Super friendly staff and good doctor!, the Go to walk in in Penticton!
The intake person was very kind & polite. I like the way this clinic operates. The Dr. I spoke with (Z.W.) was very thorough in my assessment. I will use this clinic again, if needed! Thank You !
Dr Collier is rude and doesnt listen to patients concerns.. he didnt even let me finish talking before he left the room. Completely disappointed in my care.
Great location and very helpful
Its true this place is better then going to a family doctor if you have one, thing is i had a family doctor but he was never around .The doctors in this place are the best by far .If you have one of these doctors as your personal doctor you are very lucky .
I have been going to this clinic for a few years now. The doctors have always been good - no bad experiences there, HOWEVER, I find the front desk staff to be extremely rude, curt and not helpful. I can appreciate that it is a tough job, especially in a Walk in clinic environment, but I've had more negative and repeat bad experiences than good; enough times to come here and write about it now. Staff might need some patience, tolerance and emotional intelligence training.
Excellent care by all the doctors at this clinic. Waits are not too long.
I've been to this walk-in three times now. It's very clean. The staff were friendly and courteous. One time the receptionist noticed snow melting on the floor in front of a patient with a walker. She immediately grabbed paper towels and started mopping up the mess so that the patient wouldn't slip. It can be a very busy location so arrive early. This is to ensure you're actually seen since in BC walk-in clinics have a maximum number of patients the doctors can see each day. Once they hit that number they legally have to close for the day.
For the most part it’s okay don’t have an issue with doctors here. However blonde receptionist caused me to have a panick attack today. She was a terrible listener who made me repeat myself 10 times and got mad I got upset when reality is people who have zero listening skill have no right to work a job like that and should get written up or taught to listen. Also almost got kicked out and she really seems to hate people with mental illnees and rubs the fact she mentally stable in peoples faces. Had she been better at listening and not told me to calm down when she was in the wrong this wouldn’t have happened. But the others times I have came in everything was fine. So normally would be a better review but give That blonde lady listening listens and train her how to not sure her hate to mentally ill. And if she not willing to be less rude fire her!
Been a couple times, sometimes slow and sometimes totally empty/really fast. But always a great place to wait as the mall gives you easy things to do while waiting for your turn. Plus having london drugs right there means no 2nd stop to get the pills. I recommend and I'll be back.
The one receptionist there is so rude ???? it's actually depressing how some people can be towards people they don't even know. Happiness is key. Remember that.
They keep the door locked and ask to call. But they never answer the phone. I saw a receptionist inside and she didn't care to pick up the phone or come to the door and check with us. This is one of the two walk-in clinics in Penticton but no luck to get in there. So disappointing!
Not a walk in clinic anymore despite the sign ......
Horrible place to go! I’ve been waiting for them to call me for a day or so ago, And there has be no response! The only time they will call you, is when it’s getting close to their store closing hours. What a way for health care at Peach City Medical & URGENT CARE! So much for the doctors and receptionist
Man, I don't mind this place since usually everyone is polite and the facility is nice and clean, but they are impossible to get ahold of. They need some type of automated call-waiting system, especially since every single appointment needs to be called in during pandemic restrictions. You either get a busy signal every time you call or the phone rings off the hook. I had to call 5 times throughout the day and I only finally was answered very hastily right before they closed. Hopefully someone calls me back tomorrow as promised.
Staff extremely rude and un caring. Doctors rush you through the turnstile as there is always more people waiting. They randomly pick a time in the afternoon to stop taking patients. Doctors misdiagnose as they don't spend enough time with patients. They don't accept phone calls for their 2 hour lunch between 1130am and 130pm. Bottom line, bad health care and they don't care.
Been coming here for years for emergencies. Doctors do what they can with such a busy schedule. Receptionists have always been kind and polite. They are doing a great job with these crazy covid times.
I have never experienced such an incompetent healthcare service. I phoned at 9am sharp this morning for an appointment and I was advised that I would receive a call back within a few hours. It is now 4.30pm and no call back despite me phoning at 1pm to enquire about my place in the queue due to being in pain with an infection. This is absolutely disgraceful for healthcare.
Horrible place!! Not at all recommended. Even if it’s the last place on the planet. They say they’re open until 5 but the receptionist says that the doctors already left at it was only 2 pm. Why even bother keeping the place open? They ask to call and book appointment but no person talks to you when you call. It just goes on the recording. I drove from Osoyoos because of agonizing chest pain and didn’t even get a chance to book an appointment in person. The lady seems to be in too much hurry amd was not helpful at all. This experience is starting to make me hate small town life!
