This is the worst hospital I have ever seen. The floor plan or layout map can’t be found online or website, there is no way for the new patient or visitor to make plans to come. Totally confused. Spent too much time walking around the building to find entrance to the right department. Very unfriendly for new users.

Very unprofessional and rude doctors and nurses in emergency departments, They treat you like animals specifically the two nurses their names/ nessez / natalia this place NEEDS TO BE SHUD DOWN. They took blood tests from my wife, the nurse takes out the needles from my wife's arms unprofessionally because my wife's arms bleeding for 30 min . We should sue the hospital because after a week my wife still has pain in her arms.

The nurses here seem very unenthusiastic about helping anyone, be it patients or visiting family. The time we visited, despite being practically empty the wait time to see a doctor was 9 hours for an elderly women weak and in pain. During that wait the ER nurse was practically detached from her duties when it came to minding the patient's comfort, and especially hygiene. Another group of nurses stood around gossiping while directing all inquiries to the empty nurses station, which when notified of said emptiness remarked to "wait until someone comes back" and carried on yammering. All they needed was a water cooler to complete the scene. The only glint of enthusiasm came when one nurse had a visitor thrown out for being rude to her, when that visitor angrily told said nurse not to be so rude to them in the first place. They seemed much more expedient when it came to flaunting what authority they had over patrons than assisting anyone in need. I doubt many people have a choice in what hospital they end up having to take or see their loved ones, but that state and attitudes of the nurses here is surely just disappointing to the entire profession and would be a shame to nurses who actually care about patients. If you have a choice go elsewhere, there are many hospitals in the region with a much better bedside manner. As a follow up the nurses once past the ER seem to a decent degree of concern for their patients, but are possibly understaffed as they seem much less abundant than the ER, but actually working.

My experience at this hospital was quite unpleasant to say the least. After my surgery, the nurses did not provide me with much information about the recovery process. All I got was reassurance that because my procedure was only an appendectomy, I should not be worried as I would be discharged soon. This sort of attitude by the nurse made me feel like they just wanted kick me out so they have room to admit the next patient. During my time of discharge, there was likely a shift change because I had not seen my initial nurse for at least 3 hours, and I ended up receiving my discharge instructions from another nurse that didn't even make it clear if she was assigned to me or not. This was my first time being admitted to a hospital and not being able to understand most of what was going on made me very anxious. Overall, just based off my personal experience, I don't think I would want to come back to this hospital in particular.

Amazing stuff and Dr. My 4 year old daughter had a 4 tooth fillings done. And they had to put her to sleep to do so. And the stuff and dr from day surgery unit to recovery they were amazing and very very professional. Def recommend this hospital.

We were at Scarborough hospital Birchmount site at maternity ward for borning my daughter on Nov 22. We had a great experience. All the staff were very professional, kind and helpful. I really appreciate all the maternity ward team specially Dr.Qin who made a great decision and Nurse Aylin who was really helpful and effective to help Dr Qin to make decision to do C-section in an emergency situation.

Bad experience overall! The staff are unprofessional and the nurses were on a rush and caused me some issues due to mistakes that could have been avoided!

I have given birth here and I've also been here several times for my family...the staff is GREAT... People giving 1 star should go to AMERICA where they have to PAY $50K for an MRI...or CT scan...wake up! And, please don't believe the nutters that come into ER in a FRENZY and say the staff is unprofessional...these individuals think they're Paris Hilton and want immediate attention for their cut finger. I was there just last week. Their situation was NUMBER ONE, and the rest of us that waited patiently had to WAIT while she pranced around like the Queen. Honestly, GET OVER YOURSELF AND GET TO THE BACK OF THE LINE. You're causing confusion and frustration and the staff CAN'T DO THEIR JOB...which means longer wait times for EVERYONE. We're all in ER for a REASON...The staff KNOWS what's URGENT and what's just irrational and the staff doesn't put up with their madness...It's A GREAT HOSPITAL!

One of the best hospital specially the maternity family section, we read a lot of bad comments about this hospital, but it might be some other divisions but we had the best experience so far. Very expert and respectful nurses and doctors, clean and very responsive. Thanks to Dr Costa, Dr silver, The professional nurses specially Faizan, she was very helpful, Rajamani, clara, sehra and others who I forget their names. Thank you all.

Chakshu Sharma

Worst hospital, staff is so rude. U should not be a doctor or a nurse if you hate people. Please choose some other profession dont be cruel to people. Never visit here people. They are not worth your time

I had my vaccine at the Scarborough Grace clinic i was afraid the young Doctor was amazing she made me feel very comfortable and was very informative about vaccine. And made me feel safe. I recommend to anyone wanting to get shot to go to this clinic. Its walk in so you can go when you feel comfortable

My wife delivered our baby 2 weeks ago here. Not sure how there are so much negative reviews. We had wonderful support and experience during the course. We heart fully thank Pourna and Dr Jagadeesh along with Pediatrician Dr Tseng and few others whom I forgot the names. Pourna was Phenomenal support for us. Unfortunately OB is moving to General which is the only Sad part. Well we had one slight issue with the assessment report during discharge for which I have raised the feedback form, hopefully it gets resolved. Overall its a positive experience.

Many yrs ago, I was doing my X ray middle of the night, the old staffs (white staff). he is so rush and no care to place my arm s ray without any protection, I was so painful until next day and realize what he done, and complain to the Doc there. He told me should not get more x ray within 3-5 yrs, then later file complain to hospital and answer me back low dosage radiation acceptable. then I never go back and near the hospital since. Then, 2 days I went back what a surprise, all change, new management, new staffs and professional. haven't see that old white union staff anymore

So i went it for concussion last week for a precautionary x-ray for head injury, and just to do a weeks update on the injection I received by the staff at the emergency in Scarborough Health Network - Birchmount, last week due to concussion* and they injected me in my arm* with so called anti-inflammatory injection, it keeps getting worst and worst... Is this normal? does everyone bruise up with these injections? or the staff has no qualifications and or authorized to apply injections improperly? because if it is than I feel really sorry for every patient entering this place. They also MSG you telling you to write "Patient and Family Member Feedback Form", but their network sucks their too!!! Takes like 20 mins for the page to load, after you put your info and click send, it never sends, just keeps loading, tried refreshing page, clearing cookies, cache, tried multiple networks, multiple different computers...

Booked my appointment for my COVID-19 two days before. Got to the centre and gave all of my information and started to lineup. The lineup was almost 40 minutes and the weather was quite cold. Staff were nice despite being very clearly stressed. Lots of respect to them

Bita Barkhordarian

I had my day surgery on Oct 18, 2021 and everything was so smooth and nicely done. Staff was so kind and attending and it took me 4 hrs to go in and out.

I called today to check for a relative that got in an accident and there’s three scarborough gen hospital. This lady on this line has been very rude and not helpful. She kept ending the call when I told her a couple of times that it’s an emergency. Like at maccowan they told us to call the hospitals to check if the patient is admitted there. However, it’s very disappointing since those who is suppose to help people are the ones that are not willing to help and very rude. WORST AND RUDE STAFF, AWFUL SERVICE. These staffs HATE PEOPLE SUCH *HYPOCRITES*

andre

There were a few nurses who acted very condescending and always had a scowl on their face. Staff often do not wear medical gloves even when administering injections, a complete lack of care for their patients. Only good experience was the staff who wheeled patients out of the building, was a kind lady.

I called to rebook an appointment for a cancelled cortisol injection which I was referred to get at the diagnostic imaging department in Scarborough Grace. Originally my appointment was the beginning of March, I was told that the hospital would call me back to rebook once it was safe to do so during Covid. Due to being in immense pain I called the hospital to see if there were any updates regarding my appointment. There was some confusion with the main switch board to get to the right department but once I did get through to the digital imaging department a woman by the name of Melissa answered. I explained I didn't receive a call back regarding my cortisol shot and because I'm in a lot of pain to the point where I can not lift my arm, I decided call back and see how soon I can get in. She responded by telling me she just sat down on her desk with a pile of patients she has to contact because the clinic just started calling back patients this week to rebook. She was obviously frustrated because she went on to tell me she just started working on it, and that the person that "normally" does this isnt here. I said my issue isnt about not getting a call back I just want to know how soon I can get an appointment for my shot. She said its not a "quick" thing it takes time, my injection has to get approved by a radiologist. I asked what are the steps to that, she said have my recquisition faxed over (which I did) and that he will look at it in the morning to see if its one of the injections that are approved by the government. She was getting more impatient, and short with me when I asked what is the criteria for government standards approved injections, she said she doesnt know shes just a receptionist. At this point I realized I wasnt going to receive fair or compassionate customer service from her and asked for a manager. Another woman came on the phone and said im not the manager but my colleague gave you the right information and we are following protocol. I said my issue isnt with the protocol and I work in clinic admin myself so if she doesnt know the details of our interaction, I dont need her opinion or feedback, id just like to speak to the manager. She responded if i work in clinic admin I should know better than to "bully" them. And then hung up the phone and did not transfer me to a manager. I called back and she apologized and said the phone disconnected. I want to clarify that me doing my own due diligence as a patient and being proactive in my care by asking questions and seeking information about the process and necessary steps to getting my injectiont isnt a judgement on their work ethic. It shouldnt have been taken personally instead, it was me making sure that an appointment is even possible or if my injection is allowed under "government standards" because I would need to determine if I need to take alternate routes to receive pain management. The fact that I was met with such hostility was uncalled for. I have compassion for frontline workers but it doesnt justify such unprofessional and insensitive interaction with patients. I dont know if this is reflection of the hospital or this specific staff, but there clearly needs to be something done to alleviate Melissa's workload so she doesnt project her stress onto undeserving patients.

