7 hours in emergency

(Translated) Just too long wait, just fire people if you don't want or don't have the staff to treat them .... EDIT: Seriously, shut down the service if it can't be serviced. After 10 hours of waiting still no news, if I had known at the beginning I would have gone elsewhere, so instead of wasting everyone's time and making people worse off, have the courage to just tell people to go their way! (I know that this is not the fault of the caregivers and staff on site, but that would be doctrinal choices to be made upstream in the hierarchy) (Original) Attente tout simplement trop longue, renvoyez simplement les gens si vous ne souhaitez pas ou n'avez pas le personnel pour les traîter....

(Translated) My wife waited over 12 hours for this "emergency". I knew the ER was overcrowded, but this one looks worse than the others.

(Translated) Very long waiting time for emergencies and no explanation from anyone ...

Fun fact: You can take a flight to an ER in LA and you'd see a doctor in less time than a Chum patient. I'm serious, Google it.

Kyla Lea

This hospital is amazing, staff is efficient, wait times are nil, I will always come here for emergencies from now on while it lasts

(Translated) I spent 5 hours in the emergency room just to talk to a doctor! What is the meaning of the word emergency in this case?

Saeedeh Moayedi Nia

Waited 6 hours in waiting room and an hour in emergency room and still no one sees us or even explained what is going on!

Nathan Price

I went here, it's a very modern emergency room with very helpful, respectful and competent nurses and doctors. But sometimes, the wait time is little long.

Al Blouin

I had a very nice stay even though I would not get used to it. Everyone has their own room. Everything is new so everything is great so far. The wait is lest long unless you have blood test.

(Translated) Ridiculous emergency wait time. (Original) Temps d’attente à l’urgence ridicule.

Excellent under demanding conditions! The virus makes its presence with constant renovation to bldg. Interior! Staff under stress. The mask communication problematic! Better days ahead!

(Translated) Arrival at 8:30 am and received at 6:00 pm ... Originally sent by the clinic to do an ultrasound ... I had to have a scan because they had "lost" their ultrasound machine. The waiting time is long, I do not understand that they do not put in place a system that can inform you approximately when you are going to pass. I understand that there are degrees of urgency that are different but you wait indefinitely to be called and if you miss your name it is missed for you ... Moreover it saturates the place in the emergency room. My case was not the most serious if I had known that I was passing at the end of the day, I would have liked to have been warned at least ... Once you are called to be taken care of, be patient again ... you are made to wait in a room or on a chair ... you wait for an hour again. Subsequently, what I deplored is the lack of notification of the staff on the situation with regard to me. I didn't know that in the next few hours I wasn't going to be able to eat because I would have to have a scan. Except that nobody saw fit to inform me. Thinking that the exams were going to be done quickly, I didn't eat anything. When I inquired about whether I could eat, they did not answer me the first time. And the second time either (2 hours later) I was told no, except that in the meantime they took blood. My head was spinning. I had to go and ask several times what was happening with my situation, to know what I was finally waiting for ... because I did not even know why I was waiting so ... So that already you have the impression that it is interminable, you worry about your situation and you are exhausted without taking the trouble to give you food or drink. Finally, I left around midnight 15 for an exam, 1 blood test, 2 urine tests and a scan. I understand that the hospital is understaffed, that the situation is demanding, but the system put in place for emergencies is chaotic and needs to be reviewed.

Came at 4 pm and now it’s past midnight. 8 hrs and still waiting. Really long waiting times. They should tell average wait times so people can decide if it’s worthy to wait this long.

(Translated) Reasonable waiting time. Total of 7 hours to have a diagnosis after taking a Scan on Easter Day. Very courteous staff and doctor. Only downside: people with psychiatric problems who were causing a mess in the waiting room. (Original) Temps d'attente raisonnable.

(Translated) Disappointed! The worst experience of my life !!!!! I almost died in the waiting room for 7 hours (knowing that I was hospitalized by an ambulance because I was unconscious) !! I understand the mess and the stress you are going through during this Covid period, but it still makes a difference! And then, after 24 hours spent in an emergency to see a surgeon, I was dismissed for 3 days later because there was no surgeon just a general practitioner !!!! I left the ER with bleeding and couldn't even walk, without even having assistance or a doctor's report to see what I had! In short, if you have something serious and you can't wait, don't go there, you risk your lives!
