As of day this business gets a score of 3.8 stars out of 5 and that score has been calculated on 127 reviews.
As you can read, the average score it has is very positive, and it's founded on a very high number of scores, so we can think that the valuation is very reliable. If people have bothered to value when they are pleased with the business, it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to put opinions when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Hospital belongs to the category of Hospital.
The service and cleanning of the room was very good
The best u can find and thank you for all staffs inside my daughter was born there
One of the best hospitals in Canada; this hospital features over 14 floors of general and specialized medical care, in addition to a synagogue on the lower level (as this is technically a Jewish hospital) and a renowned cancer treatment unit.
Covid Test Center Only Open On Weekdays! Just incase anyone else didn't know
Horrible and disrespectful! The hospital has no structure nor staff do deal with more than a couple of patients at the emergency sector. My wife is six months pregnant and twisted her ankle. We went to the Mount Sinai emergency sector. After six hours sit waiting for a x-ray that had no technician to operate for several hours, my wife (pregnant) asked if she could lay on a doolie that was in the corridor. She stayed there for less than one hour waiting for the r-ray result and now the hospital is charging us $600 for that "room charge". Could we charge the hospital for the almost seven hours spent waiting for the "staff" found that there were no fracture? The "staff" that seems first year medicine students is completely inefficient and just don't care about patient suffering and mainly, in pregnancy condition!!! Does not seem to me they know what they're doing. They stay walking around, ignoring patients, complaining that the emergency is busy and telling each other how "efficient" they are. Terrible and disrespectful.
Wait time is quite long but once you’re in- the doctors and nurses are really nice. Great bed-side manner. X rays are done pretty quickly. Overall positive experience.
Extremely busy place. Staff are kind and helpful.
I had my heart baby here so he could be transferred to sick kids Immediately after, however my postpartum Care continued here until I was discharged. The nurses I had caring for me were kind & caring. My experience with my son was really tough, and they definitely helped things feel better.
**Updated from 1-star: nurse Jackie (women's health unit) was a star and super helpful. One person completely changed my opinion. Also, the receptionist was great. Will be back! Haha. Hopefully not too often though** Old review: So far not so good. Have been waiting for my scheduled 9am appointment for over an hour and have to keep asking what's up. Staff isn't rude, just a bit rough in letting me know what's up. Also, shouldn't have to wait over an hour for a scheduled morning appointment. Will likely avoid coming here in thee future if I can, but not sure the hospital would be that bothered.
My dads Oncologist was here, not but good things to say about this hospital.
This hospital got some of the best caring loving doctors and nurses. I spent two weeks in a high risk pregnancy department, they comes every minute, nurses, doctors, social workers it was incredible. Dr. John Kingdom is an amazing doctor, he gave me his words that the baby is going to be fine if he delivered her prematurely, his words! Thank you guys so much, Sally, Marjorie, Dr. Kingdom.
Very nice people big hospital built in the 70S
From the triage nurse all the way to the intern and doctor who saw me nothing but professional, kind and helpful not just for me but to the other patients that I overheard them treating. Highly recommend.
Nice and clean hospital. Staff and service is quick. Conveniently downtown Toronto.
Unfriendly mean nurses that keep you held against your will and deprive you of your basic human rights.
It was a great visit! Thank you!
I want to give 5 stars+ to Dr. Eric Monteiro and his assistant, Anna Bested, for both of them offered excellent communication and caring for my mom's pre-surgery meeting, surgery and post-surgery cares. Dr. Monteiro was not only a highly-skilled professional surgeon but also a great warm-hearted, responsive provider for his patient and our family. We've no doubt he would do the same for all other patients!
Was born here. My mom says it was an easy delivery. Well done guys.
I really thankfull for my c-section with my doctor Lindsay Shirreff. The date was very clear and fast. No pain, great job, around 30 team work take care of me and my baby. All very professional and warming people. No complaints at all. Thank you Very much for all your hard work
I LOVE my DR. she is amazing! BUT the special pregnancy clinic is a joke. I can understand if some days get busy-- i know im not the only high risk pregnant woman in toronto... im 34 weeks now and since i started coming here at 12 weeks or so the waiting times have been so ridiculously long. My last 2 appointments were 3 hours of waiting and even then i still wasnt given a room because those women in the rooms were STILL wwaiting to be seen. I dont know if they are just always short staffed but they should really work on getting that fixed. I cant come to these appointments now without having my whole days schedule cleared otherwise i miss other appointments just waiting around. I mean, if my appointment was scheduled for 945am why am i still waiting to be seen at 11am? 1130am?... omg 12! come on people. I chose to leave two appointments because of the waiting times.. obvs my choice but waiting that long for a scheduled appointment is a bit much for a hormonal, peeing every 2mins, hungry, anxious and uncomfortable pregnant woman. I know its busy.. it is downtown and a very popular hospital BUT they should staff accordingly.. adjust shifts according to whomever is sick or unable to work...
10/10 would recommend. The nurses & Drs that I encountered at the emerg were all super nice! Thanks again for taking such good care of me. :)
Taking into account the pain and admittedly "fear of the unknown" that accompanied me in to Mount Sinai Emergency I could honestly not have imagined or hoped for a better experience. The staff was fantastic throughout - registration, nurses, doctors, technicians - all extremely calm, courteous, kind, personable and knowledgeable. I can't stress that enough, serious props! The facilities were clean, tidy and somehow not depressing as hospitals can be. Having to go to emergency is obviously no fun but Mount Sinai certainly made it the best possible experience. Very impressed and very thankful.
Our son was born here and everyone was super friendly and professional :-)
Doctors and Nurses are Great. My issue is the A/R department and whichever depart handles newborn registrations. 9 weeks have passed Service ontario told us that the hospital never registered the birth with them. A/R depart doesnt even bother contacting your benefits/Insurance to ensure you are covered and they tried to send us a bill for the full amount of the hospital stay.
The most frustrating experience in my life
Triage Reception Staff Member: I called to re-book an appointment that my high risk clinic had booked on my behalf and wasn’t confirmed with me to see if I could actually make the appointment. I called the number that was on the Mount Sinai appointment page and I was then transferred to Triage as I was trying to rebook my first appointment with the hospital. As soon as I was transferred, I was greeted by a staff member who from the start had the WORST tone. I had told her I needed to rebook my appointment and right away her response is "you do realize the importance of this appointment right?" later then followed with "these appointments are hard to book in the first place". Don't talk to me like i'm an idiot with that condescending tone. I'm obviously trying to rebook because i CANNOT physically make that specific appointment for that time and day because it was booked for me without confirmation. After trying to explain to her (while she was talking over me) as to why I had to rebook, she FINALLY rebooked my appointment (2 days later from the original booking). I was assured that the staff would be friendly and accommodating and considering why I was referred to Mount Sinai in the first place, I would have thought this person would have had a little more compassion. But she was RUDE from the get go and even questioned if my condition was confirmed by specific tests. And continued to justify her unnecessary questions by saying "I'm sorry I don't have your chart in front of me". If I could give NO STARS for that one specific staff member, I would. I wish I got her name cause I would NOT hesitate to mention her on here. But if she reads this, she knows who she is.
WORST hospital experience ever while my wife was a patient there for three nights. Surly, unfriendly and lazy nurses (with a very few exceptions), as well as generally incompetent doctors. The general attitude of the nurses was "we are doing you a favour, so just be quiet and do what we say." Also, the cleanliness of the hospital was generally very bad. I would recommend you go anywhere EXCEPT this truly lousy hospital.
This is the worst hospital I've ever been to. I sat there for two hours in excruciating pain and still saw no one. They treated me like I was somehow inconveniencing them by asking for help. These people should be ashamed of themselves!!
Absolutely fantastic I spent 12days at the hospital with the greatest doctor and treatment team I could ask for they literally took broken man and helped to give him hope
Great hospital teams and family practice doctors. Only mount Sinai and sunnybrook hospitals take high risk pregnancy patients. Amazing family doctor practice. Been a patient since birth and am having my first child here. Came in during some labour complications and they were very thorough with tests and I had wonderful care. Even though I moved far away I happily drive an hour to this hospital knowing I will receive excellent care
I must profess my bias as I work here but I have been a patient on several occasions here and the amount of care and attention you receive is truly incredible. The medical and nursing staff are genuinely patient centered in their approach. Great teaching hospital
I brought my partner in the ER November 2015—the ER itself was good, line-up wasn't long, they diagnosed him quickly with appendicitis. But once admitted to hospital, things took a bad turn. During an Interventional Radiology Procedure to remove some of the toxins from the ruptured appendix, a hole was accidentally punctured in his ascending colon. They left him with a drainage tube in the supposed appendix area (an otherwise normal procedure), but after three months they realized the tube had been stuck the accidental hole they had made the entire time, rather than serving its function. On top of that, the doctor he was assigned to has an office that doesn't seem to function properly—if you don't call them to remind them you need an appointment made (several times) they'll leave you hanging for weeks. My partner's health is still suffering from this negligence. We expected much more from a reputable hospital and the supposed great Canadian health system.
This guy named mL was supposed to bring me a hot towel but it was cold and wet. Also his laptop mic sucks.
I was in Emergency the morning of July 10th. I was the second person there when I arrived. I just had ear pain, but it was urgent because I hadn't been able to sleep all night and I have a seizure disorder triggered by lack of sleep. I told the triage nurse during intake about it, and that I was at risk for a seizure. She took my info calmly and I took my seat. I didn't expect to be put ahead of people with chemical burns or anything but I thought they would understand that I needed to sleep soon or my life could be at risk. An hour passed and several people who came in after me went ahead of me. It was starting to get busier now and the sound was starting to get to me. I asked the triage nurse if I could wait somewhere quieter because I was starting to feel an aura coming on. She laughed and said there was nowhere else to go. She gave me ear plugs. For my ear problem. An hour after that I was trembling and having trouble speaking, but I still went back to the triage nurse. Another nurse had shown up at this point and I filled her in on what was happening. I asked if there was any way to know how much longer the wait was because I was really close to having a seizure at this point. Both of the nurses laughed at me. Nurse #1 said "You've waited this long with your ear pain, you can wait another 15-20 minutes"... I told her the ear pain was never the issue. She said very condescendingly that if I need to lay down I can "just ask" (which I had already and was dismissed) and she invited me to lay on beds that were stained and dirty. I saw the last people who were on those beds leave (they were homeless gentlemen who slept there overnight) and nothing was done to tidy up the beds between their exit and this conversation. One had been bleeding. When I finally spoke to the doctor I attempted three times to tell him what was going on with my ear, because I was shutting down. I apologized and told him I might have a seizure soon. He irrigated my ear and asked how I felt, I barely managed to say I was feeling really dizzy. He told me it was probably the cold water, and then said goodbye. He left me alone as I was actively fighting a seizure. I don't even know how I got home, I just remember that I was stumbling as I walked out. Mount Sinai is supposed to have the best Emergency services, and I've been there for other issues, but this really affected my trust in them.
Although the secretary was 30mins late for my appointment, the Dr. and nurses were great.
Have only popped in- Nice to have a book store and Rexall in the hospital but the Rexall was way overpriced.
The nurses and staff here genuinely care about you and are extremely knowledge! Grateful to have been taken care here
Very fast & efficient, with especially friendly staff in the Fracture Clinic. Shared expertise between Toronto Hospitals is beneficial.
I've been just discharged by the Surgery department on the 5 thFloor. How amazing all the people working there I don't have words to describe! From the , Recetion, Surgery and the Recovery room...Omg...Amazing. If I had more than 5 stars to give...I would ! Dr. Michael Sved and all his team are unbelievably great professionals. The Nurse Soreen...so great ! All of the professionals are in my heart now ! All the staff from the volunteers, helpers , nurses and Drs. The anesthesiologist was so caring so great My Congratulations to Mount Sinai Hospital...and my big TANKS... my appreciation! ????????????????????????????
They are good I stayed there and my mommy is good she works there she is good cause she helps people that are sick
i don't know if it is normal, but it's very painful when the doctor tried to take out my cerumen , she is really not gentel, my inside part become inflame after her cure, I can't feel her being careful when she tried to stick in tool to my ear, make me feel painful every time. I see some post online, they said doctor should do it gentelly in case of hurting the ear drum inside, I am not sure if she's doing the normal way, but I had a very bad experience.
I went one time to the emergency room i was attended like in 30 min. it was ok. my point is that is not always bad.
Is this is hospital?? I was painful to wait 4hours. This hospital is really suck especially the nurses!! I never saw the nurse had so bad attitude. How could them be a nurse??? They didn’t kind to patients. I hate them
Overall a great place to go! However, nurses needed to go through more training programs. Specially nurses, who are taking blood sample not up to the level.
Great staff. Of course there are waits for surgery, etc but this is a hospital serving hundreds of thousands ... and providing excellent care.
