I took my dog (Angel) into Animal Medical Centre North on Labor Day weekend without an appointment. I was so relieved to find that their office is open 7 days a week. Although I did not have an appointment and the fact that it was a Sunday on a long weekend, they were willing to take care of my precious fur baby. I have taken my dog here since I moved to GP, I had to take him to another vet one day and they said he had a sprain which was incorrect so I brought him back to Animal medical and they took some x-rays and turns out he has arthritis so now I can properly treat him and make sure he is not in pain. They have been great since I moved here with all of my animals I definitely recommend them.

They ensured he was safe to return home post operation, gave pain meds and clear at home care instructions. My wife took our dog in to get an ear infection looked at and vaccine shots. She was told to wait outside and someone will be out to get him. They came and got the dog from her and proceeded to go in. Never acknowledged the dog at all. When she brought our dog she asked my wife if he got anxious when he came to the vet. My wife said maybe a little bit. She told my wife that he snapped at someone in the exam room. She then recommended we drug him prior to coming. My dog has never bit or snapped at anyone since we rescued him and because we cannot go in with him I have no idea what they did to make him snap at someone. This has never happened with Dr. George so something happened. Since Dr. George has left we will be looking for a different clinic.

I can't describe the relief I felt to be told to come in right away. I walked into a packed waiting room and knew immediately that this place truly cared for animals and their owners. My dog quickly became quite ill. Once I told the clinic the issues my dog was having, they had me bring him in to see them immediately. He ended up having to stay the night hooked up to an IV. They explained what tests they would do on my dog and made recommendations for me to follow. Everyone I dealt with, seemed to really care about my dog and it made me comfortable to know that he would be in good hands.

Called their after hours clinic regarding a cat emergency due to a urinary blockage.. The lady who answered the phone kept asking me if I was a client of theirs, asking me why I didn't have my cats on SO urinary blockage food, asked me why I wasn't calling my regular vet clinic... when I explained that they hadn't called me back yet and that I was calling other clinics to see if someone could give me some insight/maybe see my cat, she proceeded to tell me that all the other vet's clients were calling them tonight, that she doesn't understand why Bear Creek isn't taking care of their own clients as they are better staffed for emergencies, that while they're happy to help there is no reason I shouldn't be dealing with my regular vet....I ended up getting frustrated and having to end the call. Ridiculous customer service, no interest in supporting clients. I have taken my cats to this vet before, but since they aren't my regular vet, she kept trying to send me away. How completely disrespectful. Also their call out fee for emergencies is like $375.

My cat started experiencing symptoms of a UTI. Due to his history of having issues in past, the vet wanted to ensure he was not blocked.I called at 3 pm , they closed at 5. They got him in immediately and had him back to me within the hour although it was a very busy day. Then provided a follow up call next day to check to see how he was doing. I have been going to this clinic since I moved here 12 years ago, although the vets have changed, I have always received the best care for my animals and highly recommend.

After spending over $500 at another veterinarian in town and having had my dog misdiagnosed and given ineffective medication, this man gave me an accurate diagnosis within ten minutes for under a hundred dollars. I adopted a kitten through Bandaged Paws. They set the spay date and location, which was this clinic. The personnel that came out to pickup my kitten was quite uncaring with her remarks about my drop-off. When I picked up my kitten, the staff person was not very knowledgeable about the spay. She was unable to answer my questions and stumbled over her words.

You got Maggie fit in????. It was a stressful time for both of us and you went outside in the cold back and forth to keep me informed and to ask me what would I like to do. I ask for oral medicine and I since learned I maybe should have for a shot for an antibiotic which she just about pukes on. But I did not know that you get a needle for that. But they listened and asked and helped us out. They kept her overnight and that was a really a relief because I don’t know if I could handle her with that wound. I’m a little concerned now as she is starting to lick that area. So will phone tomorrow if that’s something that should be stopped. Thank you all for your wonderful help, blessings to you all.

