Been there multiple times for myself and my wife - wait times are always 8-10 hours even for the simplest of issues. Would NEVER recommend this hospital to anyone. Better off to drive to St.John or beyond.

Christopher Pierce

11 hours in the ER before I was finally seen by a doctor for mastitis, UTI, & kidney stones. Didn't do any X-ray or ultrasound for the kidney stones. Told me to come back the next day to wait some more to get an ultrasound done. Didn't matter that I was nauseas & in a lot of pain. Plus I wasn't able to get antibiotics until later that morning when a pharmacy opened because they don't have one in hospital.

Don Booth

Wait times are ridiculous, last time I was there the ER was full of sick people in the hallways because they had no room. This hospital is poorly managed.

Anthony Nolletti

I required three separate tests for a medical, which only took a total of 1.5 hours. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Corbin St Louis

I've been here twice in two years for a broken wrist (left then right). I have nothing but praises for all the staff. The first time surgery was postponed for a day so I slept in a night. Staff have all been very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. To me people writing bad reviews must either be in lot of pain and naturally cannot focus elsewhere (than on their pain) and therefor are not in a mood to see how the staff is caring and doing their best or they are natural, all year long grinches! Having moved from another province I also have something else to compare with and here in New-Brunswick we are very lucky for our care and the staff that provides it.

Jodi Haley

Doctor was very friendly and helpful, he respected my boundaries and made sure I was OK at all times. The nurses were very calming and friendly as well. The service didn't take as long as expected, very pleased. :)

Slower than fecal matter sliding down a glass pane. Over two hours to see someone about a broken bone.

Waiting lines are many hours..my last was more than 10!

AKASHDEEP KAUR

Worst service, was waiting in emergency waiting area from 5-6 hours. 3 times asks them to provide me at least some kind of medicine just to relieve my pain. Every time you ask them how long just 1 answer couple of hours. In my case those couple of hours never come. Came home without any checkup or medicine. I don’t want to give them even 1 star. Worst experience, no words to explain my experience. NEVER VISIT THEIR EMERGENCY ROOM, IT WOULD BE BETTER TO STAY HOME. YOU’LL BE MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE.

After 11 years of interaction, I write that some of the staff are exemplary and a credit to their profession. The majority, however, are cranky, rude, and presumptuous, especially rude!

While on route back to Alberta I came down I’ll Went to sussex nb hospital and was pretty much sent away with 2 bottles of saline and told to wait on antibiotics to work, knowing my condition was resistant to most antibiotics,I left knowing what lay ahead. I made it to Fredericton and couldn’t go any further. The ER doctors there quickly accessed my condition and began treatment. 8 days iv antibiotics. Travelling with my cat Norma I had to do it through outpatients. Over the 8 days I got to see and meet a lot of their ER Employees mostly nursing staff. The hospital has the kindest bunch of employees I’ve ever encountered in a hospital. They treated me so kindly. Thanks again to the staff your kindness will always be remembered

To the ER nurse who was working on February 18, 2021 at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital who dealt with 16 year old Lexi Daken. She had recently attempted suicide and her guidance counsellor rushed her to the hospital as she was very concerned for Lexi’s safety. They had sat there in the ER for close to 8 hours when you told them that there was nobody at the hospital for a psych consult and if they had to call psych on call it would be another two hours. Than you said something to the effect of “Are you really going to make us call them?” THIS YOUNG GIRL DIED YESTERDAY. We will not stop until you and everyone else who had a hand in not giving her the care she so desperately needed are held accountable.

GF went into the ER and is currently at hour number 17 just waiting to see a doctor. The waiting room hasn't been packed or anything. They just seem to neglect their waiting room entirely. As if that absolutely pathetic wait time wasn't bad enough, We're in the middle of a pandemic and they sanitized the waiting room ONCE in the entire 17 hours there.

Jean-Ben Brideau

Not the best hospital in NB. Doctors aren't so welcoming here and there is a lack of bilingual service.

