I love my provider and many of the medical staff are extremely knowledgeable, informative, and attentive to the needs of their patients. They do have a decent amount of auxiliary departments within the clinic here, ie. Physical therapy, radiology, pharmacy, etc. There are only a couple things that really keep this from 5 stars. There are now fewer services being provided here from before such as, surgery and emergency care, and the wait times for pharmacy can be horrendous at times. Other than that, it's a clean and a fairly close knit clinic.

This is by far the worst medical facility I have experienced. It has not been over a month since trying to get my wife on the EFM program (type 1 diabetic on an insulin pump with a high risk pregnancy) and after being told it is just waiting on a doctor to sign it ends up now needing to go to a completely different doctor to fill out as well then to be told oh it needs to go back to the other doctor. I was actually told by one of the nurses that our paperwork sat in their office for a week because they did not know what to do with it. Also we need a referral to an off base for my wife's high risk OB appointments. We waited about 3 weeks to get the referral in the mail from Tricare (this is already quite a while without being seen with my wife's medical conditions) the referral is to Everett, so I call the hospital to make an appointment only to be told sorry sir we told the doctor that we cannot treat her here and you need to refer her to another facility, so now we have to wait another 3 weeks for another referral this time to Seattle! That is a 2 hour drive without traffic. I was in Virginia before here, my wife has had these medical conditions with my 2 other children both high risk pregnancies, she was seen immediately at Portsmouth with zero hesitation and no obstacles to jump through. I would have never chose orders here if I would have known about this medical facility. And don't even get me started on the pharmacy that is a whole mess on it's on.

Really frustrating. Doctor don't look at patients medical records, barely can perform a basic physical, and it is really frustrating to get seen for specific types of appointments.

Where my kids get shots. They are always sorry and never can do what they say. I am really annoyed with their service. This is the three time in a short amount of time. They used to be great. What happened?

Optometry scheduled me for a 0700 appointment but didn’t open until 7:30 after I had showed up on time. Wasn’t very happy about that. Family medicine hasn’t answered back my phone messages for a week.

I haven’t ever experienced a staff that’s this unqualified to do their jobs, I went in for a physical once because I hadn’t got one in years and all they did was take my weight, check my eyes (I need glasse and still do and they said nothing to me about that )and take my vitals, they didn’t check my back my shots or anything else. Also I’m pregnant now and I had to get blood work done and more than half of my tests for screenings were missed the first time so I had to do them all this round because their staff isn’t trained properly. If you have medications it takes over an hour to be seen to even fill your subscriptions unless you call hours in advance. I think this is the worst medical facility I have ever been to and I could go on and on and on.

I swear no one ever answers the phone. I have to call 45 people to get the extension I want and when I do finally get the right extension the line is busy for the next 4 hours till they're closed phones are worthless there and I refuse to use the website because it is just as trash. This place sucks.

Imunization clinic visit- Arrived at 0729, I could hear a party horn and cheering in the offices. Roll up window opened at 0740 not 0730 as posted. I did forms and sat in lobby an additional 26 minutes before being called back for a flu shot.

Melanie Shore

We have a particularly good doctor who was very thorough and not rushed.

Terrible medical place if you're type one diabetic like myself. I've been waiting two weeks now to get a referral for supplies I need to, you know live, and when I finally got the referral approved it was to a distributor that doesn't even do the supplies I need. And no this wasn't Tricare messing up, (though im sure if they did a little research they would have known the referral they were approving couldn't actually help me), this was instead their own diabetic nurse who wrote out the referral saying I would get my supplies from them. So now I'm waiting to get that sorted out so I can actually have my life necessary supplies. Never had any of these issues when I was in Jacksonville and through my pcm there. Don't go here if you have a diabetic dependent.

Seems like team cascade never answers the phone I can never get a hold of anyone and I occasionally get a return call. Just tired of all the waiting with the lack of service.

Visited Family Medicine at NAS Whidbey Island today hoping to speak with the diabetes nurse. My husband (retired Army) and I, looking for a retirement place, have traveled to many of the western states comparing medical facilities, cost of living, weather, etc., to narrow down our search. We often go to the medical clinics and speak with people about the services offered. I have Type I diabetes and am very involved in my treatment. I use an insulin pump ( thank you wonderful people at Tripler!) but most of the medical people at duty stations after Hawaii were unfamiliar with the pump and wanted me to return to injections. I asked to speak with the diabetes nurse to determine if the medical facility would support my current treatment (insulin pump) if I were to move to Whidbey Island. The diabetes nurse was called and told she had people out front waiting to see her if she had time. We sat and waited only to be called back up to the reception area to be told that as I am not a patient, the diabetes nurse did not want to speak with me. We have not been turned away at any other military treatment facility and we appreciated the other medical professionals speaking with us. I know nothing about the quality of medical care given at this facility but I'm going to give the customer service a big thumbs down.

Excellent staff and physicians! Great access.

For those giving this place a one star review for not being able to get ahold of someone because you don’t know their extension. Next time just hit 0 and it will take you to the quarterdeck who can easily transfer you to whoever you need 99% of the time

Valentin Delbar Dieu

Poor communication, long waiting time. Worst hospital in town! It doesn’t matter who you need to see, they will always give you a hard time! Nobody knows anything, most of the staff is rude and unaware. I wish the customer service would be better.

Apparently any level of pain in my knees that I feel is debilitating is “normal” says every doctor, excuse me, flight surgeon I see there. Had one physical therapist give me a piece of paper with a bunch of stick figures doing certain exercises. Not impressed with the care. Go out in town if you have the option.

Sam Daniel

I went in today for medication refills. I was in and out of the pharmacy in 3 minutes!

Josh Stump

If you are not a chief, a civilian, or an officer, then their attitude is "F*** You." Was in chronic pain for 6 months + Limited duty because they would only give pain pills. Went to a different doctor who found that I had an Impingement in my shoulder. Went back her and had it fixed in a day.

Malia Johnson

I would give a zero if option were available. Absolutely no help to families of the military or care for them. Complete arrogance when speaking to them on the phone.
