To this day the firm gets a score of 3.4 out of 5 and this rating was based on 127 reviews.

You know that we do not usually bother to give tatings when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...

(Translated) I chose Hawkesbury Hospital for my pregnancy and childbirth. The service and care were exceptional, I had a superb stay. It is certain that I will return there during my next pregnancies. The staff at the obstetrics clinic are just wonderful.
(Translated) Courteous service. Clean hospital. The patient is taken care of quickly. The staff are polite and competent. In short, those who complain about this hospital, come to Quebec, you will know what is the difference between here (example Suroît hospital) and in Ontario, it is day and night! Too bad we live far away (in Quebec) and we have to come to this hospital because of the horrible health system (Original) Service courtois.
Very lack luster poor bedside manners. Oh ya... also sent my ambulance fees to collections during a pandemic. Pretty trashy
One of the most incompetent, understaffed, and slow hospital I have EVER had the nightmare of being stuck in a town with. Today I went to emergency due to having a swollen throat, which led to breathing and swallowing difficulties. When I got there, a man whom had been in TRIAGE for 2 hours for a broken foot, had started a conversation. I waited a while to see not a single person had been see by the triage nurse still. The man and I both decided to leave. I drove all the way to Alexandria, got into triage in 5 minutes, and got seen by a doctor 20 minutes later. I had time to drive to a different town, get into triage and see by a doctor in less time than that poor man had been waiting in triage for and never been seen. I NEVER recommend Hawkesbury general hospital for anything besides a cold. This is but 1 of MANY horrid experiences I've had there.
(Translated) Very good service, I like my hospital (Original) Très bon service,j'aime mon hôpital
(Translated) Minimum 14 hours of waiting ... 1 single doctor despite a full room with waiting patients .... total disappointment. (Original) Minimum 14 heures d'attente...1 seule médecin malgré salle comble de patient en attente....déception total.
(Translated) Waiting very long in the emergency with children my if not operating side 5 stars (Original) Attente très longue à l'urgence avec enfants mes si non côté opératoire 5 étoiles
(Translated) If I could give no star that's what I would give. Several very bad experiences. 1- Broken knees, 3 ligaments out of 4 torn, the peroneal nerve torn and we return the patient to the house without any care despite the fact that the X-ray did indeed indicate the fracture of the knees. 2- A 81-year-old person who is incontinent, does not speak due to a stroke and who has just developed shingles (therefore also contagious) which is left to wait for more than 12 hours while the elderly as well as babies must be priority. Another 92-year-old with a yellow complexion who has trouble breathing left to wait. Never in these three cases (or during other visits) did a nurse leave her closed space to see how the patients who are waiting are doing, contrary to what they are supposed to do (and pride themselves on doing in interviews they like to ask to be granted)! And others. When in addition one makes a request for investigation the hospital is satisfied to let these same doctors answer themselves that they have done their job !!!
Best Staff! Many thanks to their professionalism.
I am very impressed by HGH MRI process conducted this week. The friendly respectful and professional team at HGH MRI (Sabrina, Melanie, Natasha) made me feels at ease as soon as I walked in the door to their appointed waiting room. Detailed and clear instructions on what to expect explained. The test went by smoothly & quickly and after 5 hours I received the result. On HGH my chart It was my first such test, I would highly recommend HGH MRI to anyone. Hanna Salloum HGH Project M&E

(Translated) My spouse has been waiting for an appointment for 9 months for an operation. The hospital calls during working hours and misses the call. They leave NO message. Incredible place... great staff.
(Translated) Very fast emergency service compared to those of Quebec and smiling and helpful staff (Original) Service d’urgence très rapide comparé a ceux du Québec et personnel souriant et serviable

(Translated) The nurse is super stupid with the people and an old lady was very tired despite having told her that the lady was not feeling well, she did absolutely nothing. I think their priorities are not in the right places ... My wife went for a biopsy. When we checked back a month later , they didn't have the file. It was lost. We had to wait again. We heard nothing back for another month. My wife just so happened to meet with her doctor and the doctor told her the biopsy was unsuccessful. Did this hospital call my wife to reschedule the biopsy ? Nope. Not impressed at all with the service. But chances are you will get faster service than Quebec. Just make sure they are on the ball.
(Translated) I am ready to drive 1 hour to go to this Hospital. Their system is far superior for emergencies. The ambulatory team and Dr. Maunders were extraordinary. Imagine, Dr. Maunders even called us personally the next day, to tell us that they called three hospitals in Quebec to make sure we were followed up in a hospital near us. All this service for my boy's broken finger. All Quebec health ministers try to regulate emergency care time. The solution is 60 minutes from MTL.