If you think you need to go to the emergency room, I'd suggest just staying home. At least you'll be comfortable as you die.

Super impressed with the level of professionalism and medical care my spouse and our baby received during delivery of our child. Everyone from the OB, to the fantastic nurses and the staff in the NICU deserve the utmost praise for their work. We are grateful.

Gwen Walker

Both my children were born here - 14 years apart. The L&D nurses and doctors were amazing! So attentive, and genuinely caring. I can't say enough good things. My first delivery was physically traumatic, but because of the excellent care I received we all left healthy, my 2nd was a section and again I received wonderful care. Yes, wait time can be long - don't assume that the staff aren't doing their jobs - if there is no room in the back to take someone in, there is nothing they can do. We've been in a few times recently due to my youngest breaking his arm and the staff have been wonderful. My reason for 4 stars - parking at a hospital should be free and the hospital is in dire need of upgrades and more staff. The doctors and nurses are overworked and more needs to be done to attract new staff.

The emergency room is an great place to waste an entire day waiting. Don't get excited once you finally get "in" where your wait is now solitary but you get to watch hospital staff just standing around talking leisurely about there weekends and what not. Oromocto hospital is about 4 to 5 times quicker, including the travel time.

I wouldn't want to even give this hospital 1star, but there was 1 doctor who actually cared for his patients and came out to check on us every 20 minutes to an hour. Once he was gone, I was abandoned in the waiting for 8 hours. I was originally in there for an acute migraine, confusion and muscle weakness and stiffness and pain all over my whole body. My migraines are a possible symptom of stroke, but it will most likely not ever be caught or diagnosed until it's too late. By the time I was taken in, the new shift of doctors had started, and I listened to them laugh and enjoy grilled cheese sandwiches, toast and other delicious foods which were provided for them, while I waited to have my vitals taken, told I'm not dying, and sent home. I'm so horribly disappointed by this hospital and this whole city in general, it would probably have been better if I had just died in the waiting room. Maybe, just MAYBE THEN, they might start caring about people

I was just hospitalized for three weeks. The doctors and nurses were very attentive and thourough, always explaining every test and procedure they were doing the whole time. I was asked often if I was comfortable or needed anything and never felt rushed when I had questions or concerns. They are all overworked and under resourced but I never felt that personally.

After waiting 10 hours in the ER with what my family doctor told me was appendicitis, i was never seen by a doctor. I told everyone who asked what my family doctor said, and how long it had been happening (2 days at the time, which is around the time your appendix would start to give in, hence my family doctor heavily urging me to seek medical attention from the nearest ER). I arrived at 11am, and decided to leave around 9 after a nurse told me that even if i was seen soon, they wouldn't be able to run the necessary tests on me anymore since the machines needed were shut down 2 hours before i spoke to her. Not only is waiting alone scary enough, but also from having to deal with the immense pain that could have been my appendix deciding to rupture at any moment, i have never been made to feel so insignificant in my life. I spent the majority of my time there with my knees to my chest, and my arms wrapped around me legs, silently crying and visually shaking from the discomfort and the pain i was in. Potential covid patients were let in and allowed in the common area, adding to the overall uneasy feeling. I understand the hostpital functions based off of triage. All the same, i felt crazy for being there. My nurse was rude and short with me, and i don't feel that she was taking my condition seriously. Her report is what would help me get in fast, or make me last on the list. You can guess based off of this review where it put me. Today i am in the oromocto ER, and although i still have to be alone, the staff is already 10× warmer, and they sanatize everything anytime someone touches it. In the 10 hours i spent in the freddy ER, I saw sanitization happen 4 times. I will not be going back.

(Translated) I have lived in several regions and I must say unfortunately that it is the least professional hospital that I know, I have never known another place that offers service in two languages, but when it comes time to discuss the majority make fun of us, not all, but a lot, which I find particularly deplorable. It must be remembered that human beings have feelings.

