What a wonderful place to be when having cancer and especially for the first time . It starts from entering the 4th floor from the elevator opens directly to the welcoming reception that makes my tension goes away , to the very elegant, clean , quiet environment like a five star hotel. Then comes the professional nurses who made me very comfortable and understanding the treatment program very well and supporting me when I was overwhelmed. I am very grateful to the radiology team who did my biopsies . Cindy too my surgeon secretary who was very patient with my calls . Also much more grateful to Doctor Gay the surgeon who cured my breast cancer mass plus healed my phobia from surgery and other procedures with his professional patient education and encouragement. Keep up the excellent work , without your support we cannot survive.

I can't say enough good things about the Cancer Centre at the Ottawa Hospital, General Campus. The staff are all amazing, from the oncologists to the nurses to the lab technicians to the volunteers. They are very knowledgeable and compassionate and they always take the time to answer questions and to explain and make sure you understand and treatments or procedures you are ongoing. Being diagnosed with and treated for cancer is never a pleasant process but the staff at the Cancer Centre do their utmost to make it as tolerable as it can be, even with all the COVID-19 restrictions. I feel blessed with my overall medical team in Ottawa and especially with my oncologist Dr. Goodwin and all of the nursing staff at the Cancer Centre. They are heroes.

Easy to locate and nurses and staff are very helpful. Only complaint is the issue with paying for parking. They only take credit cards.

The cancer doctor my daughter saw was the best! The surgery he did is difficult and rare but he succeeded and got every bit of cancer removed. Without the wonderful doctors and staff our daughter would not be cancer free today. They are the best! Thank you to all!

Best care anywhere. Difficult to get through on the phone but that is the worst thing I can say. I have been impressed with the quality of care and professionalism of all the staff members with whom I have interacted. The reception staff are efficient, the blood draws are painless, the nursing staff are caring and the doctors are knowledgeable and experienced. Really couldn't ask for better as a patient in a stressful and potentially life ending situation.

My mom faces stage four breast cancer. Her caregivers and doctors are compassionate and caring. She’s only been there twice so far, but covid screeners at the door remembered us and used her name, she has already formed relationships with staff members and that helps so much to help us feel at ease.

I'm astonished that this centre got 5 stars.... especially since only one nurse in your whole staff is trained in assisting cancer patients with bladder cancer in helping them with their draining tubes, and you make that patient wait cause you have no staff and they wait so long they get infected... and then the fluid moves to their lungs which also now has cancer. You people are literally killing my sister! No one should go to this hospital... no one!

Dr. Laurie has been my oncologist for 11yrs. He has been referred to as a quarterback. I am fortunate to have this exceptionally skilled, hard-working, caring doctor. In general, the members of the Centre continue to provide great care, in face of great demand.

Two and one half years ago I had Stage 3 Lung Cancer, I was treated at Grand River Regional Cancer Centre and I have to say that every person I met, from the volunteers right up through the Oncologists were absolutely marvellous, they couldn't have treated me better. After going through Radiation and Chemotherapy, I am now clear. I want to thank everyone at the Cancer Centre for all they did for me.

My father has attended the cancer clinic for the past 6 months. We knew his outcome was set in stone but they still continue to treat him with the greatest care and respect. Dr. Valdez is always kind and compassionate. I'm a nurse and have delt with many doctors and he is one of the best!!! I couldn't be happier with him and the clinic staff.
