I've taken my dog to other vets but at Central Langley Pet Hospital they treat my dog as if she was a member of their family! They're very caring and I appreciate that very much and so does my dog.
We’ve been bringing our dogs here for years in fact when we lived in Squamish, we made the trek all the way to langley. Why? Because their passion and service is unparalleled. Our husky is a very easy patient while our rescue mix has severe fear aggression and is almost feral while at the vet. I hate bringing him because I feel bad for putting the ladies through having to deal with him, but they are amazing! We have modified and adopted ways to physically examine him and although they say he’s not the worst they've seen, it takes very special people to treat every animal according to their own comfort/fear levels. I have never once felt inconveniencing or mistreated in any way. I only trust the vets here to handle our dogs in any given situation.
Anita and all the staff are always amazing my dog is incredibly fearful of being handled and it’s always an easy experience for him here as everyone goes to whatever length it takes to make him comfortable we have been going to them since he was a baby and we have always loved the experience at Central Langley vet highly recommend especially if your pet has fear of vets !❤️
The staff here does an outstanding job. They're great with my dog, and know exactly how to put him at ease during visits. I know he's in extremely capable hands here, and receiving the best treatment possible.
The staff here is amazing, always very friendly. They love pets, and make us feel super special every visit.
I adopted an adult dog back in January and I’m so glad I was recommended to bring Shera here. The staff are all so friendly and kind. Shera was underweight, needed some vaccines and was recommended some tests to get a baseline of her health and check for some concerns. Her vet was even knowledgeable about what illnesses would be a risk from where she came from (Iran). I really like how they we go over all the recommendations, what is of most importance, and what each thing costs (with no judgement if you want to/need to hold off on a few extras). They do follow up calls to see how meds are working. And if you forget to call back they’ll try again in a day or two. So happy my princess is in the care of such a lovely team <3
CLPH has cared for our pets for 10 years with professionalism, compassion and diligence. Even though we now live a bit further away, we continue as clients.
I felt like the staff at Central Langley Pet Hospital have done a great job of helping me navigate through raising a kitten for the first time. They took their time in offering advice with any health and behaviour concerns, never making me feel like my questions were silly. And when my kitten caught an infection, they were quick to take us in and offer the best care they could to get him healthy again. I've never felt like "just another customer" going here, as the staff members always remember both me and my kitten -- even with social distancing in effect! As I was new to the area when I got my kitten, I wasn't entirely sure which vet to choose... but I feel like I made the right choice choosing CLPH!
*I reduced my stars because of the treatment I have received since this post. My puppy got bit by another dog at a dog park and was bleeding from her paws; as I just needed a bandage and was concerned about infection I called CLPH (they are close to where I live) and Anita, who has always been fantastic, made a spot for me. On the way there I got a call, from what I assume was the owner I have never met after going there for 15+ years, and she was extremely rude to me on the phone saying things like "You should have thought about emergencies before you made that review." And "If you think so terribly of us, you shouldn't risk coming here with your dog." I did not take kindly to the threat and also didn't appreciate that they waited until I was upset and concerned to address my review, I would have spoken honestly and respectfully to whoever from the practice about my experiences. Instead I went to the emergency hospital (who charged me $100.00 extra dollars for a walk in fee) and was treated great to the point I didn't mind paying the extra fee. Also to get my records from them for all my pets I had to pay a fee because they didn't have the technology to 'email' and apparently refused to fax my records to my new vet when they asked, I had to scan the ones I had at home and send to them. Not impressed. *************************************************************************** Original Post: I have been going to this vet for 15+ years with multiple family pets. A long while ago they had a variety of vets who were amazing and caring. Their other staff have been great and friendly. However more recently I have found since having my first dog on my own the level of care from Dr. Gibson specifically has declined. Our chocolate lab is an English style lab so her build is shorter and stockier however for 11 years old she is still running and energetic, totally in shape, but every time I take her in for a check up I am shamed for 'over feeding' her when for the last five years she has followed the amount of food they originally suggested. She is happy and healthy which should be the ultimate priority. As for my puppy, who is now 1, she is a collie mix which are notoriously smart and anxious. Dr. Gibson's first instinct when dealing with her anxiety is to not engage with her and medicate her instead. As a responsible dog-owner I have worked with multiple trainers, including a behaviorist, who all say that she responds to positive energy, not fear. Again when sharing this with Dr. Gibson she refuses to listen to me and instead lectures me and I leave feeling like a terrible owner. My dogs are my life and they are treated extremely well and I don't appreciate feeling anything but. I have chosen to switch vets for this reason which breaks my heart because we are all known here and our beloved black lab passed away in one of their rooms but I can't subject the fur babies we have now to this negative environment any longer.