I absolutley love Dr. Barkin by far the most amazing Dr ever!!!!....and i trust him completely he has fixed me, had my babies, he is just the best. Recently he referred me to Dr. Sheriff for a procedure. She was just as amazing....very positive and has this positive energy and presence which is infectious...and makes you feel happy and u know that your in good hands. Mount saini is just an incredible hospital their staff is always friendly and everyone is knowledgable. Thank you to all those that have taken care of me from reception, nurses etc..... i appreciate all of you ???? Also i will mention Marjorie Dr. Barkins assistant...she is always on the ball soooo friendly and amazing and he is soo lucky to have her ????
I was treated here twice for 2 surgeries in the summer - both experiences were poor. I had been transferred from Toronto Western for surgery and was told by a nurse at reception that that 'wasn't the way they do things here' and I would have to give all my information again and be sent to the back of the ER line-up, despite the fact I had watched doctors at the previous hospital scan my chart over and confer with Mount Sinai who accepted the transfer. I was also pretty wiped on morphine administered at the Western and still visibly in a lot of pain, which the nurse refused to take into account. This same nurse was in charge of administering my anesthetic a couple of weeks later, when I had to come in for a second surgery. She literally said to the doctors, as I lay crying in pain - 'why does she even need to be sedated for this?' in an extremely unfriendly tone. As soon as I came round from the surgery, the doctors were already gone and a new nurse came into the room hurrying to discharge me. I was given no aftercare instructions or a discharge report. Trying to obtain these after proved difficult because I was not given the names of who treated me and was told I would be called back later - which never happened. Also because I was still not 100% awake from the sedation, and had not eaten or drunk anything for 24hrs previous as requested - I passed out on the street outside the hospital upon leaving. I have private insurance as I am here on a temporary work visa and not yet eligible for OHIP. My insurance company have paid the bills (I have seen documentation proving this) - but 2 months after, I am still receiving confusing and rude phone calls from Ejaz Malik in the collections department - demanding I pay up. It just keeps going around in circles. Furthermore, they changed their original billing from CAD to USD, which according to my insurance company is so they can make more profit on the exchange rate... Says it all really, doesn't it?
I have to say I'm happy with mount Sinai hospital I had a pink eye infection 2 months ago and they referred me to the eye clinic and I have to say doctors were great they saved my pink eye infection by giving me eyedrops I got better In 10 days it wasn't easy or thAt fast but now I have to say this A good hospital for adults and teenagers like my age
Immediate reception and acceptable waiting time.
I visited the fetal medicine unit when pregnant (it’s on the 3rd floor) at the entrance, you get asked all necessary question to limit the spread covid, they request you to sanitize your hands. When you go there, the first thing..they ask you to do is make a mount Sinai card. (It’s done in like 5 mins) Super friendly lady at the desk. Was very happy with her service ..sorry don’t remember your name. After all that you get send to your specific doctor or dept that you came to visit. My doc was Tim Van. Very professional and compassionate. Explained everything in details and even drew a picture to make you understand better. Everything was great. Don’t be scared or nervous. You are in good hands ???? ????and good luck.
Doctors and nurses are knowledgeable and friendly
Been in twice. The first time, my ride was waiting for me after surgery and the nurse asked an orderly to take me down. He replied he was going on his coffee break. Nurse said that's fine, you're doing down that way anyway so why not take this patient? Orderly laughed and said "I'm on my break!" again. Nurse rolled her eyes and said it happens quite a lot. A janitor was going downstairs and he offered to take me, which was very nice and not in his job description! I have a friend who is a surgical nurse at Mt. Sinai who says the unions run the place. And the other time I was a patient there I was left in a hallway overnight with agonizing pain from a gall bladder attack and they forgot to give me medication for the pain, even though I reminded them twice. Mt. Sinai looks like a nice hospital, but in terms of patient care, it can't hold a candle to old St. Mike's.
I had a wonderful experience at Mount Sinai. The staffs there are humans and so caring compare to the hospital I forced to be discharged before coming to Mount Sinai. I came to the emergency room because of a pain on my chest, and shortness of breath that I had been complaining for almost 2 weeks. Unfortunately the previous hospital couldn’t figure out what was really wrong with me and after an X-Ray told me it was a beginning of pneumonia. Mount Sinai did the same X-Ray and found out that my lungs were deteriorated and they adviced me to get admitted at the hospital that my case is critical. I was admitted and they right away started the antibiotics and did so many tests. Finally I had an answer of what was going on with me since weeks. I stayed at Mount Sinai for about 8days for treatment. Honestly, just because of the beautiful and respectful care I received the entire stay, I felt cured because I new I was in a safe environment with people ready to do anything to save my life. There is this particular nurse Nneka I had for few days. Every time on her free time she will come and chat with me so that I don’t feel alone and overthinking (I was in an isolated room).I’m really grateful to all the staff at Mount Sinai for the human work they are doing. They were able to diagnose the issue and realized I wasn’t given the appropriate drugs from the previous hospital that unfortunately deteriorated my case.
I've always had a pleasant experience at this hospital. The nurses have always been friendly to me and the doctors have always done their best to keep me at ease.
We have been here waiting for the Doctor to see my son for more than 3 1/2 hours and still we continue waiting
As a teaching hospital with a mandate to be "patient focused" they achieve this goal on a regular basis. They have succeeded in ensuring that all staff members from porters to specialists, listen to the patient while charting their course back to health. Very clean environment at all times. The new food court offers something for everyone and the art gallery is an excellent place for patients and family members looking for a bit of quiet. The emergency room could be a little crowded at times but they ER staff tries it's best to move things along. For expectant mothers, I highly suggest you check them out.
We asked to dezinfect two plastic bottles of Medela at the hospital. Even though we brought new box we wanted to make sure it's okey to use it. No one wanted to help and no one did... I had to boil water in the kitchen at the hospital and do it my self... Literally I walked around multiple floors asking if someone had a facility to do that. People didn't want to help and they didn't even wanted to ask. ..... Horrible horrible place
Horrible experiences. Now that I've moved on from the pain management group, hopefully forever, I can talk about the experience. It starts with appalling assistants(?) they happily chat about their weekends for half an hour at a time ignoring patients who have arrived.Drugs are prescribed without follow-up to the extent that the pharmacist refused to fill the prescription until lied to about the follow-up. When challenged we were told there's no need for follow-up it's not a narcotic but we were assigned a nurse to follow-up weekly - nothing happened despite repeated requests. It just goes on and on, complete waste, people spending very little time on the job, clearly overstaffed in some areas. Horrible horrible place and it's for people in terrible pain!
The best emergency ward I've ever been in. The waiting room is clean and orderly, but I didn't spend long there. The best part is the private rooms for emergency patients. It may not seem like much, but having a private place to have your situation assessed and a plan formulated is really calming and I felt like I was in good hands.
The only hospital I know of to go to for dental emergencies. I tried 4 others before being helped here.
Delivered my baby here in 2014 and will be again in 2021! I love mount Sinai. I was born here and so was my mother. ????
Dr Mark Silverburg Em's GI and his team are amazing. Nice staff and great care. When the reno's are done it will be even better
Another hospital visit. Again top notch service. Unfortunatly been dealing with some health concerns of late. Visited Toronto General last week and they are on par with service. A big thanks to the staff and doctors .
Superior health facility with amazing professional doctors and nurses that care about patients wellbeing.
I had to listen to ML sing backstreet boys songs whenever he helped me, and when I told him to stop he called me bozzled. Otherwise, he was very good at following my orders.
It is great to have this hospital in my city. I used it several times, it is good
I would like to thank all the Doctors, assistants and students that assistant in my surgery at Mount Sinai on June 29th. 2021. I would like to give a special shout out to Dr. M Chaukoff Dr. C McDermott and Dr. Gita , anesthesia. Everything went very well, I felt at ease with all the Drs. as soon as I walked in the surgery room,(yes you heard correct, I walked in). My after care was also very good, thank you to Dr. McDermott's secretary for being so amazing and attentive to my needs. Thank you kindly Mona Chicoine
Friendly and professional staff. Doctors show great care toward patients and are very thorough in their procedure. I have been here only twice, but had a pleasant experience in both occasions. The wait time can be a bit long, but at least they handle the wait line well and it didn't feel crowded like at other hospitals
I was born here and I turned out pretty damn good. No complaints!
This hospital is newly renovated. On Tuesday morning, my dad butchered himself. He took some kind of knife and he cut both of his wrists. I saw my dad last night. He was in the psychiatric ward. The door is locked in the 9 South wing. There is a new food court on the main floor. There's a new Aroma, Barburrito, Unari Sushi, and Me Va Me. There is also a brand new Second Cup. My mom wants to go tonorrow afternoon to see my dad again. The parkibg is expensive. In the parking lots across from the hospital, you have to pay $5.00 for a short visit.
Diagnosis for stents & follow up and rehab first class hospital.
Great surgeons. Very experienced and methodical. You might not get treated like a movie star, but i left impressed with the quality of the surgeons. No nonsense and precise cutting.
Despite their excellent facilities, architecture, outreach and influence, my time here was the worst experience I've ever had. I felt helpless there while staffs claimed to be doing their jobs.
very bad experience it is not what it used to be.I hope I never have to step foot in there again.
Doctors are Phenomenal! Most of the nurses I felt were clueless and forgot about me for hrs at a time, even after I buzzed twice. I'm wicked itchy, doesn't even try to help, also their is a MASSIVE fan shortage around here, so unless you plan to bake all night, bring one because they don't care The guy across from me, his nurse has been here 4 times in 15 mins taking care of him, I need to buzz 4 times and lucky if they come in 15 mins
Excellent care at Mount Sinai for the whole family. We have had many years of wonderful treatment and care and most recently my God son Luke arrived safe and sound - a true miracle! Thank you to all the people that dedicate their lives to helping others. Sincerely, Christine Aquin Pope
Joseph and Wolf Lebovic staff and Psychiatric care is distinctive.
One of the best hospitals in our city.!!!
Unfortunately, I have spent far too much time here. Emergency room visits, surgery, you name it. Staff is overworked but make the best of it. Exercise some patience, show some compassion and you'll get the same in return. Thanks for all you do!
Had an outpatient MRI done here. No waiting to get into the hospital. Waiting Room for MRI was socially distanced and seemed to be scheduled so that only one person was waiting in any one area at a time. Techs were very friendly and accommodating.
Nice
This hospital is garage. The good get punished for nothing. I am a guest watching over my girlfriend at the hospital that just got out of a surgery. She complained multiple times about me being there to see her. Mind you this isn't a private room so she has no right to complain about me. This lady wanted to have guests over but not my girlfriend. How is that fair, how is that right. What is your problem with us. So after she complained multiple times and as well as her guest being rude about my girlfriend throwing up. Now I can't sleep over in the room to comfort her and support her. Looks the good get punished at this hospital and the bad get there way. I feel sick.
Worst emergency.... terrible and rude staff. Low level of service. Terrible
best hospital ever. I was born their so obviously miracles happen there!! definitely recommend because they help deliver VERY beautiful babies!!
I came from far to do saliva COVID test. The website says they have it. Well, guess what, they don't! A waist of time
My review is specifically to the ultrasound department in 700 university dr. I showed up to my appointment 10-15 minutes late due to transit (around 11am) and that is my fault but the events that followed are so redic. I checked into the ultrasound desks and they say because I’m late I have to wait until someone else is late to get in. I believe this is fair so I ask if I should go see my obgyn first or should I wait? The nurse insisted to go see my doctor first and come back after. After seeing my doctor (who is amazing as always) I return to the ultrasound desks and check in again. At this time I am speaking with the same nurse and she says I missed my name being called and I’m at the back of the line... I am a little frustrated as she insisted for me to go to my other appointment first. So I say I am back and will wait. About 2 hours pass and no one has called my name so I once again go to the desk and follow up with the other nurse and she says she hasn’t the slightest clue when I will get in. I request to re schedula my appointment as my significant other works at 3:30pm and he will miss our ultrasound. The nurse snarks and says you won’t get an appointment for 2 weeks. As I’m not allowed to wait 2 weeks because I called my obgyn and asked I wait another 2 hours. At this point I’m starving and so frustrated and they finally call my name. But this time I come up to the desk and it’s the ultrasound tech saying she called my name at 11:15 and they never moved my file to the correct spot and she will get me in momentarily. All in all it was extremely disorganized at the front desk and unfortunate because the ultrasound tech was amazing and the doctors are always amazing.
I am very happy with most of the reviews. I am awaiting an appointment for hip surgery and I am very anxious but reading these reviews have made a little less anxious. :) So thank you
I went to the emergency room with a high fever and they took me in in less than a hour ! One of the best hospitals in Toronto by far ! Plus I was born here !