I came in, sat for 3 hrs waiting - that is expected for a walk in. I saw the doctor for 2 mins - tops, he never even examined me, just prescribed pills and ordered blood work. No further instructions as to what to expect afterwards. The receptionist that day was nice. When I requested a copy of my results they said they would print it and let me come in and get it. When I drove the half hr to get there, they were closed. I am now in another province and called to ask how to go about getting this information now, the (different) receptionist was rude, did not listen to me therefore gave me wrong information. I just want my blood test results, I don't need to be treated like an annoyance at a place that is supposed to help you feel better. Summary; They are in a public sector that requires empathy and patience and are not providing that. I do not recommend this location.
great!
Terrible service went in and hour before closing and they said they were closed and couldn’t help me
Wouldn't trust them with my health. Front desk is incompetent and short tempered. They must not treat their staff well bevause they are miserable. Better off going to apple plaza walk in and getting actual service
Worst place ever! Been a week I've been trying to see the doctor but always get the run-around. And when I do get through and go to get blood work like He (the doctor) suggested, they don't have any paperwork for me there from him. Waste of time. Avoid this place if possible!
First of all, you are at the clinic to get medical advice not to make friends with the staff. I have been at this clinic multiple times over the past year and NEVER have I been treated poorly. The front staff can be overwhelmed at times (this is a walk in clinic after all) but they are always polite and give excellent and accurate information. Regarding the Doctors,, they are thorough and resourceful. Remembering that this is a walk in clinic and they often never see the same patient more than a few times ( so developing a lifelong relationship is unlikely). I have an immune disorder that they discovered and had tests done for, that my own Doctor did not think of. I was referred and got into a specialist within a month. Sometimes perspective is a very interesting friend. Penticton is a small community and you have no idea how lucky you are to have good medical services. A walk in clinic on the coast will take you 3-4 hours and blood work 2 hours. Relax!
Great treatment and patient care for us today. Thank you.
Have always been good to me. Best care I've ever had.
Very rude front desk staff. Everytime I'm in there she is snippy and rude. This has not just happened to me. I've had people in my life say the same thing. It's too bad because the doctor is really nice.
Had to wait 1.15 hrs then was told that I would have to wait for another 1 hour. I wasn’t super thrilled ????
Dr. O'Neil seen my gf, gave her 20 seconds, said he would prescribe her medication and send it electronically to London Drugs Pharmacy, then took off. He ended up not sending it, almost impossible to see doctors right now, and now 3 days later her infection is spreading and lymph nodes are red. Not impressed and am considering reporting him, as according to the receptionist, he does that a lot! She said that there was no record of the prescription and my gf couldn't get in for a few days. Update from 1 to 2 stars: The office management got ahold of me and apologized, and found the prescription, 4 days later.
The front desk females are not very nice, they are always grumpy and never happy. Be prepared to stay all day here, takes 2-3 hrs just to see a doctor. I have been misdiagnosed here many times ending up in the hospital.
Receptionist is extremely rude and uncaring doctors seam to be alright
So very unimpressed, our level of health care keeps declining, doctor couldn't take ten seconds to come and speak to me about my child. All I know is if I'm ever truly sick I would cross the border to see a doctor.
Terrible. I've never had such a bad experience nor have i been to a dr office that's so scared of their pens being touched. After freaking on me when trying to reach for a pen they refuse to put a jar of pens on the desk due to fear of being stabbed, while insisting the desk is their personal property and we are not to touch the desk they have us stand at when waiting on them. The receptionist was an instant unpleasant spazz that made me feel awkward and uneasy. She quoted that they've got 2 charges on people already, and I really feel for those people since I'd guess the receptionist was the agitator and cause of those situations. Not a pleasant experience.
Always great doctors and are very considerate
Doctors have been really good. Line ups have been lenghly. Receptionist not that friendly most of the time.
Receptionist very rude and not welcoming.
Receptions are rude ...doctors are good ...never less than a 2 hr wait but it is both a walkin and family dr office so walkins get put in between schedualed appointments
Rude receptionist . Poor service with regards to call backs from doctors. Tried to even go to the door was told sorry can't make appointments with family doctor who works there.
