This Hospital belongs to the category of Hospital.
Dr.Steven Gasiewicz is one of the best Doctors in the area and certainly a humble and Patient man. He is also, IMO the smartest Doc in the Facility. Hopefully whoever reading this Review who intends to or does go to this facility goes there when Gasiewicz is On-Shift. His name pronounced (Gah-sheh-wicz).
I want to thank the staff at St Mary's hospital in Lewiston, NY for all their help. I went to the ER Nov 29, 2020 around 6pm and was seen right away. The staff was very polite and attentive. Comfort measures were given to me. Their kindness and patience went a long way with me. Thank u so much! It was very clean and the followed all Covid-19 rules.
Thank you, Outpatient and Recovery Room staff. Excellent care and professionalism .
i am pregnant and there’s a chance i might have a kidney infection. i’ve been in a serious amount of pain all day and i’m still waiting to be admitted. it’s been almost 3 hours. staff is nice tho
This was the greatest doctors visit I've had in almost 2 years! (Background: I got the nexplanon implant 4 years ago and it got "lost" in my arm. I had multiple doctors cut into my arm to remove it with no luck then shoved out the door to the next doctor.) I set up an appointment with Dr. Joe which is 2 hours from my home. It was my last hope. All the staff were super friendly and made me feel right at home. When he went to search my arm for the implant he wasn't afraid to admit that he couldn't feel it anywhere in my arm and assured me that he would not be cutting me open without knowing exactly where it was. Knowing I lived so far away he sent me to get an xray STAT so that we could locate it and he would call me the next day to come up with a game plan after talking with his surgeons. He called me 2 hours later with its exact location, what surgeon was going to help, how we were going to do it, and that he was going to block his schedule for the day of removal so that he could be there as well. I thanked him and all the staff I don't know how many times because I wasn't being shoved out the door to the next doctor, everyone listened to me, and someone was FINALLY helping me and doing whatever they had to do. It's the first appointment I haven't left in a panic attack and crying. Thank you soo much for everything!!
You guys should've been shut down over 13 yrs ago.
The majority of the nurses here are very kind, & made my stay much easier, but service is a bit slow, and Doctors were treating daily check-ins as a burdon.
I’m going tomorrow to get my stones checked
Came from Canada for a rush set of MRI's. Lisa and her partner in the MRI clinic were amazing and helped me through it taking great consideration for my slight claustrophobia. The disc with the Radiologist's report on it was ready for us to take within minutes. All in all were only there for not much more than 1 1/2 hours. Much appreciated as it cost us $1200.
On the 6th floor where i was a patient 3-2/3-4 i was admitted with a broken foot and a severely damaged sprain to other foot. When time came for me to be discharged, i was denied pain meds at the time i would of gotten it. Its clearly noticeable whom likes their job and who doesnt.. Transportation was called to get me home since i could walk. Who had to wait for these clowns of a nurse to get it together!! This was the first time i had been admitted to St.Marys... and will be my last. I am very Sad and disappointed how i got denied pain medication for this ride home in a bus..
My father had a stroke and possible viral encephalitis not sure since they allowed him to discharge himself against our wishes. We asked for them to use his health care proxy since he could not comprehend or even hold a conversation, we were told no he is a grown man and can make his own decisions .... He obviously has damage from his stroke he can't even feed himself, my sister drove from troy to pick him up and found him outside roaming around with his pants down, inside out, and backwards... But he was capable of making his own medical decisions???? A nurse even called us the night before asking for us to talk to him because he was wanting to be discharged but he was not right mentally, she said he was walking around in circles and could not understand what was being told to him. We brought him to Albany medical to continue treatment. This was a horrible horrible experience and never did I think a hospitals staff would allow someone who is obviously a risk to themselves to leave. I'm so grateful we had high temps today or who knows what could've happened to my father. They even put his mental status as resolved ????
They called me to tell me my mom was "actively dying" a minute after her death cert was signed. I called there to check on her a hour and a half before she passed and was told she was feisty. UMM no one knew then to call and tell me to get there? Secondly- I get there and they let me in the room without telling me she had died. Awful miscommunication.
