Now the business has a score of 3 stars out of 5 and that score was based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, it has an average rating is discreet, neither too high nor too low, and it's founded on a high number of opinions, so we may say that the assessment is very accurate. If there are many people who bothered to evaluate when they are happy with the business, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to set opinions when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Hospital belongs to the category of Walk-in clinic.
Horrible experience. Waiting room smells like smoke was told a 10 min wait and ended up waiting over an hour, receptionists were extremely rude
Dr Azmeena has been so so kind and great. She has been very helpful whenever I reached to her regarding my health. Thank you dr azmeena
I am so grateful for this clinic! My son has been suffering from an itchy rash for weeks. He has been misdiagnosed of eczema while we visited family out west. When we came home I had the gut feeling to get a second opinion. We saw Azmina. She took her time to carefully look through his rash and diagnosed him with Scabies! She prescribed the whole family the permethrin cream and it's already looking so much better! Azmina you are an amazing health professional!
Terrible place. lady on Phone was useless and rude.
My husband and I walked in after he dropped an armour stone on his foot at work. His foot was swollen and bleeing, he could hardly walk. The clinic closed at 8pm and we arrived at 7:15. The nurse refused to treat him and suggested we went to another clinic. It was inhumane on their part considering that health care proffessionals should always prioritize people's well being.
Friendly staff, quick service, lots of parking, quiet small waiting are, appreciate that they have waiting time in their website, recommended ????????
The doctors at this office to see me because I stood up for myself and advocated for better health care service. I wrote several emails regarding my concerns and got no response. So I choose to post on Facebook in the hopes of getting a response. And I did. But it was to tell me I was wrong. Then I go in as a walk in patient to be told no doctor will assess me. No reason. I was not sent anything in the mail. This office is the definition of unprofessional and incompetent. I am not mad they won't see me....better for me as I can now find a better doctor...one who actually knows what they are doing and care about their patients. I am mad about how they treat people. Not listening to patients, denying them services or tests and then telling the patient they're wrong. Not being professional about complaints, and not being courteous. DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC!!!!!
This is my go-to walk in clinic for quick professional treatments I have taken myself and my Autistic son for treatments and diagnoses here. They have even let us squeeze in close to closing to relieve an anxious Mom's nerves. Lovely people. They are patient and thorough.
the doctor and physicians assistant here are amazing but they're receptionists are awful. I needed my prescription renewed and when I went to the pharmacy they said they had not heard from the clinic. I called the clinic and the receptionist blamed me for not picking up my phone as they has supposedly called me twice however my phone history showed no such thing. her tone was extremely rude and she literally just hung up on me. when I called back and asked if I could speak to the doctor as my prescription still needed to be renewed she said the doctor would call me that day and then hung up, again no good bye. I waited all day and the doctor did not call. I called back 15 minutes before they closed to ask why nobody called me and they voice-mailed me, but their inbox was full so I couldn't even leave a message. this is a real shame because as I said the doctors and physicians assistant are fantastic but their receptionists act so entitled and are extremely rude. you'd think being a receptionists they'd be decent at customer service but they have some serious attitude issues.
Great staff. I feel bad for the patients they have to deal with. Some very rude people in the waiting room getting mad at the staff for the doctor being late. Ignorant people who don’t deserve to see this doctor if they treat staff like this. Keep it up ladies.
I'm new to the area need a doctor. The doctor refused me here because of medications prescribed to me by specialists! He said "I will not accept you as a patient." What caring medical professional does that!? I'm incensed!
Dr.Azmina is the best doctor I have ever met! But it didn’t make up for the extremely long wait times (5 hours while extremely ill which they were aware of) and being taken AFTER walk-in clients despite having a scheduled appointment. I think they need to get organized or take on less patients sadly
This clinic is a joke! I have been there twice, Sundays are supposed to close at 8 I went there at 5 and they were closing, then another time I went there at 6:45 pm and they Said they were at full capacity so they couldn't take me in! Like seriously? I find the doctors are just apprentice there, some of the staff is friendly but others are just not nice!
Great doctors and very friendly Staff.
My family doctor called here to ensure they had a specific vaccination (TDAP) for me to get. They said they had it. I show up here and doctor tried to give me an incorrect vaccination (TD). When corrected she stated that the other is unsafe for pregnancy. I told her and showed her that both Niagara Public Health and Canadian Health Department approves and recommends that all pregnant women get it. I was then told that they don't have this vaccine. I was here for an hour ... and left without the vaccination ... Doctor needs to go back to school and brush up on her immunizations. Receptionist was super nice the doctor was ignorant and rude. Won't come here again.
Ive been going to this clinic for over a year with myself and 2 children. While I do believe they are under staffed they do get us in fast and efficient. There is nothing more frustrating than calling and no one picks up though. I wish there was someone permanently on phones. Dr. Mukendi has been our primary doctor and while his bedside manner is not great, he does a full work up and gets what you need. Azmina is great and listens so well. Wish they had a paediatrician at their office full time. Sam at front office is great but she’s got too much on her plate. She needs to be off phones so she can work with patients. Otherwise she is great. I would recommend this clinic for sure.
Never have I ever had such a stressful time with a doctor they are poorly organized. Everytime I go in I know there is gonna be some issue.
The team is incredibly kind and professional. I consistently get the best care every visit. Minimal wait times. Very clean.
Had two concerns looked at. What a lovely female doctor I saw yesterday. She was very helpful, professional, caring, attentive and efficient. The reception desk was very good too.
Waited over 30 mins in the room with my 2 boys under 4 with one person ahead of us...the two people who came in after us were seen before us. Walked out, terrible service, will not be going there again and would not recommend it either.
receptionist left me on hold for 10 minutes for a question that takes 10 seconds. didn't even get a chance to speak.
Highly recommend this clinic. Wait times are extremely low. The receptionists are very kind and friendly people. The doctor (Azmina) is a wonderful person and everything you hope for when seeing a doctor. Best walk in clinic in the city. Make sure to check it out
Was put on hold for a atleast 10-15 minutes and then was hung up on... As a new patient looking for a Family Doctor this is extermely off putting and discouraging. I would not recommend this practice to anyone. This is Health Care nowadays, to anyone reading keep researching and ensure you find a practice that cares about the patients from the doctors to their staffs. As the doctor's staffs is reflection of the doctor.
Dr. Atif and their staff are one of the best at maintaining their attitude and tolerance. They deliver the best service since I’ve been coming to them for the past 6 weeks. It baffles me that this clinic is getting unnecessary reviews when half of them can be solved by setting an appointment on the same day. Let’s be considerate of the fact that they work hard to make sure you live another day. P.S. You guys are amazing at what you do and please keep it up!!!
