The whole thing would have forced the nurse to make the poor little girl scream for the fourth time. The oncology service is great however, and it looks even better since the renovations. In short, things to improve, without a doubt, but good overall! (Original) Dans l'ensemble, je crois toujours avoir eu un service adéquat. J'ai attendu 16 heures pour une luxation de l'épaule. C'est long mais bon, rien de mortel. Ma conjointe a attendue 2h30 heures pour une blessure à l’œil. Bref, je crois que l'attente est vraiment en fonction de l'achalandage et de la gravité de la blessure. Le service de natalité est adéquat, bien que de me faire dire que de ne pas utiliser un matelas pour dormir sur le sol car cela pourrait brimer l'autre usagé qui n'en a pas (alors que je paie pour une chambre semi-privée) m'a laissé une drôle d'impression. Notons aussi les trois prises sanguines maquées sur ma fille nouvellement née ( le sang ayant coagulé car les analyses auront pris trop de temps). Le tout aura fait en sorte d'obliger l’infirmière à faire hurler la pauvre petite pour une quatrième fois. Le service d'oncologie est super toutefois, et il semble encore mieux depuis les rénovations. Bref, des trucs à améliorer, sans aucun doute, mais bien dans l'ensemble!

Sans parler de l'autre infirmière qui me pousse quand j'arrive à peine à me tenir debout. Et que dire du medecin qui me dit de le regarder dans les yeux quand il parle parce que sinon c'est lui manquer de respect. Pourquoi faites-vous ce métier? Je suis traumatisée par cet endroit. J'ai peur! Où irais-je la prochaine fois?

My daughter had a stomach crisis that seemed to be from here appendix. We came in the ER at 9:30 PM and left at 1130 am the next day it was much to long for a twelve years old to go true. But all staffs were on point especially "Francis" a male nurse was absolutely outstanding installing the IV to a twelve year old girl after 10 hours in the system. Dr Wong was also extremely nice and efficient. These people need more help instead of stupid government advertising spending.

I got hurt badly while skiing, and when they told me that the ambulance was going to take me to Saint jerome hospital, I must say i was worried since i don't speak French. From the minute I got there, everyone was very nice and accommodating, trying to make me feel at ease and going out of their way to take care of me and answer any questions I had even if their English wasn't great. I want to thank everyone at Saint-Jérôme hospital for their help during my visit and professionalism.

Due to pressure from the family, there was a shower. Then, following a complaint to the Complaints Commissioner, another 17 days passed before my mother had a second shower. During a meeting with the Users' Committee Coordinator, the family was informed by the head nurse that 60 out of 400 beds are currently occupied by elderly people waiting for accommodation. And there are two baths in the hospital for all these people. The services are therefore, in my opinion, lamentable. (Original) Ma mère qui est hospitalisée à l'hôpital régional de Saint-Jérôme depuis juillet 2015, et en attente d'un hébergement, a passé 40 jours sans douche, ni bain, ni lavage de tête ! Suite à des pressions de la part de la famille, il y a eu une douche. Puis, suite à une plainte au Commissaire aux plaintes, il s'est écoulé un autre 17 jours avant que ma mère ait une 2e douche. Lors d'une rencontre avec la coordonnatrice du Comité des usagers, la famille a ensuite été informée, par l'infirmière-chef, que 60 lits sur 400 sont actuellement occupés par des personnes âgées en attente d'hébergement. Et il y a deux bains dans l'hôpital pour toutes ces personnes. Les services sont donc, à mon avis, lamentables.

Ce n'est pas drôle ce qui se passe dans les hôpitaux surtout depuis la pandémie. Tous les gens impliqués étaient très attentionnés lors de mon séjour suite à un infarctus de même que les ambulanciers. Tous des professionnels consciencieux. La vie est précieuse. Les automobilistes qui ne comprennent pas devant les ambulances devraient avoir le loisir de comprendre ce qui se passe dans les hôpitaux.

Facile de même finalement! T'sais quand c'est rendu que j'aurais eu plus de chance d'avoir la pompe d'asthme en demandant à un patient dans la salle d'attente.! On joue avec moi comme une poupée et alors que je pensais être niveau 5, j’étais en réalité un niveau 3 et une infirmière (la blonde arrogante au triage) me le cache et me descend réellement au niveau 5, car elle ne pense pas que 5 h plus tard une autre employée du triage m'en informera. Cela rallonge encore plus mon attente a l’hôpital. J'ai attendu 12 heures de temps a cet hôpital insalubre, nauséabonde, avec un personnel désagréable qui se raconte leurs journées sous tes yeux quand toi t'attend pour qu'ils fassent leur job. Le lendemain je réussis a avoir un rendez-vous ailleur, on m'apprend que j'ai eu une rupture de kyste ovarien et que la douleur est bel et bien aigue. sensible au passage d'une pierre au rein......... Je peux comprendre que je n'étais pas un cas urgent de 1/5, mais certainement pas un 5/5. Je ne comprend pas comment vous traiter les patients c'est degueulasse... vous m'avez fait sentir comme si je n'avais pas rapport dans la salle, vous ne m'avez donné aucune réponse.... vous êtes lents..... vous êtes incompétents... votre technique de triage est démodée... et vos employés ? ouff, je m'arrête ici.......... J'ai eu beau expliqué 2 fois que ça pouvait entraîner une infection et que j'avais besoin d'aide, aucune écoute. Ça faisait tellement mal et je ne pouvais pas tenir mes pansement tout le long pour prévenir le sang de couler. Horrible. Dans la salle d'attente, il y avait également quelqu'un qui criait même de douleur lorsque j'étais à moitié endormi, je crois que quelqu'un est venu environ 1 HEURE après, si elle est venue. Le premier à qui j'ai parlé, à propos du fait que mon opération était ouverte, m'a simplement dit que j'étais chanceux d'avoir une chaise confortable pour attendre. Voir que c'est la chaise qui va me guérir et m'empêcher de m'infecter. Mais ce n'est pas le pire: On m'a renvoyé chez moi par après. Sans rien, car le chirurgien ne voulait pas remettre lui-même mes points de sutures. J'ai dû visiter d'autre hôpital. 10h pour rien du tout, et un ambulance pour rien du tout. C'est pitoyable.