Very fast and efficient. ER is cleanest I've ever seen (I am from quebec) and everyone was so friendly
The staffirst would not listen when told about how my husband's medications were administered, including disregarding a direct order from an oncology doctor in Ottawa. They stopped medication they shouldn't and it really set him back on his cancer fight. I swear they are one of the reasons that he died so soon.
(Translated) Very fast emergency St - Jérôme 30 hours Waiting I waited 2 hours in Hawkesbury. (Original) Urgence très rapide St - Jérôme 30 heures D'attente j'ai attendue 2 heures à Hawkesbury.
No compassion for their patients. We drove almost an hour from within Quebec, and I was not allowed to wait with my wife in the ER. Absolutely infuriating. Also , super pleasant to spend th entire day in the car heating it at 1.50 a liter.
The most advanced hospital in Canada and definitely a model for everyone to follow. Emergency room triage was fast even with high level emergencies coming in. The hallways are spotless and the digital record system that follows you is incredible. They even have Cat6 Ethernet cables going into the phones. The level of operation here is military and futuristic. I hope every hospital in Canada copies this model.
(Translated) Really incompetent! In addition, I gave them a second chance. My consultation was for a cat bite on the index finger. The wound grew and swelled visibly. Green pus dripping on my laundry I ask the yard to make me disinfect. The nurse answers me that these not possible without the advice of the doctor. In short 8am in the waiting room wiping the pus and blood off my clothes to give me a tetanus vaccine and then tell me to go home. Seriously worse than in Quebec ... These ca vote liberal! Everyone was pleasant and helpful. They even wheeled me out to my car to get my cell phone, so my husband could find me when he arrived. Thank you all!
Extremely fast and competent staff. Was in and out in an hour and a half. I wouldn't have that in quebec
(Translated) I like too much (Original) J'aime trop
Had to come here with my 5 year old daughter because of complaining chest pain, and we went through the triage and registration. Triage took less than 5 minutes, and and we waited ten minutes max to be called in. We have been here 3 hours and we've already had an EKG, ultra sound, blood tests and x-rays. The only reason we are still here is we are waiting for an answer from the st-justines hospital to call back the doctors here. The experience has been quite pleasant. The nurses were very nice. The only "issue" was when taking blood tests, she had trouble finding a vein but that's not uncommon. She was very nice.
incompetent staff
I've had some 5 star experiences and some really bad experiences but I would like to give a 5 star plus review of Dr. Priscille Marie Georgette Cyr MD She is extremely competent and very efficient, she is always pleasant, down to earth, and explains the procedure in language that I can understand. I can't say enough good things about her.
Showed up feeling really sick or obviously wouldn't have come to hospital waited in waiting room over two hours never got called in saw over 15 ppl come after me and get called up first obviously not using the Triage system like all other hospitals. I spend just as much time waiting at the General hospital which serves a million people in Ottawa not just 10,000 like in Hawkesbury the wait times are unacceptable for the size of this town
(Translated) Excellent hospital! (Original) Excellent hôpital!
(Translated) The health care system in Canada is really weird. We pay huge taxes here, but no one who can diagnose my husband. We were at the 4 hospitals in Quebec. We came here because I read good reviews. But they just do basic tests which don't show the problem, but my husband continues to have a hard time playing and harms his stomach, he continues to vomit several times a day. And this has been going on for two and a half months already. He is unable to work. He lost 60 pounds during those 2 months. But they don't want to FIND THE PROBLEM, to do the special tests !!! It’s easier to let him go. It’s really professional not even to give a diagnosis. It’s better to wait when it’s going to be something advanced. Next to speed we were called after 3 hours and we waited for a doctor for 45 minutes afterwards. At first they said hi to my husband, but they stopped say hi after 30 min when they got the scan that everything was fine. But not all of the specialized tests have been done. I am really discouraged by the system! Just a plus for the waiting room: the chairs are comfortable (Original) Le système de santé au Canada est vraiment bizarre.
(Translated) 9 hours of waiting with a 2 year old child who has a serious allergic reaction.
Unbelievable waiting times. No respect.
Made to wait 3+ hours to be seen as I watched wave after wave of people be seen. I then got told I could not be seen today, as they did not provide the service MY APPOINTMENT was for (Despite the lady at the front assuring me it was here). Went to another building and got told I could not be seen today either and that it was apparently all my fault for missing the appointment. The secretary at the mental health building was extraordinarily rude. Frankly, I'm surprised she is as impatient and rude as she is considering she works in mental health care. Made a new appointment which did not work out as the secretary wrongly inputted my information. I was told I could wait for someone to come back from vacation to book another. No. I don't usually do this but it was completely and utterly unacceptable. I'd give this place a 0 star if I could. Unprofessional through and through and ultimately useless. I could have apparently admitted myself into an emergency department and have been seen in FAR LESS time (We're talking months here) but I was ASSURED that this place was good. Yeah right. Thanks for nothing.