Worst wait times ever. Rude receptionist
Extremely nice people, except I walked in before another patient and one of the secretary’s started talking to me and another patient walked and even though the first secretary was taking awhile to get my information the second secretary starting serving the next patient which resulted in the other patient going in first and me waiting 30+ minutes when I clearly checked the wait time prior to coming. All I ask is to please be fair and ensure you are doing your jobs correctly because I shouldn’t have to face the consequences of someone else’s mistakes.
I just came home from this clinic, the receptionist and doctor Azmina Atif were incredibly quick and super kind. I was literally in and out in under an hour. She made sure to ask a lot of questions and get the whole story, and was very prompt and informative about the prescription, addressing all of my concerns about reactions regarding my current medications. 10/10 would recommend. Will definitely be making an appearance again if I have any other concerns. Thank you!
awesome doctors office, staff is friendly and a great group of people.
What a complete waste of time ...... first they tell me I have to see a Doctor (they do not have them on site), and when I was not wanting to make an appointment to see one days later .... all of a sudden they would let me see someone who I am not even sure of their medical designation and the whole thing was very sketchy ......... never walking back in UPDATE - The practice seems to have replied and blamed it on COVID so that those who read this truthful bad review dismiss what is being said here. Not only do I stand by what I said, and it was NOT an issue due to new protocols, but the fact they are trying to gloss over a bad review should give you an idea of their continued lack of integrity. They want you to know their Doctors are licensed, BUT they put you in to see someone WHO IS NOT a Doctor and in their words, "is supervised by one". Hard pass from me on that level of care. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE is you want professional care with integrity
Definitely not open until 5 on Sundays. Please update your hours.
Can I give zero stars? Saturday clinic is supposed to be open at 9am. Got there at 9 and waited ten mins outside the door until the receptionist finally came out to tell me the doctor is “stuck in traffic and won’t be here for thirty mins” that’s funny I just checked my Waze and my google maps and noticed no traffic at all. Just regular times. Hmmm maybe the doctor should leave early to accomodate the drive he as to take if he is coming from Toronto? It’s funny because I thought being a doctor was a serious job and was taken seriously ? If you live in Toronto please leave at 7am so you are here at 830 and early. You have people waiting to see you and you could potentially save a life. Overall very unprofessional and the fact the doors weren’t open till 910am is absolutely insane. There’s many other walk in clinics near by. Do yourself a favour and choose one.
I have been going to the clinic for the past 6 years and service just Ok but when I met Azmina - Physician Assistant service rendered went to OK to Wow!!!! She is very pleasant and very friendly. Hopefully she can stay on this location for a long time.
awesome experience. my boyfriend went into this clinic for an eye issue and the doctor and receptionist were very concerned and helpful. never had such a good experience with a doctors office. definitely recommend going here!
The Physicians assistant by the name of Sam is absolutely terrible and should have his medical licenses revoked. Did not assist in any way during my visit and directed me to another doctor when he could have resolved the issue. I would give 0 stars if I could
The ladies at the front are amazing. However this "dr Yabondo Mukendi" is the rudest person I have ever had the displeasure of speaking with.
Dr. Khawar prescribed “Mirralax” for my severe colitis to alleviate diarrhea. I now have dysplasia and cancer. I inquired with the College of Physicians and Surgeons if Mirralax was a new procedural phylaxis. They replied that it was not a new or recognized treatment. Should I call that malpractice or weaponization? The Scott Street Medical Centre staff are friendly and like all Medcare offices is slightly unsanitary.
Absolutely ignorant and demanding doctor. I'll never come back again. I can't believe how violated I feel.
Dr Azmina is great!! She helped tremendously when others couldn't. Her considerate and caring manner was very reassuring and her explanations set my family's minds at ease. She had the correct knowledge, and her willingness to do a little extra to help was impressive. I will definitely return with any other needs that arise. :))))
1)Medical staff/doctor's are uncaring and judgemental. 2) Worst medical services I have ever experience
Very pleased with the care and speed with which I was seen for a nasty spider bite. The receptionist staff paid attention to my concern and to the others who were present as well, handling calls and tending to necessary tasks with the people who kept coming in the door. The doctor was quick to assess my issue and I was in and out within 30 minutes. Thank you for the quality care.
The clinic closes at 8pm but if u go in a 630 7ish they tell u they r not accepting patients this is the fourth time they have done this... and they tell u they have a sign but when u go look at it their curtain thing is covering it and u cant see it. Not to mention online it says open till 8pm. If they stop accepting patients two hrs to an hr and a half early their online should say open. Till eight but accepting patients only till 5 or 6 .. it has potential to be an alright clinic if they cared more about the people then making it out of work on time. And looking at the comments everyone says the same thing they come early u wont accept them... and their response back is so generic
The receptionist is very pleasant, wait time wasn’t long at all, and hours are very convenient :)
Came in with my 5 year old son with suspected hand foot and mouth disease at 11:30 am and was told it would be a 30 minute wait. After 45 minutes I ask the receptionist if we were forgotten because lots of people getting in before us that came in after. Apparently they had appointments. We were assured we were next. Another 45 minutes goes by and we finally get in to the room but then half to wait half an hour just to see the doctor! So we were forced to wait 2 hours instead of half an hour with no updates or apology.
The best walk in I have ever been to. They took my mom on as a patient and saw her the same day. They also called her at home to make sure she was okay. I'd recommend this clinic to anyone.
Quick and efficient ! Great clinic.
The staff was amazing and friendly, they got me in super quick when I told them I had to work. The doctor (I didn't catch her name) was absolutely fantastic!
I love this Walk-in Clinic, the location is convenient and the hours of operation are longer than others in the city - much needed and appreciated. The lovely young receptionist, Samantha, is so kind, patient, friendly and helpful. The Physicians assistant Azmina is calm, friendly and thorough. Only downside is that wait times can be a bit long sometimes, but it’s a popular location and they’re busy!
First time going and Dr. Azmina is amazing! The receptionist was super cool as well! Would recommend!
Looked up web md in front of us and read for 20 mins. Prescribed american drugs unavailable in Canada. Incompetance...dont go here.
My experience was awful in so much pain with my back , over 8 months. They accepted me and my family has our family doctor. I woke up in so much pain could hardly walk I keep telling this female doctor something is wrong with me and she keep telling me it only a little arthirst. In less than 4 months I took sick again I when there told her the pain I'm feeling it let me fall to the ground I can't go to work something wrong she gave me 3 sick days and told me I will get better to return work on the monday. I went and see a male doctor he see I could not walk and referred me to do MRI thank God for him my result comes out and they see the pain I'm in. I lost my income because of her my husband have to step in and tell her my wife is sick that's when she gave me 2 weeks off. I'm still not able to walk properly and in so much pain So sad of the treatment received from the health service . No one can tell someone pain and need to know it's your body andyou know if something is wrong. I hope no one else go through this i have to made the decision to to stop work I would not able to walk because of doctor telling foolishness.
The people and doctors are quite nice and polite but the waiting time is excruciating. I've been twice here, both times with an appointment. The first was a Saturday and waiting time was 2 and a half hours. The second time was a Tuesday afternoon and the wait was over two hours. Don't make plans for at least a few hours following the appointment. Update: Owner of the clinic apologized for the wait time.
