OMG .. Monday September 9th.. was a bad day in the ER here.. the waiting period to get stitches on my friends forehead was more than 10 hours 10 HOURS MAN... OMG.. I think something needs to be done about this, im not saying they are bad, the service is excellent and everyone is so nice, helpful and apologetic But it takes forever to get a turn..

I got here around past 7 to complains I'm having signs of stroke. I was surprised that everyone that came after me were called in and I was left there doing nothing and worried. 4 hours sitting and I got up to ask why everyone was been attended to except me , and I was told told it depends on how serious the case is. But there was a guy who was even listening to music and still was called in then I became mad, and immediately they asked me in and kept me in the consulting room for 2 hours noone to attend to me then I had to leave. Very unpleasant experience. Zero star for them

I had a great experience today. Everyone from the receptionist to triage nurse to the doctor (I think Hosseni?) ,the US tech and patient transfer ppl,and the nurse that made this experience really great (?Damien). Thank you all so much you are all amazing. I was in and out in 3 hours. Got IV antibiotics and got an ultrasound and a referral to a clinic.

I was so impressed with the professionalism and positive attitudes of staff despite the full waiting room of frustrated, sick patrons. The wait time is horrendous, but that’s not their fault. We waited over 8 hours, but we’re given a private room to nurse our baby and felt like they really cared. We overheard a doctor talking to two people in withdrawal from fentanyl and I was so surprised by his genuine compassion and non-judgemental approach. I can honestly say that even though we repeated our issue to 2 nurses, 2 doctors, and the receptionists, each one listened attentively and tried their best to help. Hopefully funding will come through to help staff this clearly overwhelmed ER.

Sad and disappointed, Got there around 8pm, went through Triage in about 10 minutes; was called to see the doctor at 3am, waited one more hour just for the doctor to tell me to take naproxen or tylenol and to come back if there was not changes about my pain, he didn't do any physical examination... For a monent I felt like I was in a third world country.

Worst experience in my life! Don't come here if you want some care. Waiting time over 7-8 hrs and nothing done! They care about the homeless first instead of the sick people who pays lot's of taxes.

My dad received the worst treatment at Emerg. Thanks for giving a palliative care patient a horrible experience. Heaven forbid they provide support for his breathing or anxiety.

They don't help with anything. I had to sleep curled up on 2 chairs before being seen. After over 12hours waiting for help from cancer and back pains they still didn't tell me about any of my medical problems. Witch is against human right in Canada if u ask for medical info u must be told by the medical professional not by someone saying they had the problem instead of u.

They treat mental health patients like complete garbage and do not help almost like they want to get rid of them and not deal with the situation even when someone is claiming suicide they will make them wait in the waiting room for hours until the point where they don't even want to get the help anymore because they don't believe they're going to get the help when admitted it is completely overcrowded and graffiti so disappointed in the mental health system they have and the emergency room is always overcrowded and they barely help I'm so disappointed in this Hospital what is going on when people need help this is the place they're supposed to go and don't receive it.

Over a week ago, I ended up in the ER and I was extremely impressed by all the staff from intake, to the porters, nurses, and physicians. It was extremely busy and yet everyone was kind and professional. Taking time to ensure I understood what was going on. Thank-you ER staff for your compassionate care.

5 hours so far. Edit: 7 hours now... Giving it two stars cause free wifi in the waiting room is pretty unheard of and the staff were pretty nice. My foot accidentally touched some other dude's foot and he flipped out and tried to hit me but security got on it quick as well. 7 hours from 9pm-5am is absolutely insane though. We were there the longest out of everybody and they were still calling people that got here after us many many times. I saw the room refresh probably 3 times easily. Very strange. Managed to finish an entire season of a show!

On Dec 5 Sat. i had to go to emergency i had probloms with my bowels <> I would like to thank the docker and 3 nurse's that took good care of me in emergency <> If I every had to go back to emergency i would like them again THANK YOU MERRY CHRISTMAS TO everyone at VIC HOSP.

Had back and abdominal pain. Knowing I had An aneurism from another visit. Tests were done,bloodwork showed pancreatitis and put on clear liquids. On the whole I received good care, although a nurse, Emily was very rude and I was in so much pain and spoke my mind to her that her bedside manner was mean. Hopefully not too many others had to deal with this nurse. Informed her I was going to bring it to the hospitals attention. Two other nurses advised me to do so. I was looked after great otherwise.

Arrived at the Emergency Department in distress. Was seen promptly by an E.R. doctor. Had tests done and received treatment in a kind, respectful manner. Was so pleased that during this pandemic, the care I received was first rate. Thanx to the Emergency departments Drs. and nurses.

Would give zero stars if I could. My wife who suffers from hypertension was in here with extremely high blood pressure and was in crisis. She had to have blood tests done as well as an EKG. The doctor was incredibly unprofessional. A he did was give medicine for a headache, and refused to share results of her blood tests or recommendations. He berated her for not having a family doctor, and at one point used the phrase "and what do you expect me to do". Completely unacceptable. Does the hippocratic oath mean nothing? This feels like borderline malpractice, and I am considering submitting a complaint to the ministry of health about the overall experience here.
