Just moved to the area. The vet and tech were extremely professional. My cat is 6 years old and she HATES getting her nails cut. The team here handled her with extreme professionalism and etiquette you can only get from years of experience. Doctor suggested rabies shot, deworming and flea medication (as a preventive measure). Very reasonable price 60$ for an exam. Only thing is I felt as thought I was being upsold, which is fine because Everything vet suggested was relatively needed (with the exception of the flea medication). But took it as it seemed like a reasonable price for $25.00. Thank you, I will be back. You can tell that this vet cares highly for animals. Chatted for a bit with him and he disclosed to me that he was a vet back home to all sorts of animals, which is what I like to hear. Very impressed by the place. Thank you!! He seemed to care about my cat but when i had to come back a week later he wanted more money after he set recheck was free so i could not go back again as i am on a budget he is about the money not the animal he doesnt care at all No misunderstanding you flat out lied you dont care about the animals you put on a good show but i saw thru that fast

Wonderful vet - we are first time pet parents and the staff patiently answered all of our questions and gave us great advice. The staff was very friendly and the clinic is very clean. Whenever we were worried about our dog they would they would answer any questions we had over the phone and was able to offer same day wellness check if needed. I highly recommend this clinic if you live in the Oshawa area.

Horrible Brought puppy in march and the vet seemed scared. He barely did any check up and had to bring her in not even month later to different vet. NEVER GOING BACK Not to mention my girl brought her cat in to get anal glands popped and get medicine but barely did anything and gave medicine that did not work and have to bring her into different vet also ALSO NEVER GOING BACK Worst vet. Doesnt care for animals. Only cash Have to pay 50$ each visit You dont have to pay 50 each visit at bloor street animal hospital !

I am by far the type to leave any kind of review for anything or anyone. Until today that is.Had an appointment today April 16th 2020 with Dr.Grewal @ Central Oshawa Animal Hospital. I cannot stress enough to anyone who may be reading this review how much it means to me to have finally found a proper, educated, well mannered, respectful, informative & all about my dog the vet Dr.Grewal his assistant Barabra were. They went above & beyond my expectations. Extremely thorough examination from my dog's snout right to the very tip of his tail. Very honest, NOT ALL ABOUT THE MONEY, THEY ARE ALL ABOUT THE ANIMALS. I have a 15 week old puppy & he got his last set of vaccines, rabies shot & a couple other boosters he needed. The vet took to time to explain all of the vaccines to me, did the vaccines so gentle to my pup that he didn't even yelp. I absolutely reccomend Oshawa Central Animal Hospital. I rated the vet & staff the 5 stars, very well earned.

We Love Coming Here! Not only are my 2 cats, 1 dog made to feel more than welcome, we're all treated like we matter. To date, my dog's anal gland problem was fixed with meds in less than 2 days. My 1 cat who has asthma rarely needs his inhaler anymore and my other cat who was diagnosed with early kidney failure has reacted well to meds and has resumed all daily activity with no sign of slowing down. Both the Doctor and the Reception/Medical Assistants genuinely care about their customers and it shows in the patience, time taken to treat them. My one regret is that I didn't find this vet sooner. He's far more affordable than other vets.

Our cat had issues. We called in and were put in to be seen the next day. The next day, we got the x-ray, and we discovered a needle in her body. They sent us home that day with medication and the surgery was scheduled the following day. After they surgery, we were given more medication and we were told to monitor her for the next 3 days to make sure she was doing good. The next day, our cat threw up indicating internal bleeding. We called first thing in the morning, and told them what happened. They didn't sound concern at all about the situation, and just told us to continue to monitor her, then they scheduled us to come in the next day as they were all booked that day. That night, our cat passed away. The vet does seem to be compassionate and knowledgeable about animals, and they seemed to care more for the wellbeing of the pets rather than their pockets. However, if you're in urgent need, I'd recommend looking else-where because due to the scale of the clinic, it may not be able handle urgent-schedule in animals. I regret having trusted this establishment with our dear family member. The clinic is small and is not fit to allow for quick appointment scheduling, especially if it might be urgent. We will miss our cat dearly and we can't help but to think how different it would have been if we went to another clinic nearby. We've visited one to schedule a cremation, and in that first walk-in appointment in under 15 minutes, our now deceased pet received more care and attention than she did in this establishment in the first 24 hours. We wish that our cat was provided with the attention and support that she deserved, and I regret having made the decision to come to this establishment.