Depuis quelques années, elle a fait des crises de cœur à répétition, elle a eu des opérations, des soins spéciaux et bien plus. Elle est médicamenté sur une base régulière pour aider à prévenir les crises. Quand ça lui arrive, elle doit prendre une pompe, qui devrait diminuer les douleurs et faire passer la crise sans avoir de répercutions. Ceci dit, lorsqu'elle est arrivée à l'urgence, la crise avait passée. Sauf que les douleurs qu'elle éprouvait n'étaient pas les même qu'elle avait connu avant. Son médecin lui avait bien expliqué que la seule façon de passer une série de tests actuellement, c'était en allant à l'hôpital lorsqu'une crise se produisait. Chose dû, chose fait. - Ils ont cru bon la laisser patienter avec ces maux, dans la salle d'attente. En chandail à manches courtes et en pantoufles. Ils ne peuvent rien prêter en raison du COVID, bien-sûr. Après plusieurs demande de sa part, la sécurité a finalement appelé un membre de ma famille afin qu'on puisse aller lui porter un manteau et des bottes. (MERCI) - Elle a passée la nuit sur une chaise à l'urgence SANS rien avoir à manger. Le personnel lui disait ''On ne sait pas combien de temps que nous allons vous garder madame''. Certes! Qu'elle reste 5h, 20h ou 3 jours, une dame âgée de 72 ans, prise du cœur, qui vient tout juste de faire une crise, assise seule sur une vieille chaise dure dans une salle d'attente depuis des heures, vous demande UNE toast et UN verre d'eau... Est-ce vraiment terrible de couper votre budget de 3$ pour lui donner un peu d'énergie? pour la tenir debout ne serait-ce que quelques heures de plus? Tout la force que ça lui prend lorsqu'elle revient d'une crise, croyez-moi, beaucoup d'entre nous serait à bout de souffle. Elle est forte! Elle reste âgée quand même. Elle n'avait pas souper puisqu'elle arrivait à peine à respirer convenablement. Elle n'a pas demandé un buffet chinois 12 étoiles. C'est pour mon dire qu'elle a demandé le minimum requis pour se rassasier. Elle a demandé, encore et encore. J'ai de la peine simplement à l'écrire. Juste l'imaginer être séparé de son mari adoré, eux qui sont inséparables, elle avait de la peine toute seule dans l'attente de voir un médecin. - Aux petites heures du matin, elle se fait appeler dans le cubicule pour attendre encore quelques heures, bien entendu. Le personnel lui explique qu'elle peut s'assoir sur le lit, mais elle ne peut pas se coucher. Je me répète... Elle a 72 ans. Elle est fatiguée. Non, brûlée. Elle est vidée de toute son énergie. Elle a froid, elle a faim. Elle demande ''Vous allez lavés et tout désinfecter une fois que j'aurai quitté, non? Pourquoi je ne peux pas m'étendre en attendant?'' Et on lui répond le plus froidement possible ''Dormez assit madame''. Ah! Oui. C'est vrai, c'est mieux ainsi. Non mais... Une chance que le médecin a bien trouvé ce qui n'allait pas. Une chance qu'elle aura droit de passer des tests d'expertise dans une hôpital beaucoup plus développé. Une chance que l'ambulancière et l'ambulancier étaient d'une gentillesse incroyable. Ils étaient tout les deux très doux et ils ont prit le temps convenu pour elle, pour lui expliquer le déroulement des choses. Merci à ces deux personnes. Ce n'est pas tout les jours qu'on doit faire affaire avec les gens de ce métier, mais merci d'être bon autant intérieurement que professionnellement. Vraiment, malgré que le système soit des plus défectueux (blamons le gouvernement, pas eux!), le staff en entier a été comme des anges et super humains. Quoi demandé de plus? Nous avons dit que nous aurons un appel pour un rendez-vous qui doit être fait dans une semaine, pour une échographie et pour un test sanguin pour s'assurer que tout est de retour à la normale ... Je lui ai demandé si on n'avait rien à faire ? Il a dit non, on t'appellera pour les deux. Jamais reçu d'appels!! J'ai maintenant appelé l'hôpital et j'ai été transféré dans deux départements qui disent qu'ils n'ont aucune information sur moi. et j'attends maintenant que cela soit clarifié. My time in emergency was rough, the gurney got very uncomfortable after a while then very painful. I had a broken leg meaning I couldn't move much or get up to stretch. After 18 hours of serious pain and some arm twisting, I got my room and a real bed. Once admitted, things got a lot better overall. The nurses and staff were better, the facilities were a lot better too. I did need surgery and I am very happy with my surgeon (Dr Turcotte) and his team, 5 stars for him. Important - speak French or have someone with you that can. With my limited French, it would have been a nightmare without my bilingual wife. most staff were French only.