I brought my daughter and I here as we were both sick. The lady who treated us is absolutely wonderful so kinda and sweet. We will be going back for sure. They were nice and fast. I was absolutely impressed.
Thank you so much to the wonderful staff for taking me 30 minutes before closing. It was a walk in emergency — I got cut when I was at the beach by a fish spine that must have been welded to a rock underneath the water. The receptionist almost wouldn’t take me until she saw the seriousness of the situation. I understand she was doing her job. The laceration was still bleeding and indeed was wide enough for it to need glue. Dr. Azmina decided to examine the injury and took me in with pleasure and grace, even though the clinic was closed. She even updated my tetnis shot! She was an angel. Bless you, and thank you for the help!
I recently came in to get pt2 of my TB shot signed off ON and read, how ever the lady at the front desk nika I want to say her name was, was beyond rude when trying to clarify information that was taken not even 48 hrs ago; I was clearly in a rush having a bad day and she fed off that; so instead of working with such proceeded to have such an attitude with me & tryd to charge me 50$ for a missed apt for the day before (thursday) as a WALKIN clinic?!?!: as a front desk clerk or a MOA you never know what kind of day the person on the other side of the counter is having so regardless as to how one is feeling in their personal life it's not to be reflected at "work" when I had gone in on the Wednesday I advised that Thursday I had evening class till 530 my class ended up running late, my daughter isnt very mobile atm due to a car accident recently and I wasnt able to make it in before closing. Theres nothing around the office that states a charge will be applied or a 24 hour cancellation is requested to avoid a charge. Needless to say I needed this final part of my TB shot to be completed and handed in this evening to my school or my classes are put on hold until I'm able to complete such. ???????? worst clinic experience EVER! UPDATE: I ended up going back with 50$ that i had to lend and due to my negative reveiw they told me i needed to pay 50 for the missed apt and 35 for my TB reading at this point its past the 72 hours any how and I have to restart (I havnt had to pay for either of them and have never heard of a charge until now) none the less if your going to have charges it's usually considerate to inform ur patients of such: now I have to start back from the beggining of this process which takes a couple of weeks of going to the doctor a total of 4 times, talk about an inconvenience when all that was needed was a signature on my peice of paper and for the dr to look at my skin. Came back 3 months later becaue it was the only clinic with no wait times according to medi map: with 2 people ahead of me i waited over an hour to be seen -_-
Would not recommend this clinic for anything mental health related SECOND UPDATE: was scheduled an appointment to fill about disability forms with Dr. SINGH . I use the term doctor loosely. She is beyond cold hearted and generally misinformed. Ill keep it short, but she refused to even fill the forms for me because in her "opinion" I am not disabled (not that it's up to the doctors to decide) She told me a disability has to be physical and if its mental she said verbatim "you have to be MENTALLY RETARDED" pretty sure that term is outdated. This isn't the first time they denied me help. Azmina also told me my disorder is not valid. Unless you want to book with Sam (the only good person in the building) steer clear. Im quite literally disgusted with this place.
Wait times.
The people there are nice But they never answer the phone when I call, and I’ll wait a couple hours in between and still no answer, and their voicemail box is always full..so making appointments is near impossible and I’m not driving 25 mins to make one in person. Their time management needs improvement, I stopped going for a few months in hopes when I went back it would be better, but it’s not. They should only be appointment based, the walk ins make it way too confusing, especially when you tell someone that they’re going to be in the room in 10 mins then you end up waiting 40 and you ask when you’re going on and they tell you another 20 because the doctor is running behind. Ok so have two doctors and stop with the walk ins. I had a severe stomach condition and tried everything, and they didn’t help me. I did it on my own along with a naturopath. And when I had a fowl smell coming from my mouth, I literally got told to increase my fibre intake? Are you even educated? A tonsil stone popped out a week later, thanks for checking. Didn’t even look at my mouth. Better off doctoring yourself, I have to go there tomorrow unfortunately I have an appointment at 6 but I’m probably not going to be in until 7 because Scott street medical has their own time zone. Sincerely A patient that’s been suffering and you haven’t helped.
5 starts for doctor Azmine. She is very professional and helpful. If you don’t like to wait for an hour or two it’s better to call and make an appointment because you will wait a lot. That’s all about it cheers
My first experience here was actually good. However, tried to come for walk in at 7:00pm (says they’re open until 8pm) and was told they were at capacity. If you aren’t taking patients until 8, change your hours this was extremely inconvenient.
Very organized and clean. The reception was fast and the doctor was professional. In and out in 20 minutes!!
I like the people here. The receptionists are very friendly and Azmina was very helpful, she took the time to actually listen to me and she actually cared. I have always had good experiences when I come here and I like that they are open late and on weekends.
I emailed them over a week ago asking very basic information. They never returned the email. If you can't rely on someone behind the counter to respond when you politely ask them a question, how can you move forward with any sort of positive interaction - you can't. Consistently, you haven't picked up the phone, either. Please hire more people or I can lend you a book about "communications in a business or customer service environment" for you to upgrade yourselves.
On Saturday Sept 19 I went here at 9am with a severely painful earache. I handed the clerk my OHIP card which expired DURING COVID on August 4. The clerk told me they don't accept expired cards. I clearly explained that; 1. I had been treated here before with the same card just weeks prior and I was accepted and 2. I went to Service Ontario and they said I do not need to renew this card, it is valid and extended during covid. 3. It is a commonly known fact Ontario has extended all health cards till at least October so this was NOT an expired card. The clerk did not care and just said no and refused me help. Explaining I was in terrible pain and needed a doctor did no good. She said it was policy. Obviously there was no care or compassion here. I found another clinic that treated me because my card is actually valid. So I went home and emailed this clinic through their web site. NOBODY HAS REPLIED. So the message here is clear; our profit and getting paid is more important than a suffering person. This flies in the face of all common sense, all human compassion and is shameful and disgusting. I will be making a formal complaint to the College of Physicians and Surgeons Ontario because I also believe this to be a breach of some kind of law. I have been a client at this clinic a long time and have always been happy with the doctors and service but they will never see me again nor any of my large family and friends. PATHETIC
Had swollen glands/sore throat and decided to go to this walk-in clinic for a strep test and maybe some antibiotics as I am in pain. I walked into their tiny crammed waiting room and wasn't even greeted but stared at. After telling her why I was coming in today all she asked was if I had a negative covid test? Even though I'm DOUBLE VACCINATED with proof. It is sad to think that these days people think all the other illnesses have disappeared and there is only covid now. Now I have to sit at home uncomfortable and in pain and wait for a doctor to call me lol
We walked in with a bloody foot that needed to be stitched up. The Doc cleaned it and looked it over and then said she wouldn’t do it. Because of where it was located—between the big toe—she suggested we go to the hospital. Really?????? SMH. We went to the hospital and even they questioned why the WIC Doc wouldn’t do it. Four hours and three stitches later we were done and back home. Still don’t understand why the Doc at the WIC wouldn’t do the stitches. The only positive to our experience was we were in and out in 40 minutes—hence the one star. But if I had known she wouldnt do the stitches I would have went straight to the hospital instead. I wont return to the clinic. (In regards to their reply: that’s ridiculous! Since when does the size or condition of a cut determine whether a DOCTOR can help?? Isn’t that what Doctors are trained to do? By their response, I can only conclude that the WIC Doc does not have the same training as an ER Doc. Or atleast this one didn’t. Good luck to you)
My boyfriend had a serious issue which needed attention, he was very anxious about going anywhere due to the COVID-19 virus. We chose this clinic for the first time. It was the most welcoming experience. He came to the car with his paperwork, and was called twice to ensure he was doing well and still in need of help. The doctor was very concerned and caring, listening to his needs and took action accordingly. Both the front clerk and doctor were professional and understanding, making him feel comfortable in an anxious and personal situation. On top of that the wait time was minimal as both the ladies were knowledgeable and efficient, ensuring everyone got the help they need when they needed it. Thank you for keeping the community in good health.