The staff is well trained and professional. Thank you for your service!
Not me but my brother when in to have a hernia fixed not only was there a level unprofessionalism the made the mesh to tight so they had to go in and fix it his bowl perforated and he went int to shock and nearly DIED when something could have been done sooner due to the symptoms he was showing the one week hospital stay terned into three and not only was the first hernia not fixed he now as a possible second one on the opposite side
Fantastic hospital and friendly staff. No words can describe the hospitality this Hospital has provided to my family.
I twisted my left ankle and went to the emergency room to check if I’d broke it. It wasn’t a super long wait for me since I went on a Tuesday midday. They did the routine X-ray and told me I hurt only the soft tissue, so the nurse put a $105 aircast ankle training brace on my left foot. It hurt a lot when she was putting it on but I thought it’s probably just because of the swelling. But later that day when I took the brace off did I find out she was putting a right ankle brace on my left ankle... Now I’m left with an expensive useless piece of plastic and a bruised ankle due to the uneven pressure the brace had on my foot. If they can’t even pick up the right equipment for a simple ankle sprain, i wouldn’t trust them with anything that’s more serious :(
I cannot even think all the issues encountered in this hospital . Coming in as a USA citizen to this place is just unbelievable what my experience has been and you can take this how ever you like. 2015 - relative passed away from cancer , briefly will say this . Health care I general in this country is far complicated but to think your relative is having a huge health issue from cancer and having this hospital for care was the most worst experience I have encounter . No follow up calls , nurses give you the run around, far beyond me being in the health field while visiting my relative in a hospice care nurses where insensitive to his needs, I cannot even express how Bad the experience was for this poor man in there. Second 2018 , had a good buddy of mine that has mental issues , was there at ED and they did nothing to help him, he’s very sick and needed a lot of help in getting him all the resources . I cannot write enough in here how concerning this hospital has been to me . And I hope never to step one foot in there . Also speaking on behalf of other Canadian friends that had different bad experience. It’s more the quantity vs quality of care. Zero stars for this hospital.
Whilst in the ER, nobody told me what was going on -- like what was in my IV -- though patient relations assures me they did. One social worker filled out her report with complete misinformation i.e.- that i 'refused blood draws'. If I had refused blood draws, how did the labs get done? I refused nothing. Patient relations told me to go through a lengthy, time consuming process to fix the errors. Very ill people cannot do that. The onus should be one the one who made the error. I was to have 2 IV bags as per orders, but a very judgemental nurse ripped the catheter out after 1 ½ instead of fixing it when it infiltrated. She also gave me a bedpan in the middle of emergency without the holder of the cardboard insert in place so urine got everywhere. She wanted me to clean it up tho I cannot sit up independently and I was laying on a stretcher. She also didn't clean it up properly, nor did she set me up again. I was left bare naked in public with no blankets surrounded by another patients' visitors. They helped me get a blanket. I was in emergency for over 24 hrs + never offered food as some other patients were. Luckily, i had my own. After I returned home, patient relations told me staff had done nothing wrong and they had the nerve to ask me to remove my review from ratemds dot com. At the dental clinic, the dentist forgot to put the protective apron on for X-rays. They also could not admit me for dental work [though they're supposedly a clinic for the disabled] + proposed a plan which I’m not well enough to carry out -- going to + from Mt Sinai 5 times [instead of once], which would be impossible anyways since ambulance transportation costs alone would be over $2,000. The healthcare system is set up to 1] protect the facility and 2] to provide care their way. If the patient can’t handle the delivery, it's our loss. Hospitals have to work with the patient more, including them and their situation in the care plan, otherwise it's not patient -centred care and is not helpful. This is very evident in this hospital with a facility-centred approach where patients come second.
Once the labor process actually happened, the nurses and doctors were great. But they told us to be there for 9:30 am, by 5 o'clock we had a room, 4 hrs later they started the process. So we basically sat and waited 12 hrs...
By far the worst emerg experience I've ever had. Nurses here are very condescending and rude to patients, and after waiting four hours to see a doctor, he performed a brief 5 minute basic physical check on me and said I seem fine and I'm too low risk for the issues I was describing which have been worsening for a month. So essentially he's comfortable that I'm experiencing daily worsening symptoms of more serious issues because I'm too young to be at risk for them - this is not reassuring or professional grade health care at all - people come here for objective answers, not a guessing game. He said he "doesnt know" what was causing all my symptoms then and recommended I just keep taking Tylenol for another week. No tests or anything done, just used blood work they had on my file from a MONTH earlier (for a different issue) rather than taking new blood. Doctor also acted like I was wasting his time. No discharge paper, just said "you can go". Don't come here for anything unless it's your last choice.
My first visit to Mount Sinai for COVID Assessment. Super fast report turnout, given there was less pressure the day I tested. Their online platform for the same is great and the best part from my personal experience were their staff, extremely cooperative and understanding and will ask you to properly know the purpose of your visit. I can highly recommend for the same.
ML once thought he contracted MRSA and still proceeded to take care of the other patients. I soon turned super ill and had to go into surgery because of this. ML is really bozzled and boosted at league but that's ok :)
Cancer centre is rather disorganized. They get the job done but it takes forever.
This was long time ago but in 2008 my mother had me here, her doctor was amazing then and now.
Rly good u should go. Edit: don’t get sick, but if you DO, this is the place ????
The babies born here are literally the best people in the world
Dealt only with the labour and delivery floor and the special pregnancy program. Both were excellent. Staff was very helpful and available. Facilities were excellent and clean and well maintained.
The worst hospital I've ever deal with. The Womens' Unit at Mount Sinai has been negligent for the past 10 years. They never call you back when you express that you have pain and an urgent issue.
I was born here and I'm alive today. Automatic 5-star
ml told me that i was bozzled instead of getting me my water. Otherwise, ml was very good at following my orders
I had to go there for an emergency not related to COVID-19. I think their emergency room looks outdated and they receive a lot of homeless and junkies there. There was a line of elderly people waiting to get in. I waited a lot to see the doctor and I like how they approached my issue! So, the place I visit was ugly but the employees were friendly and professional with me.
Absolutely astounding lack of communication. Wife has a high-risk pregnancy, had an issue and we came in to find out if it was serious. Unfortunately it was a busy day and so we've been given the runaround all day long. After 2 hours saw a doctor - fine - have to wait for ultrasound but it's busy - fine. After another 1.5 hrs we're kicked out of room with zero information. We asked if it would be better to just go to our ultrasound appointment down the street since they were so busy and the nurse told us no, it would only be a 1/2hr, just wait. We then waited another 6hrs before finally being seen at the ultrasound, only to find out that at 5:30pm when they had their shift change they had phoned the nurses to say they didn't think there was cause for concern and didn't think they needed to perform the ultrasound. The nurses never told us this and kept telling us soon, 1/2hr more, keep waiting. The RN "Helen" who finally came to get us at 9pm was a breath of fresh air, she was understanding, caring, and let my wife cry and vent at her. If the hospital was staffed with more people like her, this would be a 5 star rating. The actual care here has been great, but those nurses REALLY need to improve their communication skills. It benefits no one to do what they did.
Very nice staff. Thank you all amazing nurses and doctors there
I showed up to the ER at 1:50am, was seen by a doctor within 30min and was out by 3am. Great service, can’t complain at all!
There aren't enough good things to say. I went into Mount Sinai's emergency room quite ill and was taken care of right away. Nurses and doctors were all very caring and professional. It made me feel more at ease knowing I was in good hands. I have experienced some bad ER moments and very long waits but not in this case. Though it is not the closest hospital to me, I would make it my hospital of choice. Highly recommended.
Excellent service, supportive and caring staff. I felt heard and cared for the entire time I was there.
Best hospital I have every been. Had fever 2 days ago and chest pain, so came here to check. They checked very thoroughly, the staff were extremely nice.
This hospital has a distinct lack of patient service skills. Their lab is very poorly run and highly inefficient, not to mention the tech's seem very bad at the one thing they should be good at, taking blood. There is no sense of patient care that I get from this organization, from doctors who have assistants on leave and no other way of reaching them to doctor assistants who, rather than help you get an appointment, direct you back to the reception, who more often then not do not return messages. Doctors have you wait hours past your appointment time and then leave you waiting for hours more in the exam room, only to dismiss your concerns. Princess Margaret has a much better sense of how to treat and help a patient and make them feel cared for than Mount Sinai.
i was birthded here and from what I remember the catering was great
Delivered my baby here in 2014 and will be again in 2021! I love mount Sinai. I was born here and so was my mother. ????
The team at mount Sinai led by Dr Jodi L Shapiro delivered our 2nd kid and overall it was a fantastic experience! Dr Shapiro is a no nonsense straight to the point dr who knows what she is doing, she is confident yet attentive. Overall she is awesome!!
Awesome Hospital. First class treatment. I called ahead & spoke to Christine. Asked her if emergency/triage was busy as I didn't want to wait hours to be looked@. She politely asked me to hold as she checked. She came back & said it wasn't too busy & a good time to come. When I arrived it was just as she had stated. Nurse Ashley greeted me@desk & was most friendly, personable, professional, comforting & welcoming. She made me feel@ease with my situation & pain. She was always smiling & I watched her dealing with other incoming patients in the same manner, including an elderly gentleman in a wheelchair. She's an angel. Literally & figuratively! Dr. Horvath & Nurse Chelsea dealt with me & my condition exceptionally well when I was admitted. His bedside manners were amazing & Nurse Chelsea assisted him professionally & she eased my concerns. She was great too! Dr. Horvath explained what he was doing & when he did it & I felt totally@ease & comfortable in his care. He's a great doctor who really cares about his patients. I was very impressed by his demeanour/professionalism & his bedside manners. I wish more doctors were like him... My entire experience took less than an hour. I read some of the reviews online & will not disparage anyone else. I, however, had a great experience@Mount Sinai. The Doctors & Staff were all exceptional. I don't have anything but accolades for the 4 members I interacted with. Kudos. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas. Update January 2020: After 3year absence I returned to Mount Sinai with another pressing health issue. Again- everything was great from their welcome until the time I left. All great staff! Nurse Nadine was so amazing & empathetic to my plight. She was friendly, understanding & most of all- caring. Same goes with Dr. Nicholas (who looks like the Veterinarian Doctor on Schitts Creek!) He explained the procedure in detail & took me on every step by step procedure. His bedside manner was great & he had a good sense of humour too! Without doubt- my fave hospital in the city & will always visit them if I require hospital. Though I do hope I don’t have to go again too soon lollll
Everyone at Mount Sinai Hospital was really kind and helpful. Doctors were really seems to be helpful, listening and understanding your problems and ready to help you in anyways.
Great staff, very short and reasonable emergency wait time. Doctor spent time with me and answered all my questions.
Employment here is terrible, occupational health never answers our questions, this is the worst hospital I've ever worked at, I hate my job here.
Took my buddy here when she had the shingles. Pretty busy so the wait was 7 hours. If you can go to an urgent care, don’t go here. That being said staff was nice and I read that poster about sepsis again a hundred times.
Not your old Mount Sinai anymore. The quality of service, the treatment, the doctors are not what they used to be back in the day. The level this hospital used to be is gone with the wind. The new generation of docrors is bringing this hospital down. I wouldn't even outline a specific department because it's everything. Saying this with respect ???? to all frontline workers, but numerous bad experiences do have to be mentioned.
Partner and me had a sudden emergency and came here. Thankfully everything turned out fine, but this hospital was very amazing to us. All staff were professionals and the palce was super clean! One of the best hospital we have seen.
Hope i will not have healthy problems but if i have i will definitely choose this hospital
Let me tell a few things. My uncle came with left femur neck fracture. It took 1 and half hours to get admitted. And he was wriggling with pain.. It took almost 2 hours to get admission and get pain killers. Why there is no skin traction applying to a suspected cases? These process must be fast to relieve pain and for treatment
Some of the staff here are fantastic. It was an okay experience here. We had to go here to have our son born. The nursing staff was stellar and deserve all the praise. However the local OB was a complete chauvinist. Dr. Marshall Barkin was utterly unprofessional and immediately didn't want to wait for my wife to try labour he just wanted to do a caesarian and get on with his shift. We had to fight for it every step of the way. Raising our issues with the Ombudsman of the Hospital got us nowhere and brushed off. When we asked for the placenta he responded "What are you going to do ? Swing it over your head?" He was completely disrespectful, bigoted, no respect and simply went ahead with whatever he felt was right without consultation or permission. Only the nursing staff made our experience made up for it, treating us well and giving us professional and courteous help.
The worst customer service, organization and communication I have seen in an institution. Messages not returned, conflicting information from nurses and doctors, improperly billed, appointments rescheduled last minute. Many more problems but it would take to long to go into details. We were at Mt. Sinai for 2 years untill we finally had enough. We are still having problems becuase our new clinic needs information from them, and it took FOUR requests for them to send our file over. I definitely reccomend going to another clinic.
high standard of care provided by this hospital. i love the doctors and surgeons who helped me with my treatment.
