Here you have all the information of real people who use the services and products of HealthSense Medical (Hospital) near to the area of Oakville (Canada).
Now the firm gets a score of 3.6 stars over 5 and this score has been based on 73 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is very high, and it's founded on a high number of feddbacks, so we can say that the rating is quite reliable. If there are many people who bothered to give their review when they've done well, it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to set feddbacks when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Hospital is classified in the category of Medical Center.
Considering the lack of medical care when and where you want one, especially if one has to resort to getting in line at your local walk in clinic because your own family doctor is so very hard to reach. I would say that your Walk in Clinic needs to be address more fully for Quality, empathy and attitude. One particular Doctor over there is Dr. Rabia Atif. I am not sure what her problem is. I was there on Monday evening with a foot issue. She took one look at it and send me packing and ask me to take am Xray. Then I told her about a ruptured cyst on my back and she told me that I have to make another appointment. Though I did mention to the reception that I had two issues. I had surgery done on Tuesday morning and needed to have my dressing changed and went back to Homesense because my family doctor was not available. Dr. Khan was nice and he changed my dressing and Kudos to Dr Khan. I went back in on Wednesday and Dr Atif was there. First, she did not have a clue why I was there for, second, she claims she did not have any surgical pads to clean the dressing wound with but instead gave me an elastoplus tape over it. Healthsence is not the only walk in clinic I have problems with. It has become apparent that the doctors at the walk ins want the easiest fix with the shortest time spent on each patient but max out on the premiums they could bill at OHIP. Yes, for sure we are paying our tax dollars to medicare for the wrong reasons. I am sticking to my family doctor no matter what. Otherwise I will rather visit Emergency even though there is a waiting time of three hours. That is better than being told that they cannot do what they have been trained and licensed to do...That really sucks
Being a patient here for the last 7 years and never had any issues. Switched 3 family doctors and all of them were great. I believe recently reception stuff was changed and this is where the problems begin. First they didn't inform me about my first appt with OB and i had no idea it was scheduled. To get good OB is not that easy and missing the first appt would make me wait for another 2 months or look for another OB. Second they booked me for in person appt and when I came I found out it has to be call appt. Then they 'booked' me for my vaccination. I waited for 3 weeks and when I came found out that I do not have it booked. How? Lastly for some reason my daughter had booking to get an unknown blood work requisition which already sounds weird and we never requested it. Loosing confidence with them. Not sure what is going on with the reception but management should maybe teach them better or find someone more attentive to details.
A lot of times I've been seen within 10-15 minutes of arriving. The actual time with the doctor is pretty quick, but I think that's what you want in a walk-in clinic. You want a quick turnaround, because that also means that you don't have to spend a lot of time waiting when someone else is being seen. If I want face time, I'll book an appointment with my family doctor. Call ahead to find out if it's busy. They can't guarantee wait times, but they will can least let you know if there are a lot of people already in the queue.
I NEVER have a good experience when I go here!!! Staff at front desk are sometimes rude. It’s very hit or miss if you are going to get treated with respect . Even if I make an appointment I almost every time have to wait about 2 hrs for my appointment. My family doctor left, thank goodness because she was brutal. I called to say I have an emergency and I need to see my family doctor ASAP and the receptionist responded with “we don’t have anything until next Thursday, what’s your emergency.” All you need to know is I need to see my doctor ASAP!!! They are useless there!!!
Have been with Dr. Khan for over 15 years.. he has been a true family doctor for the the whole family. He even provided advice and feedback when we were overseas and gave us questions to ask the local doctors to help with the correct diagnosis.
Dr. Khan is the best, Puts patient first. He did his best to support my mother getting the right support from occupational therapy when she fell in the bath tub ... he went several extra miles to ensure they come and help us . Big thank you Dr Khan for always being their for us
I switched to a doctor here temporarily while I look for a doctor who's office is not in a walk in clinic and is closer to me. The wait here is incredibly painful. Every time I would make an appointment, I would end up waiting a good hour after my scheduled time. It's a waste of time to even schedule an appointment. Today I went with my mom to get her a referral and they told her there was only one person ahead of her. She ended up waiting an hour as more than 10 people were helped before her and all she needed was a printed paper with a signature! The only good thing about this place is that it is close to home and my doctor, Dr. Bahmutan is the best out of all the doctors there.
