Came in for a minor procedure and was out in an hour. Staff were really sweet and helpful. The doctor was also very accommodating and skilled. I highly suggest coming to this hospital as they take great care of you.

Really wonderful staff in hospital including ER nurses, technicians and dietary / cafeteria staff! Surprisingly I thoroughly enjoyed the cafeteria food.

The place was empty. So much for Covid crowding !

My girl friend had some abdominal pain she went into the hospital they treated her for strep throat not even reason she went in for. She suffered for a few months until she had to go to a hospital instead going to another hospital. She had to have emergency removal of her gallbladder removed. Barry's bay hospital dismissed it like there was nothing wrong with her.

Dr Steven Chen is the bomb, he showed us how he attaches a scalpel before he cut my foot up. Great clean stitches A+. Valerie the emergency rn gave a fantastic tetanus shot... Didn't even feel it. In and out after 6 stiches 1.5 hours

If you're looking for a place to speak to ppl you know..a senior citizen. You might like this place. If you're in any kind of pain; labor, stitches, m.s. cancer.. Go elsewhere. The nurses seem freindly enough..The place feels like a cover. It has the appearance of a hospital...but it's really more of a hospice. A retirement home. Doctors in locum; Someone who has authority to power trip. Replacement doctors with no common sense. That's the type I was greeted with today. A young, east indian, smart... know it all. Not a lick of common Sense. I always assumed all doctors had it, I was wrong. It took everything I had to go there today, I have m.s. and it comes with chronic pain. I take pain meds. My doctor has since retired. A doctor came in to the room, pamphlet in hand. She had her mind made up, before coming into the room. According to this pamphlet, there's an opiod crisis. I'm assuming doctors are the blame? The physicians and hospitals are taking a United front. If you're in search of a doctor, forget about it. There not accepting patients. If you go to the hospital, you will fall in the same bracket as an addict, and be given a pamphlet. It's outrageous. ...Where did all the common sense go? A person should be able to tell the difference between, drug seeking and someone who's suffering. Especially a doctor.

Terrible! My friend's leg was ruined because they put the cast on too tight ... although the nurses are pretty hot!

Cut my arm with a tile and fixed me up. Couole hours I was out. I'd you people complaining about wait time. Its who you voted for.

Ares Mai

When in at 11:30am in June, one no one ahead of me in waiting room. Secretary said my wait would be about an hour.... After an hour and a half I asked for an update and the emerg secretary was rude and said at least another hour. After 3 hours of waiting I was finally seen. The emerg nurse and doctor were nice though at least. Changing my rating from 1 star to 5 star. Had to go in again and the front desk staff was friendly, doctor was great and the wait was not too long.

Make you feel you are not important make you wait and don't consider your anxiety levels

this place has gone into the dumps. when I needed help, they seemed so disorganized & was not interested at all! i was given the wrong pills thank god i asked

This hospital is the worst for so many reasons.... diagnosing my daughter with kidney failure and leukaemia when she was severely dehydrated, then sending my husband home twice and told him it’s allergies and was a brain tumour and last but not least sending my father home to take care of himself without a discharge plan and he can’t even stand up or walk up steps to the bathroom..... thanks to these brilliant drs that think they know everything maybe start caring about people instead of the pay cheque. However the one nurse that took care of dad was really nice

Terrible heard nurses yelling at patients. Seemed medical attention looked at me said I don't think ur in pain. Said I'm too young to be in pain. That I should be healthy without any diagnosis. Just sent me for an xray like it was solution for everything. The doctor was very condisending toward me. I clearly tore something and should be looked at. Just want you out and not have to do a lot of work unless your elderly.

This hospital may be small but the hearts of the staff make up for it in a big way. Nurses, docs, technicians, etc. all go above and beyond their duties. We've been bringing summer scouting camp cases here for years, ranging from small persistent pains to some fairly severe traumas. We were always treated promptly (case load permitting) and received great care. I wish the hospital in my hometown provided such quality service. Keep up the good work!

After a fall at Algonquin Park I was brought to St. Francis Mem. by ambulance where I was treated for a broken arm. The Dr. , staff and radiologist and EMT's were excellent. Their kindness and attention made me feel well taken care of. Once the bones were set I was sent to Ottawa Civic for surgery where they commented how well the arm was set. They have my sincere thanks.

the girls working there look so tired and disinterested. they are clearly understaffed. i called for help because i can't get up on my own and no one came for 20 minutes. i don't blame the nurse because she was so busy caring for sicker people. my nurse said she hasn't had a summer vacation for several years because they keep getting rid of people. shame on the managers for treating people this way and creating this mess!!!!

I brought my 94 year old Mom to BBay to stay with me after a bad fall. She had to go to Emergency and she was also admitted for a few days. I cannot say how appreciative I am of the care she received both in Emergency and in the hospital. The doctors and all of the nurses and even the cleaning staff were very nice and responsive to her needs. Dr. Malinowski and Dr. JJ were excellent! Thank you so much. We are so lucky to have St. Francis Hospital and the professional staff in our home town. Thank you!

worst hospital ever I have been refused twice

What are they thinking at that hospital? I went in waited for hours the nurse would talk to me like he doesnt believe a thing i say. I found out that i tore three ligaments in my back. from another hospital but prior i went to barry's bay. I have no family doctor will be moving away cause if something serious happen ill fear for my life to go there.

Changed my mind after yesterday visit. Apparently the hospital is short of staff and overworked. Today someone explain it to me few issues they have to deal with. The staff is very nice . Yesterday was the same , but the waiting was awful long . So I give today 3.5 stars instead of 1 yesterday .

Watch and Look Up!

A very good hospital for the remote location. The night nurses were very nice to us in our emergency.

Nothing here is confidential; Dr. Malinowski and his wife, Andrea run this hospital, along with their favorite friends and family. Dr. Malinowski is an arrogant and socially inept bigot from the valley. Have anything personal to discuss about yourself or your child, then go to an urban hospital!

Lisa Pederson

Came to the hospital Easter Sunday because my son had an ear infection. The nurse was great, bringing him a cloth wrapped heat pack, Tylenol and water. The Doctor gave us antibiotics (since everything was closed) and explained that his eardrum may rupture and what that would look like... It did rupture when we got home and because the doctor had explained the symptoms beforehand we weren't panicked/ alarmed to see blood. Otherwise we would've been! Great care, in and out in 40 minutes!

Laura Lee

Terrible hospital ... nurses refused to wake up md ... saying it was life or death ... do not go to this hospital

Cindy Guyatt

Awesome care for my dad. He wants to stay!!!