My family doctor is residents work at my sinai every 2 years I have new doctor, finally after 12 years I found a very good doctor young and very compassionate. What makes me upset is his going to be finished his residency on July. Thank you Dortor your the best.
A relative was in MSH for 3 wks for surgery under the care of Dr. J Wunder. He was a great Dr in my opinion. The nursing team on the 11th floor South unit were absolutely wonderful, caring, nurturing people. They took great care of my Aunt and I never worried that she should would be ignored after I went home. There was a young male Dr in one particular area who as far as I'm concerned had too much attitude and perhaps just trying to prove himself. Thankfully the team working with him convinced him his decisions were not the best one and he listened to them. Two nurses should have a special mention - Brittany & Joe on 11th flr South showed extra compassion and went above & beyond their duties in my opinion, they were angels in our time of need.
Horrible system for getting COVID tests. They made me miss my flight because of a technical error on their/MyChart's end and after waiting on the phone for an hour, they hung up on me.
Great Hospital
Terrible place to work at, everything is so disorganized, I'm desperately trying to find a job elsewhere.

Mount Sinai Hospital, Joseph and Wolf Lebovic Complex which is part of Sinai Health System, is as an internationally recognized 442-bed acute care academic health sciences centre affiliated with the University of Toronto. Mount Sinai has been designated with Exemplary Status from Accreditation Canada and every aspect of patient care is anchored in a rigorous quality plan and monitoring of safety and quality goals
Amazing staff all throughout the hospital, A+ to these wonderful people
Fantastic facilities and staff at the labor ward and the mother child wards. Caitlin, Perivash, Sandra and Marlene were so helpful with their tips, encouragement and general care. The new mother child wards are state of the art, providing time and space to bond with your newborn in a comfortable environment. I can't speak highly enough about the staff there during our stay.
This hospital is God's blessing to us. My wife was admitted with high risk pregnancy. She delivered twins. Both mother and babies are doing fine. Everyone in this hospital is great - from the person in the reception, the nurses, the doctors etc. I have only 2 words to describe this place - Excellent and Amazing. God bless them ????.
Arrived at 5:45 to Emerg with stomach pain... crowded as could be with everyone coughing & hacking... and I am now sick with coughing & sneezing. They should have offered a mask to everyone, not just those coughing. I was seen fairly quickly by triage, then had blood drawn within a reasonable time, given the crowds, then finally by an intern in the side office off emerg. after only 2 1/2 hrs. I then waited for another hr. to go inside, where I was made comfortable for a few more hours while awaiting the blood results. In the end, I was discharged without a diagnosis ~ advised to return if the symptoms worsened, and follow up with my own family physician. It was during discharge, that I actually spoke with a Dr., who advised that the "kit" I was given for testing should be taken to my own physician, which was quickly vetoed by the nurses with the statement "He's Wrong... He's doesn't know anything"... "bring it back here & drop it to emerg". This was fine with me.. and easier, so I will be dropping it off this evening as directed. However, I was stunned with the unprofessional attitude of the nurses, who sat around chatting about the lack of a Christmas Gift from the hospital, and how they couldn't wait to quit there and go onto other positions such as WSIB etc., wherein they felt they would be better treated financially and emotionally. This is something that should be not be discussed in front of patients, and this conversation went on with myself and another patient looking on for at least 15 / 20 minutes, then the conversation switched to one nurse being chastised by a patient for being a "racist", which they all laughed about... As I was there and saw the incident the nurse was referring to myself, firsthand, it was disconcerting to think that they would laugh about a patient who obviously had a "mental health" issue. I understood the emerg dept. was crazy busy, but the behavior of the nursing staff was totally unacceptable... As well, I was in Front Hall #4 bed, and both bathrooms were in deplorable condition to say the least, with the one, beside the nursing office, at the end of the hall, smelled so strongly of urine it was unusable ~ the cleaner, simply took a damp mop and swirled it around for 1 second, then left. The 2nd bathroom in the hall behind the nursing station was equally as bad with urine on the floor directly in front of the toilet, paper overflowing from the waste basket and nobody bothered to clean it for the first 2 hrs I was there. It was only after I mentioned it to the Nurses that it was cleaned, and by that I mean swiped over with an already "pissy" mop from the other washroom! So in closing, Triage staff was terrific.... inside emerg Nurses, Not So Much.. could you some training on what one should sit around and discuss within earshot of the patients... and it should never be personal stuff in my opinion.. I don't care when you are going on vacation, and what you use for your excema... I am sick and want to be tended, not given a blanket & a bed and then ignored for hours. All of my son's were born here, I have, over the years had surgery performed and the care was far superior to that of other hospitals, but during the last 3 or 4 years, it has gone down hill.
I came in on a Sunday afternoon with terrible abdominal pains. I was looked at within a half hour, but it took a few hours to see a doctor. But once I did they didn't stop till they found out what I had. They consulted with multiple specialists and collaborative ideas to make sure I get better. If you want a good hospital that will listen to you and check you out with a plan I'd recommend here in a heartbeat!
Good
This hospital is the foundation of University Ave. Parking is available at a cost, although it’s steps away from the subway station. Staff if helpful and respectful. All thumbs up here.
This hospital has the best staff. They are very compassionate and will take of you.My Auntuie had to get admitted here a few times and they took so good care of her. They never try to rush to send you home.
I recently delivered my first baby at Mount Sinai, had a planned induction and received the most incredible level of care throughout. The nurses and doctors (especially the nurses in both delivery and post partum care) were outstanding. Myself and my baby (once he arrived) were professionally and compassionately looked after during my 48hr stay. I cannot thank all of the staff enough for the level of care they provided me. My experience was truly positive from start to finish, thank you.
This was thee place i was adopted at 07/13/1967 Great Hosital ! !
In and out of emerge in 3 hours, everyone was nice and helpful
Idk I couldn't hear with all the hearing aids
Its been a year and no response from legal or relation with patient department. I got to ER on Jan 31th excruciating pain abdominal. They hooked me up on pain killer and ER doctor did a simple ultra sound and did not catch my inflamed appendix. I was sent back home high in drugs and with a pain killer prescription by 5am. By 7am I was crawling screaming and dying of pain alone in a studio I managed to call my building concierge to order a cab. I came back to be judge by this Nurse specimen the worst ever whom did not believe me and accused me that it was my fault for not going to the pharmacy and by the prescription which btw she kept with the rest of proof that I was there the day before. For legal reasons I asked my file and nothing was found. She put me as regular back in the system for Triage aware I was biting literally the iron from the bed I was offered. I was alone and my only friend came French speaker no one no one knew French not even this "nurse" my friend was furious because I was back in triage. Finally an angel came an Asian doctor who took me in and then 1hr later I was with my stomach open. My appendix almost burst. Note: I guess for this blondie nurse having addicts or homeless coming back to ask for more painkillers erased her humanity and judge me as another one. She was my nightmare and I'm still waiting for a follow up to report her and worst part No Spanish No French here in an International city. Shame
Nice helful staffs and doctors. Very convenient with the neighboring medical centers.
Terrible doctors and staff members needed my xrays from them that they lost on Feb 5th medical records are supposed to be kept for seven years... they managed to lose the xrays in 5 days
Great environment witha caring medical professionals
Doing an excellent job treating Canadians epecially during this tough time.
I was born here, and it has one of the best maternity wards in the city of Toronto, with competent and extremely professional doctors who've had years of experience in their fields of study and research.
Great Hospital with outstanding staff.
My husband and I had our baby girl delivered in Mount Sinai Hospital in October of 2020. The entire experience was amazing! Both the nurses and the doctors are professional, caring and supportive. Our stay after delivery went very smoothly. All medical personnel were always making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Although we brought everything for our newborn, Mount Sinai provided a lot of supplies for our baby. We went home happy and fully satisfied with the entire experience.
Over 12 hours in emergency without Food and half a cup of water to wait for a Dr to run a test to find a a result I told them they would find. In pain the entire time while staff ignores me. When they do acknowledge your existence when you try to speak to them they just walk away from you mid sentence. Unless you absolutely have to come here, don't bother
My son was born here. Amazing hospital. The new labour and delivery ward is incredible. The nurses are very experienced and always making you feel comfortable. Highly recommend this hospital. The postpartum department is a+++
This is a review strictly based on Dr. Varner. She has taken care of me in the emergency room twice and she is absolutely the most kindest doctor I have met. She’s knowledgeable, very sincere, she listens to your concerns and is very thorough with exams. Even during these rough Covid times I am happy to see wonderful doctors like her working at the hospital. I can’t thank her enough for all her help!
I had some very itchy skin irritation 3 weeks ago. It lasted for 2 weeks and kept getting worse. Then I went to this hospital, Dr. Hunchak, Cheryl gave me some betaderm cream. The cream is very effective, my skin started to heal after one day, then 3 days later it retreated 90%. Thanks Dr. Hunchak, thanks Mount Sinai Hospital!
it is a really good and caring hospital. also i was born here!
Staff are friendly!
They no longer do PCR testing, I'm told.
If you're sick, this is the place to be. The staff is very professional and the treatment is outstanding
Great Hospital ! Excellent staff very clean, very nice Would definitely recommend this hospital to anyone looking for one.
My friend was pregnant and she had miscarriage. We came to the emergency department, the staff took vital signs after a few minutes and then she had taken inside. She was with her husband, me and another friend. Although we spoke English well, but she and her husband was confused and scared, so they unable to communicate well with the medical staff. (we were international students -studied at york university- came from Saudi Arabia). The medical staff had allowed me to be with her to give helping hand in translastion related things as well support her during those difficult times. The specialist took all the enquiries my friend was worried about, he was so welcomed and listened to us with his heart. I really appreciate the medical staff and all the efforts they have. Last thing was so negative!! Before my friend had gone to operation room, the nurses needed me beacuse there were more information they wanted from my friend before signed the papers in the last. They want to make sure everything gone well under medical protocols. We had stood beside her bed in front of the operations room. Suddenly there was a rude nurse shout out us! She said "you should not be here at this area. Get out"!!! I was shocked but we were so exhausted and we had not ability to explain or argue with her. (we were in the hospital around half of the day more than 12 hours) Places such as hospitals are full with streeed, anxious, and exhausted people (the medical staff, patients, and patients' families). People need to understand some of them need help (patients) and other need respect (the medical staff) simultaneously.
First class experience and patient care! My appreciation to the healthcare workers at Sinai is beyond words. They are all very caring, helpful and professional. Thanks for being there for us. I’m glad we have such healthcare provider in Toronto
In the fiscal year ending March 2013, Mount Sinai Hospital cared for 128,714 inpatients days, delivered almost 7000 babies and performed almost 20,000 surgeries. Toronto and area residents made more than half a million ambulatory clinic visits to Mount Sinai. In that same year, the hospital’s Schwartz/Reisman Emergency Department saw 56,080 visits and that number is expected to increase to 80,000 per year over the next few years.
I went here for a CT scan after a year of other tests at other hospitals. Compared to those other places, Sinai was a dream. All the staff were super professional, my appointment was on time, and prep made super easy. Has a great reputation for a reason.
Bed bugs, too many trainees. I was pressured to cooperate to do things I didn't want too and felt very violated and like I was a test experiment. My daughter was born happy and healthy, that's the reason for the three stars.
I had two really good experiences so far with Mt Sinai. Back in 2018, my girlfriend had a swollen kidney (infection) and had a really high fever. We went to Toronto Western hospital initially and after waiting 12 hours and a few test they gave her Tylenol and we went home. The next day, the infection was back again after the Tylenol wore off so we came to Mt Sinai. The doctors and nurses were all helpful and kind, after 6 hours they prescribed us antibiotics and she was feeling better the next day. I recently came here as I have been having pain in my groin area. After an ultrasound with my family doctor they found that I had an enlarged prostate (I'm in my 20s). They booked me in with a urologist and the earliest appointment was February (I had been prescribed cirpofloxin but it didn't work). One month later (October 2021), I noticed the pain started to get worse and I went to Mt Sinai to get it checked. I got there around 5am and there wasnt too many people. After 5 hours, I was prescribed Tamsulosin and ibuprofen. Recently received a call to get an earlier appointment from the specialist and I'm very happy. The pain had honestly getting worse and was worried that I would have to go back in again. Thank you for your help Mt Sinai and keeping everyone safe and healthy!
