The nurse practitioners are not educated well enough, on how to interact with patients who suffer from mental illness. Likely not their fault due to unusually high work loads, but still, I experienced this first hand. I suffer from Bipolar Disorder, a condition not unlike arthritis, which I also have, or diabetes. I inherited these illnesses, through no fault of my own, purely genetics, yet, more often than not, I am treated with prejudice, judgement, and disrespect...would they, I wonder...treat a cancer patient the same way...I, as a tax paying citizen of this community, would like to see more licensed therapists available to address, and treat the specific needs of the mentally ill.

Was visiting my boyfriend in Dunnville when all of a sudden, I felt dizzy, lightheaded, disoriented, with headache and joint pain. Was seen by a doctor within 15 minutes of arrival. Blood tests, urine test and ecg all done within 30 minutes of arrival. Results came in within an hour and was released within an hour and a half. Male doctor was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend coming here for an emergency. The nurses were also great. Thank you so much!!

I suggest if you have a bad experience at this hospital you contact them via email you can find it online I cant remember the email adress but I messaged 2 different ones I found on their site reason being if enough people speak up MAYBE something will be done.. I have had horrific experiences at this hospital and I never hear anything good on others behalf. They do not properly examine and test their patients they simply look at you (mis)diagnose you & send you home either in severe pain or medication that doesnt work.. or they get angy with you for going their in the first place. I was prescribed a medication at one point while breastfeeding and I was told it was completely safe but upon getting a second opinion I discovered it was not.. thats just one example of many that could have had grave effects if I were to trust that Dr.

Emergency dept is amazing! DO NOT get admitted there! 3rd floor nursing staff on a particular shift does NOT care about their patients. Had to listen in the night as they gossiped about the sick people whining and not bothering to check certain patients because they were dying anyway! So disgusted. Their attitude got so bad I pulled my IV and walked out.

I am shocked that this hospital doesn't have a better overall rating. Everyone is very friendly and care is excellent. I'm so glad we live in a town with a nice hospital ????

went to er the other day and they were short staffed it seems but the do it or on shift was amazing and so diligent and you could tell she reallly really really cares about her patients. the nurses on the other hand, one in particular, name starts with "L" and rhymes with "isa". she was so incredibly rude and aggressive and then loved saying sorry in the most sarcastic way while pushing on my wound while dressing it. she is a terrible nurse. she made comments that made me uncomfortable and i believe that's NOT what a nurse is trained to do. maybe time to reconsider training for some(especially the one individual) or maybe just fire that non personable "lady". she'd do a lot better collecting garbages or something.

The Nurses and DR Beal took such good care of my girlfriend char last night....Everyone of them so courteous and passionate for the patients they treat is amazing....The wait time was amazing and Quick thank you to everyone who worked last night ..

The wait times are crazzzy long! But this is the normal I guess in the country ... the nursing staff is super nice, some doctors are more personable and carrying than others. Some won't even see you after a 9 hour wait. But hey 5 stars for that one doctor (dr Kobah) that cared and talked to me.

The "nurse" won't give you their full name when you call because they're terrified of being accountable for any of the misinformation or attitude that they tell you. Thanks Sean or Shawn. They won't tell you if there are any active cases of COVID-19 in the hospital. The general culture of the hospital seems to be impunity on many levels of operation. Immature and unprofessional.

I highly recommend that you only visit the emergency room if you have a minor issue, such as the need for stitches, etc. If you require any in depth analysis or diagnosis it would be beneficial for you to get to a facility in Hamilton if at all possible. My personal experience has been less than favorable.

Disgusting experience. Would not recommend. They allow 1 person in at a time. Regardless if the person you brought to the emergency room needs your assistance, mentally or physically.

Would. Like too say how great I was treated on Sunday February 21st. Had pains in my chest and back was brought in by ambulance. Once at emergency was greeted with respect and compassion. Once in my room every effort was made to try and get blood and an Intervenous in my arm which was very difficult and took many tries. Wish had gotten the names of the nurses so could thank them by name. Was sent for X-rays and CT scan. Turns out I had over done doing chores at home and probably pulled some muscles. The only person that I got a name from was a Dr Joe. I am a dialysis patient end get to lots of front line health care worker’s regularly and these were outstanding. Would just like to say thank you. You made a scary situation a lot less traumatic. Thanks again Adrian.