Can you believe that they refused to take care of my newborn! They sent me to Montreal cause they don't have anybody that knows what to do with a baby. Terrible experience
Wait more than 5 hours with terrible back spasms to see a doctor . Told them sitting was causing me a lot of pain but they just said there was one doctor on duty. Heard that the service is wonderful and fast compared to hospitals in montreal... Wrong! 9 hours waiting!!!!
(Translated) Amazing service! Fast and smiling! After 12 hours of waiting in the emergency room in Quebec, one hour drive and 45 minutes to do everything, I still would not be here. Nothing to pay for the residents of Quebec. (Original) Service incroyable !
The nurses "forgot" to give my aunt her antianxiety medication and she ended up going through serious withdrawal. They couldn't figure out what was wrong with her and why she was hallucinating. If ever an ambulance transports me to this hospital I will be fearful for my life. You can't just "forget" to give people their medication. On another occasion, I witnessed an elderly doctor get into a physical fight with a young patient who wanted a cigarette. Violence and forgetfulness. Please, Lord, never let me end up in this horrific establishment.

Was sent back and forth emergency to front desk over and over. Emerg Dr took as long as possible to do stitches. Glad they were relaxed, but small talking with 3 nurses while not paying attention to how good you're doing your job wasn't helpful. Thankful for our health care, but we're letting it get worse and worse, yet paying more for it.
Very professional staff and bilingual
I went in last night because of a work accident. The wait time was long (8 hours) due to understaffing. The staff available were most excellent and kind. My injury was x-rayed twice (before and after removal of foreign object) to ensure clarity of assessment. My finger is feeling better today. Thank you HGH!
(Translated) Very close, very quiet, fast service, acceptable wait times. (Original) Très proche, très calme, service rapide, temps d'attente acceptable.

WORST HOSPITAL EVER ???????? they call you a few days after to com in for a x-ray can you be her for 10am the x-ray takes a few minutes and then they make you wait 8hours just to say OH its all good but all day in there its jut a party between them just filing up the waiting room no one in there are being seen by a Doctors ext????????

(Translated) Arriving and leaving within 2 hours in total ... Wow we would never see that in Quebec. And it's not because the service is bad, on the contrary, more was probably done for me than if I had been in an emergency in Quebec. The most complicated thing was to find myself in the labyrinth caused by the work, a lesser evil is saying a lot!
Staff are pretty nice but waiting time is insane I mean I waited almost 7 hours just for results on my ultrasound!!! I just wished waiting time would be less

Found out today that my MRI was referred to Hawsbury on August 19th from MRI central booking in Ottawa. HAWSBURY - what . . . . I live in Ottawa. What . . . . I never heard from the Hawsbury Hospital. before. I live in Ottawa rural south - so I asked why they hadn't sent me to Kemptville. Hawsbury had a lot of openings in August . . . so why is it October and I have never heard from them?? Also she pointed out that the Kemptville hospital is not part of the Ottawa Alliance - and HAWSBURY is - What. . . . makes no sense to send a patient 1.5 hours away to get an MRI. yes 1.5 hours I live in Metcalfe (a suburb of Ottawa).
Terrible wait times, not very professional and they never answer their phones.

HGH Hawkesbury & District Regional Hospital
Fantastic staff, impeccable!
Never again. 10 hours Just to give up and go home without seeing a doctor. Wish I knew the same people that some of the local residents did. They came in and left in under an hour. Please bring in a 2 tier system. The one we have now is obviously broken. I am actually afraid to get sick in Ontario.
My own personal experiences at this hospital have been horrendous, the emergency centre (er), has terrible waiting times, and very rude staff. I always feel belittled every time I come here. Waited 5 hours to get stitches, and then 10 days later, 8 hours to get them removed. I did not stay after hour 8, I left and took them out myself. I felt as if my stitches weren’t even important. Another experience was when I had ruptured a cyst, I had no idea what was wrong, they brought me in and roughly shot a needle in my arm, I had no idea what it was. I later found out (2 hours later) I was allergic to this medication, still freaking out 8 hours later, they finally tell me I have a ruptured cyst and internal bleeding, just another amazing day at the Hawkesbury general hospital. I wish I had amazing experiences here like everyone else but each one of them has made me rethink my living location. I wish you all luck, but I would definitely not recommend this place. I’ve driven to Ottawa lately for my last few emergencies.
(Translated) Very bad hospital! Bad recurring experiences. Tonight we were left to ourselves with an insufficient heating system. Patients were cold and when we asked for blankets or to check the temperature we had as a non-condescending answers. Several members of the hospital are incompetent in addition to being arrogant and condescending. We had to leave the premises of the cold and the unjustified expectation and the flagrant lack of competent people. Only one doctor on duty and we were present at the scene from 5:30 pm and we left at 1:00 am.