We continue to sit here. Two hours now waiting for an ultra sound! Two other people walked out that waited 2 hours also. But we were assured that wouldn't happen to us. Here we are. I have been giving all my business here for years. Before the merger I have never waited this long and was never treated so nasty. Rude staff at the desk, and not just to us. I think that the staff needs to be reminded that we, the patients, are not here for fun, usually a scary moment with uncomfortable thoughts and procedures. Very disappointed! It's three hours now....he went in the back, finally....didnt think we would have to bring a lunch!
Mt. St. Mary’s is absolutely the worst hospital I have ever experienced and unfortunately enough they are the closest one to my house. I am a registered nurse in Buffalo and the practice of the nurses and providers is absolutely horrifying. Unless you have severe trauma and no choice to come here, I recommend taking the extra time to drive to a better hospital. They shouldn’t even be able to accept clients, the care is seriously that bad.
When you go into to the emergency room and they walk you into the glass room everyone can hear all your information outside in the public sitting area. Isn't that a violation of hipaa as they are not protecting your medical information from others ? You hear the stories and you believe there not true then you go into the emergency Room in oh my God the stories are more than true staff think they're gods and treat you with such disrespect that its sick.. Just look at all the reviews..funny how there raiting drops and drops.. i wonder in another year if they will be below 2 stars..I think when I made this they were at 3.2 I think....
Everyone is super nice and helpful and the hospital is very easy to navigate.
Went there after my husband fell from ladder. He had as open gash with exposed tendon on elbow, among other issues, he was in pain all over from the fall, they finally took him to xray but told him it would be another hr to be looked at. No ambulances or real life threatening issues that I noticed. So we ended up leaving, now I have to worry about possible infection and possibly broken wrist. I hope I never need their lack of services again.
Best hospital I ever went to. The nurses treated my like royalty!!! They were there all the time asked if I needed anything, the doctor that performed my procedure from WNY Urology And associates was professional, knowledgeable. I had an after care question wen I called hospital they put me right on w a nurse and she knew who did surgery and helped me with my questions. I will always go here from now on. Thank you Nurses, Doctors and Staff!! Keep up the good work!!! You are awesome!!!! You do an Amazing Job!!!!
I liked coming here when it came to an emergency but lately it has been horrible I was here yesterday to find out I had covid I waited her 8hrs just to be told I had covid I had to come back today because I threw up blood and guess what it took 4hrs for me to get in a room just to not been seen yet.
Absolutely vile the way they treat people. Never go here if you value someone’s life
Nursing and medical care were outstanding.
great doctor, nursing and staff. I was there for my father colonoscopy and it was really great ! thanks to all related parsons.

Was born here. Am still alive, so birth was mostly successful. Though not the hospitals fault, 0/10, would not be born again.
My grandson had blood work done, a week later the Dr. call and asks where's the blood work? She see he was registered but no blood work find. Smh. I can see if it was lost but their saying its not on file like his blood was not drawn. My lawyer will be notified ASAP. Suspicious something's going on...
I recently had a very painful situation. The emergency room was compassionate and worked hard to control the pain. I was admitted and ultimately had surgery. The staff was extremely compassionate and responsive to my needs. I am grateful for the professional care. Much thanks to the caring staff.
Here at my st Mary’s for the first time, the receptionist is excellent, professional and super helpful. From hearing the stuff they seem to be working very well together. The place is super clean. A patient who was ahead of me complaining of shortness of Breath they whisked him within literally a minute from the registration area. As a patient and a health care worker I could see hear and observe things that the ordinary people do not pay attention to but this hospital is one of the best I Highly recommend this hospital For you and your loved ones. Thank you Mt at Mary’s stuff????
My uncle was here to have a kidney out and was discharged after 9pm meanwhile they had told he would be discharged 8+ hours before. The staff is slow with doing anything and seem to spend most of their day talking in the nurses station

Today I decided to send my husband to St marys due to severe abdominal pain on his left hand side. We dropped him off the Receptionists were nice and accommodating. I called him for an update he has been waiting in the waiting room for a good 5hrs. I understand that people were waiting and were higher priority. But seriously when my husband went up complaining he was in pain the only answer you could give was We Are Trying are best!