DO NOT GO HERE!! Just went to this SKETCHY clinic and they turned me away at 3:25 pm ... yet the website says they close at 6:00 pm and so does the sign on their door!! I went across the street to the other walk in clinic to find out the nurse there also says it’s a sketchy place... as I was talking to her, a waiting patient told me, she also had a horrible experience there as well... they turned her away with her 7 year old son and told her they DON’T see patients that are under 14 years of age!! What kind of malpractice place do they have going there?? ALSO... just found out my own mother went there and they gave her the wrong medication!! So... AVOID AT ALL COST!!
Staff is very friendly. Renee the Nurse Practitioner is hands down the most compassionate, patient and responsive medical provider I've ever had. I was recently diagnosed with Primary Progressive non remission MS. I also had a spinal fusion and lamenectomy having degenerative unstable spondylothesis and severe lumbar stenosis. I also suffer from cervical spondylosis and Fibromyalgia. Ms Renee has always listened to my concerns patiently, without making me feel rushed. She promptly addresses my issues and never makes me feel like I'm too high of maintenance or my questions too petty. Renee has sent me referrals swiftly, fills my perscription promptly, authorized for me to have at home IV treatments quickly, wrote a letter and filled an application without hesitation, listens to me and provide alternatives and solutions in an informative and compassionate way. ~ Leta Root ~
Absolutely useless. Brought my young son in after being sick for almost 2 weeks, cough and non stop fever. Upon entering was told they won't take him as they were "done for the day" even though they were still open for 45 minutes and only one person in waiting room. Only other walk in open was 20 minutes away and we couldn't get to it but still wouldn't look at him.
I have been waiting for test results they asked which were done over a month ago. I was called back and told they were making 2 appointments with specialists because of concerns. One month later & numerous calls to they office for info I am told someone will return my calls but never happens. AS of today they tell me my appointments were refused & cancelled for no reason they can give me ... more run around ,,,, 3rd world health care D.S.
Awful clinic. Staff is unhelpful and incomprehensibly incompetent. Spent hours trying to call but no one ever picks up, emails aren't ever answered, and information given online seems to be incorrect (unless even basic questions are too hard to understand for them). Had to go to the clinic with a basic inquiry about registering as a patient only to be given basic info about walk-in.
At this office they really listen to your concerns and how you are feeling. They don't push medication on you. I am impressed more because for the longest time I struggled with a health issue and was never listened. To. For that doctor I thank you!❤
Waited 1&1/2 hr for prescription refill only to be told they don’t know my dosage , which I’m pretty sure when you first apply should be in your medical file. You are the doctor. Longest waiting ever in my experience. And as to your response below, I am a patient of this clinic! Or shall I say was.
Appointment for 1245 for a 15 minute meet and greet for me to be a new patient, turns into me sitting for an hour watching people go in before me. Then when I go into a room it's another wait and finally I had to leave for another appointment I had scheduled.
They took me on as a patient as I couldn't find a doctor anywhere. I'm dealing with a bulged disc and they have been great. It's a busy place but they do there best like any other walk in clinic. Renee and Dr.Singh are awesome!!
Really they are good staff and they treated us politely thank you
Quick and through. Very clean office
I had a great experience with this clinic, and the doctor's assistant who saw to me. He asked me some great questions that I'd never been asked by a doctor in a clinic before, and helped me connect the dots to some other health issues I'd been experiencing. That level of care and attention is amazing!
Wonderful staff and practitioners. They helped me so quickly today. Love working with both Azmina and Sam.
It is so disappointing, I saw the doctor in the Scott street clinic 3 week ago for my pregnancy and request for a referral, waited till today. When I called my gyne clinic they still did not receive my referral. I called again the Scott street clinic but the response was not so good. This is not a good place for consultation…
Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. The doctor was indifferent, passive aggressive, and demeaning when I brought my 6 month old in. He didn’t even want to examine her. Incredible how bad that whole experience was. Don’t ever go!
Will never go there again. I found the staff & doctors to be very unprofessional. I could tell you about the terrible experience I had there but I prefer to stay positive and honestly do not want to relive the 90 minutes that I'll never get back because I made the mistake of chosing this clinic.
Azmina the PA was very funny and bubbly I would reccomend her over and over again <3
Dear Staff: At the bottom of this review YOU DEEMED THIS REVIEW AS FAKE-----I CAN ASSURE YOU 100% THAT I WAS YOUR PATIENT ---UNTIL YOU DID WHAT I WROTE IN MY REVIEW. The name associated to my email is my moniker name only. REST ASSURED THAT YOU WILL BE HEARING FROM ME VERY SOON. Quite a story about this place. Receptionists very nice. Be aware that this place runs mostly on DA's--doctor assistants. You have a right to see a REAL DOCTOR--and not have your PRIMARY CARE provided by DA's like this place does. Asked to see the DOCTOR--was refused and told DA decides if you can see the doctor. Asked for a MRI-was refused---and lectured about wasting health care costs!!!! Asked about a specific vaccination--was refused----and lectured about it not necessary and medication just making lots of money for TV advertisers. ??? When I discussed refusals and that they must abide by College of Physicians and Surgeons rules--DA walked out of the room and left me there. I left and months later had my pharmacy fax in a script for meds --as per Scott St's directions.--Prescription was refused!--as per info from pharmacy. Reason??--as per fax from Scott St. Med.--"PATIENT DISMISSED FROM OUR PRACTICE." NO REASON OR NOTIFICATION WAS EVER PROVIDED TO PATIENT. ALSO THIS NOT ALLOWED AS PER COLLEGE OF PHYSICIANS AND SURGEONS.--I WAS TOLD TO SUE SCOTT ST. MEDICAL BY COLLEGE. ATTENTION PATIENTS>>>> KNOW YOUR RIGHTS! THIS PLACE DOES NOT OPERATE BY THE RULES. YOUR HEALTHCARE MAY BE COMPROMISED!!