Can’t give enough praise and kudos to HGH and their amazing doctors, support staff and volunteers. It is unfortunate that patients who have appointments do not show up or call to cancel appointments. If a doctor can take the time to come in for appointments, why can’t patients show the same courtesy? Earlier today I arrived 45 minutes ahead of time for a procedure. After registering, I was whisked in and had my procedure in under 30 minutes. There happened to be two “no shows” before me.
(Translated) I thought I was going back to kindergarten ... Me and my father were going to speak to this hospital in order to receive an assessment / diagnosis of our symptoms and medication of the doctor's choice. (my father for a wound in his leg and me for heart palpitations and chronic fatigue) We enter, a nice lady asks us the reason for our coming, what were our symptoms, to disinfect our hands, etc. We both explain to him that we come from our chalet, never to have been in contact with someone suffering / having caught Covid-19, etc. However, because of one of my symptoms (heart palpitations at the slightest effort), she still decides to send us to the registration office in a hot region! Well, I understand, it's her job, she must take no risk (but hey ...). Without complaining, we both decide to go in anyway. Once registration is complete, we are told to go and sit in the waiting room, which by the way, is completely empty. After two endless hours of waiting, there was still no call to the intercom. Honestly, I can understand that they probably have other patients who require more care but make us wait two hours, in the evenings during the week .... So we decided to leave since we knew that we would otherwise have gone to 5 am. Cost of the unnecessary detour: + or - 6 hours lost in a lifetime + $ 25 of gasoline + $ 20 at a McDonald's (Mmmmh, very appetizing ???? ????) All this to say that hospital systems, both in Quebec and Ontario, are rubbish and waste of time ... *** Otherwise, the attendants (excluding the doctors) were very warm and welcoming, they practiced the protective measures against Covid-19 and answered our questions. ***
A year ago: 5 hours in a waiting room, very short of breath. Spoken to rudely and condescendingly by a large French male nurse. Left for another hospital and diagnosed with pneumonia.
(Translated) The time to wait is extremely ridiculous. I had to go 2 Foix in the same week and the first Foix he made us wait 7h wow. It was only when the world started complaining to the staff that the line finally moved. 15 minutes later he passed the ten or so people who were suddenly waiting. Why not have done this before ???. 2 Foix cava made another 7 hours that I am waiting and when I said Bah, it is very long. One of the nurses practically yelled at us telling us. You can see that it is full. The solution that I would give is to tell us when we are going to go through text. But we don't all have to wait for her (Original) Le temp d'attendre est extrêmement ridicule.
Great hospital! I couldn't believe how fast my husband went to triage and had tests done. He did not wait at all, not even a minute. Kudos to all the nurses and doctors as well as all the supporting staff!
FYI. Came in at 07.55 in the morning , got out 10.30 in the morning. Whats done: nurse /registration/doctor/blood sample/ blood test laboratory-1hour/doctor again/prescription/ finished. !!! Super fast!!!
The nurse that did my blood test gave me permanent nerve damage! Heard her say "oops" but thought she was just having a hard time finding my vein... got home and my arm was still numb an hour later... Then started to be absolute staggering pain. I called to explain and ask to speak to the nurse... She explained she "may" have "accidentally" hit a nerve which is a "very rare" case and was laughing like an idiot .. When I asked what could be done she said "nothing" and when I asked how long it would be hurt she said "a few hours". I was in INSANE pain for over 10 hours, crying and twitching and unable to move my arm until the next morning but the pain was so bad I didn't sleep at all. This was a whole year ago but I should have sued honestly.
You send her home after being brought by ambulance and she died in the car 10 min later. Please explain because you should not be a dr. No one should pulled in their garage and turn over to see a person dead
I called an ambulance at 930am for my mother, at 10am my mother was placed in the hallway of the emergency floor. It is now almost 8pm and she is still in the same position, in the same hallway and not seen by one person. When I requested she be moved to a room or for information regarding the doctor, nurses consistently shrugged shoulders while walking away. Never have I been treated with less respect.
Great local hospital. Friendly staff - easy access.
Appreciated the kindness of the doctor Dr. Jonathon was a class act, along with the nursing staff. He stitched me up did not judge for getting injured doing what I love. The wait on Christmas Eve was a bit much however grateful to be stitched up.
Seen and cared for in less than 3hrs. Very nice, attentive staff.
Worst hospital ever.
I gave birth here in April and honestly had the most wonderful experience and Jenna from obstetric is amazing!!! The place is beautiful too, spacious rooms and the food is even good!