I went to 2 other vets and my dog was getting worse..I called Dr. Iqbal Grewal and went to see him..he helped my Shitzu to get back on her feet. I had already spent a lot money and he was kind enough to not charge me too much money for the visit and medication. I am truly grateful and will continue to keep going back to this Animal Hospital. I highly recommend Dr. Grewal.

My friend took her cat here and had nothing but issues. They were extremely unprofessional and almost killed her cat, she was there to have her cat spayed and had to go back twice for emergency surgeries to fix their mistakes. They have now filtered out her review and we believe that they are making fake positive reviews. Will never go here and I recommend you to do the same.

Misdiagnosed my dog, and did nothing to help him. My dog died 6 hours after visiting this vets office. Absolutely do NOT recommend. I think he needs to go back to school and brush up on being a veterinarian.

The veterinarian who works here is a piece of work... Please keep in mind I only chose this vet because one of cats does NOT travel well (car sickness, losing his bladder/bowels, etc) and this place is within walking distance of my home. Firstly, even though there was no one else in the clinic at all, it took 20-30 min (at least) from check in to the point where the vet finally entered the examination room. Secondly, he wasn't very gentle, in my opinion, and definitely didn't seem to even like my cat. Next, when I asked for an estimate of all the procedures/meds, he again took at least 15-20 minutes to return from the empty waiting room. While we went over the estimate he stated that cats should be de-wormed twice yearly (completely untrue for a healthy, strictly indoor cat, but I agreed to the dose since he was being treated for fleas as well), and vaccinated yearly (this is recommended, but can be bi-annually at least). He also highly recommended blood work for my obese kitty (I don't disagree with this, but it was an extra $200). When I decided to postpone the blood work, he then changed the price of two de-worming pills from $20 total to $20 each (at this point, fine whatever). It then took at least half an hour for them to get together all my papers, pay my bill, get my meds, and finally leave will my poor baby screamed about being back in the carrier. Once I got home I realized the ear drops they gave me for his infection indicated they were for dogs. I called my other (trusted) vet and they advised me they DIDN'T KNOW IF THEY WERE SAFE FOR CATS AS THEY HAD NEVER PRESCRIBED THEM FOR CATS. This info is coming from a vet who has been in business for 20-30 years! I then went to back to Centre Street Animal Hospital where they attempted to overcharge me for the correct drops. I showed them my bill from my trusted vet and they finally agreed to trade them free of charge. I also had to ask them if I could buy the subsequent months' flea drops as they were not offered and it was assumed I would bring my super anxious cat back each month for subsequent treatments (no other vet does this, in my experience, and I bet they would have tried to charge me another exam fee each time too). He also tried to get me to book the blood work saying he would give me a "deal" and not charge me the exam fee for that visit. AND! While he cleaned my cat's ears to examine their condition, he told me he was doing me a favour by not charging me for the ear cleaning (also not something any other vet has done in my experience). LONG story short, if you are considering giving this place a try, I wouldn't recommend it, unless it's an absolute emergency. And even then, there's an emergency vet clinic in Whitby (and it's 24 hours).

Today I had an emergency situation with my dog. I called 11 different vets in Durham Region. All of them refused to even look at my boy without ridiculous fees paid upfront. Having no access to funds right that moment, this made it impossible to get the care he needed. Then I called Dr Grewal's office. I spoke to a lovely girl, Hailey, & explained the situation. She spoke with him & had me bring in my dog immediately. He treated my boy right away & I was able to return with a payment later. His office was clean. His rates are extremely reasonable. His receptionist was sweet. Most of all, Dr Grewal has a huge heart. I can't thank them enough for the help he gave me. I will definitely be keeping him as our regular vet. Highly recommend this office.

So far the only thing I've use him for is once when Piper got flees! She 13 but has alway been very laid back and relaxed! So I wasn't worried that she would try and make a run for it, he allowed her to sniff the whole office first before weighing her! Wow! 13 years old and the perfect weight, just an even 8 pounds! Gave me the flee Meds and off we went!. I feel good vibes from the vet, so I'm taking her back at the end of September for her shots. Well Piper! Look like we found you new doctor! I'd like to first say. #1 the vet here is compassionate, caring and NOT at all about the money. I saw some reviews that almost made me second guess coming here. But I decided that I need to see for myself. Our cat was on the verge of dying. She is like a child to us. The doctor showed us every step he was taking in action to our Tooty, she needed pyometra surgery, and a spay. He took time to show us xrays, and was a delight to speak to. He is knowledgeable, and courteous. The cost was 1,000 cheaper than anywhere else. I dont know about saying hes about money. He is running a business, and people dont work for free. I know if we didnt have all the money they would work something out with us. Professional, kind. I recommend this vet to anyone. The ladies at the front desk are warm, and inviting. My baby girl is recovering quickly. All thanks to this vet. We get the gift of her life. And I cant be thankful enough for them saving her life... 10 stars. 100 stars. 1 000 thank you.