I took my 2 year old daughter last week with with a cold and they took her in. They prescribed no medication and suggested to come back of she is still not well . A week later we took her back because my significant other also had caught he cold. He did a rapid covid test that morning which came up negative, and they were both turned away and refused medical attention. Even though they though they had attended several other small children, they couldn't be bother to give us the time of day. Very unprofessional, will never return, and will advise everyone I know to avoid this place at all costs.
I recently cut my thumb pretty bad and decided to leave early from work this afternoon to get it checked out as it seemed like it might be infected and as a diabetic I didn’t want to leave it. I checked the hours of the clinic and they were open until 6pm. So I took a bus from work down to the clinic and arrived just before 5pm. I walked in and stood at the counter and when receptionist came around the corner to her desk she looked at me and said “we aren’t accepting anymore patients as it is really busy” I explained I came all the way down by bus and really needed to see a doctor and her response was yea we are the only place open but you should go to urgent care. The hospital is across town from Scott street. I was very displeased with her attitude and disregard for my having to travel all the way down there to be turned away an hour before they closed. There was 2 couples and 2 mothers with small children and one other person. There was not a line up out the door so I am sure they could have squeezed me in.
Dr was very rude to me. I tried asking a question and the dr got offended because I said I looked something up on google. Completely rude to me when all I asked was a simple question. Won’t go there again.
I have been to this location 4 times and though the wait was a tad longer than anticipated, the staff and providers were friendly and reassuring. The provider who treated me was apologizing for the wait and assisted in my urgent concern very promptly. I was educated and walked through the process. Great Clinic!
I've been here 4 times and have always been told there is a 1.5 - 2 hour wait, regardless of time I've shown up. I can't say anything about the actual care they provide, but I would recommend the clinic across the street or on the corner or Bunting and Carleton if you value prompt service.
Unprofessional, unwelcoming, and untrustworthy clinic. Not recommended at all....
I went in Today with my daughter because she had fever last night. The receptionist didnt took the time to grab the OHIP card as soon as i said "FEVER" She told me they unfortunately can't do anything without a negative covid test because my daughter had one covid symptom. The receptionist was coughing and i told her see you have covid because you are coughing you shouldn't be here either. For a 20 months old baby fever could be for so many reasons like Infections (ear, throat, etc) like mine was ear infection no necessary have to be covid.Really we all are struggling with Covid around but that doesn't mean Deny a child a medical care. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE to anyone.
Really great experience. I was treated with respect and the doctor truly listened to my concerns.
Amazing service at this clinic. We had an emergency situation with our daughter having a long piece of glass stuck in her finger. The receptionist was beyond helpful and made sure the physician assistant would be willing to remove the glass before making us wait with our crying little girl. The doctor came out to the waiting room to assess the situation quickly and treated us promptly. She was so competent and kind. She has amazing bedside manner, perfect for children. We had stopped at another nearby clinic first where the receptionist was not even willing to ask the doctor if this situation could be treated there and she was going to make us wait an hour to possibly be told to go to the ER.
Absolutely love the doctors and staff there! Dr Uthayalingam is very approachable and takes concerns seriously. I also see Dr Lubbad, she's absolutely amazing. As someone who has social anxiety, she definitely helps put everything at ease. The staff at the front are always smiling and greet everyone with a welcoming smile.
If can avoid it, don’t go here. Wait times are always OVER an hour when there is only 3 people ahead of you. They tell you 10-15 minutes. I came here for a large burn on my leg and the female doctor gave me so much wrong information about how to take care of it and what kind of burn it was. I didn’t think anything she told me was correct so I go into my family doctor and he was shocked at what she had told me. She also did not seem to care very much. Mostly Everyone including receptionists are nice but not a well run clinic at all……..
The doctor at the clinic, is my Mother in law go there from the day 1 until now, in the beginning the doctor was very friendly, and now big changes, maybe because he have clients now, he is very RUDE, unfriendly, and we have 5 days waiting for some papers to send to the Farmacy and nothing, he doesn't care about the health of the people,,but iam sure he doesn't care any more because he no need more clients
Whatever the patients post and voice their concerns about the tardiness and the mismanagement of time and professionalism of not only the doctors but those 3 girls at the front desk who knows nothing about nothing the "so called" owner refutes you in their response and make up silly excuses. The patients want the problems fixed not excused especially when you have to wait over 3 hours for appointments. This is beyond acceptable and should be reported to the Commission.
Dr Azmina is amazing. She is so knowledgable and makes me feel comfortable every time I come in. I only prefer to make appointments with her as she is very accommodating and friendly. Every time I come to the clinic, she is always there working hard. She has answered every single one of my questions, and takes the time and effort to care about her patients. I really enjoy coming to this clinic even if the wait times are long, the staff are really friendly and they care about your health. I also appreciate that the clinic is VERY clean unlike most places, they have a welcoming atmosphere. I understand that it can get busy at times especially operating as a walk-in clinic but they have great hours. I don't know any place with the hours that this clinic offers. Overall, I always have a good experience and Azmina is wonderful.
Been there a bunch of diff times and they never know what they are doing. They made up that I had diabetes 2. And didn't know how to treat low testosterone. Seems like they are learning on the fly with Google
Pretty good. Receptionists are very nice however it just wastes a person's time when they give you a script for 10 pills and no repeats offered. I am unable to go every single week. Talk about wasting health care costs. They bare some of the brunt of that.
While showing open with a ten minute wait in medi map they were closed with the door locked. When I came (spending 20 dollars on a taxi. The nurse wouldn't let me in. Also never changed the list g after I talked to them
Saw the doctor before I even finished filling out the form! So quick, receptionists friendly, smiling, sincere. Less than half an hour. Best walk-in experience ever.
This office is terrible, (the staff is great besides one employee) I'm an actual patient there and have been for years they started out great but they constantly change doctors *without notifying you*... Their current doctor is the rudest person in the medical field I have ever met. His name is Sounmyadeep Bag and he shouldn't be practicing medicine. I've seen him multiple times and every time he doesn't answer questions, leaves them open ended and literally rolls his eyes at you. I feel so anxious when I see him it makes me feel like I'm troubling him just being there and he never has any idea what's going on. He also stares at me weird. Worst doctor I've ever been around.
Came an hour before they closed and was told they were at capacity. Super cool.
Great doctors
The clinic may open at 8 but the doctor runs on their own schedule. I was told the doctor is coming from oakville and we have no idea when they will be here.
I rate the clinic a 4/5. Clean, tidy, organized and well kept. Staff are approachable and pleasant. Provider very educated and polite. I am a new patient and look forward to staying longer term. Thank you.