WARNING - Emergency Room (ER) provides basement bottom minimum care by burnt out, combative, and arrogant triage staff. We must be grateful to our Front Line Workers, but on the other hand, those of us who are double vaccinated and suffering life or death related injuries and infections (not covid related) must be respected, too. The waiting room is over crowded and chaotic; a lot of noise and a lack of adequate accommodations for autistic patients. I am experiencing kidney shutdown due to an upper respiratory infection that has migrated, and I was told “you can sit, and you can wait!” In truth this is the second time in two days I’ve been here. I spent 12 hours at the hospital yesterday and left voluntarily when the inadequacy of services and facilities became apparent. They wanted me to stay for upwards of 48 hours without an inpatient room. Here’s an important note for hospitals… many patients require bedrest as the doctor’s preferred remedy, and it’s appalling really that hospitals are not only ill-equipped to provide this to patients, they actually make it IMPOSSIBLE to rest by keeping you in the waiting room upright and amongst chaos for upwards of 6 hours, only to transfer you to more waiting rooms and more chairs. I don’t know what the solution is to be honest, but if you have autism and are highly sensitive to chaotic and toxic environments, hospitals are kinda a lose-lose situation ☹️
at Mount Sinai the nurses as well as the dr. take there time with you will listen to ur concerns very helpful. now I have been to some hospitals em u feel rushed. not Mount Sinai
Care here is always amazing. Best hospital in the city
I know it's weird to rate a hospital. But just wanted to share my appreciation for the staff here. I was at the covid assessment Centre today and everyone is so organized, efficient and pleasant. Thank you- it can't be an easy job!
Worst experience I've every had at a hospital! No communication, no answers, just wait..6 hours later my pregnant wife and I are still waiting.
I wish Doc Andrew in the ER was my family doc. I've been treated by him a couple of times in the past year and he's always prompt, charming (good rapport building) and to the point providing simple explanations. All the best Doc!
This is the hospital that I was born in and they took so much care of my mom after and before my birth. Thank You
Got my Pilonidal cyst drained today at Mount Sinai emergency. From the time I arrived with so much pain until the end I walked out with such a relief, the entire process took 3 hours in total. I would say their emergency was very efficient and took my pain into account during the process. The doctor was very fast and professional, most importantly, he knew very clearly what needed to be done stepwise during the surgery. If comparing with my previous experience at a hospital in Scarborough, Mount Sinai absolutely worth this rating.
The ppl at the front desk in the emergency room are extremely rude, especially the spanish lady ...
I was under the care of the 'top guy' at NYGH and St. Mike's but none could control my IBD (e.g. Crohn's and Colitis). Well it turns out they were not bothering to measure the centimetres of my disease. I did my own research and finally came upon the IBD Program at Mount Sinai. If you have Crohn's or Colitis in Ontario and are not getting better under your regular GI, these are the sub-specialist GIs to seek out for care. Dr. Mark Silverberg got me into remission in 14 weeks with a biological IV medication. I got my life back and my little boy got his Mommy back. Forever grateful. (NB This care, provided by GIs who have the extra 1 year Fellowship training in IBD, needs to be provided across Ontario and Canada. IBD is becoming 'Canada's National Disease', apparently.
After thinking I had a sprained ankle for a few days, I woke up one day and wasn’t able to put any weight on that leg. Long story short, I had a fracture in my right tibia. I was in and out of the emergency room in less than 2 hours after getting the x-rays done, being fitted for an air cast, and a getting a crash course on how to use crutches. I think the doctor may have thought I was just trying to get pain meds though, there seemed to be a bit of an vibe like they didn’t think I was really hurt, until they saw the x-rays. But to be fair, I have a high pain tolerance and it really didn’t hurt at all unless I put weight on the leg or the doctor pressed on the area. Once they realized I wasn’t going to ask for pain meds, the emergency room doctor and nurse that were looking after me seemed to get a little friendlier. I don’t fault them at all though for being on guard, I would have been if I were in their position.
I had a surgery at Mount Sinai recently and I couldn't be more appreciative of every single nurse and doctor I met there. It was my first surgery ever, so I was super anxious about it, but they were all so caring, professional and attentive which made me feel so calm and comfortable. They really helped make an otherwise nerve-racking experience so much more positive. I've been to a couple of other hospitals downtown Toronto and Mount Sinai by far stood out in patient care and professionalism. Many thanks to the nurses and doctors at Mount Sinai!!!
My doctor is good but I literally cannot get a hold of her.
One of the best hospital in Canada..
Even though ulcerative colitis has changed my life in mostly a negative way, the gastroenterologist team here was an absolute pleasure and honour to have by my side during my tough time being diagnosed. I cant thank them all enough for the advice and support that they showed me. Also the nurses here are absolutely amazing at making you feel as comfortable and as healthy as possible. I can't thank you all enough for your support and care.
I’ll make this short. My daughter had a massive heart defect that was missed at a different hospital/clinic. So she was born at 23 weeks. Luckily she survived long enough for me to play music for her, music that she maybe was familiar with since I played it for her and her mother throughout her pregnancy- so that maybe she had something familiar to hear before she passed away. The nurse on the 15th floor, Nabat; was the most gentle and compassionate, competent nurse we could of hoped for. This is not to say the rest of the staff that received us on dec23 was sub par- they were great. But Nabat was our nurse, our friend and our guide throughout this. I don’t know how these people do what they do...it seemed as though she could never lose composure. From my heat to yours Nabat, I hope they take care of you because you really, truly took care of us.
I had an amazing experience at Mount Sinai Hospital where I gave birth to my son. Even through my doctor Dr. Abells was unable to deliver my son, he made sure to check up on me and make sure everything was going smoothly. Dr Elyse Levinsky delivered my son and at one point I was scared cause the nursing kept losing his heartbeat, so Dr Elyse rushed me to the operating room where she told me everything that she would be doing i had to end up getting cut to get the vacuum in, in order to get out my son quickly as possible. When everything was done she stitched me up, it took 45 minutes but I believe she wanted to make sure I was stitched up right... Thanks to the Mount Sinai Staff, I would surely have another baby there
Thank you for taking care of Mr. Nikhil Sharma and Mrs. Shanice Shrestha Sharma ❤️❤️
I CANNOT overstate how bad the COVID testing site is here. I went at 2:30PM on a week day with AN APPOINTMENT, I finished the testing at 4:00PM, and 80% of that time I waited INDOORS with over 10 people in an enclosed space with LITTLE social distancing measures. Once you enter, you go through a corridor, and then into a classroom sized room, in that room there are easily OVER 20 PEOPLE (NOT INCLUDING STAFF). IS THIS EVEN A HOSPITAL? No, IT IS A COVID SPREADING NIGHTMARE HOUSE.
Get COVID tested here! Booked an appointment on their Eventbrite page and went there today. The green door on the right is steps away from Queens Park station. The door was very easy to find. There's staff to help you with registration and procedures. They are superbly friendly and helpful. Once inside it's a matter of minutes to get the test sample taken and you can be on your way! I can't possibly praise this enough. Don't line up anywhere for hours and go there for getting COVID tested.
10/10 came in at 4:00AM had horrible throat and ear pain to the point i couldn’t breathe through my mouth and every time I tried to eat I was yelling in pain as it hurt so much to swallow, my ears constantly felt like they were bleeding and felt so sore. This had gone on for a week now, I had gone to western emergency hospital 2 days ago and was dismissed and only given Tylenol. As it they said “it’s probably nothing” When coming all staff here were nice and understanding. The doctor and nurse were kind and listened deeply to my concerns and gave me real results, I got antibiotics that allowed me to go back to work normally and was referred to a specialist I truly appreciate all their work here and time especially at such a late hour. They also called a few days later to follow up, which is greatly appreciated thank you ❤️
I came here this evening after spending about 3 hours of constant vomiting at home, which continued still in the ER. I was dizzy, lightheaded, fever and chills. My boyfriend and I waited for 2 hours without one word from anyone, no blood work done, nothing. They gave me a Gravol shot and that was it. Other people came in who did not appear to be in serious distress and we’re taken care of immediately. Meanwhile I’m sitting here in the waiting room still vomiting every couple seconds. We decided to leave after asking for an update on when I could see someone or have blood work, which the triage nurse said eventually but it probably won’t make a difference and at this point we’re told we have to sign papers since we were going against medical advice, what advice? There wasn’t much given. Next time I have an issue I’ll try st.mikes or elsewhere.
Too much waiting time
I had a thyroidectomy done here. The Doctors made me feel at ease, and everything went well. Thank you all.
I just wanted to appreciate dr solnik and his great and professional fellow, I had a surgery, and I couldn't believe exactly 1 hour after surgery I was able to run ,and without any pain ,after 8 hour I didn't use any pain killer, I already had a surgery with other dr and I remember after 20 days I was sick, but now I believe miracle happened for me,thank you very much dr solnik you are very professional and real surgeon.
Treat as animal people human old age who visited Toronto. Monster hospital. Great Canada.
Terrible phone system. Redirected numerous times and several times you pick a selected option it just disconnects you immediately.
The level of professionalism and patient care is simply amazing. They have various types of specialist in the hospital to help sort through complex cases. My wife and I are really impressed with this hospital.
Had surgery here this past summer and the staff inside the unit I had the surgery in are professional and friendly. My surgeon Dr. Keith Jarvi is very good. Knocked one star off because the staff outside this unit is not that great, also did not seem like they wanted to be at their job, did not give good directions on where to go.
The best Toronto hospital. Sandwiches ???? well above passable. Great doctors except for one. To those in the know, all I can say is Jerzy Jovok.
waited over one hour , not organized
The nurses were very kind and helped speed up the wait time for me!
Terrible experiences, - Only Dr. That can diagnose Pudendal Nerve Entrapment, Pudendal Neuralgia no longer employed at Mount Sinai and will never be replaced. Mount Sinai knows that this is a excruciatingly 24/7 painful disease with a high rate of suicide and Divorce, so they hired a Dr. to taper everyone’s pain meds before they released all their patients. Today once again referred to wrong Dr. who cannot help after 2.5 hr drive one way. This Dr. was nice but frustrated as after four years is still not on list of Doctors employed by Mount Sinai. His patients are being referred to TGH because of same last name.
Triage staff at ER sucks, Met with someone called Viviane and I went in with suspicion of a blood , she was arrogant aggressive and impolite. They talk to you as if you are a beggar! Even their security same rudeness. Avoid the ER and save yourself of the discriminating Triage staff.
If you you must to test for covid, and see a line going around the corner, do not join it. My daughter and I were turned back after waiting for 5 hours.
Security, nurses and front desk are very unprofessional and disrespectful. Too many rude people together in one place. Staffs in a 3rd world country hospital can treat us better. Very sad what I experienced today at the Mountain Signal Hospital on a Christmas day. I will never come back
I was sent to emergency by a walk-in clinic for appendicitis and I've had a bunch of tests and seen the doctor all in under 3 hours which does seem to bad. Medical staff have been nice except for maybe the initial intake person at reception.
Phenomenal care. Staff is stellar beyond words. We had a complicated delivery and the care was just so amazing. Couldn’t imagine being in better hands. Thank you so much to the wonderful nurses and doctors that took care of us. Baby Joey thanks you!!!
I had two surgeries done at mount Sinai hospital. Two very complicated fibroids in the uterus. the fibroids were in between the uterus and the cavity where babies grow. I had big chances of bleeding at the table without stopping and die or having a hysterectomy and never be able to be a mother. The fibroids were big. I was devastated but Doctor Elisa lavisky was an angel in my life. She called 3 of her friends that were also doctors and specialists. I had 4 doctors with me on the day of the surgery. I have a lot to thank this hospital, everything went extremely well God is good. He always send you to the right place where his angel will help you.
Worst hospital ever! I don’t even want to give it 1 star . From myself experiencing a high risk pregnancy then being left untreated in labor / delivery for over 10 hours with no treatment or tests or check in with any nurse ( just left in my room) To A nurse telling me she was tired of black babies then go onto physically abuse her while my daughter was in the NICU, Management staff has yet to show my complaints were looked into .or even apologize Only when the nurse abused 4-5 other babies after my daughter was she then fired !!!! #blacklivesmatter
I have yet to meet an unhappy or unprofessional doctor or nurse. Mount Sinai is really great.
Labour and delivery ward was great!
Mount Sinai Gynecology 700 University Ave third floor - blood lab- horrible experience. I was being poked with thick needle twice, they couldn't find the vein. They were very rough and not paying attention. I gave up. I went to life labs near me, the young lady did the same arm just once and she got it. I am very disappointed at Mount Sinai experience. The site of my arm is brutally bruised from them. Their lab workers are incompetent!. I will never go there again for blood work.
Went here for an MRI yesterday and was kind of freaked out but they helped set me at ease and it was nice and bright in the room and was over before I knew it! Thank you so much to all the staff there!!
Great staff in the ER very professional and nice
There is exactly 11% chance that this hospital - MRI department picks up your call. I called 27 times (across 5-6 weeks) and 3 times I was connected to speak with someone. I bet the excuse is "COVID" even though they have nothing to do with it ...