The best medical center that I have been to. Professional resectionists with outstanding customer service , Dr. Jaffri is but far the best GP that I had ever had and the whole team is very friendly, kind and caring. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there for me. ????????????
Dr. Jafri and Dr. Khan are our main points of contact and we like them. Professional, skilled, experienced, they are taking into consideration all our medical history, very attentive to detail, kind and supportive.
Although the clinic has good doctors, yet the management has no clue on how to deal with clients. Very rude and unresponsive and non professional. Not recommend.
Me and my family have been going to Dr khan for over 8 years. He is very kind and caring every time, to me and my children. Dr khan always takes his time and cares for his patience. I have seen many doctors and not one compares to him! I highly recommend Dr. Khan to everyone I no. Thanks Dr khan for caring so much about my family!
This clinic does not respect their patients enough to explain their policies. I had to bring my son in because he had injured his toe. I could not book an appointment, they kept insisting that I come in as a walk-in, but not explain why I could not book an appointment. It took me 5 attempts to finally get an answer from the walk-in doctor who explained it to me in a rude patronizing manner. He began by saying that the policy works for them and they don't have to explain anything to us (patients), if we don't like it we can go somewhere else. I almost fell out of my chair! I'm a scientist and have worked at several hospitals (Toronto Western Hospital and SickKids). I have never come across any professional who would answer a patient's question with that much carelessness and imprudence. The receptionist who books the appointment did not even bother to explain - it was more like "this is it, take it or leave it". I don't like to go in as a walk-in with my children because they get exposed to new stands of viruses/bacteria and they get tired from waiting for so long. If I can avoid the risk of further exposure, I would like to entertain that possibility. I can't make that decision, whether it would be worth it to go as a walk-in or book an appointment on a different day, because I don't know the details (does it become a walk-in clinic on certain days, certain times, for certain reasons, etc.). The explanation was simple: they have one walk-in doctor each day who sees patients when their own doctor is not available. I'm not sure why they were hesitant to explain their reasoning. At other offices, other doctors see their colleague's patients, if their own doctor is not available on a given day. It always works. Also, two of the receptionists/nurses have completely lost their humility and need to realize what their job is at the clinic - really! I have to add that our doctor at this clinic (Dr. Bahmutan) has been wonderful. It's always a pleasure to see her - she's knowledgeable and has excellent bedside manners. It's too bad that she has to be at this clinic!
Went into the walk-in with a sharp pain in my neck. The doctor did a throat swab to test for Strep and prescribed antibiotics. She asked that I come back in 10 days, if it wasn't better. There was no improvement, so I went back. The second doctor spent about 10 seconds listening, then said he wanted to do another Strep test. When I said that wasn't it and I'd already done a strep test, he decided to do one anyway, said it might be a virus. I explained that I didn't have a sore throat, but a sharp pain in my throat/neck - he said he didn't have all afternoon to debate with me and walked out of the room. I went to another walk-in, who actually listened to me describe my symptoms and immediately referred me to an ENT. Terrible experience on this and previous occasions. It feels like this clinic and its doctors are primarily concerned with ensuring that they get you back for another appointment for which they can bill OHIP.
Dr. Atif is my family doctor for Past 5 years and I would not go anywhere else. She is kind, passionate and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend her :)
Dr. Khan is amazing!!! I’ve been going to this clinic and bringing my 2 kids here for 8 years. No long wait times. Dr. Khan is very knowledgeable and thorough. This is the only clinic I trust to get great medical care!!!!
A female walk-in doctor, I am not sure where she has gotten her degree. She checked my little son for a quick 5 seconds and sent him home. I am the one who even asked her to check his throat and measure his temperature. That really sucks. Now we are in the ER. Worst place to go to and never again!
Dr Khan is the best doctor. He is very patient caring and through. I am lucky to have such a great family doctor.
Dr Jarfi provided a very bad medical history on an application I needed. Some of the information is old and not required to be on the comments section of the form, however she refused to remove it. Furthermore, she refused to discuss with me while I was in their office. Their work ethic is surrounded by making telephone appointments in order to charge patients. I wanted to ask her at most a 2 minute question which she said to make an telephone appointment for this. It is ridiculous that patients are handled in the way these Dr do, only to make money through this pandemic situation.