Clinic is nicely renovated and clean. I was treated well especially Samantha at the front is very friendly, always genuine and helpful. I leave with a smile at every visit . That clinic is so much better now
I don’t understand the negative reviews (?) Today I had an appointment and waited 6 minutes before being called into a room. I have primarily been seen by Azmina Atif, a Physician Assistant who has been the best medical professional that I have ever met with. I have had excellent care by all of the staff but Azmina is my favourite and I completely trust her guidance. I also love that I can get bloodwork there at 8am with no wait, comparing to the lab closest to me where there is always a wait. Highly recommend giving them a chance!
I am having great experiences at this clinic. I have personally never been treated by the head physician. However, one of the physician assistants', Azmina has always taken great care of me and my family. Azmina is very professional, patient, and knowledgeable. My husband was suffering from an infection that sent him to tge hospital every week. No one at the hospital could figure out what was wrong. Azmina was able to diagnose, treat, and monitor my husband. I will continue going to this clinic!
This clinic has a real issue with time management. If you have a serious health concern, I would recommend seeking medical care elsewhere. I am a patient of their family practice. I showed up on-time for my appointment and waited 1.5 hours before having to leave without being seen due to prior commitments (despite telling the receptionist beforehand about it). I was not the only patient who had this problem tonight, and after speaking with the receptionist, this seems to be a recurring issue. This has also happened to me every time that I've been there. What is the point of an appointment.. This is clearly an organizational flaw that needs to be discussed and fixed. Booking longer appointment times knowing that appointments are clearly taking longer than expected, having more staff on-hand, courtesy calls to patients whose appointments will not be able to happen on time, or even telling these patients about the wait time upon arrival are all solutions to this problem that could easily be implemented. I honestly feel bad for the receptionist who has to deal with upset and yelling patients all day long for an issue this problem which is not their fault.
Came here 1.5 hrs before closing time and no one was here and the door was locked. I was appreciative of finding a clinic with longer hours due to our toddler's nap schedule...but this was a slap in the face, seeing as there aren't many open Saturday at this time. Now we have to drive to another walk-in clinic in Niagara Falls, owned by the same company. The only explanation I got from the other clinic was 'sometimes they close early'. Then don't have posted closing hours.
I would reccomend this clinic to anyone needing and wanting quality care. Not only does this clinic accommodate the public by offering extended hours, they provide lab services and walk ins without appointment times. By reading some of the reviews I cannot help but state my pleasant experience. Yes it is a busy place, and yes sometimes you have to wait but think about it, where else can you go without an appointment now a days? For the short wait time I encountered I cannot complain as I am grateful for the options available to me for me. This clinic has many accommodations to provide to the public, including virtual care, and for those who decide to write nasty reviews without thinking about what is available to help them should really reconsider the options available. To Scott Street Medical Clinic and ALL STAFF, you have been truly amazing, keep up the great work and continue to offer the flexible services you have available, as for some of us, it does not go unnoticed. Sincerely, a truly grateful patient, thank you for what you do.
I showed up at 7pm and was told the clinic was closed despite an open sign
Came one Monday with my daughter and the doctor she saw, an older lady, was great. Came with my son a Thursday and was told the doctor that's in on Tuesdays and Thursdays doesn't see children. Really? Five stars for the first doctor, but zero for this other doctor, shame on him or her really.
I made an appointment for my daughter to get her vaccinations at the clinic (one required and two optional) and ensured they had stock on them. Next day I called to clarify that we were getting all three, not just the one required, and was told that they no longer had stock - so we rescheduled. A couple of days later was then called by the clinic who advised me that the only way they could provide the vaccinations is if we paid for them. They advised I call the Public Health Department in St. Catharines as they could give them for free. Public Health told me that Scott Street Medical was confused and is able to give the vaccinations at no charge.
Called 6 times throughout the morning (not even exaggerating) to make an appointment with not one answer to the phone.. Came in as a walk in because I needed a visit. Waited almost 3 hours!! Walk-ins who came in after me were served first. Ridiculous.
Went yesterday to have 6 stitches removed from fore-head. First off large African American Doctor (no I am not being racist, I just don't know his name) told me to "Stay still or I will send you home" Not a pleasant way to interact with a total stranger, let alone a patient. Then he was not sure if he removed all the stitches, and asked me to take a look??? R U kidding me? What am I looking for? I am not a Doctor. So today I went to the Pelhan Clinic where Doctor Jei was very professional had still had to remove THREE stitches! yes THREE -
Drove all the way from Thorold to get my daughter a perespection for a diaper rash, turns out they don’t accept any children. Confused since they advertise also as a family practice. Just warning other families before they try to take the children!
Went to this clinic because i wanted to get my blood pressure taken as i was put on different heart meds and Shoppers Drug mart has shut down the blood pressure self mo itoring machines. I had slighr chest pains. They refused to take me and told me to go to the hospital!! Why cant you take my blood pressure?? Totally disgusted with this clinic.
After slicing my finger on a mandolin went to this clinic..Doctorwas very gentle, very kind..highly recommend this clinic
This location is my go to for walk in clinics- a very clean, friendly environment. I have seen Dr. Khawar on multiple occasions and always have a great experience with her. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and kindly answers any questions I have. Highly recommend for walk in needs!
The lady at the front is super nice i checked the medi site for wait times it was very quick the nurse on duty also super nice. One of the better experiences at a walk in for sure
Really unpleasant experience. I went in with my daughter because she had a fever all night. The receptionist told me they unfortunately can't do anything without a negative covid test. For a 2 year old? There was absolutely no remorse towards a worried parent and a sick child. Was just given some virtual clinic number I can call. Very sad... I hope the right person reads this. And may karma catch up to you while everyone is struggling and suffering during these times. Very sad the state of what health care has come down to for a child!
The Best Dr. Ever good bed side manners a Dr.who cares and answers your question and concerns shows she really cares you don't find Dr.like that no more. The staff their are very caring and wonderful always nice smiles and a great place to go.
great medical care, good doctors and staff. the hours of this clinic are convenient.
I was very satisfied with my visit here. They were open on a holiday and as soon as I arrived, the receptionist was friendly and prompt. Dr. Khawar provided excellent service. I would be happy to return when in the area again.
I have always had excellent experiences here. The doctors are knowledgeable & very good. I always leave far better off than when I arrive. The wait times are not very long either, which is a bonus! :)
Extremely disappointed with this clinic. I have gone here or had my pharmacy fax for prescription refills multiple times, and have had no issue before. The refill request was faxed from my pharmacy to the clinic a week early. A few days later I called because the prescription was still not done. The lady I spoke to told me she had to book an appointment - which was fine - and the Dr. would call me (if even needed). I started to get calls from "Meira Care", a clinic I have never used or heard of. She failed to inform me that I would be speaking to a completely new Dr, from a totally different clinic. *Meira Care's service is also terrible if you are wondering* I called again this morning and the prescription was apparently faxed - to the wrong pharmacy, so I was told it would be faxed again. A few hours later and the pharmacy still does not have my prescription so I call back. The lady on the phone was very rude, and not accommodating whatsoever considering they have had a week for a simple refill and have made mistake after mistake on their end. She said the best she could do was book me an appointment for the next day - which was too late as I needed the medication today. I was very patient and understanding throughout the week as I made multiple calls between the clinic and pharmacy. I totally understand how crazy everything is right now... but it is no excuse to treat your patients this way. So.... I've booked an online appointment with Appletree Medical Group ... been great so far! Had an appointment in less than 30 minutes and the prescription will be faxed immediately to my pharmacy.