Great location! So many options. You can have just about anything done here. And there's coffee close by.
Very well organized hospital and staff.. felt no worries during my visit and they took good precautions for covid as well. I recommend this hospital for all
I had a hip replacement operation on Thursday February the 11th and was discharged the following morning. The operation was carried out by Dr Gross and Dr Kuzyk both amazing doctors. My overall experience was excellent and the focus on patient care was evident with everybody that I met from the office, pre-op and the actual operation. I want to thank all of the doctors and nurses, the anesthetists, physiotherapists and everyone I came in contact with for their open honest communications. They made it easy and in some cases fun. I thank everyone. Eric Smith
I went to this hospital to have my baby because I believed they were well staffed & equipped to handle even more complex situations. How wrong I was. I had a healthy pregnancy, no health issues throughout my pregnancy & even my OB anticipated a very successful delivery. I wanted to have my baby naturally as with my older kid, no epidural was my preference. I was in active labor when I got to the hospital at 3:00 am. I was lying in the labor bed for several hours but my labor wasn't progressing. The anaesthetists just kept on singing this epidural thing as an option. No encouragement for natural birth process. I had indicated that I would rather prefer nitrous oxide & they said I couldn't get it until I was 8-9 cm dilated. I finally got the epidural for pain relief & because they gave me the impression that it will relax my muscle & contractions will follow smoothly. My condition got worst from that moment they started the epidural. It relieved the pain & took away my contractions. I started having severe shaking, convulsions, & seizure- like symptoms which apparently are the side effects of epidural & the hospital staff did not recognize. They only said it is strange. I ended up having a C-section which could've been preventable with a little more attention by the entire healthcare team attending to me at the time. VERY SAD EXPERIENCE.
My mother was treated with the best care I have ever experienced in a hospital in our city. She is 90 years old and was taken in Tuesday AM by ambulance. She is on the mend and doing exceptionally well. The follow up that day by the Doctors on the floor were awesome. Even a call the following evening by the one female doctor checking on her was something you rarely get!
Went here in October 2018 to deliver my son. When I went to register downstairs 6am approximately I was in pain come to find.out 8cm dilated when I got to the delivery room Those women working downstairs saw I had no one to help me and I asked for help they literally just watched me in pain and I asked for wheelchair they refused to get it. Horrible horrible for two people look at each other's faces and not helping at all. Hope it happens to them so they learn how to treat people.why are they working if they have no skills that show their quality qualifications .
Went here for a visit, super fast. The place looks a bit depressing but it's an old hospital so it's expected. Overall a good experience.
My friend told me about her experience in the dental department. The department charged her a $180 "consultation fee" for an uncomplicated extraction. The fee should have been around $35. Beware. The dental department at Mount Sinai said this was a 'flat' fee - according to the ODA this is fee that is based on complexity and time. $180 fee is for a half hour consultation for extremely complicated surgery. AGAIN BEWARE!!! The dental dept. was very defensive which was a red flag and then refused to return calls. VERY CONCERNING!!!
My dad had a procedure done today by Dr. Beecroft and I have to say I’ve never been to a hospital where they treated my dad with so much care, until now. The nurse Jami was amazing, she put my father and I at ease. With such a stressful job and lineup of patients, I would have never expected the care given by him and his team. I am truly appreciative for everyone who helped with the procedure.
Operators were unable to take my call at 5:30pm on a monday, unsure of what the hours are but I stayed on for 45 minutes without anyone answering. Also about a month and a half ago I tried to make an apointment with a new resident doctor I was assigned. I again called the operators and was greeted by an employee that was entirely unable to help me at all. I explained my situation to which they annoyedly told me that I had reached the switch board for the entire hospital, and could not help me to the extent I wanted. which was fine. however when I asked what I should do they had absolutely no solutions as to how I should reach my doctor. I was not asked for my health card information nor any information regarding my membership with the hospital. so I gave up trying to reach my resident doctor, I mean I'm not calling back if your staff are entirely unable to help my situation. a week after this call I recieved a call from someone regarding my missed apointment. it seemed that someone had noticed it on my file and called me to book another apointment. This information is clearly on file and accessible to your staff. I struggle to understand why your switch board was unable to access my information and why now I'm waiting nearly an hour just to talk to someone. I understand covid is causing longer than normal wait times and I'm willing to accept that, however I am still lodging a complaint against the simple functions your operator was unable to perform. I understand your reputaiton is one of the best in the world, but if it this hard for me to navigate your system I hate to think of what it would be like for say an elderly person.
Excellent service I arrived at the hospital at 2:30 pm and was out by 8 pm. I was dealing with a major problem so it took that long, other patients before me and after me finished much more earlier. Very good service they get job done effectively and efficiently.
Very disapointed...I had my first born in USA and had an incredible experience and then my second one at MSH ...Starting with the pregnancy, waiting time and no consideration for the appointment (there were times when I literally had to wait more than 7 hours), doctors who will not repeat a procedure after 2 weeks for your peace of mind if the result was not right; I felt like a number not a person with feelings who deserves to be treated with respect...Should I mention that the doctor wanted to take me off the medication prescribed by the hemathologist, telling me that is useless at this point and that he can show me scientifically that after the placenta takes a full role I don't need blood thinners and in three weeks he had to add another blood thinner...What would have happened if I would have said yes, and accepted to quit the medication prescribed by the hemathologist? He did not even apologized or acknowledged in any way his mistake and plus he made me feel the entire time that "he's doing me a big favour"...Now I'm going to talk about delivery time...the epidural did not work, was performed by a trainee not the anesthesiologist herself...they did a sort of study but they guarantied it will work ...the max, they said, it will be delayed 5 minutes...there were other females screaming and the nurse said too that whatever they are doing, it's not working...so I ended being their guinea pig...I also had to share a room since they had no private one so we couldn't fully enjoy the baby since we had to refrain from talking so we will not disturb, or been stressed if the baby was crying...This are just a few of the things I experience...And let me tell you, this service was not free as some people would say, the government takes about 40% of my money in taxes ...you do pay directly for the service in USA but honestly there is no comparison...if this is consider the best hospital in the area for high risk pregnancies, how would the rest of the hospitals do? ????
When to visit a friend it was not a bad experience what more can i say about a hospital everything was good
Do not book a covid test here if you can avoid it. I had to wait an astonishing 1hr 39mins in spite of having an appointment. You will be packed in with people who may have covid and are thus more likely to contract the virus while getting tested. This was an absolute nightmare and a legitimate embarsssment to the Canadian healthcare system.
ml once told me I should drop band instead of getting me my water. Otherwise he was very good at following my orders
Nicest staff I have ever dealt with at a hospital..Everyone is so kind and caring in the emergency department-Made everything so much easier for me and not very long wait times compared to other hospitals!
I had my COVID testing here on 8th of December. Unlike the other negative reviews, I didn’t find anything wrong with this assessment centre. First I entered the wrong entrance, someone from the hospital guided me to the correct location. And the nurses in the assessment centre was very friendly. The corridor was not cold (it was -5 outside). There are seatings available, each 2m apart. And in the registration room, they help you with ‘mychart’ account. In minutes I got tested. Again, the nurses were very friendly and explained everything, they didn’t rush; and after each patient the unit is completely cleaned for the next patient. And it’s a spacious accommodation for more than 50 but they limit it to less than 20 including the staff. Some comments here mentioned that there is no space for physical distancing and I think that’s not true.
This review pertains to Mt. Sinai's emergency department. The facility is smothered with filth, cobwebs cover corners of the rooms, "sterile" supplies are fully exposed to ill patients (should be placed away from general public in a storage room), staff doesn't wear gloves when handling patients, bedsheets are not changed after each patient's use, beds are not sanitized after each patient's use, staff doesn't clean fresh vomit off surfaces (we saw patients vomit in the main waiting area while the staff simply stared at the patient without isolating them; it took 2 hours before staff decided to clean the vomit), staff is unsanitary because they eat their food with bare hands while handling urine samples and talking to patients (we saw this at the RAZ area at the nurse "hangout"). The whole waiting area and adjacent hallway were blocked with as many as 10 stretchers, which is a fire and safety hazard. Security staff are unaware of people entering and leaving because they're too busy gossiping and texting. Staff doesn't change out of their hospital uniform when they exit the hospital (staff seems to have forgotten about the SARS outbreak). My wife was at the emergency department and the nurse elbowed my wife's face, gave my wife a long hard stare and told my wife that she knows she hit my wife's face but it's ok because my wife looked fine. Several patients witnessed this incident and were shocked at the physical assault they just witnessed. Nurse Samantha (aka Sam) is a rude, derogatory, unprofessional employee who is in desperate of proper training; she needs to be sent to school for legal and ethical training so she can stop assaulting patients. It's not legal or ethical to hit a patient regardless of what this nurse thinks is ok. My wife was already in pain and nurse Sam gave her more unwarranted physical distress. The nurse did not apologize. We could clearly hear the conversations nurse Sam was having with her colleagues at the nurses station, which included the typical "these patients are stupid" statements. If you hate your job, then quit because clearly you're unfit for it. Taxpayer dollars go to your pocket. Nurse Sam work on January 26, 2017 in the morning to afternoon. My family has been a longtime financial donor to this hospital, and like many other longtime patients we have seen this hospital deteriorate over the years. It's unfortunate that the emergency department was my wife's first experience at this hospital despite our many years of financial donations. Due to our shockingly unprofessional experience at the emergency department, we have decided to stop financial donations to this hospital after three generations of donations. We cannot justify giving more money to a hospital whose staff treats patients like this. As a family, we don't recommend this hospital anymore, and we will tell our friends at temple about this deplorable experience. You can thank nurse Sam and her unwarranted physical assault for that.
I so wish I had a great review to give, however I have to agree with the majority about the poor service at this hospital... I went to the gift shop, there was no greeting, no may I help you? only ‘we are closing in three minutes and a tap on the watch’... if I was unavoidable, I’ll probably won’t be returning... I hope that they can improve their service...
I just delivered my child here via c-section all the staffs nurses, especially doctors especially doctor ally are really perfect! Thanks to all of them I recovered very fast and has no complaint at all. God bless you guys and amount Sinai Hospital.
I wish they had 10 stars. I was seen at labour and delivery in triage yesterday, my experience was wonderful. I was there for quite some hours but I am high risk. I haven been going to Brampton civic for unknown pains for 3 weeks and Being sent home with Tylenol: I had seen two resident dr, Sarah and I think Dr. John . When the male dr came in he told me he saud all lab work came back baby is safe. However He was very concerned why I was ill and he escalated with his team to find further in order to help me and my 25weeks pregancy. He took the time to listen and understand my previous issues. I then had a scan from a really cool lady samara I think her name was, she checked me out and again checked and did every thing an was very interested to help my baby and me. She had found a notch on my left side and (that isn’t good my baby hadn’t been getting enough blood supply from that side. She educated me on making my appts every week to high risk clinic as I need to be monitored. Although I was scared she and the whole team made me feel strong to do the best for my baby. The nurses were very good all of them. They were energetic , they are really busy professionals in this building an ward as they deal with people all over the city with many different things. I seen a review below of a black women whom had written a review against a nurse stating she was tired of black babies” people please don’t listen to ignorant people as they will try anything to excuse u from life saving care because of their own thinking. I am a black female and I was treated great! If I was to deliver an be put to sleep I would feel safe and I know my baby would be to! I give that review no weight and I will assure u Mount Sinai has all type of race working and they are very much equal. I would never go back to my local hospital for pregnancy, mount Sinai you guys are the best and I thank you so much for helping me an my child. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️God Bless and I commend your knowledge!!!
Had to go get a special ultra sound done today . I was nervous as heck as many places I've been have not been informative . But they were absolutely amazing here !
amazing staff and group of nurses and doctors
An absolutely horrendous place to experience the birth of your child. Their facilities are wonderful, but their post-labour care is abysmally irresponsible and unconcerned with patient care, and the result of this was that our newborn daughter became extremely sick upon leaving the hospital, because none of our comments, requests, or observations were taken seriously by the staff, no matter how much we asked them to listen. I would never, ever use this hospital again for any reason unless it was absolutely necessary.
We waited for 12 hours approx for a doctor to perform a surgical abscess procedure. The staff was horrendous especially the nurse, she just kept saying "I dont know" and then at the end when I told her I couldnt wait anymore because of the pain she said the doctor is busy and theres nothing anyone can do and then I told her I was leaving and her exact words were "sorry you wasted your time". Horrible horrible! Horrible hospital for emergency and horrible staff.
The staff are unprofessional, when I say staff, I mean the Nurses! They are rude, gossip about patients and have a bad attitude in general. The clerks are rude as well. Hospitals should start implementing professional training on how to interact respectfully with patients. Patients, such as myself, are unfamiliar with the chain of command. They behave like that, because they have zero accountability! I won't be going back there.
