I was literally puking up blood, after a 2 hour wait all I got was apple juice and a covid test. The fact that my doctor got through medical school blows my mind.

Honestly I'd rather die than set foot in this sad excuse for a hospital. I've seen better care given at a medical tent. They don't even have half the equipment a hospital should and don't even think you'll be dealt with if you have an issue after 10pm. Honestly, you're better off with a first aid kit and a drive out of town.

Really slow for the 4 people in the waiting room. I Waited about ten minutes to get checked in then waited 2 hours and finally checked out before even getting the xray i had to come back for because theres nobody there that can even do an xray after 8pm. Went to a different hospital at 11pm and was out with an xray after about an hour. Will not come back to this hospital loll

The staff, nurses, and doctors that I saw for severe abdominal pain were kind and professional. They performed through tests and listened to my health history to assist in finding an appropriate plan of action.

Amazing facility that can do wonderful life saving procedures for such a small place! Usually staffed with 2 nurses and a doctor (works 24 hrs) so if you are not a true emergency you may have to wait while those that are true emergencies are cared for.

Nurses are standing around the reception like they're waiting for drinks at a bar. My girlfriend was put into a room and wasn't even checked on for over two hours to see if she was alive.

Thank you so much Dr. Dennis Fiddler! Because you cared enough to take a good, thorough look at the intense allergic reaction on my eyes, you prescribed me medication that has helped me immensely. I wish you had been the Dr. I saw first, when I was there 5 days earlier. I may not have looked like it but I am a local resident, a local artist/business owner and a Director on the Executive Committee for the Minden Healthcare Auxiliary. You saw a women with pink hair, tattoos with sweatpants on and puffy horrible eyes. You treated me with respect and not like I was a burden, you didn't look down at me or treat me as an inferior because of the way I was dressed or looked. You listened to my concerns and answered my questions. You assured me that things would be ok. As long as I know we have good Doctors and nurses in this Hospital, I will continue to volunteer my time to HHHS to raise you all the money needed so you can continue to help more people like you helped me. I had an amazing experience here. I was cottaging with my family from way out of town and was struggling with a throat infection that my local clinic was not helpful or concerned about. After coming to the cottage and it got worse, I decided to visit the ER, expecting massive wait times. When I got to triage in the morning there was no one there, I was checked in quickly and thoroughly and given a comfortable room to wait for a doctor. Dr. De Francesco (spelling?) was patient, thorough, took my condition seriously, all while being lighthearted and making my experience more comfortable. She tested my blood and gave me IV antibiotics (also the nurses who helped me out with this were incredibly friendly and kind), she gave me something to manage my pain, and she called the Peterborough hospital to have an Ear Nose and Throat specialist take a look at me. I am so grateful to the way the whole staff at this hospital treated and took care of me. Thank you

Pathetic excuse for a “hospital”. Save yourself the time and go to a REAL hospital! My son went in with severe abdominal pain and has a very high pain tolerance. He’s undergone several surgeries and broken bones, this is the most pain I’ve ever seen him in. The doctor sent him home and told him if it didn’t get better in 48hrs, to come back!!! No blood work, no ultrasound, NOTHING!!!

Friendly, helpful staff took care of my leg wound. They stitched up the gash and a week later removed the stitches.

This place is a joke so far - whatever the opposite of efficient is, that's this place. Waiting 3 hours and counting they are calling one person in every 40 minutes or so.

Great Hospital, great staff friendly and Doctor's are great as well. Have been coming here for years. Also got top notch treatment for every family member who has ever become ill. They have that small town people feeling and they truly care. Thank you for always taking great care of myself and my family members.

Arrived with a mangled knee requiring many stitches - and on a Saturday in June (expecting the worst in terms of crowds). I was 'next' and Triage sat me down briefly after the obligatory covid questions. DIdn't wait long for a Doctor who did stitches like embroidery - a superlative job + glue and an entertaining conversation. The nursing staff were really nice and in great moods, clearly enjoying their jobs. I may never go near a Toronto hospital again! Highly recommended!

Shattered my left leg and was off work for 8 months. Went in to see what I could do about a high blood pressure issue I’d developed. I had gained 40 pounds including the weight of the cast and the doctor informed me that “ there is no magic pill for you. Lose weight.” All I can say is I’m bloody glad I didn’t go there when the accident happened. I’m fairly sure that he’d have told me it was all in my head and to walk it off. Now I laugh when they send me fundraising junk mail. I won’t donate to Ross either because they share doctors and if that’s what represents them, no thanks. I’ll donate to Royal Victoria and recommend it over this place any day of the week.

This was the hospital that found my tumor, I had it surgically removed before the cancer spread elsewhere in my body. I'm very thankful for this hospital's existence.

Excellent staff and doctors here. Just don't let them send you to Lindsay if they can't handle a situation. Go directly to Toronto.

After over 5 hours waiting, we were told we would have to be triaged again and go to the end of the line if we went go get a snack. Took us 45 minutes drive to get there and since we can't get to our regular Dr 3.5 hours away, it's our closest option. I have kidney disease and on meds that state to go to ER if any symptoms arise from the list. I have several on that list. This is NOT patient care. Two small, hungry kids with me did well as until hour 5. Disconnected staff that didn't seem to care much. 6 of the 7 people in ER waiting gave up and left. One man headed directly to Lindsay after 4 hours as he had been sitting there the entire time with something lodged in his hand. Again, this is NOT patient care and you absolutely have to do better. Headed to Linsday in the AM hoping to see an actual medical professional.