Just watched a woman with a broken arm leave because they haven't called any names in the EMERGENCY ROOM for about 3 hours. Slow and inefficient. It's like they enjoy leaving people in pain.

(Translated) We've been waiting for over 12 hours. Where is the old emergency that was quick and efficient? The expansion renovations do not improve anything at all. Very disappointed to have chosen to come here today.
I ditched this hospital years ago due to their incompetence, and dirty environment and instead drive the hour to the Ottawa General. Today, my better half had to take a family member in for a scheduled appointment. After 1/2 an hour of driving around and waiting in the parking lot for a spot, she ended up paying the fee, leaving and parking at the mall several hundred yards away in order to be on time for the appointment. When she mentioned it to the receptionist, she was rudely told “That’s too bad”. I will die driving to Ottawa before I will let this place bill OHIP 1 penny for services rendered.
First visit to ER in over 12 years, for an injury, which turned out to be a fracture. This was a Sunday evening. Spent 5:30 hours waiting and talking to different other ER users. Most of them from Québec... One of those from St-Adèle. No wonder wait time is so long. Not fair for our Ontario and area residents.
It is an amazing hospital! With great people.. Great care!
I can only say good things about HGH. I went there this week for some tests, and the staff was amazing. No wait. On time. Clean. Professional staff, nurses and doctors. If you leave a hospital with a smile, it's a really good sign. Treasure your health system. A lot of people complain, but we have it really, really good in Quebec and Ontario. My heartfelt gratitude to everyone at HGH for their support and friendliness during my visits this week.

Worse hospital in Canada 7 hours in the emergency and still waiting . I suggest Quebecers to stay away .
I signed in to the ER and there was about 5 people waiting in the waiting room I waited from 6:30 pm- 1:00am Now I get it people r busy but this is the worst service I have ever received in Ontario from an emergency room It has an unprofessional insufficient system when it comes to treating patients .... WOW WOW ridiculous system , I can't believe how this health care system has us by our necks we need to see a doctor and they clearly abuse our wait time . And are not helapful when it comes to asking questions . I actually saw the doctor working the 3-11 actually stop taking clients at 930 .... Not classy
(Translated) In the emergency room, the waiting time is more than reasonable and moreover the staff are respectful compared to hospitals in Quebec who don't give a damn about people even if you spend two days in the emergency a real disaster. an acquaintance told me that the Québécois who went to this hospital were complaining, so dear people of mediocre do not go gangrene this institution or die in Quebec thank you, (Original) A l'urgence le temp d'attente est plus que raisonnable et de plus le personnels est respectueux comparativement aux hôpitaux du Québec qui se foutent des gens meme si tu passe deux jours a l'urgence un vrai désastre. une connaissance me disait que les québécois qui allait a cette hôpital était des chialeux alors cher ti peuple de médiocre n'allez pas gangrener cette institution ou crever au Québec merci,
Professional, courteous, fast, informative; if only major corporations could follow the example set by the people who work there.
Spoke to a Pamela Thibault in trying to connect with personel that had just released me 2 hours from emergency room. Service was the worst i ever got. This hospital is great when your are onsite but i must say that over the phone this person needs training.
Used to be great past 2 events super wait times.... And I really avoid hospitals... As we speak 6+ hours just for xray results... Still waiting for my daughter possible fracture. I was always pro for private clinics. Bottom line u pay for what u get... It's free u starve like rats you pay then it's awesome service
Good service, they genuinely try but they are insistently French-speaking
C long
Great hospital with great teams of workers; doctors, nurses, attendants, etc. Was in ER 4-5 times and impressed with the quality service and care received. Best hospital!
I did the dreaded virtual colonoscopy today but was pleasantly surprised at how professional and helpful the technicians were. I was explained everything which eased my anxiety and appreciated their calm caring disposition. I was feeling sick to my stomach after the procedure and they were there with cold clothes and a puke container for me. They helped me onto another bed and kept a close eye on me until I was feeling better. They brought me juice and made me comfortable until I left. I am very thankful for their genuine care.
Great staff at the maternity unit, shows they care about ALL their patients. You were all amazing nurses to us.
I've been going here for years. Hospital it's newly renovated. The covid precautions are good and the doctors are nice and do their job well. Waiting is typical as you are at an ER not a stat clinic. If you are lucky you may be out in 2-3 hours or maybe have an 8-10 hour wait. Unfortunately with my kids and I being sick and hammered non atop the past 3 months we have been frequent patients, but all care was great and mychart is nice too.
