Trust your mother instinct!! Went there last Monday (May 13, 2019) because my son is having a fever for 7 days already. He was seen by a lady doctor and she said that it is just a virus and it will pass. She didnt even suggested to have further examination. My wife talked to her and told her that she want further exam but the doctor said it will probably end up negative. We didnt trust her so we went straight to our family doctor and was adviced to get xray and blood test right away. It turns out that our son have pneumonia. I am so relieved that we never trusted what that lady doctor from HSC, she is really bad.

I brought my 4 month old daughter to be seen because her, myself and my husband all have covid. My daughter had a high fever, bark like cough, congestion and over all miserable. I brought her in and they admitted her right away. The nurse staff was kind and gentle while they examined her and took her temperature, speaking to her happily and rocking her to calm her down as she screamed. A doctor (I'll call him Dr. B) was positive and tender with her, informed me what I needed to do to help her feel better, and administered some medicine for croup to help with the barking cough. Within a few hours she slept solid during the night and we all got some rest. I was really happy we were admitted so quickly, probably because we had covid and because she was extremely vocal and screaming nonstop. We were at the hospital a total of 1.5 hours before coming home. Thank you for helping my daughter recovery! I will never forget it!

You have to prepare yourself to spend long time here. Even if you are here for normal checkups.

The waiting times are catastrophic and I understand people's frustrations... most of us go to an emergency room at the worst, most vulnerable times of our lives. But the problems are administrative and political; I've always found the staff to be of the best quality, through two kids' worth of visits, given the circumstances they are faced with.

Ok, so I can understand a waiting lost of 5h+ for adults... but our little ones don't deserve it. Where are the huge money we pay for property taxes going to?

Wish I can give them 0 star it’s not emergency just the hospital name is emergency the staff is very lazy no one care about you or your children

Absolutely terrible, the staff should not be in Healthcare especially dealing with children.

If there was an option for no stars that will be my review. Today I was there with my new born (5days old). We went in as baby had fresh blood With her stool. They had us waiting for more than 2 hours to get checked in.After no one came to check on baby we asked how long would be for us to be seen, a nurse In a brute way said “Well it will take up to 6 hours for you to bee seen but we will come check baby later”. We couldn’t believe that no one came to check on a new born. This system sucks. How can they leave new borns and kids waiting to be seen on the emergency room.

If i could give zero stars i would. My little one 10 months old, we went in not once but 3 times only to be told she was having an asthma attack each time. The drs or should i say residents, kept shrugging it off as asthma. After the third visit there i was at a loss as to what to do as her health was deteriorating. she was very sick and each time they sent us home no test no nothing. The drs there dont listen and are in my opinion very lazy! i demanded an xray to see her chest yet they denied me saying it was to "extensive". Im sorry how extensive does it have to be? Even the nurse taking my babies vitals and temp (103 degrees) knew there was something brewing and suggested i see her pediatrician asap as the residents there wont listen. I went to my childs pediatrician the next morning and right away he ordered a chest xray. Turns out that my 10 month old had bilateral pneumonia!! Childrens emergency is a sad excuse for a hospital. And it disgusts me that they missed this. Im just glad the nurse heard me and gave me some sound advice.. if you can avoid this hospital and see your pedestrian instead do that! Our experience was horrid.

We came at 10pm with a 3 hour wait and at 4am still waiting to be looked at. Were just told it's a busy night and only 1 doctor working. Absolutelly terrible.

The doctor was scary and rude. The doctor was desperately screaming at me and my child, wasn't listening to me about my child's symptoms at all. He was with us for less than a minute after 2 hours waiting. I feel terrible for the very few staff who actually want to help. Hope I could give less than 1 star!

i have no words how low grade people they r .its not emergency its waiting ...only

My 10 month old daughter randomly came down with a 103° fever. I brought her into the emergency, she had diharrea, wouldn't eat, overly clingy, was seizing in her sleep from high fever, crying constantly, sleeping constantly but I couldn't put her down in her crib. The receptionist basically diagnoses my baby in waiting room saying eh just a cold, she's getting oxygen. I wait 2 hours which i have no problem with since i'm going to get my baby help. I go in. Get told oh just wait it out, it's a stomach bug. Treat the baby not the fever. Yeah my baby is acting weird, you know she's only been with me for 10 months, i wouldn't bring her in if she wasn't acting strange. To the emergency none the less. They look in both ears and specifically make a comment that 'it's red from crying' just the one ear. Come back in 3 days if fever doesnt go away. So I wait 3 days. No better End up going to a walk in on fifth day. Now my kids throwing up breast milk and water. Yeah got worse. Ear infection. In the ear that was 'red from crying'. Antibiotics required. Ear infections are caused by the same bacteria that can affect the gastrointestinal tract don't ya know. Extremely disappointed. They seemed to care for the other children though. So maybe it was just because my child wasn't enough of an 'emergency' but i wish i had gone to the walk in instead of them.

I recommend you please not to take your child to this hospital if you are in emergency. This hospital has a name emergency which the doctors have forgotten..they are v.lazy and needs a lot to learn. It took me whole night to visit a doctor. Its better you die home peacefully.