This place shouldn't exist. It's basically a third world ER room... the E.R. room on the 70s show M*A*S*H looks better and seems to be run better as well somehow. And you can just imagine the talent they attract. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place at all costs. Go to a walk in, you'll honestly have a better experience.

So, last night after struggling with 'uncontrollable coughs, and shakes', I got to Scarborough Grace Emergency, from the time I arrived, to TRIAGE, and REGISTRATION, to being examined, Chest X-rays and ECG, good news NO Pneumonia, just a pesky Bug, hand full of Inhalers, and Antibiotics, I was out of there within 2 hours. Feeling MUCH better, Thanks to The Nurses, and Doctors, Scarborough Grace Hospital 'Best Care Anywhere".

Ana Vukelić

Person over the phone in the emergency department is obnoxiously rude! If you can't handle the stress of your job please give us a favor and stay home instead

Came in today and the staff here is just phenomenal! I was a mess of emotions and every single person I came into contact with was kind and understanding. Phenomenal team work and organization. Thank you so very much for everything you do.

Before I start, I'd just like to say that I will try and make this review as unbiased as possible. I would like to take this time to warn everyone of a nurse who works in the triage area of Emergency at this hospital. She has short brown hair, glasses and is one of the staff who are supposed to assess you when you first come into emergency. She is extremely rude, and will not take you seriously until you are either dead or passed out. I came across this character twice during my two visits to Scarbourough Grace Hospital which were separated by a span of three years 2014/2017; and on both occasions, she was extremely rude and childish. First of all, allow me to give you some background information about myself. I am a professional by trade--a Grade 4 teacher, and even my students behave better than this. On Thursday, I admitted myself into emergency as I truly felt I was in a life and death situation that day. For once in my life, I felt that there could be a possibility of death based on the way I was feeling. My conversation with the triage nurse went as follows: "I really need help, I feel like I'm dying." "No you're not, you need to wait in line like everyone else. What makes you think you're more entitled than anyone else?" "This is an emergency; if I felt it wasn't, I wouldn't be so persistent right now." "Stop working yourself up." "Are you serious right now?" I really tried to be as professional as I could in my dialogue with the nurse. Yes, there were several people sitting down waiting to be signed in at triage by this nurse, but based on the way they were sitting, they did not seem like they were dying at that very instant. If I did not feel the way I did that day, I would've sat down, and politely waited like everyone else. But this feeling was different. I had never felt this way, and I could slowly feel myself start to black out. She continued to refuse to help me, and suddenly I felt myself pass out. Even then, she said to the other staff who began to rush to my aid--- "He's just been acting like that, he's all worked up." When you are in this situation, falling to the ground, about to pass out, and you hear this coming from the nurse, it does not particularly aid towards the situation at hand. As I was falling, I remember feeling appalled by her rude attitude and behaviour. I could not believe how unprofessional this nurse was. Yes, I understand that many patients come in and out of the hospital, and as the triage nurse, you may have to sometimes deal with patients who are difficult, but this is not the way to act towards everyone. Especially when my concern is legitimate. This nurse did not even take the time to stop, think, and consider that just maybe, this might actually in fact be a life or death situation. She just automatically assumed I was just working myself up and faking it. Needless to say, I ended up getting the help I needed that day, but only after I passed out. I'm just glad I survived. I do not recommend this hospital to anyone. As I said before, this triage nurse has short brown hair, glasses, and it was a Thursday on which she was working. I truly feel that she is incompetent, and should not be working at Scarborough Grace. If anyone has the same unpleasant experience with this nurse; please write about your experience and submit it as an online review, because people really do need to know.

I had an emergency csection 2 weeks ago, they did not let me do skin to skin with my baby at all, I even cried yet no. They did not teach me how to breastfeed nor did they help me change my pads. I ended up getting UTI because no nurse wanted to help me. I didnt know how to breastfeed kept asking for help no one helped, baby cried for milk and when I asked for forumal the nurses said ok but never got it for me. My baby cried all three nights out of hunger and no one seemed to care. The doctors are amazing and very helpful but I personally think most of the nurses especially the young ones should be fired!!! I even asked for painkillers as I was in so much pain yet they refuse to give me!!!! I regret it so much to have my baby here, I missed out on my babies skin to skin and now have trouble breast feeding. If you are planning to have a csection at this hospital please dont, you will regret as much as I did...they do not look after you! This hospital sucks! If I had a choice I would give this hospital No stars!

Sakina Bano

They have the worst Covid-19 doctor. Doctor is never on time and doesn't respect other people time. Only one doctor just to get your test results which takes forever and ever. It feels they don't realize the fact that they are exposing people more by making them wait for simple things like results especially to people who don't have it yet. Highly disappointed.

On Thursday, May 15, 2019. i came there as an Emergency case ( i had abdominal pain and back pain for 2 weeks) at around 2pm. I waited for an hour to my turn. Then i had my blood work and ultrasound. A doctor told me that i have CBD stone, told me to have a seat and wait for him to find me a doctor for my case. I waited there for more than 2 hour (around 6:30pm to 9pm) for him to come back and say that he couldn't find me a doctor for my case. Then he charged me $75 for Emergency doctor's assessment and treatment (even though i had already given my insurance card at the beginning). The guy also just preferred cash or cheque and did not accept visa or debit. I was so exhausted due to the whole day i did not eat anything for the blood work, i just wanted to go home at that time, so i had to walk to the ATM machine in the hospital to withdraw cash for him. Then he referred me to another doctor outside the hospital (until now i still do not understand why a hospital like this DOES NOT have a doctor for my case and have to refer me to an outside doctor). Really disappointed.

Very rude staff in emergency area. Came to visit my friend on 09/27/2018 at 9:35pm. The two brown women working there stopped me and said your other friend is there and you can’t go. I get it but why would you be so rude? You can say please wait let me call in and ask to bring your other friend out so You can go in. They act like they own the hospital. No seriously. No professionalism at all. Sounds like they dictating/ ordering what to do. I wish I could have give 0 star. Imagine your family or friend is sick in hospital and same thing happened to you. It’s a shame.

Pavan Rajani

This place doesn’t even deserve 1 star, horrible staff, horrible service, the staff doesn’t show any sort of empathy for people waiting for hours!! They take their own sweet time, apparently it takes 3 hours to set up ultra sound and 3 hours for your results. The emergency area is just pathetic. Third world countries offer better medical services then these guys

Heather Scagel

I gave birth here on Friday, and I had the best experience I could hope for in childbirth. I had seen the other bad reviews and I was a bit worried going in, but I was treated so well I had to come back here to give a good review. The entire Maternity staff was exceptional, being the perfect mix of kind, caring, and yet still professional. We were treated so well, and when my son had trouble feeding, they took so much extra care to help us get through it. I never worried once that I or my newborn weren't getting the proper care. Thanks to the entire staff for the great care.

Sir h

I have had top notch care at this hospital, and in my experience, staff went out of their way to ensure my health was taken seriously. They even provided me with taxi vouchers for all my follow-up appointments. I will always make this my first choice hospital:) thx Lulu for evening meeting me each time by the elevator!

Klee

There was a lady that worked in the emergency room that had a nasty attitude and had the audacity to talk smack about me with her colleague not even 5 meters away from me. Although most of the staff here weren't rude or as rude my overall experience was pretty bad.

Andrew Lai

Mom has allergic reaction in her leg, documentation indicated wrong leg, she didn't understand English and answered incorrectly her medication history and allergies at triage in ER. She's let in ER but we're prevented from going. Asked the nurse if one of us can translate, got a patronizing "if we need you will call you" not asking our contact. Improving process should not be based on prayers. Should those dedicated to the will being of others have some compassion?

Mihir Udyawar

The lady at the ambulatory care reception is very rude and arrogant. Though all the other staff were really good and caring. But that lady made mockery of my English in front of me and was giggling with her friend. I did not react then, since I was injured n my chin. This is not how you behave with people who are going through pain.

Sophia Wu

I am back so soon. I also think they are racist and very judgmental people at the hospital. Even though the nurses were of minority races they tended generously to a white man compared to us being asian and this one east asian older lady. Through the WHOLE night she was muttering trying to get attention but cannot speak english. So the nurse decides to yell "SPEAK ENGLISH SPEAK ENGLISH!" Like that would help the situation. She's been up the whole night with NO ONE tending to her. Who knows if she is in pain or soiled her pants. As a 19 year old I am offended by the way the system was run and how horrible they treat the patients. I feel so bad for the families they've probably scarred from ever returning to any hospitals at all. I know my grandfather hates it and will try to stay away. Someone needs to train some compassion into the nurses. They can be thick skinned to the rude patients i understand but bluntly ignoring weak patients is unacceptable.

Wei Wang

I have a good experience in this hospital. Thank you Dr. Joseph Chan.I appericiate that you doing the 7 hours surgery perfectly for my mom. Thank you Teresa and another nurse who work over night you doing your job perfectly.

nick wang

My wife in the hospital horned baby, had a nightmarish experience.the doctor did a bad caesarean operation, made my wife had blood clot and the worst is the second operation made my wife hemorrhoea, and less than eight hours did the third operation. the last operation made my wife numbness in both hands, and hysterectomies, now my wife hands and arms still weak, and almost vomit ever night.

Naureen M

Took my Son to emerg there...they were amazing. Everyone was so kind and helpful. We were in and out in about 2 hours.