Always seemed asap, tests run thoroughly and quickly, friendly staff, compared to QC hospitals it's almost a treat to go
(Translated) bad service, refuses to take my file to Royal Comtois because it is too complex. The crisis line does not return my calls, I sent my file to the Ontario Ombudsman since the complaints department of the hospital is also not very effective and their idea is already done. In addition, I have already been told that I had bed bugs while it was an object. So we did not inject the right antibiotic in 2011. Also a black emergency, this day to scream after me stopped smoking in the examination room, I never smoked in my life, I supsonne the latter to open the door empty rooms and take 2-3 puff and close the door to make it on the back of the patients, we always refused to give me his name because he was a resident, I would complain to the college doctor as the hospital is not very transparent and hide information to be sheltered from a prosecution, we can not do anything except through a law firm that knows the rights of access to the complete medical file.
I lived in Montreal and it's worth to travel! Everytime I get sick I always come and had my check up done in this hospital. Great service! Great staff! And in less than 1 and half hours I did all the examine. Going back in 2 weeks to see a specialist!

I waited 12 hours in the ER waiting room only to be sent home with a container to provide a sample when I could. The next morning I realized there was no requisition with it and when I called the lab they had not received a request for analysis. I spoke to the ER and they had no information. No one has any answers, and I waited 12 hours for absolutely nothing. When I told them that this was ridiculous they told me to go to another hospital next time. They didn't do any bloodwork until I saw the Dr. at 10:30pm. They sent me home with no answers for my pain.
(Translated) Very poorly organized! The wait is very long !! 50 patients with a doctor on duty! I really don't understand why the nurses have the time to talk and laugh among themselves but there is no time to make decisions that certain patients should do, do x-rays or take without. Or I think the doctor should see the patient first, but the nurses could go ahead and tell the doctor that there is a lady who fell and she thinks it is breaking. Make the decision to send it to x-ray to move the process forward! In case you really disappointed all the times. Never again!!! (Original) Tres mal organizer! One of the best hospitals I have been to! The staff very professional and friendly. They gave priority as per ur problem. We were still seen within the 3 hours. We left very happy. Thank you so much! I do not mind travelling from the west island all the way to Hawkesbury. Because this beats all hospitals!
(Translated) ENT surgery which went perfectly. From 10/10 at all levels. Well done to Dr Bastianelli, Dr King, nurses and all the staff.
I recently was operated on at Hawkesbury General Hospital and I have to say that Doctor Leblanc and the nurses were amazing !
This is the worst hospital you can go to. My boyfriend who has his arm possibly broken and all Scratched open. we got triage by a nurse which said it was OK for me to stay because he kept on Fainting. We waiting for 3h in the green zone. After that we got told by a nurse that we will be alone in the waiting room in the green zone with no personal could see you. I went to ask the the nurse to see how long was the wait for him. She told me that it would be a other 7 and then told me that I couldn’t be there. ( at this point my boyfriend had Fainted four times in their waiting room) she wanted me to leave him alone with no nurse around or any personal for that matter. I did inform the nurse that he kept on fainting she told me to wait my turn. We ended up leaving and going to another hospital for their lack of professionalism
(Translated) The staff are courteous and attentive. All spoke French except the doctor. My stay in the emergency room lasted 5 hours, including 2 consultations with the doctor and an x-ray examination. Most important: the prescribed treatment is working. The emergency room is clean and well-kept. Well done to the staff at HGH. I felt like a client, not a beneficiary. Our health managers in Quebec would do well to be inspired by ways of doing things in Ontario.
Amazing Emerg Team starting with Dr Ali & the nursing staff &,radiology & the greeter at the door ! - they went out of their was to ensure my mom had the best possible treatment & care after sustaining a wrist injury . Dr Ali even took the time to do a follow up phone call 2 days later - our family is very grateful to have access to this group - Thank you !
(Translated) Service very fast, courteous and bilingual but the people who work seem to be from Quebec. Parking $ 5. Entry / sorting / x-rays / prescription only 3h. Not like in the CUSUM. In addition we feel very well no stress too unionized employees where Dr who do not speak French. It became my hospital even with the hour of road. I'd rather be a comfortable two hour drive away from being forgotten for one night.
So happy we have this regional hospital, both my husband and myself have been patients and have been treaty ,friendly and efficient. Yes the hospital in the past had not such a good name, but you can sure see the difference and we are very lucky to have it. By the way the people complaining at the moment are they really that badly in need of the ER or do they not have a family doctor. At the moment my husband is in the ICU and we cannot get over how clean it is and the staff is going out of there way to help. Also we did not have to wait long in the ER,actual never did even in the past ,guess if you are really in need of the ER it goes fast. Will recommend this hospital to everybody and for those complaining, try Manitoba, Alberta and Quebec, good luck there
Staff could be MUCH friendlier and help patients understand their diagnoses. It was more of 'Here is the info all printed pout bye' But fast service
Avoid this place.
Spent 5 hours in the emergency department and all I got were x-rays done. I was expected to wait another 2 or 3 hours to get the results.
