my doctors nurse JUST phoned me 30 mins ago to call THIS number back. She said there's no way the nurse left me this number and I said yes, I heard it on my voicemail. Then this lady says, "okay let's hear it" I said " uhm no, how can I make you listen to it when I'm on the phone with you" lady goes "that's right". At that point I had enough, so I told her to put me through again to my doctors nurse. She did, and guess what? I got ahold of the nurse. I'm don't all anyone to talk to me with such disrespect. I wish I could put a recording of her awful tone and sass when she spoke to me. However I cannot, but I will drive up there right now and go and speak to someone. Because! This isn't the first time I've had to deal with bitchy "nurses"... sorry lady, but you sit there and answer a phone all day.

Went to the group health today to get my prescriptions renewed.Was to see a NP. What a joke. She says, Mr. Elliott, you haven't been here since 2014.I said thats good isnt it.NP says not at all, i know nothing about you at all, i quess she didnt take the time to read my file about why i was taking my narcotic prescription for last 12yrs or so.At one time i routinely had to do the blood tests and make an appointment with my doctor over these prescription renewals and then was told just to get the pharmacy to fax the prescription renewals in to the doctors office so other patients could use up this valuable time and not waste it on a renewal process.This same NP had this faxed to the doctors office August 13th 2017 and this appointment was cancelled once and rescheduled for today and was told she could not renew it. what a joke-should have been told this before wasting someone else time on an appointment. poor communication.

Absolutely awful. Completely incompetent staff will never get anything back to you unless you hound them, no matter how important it is. Test results regularly lost. Hopefully you have a better experience than I did, but I wouldn't risk it; good luck.

The waits can be long sometimes, but that's par for the course in Canada, and sometimes seeing your own doctor can be difficult -- I had my family doctor for two or three years and have not seen her once, mostly due to extenuating circumstances, but still -- but the quality of care here is excellent.

Cant get our child into a Doctor (Dr. Brooks retired and we all have no Doctor). Was told to go to walk in clinic (last 3 times we went there, we have had a nurse practitioner and not much was done). We want our child to see a DOCTOR!!! What a sad state of affairs when a 2 year old child in Ontario cant get a Doctor. Will call the Ministry of Health as well. Group Health Centre has not found any replacement Doctors. SAD!!!

I wish this had a 0 star option. Horrible, rude and unsympathetic staff even over the phone. I asked to speak with my family physician 3 times in a row and they kept rudely hanging up on me and not calling me back. If you are looking for health care do not seek this place.

Very disappointed with the receptionists here. I can't get a doctor after being on the list for 6 years. Was told it's due to a shortage of doctors and your wait is pointless because people have waited way longer.... like hello do you not see a problem here?? But wait it gets way better. I get told if I don't leave and stop taking out my fusterations on her (which I was being very polite asking how to make this very slow process any faster). She was calling security. I don't know if these very rude women are on power trips or if they really truly don't care about anyone but themselves. I was told I need to go waste the emergency rooms time at sault area hospital to renew a very basic and simple perscription. Shame on all of you. Just wait until you or a family member or your own child need health care and the shoe is on the other foot. I will not feel even the slightest bit of sympathy. Very disappointed. Pay more then the average person on taxs and can't even get the most simple medical care I deserve. FIX THIS NOW!