I took him to Animals North for his first check up and all appointments since including his neuter. I had an emergency situation with my cat and while I realize that clinics are busy, this was the only clinic that offered me an emergency drop off option. I was told by 4 previous clinics that they couldn't help me, only one offered to put me on a waiting list. They took my cat immediately and I had a call within hours explaining his situation; he is diabetic. They kept him for a few days to stabilize him and when I picked him up I was given information and a demo on how to care for him. All of the staff at Animal Medical Centre North, from the young lady who answered the phone to the doctor and the assistant that gave me the demo were friendly, caring, professional and informative. I am very thankful for their care and I would highly recommend this clinic.

My dog experienced a cut on her hind leg while waking in the bush. It became infected over the long-weekend. I called our regular Veterenary Clinic, but they could not see her for two weeks. I called AMCN — they made time to examine her that same afternoon! Despite medication, the infection worsened by the next day. They saw her again, immediately! The Vet examined her and took the time to personally speak to me to outline the plan which required additional overnight treatment and monitoring into the next day. I am extremely happy with not only their responsiveness, but with the thorough professionalism of the staff and the Vet. Needless to say, we’ll be switching the care of our dog to AMCN!

Animal Medical Centre North Inc is a wonderful animal clinic.I have had animals here before when Dr. George worked there.Recently I had to bring my cat Nakoma in because I couldn’t get her in at our regular vet and the only reason I go to the one I do is because it’s less travel time for my cat which doesn’t like traveling in a vehicle.Also the one I go to regularly has wonderful veterinarians and staff as well.I was so happy Animal Medical Centre were able to fit me in so quickly on such short notice as they have done in the past as well.I love the fact that they are also taking the health of our fur babies parents and staff so serious with Covid 19 and not having any humans enter the building is a wonderful idea with the current situation we are in right now.All my questions were answers with regards to Nakoma.Staff was very polite and very helpful with all Nakoma’s needs.Wonder veterinary-team and staff so caring.I have recommended this clinic before and will do so again in the future. The only thing that made me mad is when the lady that cremated him didn't get a call about him for almost a week after we put him down. And I thought she was calling to tell me he was done, but she had just got him.

My sister's cat had his first asthma attack, my sister and I were terrified, and we were able to (after calling four vets in a panic) have our boy seen here within the hour. The doctors and techs were very kind, calm and attentive and we felt confident in their handling of the situation. Even though we weren't able to go in with our cat due to COVID restrictions, our fears were quickly allayed by Dr St-Julien's excellent car-side manner and clear explanations. We also appreciated that we were given the option to compare medications' prices before deciding. An overall excellent clinic.

We were in Grande Prairie during our evacuation from High Level when my dog had a cyst burst on his lip that would bleed quite a bit on and off over a few days. We were panicking until I called these guys who got us in right away. They are equipped with a surgical laser the made the removal quick and painless. The vet and staff were fantastic!! I can't say enough good things about this place. I thought my dog had scratched her eye so I drove her to the vet without calling first. They took her in immediately for an exam and told me it was much worse. My pug needed to have an eye removed and they had her taken care of the same day. Dr. George was my old vet and had retired. I haven't had the chance to meet the new vet here yet because of Covid but I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

I was suggested to go here by one of the other vets as they where closing and didn't have room for my best friends dog. I had forgotten that I took my cat here many years ago and remembered how good they where. I am giving them a five star review because of their customer service towards my best friend. I am leaving this review on behalf of her because of the circumstances we where there for. They treated her amazingly and although we didn't get to take my best friends dog home with. They showed great compassion and did everything that they could for her. The vet explained everything in great detail what happened. This vet showed great knowledge in her field better than any other vet I have spoken to for my own pets. The vet tech that was assisting my friend as well was very polite and kind. She also was very through. I highly recommend this vet as they gave great service and took great care of the two most amazing pets I have had in my life my best friends and my own. You can feel at peace knowing when you go here your furry babies would be well taken care of. Thank you from myself as well as on be half of my best friend.