Had a surgery performed here for meniscectomy as well as lateral extra articular tenodesis and the experience I had with all the staff there from start to finish was absolutely amazing. I am truly thankful for the assistance they provided, anything I needed assistance with they were beyond happy to help with! The surgeons performed a great job and everything went well! Amazing hospital!!!
This is the worst hospital in the Ontario. They are very disorganize and very rude. Been to this hospital 4 times and Every time I had worst experience. Please if you drive and go to any Montreal or Ottawa hospital please go there. The waiting is worst here Compare to the other places .
Worth the drive from Ottawa
I had a positive experience at the ER. Went in at 5am, was seen by 9am by the doctor. I was told that at 8am more staff and doctors are available so more patients are seen. Which is true, at around 7:30 more patients were seen and things were moving quicker. People who arrived at night seemed to have the longest wait so if you are unsure of when to go and can wait until early morning that's what I would suggest. Admin, nurses and doctors were all professional and helpful.
Was there at 2:00 in the afternoon. At 1:30 am still did not see a dr. Nurse came out and call names Ask if was priority and said yes My name was almost the last I was not priority Common i was so sick. I left with 1:30 drive had to stop to project and nurse from triage decided it was not urgent With nothing in the stomach and projecting is not a good sign.they are not dr to decide Very disappointed with how they managed the triage I am on medication to be able to eat snd will have private test. How sad is it . Er nurse was rude without reason
Service is faster here than any hospital in Montreal. Worth the drive
Worst hospital experience was there over nine hrs and never seen a doctor or the doctor call any patients the last four hrs but super great if your from Quebec they will pass everyone before you and the night nurse sure loves her phone rather than working useless don't waste your time
I came with my 6 years old with stomach pain that shes been having for 4 hours and nobody is even checking her
(Translated) I left Blainville to go there. I read a lot of reviews and it said that we went quickly to the emergency room. Quick you say? I spent in 1h30 !!!! Forget it at the Cité de la Santé, St-Eustache or St-Jerome. Besides, I thank Doctor Brassard who was super nice and helped me a lot with my pain! I appreciate everything about this hospital! You are all doing a superb job!
Horrible Horrible experience I wish i could sue them On the abuse they did to my wife and new born baby.
All services available to Quebec residents. How ever if your from the neighboring regions in Ontario. ( and by the way the hospital is located in Ontario ). Most services our not available to you. Absolutely ridiculous, and this has happened on multiple occasions. Your better off taking a short drive to Alexandria, because I think they got confused at some point and built this hospital in the wrong province and just rolled with it.
I found this hospital very organized. I loved that it was so clean and that the staff was very professional and bilingual.
My husband went in for a TURP early this morning, expecting an overnight stay. We were both pleasantly surprised to be sent home mid afternoon. All the staff he came in contact with were friendly, efficient and displayed the fantastic sense of humour that must be a help to get them through the day. Thank you again Dr JM and all the ladies whose names he has forgotten - but he will not forget them.
We are so blesses to Have Hawkesbury General Hospital ,the best in Canada and I'm so lucky to have been treated here and so close to home ,i had major hernia operation which went exceptionally well, from the evaluation for the surgery to the surgery it self was super fast it was almost like a F1 pit stop ,I would like to thank Dr Leblanc and staff who worked along with her thank you ❤️.
Excellent Hospital...Excellent Food...Excellent Nurses ....Excellent Doctors.
(Translated) Surgery on September 28, I am told that the surgery will take place at 9:30 in the morning. I arrive on an empty stomach, I have planned my visit accordingly since I am breastfeeding my daughter. I was made to wait all day in an empty room. I entered the operating room at 3 a.m., still on an empty stomach. It was not far from 5 hours by the time I got out of there. I was given an appointment 1 month later to follow up on my surgery. The morning of my appointment, I was left with a message on my voicemail to let me know that my appointment was canceled at 8 am in the morning. I have 1 hour's drive to do, I have planned my visit accordingly, the babysitter and all and they leave me a message early in the morning to cancel and postpone my appointment in January, so I take it. Today another call from the hospital. Ma'am, we have to postpone your follow-up. So I asked the nurse what was the use of having a follow-up appointment 4 months later? I imagine they will cancel this one in February too ....? Excellent service with not much wait time compared to other hospitals. People are friendly and courteous.
Great place ! A real human care. Very friendly and professional staff ! Thank you !
Friendly caring and want to get to the bottom of your problem
Excellent staff in Emergency Department from the reception right through to attending physicians. They were kind, compassionate and professional. I will always make the drive when necessary rather than have to deal with the Montfort hospital.