They may be friendly but there was only 3 people here, had to wait an hour to get into an exam room and another 25 to see the doctor ...when I was told 20 minutes. Then the doctor didn't really know what to do so sat another 15 minutes as she read on the computer for a treatment. Then guessing at treament options suggested viral or an irrated eye?? Sent me with the suggestion of regular eye drops and benadryl. Their lack of confidence left me doubting and went the following day to an optometrist who said my eye was so inflamed that it was obvious I needed at least anti inflammatory drops. They found a solution. Experience and knowledge was definitely lacking and felt. If your not confident in diagnosising, recommend me to someone who does rather then cross your fingers and hope for the best. Also, this whole physician assitant thing doesn't work. Just a way for them prolonging their wait times. Their system is greatly flawed and long. I won't come back but wish you guys the best at ironing out the wrinkles so that things run more smoothly.
I love this clinic, considering how busy they are - receptionist are friendly, super efficient and quick. I've been looking for a DR for a while and they took me and my family in no problem. Dr. Singh really is amazing. It is hard to find doctors who truly care about your overall health, will listen and just want the best for you. I am super impressed!!
The only reason this clinic is getting a star is because of the receptionist. I don't want an apology bc that wont give me the time i wasted back. After about 2 hours, my kids and i went to get our prescriptions filled across the street only to realize the doctor prescribed my son the wrong dosage amount! Thank God the pharmacist caught that. The 'doctor' we saw seemed very unsure of herself and new. Not the best look for a new medical place.. Please please just go to your usual walk in or see your family physician.
After a month of being very unsuccessful with my own Doctor and the hospital, my Daughter & I were seen by Azmina this evening and she was very kind & thorough. Ensured I understood everything prescribed and why. My Daughter (2y) was a bit irritable with being sick and then having to be examine and Azmine was very gentle and patient with her. I am beyond grateful for finally being heard and having my Daughter treated & diagnosed properly. Brianne - who also works there - was super with my Daughter. Very sweet & friendly and helped make this visit bearable for my little one. I am very impressed & thankful with just how knowledgeable they both were. The cleanliness, professionalism & kindness offered here was truly outstanding! Most definitely 10/10 - I highly recommend!
Dr khawar was wonderful!!! Kind, thoughtful and understanding of patients suffering and needs. The faculty is clean and open the front staff friendly as well.
From out of town, went in at 1:30 Pm for a chest infection. Was rejected without reason, and with a valid health card. There was only 1 person in the waiting room when I entered. I asked for management, or a supervisor, receptionist could not reach OPS manager. They will be hearing from my lawyer. 58 year old with an OHIP card, no criminal record. no reason for the rejection. This is not over. I believe it is due to a negative google review back in June 2019.
I also feel for some of the complaints I have read, I too walked in after suffering from a sore throat, also double vaccines, no other symptoms, and was refused treatment, never in my life for all I have done for this country, would I think I would be denied medical service, felt like my debit card had been declined, no solutions were provided, so I left with my tail between my legs, called Telehealth, who advised I never should have been refused service. Suggested I go to another clinic which I did, got the service I required and my canker is healing nicely, like another person wrote covid is not the only medical issue in the world, if you are afraid of getting sick I suggest you leave the medical field and find a safe job in bubble wrap.
I am writing to complement the service my daughter received last week at the Scott St. MedCare Clinic in St. Catharines, ON. Your medical Assistant, Heather Carriere is an extremely valuable employee and she deserves recognition. When we arrived at the clinic, a child had vomited on the waiting room floor and Heather was in the middle of preparing the mop and bucket which she then proceeded to clean up the floor. At the same time she was apologizing for the delay, to the other clients waiting to be seen. She also acknowledged our arrival and assured us she would be with us shortly. She moved quickly and efficiently, while being compassionate to the mother and child. The rest of our visit was also quick and efficient. The following week I went to pick up 2 reports. She remembered my daughter and after a couple of blips, she went over and above to ensure that the reports were delivered. All along she was kind, polite and efficient. I worked as an RN for 30yrs so I understand the stressful setting Heather works in every day. I know how difficult it can be to keep your cool and still be compassionate. Ms. Carriere is an asset to your clinic and she is a shining example of how to treat human beings, especially when they are in a very stressful situation. Thank you Eileen and Claire Freel
Staff were polite, wait wasn't too long. However I only ever saw the physician assistant, they made me come in an extra time for no reason (already talked to him about same issue and they just needed to refer me elsewhere which they could have done without me there) and they sent me for bloodwork but forgot to give me the sheet with the test specific to my visit so I did extra bloodwork for nothing. I will not be returning or recommending.
Very unprofessional clinic, do not recommend. The owner is very rude and not accommodating at all. After calling at 7 from Niagara and asking if the doctor could see me, the receptionist said yes there is no one. After getting there 20 min later she refused to let me see doctor because it became busy and the doctor needs to leave early. Then they started to say we are being rude and we can’t come back. Will definitely not be coming back here!
Beautiful clinic and great doctor. I was attended to by Dr. Bag ( Sam) who works as a physician assistant. Went in to refill my medication which I have been taking for years. Have been to other walk in clinics and they spend 2 minutes and fill my script. He sat me down and was the first person to let me know why I should not be on this medication long term. I have never seen that. He genuinely cared. The receptionist was also very nice.
Iam absolutely livid and will be bringing this to the better business bureau and the media. Was denied medical attention for my son unless we could show a negative covid test!!!! I dont think this is legal in Canada especially denying a child. You are operating as a health care worker and denying patients. Disgusting.
I have had nothing but great service here. Azmina was great! Keep up the good work.
Called ahead about a serious sinus problem. Receptionist was very pleasant, both on the phone and in person. The Doctor seemed to immediately assess the situation, and prescribed medicine that worked. Wait time on a Friday evening was minimal. I was in and on my way within a half hour total.
AMAZING SERVICES!!! I’m very happy with my lab experience. I’ve gone in a few times before and Samantha the lab girl is very efficient, she’s always very welcoming and helpful. When I get blood work done, I’m always in and out (way faster than life labs). I highly recommend!!!!
Great staff and great doctors! Very friendly, knowledgeable amd caring! Can usually get you in same day if you're sick. Extended hours are great for people who work.
