Worst hospital ever!! Stay far away from this one!! Dirty...oh so dirty! Their staff were not humane in any way! The staff snapped at an eldely couple right in front of me. So much for social distancing this hospital is a recipe for covid19....no social distancing goin on here at all!! Your right next to about 50 people so watch out!! Their triage is right in the middle of the waiting room for everyone to hear your problem...thats sick!!!!

Having had one family member battle lymphoma and another receive a hip replacement this year, I am truly grateful that we live in Canada, and we have the folks at Owen Sound to look after us. These guys are world class. Really!

8.5 hours in ER for a PREGNANT WOMAN! with abdominal cramps and dizziness is ridiculous started with only 7 people after 8.5 hours it was standing room only in the waiting area

Great nursing staff helped me in my journey to recovery. They've also helped my mum deliver my brother. And without them where would we be. Thank you to my doctors as well, for helping me uncover the mysteries to why I'm like this. I feel much better after my stay with them. Oh and to the one security guard who talked to me like a human being it felt good to have somebody to talk to even when the hospital couldn't help me. Oh and one more thing to the nurse who told me their story about quitting cigarettes guess what I did it too. I quit smoking. Thank you to all who've inspired me.

I am thoroughly impressed with the care and support of the staff. My 8 year old went into emerge with a sore tummy. They were quick to get him blood work and an ultra sound and finally into surgery for his appendix. Everyone from Emerge, to Lab, to imaging to surgery to PACU were amazing. The nurses, surgeon, and all the other staff who were in contact with my child were in tune to his comfort and care. The surgeon even contacted me with a surgeon in London for his post op, saving us the drive back to Owen Sound! After being there for a total of 9 hours my parking was only $5!!! It was a relief after spending all day there. At home parking would have been over $20. I highly recommend this hospital!

I am trying to get in contact with the psychiatric department. Have been transferred every where. No body is helping. THE DOCTOR WAS SUPPOSE TO CONTACT MYSELF AND MY MOM NO INFORMATION, NO PHONE CALL The secretary inpatient department in the psych ward was so rude and hung up on me. We need answers. We need help.

The most amazing place with amazing staff!! Maryanne on 5 in Oncology is the most amazing nurse you could ever have. She made us every week feel incredibly comfortable and it's people like her that make hard time less hard. This hospital saved my mom's life and I am forever grateful, I am forever thankful. The whole team, from the labs right to the doctor's and nurses are such a wonderful team!! The cancer care team is the best, thank you for all your hard work. Not only do they care for the patient, but they care for the family too.

The BEST hospital I've ever had to experience. Service in the emergency waiting room was fast and professional. The hospital was immaculately well kept and clean. And the proffessionalism from the doctors, nurses, porters, cleaners was beyond top notch. I took my 2month old daughter into the Emerg she was pale and was having breathing issues on Christmas eve. Everyone in emerg and from the pediatrics floor were all so amazing. They saved my little girl!!! I have had other experiences with the hospital and I understand the long waits and why it takes so long. You never know what's going on back there but when there is a emergency like my daughter they had everyone in there to save her and make her stabble enough to transport her to London. Great job everyone!!!! And thank you so much for helping my little girl.

Gave birth to my son there, almost 4 years ago. The L&D nurse was rude when I first showed up (after already seeing the Dr). I never did see the breastfeeding nurse, had no support in that aspect from any of the other nurses either.

The visit I remember most vividly was that which developed after an untimely meeting with a tree on a toboggan. I got a cool ambulance ride and inadvertently wasted the time of some paramedics, however, I appreciated the light hearted spirit of the adventure when one of them started making fun of me for wearing sneakers during the winter. They did X-rays, the whole nine yards, and sent me home with some aspirin and a smile. I have nothing but fond memories and good feelings towards this place. That was until Coronavirus made its big debut. It seems now that all doctors and nurses are for is capping about cases and keeping the world in the dark about what truly goes on behind closed doors, attempting to turn society into zombies who take the needles and vaccines they’re told to, when they’re told to. My review would reflect a more positive outlook if these healthcare workers would tell the truth about Coronavirus. There are no cases in this hospital so stop capping and grow up. Thank you.

I'd give it 10 stars if I could. I went to emerg with a terrifying asthma attack and I can't say enough about the entire staff. The nurses were kind and professional, the doctors took the time to look deeper at the problem and treated the issue effectively. Everything happened quickly and efficiently, even the food wasn't too bad. I can't say enough about the staff here and I struggle to see how my time there could have been better. Don't believe the right-wing propaganda, our health care system has it's faults but overall it's amazing and of course, when I was released, I walked out without so much as service charge.

The Owen Sound while may be not the fastest, it is clean, the staff are doing the best they can with what they are provided, and you are attended to as you need to be. I don't think they would let anyone die in the waiting room. If you compare it to lets say the Wiarton Hospital however, you would see a noticeable difference, in wait time, but modernism is not their flare. I guess when you decide why you have to use the ER, or the Hospital you can decide which fits your needs. It may not be your choice after all. But if you have on Wiarton.