People are saying the wait times wouldn't be so long if we didnt go when it's not an emergency I went in with hart failure and had to wait 12 hours id hate to see what they classified as a emergency. once i got u they kept me for 6 weeks but I will give credit ware its do the nurses are amazing and I give them 10 stars

People are People and can care within there limits People are very nice there and i am quite close to the security here at horizon. As they have helped plenty of times

If anyone is looking for treatment or relief, then stay away from this place. First, you will be sitting in the waiting room for ages so, bring your charger, food, water, sleeping bags or anything else you need to sit and relax. It's a nice place to finish all the seasons of your favourite series. 5-6 hours of wait is a norm and if you are lucky you will get to spend 10 hr at this beautiful location. Emergency room has a name for a purpose. It's called emergency because people need immediate attention. Nobody seems to be in any hurry here because they know if someone comes here once, they aren't gonna come back again. They will prefer to stay home and bear the pain or pop some pill. Hypocrisy is, on the walls in the hospital, you have posters warning patients not to neglect any issue they are experiencing. Stay away. Bear the pain. Pray to God to heal you because treatment is not what you are gonna get here. This review should be taken constructively and I hope some able guy in the healthcare system will improve the Medical facilities in Fredericton for common public. Update: waited for 6+ hours before my patience ran out and I got back without seeing the doctor.

Katie Doucet

My family and I have had some bad experiences with the DECH over the years but I have to commend the ER regarding the service I received last night. Went in for a very painful abscess and thought I would be there forever. However they are making strides in improving wait times by having physician assistants take care of things. I was in, in no time. The assistant I had was extremely nice and professional. He asked if a trainee could treat me and she was wonderful too. I was really impressed. Can't give 5 overall because my experiences havent been all good but last night was five stars!!

Robert Jury

They were rude and refused me to enter even with a doctors medical note stating i can not wear a mask its who cares if she is in need of medical care or not basically just let her die... this hospital and oromocto are the absolute worst experience of my time

They did an amazing job with the delivery of our son, they took very good care of him an my wife. Big thanks too the hard working staff of the labour and delivery!

SC Peter PANG

My son was born here and I am impressed with their service. The building is a little bit dated but in good condition, you cannot compare this to other major Canadian cities. The infrastructure is pretty good comparing to many other buildings in New Brunswick. Special shout out to Dr Mills from the labour and delivery department and also nurse Lori from the pediatric ward, who both worked very hard around the clock to ensure the wellbeing of my son and my wife.

This emergency room has improved over our past experiences from a few years ago. Professional, fast, and kind care. This emergency room will be reason to move to Fredericton if this kind of care becomes the “rule.”

Delisha Akhlaq

They treat patients as they are the only people there. They keep checking back on you to ensure you aren’t hungry or need anything. They also have a help line and you can call them anytime. My mom felt like a queen during her stay there.

David Osborn

They wouldn't let me in with my wife to give birth, even though I pay for them with my taxes, so my wife and I delivered the healthy baby by ourselves at home.

Pearl Ravenwich

Mixed bag in terms of what service you get. Long wait times in almost all cases. I have heard horror stories about how staff members have treated patients but sometimes they seem okay. Often they send people to the after-hours clinic anyway but most know better and go to Oromocto instead, where service is much faster and friendlier.

Dave Rigley

Called an ambulance because my 2 year old daughter was having seizures. She's still in the waiting room 3 hours later.

Friendly dedicated staff very good meals and excelent care . I was treated very well. Thankyou to all

Horrible. Just horrible. No other words for it.

Marc St-Pierre Belanger

I really had a nice service for one day surgery. Everything when quick and staff was nice, especially when I saw them working with kid. Of course it's just one department. The reason why I don't give a 5 star is the waiting time, apparently they are short of anesthesia staff so it took really a lot time before my surgery but it's a provincial issue, not just the hospital.