Terry Choi

I did the COVID test here awhile ago. The lineup was organized and looked after. Also the staff was pretty patient and friendly too. Well I feel like the impatient ones are surprisingly among the people in the lineups.

Elmira SK

I went in to the Emergency room today for a very bad cut that was bleeding for almost a day. Staff were very nice and friendly. I was triaged by a nurse immediately and in less than 30 minutes got my turn to see the on call Doctor. Dr. Lee was incredible, very understanding and compassionate. He did a great job taking care of the cut. I couldn't ask for a nicer doctor. Thanks to all the staff at Birchmount Hospital.

Geo

This is the worst hospital ever , Waiting time was just horrible.... we have spent about 5 hours to see the doctor , staff doesn’t care if you feel bad or even if you will die and don’t prioritize their patients. If you have any other options- do not come over here.

Guerlande Prevalus

Not too long ago I took my 7 year old to that Hospital due to severe migraine. After staying more than 2 and half hour waitting in a room not even a nurse came to see me to check on my sick kid. When she was crying too much I went outside and started to complain after another 30 mn a nurse came to check on me . 1 hour later a doctor came. He did not even touch my child and he already assumed it's Covid and telling me there is nothing he can do (unbelievable). I had to tell him I did the test the day before. When he went and check he find out the test was negative . I am not sure where this doctor got his medical licence, he finally called the pediatrician, from there they transferred me to Centenary Hospital where she was Hospitalized. Long story short my daughter is now a sick kids patience. Scarborough Hospital the emergency department is terrible this is the worst Hospital to go to for emergency

Tey

I was at the hospital last week for the birth of my nephew. I would not recommend this hospital. The majority of nurses are miserable and rude. The looks and the treatment say it all, however there were a handful of nurses that were great (Andrea, Kirsi & the transfer Amanda) Dr. Silver who did the surgery was great as well. The room we got transferred to after surgery was filthy. The nurses had just tossed dirty bloody sheets on the chair instead of placing in the appropriate place. The bathroom was filled with dirty sheets and garbage from the previous patient. Overall not a good experience!

Kristine Clemetson

Poor food, service, neglectful, very neglectful. Go anywhere else. This is not a place to be sick in

Dun Don

I came to see a doctor due to my painfully injured leg. I waited four hours and they took care of people that came behind me. Eventually they claim they didn't see me, even though the room they put me was right in front of their line of vision. The doctors are unprofessional and nurses are ignorant. I feel sorry for the people who would have to deal that crew.

J P

Just left their COVID testing centre and I am beyond impressed. Everything was so clearly laid out, I waited less than 10 minutes after my appointment time, everyone was very nice and clear with directions. Protocols were strictly enforced to ensure everyone's safety and nurses seemed relaxed! Get tested if you have any symptoms!

Brian Barr

Went for my first Covid test. Very fast and efficient. Thank you to all the Angels working there (and all Health Care workers actually) for risking their own exposure. Never forget who true heroes are.

Francisco Ros

In complete order, the people waited patiently for their turn, and the professionalism and good treatment that is the Canadian label showed off once again. A huge recognition to all healthcare workers.

Liz Arcilla

This hospital was the worst experience I ever had. Since giving birth here on June 15th last year. During labor the left side of my kidney tube was obstract. Then June 13, this year my ohip was about to expitred I left from my work early to go to hospital because I had abnormal bleeding. It never happened to me before. That night after the doctor spoke to me I thought I was finished and I went home. They called me later that night, & told me I needed to return the next day to do a bunch of different test. I left that night because I thought everything was done. They never informed me that I need to stay and they know that my ohip already expired. The next day the lady at the counter told me to finish everything & then go to the finance office. She never informed me the all of these charges would occur and I would be charged lver $700 dollars. If I would have finihed everything the night before I would not have been charged anything. I honestly feel like I am being taken advantage of due too English being my 2nd language. Now I currently unemployed because I am waiting on my PR papers to be prossed. And recieving these bills was a big shock. I was waiting from 8am until 3pm which is what they are charging me for.

Gus Ijam

looking at all the older reviews and I'm not sure if my review will matter as it seems the general outlook of this hospital is as bad as it can get. to make a long story short, this hospital is probably the worst hospital I have seen in Ontario. it is dirty and smells really bad while I think people get sick going there instead of treated. we had an appointment for Xray for our 1.5 year old child and they made us wait 3 hours ( I mean the parking is a money maker for them at $4/ for each half hour ) . anyway I complained and I heard the "soorries" and we understand and we don't get to hear it a lot. all they have to do is talk to all the people in the waiting areas and see how bad they feel. I saw rude staff and old people that were waiting there for hours without care or attention. avoid going there at all cost

Fadadu Jaydip

My doctor's name was David. He was such a gentleman and caring doctor. He genuinely seems worried about his patients. Regarding overall hospital, Things move slow here. Mine was not an emergency case. I don't know how they handle actual emergency.

Alice Shen

The worst triage system I've ever experienced because it is non-existent. The triage nurse never showed up within the 90 minutes of my arrival this morning when I went with my dad who had a blunt head trauma. The nurse named "Balish", or whatever it was, refused to give ice to alleviate pain and told me off loudly to go to Tim Horton without giving directions of where that may be. If you are looking to get urgent health service in the context of trauma care, this might as well be the last place in Ontario you want to go to.

Claud Ouyang

My friend got a headache caused by high blood pressure, we went to the emergency room, waited for 20 mins and no one is there answering us. I asked a staff if he can find a nurse helping us, he said if it's not extremely emergency, just wait. The thing is if it's not an emergency situation why do we go to emergency room in the first place. Later, I reached a nurse to see my friend. After another long waiting, another nurse doing the basic tests was not able to draw blood because she cannot find vessel in my friend's arm. Then we waited another one and half hours till a doctor finally treat my friend, it's not really that busy there, they showed little compassion to patients. The doctor gave my friend a medical shot and pills and had another nurse drew blood from him for the blood test. And we had to wait another 1.5 hours for the blood test which should have been done from the beginning. It took us about 5 hours there, only less than one was used for tests and treatment, other than that was my friend waiting in pain.

Scarborough Grace needs Jesus. Jesus has compassion for everyone not Scarborough Grace.

My wife was in maternity ward giving birth to our bundle of Joy Aria. 2 of the nurses in the ward were absolutely amazing. They did more then we had ever expected. Thank you Robin and Madison. You are 2 amazing people. ☺️☺️

Khloe Lau

I remember having to get an MRI for my knee here. It was horrible. I was 9 at the time and very confused. The nurse that helped me sounded angry all the time and he stopped the MRI at one point and roughly shoved a pillow to keep my leg in place. After that he left without saying a word. I realize now that I was moving a bit too much but the nurse terrified me because of how roughly he treated me. I hated it and was too scared to go back for my surgery. I ended up pushing it back for 2 years untill I decided to get it done because of how painful it was.

Anuj Goyal

They have provided the phone number to get the information about covid 19. but when I called them the lady was so rude and didn't even provide the information and was told to book the test first and then find out the information and hung up the call So unprofessional and rude staff.

Zachary Lee

Did a day surgery here. Was okay, a bit confusing as I was here before and appointments, check-in and emergency were in a similar area making it easy to determine what you needed. Now they renovated the area and it's a bit confusing, for checkins, you go to appointments which is now around the corner from the emergency entrance and the emergency area is more confined. Overall, the nurses was nice and helpful. As most reviews says, don't go here for emergencies, the wait is unbelievable long(From experience) and when treated, it's not a guaranteed.

worst phone call ever WAITED 20 min for these incompetent staff to tell me "one moment" over and over again...

Had acute appendicitis several days ago and was admitted in the emergency department. Thank god that the staffs are so friendly and nice during the process, and the doctors have time so that I was lucky enough to have the operation two hours later after I arrived to the hospital. I had stayed in bed for several hours. Speaking of this, the room is very quiet and clean too. It have a big window that facing the road, one bed, and separate washroom. It’s like a room in hotel. The nurses also bought me warm blankets and waters too. Very cozy. Would give 10 out of 5❤️. Still, hopefully I won’t be admitted because of other sickness again ????

Was an inpatient first week of October. Reform.is necessary. Opened my eyes into mental Healthcare...and lack thereof. Negligence is rampant. Was told by Oliana, the negligent nurse who doubled my dosage to "stay at a starbucks". Again. Please don't ascertain people to their appearance.

What can i say abou tthe Scarborough Hospital located in the Heart of Scarborough Ontario. The best hospital in the region. Well equipped and well staffed. Still expect a wait in the emerge or ER but they make every attempt to get more important and critical care moving very quickly. The hospital is very modern with all types of areas of interest if you just want to walk around the property. Plenty of parking but expensive. you have to keep paying for a max of 24 hours, not the greatest but okay.

Vahini Franklin

I gave birth here. The nurses on this unit were great and we're helpful but what I found disturbing was Noone said anything to a girl who was smoking INSIDE the hospital. She would walk around smoking inside and I even noticed a ER PARAMEDIC walk by her without saying anything.

Eric C.

0 stars if that was even a selection. What does emergency mean? Emergency: a serious, unexpected, and often dangerous situation requiring immediate action. Expect to wait 3 hours for the emergency queue. Ridiculous. Place should be shut down as a walk-in clinic is even faster.

Comfort community hospital with professional assistance. Nice and friendly staff. Oh and there’s a full-service Tim Hortons in it. Patient Registration is not clearly stated though.

