Only in Portage! Doctor suggests stopping medical treatment and starting end of life care for parent. Next day find out this was in error. Management states this is not a screwup. Management said doctor did not read complete report and was being cautious! Really, this management thinks this is okay! Time for new management team. This is not the 1920's.

Every time I come in for testing (ie blood), the staff are always helpful and pleasant. Never had a problem, they are very professional and attentive.

Long waiting times, not great drs. I have to take extra time off because my stitches were done incorrectly and were taken out by the dr too soon. Went in tonight because 2/3 cuts broke open and we’re bleeding very badly. Was told by the nurse to wash in hot water and that there wasn’t any blood even though I had bled through multiple gauze. My boyfriend went in once after he was stabbed multiple times, lost a lot of blood because he had to wait four hours in the waiting room. The only reason he got in was because his police officer demanded the nurses take him in to stitch him up. I have many other horror stories but to sum this all up, it’s a horrible excuse for a hospital.

ER was busy though they checked on every one waiting regularly. As always Nurse and Doctors were great.

Brought our son in for routine hearing testing. The audiologist was wonderful. Very patient and kind with him, very competent, personable, knowledgeable. We don't have experience with the emergency department, but our experience with audiology was very positive. Thank you

Went in for a Functional endoscopic sinus surgery. Although the waiting list was long (about 1 year), we recieved excellent treatment and the staff were very professional and knowledgeable. Dr. Gousseau did an excellent job.

Excellent staff, my Dad spent a week at PGH with Alzheimer's related issues, and the staff was great, especially nurse Dan and Nurse Erin!

Worst service ever.I had to do my GTT twice because of the ignorance of the staffs there.They asked me to do it the third time and I refused.I did the fasting for 14 hours and spent almost three hours in the lab with my two kids. The staffs need to know what they are doing and have to be knowledgable.They need to hire some experienced staffs.

Terrible experience every time same questions over and over again. Waiting for hours while doctors and nurses chit chat behind there big desk about sports and how cute their kitty is. This is supposed to be a hospital not a convension. Literally a bunch of wanna be and has been doctors and nurses. Drive to Winnipeg if you have a choice.

The staff was very friendly and kind, got the care I needed from the nurses. My procedure went very well with Dr. Ross. Overall, very impressed.

Waited 3 hrs with an infant in pain (internal illness) while they treated adults with superficial injuries. Had to leave to feed/put to sleep. I understand the concept of triage, but come on. 20 mins is all we needed, they treated everyone (save one) in the waiting room before us. That includes those who entered after. Why do I even pay taxes when an infant can't even see a doctor in the ER? Disappointed ????

Waiting time is horrible long. Hire more nurses and doctors so you can serve right. The staff could be more friendly as well.

Lived in Portage over 20 years. The folks here always work hard for their patients. Only knock on the place is it needs a larger emergency area. Hopefully the new one will have the extra room

I accessed the Emergency Room. I was in, treated, and on my way home within two hours! All staff, nurses, and doctor were fantastic. I saw one review here that mentioned how they kept being asked the same questions. I too was asked the same questions by each nurse and the doctor but I took this as each person verifying their colleagues' work so I didnt mind at all. Plus when they were asking questions they were figuring out how to help me so again I didnt mind at all.