Ridiculous! My grams friend is real sick so they sent her to sister's ????, sister's ???? had to call them to get her records because they were to lazy to send them with her. Snooty, snotty people.
YOU GUYS ARE A DANG JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!
The staff is some of the most professional group I have dealt with in a Hospital they go out of their way to help you.
ER doctors are a joke, the nurses are nasty as heck and they have no clue what they are doing. My dad has been there several times in the last year for congestive heart failure and doesn't have long to live. Yesterday he was brought in by ambulance after being released 4 hours earlier and we had to argue with the ER doctor because the doctor was trying to tell us that he didn't have congestive heart failure which is totally wrong. The nasty nurse was very pissed that he pushed the button for her help because he was having a breathing episode and didn't want to be bothered. He was having several more episodes than they ordered for him to be removed from his full face oxygen while he still couldn't breathe. My brother and I were in shock and what had actually happened with this staff. The doctor was making assumptions while never looking at my dad's chart and the nurses need to change carriers because they have no business treating patients. Now I see why this hospital has only 2 stars. They outta be ashamed of themselves. Very sad that patients dying and under stress get treated this way.
Doctor ran no test on me, says I have a viral infection since it's going around and there's nothing he can do for me, I've been sick without a voice almost a week and can taste infection, was told to gargle with salt water!
I had 2 diagnostic tests scheduled today. A mammogram at 5:30 pm, and ultrasound at 6:00 pm at the Woman's Imaging Center. Reception was prompt, and professional during my registration. The Technicians who performed my procedures Cathy, ( mammogram ),and Pamela, ( ultrasound), had excellent customer service, personal skills and bedside manor. They both explained what was going to occur before and during the procedure. I have been a nurse for almost 30 years, and I've worked with good, and bad, and I have to say if they are a reflection of all staff at this hospital, I would be honored to work with them.
This hospital is absolutely terrible
waited 3 hours in the ER to TRY to get antibiotics for my son while on vacation. we left. staff was pleasant but apparently the rest if the ER staff was incompetent.
My husband was admitted to the ER this morning and the staff was very friendly and professional. They worked together like a well oiled machine. The ER doctor, Vick, had great bedside manners and was very knowledgeable. We are glad we chose St. Mary’s over the other 2 local hospitals.
The nurses in the surgical unit were so helpful and professional. The care I received was far the best every single nurse I came in to contact with. Mary Allen , and Rachel were the best. They checked on me several times and went out of there way. It was a snow storm and my ride was stuck and late picking me up they didn't leave my side. These ladies need to be recognized. Thanks so much. It's hard that we can't have anyone with us during covid so this truly helped my anxiety.
Today is May 10 2021, I would like to say my procedure went well the whole staff was very attentive and professional. Great job by all.
I love this hospital.
The worst hospital to go to I got there at 11:30am due to my newborn baby was bleeding though her belly button every time she pushed to go poop since she's constipated my husband was already frustrated due to the simple fact that people where going in the back to be seen while we where there way before them one of the nurse without checking my daughter said that my baby ain't bleeding like how you know you only took her vitals and was on the computer we got to go in the back at 1:30pm another nurse was rude telling me why I keep messing with my daughter belly button when not once was I and her telling me that why am I pushing for my daughter to get an xray ain't nobody said to give my daughter and xray except the doctor that look at her extremely rude plus the place smelled horrible the place was too dusty... my husband and I just walked out of there and took off to the best hospital that I know woman's and children's we got seen right away and taken care of..but ST.MARY'S HOSPITAL I don't recommend it if I could a zero I so would
What a joke. Go to emergency with my mother who is 73 and has symptoms of pneumonia recently had her lungs drained a couple months ago. 3 times in past year. Noone in waiting room when we got here. And still waited 2 hours to even get in back. Asked for oxygen twice and nothing. Will NOT be coming back here. Still waiting to see a dr too.
5 to 6 hour wait times in ER. Go somewhere else.