They only accept cash... during a viral pandemic. While literally everyone else is minimizing the use of cash during the covid pandemic to reduce the chance of spreading the virus, this WALK IN MEDICAL CLINIC ONLY takes CASH for payment. And they won't directly charge your benefits provider, so you have no choice. How is it that a Medical Clinic is ignoring commonly accepted practices to prevent the spread of the virus and is forcing their clients to potential exposure?!? Worst of all, they only tell you this at the end of your appointment, so if you want any documentation etc they won't give it to you until you give them the potentially virus-ridden cash. Talk about being tone deaf.
Useless place. What is the point of having hours, if you Close when you want. 40 mins before closing and the “doctor” is going on break before you close. Pathetic. Let me add: the wait time was 0 minutes, there was no one in the waiting room, and no signs of anyone in the back rooms as the “doctor” was standing in the doorway to the reception area “taking a break”. If you don’t want to see patients until 8PM then change your hours.
In January my husband, son and myself made a decision to change our doctor as we were not satisfied with the care we were receiving. Following a number of conversations with various medical offices, we settled on Scott Street Medical Center because of the staff we interacted with who were kind, caring and informative. The Physician Assistant we were extremely fortunate to have assigned to us was Azmina Atif. We went for an initial meet and greet with Azmina and were pleased beyond our expectations with Azmina. She is thorough, skilled, knowledgeable, kind, caring and has a great sense of humour. It is the first time in approximately 15 years that I do not feel anxiety in seeing a Doctor. We are so thrilled we decided to make the change and feel it is an added bonus for us that there is also a walk-in with very generous hours available to us seven (7) days a week. i would highly recommend this Medical Center and especially Azmina Atif. You will not be disappointed with the level of care.
I've been once for travel vaccinations and most recently on Sunday for a painful foot injury. Their Physician Assistant Azmina provided excellent and thorough care with a lovely bedside manner. She explained everything well including follow-up care. The receptionist is also great and their wait time was minimal during both visits.
Brought my 13 month old son in with low energy, cough, low appetite and saw the Physician Assistant Dr. Bag. He checked my son's oxygen level which was 91 (healthy levels are between 96 and 100) diagnosed him with an ear infection and croup. Dr. Bag prescribed an antibiotic and steroid medication. The next day my son was looking worse so we took him to the emergency room at NHS. They said he should have been sent to hospital directly from the walk in as soon as the doctor saw that his oxygen level was below 96! My son did not have croup - he had Respiratory syncytial virus which caused a case of bronchitis. I trusted Dr. Bag to know what signs to look for and provide guidance but instead it prolonged my son from getting the proper care he needed! I will not go back to this location again.
Azmina is an amazing PA she made my experience great.
We visited this place and after an hour of wait, the receptionist told me that you cannot see the doctor because you did not show up an appointment and you have to pay for that. We did not have any appointment. In fact, in this place appointment is worthless. The lady lose the orders of the patients and their health cards all over. The only reason we went there because it was Saturday afternoon and could not find any other open places. Moreover, the doctor was there and did not have any reaction. He did not bother to ask even what is the problem. The lady yelling at us and my two years son frightened. I cannot believe the receptionist yell at patient and doctor do not bother. My wife was pregnant and she throw us out of the clinic, never happens to me in 13 years of living in Canada. She keep yelling while I tried to talk with her calmly. The receptionist should be fired for her behavior and doctor should be questioned due to his ignorance. I do not know where I should complain, if you know please advise. This happened on Saturday, Jan 26, 2019 at around 4:30 pm.
Rude staff, always understaffed, absolutely no regard to social distancing or capacity limits as they allow their waiting room to fill to the max... just a terrible doctor's office. You're better off waiting in the ER then you are coming here.
Im sorry but when it comes to positions with Medcare , your likely not landing the ideal job. Always HIRING but never truly filling position. Then when all said and done , you signed employment contract and trained for 4 hours they never give you another shift or return a call . Who does that!
As always great attentive helpful doctors. The assistant doctor was a great help yesterday, with a referral. Thank you.
We have never had any issues with the staff or any of the doctors there, with the exception of the time my wife went for my daughter's first shots. Dr. Makendi was a very rude, full of attitude and has zero people skills. After waiting for over 45mim, instead of introducing himself he barged in and just said, "shots?!". Then proceeded to tell my wife to hold our 2 month old baby down and kept asking her to hold her down harder because she wasn't supposed to move at all! He then abruptly hands her some oral medicine, instructs her to give it to her at home and leaves. He did not take measurements, weight or anything else that other doctors have done in the past with our other 3 children. Unfortunately Dr Makendi (could be misspelling his name) works there 3 times per week. The other 3 doctors seem great, but because of this experience we may be looking into moving our entire family elsewhere, so we don't have to constantly play the lottery with who our kids get seen by. If this doctor leaves I will gladly change my review from 2 to 5 stars and keep taking my family of 6 to this clinic.
I have been a patient at the clinic for about a year now. I am very satisfied with the service from all of the physicians. My needs are always met and it is done with a smile. The reception is very welcoming and the facility is very cleanly.
Moving to St. Catharines for me was tough as it is but finding a Family Medicine Clinic was easy with the assistance of Scott Street Medical Centre being close by to me. I appreciate all the help the staff and doctors have provided to me. They are professional and care which is very important. Good Job Everyone! Keep up the good work!
Avoid coming to this clinic. I came into this clinic with abdominal pains. They asked for a urine sample, doctor told me that they will send it off to the lab. Days passed so I called in for the results only to find out the the urine sample was not sent. Went to the emergency only to find out that I had a urine infection that has spread to the kidneys and blood
I have recently moved to St Catharines from the GTA and needed a new family doctor. Through the city’s posting of family doctors accepting new patients I learned of Dr. Muhammad Khawar. My first visit was to schedule a cardiovascular echocardiogram for a heart condition I have, this was just to get a referral sent to a medical imaging lab and I would follow up with the doctor a few weeks later. I had followed up with the lab 6 weeks later to see how the process was and they informed myself it was faxed over to Dr Khawars office, in which I had to call to schedule a follow up. (I have never had to do this, all of my previous doctors have followed up with me) During my first initial visit with this family clinic, all I had felt from the doctor was being rushed and no genuine interest in my healthcare. They didn’t complete any preliminary tests such as blood pressure, medical history questions or confirmation of medications. Literally didn’t even acknowledge two questions I had asked and just continued writing notes about my visit. Printed my results, handed them to me, and walked away into another room to see another patient. I was absolutely appalled, I even still had questions related to another medical issue. This was the absolute lowest care for my well being I have received from a medical provider!! It’s very evident all they care about is administering medical care and reeling in the dollars. On my way out I was supposed to inquire as to if they were still accepting new patients for my spouse. I obviously did not, and I myself will not be returning to Dr Khawars office as a result of the most rude experience I have ever had at a doctors office.
Waiting room is very small and very packed, impossible to have any sort of social distancing.