I think it is unfair that this hospital has such a low review score due to its emergency. The wait times of emergencies in Ontario are outrageous. On the other hand we had such an amazing experience in the maternity ward at this hospital. We came here for the delivery of our baby girl. We stayed here for 3 nights and interacted with at least 15-20 staff members. There was not a single bad experience. The staff was caring, professional and knowledgeable. We would like to mention a few special individuals. Thank you our nurses Sandra and Ashley during the delivery day. Thank you our Drs. Ambika Aneja and Karen Hew. Your dedication to wellness of us was nothing short of admiration. We are indebted as a family.

THE WORST HOSPITAL! I have been to this hospital 4 times, every time an emergency; twice for a friend, twice for myself. I feel the ENTIRE staff has been trained how to be rude to patients. 3 times we have come back with no treatment. I wish I could write how exactly I feel when I am here. They simply don't care about you. The doctors talk rudely too. We waited 4 hrs to be attended and no one came. My friend was crying with pain and the doctor passed by without even looking at him. Even an animal responds to crying humans! I hope the management sees my message and trains them to be empathetic. That's the least they can do to someone in pain!

We visited this hospital for the first time my wife was going throigh pain and suffering and were sent to this hospital by scarborough general hospital. January 10/2018 nurses were good and helpful but then we met dr Sivaji. This dr was unprofessional. Would not listen, and used lines like i do not care. I do not know. Did not let patient talk. Very ignorant man. I am surprised to see a dr like him still have a job in this hospital.

Emergency hours start by 3:30pm. Nurses and Doctores everyone is nice and profession, Emergency services system runs smoothly, Patients have been guide and divert to different waiting areas. Anyone who want to see a doctor here, first will check by one of the nurses with own health card. Then patient will sent to the register dask for paperwork, and then will be given a green board called chart for patient to bring back where near just checked by nurse station over a wall into holder. Then go back to the main waiting area sometime called " red chairs" , Wait till patient's name been call, a nurse will guide the patient for Necessary test, something like blood draw, and so on.. after finish those steps, then patient will be sent to a bed with overhead curtain that has a number on it, normally 1 to 4. One of the nurses will come and check on the patient and do other round checking , ask the same before and mark down on the chart again... It will takes a while to see the doctor....May hear someone talking just over the curtain... Anyways others will have the same experience... BTW, it about 2 hours from beginning till this step.. So after a half hour, a doctor came. He first self introduction, then have a friendly greetings with the patient back and forward. Than take notes about the patient's self describe, do some check ups. Then may sent the patient home with or without prescription. If need to do other test, as MIR, CT Xray.. then a nurse will guide the patient again to finish the procedure. Takes time to wait and get thing done and it worths.

I recently took my mother to emergency because of trouble breathing, loss of balance, appetite and speech. She had a stroke a few years ago and was initially treated there. I thought she had another stroke. She has been diagnosed with AVM, that is sometimes found in patients who have had strokes. I told all of this to the triage nurse but the nurse didn't know what AVM is, so I had to google it for the nurse along with the spelling. While my mom was with the triage nurse, I could hear two healthcare staff behind me talking one said the F&*(*(*(*** word. Once she was admitted the nurses and doctors were better and more professional. However another hiccup was after doing numerous blood tests, all the blood work she had done had gone missing so they had to do it all over again. My mother heard this with the nurses who were sitting directly in front of her at the nurses' station that her results were lost and one nurse wanted to complain to the hospital president to which another nurse advised 'no' don't do that. She ended up there for a few days and spent 2 days in a ward. On the last day I found my mother sitting in her own soiled bed for 2 hours. She told me that her nurse told her that she would change her bed after she got discharged later that day. I confronted the nurse directly and asked if she likes to sit in her own poop. If my mother ever gets sick again, I will not be taking her back here. Not only do I find the front line staff unprofessional, the hospital seems understaffed and underfunded. Very sad but true.

Had my MRI. Everyone from reception, to registration, to the technicians performing my MRI were professional. Very impressed. So much cleaner than the General.

Thank you so much to All the Nurses and staff here, especially to the nurses on the 3D ward, very caring and passionate in their care for patients. I can’t remember all names but Dr Islam, the initial ER Dr Ken (I believe ) really appreciate your help, Keep doing your best as you seek to assist those in need of excellent health care backed by great customer service. One Love ????????????????

Inconsiderate staff. Dr. Christopher Jyu diminishes your concerns by refuting that they are important or worth paying attention to. Prescribed me aspirin after I told them I have a reaction to it. Told me I don't have tonsillitis, then looked at my tonsils, and then said "That's why I'm prescribing you antibiotics," after I explained my symptoms in full (which he would not listen to at first). I got angry and raised my voice and then he yelled back at twice the volume. Please stay away from this doctor and this hospital if you have other options. Dismissive, inconsiderate, and tactless.

i love this hosp. if there was a 5hr wait at Grace and no one in line at Scarb General or Rouge valley....I WOULD GO TO GRACE and wait 5hrs. because the other two are complete garbage. even if it means waiting longer. because after getting treatment at rouge i would end up in Grace 24hrs later regardless... :) ATLEAST THE STAFF WONT TRY TO SHAME YOU

EVOxdream

had to wait for about 2 hours when me and my girlfriend first visited the e.r. usually, i wouldnt mind the wait as i am well aware how long hospital waiting times are, but for us to be told to just take pain killers (all visual assessments without any referrals for xrays, ct scans etc), i found that the wait wasnt justified. meanwhile, we visited north york gen not so long ago, and was immediately given an appointment for a next day ct scan. even tested reflexes and pain tolerance. none of these were done over here. (must have been just the doctor). i cant really NOT recommend this hospital, im just saying why 1 doctor would take more effort to assess a client compared to others.

It was a busy night last night, they were short staffed and I was there until 5am. However, I wanted to write a review about one person in specific. I don't remember her name, but she was the long haired blonde nurse on staff in the emergency department. She came in and made me feel comfortable as soon as I got to the room they put me in. the entire night she was very friendly and offered me food/juice/water quite often. She made me feel a lot better about being there and it honestly really helped. there was a roudy patient right next to me so she moved me to the furthest room from said patient so it wouldnt bother me as much. I didn't even ask for this but this honestly was the nicest gesture at the time. I just want to thank you, I'm sorry i forgot your name but you were a true gem last night. You deserve a raise!

Sophia Wang

Went in for MRI at mid night, feel really horrified by how bad the registration staff handled the COVID protocols. I have young babies at home so I prefer to read my health card number to them and show it to them. Staff member was clearly unhappy the fact I didn’t want to pass the card to him but just show it to him through the window. He answered‘I don’t even care’ when I explained to him that I have two infants at home so I need to be extra careful. Meanwhile, his mask was hanging below his nose and he doesn’t clean his hands with sanitizer after handling each patient. Why would I ever want him touching my healthcard and increase the risk to me and my family?! To others who need to visit this place, please please do what is best for you to protect you and your family. Wear a mask before stepping in the hospital and always use sanitizer after every time in contact with staff or doors. And don’t sit on chairs if you don’t have to. Be safe :)

My wife gave birth at the Scarborough hospital and the care provided by the staff at the NICU was exceptional. When we returned because my newborn was losing weight all the nurses and doctors have made us feel right at home for all the three extra days my wife stayed there. There are no words to describe the level of care and compassion the staff provided. Every need we had they addressed with the utmost professionalism every worry we had put to ease with friendly advice. To all the nurses and doctors in the Maternity and Pediatrics Ward a big Thank you! You made us start on the right foot.

Abinaya Nagendran

Very quick and effective. I just have one concern by the way the nurse dealt with me. She asked what my profession was. I didnt hear it properly the first time. So she repeated herself and without letting me answer, she was quick to follow it up with "Do you work at Tim Hortons?". Like, she saw my skin colour and was quick to conclude that Indians can only work at Tims or other unskilled employment. Treat everyone equally! If Covid-19 doesnt teach this lesson, I dont know what will

Jummpingbean

My husband went in with a leg injury from hockey. He sat for hours before anyone even delt with him. Docotors were telling and swearing about something who knows what it was. Nurses couldn't help with paperwork. Just useless ! He was told he had a sprained leg. We left and the next day went to Markham stoufville hospital to find out he had to have a major leg surgery! Such a joke this hospital is !! Stay clear !

Blue Sky

This place is a big jock there is no sense of emergency slow process it takes too long to see the nurse and the dr. it’s my first time in to this hospital one dr and one nurse is working in the emergency i fell so bad for them taking care of many patients.

richie law

Took my mother to the ER last week; I was very glad that she was in capable hands. I went there as well when I had a stroke. Thank you for your service; my gratitude and respect will never fade for the first responders. I encourage everyone to be patient not everything is "McDonald's" just imagine other countries that have no public health we are very blessed to be in a country that has free health care for everyone. (^__^)

raziya rafaideen

Emergency department is the worse, and disgusting. the nurses were rude, they were short on staff. they don’t know how to talk to their patients kindly. Never going there again smh.

V C

The maternity ward is amazing!! I had my first child in North York general and the experience was horrible. This time in Scarborough General everything was good. The nurses are nice and helpful. They don't talk you down or give you attitude when you ask for help (as in NYG). Here even they explain all the steps even how to bath the new born, they won't tell you you should have know this and that. The doctor is very good too. I did not have epidural and I had stitches and I don't have much pain afterwards (i had a lot of pain in NYG from the stitches but with epidural). Overall I am very happy that I came here this time.

Vinayakk Joshhi

Absolutely the worst place to go to if you have an emergency. I had to wait for more than 5 hours before I could go home. The staff is definitely the rudest people you’ll ever come across. They do not empathise with you but will infact, give you even more anxiety. Absolutely no system at all and no efficiency. Go to a walk in clinic and you’ll be freed way sooner. Do not go to this place, at all.