I absolutely love Central Langley Pet Hospital. They are so personable, they get to know you, they know your pet, it's obvious that they know my dogs file, they know her by name when we walk in, and that's a good feeling.
Took my cats into this hospital for shots and they NEVER informed me about charging me an examination fee. I didn't know until I had to pay and I was wondering why it was so expensive. I wouldn't recommend going to this hospital.
They have a very caring attitude here. Its apparent that everyone on the staff has a great concern for the welfare of their patients. When you walk in, it feels more like a family, rather than a stuffy business atmosphere.
Extremely rude over the phone when I was asking if they carried a certain dog medicine. Basically hung up on me before I was even done talking.
The staff at Central Langley Pet Hospital are absolutely fantastic. We're in there quite frequently, my dog had kennel cough, they took him in right away, without having to make an appointment and they brought him to a room all by himself, they were great. They've also treated him for a skin rash and it cleared right up. They always check in to see how he is doing. Just a wonderful, caring staff.
Staff is so nice and helpful. CLPH is a bit more money than other places but my dog loves the staff and my family has taken pets there for years and have had the best service. You guys are amazing and Harley loves to come visit you guys :)
Says open at 9am Saturday, really open at 10am Can't buy any of their cat food at the main store register in PetSmart
These guys have been working non stop through Covid and have to say I always get great conversations and smiles! These guys truly love their job and really care about our pets. Thank you for being open during this time and helping all the endless pets like you do!
The staff are always caring and compassionate to our every day needs as well as the sudden onset of an emergency . We moved to Abbotsford 3 years ago and did not look for another veterinary hospital as we trust all the staff and their high level of care that we have experienced in Buddy’s visits over the years!????
Loki was given the best care and attention when I brought him in. Mariah was just a Godsent when I called and was so upset. Due to Covid-19 I couldn't go in but his exam went well. I truly thought that this was the end for Loki but am grateful that it was not. It's a bit of a drive to get here but well worth it. Our follow-up appt today I was able to come in. Loki is getting the best care ???? Thank you ????
Amazing and very kind staff. Been going there for years and I love how they treat my cat. Very professional. Highly recommend!
boots and i have been to visit 3 times now and find everyone very welcoming very caring and informative would recommend to anyone
Staff are great and caring. We have been with them for over 15 years and think they are the best! Must be the great doggy treats ????
This place is a total joke. Their prices are three times the rates of other vets in the area. My senior dog has suffered from allergies his entire life and they kept pushing blood tests, scans, etc. After spending almost $1000 for visits, antibioitics, shampoos, etc. nothing changed. He's a senior dog for godsakes. They also wanted to charge me $350 for a basic neuter for my puppy. I got it done for $105. 34 at 186 Street Vet Clinic.
We have been bringing our dogs here for several years and have always found it a friendly, caring and professional environment. They helped us through the loss of a beloved dog and have embraced our newest family member. They have always demonstrated genuine empathy and concern and we believe she is in great hands here.
THANK YOU Central Langley for being open in the mist of all this crazyness. I called several places and no one had my dog food, and they were not accepting new clients. Just buying food not wanting my pet to be seen. Went into the clinic bit of a process but do appreciate this especially with everything going on around us. Not to mention it was nice to have a giggle and smile with my purchase. Kramer, my buddy in crime thanks you as well!
I would never go back here again. The people here are friendly, but that's where the positives end. I went into this clinic with a healthy indoor only kitten just hoping to get information on immunizations and spaying her. I came out with almost $1300 in quotes for our next two visits including my current visit. They literally threw every type of procedure, immunization, and blood test at me for her. They even recommended my indoor only cat be immunized for rabbis, "just in case an infected bat were to fly into my home and attack her." After the doctor listed I'm sure everything she could possible think of I asked her what these things would cost me. She told me that "if finances are an issue, she would get her assistant to write me up some quotes." I love my cat but I'm not the type of person who is ok with spending this much money on an animal that has nothing wrong with it. Not only that but just walking through the door is a $68 charge that was charged on all of the appointments I was quoted on the paperwork given to me. I've been charged for visits with other animals, but never more that $40. If money is not an issue and you don't mind being hosed, then I highly recommend this place, everyone is always smiling.
The staff at Central Langley Pet Hospital are kind, professional and knowledgable. I was unsure about dropping off my dog, who is nervous of new people, during COVID-19 and not being able to be by her side. But the staff went at my dog's pace and gave lots of treats to make it a postive experience for her. The staff always take the time to explain how she did and even keep a record of what treats are her favorite : )
The vets are excellent and are able to manage my very fearful dog. I could never take my dog elsewhere. These doctors are precise in giving instructions for home care and explain everything in detail.
