I received a prescription on a Friday and it made me very sick, I called back the next Tuesday and explained that the prescription made me sick and was wondering if I could talk to my doctor quickly to have him write me a new prescription for the same illness i had a few days ago, they said no I can't talk to my doctor and no they can't give me a new prescription unless I go in for an appointment, the next available appointment was Friday, I explained that I had already been diagnosed and given a prescription I am just allergic to that particular medicine and would prefer to have things happen more quickly as I don't want to wait another week to continue to be sick just so I can go in to the doctor and have him say you are still sick with the same illness you just need a different brand/type of medication. They were firm that I could not speak to my doctor and that they could do nothing for me.

This office is incredibly disorganized and horrible to deal with. I highly recommend you to find another family doctor. My wife is 27 weeks pregnant and needs prescriptions for her health and the baby. This office promised to write out the prescription and not only did it take them over 14 days and 4 phone calls to get it to us, but they wrote it up wrong and took another 7 days to get it corrected. So what the doctor took 21 days to get done for us took the shoppers drug mart 15minutes when we went in. Very scary considering the health risks.

I wouldn’t say Receptionists are rude ,but something needs to change with front desk management. Scheduling is and art form i get that but i’ve never had issues like this elsewhere. When your appointment is at said time... if the doctors running 50min late you should be making some calls. Waiting in a clinic that long during a pandemic is completely unacceptable! Where’s your precautionary measures horizon? I try arriving early and wait in my car till exactly when its time to sign in just out of respect for you and your clinic; but all for not.

I was looking for a new Gynecologist in St.Albert and my Dr's office nurse recommended me to Horizon Health. The front desk staff at Horizon were lovely and the Gynecologist might be the best I have had to date - After going through my medical history with her, she asked me some more questions to symptoms I was having and to have an overall better understanding of my health. She was very professional, polite, informative and made the experience very comfortable. She had even informed me that she lived in the Sherwood Park area so she is only in the office once a week - because St.Albert doesn't have a lot of gynecologists in the area she noticed a rise in referrals to be able to see her (So if your wait is a bit long this may be why.) She also expressed how important it is to her to make sure every woman's sexual health be well taken care of. She is worth the wait and I am very grateful for her care.

I've been going to Horizon Health for years and have always loved my experience there. I usually see Doctor V. Shaker and she's absolutely wonderful! Always listens, never brushes you off. Sometimes due to availability I see another Doctor and I've had great experiences with the others as well. Front staff is so kind and helpful - on the phone and in person! Wait times are also reasonable.

This clinic and its staff have been incredibly helpful and kind to me over the years. I've never had an issue with scheduling or excessive wait times and the staff have always been pleasant. I travel here from Edmonton to see Dr. Holm-Jhass and she is definitely worth the drive as she is knowledgeable, professional and never makes me feel rushed. I absolutely recommend this clinic if you're lucky enough to find a Doctor here that is accepting new patients.

Love my doctor and the LPN at this office. But the front staff do not have a friendly face... they are awfully rude and do not bring a good first appearance to the office. Fortunately, I love my doctor and the LPN there so much that I guess I will deal with them.

I see Dr. V Shaker here and she is an amazing physician but the clinic unfortunately suffers from the poor scheduling and reception. I regularly have to book appointments nearly a month in advance to see her, and have been rescheduled or cancelled multiple times the day before or even the day of my appointment. It seems this is a recurring issue from what I've heard from my family whom also go here and the other reviews. The reception staff could improve their people skills as well, after one receptionist audibly sighed in annoyance over the phone at me having to check my schedule, as well as calling me without leaving a message, then telling me there is nothing they need to speak with me about, then soon after calling again to reschedule my appointment. However, the team of doctors here deliver top notch care and come highly recommended by myself to others.