D Sandeep

Been to this for Covid assessment. It was arranged outside building in a mobile van. The people with covid symptoms had to stay in the cold to get their turn to get tested. And the results are expected to arrive in 2 days which doesn't happen in reality if you don't follow up with them multiple times.

Tim MacMillar

We were here for the maternity ward and the birth of our daughter. We had a great experience. All the staff and nurses were great. We had quite a few over our 2 days and everyone was professional, knowledgeable and kind. This is a smaller hospital but it didn't feel like the ward was too busy. We had a private room and it was comfortable. The room was a little dull but I think it is under going some renovations at this time. A few suggestions would be to bring some outside food or have family bring some. After 2 days of just Tim Hortons it gets a little redundant. Also, bringing a few pillows from home and a blanket if someone is going to be staying over is nice to add some extra comfort.

Chris and Katie Redford

I have been here for 5 days and nights and have experienced nothing other than. Professionalism, patience and compassion. The nurses are very overworked but they never make you feel as though your concerns are trivial. You should be proud of the team and if you receive treatment other than this, you might want to consider the source of the problem.

Angela Fok

Worst hospital ever! Do not bring your loved ones here. My grandma in law was placed in what looked like closet space. In pain and agony beside wires and closet supplies

Amy Huang

The nursing station in the emergency center lacked compassion. They were completely rude. The nurse just tossed us a pee bottle to use and empty ourselves. Took the doctors over 3 hours to look at the x-ray. The service is absolutely garbage. Save yourself the trouble of coming to this hospital and find yourself a better one. Edit: It's been almost 12 hour since we've checked into the emergency, and 5 hour since we've got the x-ray done. And a single doctor is yet to come look at the x-ray.

Maggie Shi

important information was not conveyed appropriately from physician to family care givers. my mother had sepsis shock and was transferred to ICU, but was told "just to monitor the blood pressure". the nurse measure diastolic blood pressure 120mmHg which is an error. she was chatting with another nurse and reluctant to re-measure.

Mike erskine

On Dec.9 and Dec.7 I went in for cataract surgery. I found the staff to be friend,y, professional and helpful. Very thankful for making both visits less stressful...

Sachin Saini

Don’t go this place avoid it any cost. I hate to say this but some of the nurses are really unprofessional and they just ignore u for few hours and behave very unprofessionally. Seriously go somewhere else specially if u going to emergency department

chii S

Dr. Andrew Organek is a phenomenal doctor. He addresses his patients respectfully and with incredible kindness. I've had experiences with doctors that seem desensitized to your condition. You could be near death and they'll say you're breathing, go home. I trusted Dr.Organek because he asked valuable questions regarding my health condition and used good reasoning and judgement. He is responsible and gives his best to his patients and does so fast and efficiently.

Had 2 horrible birthing exsperincings and my son had day surgery today hours late totally unorganized and absolutely miserable lady at the front desk .. she should not be working with people . Birchmount Hospital’s incompetency almost killed one of my family members this week. I took said-family to the emergency room, where they were triaged. The nurse rolled their eyes at the excruciating pain my loved-one was in as she took her vitals. The nurse then proceeded to rudely ask why she hadn’t taken painkillers if she was in pain (as if, during emergencies, where your organ has ruptured on an evening walk you would have Advil handy). SHN staff refused to provide a translator or allow any one family member to even accompany my loved-one to communicate. So much for “informed consent”. After 15+ hours of not having food or water and stabbing pains, they released my family member with a prescription for Aleve and was told to come back if the pain got worse, which it did. The waiting space was crammed, no social distancing was enforced. When we came back, they gave a CT and said there was an abnormality and they would need to do surgery. We got most the information from our family member who tried their best to comprehend medical terminology while in agonizing pain, to the point where they could barely talk or keep their phone upright. The staff and doctor did not speak with us until after a surgery we were told so little about. It’s unfortunate, that they did the surgery with minimal consulting with the family. I won’t go into details about the surgery as that is private, results were not what we wanted. I don’t want to pass the blame on the doctors as I am hopeful they tried their best. After surgery they did not call for updates, until we called and inquired to various rude staff who seemed bothered that we wanted to have updates about our loved-one especially during this pandemic when we weren’t allowed inside. My family member told us that they would not leave food by the bed but instead outside near the door. SHN, how could someone who got multiple surgical incisions be able to get up and walk to get their food? Do better. The nurses during the night were somewhat better than the ones in the morning who just kept patients waiting for hours while they did shift rotations. Please finish helping your patients before leaving your shift nurses, the least you can do it notify your patient that you are now ending your shift and someone is taking over instead of abruptly leaving without saying a thing (falls under common decency). (Side note: Ironically, the nurses that morning got cheers and bursting loud music from a van outside in the parking lot, unclear if the van with the led screen was with SHN. I’m all for showing appreciation to our nurses during times like these. However, from the service provided by the nurses at Birchmount, I would hold my applauses. I’ve seen over 40,000 people during the pandemic while working in healthcare myself and I try and treat patients with compassion and the last thing I would do is shrug-off their pain as if it’s a task, it’s a responsibility as healthcare workers to not do this work as a chore and be lazy, but engaged and passionate about genuinely helping others.) The saddest thing about all this is that the paramedics bringing patients in on stretchers even said “this hospital is sketch”. We should’ve listened, lesson learned. Ontario Healthcare needs improvement.

That would be a # under -100 id name it. Worst place u can end up.complette unpro ems docs there.u go for 1 pill they want to cut your heart, without even take your blood pressue.no wonder lawsuits are high

My son seemed to have a seizure at home. Took him to this hospital. Within less than half an hour he was sent out saying they dont see anything wrong with him. No blood tests no xrays no MRI. This was unacceptable

In past 4 months this is the second time my mom admitted here. Some nurse are professional kind and responsible but the hospital it self is falling apart the beds are out dated some broken no one were cleaning my mom room for almost whole day on the floor were dirty until the second day she moved to private room because of infection no one knew why she got that . I never want none of my dear one attend to this hospital. But I can't not tell that some nurses are so kind and caring. But they are overloaded with sometimes 6 or 7 patients. So how can we ask them more. The food are awfull. The elevators are not clean it's only one Tim Horton for purchase food so you better bring something . The Dr was good . But this place really need either to closed or upgraded . We are paying a lot of taxes and even deductions from our paycheck for Healthcare for such day like today to taking care of our love one . But this is what Canada's advertising for free Heath insurance is not worth it. I PREFERE TO USE ALL MY TAXESS ON GOOD HEATH CARE FOR MYSELF AND MY LOVEONE.Hope someone read this and pay attention. Canada is not what it used to be.

Emergency was not fully loaded with patients I quickly got my turn and was sent for a CT scan. Emerge doctor and all nurses are amazing. Surgeon came in and explained to me about my surgery. From that point on to when I was discharged it felt like I was being treated by my family. They didn’t let me feel alone for one bit. You guys are amazing. My thanks to the Day Surgery Unit staff for their friendly and caring attitude during my stay on Oct. 11/19!!! A special "Thank You" to RN Tommy who went out of his way to be of help to myself and my husband! Thanks also go to Dr. Latham and his OR-Team!! Excellent care!

Stephanie P

The ER was overrun and the doctor was over worked. The nurses were rude and one of them just walked away with the pain medication that was supposed to be administered to me and did not return for half an hour. The lack of compassion by half the staff was disappointing. Some of the nurses were wonderful. Overall a horrible experience and I wish the ambulance had brought me to another hospital instead.

Ann Alves

My husband was taken to the hospital three times between April 15 and June 17/19. The first time his vital signs were failing but the emergency doctors and nurses worked very hard on him to stable his condition. He was admitted immediately and taken very good care of. Since then, he was taken to emergency twice. My experience at this Scarborough Hospital - Birchmount has been very good, Don't be fooled by the size of the hospital. My thanks and appreciation to the staff.

Bill McKay

Nurses are great and personable. Everything done on time as scheduled. No real pain after the procedure except for the expected headache

Farhan Siddiq

Small hospital with an Excellent maternity ward. It's better to buy a $40 5 day pass if you'll be coming here for few times. Pass lasts for whole year. Small food court with Tim hortons.

Richard Bouchard

Had two MRIs at Birchmount recently conducted by Elias. This man deserves credit for the manner in which he conducts these procedures.

Melissa Rodrigues

Very pleased with my experience here. My husband has emergency surgery for his appendix and the staff really attended to him with great care. They were all so kind and very helpful. Would like to thank Dr. Nallapaneni, Dr. Nariman Malek, Dr. Padma Jain and the nurses, Leonora Delacruz, Tess Brown, Lee Ma, Efthimia Vagopoulos, Nida Noble.

Surprize Itsthetruth

Here is the 100 percent truth. This hospital has been run down for a while plenty of holes in the walls and there internet connection is horrible. This hospital needs more diagnostic imaging machines to help with the influx of emergency impatient patients as well as outpatient patients they need atleast 3 Ct scanners and 3 MRI machines. This will help with the back log of patients 1 CT scanner is not going to cut it. Please help this hospital they're in desperate need of these machines in order to help the residents in there community.

karim

Took my baby to hospital at 12 midnight as per suggestion by telehealth but one of the nurses telling my wife why you are here. However the telehealth line fax all the info to the hospital. Very careless nurses working at this branch. Have no manner how to speak with patients. If you are not doing this job then please look for something else.

Kay !