(Translated) Interminable length of wait .. witnessed several people leaving the premises !! 3 patients spend 6:30 waiting at Ledas to then end up in the emergency room around midnight at the change of shift or the wait and still interminable and where there were still only 3 people who went to see the doctor in 3h30 of waiting !!! It is absurd and ridiculous. We haven't been here since 5:30 pm and it's 4:00 am and we are still waiting .. my daughter is here for an armed assault on her school bus. The emergency services are a nuisance !! Dogs are treated better these days. 1 pcq star that we do not have the choice to put to give our opinion. Thank you to all the amazing staff, I went to the hospital today in severe pain in my kidney. The staff was efficient and supportive, very quick to help me through my agony. I just wanted to say thank you so so much . Suzy
I was seen right away; very sweet, personable and friendly nurses, doctor came to check on me while we waited for results. I was impressed with the ease and efficiency of the care I received. Thank you for putting my mind at ease.

9+ hours of wait time
Faster service than quebec ,saves me minimum four hours in waiting and lots of parking space.
I have been waiting for 6 hours.I had an asthma attack and no one would even see me. I left the hospital without being treated. They're very racist. I would honestly rate this -5. Please don't visit this hospital.
Exelente attention and fast. I live in Montreal and I travel to this hospital for the great service they offer and the rapides. Here it does not matter if you speak English or French for them you are a patient to attend and they do it with the greatest satisfaction of the world. However Shriners Hospital for Children is new and attention is the worst in the world.
Awful and disgusting behaviour for a medical institution The website on their sleep clinic says it ends at 6 am. Staff kicked me out at 4am with no ride back to Ottawa to sit outside in Winter. "Said there was a bench outside" They claimed they didn't understand how The website hasn't been changed in four years. Bad hospital and bad human beings
In and out in 5 hours. X rays, seeing Dr, stitched. All that with a smile. Thank you guys. For those who complains, don't go to neighbor province, cause than you'll know what waiting really means....
(Translated) Fast and effective (Original) Rapide et efficace
Second and last visit for me. First time I waited 5 hours and was informed it would be at least another 4 hours so I went home. On my second visit and 4 hours in and was just informed it will be at least another 4 hours.
(Translated) emergency with my son very well served in a few weeks appointment and operation thank you (Original) urgence avec mon fils très bien servi en quelques semaine rdv et opération merci
Heard great things from my neighbours about this Hospital ( we live in Saint-Lazare). Went to emergency twice in 1week...thought I was lucky the first visit( in and out in less than 2 hours!) but second time around the same thing. And it was all done with a smile from everyone I dealt with!!!
The nurses and doctor are soo great at taking care of me English and French best hospital by far
Sat in the waiting room for eight hours. I asked one of the nurses how long a wait approximately (very politely, of course), and was told should be relatively quick. This was an hour and a half after my arrival. After another six hours, I asked again and was told soon. Ten minutes later, another nurse came to say if we weren't called yet, we would only be seen after midnight. Knowing that there would be tests to do, I decided that my weekend was worth more to me and left. To summarize, 1.5 hours driving round trip, 8 hours sitting and not being seen (and being lied to), 5$ parking to end up leaving because I was dying of thirst and starving and no closer to a solution to my problem. That was my first and last visit to Hawkesbury General Hospital.
I am a Quebec citizen and I decided to seek help at the Hawkesbury hospital emergency department because I was not satisfied with the help I was getting in my home town. I am extremely satisfied with my visit at this hospital. The doctor I saw at the emergency was extremely respectful and compassionate. He listened carefully to my questions and concerns, all while giving me all the possible answers to make me feel comfortable. The trip to this hospital was 100% worth it, I definitely recommend.
(Translated) So not comparable to care in Quebec!
The waiting hours are crazy. Never in my life i had to wait TWELVE HOURS just to see a doctor to give me a reference letter to do chest x-ray! The nurse who registered the patients was okay, she is kind and helpful. But the other nurse who works night shift was horrible and arrogant. Never coming back!!
Waited 17 HOURS. For blood test result
For a regional hospital in a small city this hospital is quite good. No hospital is perfect however I have been several times with my family from c-section to day surgeries and emergency visits and all was well done with reasonable wait times.
92-yr old mother went through a horrific administrative bureaucracy where one group of specialists doesn't talk to another .. found herself being "evicted" to a Senior's Residence where residents need to be independent, when she needs long-term care. The bottom line was clearly: she is too well to be here and we don't care where she ends up.
This is the best Hospital, everyone you come accross is so nice and friendly, I live in Quebec and I always go to that hospital, service is fast and they are excellent doctors.

Reasonable wait, got a CT scan quick, had a kidney stone. Dr Bwenge was good. My nurse Ben took good care of me. One of my better hospital stays, thank you for being there for me.
The worst hospital I have ever been at.