Horrible service. For regular stuff(no experience with covid testing), they ‘re reckless and unprofessional to be a hospital. It is nearly impossible to reach the doctor, you just have to pray that they call back to consult. They asked for a bloodwork which first they told can be done anywhere. After getting the results, i had to try numerous times to reach the reception for this doctor to discuss results. After a month , they reply and say you need to repeat bloodwork at our hospital. The lab which is supposed to close 5.30 was closed before 5. Next time, the lab attendant wanted a hard copy of requisition just when everything is becoming virtual bcz of covid. And again that day they closed at 4.30 just because the lady felt like wanting to go home.
10 hrs in emergency waiting for CT scan. Don’t go there. Really bad service
Mount Sinai Gynecology 700 University Ave third floor - blood lab- horrible experience. I was being poked with thick needle twice, they couldn't find the vein. I gave up. I went to life labs near me, the girl did it once she got it. Incompetent workers need more training or serious attitude. I will never go there again for blood work.
I have been twice at this hospital this Summer and was impressed by the personnel. Everyone was very kind, including the doctors. The only downside was the waiting time to get an iv due to dehydration. Spent 6.5 h there. I wish there would be a fast line for pregnant women...
First and foremost, please understand that this is a busy public health facility. Some mannerisms may not always be present due to the Long shifts, and some mental health patients adding complications in the ER. This can affect the staffs mood. Nonetheless, this is my go to facility. They’ve re-attached my cut thumb, removed my appendix and examined me for whiplash twice. Compared to its neighbours, it offers a much higher quality of service.
Great team fast and easy services, I had 3 girls delivered,. each and everyone were so nice with me. God Bless you all
This was without question the best ER experience I have ever had. To begin with, the hospital has very good facilities for ER patients. The waiting room, although dated, is pleasant and comfortable. There is a higher end coffee and snack bar in the lobby. I was assessed literally within 5 seconds of arriving. It was moderately busy at the time. I was registered within 15 minutes thereafter, and saw a doctor within 1.5 hours. All of the staff was courteous and pleasant. The doctor was young, and with that goes openness to questions, suggestion and treatment. Even if my wait time was long, which it was not, it would have been a very positive experience. I overheard in ER that an elderly woman with diabetes was asked to stay overnight so that a physio therapist could help her with a plan to regain her mobility int he morning. Most ER's would have shucked her out the door or made her lie in the corridor all night long, without turning their mind to a need for a plan. It was truly affirming , for my faith in humanity and medical care, to observe and experience the excellent care provided by this ER.
A big thank you to Doc. Wunder and his amazing team and everyone at Mount Sinai super fantastic people Top Notch Hospital
Best service Very competent and nice staff They know what is the care meaning. God bless you.
Would have gave the hospital emergencydepartment a 5 out of 5, for the great work that the nurses abnd other staff put forth. I went friday late evening with really bad nausea vomitting and an excrusiating pain in my back, all associated to gastro problems. I got lucky to see Dr.Goldman and his assistant in training Sarah, whom decided to try me on some new medicine that I can truly say has been helping me thus far, not a miracle cure but as good as you can get to it. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. Why I didnt give them 5 out of 5, is because most patients dont get a room to be put in and its very uncomfortable talking about private matters out in the open. But everything else including compassion and professionalism is a 5. Thank you all.
I love and respect this hospital so much. They were so kind and helpful during one of the hardest times of my life. In addition to that, the hospital was clean to my liking. (I’m a germaphobe) and the food court was nice. I knew I was in good hands. Thank you so much Mount Sinai!
Dr. Rahul Joshi acute care doctor at Mount Sinai proved himself to be a world class doctor. You definitely want to be under his care when trying to determine the root cause for your symptoms. Thank you doctor for your keen medical perspective, your heartfelt compassion and devotion. You have a bright future ahead of you!
didnt like the nursing. wainted way 2 long!
Very rude reception! Bossy and not ready to listen to anyone! Sick
World class hospital with very professional and caring nurses and doctors. Special shoutout to the nurses in the neonatal intensive care unit! Seriously their NICU is one of the best in the world.
Horrific medical and nursing staff. Admitted for severe gastric bleed and forced to leave after 4 days based on single digit increase In hemoglobin. Absolutely irresponsible and arrogant doctors and nurses. Do yourself a favour and do not seek care here. If you do keep informed on your results and what was communicated, as they blatantly LIE. Zero Compassion. Only care about Paying patients.
I gave birth to my son here about a month ago and I would do it all over again if I had to. The nurses assigned to me rarely left my side and explained everything in detail. Not only did they engage in conversation but they made me feel so at ease because I was very nervous due to this being my first child. I also had to have an emergency c section which is scary to me considering I’ve never had at surgery in my life but it didn’t take that long and was stitched up quite quickly so I could enjoy the time with my husband and son.
Horrible hospital, they took forever to attend me! Never going back to this hospital and I wouldn’t recommend it at all!
Whatever you do in your life, if the customer is a doctor from Mount Sinai Hospital, take a coffee break, chat with the wife and work to order before you serve them.
Registration staffs are not friendly at all, they don't greet you or acknowledge you, it will be nice if there are some self registering kiosks so no need to face these grumpy Staffs
Had an outpatient MRI done here. No waiting to get into the hospital. Waiting Room for MRI was socially distanced and seemed to be scheduled so that only one person was waiting in any one area at a time. Techs were very friendly and accommodating.
Awesome nurses and doctors in the Emergency Room they attended me professionally and explained the results of my labs highly recommended ????
TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE. STAFF WAS AS RUDE AS POSSIBLE. WOULD NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN. WORSE HOSPITAL EVER. SORRY I WENT THERE. THEY TOOK MY PHONE AND I DID NOT GET IT BACK - SO THEY STOLE IT.
Dr A Omar in Rheumatology, was one of the most solicitous, intelligent and caring physicians I’ve encountered in a long time. He patiently listened to my concerns, and consequently sent me for several tests to determine any possible underlying condition which would account for my chronic pain. At my return appointment, Dr Omar took his time and educated me as to what the diagnosis was according to the lab and X-ray results , which fell under his domain and referred me to an appropriate physician to assess and treat the results that were not. On top of his incredible professionalism, he was also kind and reassuring , taking pains to avoid frightening me as he went over my lab results. At the same time , he was not at all paternalistic. Thank you again Mt Sinai .
The best hospital. This comes from my life experience.
Best Doctors, Service and Hospital in Toronto
I was physically assaulted and my wallet was robbed about $30 by an Asian female security officer who is employed here. I informed her I would be pressing charges, however now I don't even have her name because she gave me a trespassing notice saying I cannot enter Mount Sinai ever again, with some made up crimes I apparently did, but didnt. She psychologically abused me and made sure it looked like I was the one who hurt people when in fact I was cooperative and definitely in too much pain to be "assaulting" a bunch of nurses and security guards. I'm a 115 lb female, I'm sure if I had actually tried to assault them they could easily stop me as they are trained for that and I am not physically strong enough to hurt people and have no desire to hurt anyone I'm expecting to be helping me. Long story short, I was manipulated, ganged up on , assaulted, laughed at, them trespassed so that I cant come back to get their names to file a complaint or press charges.
today I took my wife to the emergency department of the hospital, she has a stomach problem, the triage nurse told us that my wife was doing drama while my wife was suffering. she heared the nurse say and she cried. it shocked us, especially since it was the first contact we had with the Canadian health service, it's shameful, it's unfortunate and it's above all offensive.
Excellent ER: hospitable, clean and quick.
The food court has allot of variety and there is an Aroma Cafe inside, very quick and staff are always pleasant, make sure you try their turkey blt and strong macchiato to get you past 3 o'clock brickwall.
The staff, nurses, and doctors are absolutely the best. They are the most respectful people i have met. You are number one with these people and the gratitude i have for them is contagious. With all my respect, i thank everyone of you. Brad
Really friendly and knowledgeable staff. Best care I've received at a hospital. The nurses and doctors were very nice.
To the most advanced very well managed performance excellent doctors are incrdably talented medically norses are really helping the patients with smile, the food in hospital was delicious the portions is right even the cleaning staff do their job with smile . I was there from 8-27march 2018 and should say iam proud to be an Iranian-Canadian to have such a institution which rank one of the top hospital in the WORLD. Well done mr.joseph maps.
Terrible experience with the care of my sister. Student doctors given WAY too much responsibility. Floor nurses non existent ( had to hire private when family not available) when one is seen, they appear incapable of therapeutic communication. They claim to be understaffed and overworked, so this may be a management issue ? Pretty sad atmosphere
Always treated well by doctors and staff.
Great hospital..dont listen to the bad reviews they are from over expecting patients who cant respect one of the best hospitals in ontario..the doctors are great my girlfriend had has several surgeries and were completely helpful in every way
Best hospital ever !!!! Best service
MRI was on time and the nurse kind to my issue with it.
Poor attention from Drs. My wife is a patient here and has had complications and her Drs say to her face that she is a priority and they need to move quickly, yet they show no effort and will see other patients while we wait in a hall when really she needs a bed. Not impressed in the least.
I had a mastectomy followed by reconstruction. Spent 4 days in the ICU on the 18th floor due to lack of beds on the post-surgical floor. The nurses were amazing. I am sorry for those who had bad experiences, but mine was amazing. I felt bad for leaving without saying good-bye. Catherine, Maylinda and Heidi (night) made sure I was comfortable, always had a chat, they felt more like friends. I was up and about walking the halls by Sunday. Thank you to all the nurses. They had a few difficult people and they managed them with professional care.
Had to go to their emergency department. Friendly and courteous nurses and doctors. Everything went relatively quickly (3 hours altogether, including a small surgical procedure). They are renovating, so they are a bit improvising with the space.
Best hospital. Dr. Kingdom and Dr. Ryan are great OBs.
I had Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Peter Ferguson was my surgeon. I had a wonderful experience with competent and caring staff. His assistant Sherry was very helpful and compassionate as was Dr. Ferguson. He received my MRI results and called me on Family Day to assure me everything was okay! He is a very special Doctor and I appreciated everything he did to ensure my comfort and success.
The emergency staff are doing nothing. My mom dad having critical condition and waiting 5 to 6 hours for doctors. Are they understand what emergency means? I am so angry and disappointed that this is happening in Canada.
Hospital is clean , only reason for two starts. I agree with statements made by others regarding the unprofessional staff.. aka nurses/doctors. They are always talking, sometimes even shouting at one another down the hall, while patients, particularly older patients are in their room sleeping or trying to rest. They seem to have no empathy for "patients that aren't theirs" in terms of basic respect I.e they could care less. Most staff on the 10th floor seem very unpleasant and rude. In fact they often speak about patients and their families withing ear shot. I felt so distracted and was appalled at their lack of professionalism. As for doctors, in my experience they have no idea how to properly diagnose, or what type of care is in the best interest of the patient. My family and I had to ask so many investigative questions because nothing was explained properly. It also seemed like we were annoying for trying to figure out what was going on with our loved one.. as if a loved one being in the hospital wasn't hard Enough. Overall disappointing experience . I hope who ever deals with staff evaluations and employment takes a serious look how their staff act behind close doors...
Nice hospital with proper procedures to deal with gul bladder stones unlike any hospital in scarborough
You want a diagnosis go just about anywhere else
Specifically for the Department of Dentistry, special thanks to Dr. Angham Abdelaziz for her treatment plan that has helped me drastically after I have had jaw pain for several years. She has amazing recommendations and is super professional!
One of the best hospitals in Toronto...thank you!
My husband had to have surgery for a malignant tumour on his biceps and was supposed to be in the hospital for 2 or 3 days. Because of a bit of difficulty, he was put into ICU and ended up being in the hospital for a week. They weren't taking any chances! Dr. Wunder and his staff were awesome, as were the staff in ICU and on the Ortho floor. Everyone was very caring and thoughtful. They even made sure that I knew hotels have special rates for medical purposes. Dr. Wunder even made sure that my husband could have his radiation treatments in Kingston (which is much closer for us), rather than driving to Toronto 5 times a week for 6 weeks. As far as it being a training hospital, how are we supposed to train doctors and nurses if not in a hospital! Thank you to everyone at Mt Sinai who had anything to do with the care of my husband.
I got charged for being there but Odsp is supposed to cover it
i recently visit here with my sister really it was bad experience no cleaning no cooperative staff highly disappointed.
Wonderful hospital. Very clean and organized. Admin workers at triage were terrible at their jobs but the nurses were incredible.
AMAZING!!! Lovely nurses, clean waiting room, and amazing help! The nurse whose name was "Jill" helped me the most! Jill needs a raise!