We were not here long enough to make a fair judgment. Our nurse Lisa was amazing. She was friendly and very personable. Which is very important when your terrified for a love one that has endured life changing medical problems. The world needs more compassion, kindness, understanding and empathy. We were grateful she was our nurse. Others nurses were nice as well. I would also like to thank the 2 ladies in emergency reception, ( i am so sorry to do not know your names February 24-26 2019.) although we did use this department, I had the pleasure of meeting them and I am very grateful for the kindness you both showed towards me. I am sorry I am unable to thank you both in peron but your kindness will always be remembered. Bless you and your loved ones T.F.

This hospital is absolutely disgusting and filthy went into er got back to see the doctor and there was dried blood on the side of the sheet absolutely disgusting it's a hospital and they don't even know how to keep it clean some one could get extremely sick or die from how disgusting this hospital is

6 hours in the waiting room while on bed rest no one checking on anyone in the waiting area over hours. Once in the back great nurses and dr's in and out in about an hour including tests 2 weeks ago was in for original diagnosis excellent all around from wait times to care from nurses, dr's, specialist and x-ray techs

My husband and I visited by brother on the 4th floor yesterday July 25th, 2015. We had contacted the nurses station prior on the 24th. We would just like to compliment the hospital staff on their caring, concern and personable relating. Needless to say we have visited, been in contact with, or personally were patients at other hospitals through the years, and this rated high on the scale of excellence. Even after our call of concern on the 24th, we had a reply immediately, once the nurse had checked on him. The entire 4th floor was spotless and that too says something about the administration. Bravo. Thank you for taking care of patients and making it easier for families. My brother, (because of some drugs he was taking) actually thought he was at a hotel/resort for the first 3 days. He was looking for the towels and the beach. :) Thank you again.

Great people work here I'm from Sarnia and had an accident in this area I'm waiting for surgery and the nurses in this department are hard working and friendly I didn't have my phone charger when sent to the hospital and kristen one of the nurses brought me her husband's to charge my phone and went above and beyond the call of duty to help me out and will never forget it

Owen sound is a small town in Ontario near the banks of Lake Huron . The hospital is centrally situated to help the public to reach it conveniently and in an emergency. It has a emergency department which is 24hours. There are several departments besides the emergency department to help the patients. They have besides the emergency department , critical care services , electro-diagnostic services , medical imaging department , occupational and physiotherapy , retail pharmacy , surgical services etc.

The hospital was amazing for both knee replacements this spring but I went to the covid test center on June 16 for a test . was told 24 - 48 hours. Saturday I checked online for my results" results not available on this site" ON THE COVID TEST RESULT SITE! REALLY. NOW WHAT?!

Needed an emergency barium swallow that was booked through the doctor. I called two days later to see when the appointment was and was told it was still being coded. She might have back in two days for an appointment next week. I thought an emergency meant asap, not a couple of weeks down the road.

I recently had a sleep test at the sleep lab at Grey Bruce Health services in Owen Sound and was really impressed with Mitch Kirk the respiratory tech. He was amazing. Extremely professional, kind, funny and explained every procedure and process accurately and in words I could understand. He made the whole process easy and without stress.

I spent the day in the day-surgery unit and came away super impressed. From the woman at the registration desk, to the volunteers who greeted me to the doctor and nurses who worked with me, every single one was friendly, efficient, professional, and caring. And when complications set in, the nurses kept me informed as to what they planned to do next, how long it might take and what follow-up actions may be needed.What a great team!

With the exception of one triage nurse, everyone is friendly. I don't know why this lady is a nurse.. she's the first person you see at triage and she's miserable and grouchy. Never have seen a smile. Ever.

This hospital is terrible I have shown up for appointments and then not even seen by a doctor at all and sent home with a sorry I have been called at home to cancel my appointments 30 minutes before my appointment even though I live an hour away I have been told I would be seen by a specialist and I haven't heard anything in 4 months but they have me on medication anyway. The doctor dosnt even book I his own appointments and his Receptionist doesn't answer and their voicemail Box is full always.

I was brought to Owen Sound hospital for surgery on my leg after breaking it while hiking. I was treated like royalty the entire time I was here. I can’t say enough good things about this hospital. The staff were fantastic and my surgery was completed without a problem on the same day as I arrived.

Hopefully you never need to reach the mental health services line. I’ve called for 2 weeks straight and get transferred up to their voicemail, only to not be able to leave a voicemail. Switch board is extremely unhelpful saying “it’s a busy line”. I absolutely love my psychiatrist, if I can actually get through and book an appointment. 0/5 however since you’ll start withdrawal symptoms before ever speaking to anyone.

Worst hosptial I have ever been to. Performed negligent and objectively wrong actions on my son. Patient Advocacy at this hospital is an absolute joke and is not here for the patient. I revoked consent for treatment because Dr.Nwebube us utterly incompetant at her job. I took my son to sick kids, and they told me that his weight and throat were OK. He needed medical guidance, not emergency treatment. They wanted my 5 month son to do a barium swallow because they quote "didn't know where his milk was going". Well, he has clear lungs, and he's peeing and pooping appropriately. The abysmal healthcare in bruce county is why I'm leaving the area and never coming back. If you are reading this and can afford it, I would suggest you leave too.

A shout out to Jill in Occupational Therapy! Because of Covid, Dr. Gladwell could not perform surgery so referred me and my broken hand to the most patient, amazing, competent OT in the world! Through 3 months of masked visits, exercises, strength measurements and persistence, my broken metacarpal started to mend! I am now pain free and back to gardening! Thanks Jill and hope you share some chocolates with Dr. Gladwell!❤️