Dr Nina and Dr Gibson were fantastic for medical and emotional support for my dying cat with cancer. Caring, reasonable prices, I highly recommend this hospital for pet support... and they can accomidate on the weekend.
As I have said before Murphy loves going to the Vet...he tugs on his leash to get in faster. Murphy is only 1 1/2 yrs and this is his 3rd Vet as the first 2 were not the greatest. So I listened to Murphy's preference and have been going to Central Langley Pet Hospital ever since.
I have found the central Langley pet Hospital a very kind and caring place to bring my family member. I cannot say enough about them , they are so gentle with my dog. The staff is very pleasant! Very professional and know their job well. They have done a great job of keeping my dog healthy over the years, even one time when I had to get him in for his eyesight they had it solved within an hour. Stitch is 12 years old doing exceptional . I recommend them highly. Paul......and stitch. ????
awesome staff! Although I figure they do some unnecessary examinations and charge money. Other than that, they have great staffs and Dr. Gibson is by far the greatest vet I have met.
My parents have been coming here for a few years and just love the attention to detail they put into their work day. Love the pets names on the door and their fear free philosophy. Love how they asked about giving our pets peanut butter and cheese wizz to help them feel more comfortable! My parents did not know how to do a google review so I did it for them.
We recently brought our cat to Dr. Kelly and Bobby and they were amazing with him! The care and the attention they gave us was beyond anything we have ever experienced before. We are so happy with the turnaround Loki has had and we highly recommend them to anyone. Bobby was so caring and paid such wonderful attention not only to Loki but to us as well. Dr. McIvor was so detailed in her examination of Loki and took the time to really put our minds at ease. Highly recommend these two ladies!
Love this place, they took such good care of my dog considering she is so scared to come in. All the staff are great and they even called to follow up with us to make sure she was doing well after her vaccines. So impressed will recommend these guys to everyone. Thanks Central Langley Pet Hospital you guys truly care about of pets!
This place is a ABSOLUTE JOKE DONT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!! First of all they force you to Nuder your pets and are so pushy (obviously when it's 350-450$ yet we were quoted 500$ for a small Pom lol) regardless we used this vet for over year and half now, yesterday my wife bought a bag of our regular dog food for our 2 year old Poneranian, we are well known here, lady at the counter always says "don't worry if you're pet doesn't like it bring it back exchange it it's not a issue we see you guys every week or 2 weeks" . So my wife comes home by accident buying The biggest size pebbles for our small dog couldn't even eat it let alone didn't give us a receipt which was GIVEN TO HER BY THE EMPLOYEE SAYING THIS IS THE BAG YOU NEED. Next morning brought the bag back just looking to exchange same brand for a smaller kibble opened but nothing takin out. Different lady says "absolutely no way that's happening" manager said same thing and not even kindly just absolutely rude about it. They are all about making the sale, they'll tell you that a return is okay with or with out receipt, then once you buy it game over, tried making me buy another 50$ bag of food rather than exchanging like we weRe told originally wasn't an issue. Cancelled my services here, I will be sure to let every single person with pets know this place is a bunch of SCAMMERS
Due to limited patients being allowed at our regular vet office during covid, we were recommended to go here for an emergency for our 13 year old lab. They were able to fit us in on short notice. They were wonderful, he could hardly walk so we had to put him in a wagon to get him in and they helped him get in and out. They took great care of him and asked before proceeding with further testing and gave us quotes before going ahead. Both the vets and the staff called us every couple of days to check in on his progress, at one point we weren’t sure he was going to make it, and they were so compassionate towards us regarding that. He ended up perking up and feeling better, and we discussed his care with our current vet and she agreed with everything done at this clinic as well. We were so happy with the care here. Everyone was so friendly and you could tell they really cared about our dogs wellbeing. Im glad to say our boy is on the mend in large thanks to this clinic.
Dr. Gibson is an excellent veterinarian. She understands our dogs and gives very good advice and treatment. I recommend her frequently and drive all the way out to Langley to be sure our dogs have the best veterinary care.
My boyfriend and I travel so far just to come to this vet. They really care about your pet , its not just about the money like most other places .
I just bought dog food at this vet office for the first and last time. The brunette woman (cashier) was very rude. I didn't really respond to her but just left feeling a bit stunned by her words and tone. The other young lighter haired girl on the floor was very friendly and helpful and I appreciated that she seemed to want to lessen the awkwardness. Unfortunately the cashier's attitude towards me was enough to prevent me from wanting to step foot in here again either for dog food or to check out this vet in the future.