Horrible...... I can hear the nurses gossiping to each other about people's conditions and laughing about it. And I can remember which department it was too!.. wow..they were talking so loud the peoplepthat were waiting can hear and they laughed as well.. wow where is the respect and privacy for paitents? Extemely unprofessional. Won't ever be back here for care. I feel sorry for those who encounter those nurses. Stay the hell away from here!

Abe Shakir

STAY AWAY from Dr. Leong (Shaun Leong). (I RARELY EVER WRITE REVIEWS, BUT FOR THIS, I HAD TO) He talks like he knows what he's talking about, but is just full of it. He doesn't know how to speak with a patient's loved ones. He lacks basic 101 empathy that a human should have for another. He just sounds like a lifeless robot trying to sound smart. A loved one passed away under his care. (To be fair, the loved one was already quite ill before seeing him) But this dr clearly isn't one that wants to do all that he can, as he should, to help a patient and to show at least a little bit of empathy towards the loved ones, especially during a pandemic. I'm sure he made a few mistakes as well, but will never admit it. I know every facility has its good apples and bad apples. Unfortunately, sometimes we run into some of the latter ones in life. And it's not anyone's fault, because we just don't know sometimes and give people/facilities the benefit of the doubt. I'm happy that we at least have a review platform like this to warn others. Emergency ambulances should give people the option of choosing which hospital they would like a loved one to be transported to, so people can avoid pathetic places like this. I would recommend using a private ambulance (whether private or public, a bill will be given for both). Use a private one so you can at least avoid this hospital.

Thank you so much doctor Chang. The best Emergency experience of my life. I came for an ingrown toe nail i was out in like 1 hour. He is an amazing doctor. Thanks to all the staff as well overall i had an amazing experience ????

I took my wife to the emergency because she was extremely sick. Fever, vomiting etc. I understand the wait because they were busy. We were in chairs waiting for 5 hours. We witnessed people coming in that were not as severe as her (a girl literally came for a check up - we heard the convo) and left before us. To top it off my wife was pregnant. They left her with iv in her veins that were done atleast 1 hour. She was freezing cold, I asked the nurse for a blanket and they just looked at us and ignored. One nurse rudely just left after her shift. I have been to many hospitals but this was very bad. We are quiet polite people and understand people have bad days at work. So we kindly requested my wife be checked out immediately and we will sign any required documentation. I had to request this twice. Afterwards the doctor found out and checked my wife and gave her medication with prescriptions. Your profession is to care and deal with people. If you don't like it then don't do it. Nurses in the hospitals are rude and act as if they own the hospital. The doctors are always friendly. They should really evaluate nurses and fire a lot of them. There are many young new grad nurses that are looking for work and are very helpful. My taxes pay these people so why are they treating human beings this way? I could have lost my child. We are very upset. Guess what there is nothing we can do but leave these reviews.

I visited the emergency department today & the Triage area where you check in was empty so I waited for 7 minutes as 5 nurses 15 feet away from me talked and drank their Tim's coffee. My Concern Neeta was among them & should of been at her desk (The triage area). After patiently waiting 7 min, sitting in a wheel chair and in their clear site of view I asked them who is supposed to be working Triage. Their angry replies were: We have been working all night, relax we will come, be patient etc.... I am a professional (A Civil Engineer) when I go to work, I work & maintain a level of professionalism I expect the same from a nurse in the emergency department. After that Neeta made her way over and checked me in. While checking me in she gave me attitude, Its a shame everyone has excuses and does not do their job. However all the staff I encountered after the triage area was amazing, everyone else was respectful, helpful, professional and caring about all patients. Please I hope the management will look into this it is a shame that 1 employee can give your hospital such a bad name, especially since she is the 1st person the public deals with when entering. Seems Keven had the same problem as I did not to long ago.

Nancy Zhang

The doctors (not ER nurses nor ER entrance staff) were extremely nice. Underwent a surgery at this hospital at midnight, was suppose to leave in the morning. However, things went wrong and they allowed me to stay for one more night. The nurses that was working in the patient's rooms were helpful and nice. Overall, ER staff were rude, rushing, and pushy. But once you make it past the ER, staff (most that I encounter) are nice and friendly. There is wait time for everything. Even if you have an appointment.

I thank this hospital they save me and my baby best doctor how saved my baby when she born emergency operation been in ICU sick kids hospital and know she is 7years old thanks .

Jessica Moukhtar

The administration clerks are so rude, they didn’t even say your welcome when I said thank you. Management needs to train their front desk on customer service. Despite the very long wait in emerg the Dr is very sweet and kind. Nurse Irena is amazing I wish I can contact her manager to tell them how blessed and lucky they are to have a nurse like her.

I suffer with mental health and was hospitalized at the birch mount campus. After aver traumatic experience in the tegh I am a gay female and was horrorified after being locked up on a male ward at tehg.after I was discharged the next morning after refusing the tegh. I self admitted to the birch mount campus and was treated with respect and dignity and was assured that would not happen there with them. My experience with all the nurses and staff at the Scarborough campus was a very dignified and treatment was exemplary. Thier care has been fabulous. I am recovered should I need thier help. I would not hesitate.

One shot of 2nd dose of PHIZER took me 1 hr within a booked appointment... i arrived there at 8am, first their ipad system was down, which took them 30 mins to fix it, 2nd time, they said the vaccine was still in the phamacy and someone is going to grab them... that causes another 25 mins...shot procedure was fast tho, after all 12 people have been waiting 4 an hr and 10 mins, we were allow to leave...just get things ready!!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Took my daughter to emergency here after she had been throwing up and exhibiting flu symptoms, and was told that no one would see us for at least an hour and a half because they had a busy night. There were no other people in the waiting room, we were the only ones there. There was no compassion from the nurse, she didn't even look away from her computer, and the first thing she said was we would have to wait because they had a busy night, no greeting or anything. I don't care how busy their night was, my tax dollars pay their salaries so when I come in needing help, espically with a baby, and there are no other patients I shouldn't have to wait over an hour to see someone, that's ridiculous.

Came in to assist with my mother with her holter appointment. The nurses at the cardiac diagnostics testing were very professional and open to answer questions. However, we went to the general internal medicine clinic to ask for a clarification of our appointment dates, but the blonde secretary was very rude and unprofessional. My mom has difficulties communicating and understanding English, so the secretary began an entire rant about how my mom has never tried to call the hospital first to clarify. She states that someone always answers and that we should have tried that option first. I sincerely hope she was just having a bad day because that kind of behaviour should not be directed towards any patients, especially for something as simple as asking about an appointment date.

Doctors are very good in analysing medical issue and treat the patients with respect. A bad experience like my wife came along with me to take care during medical checkups, Iam having severe illness. The behaviour of staff is rude and there was a lady came in speaking that harshly that my wife is not allowed. The way of speaking is not good and showing ridiculous high attitude. She can convey us politely. But she did not, I suggest to make staff to educate polite speaking, as 50% of polite makes patient to cure 50% of illness.

The doctor there took my grandpa off blood thinner pills that he was on, and he had a stroke. We tried contacting the doctors to find out why, excuses after excuses, noone bothered to get back to us. My grandpa is unable to talk or walk because of the stroke, we had to move him into a nursing home because we cant take care of him. Dont go there. they are irresponsible.

I came at 9.30 pm and still waiting to be treated as the time is 3.45 am. I think all the doctors should be fired, no that will be too easy, they should take their creditionals away. They should not be allowed to practice. Health care is not free it’s a punishment if you go at night. Bloody disgusting and pathetic. I have visited third world countries hospitals but I never got a service like this.

I brought my adult son to this hospital yesterday. There was no waiting at all. The triage nurse had him moved into the resuscitation room immediately. He spent the day there and was subsequently transferred to ICU. He was seen by 3 different doctors, the RT team and RN's. Every single staff member was professional and very caring. I would not hesitate to return. This was not my first visit and I have never encountered rude staff or long wait times.

Mariam Tokhy

Friendly and professional staff, state-of-the-art technology, speedy service. The best hospital in Scarborough I’ve been to thus far. Thank you for making my experience a pleasant one.

Steven Giordano

My friend was refused treatment! He had to pay cash on the spot, cause he had sudden illness (no health coverage)"The Doctor said"if you dodnt pay the nurses will not treat you!!! buddy just treat him and bill him later...Bad ones need to go!!! even though there are good ones.

In and out of the ER within 45 min from entering the hospital. This includes a minor surgery. Wish i remembered the doc’s name to credit him herez

I agree with the reviews saying that some staff here can be rude, lack compassion and like to talk behind patients' backs. I had to come here to translate for my dad and a triage nurse on Saturday, Sept 1, 2018 at around 8:50am was rude and looked annoyed every time we couldn't answer her fast enough. When we were heading to the ambulatory care area, a receptionist and the rude triage nurse was talking behind our backs in a rude tone saying "He looks well to have problems. Why is he even here?". They both agreed on that and made some rude side remarks. You would think that since they work at a hospital they should know that not all problems are noticed on the outside. They thought I couldn't hear so now I'm wondering what else these people say behind patients' backs. It's quite worrisome that they judge people at a hospital. The wait times here are also ridiculous. You can be waiting here for hours. This is the closest hospital to us but I would not recommend this place.

I had my vaccine here. People were so friendly and guided me properly. They answered all my concerns and overall it was so satisfied. Thank you for your friendly service!

I took a covid test about a month ago for an upcoming surgery I was about to have. I got to stand on the priority line which wasn't that crowded, but the regular line was quite long. For the test, they took some basic information from and then took sample from my nose. They gave me an online link to see my test results.