Cory Harper

People really need to give the staff here a break, they're doing an excellent job. Don't like the emergency wait times? Don't go in when it's not an emergency. The people that need the care first, get the care first.

scarface matt

so i go into chalmers for chest pain where the doctor tells me its a pulled muscle tossed pain killers and told to go home 3 weeks later i go to oromocto hospital for the same pain but worse and im in organ failure how is it the bigger more equipped and advanced hospital can misdiagnose something like this chalmers is a failure

Horzions Values "We believe in providing evidence-based interventions, working with others to promote the well being of individuals and groups, in a fiscally-responsible environment. We respect the rights and dignity of all individuals. We believe in working with our clients, their families, community partners and other stakeholders to improve the health of our clients and the population in general." The only thing here they may care about is "fiscal" and their stakeholders at DECH. There is no bedside manner and no common sense when it comes to helping people. They have no interest other than to give people strong drugs and send them home. Completely rude every time we have been there for a serious issue this summer, several times regarding the same thing which is still unresolved unfortunately. Until they determine there is something actually wrong, which seems to take forever, and hasn't happened for us yet, the staff is completely disrespectful and just thinks everyone is in there to get their fix. Some people actually need help, unfortunately DECH is not the place to get it. And this is not to go for all Horizon facilities, the new clinic downtown is run beautiful and so are any of the nursing homes that are under the horizon umbrella that I have dealt with. Doesn't even deserve one star, I feel bad for the good people who actually work here because their work is absolutely lost, it must be completely defeating.

17 1/2 hours in emergency. By the time I was tended to I was very close to having a seizure. They didn't believe I could predict this. There is only one doctor available for emergency overnight. Apparently no matter the effort , the government will not approve another....that's a big problem

went for chest tightness, shortness of breath, fainting, nausea ETC. and they made me wait 4 hours just for my blood pressure to be checked and breathing sounds. they sent me home. i went back the next day because it had gotten worse and they gave me a covid test. came back negative and sent me home again. went back again bc i could barely breathe, i could barely breathe in and i was so lightheaded i had to take a cab there bc i couldn’t drive myself, they did NOTHING. 3 hospital visits in a week and absolutely nothing. i had to travel to toronto to be with my mother in case it got worse and i became impaired and needed help from someone. got to a hospital there and turns out i had a blockage in my lungs that was quickly growing. could’ve suffocated alone at home because they’re so useless

Amy Ekstrom

I've had to use the services of the hospital three times since moving to NB. I can honestly say I've always been treated with respect, compassion and without prejudice. Hospitals can be busy, times can be long, and that's to be expected in a hospital, so I've never let that bother me. I'd rather wait and have thepatients before me and after me receive the best care not rushed care. Update so I had to spend a week in hospital after breaking my leg and ankle. What I'd say is the food staff, can be rude, unhelpful and consistently forget that they work in a hospital, but that was soon forgotten by what I'd call world class care and attention from the nurses, trainee nurses and the Dr who put the plates into my leg and ankle.

Elaine Polsky

My hands got very ridged I could not open my hands and after that same thing happened with my feet. I could not walk, move my arms, legs and even my speech was not normal. Ambulance was called, but by the time they arrived I had recovered and I was talking and walking and my hands was still not normal. I went to the hospital and they put me in the waiting room. But my hands started getting very ridged again and ONLY I knew what was coming next (not able to walk and talk) then I rang the bell till someone came but because I rang the bell more then once, the nurse shouted asking me to go away. I DID try to explain to her that my condition was changing so she could update my file and the security came and also shouted at me threatening to put me out of the hospital. I started marching and I did not stop talking because I was scared that the same thing at home would happen again. The nurse did not listen to me. I just wanted her to know that my hands were paralyzing again and the same thing happened at home before my legs and feet got paralyzed. No compassion, no respect.

Stephen Whalen

After having my second baby on the side of the road in an ambulance and having that be a far better experience than what I had with my first at this hospital, all I have to say is this hospital doesn't have much to offer women wanting a natural delivery. They're unorganized and they simply dont have the knowledge to support birth in any other way than the aid of multiple drugs or making incisions. The nurse I had with my first child said she had never seen a woman give birth without the epidural. Gave 2 stars because there has been some minor improvements to after care. It's no surprise to see the interest in midwives increasing so much in the area considering how women giving birth are treated at this hospital.

