For a small town hospital this place is very slow. Doctors are usually never in.

The staff (Nurse Hope) was friendly, professional , efficient and knowledgeable. Doctor Al-Dhaher saw me quickly, was professional, knew his stuff and was kind and sensitive in dealing with me as a patient. Thankful for being a Canadian and for the Petrolia’s wing of Bluewater Health.

I took a 90 year old patient in last week with ear issues (pain and not being able to hear) and the on call doctor said it was ear wax and to use mineral oil to dissolve it. We could not get into the family doctor for a month and the week before Sarnia hospital said it was infected and gave antibiotics. Problem still not resolved and she was still in pain and not able to hear. Today it was looked at by a friend who is a retired nurse and she was immediately able to remove the foreign body in her ear. Disappointed in the outcome of this whole ordeal.

I received excellent emergency care from Dr. Justin Mall and the team of RNs working when I needed 3 stitches and a tetanus booster after cutting my index finger. I get nervous about needles and everyone involved in my treatment was patient, friendly, and professional. Service was prompt, too, for a Friday night, and I only spent about two hours including waiting, triage, and treatment. It was worth the drive from Sarnia for the likelihood of shorter wait times alone. 5/5 would cut my finger working on my car and have it fixed at this hospital in Petrolia again (not really though, hopefully).

Went to emerg with a a foot injury. Staff went above and beyond to ensure that when I left I had an appt with a specialist booked and everything to keep me comfortable until then

Me, my wife and 2 kids were sick, 1 kid broke out in hives, went in around midnight and we were told it wasn't serious enough to call the doctor in for us, and we were the only people there. Said we would have to wait till 8am to get looked at. If they can't take a child's health serious then what are you good for??

Took my son in in the afternoon for a throat blockage and swelling, doc didn't even touch his throat took a .5 second look inside his throat and told us he had anxiety.... Later that night had to take him to Sarnia because it was getting worse .... Turns out it WASN'T anxiety Nurses were good but that doc need to give his head a shake I don't think he should be practicing medicine at any level