My first appointment as a new patient I waited over 90 min, only for the Dr to tell me I was booked for a prescription renewal and therefor he had NO time to even answer my questions. I then booked in for another appointment requesting more time as he advised. I showed up for the next appointment only for reception to tell me the Dr was not in that day. No phone call to inform me!!... THEN I rebook for two days later for a phone appointment, I wake up mid day during night shifts, and no phone call from the Dr.... Im not sure if receptionist is failing to do their job or the Dr. HORRIBLE experience.

Doctors are great. Front staff are not friendly and have made errors booking my appts multiple times. I think some appts need to have higher priority. Medication is very important. Waiting weeks to get a new prescription is not okay. If someone had to wait three weeks to be prescribed an inhaler, it could ultimately cost them their life. Same for any mental health related medication. Also, they do not have a cancellation list and tell you that you have to call every day to check if there is a cancellation. Their system is just not great. After my next appt I will be changing clinics. Also, other clinics google reviews are often replied to and offer assistance to help with your problem. I do not see any acknowledgment from management here. Very disappointing .

Superior. Dr Singh is my children’s Paediatrician, she is the 1’st Dr my kids have seen that actually makes all attempts to resolve issues and uses many referral and /or even community resources. This Dr even has a running club and badminton for kids to participate in that she participates in. Very lucky to have my kids as her patients.

Arrived for a walk in at 330 Told me sorry no walk in this afternoon, Go somewhere else they said....hmmmm. Not impressed as they advertised walk in On their website and sign out side and left work early to go there as I got the impression from their website this was a great place.

Amazing reception and quality of care from all staff and doctors is amazing. My daughter is 2.5 and we frequently are in and out of the doctor's office from getting sick from daycare.

I would love to give this clinic a better review, but I can’t. Dr. V Shaker is such an amazing doctor, but the front end staff is quite lacking. In particular, the male receptionist is beyond rude, and should be educated on how to treat patients. Additionally, I make appointments 4-6weeks in advance, yet three times in a row they call and have to reschedule the date or time. Why bother making an appointment, oh because you can’t get in otherwise. It is crazy that you must book 4+ weeks in advance to see your doctor. I am lucky I don’t get seriously ill ever.

Dr V Shaker is a good MD however my experience with her front end staff leaves a lot to be desired. I rec’d 2 confirmation emails and responded to both. When I arrived at the appointed time, the office was dark and locked. I get that the roads were horrendous but I risked life and limb to get there. The least they could do is inform patients that the clinic was closed. So not impressed by the management of this clinic. I speak as someone who has done this for 20+years.

Since when is ok to have your patience wait 1 hour without the slightest notification that they aren't being ignored. I see patience jump ahead that don't wait 5 min. I guess my times worth nothing. Doctors are great though.

The staff at the front desk are rude! It’s ok to wait 3 weeks for an appointment & run out of the medication that you are not suppose to be without but you never can get in! I had to cancel 2 appointments because I’m disabled & lived out of town & depending on rides from other ppl & they have the nerve to bill me $45.00! This Clinic only cares about money. I only receive less than $1000.00 to live off of & for every form she fills out for me to receive AISH, HOUSING, etc she charges $100.00 per form yet takes 3 WEEKS TO FILL IT OUT..THEN I GET A PHONE CALL TO PICK IT UP? HOW??

First off, Dr. Holm-jhass is truly amazing! I had a very difficult appointment and was accompanied by my wife. She had forgotten her mask and so I had asked the ladies if I could have a mask for my wife. I was told it was $1. Not a big deal but I had no change, they wouldn't give change to break my bill and refused me debit (because it was such a low amount) They informed me the the pharmacy across the way might have some masks. As I was leaving their visiting room however a very nice young lady offerd me $1 (thank you today's hero!) I paid for the mask. I understand but was still disheartened by my experience here today. If you need a mask, just make sure to have change...

The front staff is horrible rude and not accommodating at all . Wait times terrible for walk ins may as well wait at the hospital for 3 hours to get the same service and experience. Alberta's health care system is terrible and this clinic is a prime example of that .
