Left 5 messages for a call back to book a follow up for my husband. He was due for a follow up with internist Dr. Perusse in July, no one called. His meds were only prescribed for 6 months and now they are finished. The pharmacist at Jean Coutu as well called the hospital for a follow up and they gave the pharmacist attitude because she was calling on a Saturday, they said we see a note for follow up in July but they forgot, they gave her a number for me to call back on the Monday. I called the number on the Monday and got attitude as well and they transferred to this doctor's secretary, another voicemail box, left yet another a voice message and still no call back!! Do we show up in person?? Unacceptable!!

Bad experience during my heart surgery, most of them (including nurses) can sometimes only communicate in French and this is really hard for English speaking patients. Naturally nurses cannot explain properly in english what they are doing / giving to you!! I know this is a common scenario in Quebec, but as a health institution, absolutely not acceptable. Also I left couple of messages to followups with doctor, I don't know why no one replied back! Might be because of English message they don't understand !!! Don't take it light, a heart patient could require advice from the doctor after surgery anytime and this is a responsibility for the institution to call back.I called the ext 2522 and its always goes to voice message to left messages but no one replied back! Royal Victoria is far more better than this. Not recommend this hospital until you have no options left! Two stars from me only for doctors, they are good fortunately.

I got up to ask the two technicians at the triage to find out if they forgot me that it's not normal, that I feel my heart hurting, then that I had a respiratory problem in less than 24 hours, they answered me that I was not important and that my discomfort has passed last night not now with an arrogance to a point that the other patients have heard, in my anger I decided to leave, I felt that they were denying my situation and that I came for fun. A patient who was next to me was really disappointed to see me leave because he was next to me and then he saw me in pain. I know hospitals don't care about young people because he thinks we all take drugs and then alcohol, but frankly not all young people are like that. They classified me as level 5 which means really not important, that's why everyone passed in front of me. I'm at home with the same sickness. Lucky that I have a family doctor who takes me tomorrow morning first hour to take several tests. Too bad our health staff are more concerned with their checks than sick people, then you don't worry, as soon as I have the results I will show up there to show them. Je me suis réveiller par douleur avec un serrement intense au coeur et c'est là que je me suis dit je connais mon corps, ce n'est pas normal, puis ma famille avait peur pour moi. Je me suis présenter à l'institut de cardiologie vers 11h... rendu 3h30 on ne m'a jamais servi, j'ai vu passer tout le monde devant moi.. tellement d'autres patients dans la salle d'attente mon approcher pour me demander si j'était correct et que ce n'est pas normal qu'il me voit encore la entrain de souffrir. Je me suis lever pour demander au deux techniciennes au triage pour savoir s'elles m'ont oublié que c'est pas normal, que je sens mon coeur me faire mal, puis que j'ai eu en moins de 24h un problème respiratoire, elles m'ont répondu que je n'étais pas important et que mon malaise c'est passé hier soir pas maintenant avec une arrogance à un point que le autres patients ont entendu, dans ma colère j'ai décidé de quitter, je me suis senti qu'elles niaisait ma situation et que je suis venue pour le fun. Un patient qui était à côté de moi était vraiment déçu de me voir quitter parce qu'il était à côté de moi puis il me voyait souffrir. Je sais que les hôpitaux s'en fou des jeunes parce qu'il pense qu'on prend toute de la drogue puis de l'alcool, mais franchement ce n'est pas tous les jeunes qui sont comme ça. Ils m'ont classer niveau 5 qui veut dire vraiment pas important, c'est pour ça que tout le monde passait devant moi.Je suis à la maison avec le même mal au coeur. Un chance que j'ai un médecin de famille qui me prend demain matin première heure pour passer plusieurs tests. Dommage que notre personnel de santé se préoccupe plus de leurs chèques que des malades puis inquièter vous pas, dès que j'ai les résultats je vais me présentée là bas pour leur montrer. Pour ma part mauvaise expérience des techniciennes qui ont à la minute rient de ma situation tandis que mon corps et info santé m'ont dit que c'était une urgence !!!!!!!!
