Best care anywhere, always. They deal with both street involved people and at times very high numbers of downtown people and yet they always triage and care well for everyone. If you wait a long time, chances are, people are very ill injured ahead of you. I’ve been critical, had fractures, and in between. I’m in awe of the staff. They’ve seen me at my worst, and when my daughter was very bad, at my most silently worried.

Best service ????????

I have been there twice and they were wonderful. The doctors and nurses are fantastic and made my stay there as good as it could be. Thank you.

Friendly and professional, waiting room is clean, saw me almost immediately, everyone was incredibly polite. Such a huge contrast from st Joseph's, which we went to first, and left before I was even triaged.

My elderly father was made to wait in the EMS drop off area next to a shouting drunk who wasn't even told to wear a mask despite the pandemic and stringent rules. They did allow me to accompany my father into X-ray and his room as an essential caregiver so I am grateful for that. He stayed overnight and they didn't give him all his morning medications. As a result his condition worsened. Then they had a physiotherapy assessment for him but didn't give him pain meds in time, delaying his assessment and eventually delaying his transfer to a rehab facility. He had to stay a second night as a result and his condition worsened. His recovery will be even longer because of these missteps. Staff are friendly though and communicate well.

Dirty, small and uncomfortable. Wait times typically over 3 hours. On the good side, medical staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and caring. (PS: apparently there’s a renovation/extension project going on; so I’ll update the review after completion)

I had a really good experience today at this hospital. Other than it being a little challenging to find (with construction going on), the whole team was very helpful and kind. I waited around 2-3 hours which to me was not that bad of a wait.

Doctor .Melazy is piece of Dirt ‘ I went in with several leg pain and he flicked his hand at me and told me to leave and go to another hospital after I ask to speak with another doctor !! I’m making sure he doesn’t get away with what he just did to me today

(Translated) The outpatient doctor was very serious and responsible, and saw the doctor in half an hour, and later returned to the specialist doctor who had an appointment the next day. Thank you very much! (Original) 门诊医生特别认真负责,半个小时就看上大夫了,后来还给约了第二天的专科大夫,特别感谢!

This review pertains to Mt. Sinai's emergency department. The facility is smothered with filth, cobwebs cover corners of the rooms, "sterile" supplies are fully exposed to ill patients (should be placed away from general public in a storage room), staff doesn't wear gloves when handling patients, bedsheets are not changed after each patient's use, beds are not sanitized after each patient's use, staff doesn't clean fresh vomit off surfaces (we saw patients vomit in the main waiting area while the staff simply stared at the patient without isolating them; it took 2 hours before staff decided to clean the vomit), staff is unsanitary because they eat their food with bare hands while handling urine samples and talking to patients (we saw this at the RAZ area at the nurse "hangout"). The whole waiting area and adjacent hallway were blocked with as many as 10 stretchers, which is a fire and safety hazard. Security staff are unaware of people entering and leaving because they're too busy gossiping and texting. Staff doesn't change out of their hospital uniform when they exit the hospital (staff seems to have forgotten about the SARS outbreak). My wife was at the emergency department and the nurse elbowed my wife's face, gave my wife a long hard stare and told my wife that she knows she hit my wife's face but it's ok because my wife looked fine. Several patients witnessed this incident and were shocked at the physical assault they just witnessed. Nurse Samantha (aka Sam) is a rude, derogatory, unprofessional employee who is in desperate of proper training; she needs to be sent to school for legal and ethical training so she can stop assaulting patients. It's not legal or ethical to hit a patient regardless of what this nurse thinks is ok. My wife was already in pain and nurse Sam gave her more unwarranted physical distress. The nurse did not apologize. We could clearly hear the conversations nurse Sam was having with her colleagues at the nurses station, which included the typical "these patients are stupid" statements. If you hate your job, then quit because clearly you're unfit for it. Taxpayer dollars go to your pocket. Nurse Sam work on January 26, 2017 in the morning to afternoon. My family has been a longtime financial donor to this hospital, and like many other longtime patients we have seen this hospital deteriorate over the years. It's unfortunate that the emergency department was my wife's first experience at this hospital despite our many years of financial donations. Due to our shockingly unprofessional experience at the emergency department, we have decided to stop financial donations to this hospital after three generations of donations. We cannot justify giving more money to a hospital whose staff treats patients like this. As a family, we don't recommend this hospital anymore, and we will tell our friends at temple about this deplorable experience. You can thank nurse Sam and her unwarranted physical assault for that.

Thank you for saving my life.

Arrived at 6.30am, triaged immediately, blood and physical examination complete before 7:30am! So impressed with the staff and their speed. Thank you Mount Sinai.

Next time -- I'd rather die then seek their help!! Vicious doctors, disinterested staff, no compassion or wish to help person with medical issue., don't know why they exist and function at a first place., would be super beneficial for Toronto if they closed this facility and open a new one., more human and patient concerned!! My visit to M.Sinai emerge was last one -- never again.

Terrible service, small, smells and uncomfortable. There is construction going on and the hospital hasn't made proper accommodations for it. Wait times to be administered into the emergency department are long even when there is not alot of people waiting in the triage area. The nurses at the triage/administration area yell at sick individuals and their caregivers when there is a language barrier instead of showing them empathy and patience. I went to the emergency department for a life threatening condition and the nurse who admitted me didn't follow any COVID-19 protocols and had me wait in the triage area for hours. The nurses don't stay behind the plexiglass and she came right beside me to get my admitting information (not 6 feet apart). Then she performed blood work and set up an IV in my arm without any gloves on or proper protection right in the triage area, exposing me to herself and other ill individuals waiting in the triage area, and offering me no privacy. And, the security guards at triage provide no service or safety, they don't even help when individuals are not following the COVID-19 protocols or are not wearing their masks. The nurse at the administration desk doesn't register you properly. Tries to hurry you for the next person. She was suppose to register my information for MYCHART and never did. If I could give the care I received in the triage/administration area a zero instead of a one, I would.

Nurses here are very nice, professional and understanding!

Thank YOU sooo much !!! to Dave the Social Worker in the Emergency Room area, who assisted my elderly father (William) on Nov. 27/19 to making his experience an exceptional one. Dave was very friendly, helpful and most of all, took the time to care for my father needs and make him feel comfortable during his emergency stay, 6 hrs. THANK-YOU again to the hospital staff! much appreciated.

I was treated very nicely by the staff. Doctor Ringer who helped me was great. He was very empathetic and knowledgeable.

The staff doesn't have sympathy towards you. I am admitted right now in an emergency for a life threatening issue and if i approach a nurse for any assistance they just give me a cold shoulder. Due to covid they don't let family come in hence they should hav more empathy when patient is at risk. But they treat as if they don't care.
