Dr kan Frion is a blessing. 5 stars for him .He is very polite and friendly. Thanks doctor .Again i will say waiting time is a big problem in this hospital

When your baby is sick , don’t bring to this hospital! Oh wait .. this is the one and only children hospital in Ottawa and there is only one doctor at night ! We have to wait till morning to get the doctor! This is terrible. There was only 4 patients before us but nurse told us to wait till morning . Poor management . They should be replaced ASAP!

Ontario healthcare is free? How much do you think it cost me to waste my whole day sitting 8 hours for someone to see my sick child. When did this insanity became the norm. They get 2 stars for friendliness and attitude though.

Really strange how it is possible in a developed country like Canada that we have to wait 10 hours in emergency with a sick distressed child or baby crying in hunger or pain or lack of sleep. After paying half of our salary for tax still we don't receive minimum value as human being. I don't know why government is not doing anything about it! The employees are checking one pt and then going for break for half an hour. Had to stand in the entrace even for 40 minutes without having anyone in front of us. They say that kids who are not seriously sick shouldnt come here as its not emergency. But then we can't find any family physician for 4 years after trying thousand times in thousand places! Where should we go with the kids? Really frustrating! I think they are taking advantage of helpless people and having fun playing with us. Its like they will make you wait 7 hours even if they can do it within one hour! Wish could give no star at all.

This is an emergency room. Please ignore any reviews that complain about how long they waited - simply proving they were NOT AN EMERGENCY. I have received nothing but excellent care from CHEO. Prioritized when we showed up in an ambulance (obviously), and yep others times we waited for urgent care - how long? Luck of the draw based on what other sick ppl show up. Worst first. If you are not traveling by ambulance- bring snacks, books, they have wifi, bring your plugs, comfy clothes, a blanket - you might have to wait. You will be seen. And they are amazing.

Worst place to bring the kids. Don't bring your kids here unless you want to kill them. Had to wait whole night sitting on a chair without any place to lie down or sleep even for the sick kid. Normal people will become mentally sick after coming here. Beware!
