Well, I thought it would be a great experience and gain some insight on my chances of bearing another child. I had tubal ligation in 2011. My new husband and I want to have a baby. My family Dr sent me to Dr Barreth (as if this is the only Dr.) and the way he handled my appointment was so bad and little to no remorse on what could be done to reverse my tubal ligation, he looked me dead in the eye and said "Sorry can't help you." No in depth explanation of life or death on the operating table, no care to make me feel better, just told me that and sent me on my merry little way. I cried waking out and cried even more when I called my husband. The receptionist told me he was a great and caring Dr. Well, I did not feel that at all. The other Nurse was fantastic. But I give this place 1 star if there was half I would give that. After that appointment I talked to some good friends of ours and they referred me to a place in Edmonton as she had the same exact tubal ligation as I did. (SMH) I know sterilization is a common thing in Indigenous people, but come on. We are good people who work and take care of our own. Sad! I'm hurt and disgusted by lack of professionalism to how it was handled. When I walked in it felt okay, but the Dr could use some personal skills on dealing with patients. Not recommending this place. Thanks for reading. This is my opinion we all have them.