If I could give them a negative star I would. Awful experience here with the women at reception. They're extremely rude and should be fired.
my doctor is nice & that's the only good thing i can say. The reception staff are extremely rude & ill tempered, lots of huffing & attitude over the phone like its all a big inconvenience to them. I really don't feel confident with how I am being treated/examined as I haven't seen any doctors in person - its all over the phone... I don't understand why the doctors aren't seeing anyone when dentists, pharmacists, lab techs etc are all still customer facing with covid precautions. I haven't even been asked to fill in a new patient intake form & was given a prescription without even being asked if i have allergies. seems pretty negligent to not even have one face to face with a new patient.
Terrible. The front staff was abusive and hostile and blamed me for their incompetence. A doctor told me someone would call me me back within an hour. Iwaited all day and nothing. So I called in the next morning and the staff member named Kim blew me off and refused my request for an appointment in the most abusive fasion I have ever been subjected to anywhere. I've never been sujected to that kind of treatment by office staff anywhere. Just a horrible experience. Do not go here
They open at 8am stop taking calls at 10am ! They are great!
Doctor O'Neil treated my friend with the utmost care, decency, and respect. Doctor O'Neil also communicated with the E R Doctors, in such a manner, that the correct tests were ordered, and a proper diagnosis FINALLY made. He is a consummate professional.
Receptionist walked away right as i arrived, and did not return for 10 mins while 4 people lined up to wait to check in. She then told me my situation was not urgent and that she would not book me in... When i asked about another walk in clinic in town she said they were all "closed today" and the rest of the weekend. Only to find out the apple walk in clinic is open all weekend. Tsk tsk.
courteous, professional and well run. Although very busy I was seen in less than an hour wait. The doctor was great. I would highly reccommend this facility.
7 years a client Always first class service Reception is great Doctors are knowledgeable your well looked after Thanks
Good doctors and staff.
Doctor here is great ????. Girl at the desk is rude
TERRIBLE service. Called at least 10 times, no one picked up. I could see the worker inside. Finally I was put on hold for 15 mins and no one came back. How are you going to run a business and not answer a single call. Save your time and go somewhere else. Such a joke.
Dr. O'Neill is absolutely wonderful and one of the only doctors who actually seems to care and listen. He has been really thorough with questions and asking about my concerns. But there is a receptionist here who is extremely rude, and has been every time I've come in person. My most recent visit, I got a big eye roll and cold, exasperated tone of voice when I came for an in person appointment, despite being polite and friendly. My mom is a medical professional and I always try my best to be understanding because I know receptionists and nurses take a lot of abuse from patients, but its really hard when you're made to feel like an unwelcome burden as soon as you enter. Also, a small thing, but you're supposed to knock when you arrive for an in person appointment, and you don't know if anyone heard you because no one waves or acknowledges you at all until they're off the phone and able to come answer the door. No problem- but I feel bad continuing to knock every couple minutes since I'm unsure if anyone heard (you can't see anyone if they're sitting) and I'm not trying to be impatient. My second to last visit, I knocked every 10min, and they ended up being away from the desk so I didn't get let in until I finally called the phone. Would be great if they would just wave a hand over top of the desk so you know they'll be with you when they're free instead of continuing to stand in the cold and knock.
The girls at the front are rude and uncaring of patients.very arguementtive with patients. Drs are very good.
Staff very good, never a long wait, and the doctors have been great. I gave up my regular doctor because of waits an hour or longer. I doubt I've had to wait over 10 minutes at this clinic.
Rude costumer service
The third time I have left my number and asked for a call and no one calls you back? But you can't go in to see a Dr without them having called you first. Pathetic excuse for a community medical service.
Everyone there are very cold and rude would not go back again.
Very kind and professional receptionist. Dr. Ross O’Neil (sp.?) was amazing with our little one including great suggestions for things we can do at home to help. Everyone took their time to listen and clearly explain. Would definitely come back here.
The receptionist accepted one gentleman, then made us wait over 10 minutes to rudely tell me they were closed (about 1:30 on a Saturday). Not impressed, I would give it a zero
not open Sundays is a complete joke
Unfortunately I am changing my 5 star rating today. Not only were the front desk staff completely ignorant but basically calling me a liar and dumb. In saying that, once you get past the rude staff, the doctors have always been helpful for our Family!!
always found staff very friendly and considerate and the doctors are super!!
