What a great group of nurses, doctor and lab tech. Hospitals and doctors give me anxiety but this group was so nice to deal with.

This hospital has always had great staff and caring doctors, the only thing that could make this hospital better would be to allow pregnant women a closer place to give birth.

lol! Hospital, it's pretty much a fancy first aid post, =(. Ever since Interior Health decided to "Centralize"10 or so years ago, both Castlegar and Nelson hospitals are but a shell of their former selves.

Brought my little one in with fever and had the nurse basically make me feel like I was as wasting their time. She told me we should make this a "teachable moment", as if I was an idiot that doesn't know when it's appropriate to seek medical attention for my child. Turns out her fever was significantly high and that we were right to be there. You'd think with what's been going on in local hospitals lately when people have been wrongfully turned away that they'd actually take a person seriously.

i tried calling to get a hold of my doctor 8 times and all i got was voicemail this is supposed to be a hospital

This place is a joke, if you show up between anybody getting off of or starting shifts they completely neglect you, 4 hour waiting time minimum, triage non existent.

Dr Halse was on at the ER and he worked so hard at finding solutions for my Dad. I always find the staff friendly and helpful. The lab technicians are fast, gentle, and kind. Selda and all the staff at Physiotherapy have a kind and motivational approach which is fantastic to observe.

Went there in agony only to find the place completely deserted, no receptionist no nurses. Wandered around desperatly only to have one nurse purposefully ignore me through the glass. Had to drive myself to another hospital. Don't rely on this hospital if you are actually hurt you'll just waste your time.

Everyone in the building is rude and they dont care about anyone who walks in there. Unless dying(in that case call 911 and they'll take you to a real hospital). I'd say see your family doctor or even google your symptoms and get medicines. They dont have any receptionist. Staff get mad on person who simply walks in.

very poor staff. no response. i went there and they did not listen my problem doctor just said wait four hours .doctor said! we do not help unless somebody is dying so i think i need to be nearly dead to get treatment.

Not a hospital or a health centre, more or less just for laboratory work. Everyone in the building is rude and could care less about anyone who walks in there. Unless dying(in that case call 911 and they'll take you to a real hospital) I'd say see your family doctor or even google your symptoms and treat yourself before stepping foot in this building!

Went in twice in three months with my one year old. Was seen in a reasonable time both times. The nurses and doctor I saw were attentive and helpful.