We took our dog, Dash, here a few times. The first was just for a check up and shots, etc., which was fine. About a month ago we brought Dash in when we suspected he had an ear infection. The vet looked at him, confirmed the infection, and gave us antibiotics and ear drops. We followed the instructions he gave us and the directions on the bottles, but Dash didn't get better. When we went back, we were told we had been giving him the wrong dosage. The label said 1 pill at each meal, but it was supposed to say 2. With no apology, and another $130 down the drain, we had to restart. The vet was not very understanding of our situation, and made it seem like it was OUR fault this had happened, and that we were too stupid to know how to correctly give ear drops. They also very consistently would not give us the correct number of pills. They would give us instructions for a certain amount of pills for a certain amount of days, and we would either run out or have too many. Long story short, we've switched vets. On the bright side, they were always polite, and always able to get us in same day.

Sadly my beloved best friend and family member had to be put down very suddenly less than two weeks ago. Breana not sure of exact spelling was so nice , and thoughtful and sent a lovely card . It's nice to see people who have the right disposition for there field of work. I have anxiety and she was very calm and nice to every member of my household . She did not make the hardest day of our lives any harder. I would recommend this clinic to any one with a pet.

I went almost a year ago, when my cat was extremely sick. This place was our second opinion because the first place told us that my cat would need to have a hospital stay. My cat got a checkup here and the vet lightly pet him and said he's extremely sick and that we shouldn't waste our money on a hospital stay and we should just put him down. we got a third opinion from a different vet and they said all he needed was insulin and now a year later he is still alive. The vet also kept referring to my male cat as "It" even though i kept saying his name and saying "he". Extremely unprofessional place.

Hello fellow pet and vet clinic goers, names kyle moore and I'm reviewing the central oshawa animal hospital. This facility is a small cozy little building situated on center and Richmond, the office atmosphere when entering is professional and welcoming with products and prices displayed for food at the front as well as other provisions ranging from toys to leashes on a well designed product board. Upon entering the staff was very welcoming and very knowledgeable about what I was looking for in this case a medical brand of cat food for my cat with urinary issues. The staff were very helpful in helping me choose the right brand and type of food to best suit my cats needs, this has been going on for about 5 months in which I am always greeted and leave with a good attitude when I deal with them. I'd recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for a clinic or has questions about how they can care or find care for a pet in need.

Dr. Grewal is doing a great job of taking good care of our dog Voltron, a Yorkshire Terrier. When we got the dog, it has ear infection. So me and my husband brought him to Dr. Grewal and he gave us some antibiotic drops for our dog's ears to be used for 7 days. After finishing the meds, the foul smell coming from both his ears were gone. His fees are also very reasonable. Thank you Dr. Grewal.

Called around before I came in with my border collie today for vaccines and flea treatment .was pleasantly surprised that the exam fee was only $49.50 and accepted me as a walk-in same day. .my previous vet would charge me $80+!! just to see my dog! Very happy with the services I received and the doctor even took the time to answer my questions and even made sure I understood my dogs vaccine schedule..highly recommend this place

Our cat's spaying was a total disaster. We had to rush the cat to an emergency clinic after the surgery to have it redone which cost a tremendous amount of money. She suffered enormously and it was a terrible experience.

My aunt took her cat here for help after she found blood in her urine and the vet said her cat needed $500 in bloodwork. That's absurd! I've been to vets all over the GTA over the years and that's the most outrageous price I've honestly ever seen. Find another vet, unless you enjoy wasting your hard earned money!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Im writing this because I don't want it to happen to someone else. Earlier In the year I took my cat here because he was not eating or drinking and had blood in his urine. They did some test and took some samples from him. Told me he may do may not need surgery. When I asked if it was serious and if he would be okay he just kept saying we will see. He sent me home with antibiotics and another medication for pain. The next morning I gave him the medications as prescribed and later that day he was dead. After spending over $1000. They had zero compassion and didn't care one bit. It was so sudden and unexpected we were in shock and devastated. I called the clinic and requested his bloodwork reports and there were numerous things on there that were TRIPLE what they should have been. So many red flags! DO NOT TAKE UR CAT HERE! especially if it's urgent. Would 100% not recommend. Then they wanna sit on here replying that all these people are not on file and didn't ever visit the clinic ???? what a joke. Nice way to try and save your as*** nice try, but that ain't gonna work. Here is the report ????