Robin Crawford

Friendly helpful staff.

Matthew O (Matt)

such horrible people, they sit there and do nothing but chat and blabber on. I was sickened to see 3 family's with small children wait that long, not to mention my 10 hour wait... just to leave

Marley Nicholls

You almost killed my girlfriend! She had to go to another hospital after you released her

Ian Scott

Recent day surgery and General Anesthetic. From the friendly admitting staff to day surgical staff, OR staff , Dr.Murdoch and Dr G.Thompson thank you for as pleasant an event as possible. Thought all were excellent. Knowing whats coming , being of medical persuasion, not an easy spot to be in. Great team.

Aaron Frank

One star is a little overrated. Trying to see a doctor for 7 hours and no response but a laughter by a nurse about my pain. Drove to the US to see a doctor (paid) in Main, took me 30min to see the doc and get a scan. Number one reason to live in a city? Access to doctors, NOT provided here. Go to another hospital!

John Cameron

Doctor Jennifer Duguay bungled every aspect of her case, placing my mother's life at risk. After putting her on Warfaren, she discharged her with instructions to show up for blood work on Tuesdays and Thursdays so it could be monitored by her family doctor. She filed absolutely NO paperwork to accomodate this. Neither the ER nor the blood clinic would accept her. The only response they gave was that we should follow up with Duguay (a doctor who isn't even known by the ER nurse I spoke to - I'm beginning to wonder if she wasn't a stray who wandered in off the street). She didn't even call in her prescriptions. I had to return to the hospital and physically oversee the nurse faxing in her pills to the pharmacy before it closed for the long weekend. If Chalmer's plan is to cause undue stress and health issues for their patients and family members, congratulations - you've succeeded admirably. If I could leave zero stars, I would. If you value your health, I urge you to travel to another province before wasting one second in this death motel.

Ann

If I could give zero stars I would. Don't have your baby here unless you don't mind being handled like a farm animal. If you get nurse Jill or Lisa ask for a different nurse, they will give you a hard time about it but these two nurses had no beside manner and no idea what they were doing. They're in desperate need of better protocols when it comes to labour and delivery. Patients are not handled with care or respect. The nurses do not care about patient consent when performing invasive exams during labour or even bothering to explain what the exams are for. The nurse I had was physically and emotionally abusive. I was grabbed by the arms and forced in a hospital bed against my will when there was no medical reason making laying in a bed necessary. I was repeatedly told "be quiet" or "you don't need to make any noise" during pushing, apparently at this hospital women are expexted to push a baby out silently even while being denied the epidural. They shoved my body in a painful position- on my back, legs forced in the air on a bar attached to the bed, told me there was no one to give me the epidural and got annoyed with me when I was crying in pain. Pretty pathetic system to allow that kind of treatment to ever happen. Some of the nurses clearly need more training on the proper way to handle and speak to someone in pain. Force is their go to method, far from compassionate. The fact that they're forcing women on their backs and shoving their legs back to give birth says a lot about how out of date this hospital's procedures are. They claim to be pro breastfeeding but are more like breastfeeding tolerant. Trying to breastfeed during my stay was very discouraging due to staff hovering over me, making comments like "bottle feeding is just easier" "everyone wants to breastfeed but most can't". I was constantly interrupted while trying to breastfeed for little checks that could have waited. When I asked one of the nurses if she could wait to give medication for 15 minutes until I was done feeding she said no and roughly stuck a needle in the back of my arm leaving a huge bruise. I feel very sorry for every woman who's had to deliver here and been subjected to such poor treatment.

chopo 20

**ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC** Probably the worst hospital you can go to ! You have to wait 8 hours at minimum to get to talk to anyone. something that would take 10 minutes will no joke take your whole day and your night... absolutely pathetic and something needs to be done about this . This city should be ashamed.

reuben foodie

were prepared for 8h legendary wait, but were fully looked after within 1h with prescription in our hand and on a way home. All nursing and doctor staff were very helpful and caring considering stretched circumstances they have to deal with.