Respect, Trust and Care are three important components in any relationship, particularly between doctors and patients which unfortunately at times felt missing. Definitely, approach of practionair require an overhaul in this hospital. Patients need to see more honesty , professionalism and care.
Perhaps the worst hospital I've had the displeasure of being at.
Dear Mt. Sinai. Thank you and thank you for having this world No1 class hospital and staff for lucky me and some other patients I spoke with in the ER while waiting. Why we'd waiting patiently and confidently in your hospital because we know we'd have good medical care. Your ER service is extraordinarily good: every one from the doctor to the staff including the service ones. Recently I admitted to the ophthalmology: the three secretory ladies are all professional and patient and so kind. Dr. Low and Dr. Koushan are excellent doctors and very warm. Thanks for rescuing my precious eyes. Dr. hailun tang
The staff here are bad at their jobs. They don't help if you ask them and they don't do their jobs when they are supposed to or at all, leaving it to the next set of people. Because they don't do things on time, you end up staying longer at the hospital.
good service, the doctor are great
Lots of funding yet unequal care.
I had a surgery in Medical Imaging department today:) It was an incredible experience!!! I didnt feel any pain, any stress, any anxiety... noting but calmness The nurses in this department are from the heaven, all I can say is ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Doctors were amazing and they know what they’re doing, but nurses are out of this world. So caring, and patient. Thank you
Dealing with Mount Sinai, specifically the Finance Department has been very nightmarish. I only rated them one star because there was nothing less. It has been so bad dealing with them that I might have to get my lawyer involved. Firstly, the account I'm trying to close with them was since two going on to three years ago (its impossible to get someone in this Dept)... Secondly, they charged me for a surgery that NEVER happened. Thirdly, upon explaining to them that it was an error, they still persisted in sending bills with the incorrect amount). Fourthly, it's going for a year since I paid in full the total amount to do a doppler and blood test and I'm still being called about an outstanding amount. I explained to one of their collections agency that I paid...I even sent the receipts to prove. They assured me that it has been cleared. Another collections agency (Canada Credit Bureau) keep calling me, harassing me and being very rude and disrespectful even though I've explained to him it was paid in full! He actually hung up the phone on me after yelling in my ears. This, to me is customer harassment which I refuse to tolerate! Mount Sinai's accounting system seems to be very pre-historic seeing they are unable to settle this simple issue which has brought so much frustration to me and my family. Mount Sinai would be a no option if it was the last option. Very disappointing!!!
Amazing health care staff and facilities.
Best hosiptal ????
I'm with my family member for general check up the witing room is cool and clean
The greatest hospital I ve ever been to. I am so glad that my baby girl was born there ❤️
Best
Recently spent time in the ER. It wasn't terrible, but also wasn't great. The washrooms for patients are filthy, and the general environment is not very clean. There seem to be dozens of security officers walking around but nobody is hired to clean the place? Where is the commitment to hygiene that is so important in an ER? What is it with how dirty so many ER's are in Canada? It's a public health hazard. Wait times were what I would expect--five hours from being registered to leaving. The doctors seemed overwhelmed, so clearly the system is overstretched. But that's true throughout the province.
I suddenly broke out into painful, itchy hives (not allergy related). After being mistreated at a dermatology clinic (avantderm), I had no choice but to rush to ER after my symptoms worsened. Though I had to wait forever, I cannot begin to convey my gratitude to the doctor who saw me. She was attentive and though busy, she spent time with me. She allowed me to explain my symptoms and was very thorough in explaining her diagnosis. She prescribed me steroids. Almost a month of suffering ended after just the first day/dose of steroids. Thank you so much for ending my pain and misery. I am truly grateful!
excellent hospital. Definitely one of the best experience I’ve had in an extremely horrible and scary situation. Although the wait time at first was abit long the staff from the emergency doctors and nurses to the acute care Doctor MK and nurses on the 11floor south ( arlene d, and night nurses) were incredibly compassionate, understanding and helpful. they went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that you were OK and your health as a human being was taken care of. I’ve been to other hospitals like North York General Hospital where the staff and doctors there didn’t care whether your health was in trouble or at risk. Thank you mount sinai for treating a person like a human being who deserves a chance to get better.
We are here at Mount Sinai for my mom’s right shoulder surgery from Sunday and its now Friday. They keep putting her on NPO meaning no food or drinks and then they dont m take her for surgery. This is taking a toll on her. The next step of her taking Oncology treatment is dependent on her first going through this surgery. It is very frustrating that she has to face all of this. She is getting weaker by the day, this is a very wrong procedure that the hopital is following.
26 hour labour that ended with a C-section. Lots of great staff. Surgeons chatted and played music during the surgery, made it feel a lot more relaxed. Only major draw backs are the the food court hours are a joke during weekends (COVID, so leaving to get food was annoying) and the chairs in the rooms are comfy but so incredibly loud. Every time I got the baby to sleep sitting back on the chair would wake him up! Oh well.
The doctors are great. The staff at emergency is just horrific. Dismissive and pompous are not the words one should use to describe an emergency heakth experience, yet it fits. I hope some training or improved recruitment are done very soon.
The care they gave my grandmother over the years as well as my father through time and currently, hard and smart working teams leaving no stone unturned in an effort to get him well again.
Last March I experienced a health issue that left me in 24 hours of pain for weeks. I visited two other hospitals and the doctors did not know what it was nor did they take the time to try and find out. Several prescriptions later (none of which made any sense) and weeks of agony, I just had to go back and was stupidly going to head back to Toronto Western where the doctor's know nothing and do not care. I got in an uber to head over and my uber driver saw the destination and the pain I was in and asked if he could instead take me to Mount Sinai. He specifically told me that I would be taken care of there and to trust him, so I did. I went to Mount Sinai and everyone from the nurse to the specialists who saw me were educated, caring, and showed a level of expertise that you expect from a health care practitioner. The ER doctor I wish I knew his name, I would love to write to him directly. He cared so much! He went and got someone from the gyno department to come and look at me. He called in whoever he needed to. I ended up having to be completely sedated that day and have a mini procedure done and the staff kept me in the loop regarding what was going on the whole time. The female doctor in the gyno department who performed the surgery explained everything to my fiance as she did it. If ever anyone needs medical attention, THIS IS THE HOSPITAL to go to. I rather die en route to this hospital then go anywhere else, specifically Toronto Western. Thank you Mount Sinai. I wish I could recall the names of every nurse and doctor who helped me because they deserve recognition.
Overall I had a really good experience with Mount Sinai Hospital and the staff.
Went there on an emergency. Majority of people were extremely caring. The was this lady paramedic and a nurse that I had were comforting me the whole time. I didn't get the paremedic's name but the nurse was Kim, middle aged women. Thank you so much.
Best hospital I've been too, best bedside manner, so kind and considerate, they double check, triple checked everything, presented everybody that was in the operating room, and made sure everybody was clear on what they where doing and explained to me till their was no doubt in my mind and left no questions unanswered. I've seen a few to many hospitals and I was blown away by the level of care and attention to their patients. I would gladly return for any medical need. ????
Brought my concerns to their patient relations team regarding to unprofessional practices of Dr. Balter but they just said “thank you for bringing up the concern”. Then I’ve never heard back from them. Too busy to correct their own mistakes...
I did an open biopsy test today at 3:15 with dr jeremy freeman and dr shayanne lajus and elina they was the best team i have ever seen in my life . Very understanding and answer questions in very nice and polite way and respectful. Thanks a lot to these 3 doctors
One nurse was dismissive and rude, all the rest - fine. Overall decent service, nice people.
Thank you guys for helping my brother in law last week
Love these guys. I have a serious autoimmune disorder, they saved my life. I don’t mind the long drive downtown because I feel so relaxed and grateful after every visit. Top notch treatment, terrific bedside manners, and I wish I had come here first.
So far my worst experience with time waiting for imaging. There is definitely scheduling problem.
Dental Department, I needed to take my medically fragile Father for dental extraction a week ago. The department is extremely busy, he had excellent care from the time we had our first contact with recepiton all the way through to providing the time needed post extraction so he felt stable to leave. The little things like putting Vaseline on his lips makes all the difference, along with full review of medications and complications was amazing. Thank you your team is excellent.
WARNING! WARNING! DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL! They don’t answer the phone in any department nor do they return messages. They are not compassionate nor follow their own patient advocacy code. They just care about money and not about you. The nurses act spitefully and with utter malice. Please choose another hospital if you care about receiving proper medical attention. Disgusting vile personnel will leave you wondering why they work at a hospital in the first place.
The ICU nurses lack empathy. If you don't like what you do, please quit.
Amazing Hospital, the nurses are the best and all the Drs seem tonreally care. Spending 8 weeks in the special pregnancy unit and never felt like a burden!
Awesome hospital, but that was years ago. I'm sure it hasn't gone downhill or anything like that. It's Mt. Sinai after all
Im changing from 1 star to 3 only bcus of Dr S Hobson and the receptionist and lavour floor 15. Dont come here if your babys high risk. Been here over 8 hrs for a consult set up by another hospital. Worse wait times in toronto. Eventually someone called in Dr Hobson from home and he did his thing, supet nive and explained everything even took our anger away. Mt Sinai has hin to thank for the better review score or else this would still be 1 star. Didnt leave until 13 hrs after being checked in!!!
There was 1 good nurse... everyone else was so rude. I'm recovering from surgery and need pain medicine. The pain medicine they were giving was to strong and it was making me sick, I asked for stomach medicine and the nurse refused to give it to me. When I told her I didn't want the pain medicine she threatened to call security on me... WHAT A JOKE! Try listening to your patients and don't force them to take medicine if it makes them sick. Dispicable
Mind blown at the attitude of the person at admission. Not helpful, no patience, no compassion at all. It was a very disappointing experience.
ER doctors and nurses were very nice and great with patient. But they have THE WORST FINANCIAL SYSTEM EVER. I paid for my friend's accident with my credit card and the guy who was sitting at the financial office in front told me that I'll only pay for the visit not the rest and he'll make sure that all the bills will sent to my friend. But the hospital charged me two times with my credit card about my friend's ambulance after 2 weeks of her visit and emergency doctors fee after 2 MONTHS it happened. They have two different payment systems - one for the hospital and the other one for emergency doctors which I never saw at the other hospitals - and reminded us 2 MONTHS later that we have a bill to pay. My friend went back to her own country and no longer stay in Canada but they still charged me even though I told them SEVERAL TIMES that they need to charge her fast if she needs to pay any bills before her leaving and they didn't and charged me instead. VERY UNCOMFORTABLE FINANCIAL SYSTEM AND THE PERSON AT THE FINANCIAL FRONT OFFICE OF ER WAS VERY RUDE AND DIDN'T DO HIS JOB VERY WELL - DIDN'T DELIVER ANY OF THE NOTES THAT HE NEEDED TO THE OTHER DEPARTMENT. NEVER WILL GO TO THAT ER AGAIN EVER.
Pre-natal care was fantastic. The wait times at appointments during pre-natal checkups were minimal, but I think that that is limited to our specific doc (Dr. B) because I think that he's grandfathered his own nurse and secretary and they are very efficient and experienced and they keep his clinic running like clockwork. I would give them 5 stars for sure. Delivery and post partum on the other hand are definitely not 5 star. Delivery is hit and miss (we had 2 OBs each delivery) and a PGY2 delivered each of our two babies, and frankly we really liked both of them. The staff OB who technically is the doc on record for my second kid's birth was very dismissive I the setting of some fetal distress. Ruined the whole experience. Postpartum is mostly horrible with some scattered nursing bright spots peppered throughout a mostly unpleasant experience.
Best doctors this hospital should be happy and proud to have doctors like jeremy freeman and shayanne lajoud and elina they helped me alot and make everything and every step of my procedure easy by making me happy and keeping me relax . Thanks best team honestly speaking they are top doctors . Any time u have biopsy test look for mr freeman and shayanne lajoud
The fracture clinic on the 5th floor MUST be looked into. Extremely unprofessional service. Waiting time exceeds 4 hours WITH AN APPOINTMENT.
An amazing hospital! I did my hip replacement on July, 9th , 2018. Everything is organized very well, the staff is helpful, friendly and professional. Thank you!
Worst experience ever! I witness then place a lady with mental health issues in a dirty hallway and allowed security to beat her up! Shame on them.
Currently came here triage was rude was the hospital the were super stressed out some yinger staff plus s police issues Aman in hand cups eventually got good help from one nice nurse the usual long waits ettc nurse never actually let see the doctor just came back with his advice etc kinda blew me off bad lower back injury very painful not super serious enough that trateinh at home wasn't working etc kinda made feel bad fir coming there even though I should have right to be there and I'm reasonable more serious situation should come first but shouldn't discount me trying to get help either but at least we have health care in Canada no system perfect I'm super grateful we have it in Canada thank you