I have made many complaints about both doctors and nurses I've had care from at this hospital. Which in my opinion were never really taken seriously. I have numerous encounters where I was not medically treated correctly. I have a few medical issues which have never been taken seriously, doctors are too quick to give pain meds and send you home than properly doing the testing and evaluations to see what's actually wrong. I suffered with an ovarian tortion (ovarie twisted) luckily within a few hours AFTER being sent home it flipped back. I immediately went to see my gyno. Who is the one who discovered what actually happened. The doctor who seen me never did any ultrasound just jumped to the conclusion it was a cyst. I was informed how lucky I was because I could have lost an ovarie. I have a few more horror stories but long story short I do not go to this hospital anymore unless it's life or death. Period.

I've been to this hospital twice for two emergencies. The first time I went was during summer break and I went around 12 am. I waited until 2 am which was when I got checked. I consulted with the ONE emergency doctor on duty for 3-5 minutes and he instantly knew what drugs I needed (apparently my illness was extremely common). The drugs took effect quite quickly and I was good again. The second time I went was last month... This time I arrived at approximately 6 pm. I noticed that either the hospital changed it's emergency setup or they had a different schedule for evening and midnight because there were TWO emergency doctors on duty. As a result, I got checked up after waiting an hour (much shorter wait time than last time), so that was good. The doctor that was treating me took really good care of me and paid attention to all my details on my illness, and he was also very friendly and polite. He ended up prescribing me the things that I needed and referred me to someone who could look into my illness with more knowledge. The prescription worked like it should have and I felt all better again. Not gonna name the doctor for privacy reasons, but thanks Mr. P! Overall, I think this place is not so bad coming from someone who went to this hospital twice for an emergency check-up. HOWEVER, I will say that my emergencies were not as severe as some of the other people who commented on this thread. I will say that you cannot cheat the wait line unless your on the edge of dying. In addition, the hospital did not look so clean and everyone that was coughing there made me feel like I was going to catch a sickness (but I guess this applies to every hospital). On the other hand, the nurse that assessed me before the pre check-up was nice (she was white with short pink hair), the nurse that assessed me before my doctor check-up was also nice (she was asian), and finally like I mentioned before, the doctor was amazing. This is just my opinion based on my experience with the hospital. It most likely will differ from everyone else's.

I am SO conflicted about this review. On the one hand, my sister came through the ER and was provided the right diagnosis immediately. She was in the ICU for two weeks followed by a week in intensive care and 9/10 of the nurses were simply AMAZING. The ER doctor was a little condescending but the specialist (contractor covering a mat leave) was phenomenal. On the other hand, I brought my dad to the ER here cause he wasn't feeling well with shortness of breath. They called our last name. When they were about to draw blood, we asked why it was necessary. The ER nurse responded non-chalantly with, "cause that's what the paperwork says". I asked her to double check and she was clearly irritated. Turns out there were THREE individuals in the ER with the same last night. They did not apologize and just laughed it off saying they couldn't believe there were three patients with the same last name. Unbelievable.

I am very pleasantly surprised by the staff of this hospital, starting from the entrance and ending after the surgery to the postoperative orthopedics ward where I am currently staying. All medical staff is so helpful and smiling that I feel at home and at one point I forgot that they were preparing me for hip replacement surgery. Congratulations to all of you for your hard work and such a great approach to it. I am delighted. I wish you a lot of fun ... Thank you

I am extremely grateful to Scarborough Grace Hospital (Birchmount campus) for not only saving my uncle's life, but also taking such good care of him during his almost week-long stay in the hospital. They had a quick turnaround time with the blood lab results that showed early symptoms of sepsis and they immediately called us to check him back in. They worked around the clock to find the cause and completed the necessary surgery needed to save his life in a short timeframe (time is of essence if you have a blood infection). From what my uncle described, he was provided with amazing, empathetic care the entire time - everyone from the PSWs, doctors, nurses, physiotherapist, etc. treated him with respect, dignity, patience, understanding, and were attentive - they accommodated even the smallest of needs that made a huge difference to his well-being. He said they took Covid precautions VERY seriously. Everything from the check-in to emergency to the discharge went smoothly. From my end, due to Covid restrictions, our family was not allowed to go visit him, which made us worry even more. However, during the times I could contact my uncle, all the nurses and doctors (from emergency to the department where he was eventually moved to) were beyond patient and understanding despite working under Covid conditions and tending to a lot of other patients at the same time. Scarborough Grace Hospital truly provides outstanding care to each and every one of their patients -- medically, physically, and emotionally. It is physically and mentally draining work yet they do it every single day for every single person. Thank you so much!!

I was very scared to do the MRI, being claustrophobic it was near impossible. But the reception, and Ken Pui (he performed the test) they were the best.. Made me very comfortable and deserve a pat on the back. Patience and understanding goes along way for people. Great job and thanks again

Due to COVID patients are supposed to be released soon after surgery. Seems like as soon as patient can walk, the release will happen. My mom had a knee replacement surgery. After the surgery it took a nurse of recovery room a few hours to be able to bring my mom's pain under control, yet a few minutes after she was transfered to unit 3A ward, 2 nurses and a physiotrap told her she has to start walking! They practically started pulling and pushing my screaming mom to make her walk so they could release her from hospital?! COVID or no COVID, that way of treating patients is insane. How can hospital management not act towards such behaviour?

tariq i

Wow. No words: Shannon Christie is a terrific nurse, person and professional. She really went above and beyond for my family and I. won’t ever have the appropriate words to thank her and the team at the hospital. Thanks for all that you do- for your patients and their family. God bless you all.

I came in to do a citi scan, the nurse injected IV missing my vein, and I ended up with inflated arm. The doctor came and just put ice on my arm and told me to go home, when I got home it got worse. Never ever going back there again unprofessional careless

Cool Girl

Worst place ever! You’re better off getting help from Google than the ER staff here. An absolute nightmare

Botchog Ramos

my wife is waiting for three hours but no effort was made to have her checked by the doctors nor nurses in the ER. she may have bacterial infection or worse and time is the essence all their nurses are just engaging in gossip and the on duty doctor just looked on the chart without doing anything. is it because the case is beyond their expertise or are they lazy and kills the time because their shift is ending soon? waste of tax payer money the people who are on duty from 2:00pm to 4:00pm eastern time. may i also ask is the green line in ER means slow and take your time line or maybe is this a hospital for the dead? No one even gave an advice on what to do all they always say is just wait.

Wilson Wu

Terrible receptionist answered my phone regarding a medical emergency and was as rude as you could get. She didn't listen to me at all, told me to go to the family doctor when I was told to go to the hospital directly by my family doctor. I tried explaining and she talked over me about irrelevant information and hung up.

parisa modaresi

the worst health center ever.I was screaming because of pain and no one even pay attention to give me a wheelchair. It took 3 hra till nurse give me the painkillers after doctors order and after my ivy finished it took another 2 hrs for someone to show off and take off the needle out . i was about to leave and go to sunnybrook hospital but the doctor came and start arguing with the nurses regarding their services.

Was there for a day surgery just 23rd Feb, 2017..the nurses and receptionist and the volunteer..were all amazing. The receptionist at the day surgery unit on the 23rd Feb. Morning.. was amazing ...and the nurses BEV and KIM too. The Radiologist Dr. Chan was awesome, the people who did my mammogram and biopsy were gentle and KIND..I was so touched......as people come with fear and anxiety, when they do such service is so touching..GOD BLESS EACH ONE. It was so pleasant experience, the Dr Nalapani ..and will not forget the men who take us in the stretcher..2 of them..oh, they made sure nothing gets knocked..and stretcher gets wheeled properly..so so beautiful... As I still remember in 2003, at St. Michaels, the guy who wheeled me...was running with me..and when he entered inside the elevator the stretcher toppled and I almost fell down...that DAY I was quite not well... I never complained, I thought that is the way they do LOL

My son went to ER with time sensitive situation. I was talk to MOA my son have a timely sensitive condition and she was approached right away and tell me to go to registration right away and she was bringing my son to exam room after triage. The emergency doctor was pretty young he knows what to do. Order to go to ultrasound and calm the surgeon to come to ER room. He went to surgery within golden time with Dr. Jonathan chan at the Scarborough grace. I have a concern about my son condition and Dr. Jonathan call my son right away asking about his condition. I am not complaining about this place. They know what to do. If the patient has extremely urgent condition they know what to do! Periods!

Victor E

Class action lawsuit worthy hospital. Scarborough Health Network, some* of your employees are not upholding their basic healthcare duties and violating patient rights. Bad experience at the ER. One of your nurses refused to help read a form out for proper understanding to someone who doesn’t understand English very well by saying “I don’t have time”. Maybe phone translators and make an effort to communicate information thoroughly. Wish I had filmed this, so there would be evidence. Beyond upsetting.

BRIAN Pape

First responders took me in for an infected bladder. They were professional in every way. From then on it was a series of beds and scans into ICU. Throughout the process of me fading in and out all nurses doctors were professional trying to take care of my needs. Despite a cautious diet I ended up with good soups, shepards pie and Salisbury steak. Couldn't taste better. Thank you nurses for all your care. Kept an upbeat attitude despite the sad circumstances around me.

pavi j

Please do not go to this hosiptal. This place should be shut down. The nurses and the doctors are so rude. My toodler was crying /screaming due to a high fever/illness. One of the nurse asked " why is he screaming " rolled her eyes. I was so shocked to hear. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE....