I brought my daughter to the DECH last night. We are first time parents and very nervous about her symptoms. We saw Dr. Clair (or LeClair? Sorry I was so worried and tired it is hard to remember). She was extremely kind, professional and understanding and even called me this morning to follow up. I am so thankful for her service and I hope her colleagues and paitients can see how much of an awesome person she is. Thank you so much! Also a shout out to Dr. Samson who delivered my daughter a year and a half ago. I hope if I ever have another child I have your expertise guiding me again. All the support staff as well, you make it happen and I know a lot 6of people complain about waits and what not but I don't think they empathize with the level of pain and sheer number of people that use the system. You are literally keeping us all going. Thank you all so much.

I’ve been told by walk in clinic doctor to go to ER cause my infection is getting worse which need a procedure. I arrived here at 2pm, and got a #43. And now is 9 pm, the calling number is #69 now and there are only 3 patient in the ER. There are at least 20 person came after me and meet doctor first. Even if today is not a busy day, others taking 2hour waiting at most. But I took 7 hours and not see the doctor yet. They just assume you are not serious issue then put every new patient in front of you. No matter how painful you are how badly the fever you got. They just let you be the the first person here, but the last person seeing doctor in this room.

Candy Bonhomme

Thanks to all the nurses in day surgery who helped me before and after my procedure. Veey attentive and freindly.

Treated like livestock. Tanya the RN could have resolved my issue with a saline IV but was on a power trip. Passed out in waiting room after losing consciousness once with paramedics. Still nothing was done.

I just recently had my son here. I had heard horror stories but i had a good experience, the nurses and drs were great. The nurses in the mother baby clinic were helpful amd very friendly, i have to say we were treated with the upmost respect! Thank you for your kindness and being so thorough with the whole process. Only negative is well the food but everyone knows that!

Diego Lovon

Worst emergency ever my big toe was broken and I had to wait like 6 hours. So my advice is: don't go there unless is something really really bad

lbharrisca

There is a definite issue with the long wait times at this particular hospital compared to that within the immediate region, many other locations in the province and in comparison to even bigger centres in other provinces. Basically there appears to be a lack of accountability with no watchdog to ensure any standard of care is being provided consistent with that of other locations.

Tyler Whitlock

My partner was not allowed in with me to witness and help me through the birth of our daughter. I had to give birth alone due to these absolutely unscientific mandates. They made him wait outside in the cold for 4 hours before informing us both that he would not be able to be in there with me after making it seem like they just needed some "time" to swab him. Denied him the option to even swab and provide negative covid test. Only told us that upon our arrival to get me in, and up to labor and delivery and to get him to leave. Was forced to wear a mask during my entire 12 hours of labor AND while I was giving birth. I am honestly traumatized from this experience and wonder how these things are rationalized in any human being with a heart and good conscience...

Bob Levesque

One of my hest friends wentbto the hospital twice this week as he was highly suucidal and was turned away both times. This week is Nental Health Week. Blown away!

They treated me and my family the very best when my mom was in the hospital sick and dieing.

My whole hearted thanks to the staff in the ER. Your kindness and attention to detail let me know my husband was in capable hands. I appreciate all your hard work and self sacrifice.