I love this Walk In Clinic for when I am unable to see my family doctor who is usually booked 4-6 weeks in advance. My family doctor was on vacation for six weeks a few years ago (no replacement) and I had THREE issues come up at the same time, all related. Doctors at the clinic were amazing and I even had a specialist appointment booked BEFORE my family doctor returned from vacation! I've never had problems with any of the doctors, nurses or receptionists. Wait times can vary but usually it's very short.
Absolutely the worst clinic I’ve ever been to!! Avoid this place at all costs! I called to make an appointment, get pricing for the treatment I needed and made sure they had what I needed. I was told I had an appointment for 12:30pm the following day and there might be a $10 charge. Great! But when I arrived the next day at 12:30pm I found out no one booked my appointment because I had never been to the clinic before and they only book for previous clients. After trying to explain for 15 minutes what I had come in for (something VERY simple) the doctor saw me and gave me a prescription for a vaccine that would cost me over $100! When I specifically asked why the cost is on The phone and they said $10! Fine.. so I went to the pharmacy to pick it up and they didn’t even have it in stock! HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT!!! And to prove it the manager himself told me “the door is that way, get out!” After wasting over 30 minutes of my time! Wouldn’t even give this place a 1 star. All such rude staff!
This place has become a joke. This has been our family Dr for years and since Dr Bahumutan left it's horrible. They waste your time, make you wait 45 minutes plus for a scheduled appointment. When i get called back in for a follow up Dr Khalid tells me the same thing I was told on the phone. I will be finding new family Dr ASAP.
Dr. Atif is wonderful - very compassionate and relatable, as well as a stellar doctor. Plus, in the 7.5 years I have been her regular patient, I have never had to wait longer than 15 minutes, even when I’ve been late. Usually, the wait is 5-10 minutes, and the courtesy is always present, even when I’ve been at fault. Couldn’t recommend a better dr or dr’s office.
Visited this clinic yesterday. Fast friendly service. Dr. Khan Shahbaz discussed treatment options with me and listened to my views. This clinic is always our first choice when our family doctor is not available.
I actually like this clinic a lot for when my kids are ill. I have never waited more than 5 minutes to be taken in and see a doctor within less than 10 mins. They have been great for my kids. I feel the quality of care is equal to any other clinic, just prefer this because of short wait times with kids. Who wants to sit in an office full of germy people for longer than need be with kids? My own family doctors' walk in wait is always at least 40 minutes. That why I go to Health Sense Medical frequently.
I love this clinic. Dr. Khan and his team were instrument in early detection of my breast cancer journey. I grateful for Dr. Khan getting back to me quickly with results and reports and contacting Credit Valley hospital on my behalf. Now cancer free Amen Blessings
This review is just for one off experience which happened on May 2. My daughter was having severe chills and i entered the clinic at 7:50 pm and the clinic closes at 8:00 pm . Dr. Tariq Khan was the only doctor available at that moment and he refused to take my daughter saying that they have taken enough patients for the day and they cannot take anymore patients. I requested to please have a quick look and i wont take long as she was having severe chills and it would be difficult to go to ER for this issue and as other clinics are closed. They just didn't let her in. I found it too inhumane as It was cold that day and my daughter was shivering with chills and then i rushed to a walk in clinic at Burlington. I am a regular patient at this clinic and family doctor is Dr. Atif, we just love her as she is b friendly and accommodating unfortunately she was not available that day. It was one of the worst experience and i would like the owners of this clinic to take some action against this act .
Dr. Khan is a very caring, knowledgeable and supportive doctor. Went beyond what you would expect and it was so appreciated during my son’s sickness. Thank you!!!
Dr Khan is an excellent doctor. He’s always courteous and engaging, and takes the time to explain things clearly. I’ve never been steered wrong by his treatment and highly recommend him.
Dr. Shahbaz Khan is a wonderful doctor who always treats me fairly, with respect, and listens to my concerns. He is very knowledgeable and I consider myself lucky to be able to go and see him at the clinic when I need to as I work far away from home where my family doctor resides his practice. Thank you.
Been with this clinic for years. Great doctors, polite and helpful staff, hardly have to wait at all even though it is a busy office. Their pharmacist is really knowledgeable and friendly. Top-notch.