This hospital is fantastic. The doctors and nurses are wonderful and care about the patients coming in. The only downside of this hospital is the amount of people who congest the emergency room with colds and minor ailments they can go to their family doctors for. There are tons of family doctors and walk in clinics in the city for you to go to. Of course staff won't be nice to you if your coming in for something that is NOT an emergency. As a diabetic who wasn't able to eat for two days and needed emergency care (sent to hospital by family doctor) I had to leave Centenary hospital and come to this one due to the long wait. I'm glad the nurse at Scarborough Grace asks you why your coming into the emergency room as soon as you come in (unlike Centenary). It picks out those who need immediate care vs the idiots who should not be there.

Just had a MRI this morning and I am very impressed with my experience. Things are well organized. I walked in and was asked the COVID safety questions and given a mask and an orange wristband. Then went to register and the woman was really nice and friendly for 7:30 am :) When I arrived at the MRI location, I was asked several questions then asked to change. I didn't have to wait and went straight in. Both MRI Technologist Sruthy and Ken were very nice and really patient. Ken has a great sense of humor and is very cool. The hospital is fortunate have such amazing staff. I've had MRI's done before but I have never felt so comfortable and well taken care like as on this visit. COVID protocols were strictly enforced!

Robert L

Super unorganized and it's filled with rude workers. If I'm about to pass out from pain, and vomitting every 20 minutes, you best believe I don't want to wait 3 hours before I'm finally given medication. Such a horrible experience, and the workers do not help at all. Horrible place, I felt like I was in prison.

This is the continuation of my previous review on Scarborough General Hospital. After waiting for 3 and half hours at Scarborough General emergency, I left with my 95 year old father. Next morning I took my dad to Scarborough Grace. What a contrast! My dad got the treatment and when we left we spent 1 and half hour there. The number of other patients at the time for both hospitals are about the same. When we were there, there were about 6 or 7 patients in front of us. At General, I saw other patients who cam after us got the treatment first. At Grace, the doctor there was so efficient and he dealt with each patient promptly and I could see that all patients were satisfied with his treatment. Even the nurse there was very nice as he had to treat my dad's wound. They are in the same "network" but I would really recommend that you go to Grace I stead of General.

I work with customers everyday. It takes special people to help people. Today I had a steroid injection. From The volunteers to patient registration to the registration desk at Digital imaging to the so nice technician and doctor who administered the injection. Thank you. Your kindness and empathy were amazing. It did not go unnoticed. Thank you for loving to help people because it shows.

My mom passed away in this hospital on this day two years ago, she was 88. I hope this review will help the hospital and doctors do a better job in treating their patients. My mom had a massive stroke and was taken to this hospital by ambulance before I arrived. When I was trying to tend to my unconscious mother, I found the attending emergency doctor totally lack of empathy, I think the most urgent thing came to his mind was for me to consent the Do-Not-Resuscitate order - so my mom wouldn't waste the hospital resources? We knew mom was dying, we tried to make it as comfortable to her as possible so she could die in peace. We requested numerous times for a private room and didn't get any answers, and then was told there's only one private room in the whole hospital, but they had to reserve it for any potential patient with communicable decease. The night before mom died, mom was in a room with an alzheimer patient and she screamed all night long. Even an animal can choose a quiet place to die! What are we? Also, I've been hearing rumours from seniors living in the nearby buildings warning each other about the DNR orders and not to go into this hospital. This is a very dangerous perception!

My husband had emergency eye surgery last Friday (April 29th/16) and everyone was great. The only reason I didn't give more stars is that he has anxiety issues in medical situations due to a childhood trauma, and despite being informed, the day surgery staff didn't take it seriously enough until he broke down into full panic- attack mode. Had they paid more attention it could have been avoided with some anti-anxiety meds (or had they permitted him to take his own). Mental health issues still need to be taken more seriously and while I understand everyone is tense when facing surgery, some people's issues go beyond normal "nerves". Medical professionals caused his phobia and subsequently really need to be respectful of it. That said, all other aspects of his experience were handled wonderfully, by friendly, knowledgeable and professional staff. Thanks to all.

Sherbie Geffrard

The staffs on the phone are very rude, I called back twice and they just continue to hang up the phone on me. Start yelling back at me, very unnecessary. The COVID robot Machine lady is already confusing as it is. Very emotional staff as well, which is understood during this time but no need for the hostility especially if I’m willing to work with you! I had to BEG them to stop hanging up the phone on me ....

My father had an accident at work and cut off a portion of his finger causing it to bleed continuously and we had to go to the hospital, this location was the closest to us around 1PM. Upon walking into this hospital we stood at the resgistration desk for roughly 5 minutes and the white lady at the front desk had her eyes glued to her monitor without saying a word to us. I then had to ask her if she could help us and without finishing my sentence she interrupted me saying "give me a minute, I'm busy". I mean I would give you all day if it wasn't an emergency or maybe if she had said that to us upon arrival it would be more forgiving instead of acting as if she never even saw us. Finally 20 minutes later, she finally helped us and provided us with a chart to the waiting room. Update for 2:25PM, I've been in the waiting for nearly an hour and still waiting. The three nurse in front of me are having a nice conversation about Donald Trump. Let's not forget that we were the only people in the waiting area for the first 30 minutes, so I can't imagine how busy they really could be. Update for 2:30PM, they finally told us to have a seat on the bed. The doctor, however, was extremely kind but since it was the tip of the finger she was unable to perform surgery on it. The work was then passed back to the nurse which seemed extremely unskilled considering she had to go back and double check with the doctor on what to do. She finally came back, attempted to dress the finger and realized that it was too loose and asked us if we could stay at the hospital for a couple more hours to see if it stops bleeding. She then decided to ask another nurse for her suggestion. Final update at 3:05PM. My father doubted her ability to redo the dressing so we decided to just leave it as is and wrap it at another hospital. In conclusion, I would highly not recommend this hospital if it's an emergency.

Nicki Mcl

WORST HOSPITAL. I wouldn’t come here with a splinter. I spent about 24 hours in the emergency room and the nurses barely checked on me, and I had to cuss one of the RUDE nurses Who had told me to be patient after I have been sitting on their stiff chairs for about 10 hours already. In the ER they don’t give you water unless you ask about 10 times and you have to wait about two hours for the water. And I even had an ER doc tell me that I should be thankful because I’m sitting on one of the best recliners in the ER. Once I was administered I was treated very nice by the nurses upstairs God bless their souls, (Cherrie & Momta) but unfortunately due to the treatment I Received in the ER I will never come back. I had a few nurses that drew my blood even tell me that there was enough beds up here and there’s no reason why I should be waiting downstairs for about a day. I had a surgery here last year and it went well which is why I opted on coming here but this is the worst experience I have ever had. I would’ve had better luck going across the border and paying for care.

Sandra Mulcahey

Day surgery recovery unit...amazing, excellent care, fantastic nurses. Special thanks to Joy, Carlos & Kelly from Sandra

Colleen Walker

Great hospital and friendly efficient staff always. it's disappointing to see so many in emergency that should be a walk in clinic. Glad they re-direct some to family physicians in specific area to deal with these types of non-emergencies. We are so lucky to have such good care in Scarborough.

Poked me three time during MRI. Pulled out the syringe by accident once and spilled the blood all over. Reckless and incompetent.

If I can give 0 stars I would.. My mom was brought in last night When we called the Dr on the phone kept saying "I don't know I don't know ".. the worst hospital ever

I am bleeding heavy since 2 months and already eating birth controll pills they keep sending me home not doing my ultrasound. Donot allow me to see gynacologist. Later with gynacologist in 2 months was realized i had a miscarriage and they were so careless all the staff and doctor they just do not do any ultrasound and when my family doctor send me for d and c the doctors were telling me why you want D and C it has so many risks and started telling me the side effects and told me when some one is dying when we do D and C otherwise not. Seriously i was having miscarriage and baby was stuck inside and come out after gynacologist see me after 2 months and did my sonohystogaram which this hospital supposed to do and give care i hate this hospital seriously now they did not cared for me and i was having miscarriage

Darlene Chatten

I have been to emergency many times more so in the last 18 months. The staff are decent hardworking just trying to do the best they can. My chance to rant at others who have had a less than great interaction. Did you go for a real emergency, did you take your large family circle with you, did you wait 30 minutes and ask how long it would take? THOSE ARE SOME OF THE QUESTIONS I WOULD ASK MYSELF. Did you or your family eat anything when the nurse said nothing to eat or drink til you see the dr. Are there 3 of your family members sitting in the ambulatory section when you have been asked just one support person. If one does not want to ask those questions of themselves then maybe you should try to see the family dr. Having said that I understand that how hard it is to find a dr. That's why I have been going to emerge so often. Now the good things if you go in saying I think I may be having a heart attack they take an Eeg right away. Do you stay in the waiting room Nd listen for your name. I have had only one bad experience in all time I have been going there. I had a dr tell me to go home and lose weight and I would feel better. That's not bad for 15 yrs of attending there. Get over yourselves and decide that if you feel that bad wait and be quiet it's a good emergency room. If you have a problem talk to the provincial government so that hospitals are funded properly.

ani kenjoian

I just got my vaccine here. very pleased with my experience in the vaccine clinic, they were all so friendly and helpful, the doctor was so kind. great job guys thank you for everything

Berto Dutra

My spouse had day surgery on her knee here. Staff were professional, polite, considerate and some were even funny. Would recommend for day surgery procedures.

Sac A

Stroke rehab unit is a joke. The staff is lazy and doing 10 min pysio or rehab exercise only. You are better off doing exercise on your own or with your family help. They only blame it on your stroke, never provide any treatment - no medical Intervention or therapy. Simply observe or not letting you out of bed for days.