The staff was super friendly and accommodating I could tell they were trying their best to make sure everyone was taken care of. Unfortunately after waiting for more than 7hrs I was still unable to get in to see a doctor and I went home

They finally got rid of her after I launched myself at the person who turned me away from getting help. > They arrest me, cuff me and sit me in front of everyone in the waiting room. I'm told I'm next. More lies. Several patients go through. > Finally they say it's my turn. They take me around a corner and shoved me in a "safe room". Whiteboard walls, concrete floor, a filthy mat, a toilet that looks like it was never cleaned, no toilet paper or soap. They come in and out asking me questions telling me this is to keep me safe. I kerp telling them it is making things worse and they have just strengthened my resolve to finish it as soon as they let me go. And I fully meant it. After 3 hours the ER doctor comes in and tells me I seem angry, seriously?! She asks for blood and urine before she calls Phych. 6 hours in, no food or water, I see the ambulance attendants at the end of the hall pointing and laughing. At that point I get very agitated and angry and start screaming to get out and I started pounding on the walls. I honestly thought they were trying to cause me to go completely insane. > They send someone to medicate me. I tell them I don't need medication, I need to speak with my husband. I had been begging to speak to him from the time the police showed up. They sent 3 security guards in, they tripped me, slammed my face and knee into the cement, cutting above my eye, fat lip and my knee is so swollen it's numb. > I lay down because now with no food or water, my blood sugars are so low I am sweating and very dizzy. > The Shrink finally shows up at about hour 7. Talks to me for 15 minutes and tells me it can go. >Now, I can't stop shaking. The thought of leaving the house scares the hell out of me. I will never be able to step foot in the DECH or possibly any hospital without flashbacks. > All of this is supposed to make me feel better? That is not how you treat anyone who needs help. I gave the hospital till end of day to reach out to me after speaking with Patient Advocacy.

Some days are good others they refuse to see you. If you are coming in for a specific doctor or appointment they are great. Walk in, good luck!

These people are the worst. Jaded, incompetent and downright uncaring. Burn it down

I would like to take a few minutes if my time to give thanks to the wonderful RN and nurse practitioners that helped me today and allowed me to speak about my story. I went into this hospital ER at around 5am with extreme dental pain and no idea what to do and even though they had no way of servicing me dentally they still proceeded to help me through by treating me humanely. They gave me medicine and brought me food. Genuinely caring about my wellbeing. The doctor that seen me was quite abrupt and not very helpful. However the nurses proceeded to do everything that they could to make me comfortable including trying to contact offices and organizations that could help me as I am not able to afford the dental procedures and have no coverage. Alongside a woman who was a social worker who went above and beyond trying to make contact with charitable organizations to possibly help fund me. When I told the ladies that my damage was due to my past drug use and that I have been in recovery for three years they did not judge but congratulated me on the endeavor of chasing sobriety and change. I would like to say that without men and women like you who actually care about people like me. There would not BE people like me. My teeth still hurt and I still need work done. However my spirits are lifted and they gave me hope. So thank you to the staff here for being wonderful people.

I have been there on many occasions and needed to stay, sometimes for extended periods of time. They treated me with the upmost respect and provided the best care. If you are expecting to be treated like your mother would treat you then you are delusional. They provide the best care possible.

Worst emergency room I've ever been to. Just moved from Ontario so have no doctor but have been on the 'list' since I got here....need renewed anxiety and depression medicines and they consider that not serious?! Even tho any doctor will tell you it is serious and not to abruptly stop. Waiting almost 19 hours and still not seen. Someone needs to do something about nurses deciding how 'serious' your case is....they aren't doctors and should NOT be allowed to determine this.

Waited 4 hours in the afternoon. Seen 1 person get called in. Said they still had people waiting there for 7 hours. No point waiting if there is a 7 hour wait, plus if there are any emergencies. Think they could get more doctors or a better system.

Seems a level 3 triage means you sit for 7hrs and watch 25 or so other people come in a after you and leave before you - while you’re hoping your head is not about to explode because new intense attacks of vertigo. ????????‍♀️

I have nothing but positive things to say about this hospital. Positive energy all over the baby dept. All of the nurses and doctors have been nothing but the absolute best.

Long wait times 8-12 hours Needs more funding for doctors or more access to medical professionals to help the procesa

Lisa Nagy

Long waits in the ER. Not enough staff for the amount of patients.