Well, I called the number MSMH gave me on the review page. And all MSMH said was how well their staff took care of me after surgery. The issue was not how well the staff took care of me. The issue was with the anesthesiologist I had for my procedure. I was told the anesthesiologist was contracted out and does not work for MSMH. Regardless. He was a inept doctor. He did not follow protocol prior to my surgery. His name is Dr. Junkie Zhang. And this is what happened: -He barely introduced himself to me prior to surgery -He showed up just 5 minutes prior to the surgery -He did not advise me on when he was administering medications to me and for what. -he did not discuss my reaction to anesthesia and how he was going to help me avoid any negative reactions post op. -The first meds he gave me, I had no idea he was giving me anything, made me horribly ill. -He completely knocked me out prior to surgery without advising me what was going on and what to expect. -Because of Dr. Zhang I had the worst experience post op ever. I actually believed I was not going to make it. I do not blame MSMH for any of this other than allowing such a careless doctor to practice in their hospital. The staff at MSMH treated me appropriately and the care I received afterwards, in my room, was very comforting. I will be addressing this issue with Dr. Zhang myself and any agencies he is involved with.
I think Mount St Mary's is wonderful and people don't like it they can go somewhere else blood work fast x-rays fast you guys are whining about well there's a phone booth but no phone who cares I went for an ultrasound and had to wait 2 hours yeah try mak appointments ahead of time dumbass
I would not recommend Mount St. Mary's hospital. After you pay your bill, they continue to bill you over and over for the same bill. Most customers are elderly so they target them thinking the elderly are stupid. They've gone so far as to hire a clean up company to respond to all their negative reviews. Ignore the response from the owner below:
a great modern place easy access from I-190
The nurses and doctors in the ER have always been helpful and courteous. The outpatient center is a little slow compared to having blood work done at another business that provide blood work.I am difficult to get blood from and the nurses here have always managed easier than other nurses at other places have, that is a major plus.
Confined for a day for observation Doctors , Nurses & Medical Technicians/Laboratory Staff , the wheelchair attendant gave me excellent medical cares.
Our experience was professional and individualized! The care was outstanding and care was prompt. My husband received a PICC line and we received excellent care.
My husband’s surgery was cancelled today due to having no cardiac doctor available to give him clearance. ?? Too busy of a schedule to fit him in. ??What’s all the hoopla about a new cardiac center if their hospital patients are not being taken care of. He is being discharged, going home for the weekend, then rescheduling surgery next week. Surgeon, nurses all good but .. Because of his heart problems, this is definitely the last time for St Marys.
Came to the ER and was immediately taken back after being thrown in an ATV accident. I explained that it felt like I had a concussion as I was dizzy and nauseous as well as having extensive lumbar pain, I was put in a cervical collar and had to wait 2 and a half hours just to have vitals taken by a rude nurse who clearly wanted to be anywhere but doing her job. After waiting 3 and a half hours now, I am taken back for a cervical spine X-ray. This tech was awesome and friendly. At the 4 hour Mark the Dr finally comes in and I explain the head issues and it gets dismissed. Ended up leaving feeling the same way I felt going in. Nobody really in the ER from 9:30-2ish, but somehow took 5 hours for me to be treated for something that wasn’t even bothering me.
Unbelievable. Here right now and I am with a friend in Emergency Room and i was looking outside the room trying to stay awake and i looked over through the glass a big pile of bloody linen STILL sitting there from over an ago. And I mention it to a NURSE. and she asked me "why does that concern you?" "Why are you even looking over there?" Really. Never COME HERE. So rude.
I was brought to Mount St. Mary's Hospital by ambulance after severe abdominal pain that would not let up. The staff was extremely polite and on top of everything. From the nurses to the doctors, they all came to check in on me frequently to check my pain levels and comfort of the bedding. They spoke to me at a level that I could understand in medical terms and set me up with a doctor outside of there facilities before I even left. Although Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center is literally 2 minutes from my house, I will go to Mount St. Mary's everytime for the level of service I have gotten both times I had to visit the ER. Not to knock NFMC, just my overall experience with Mount St. Mary's was far beyond what I expect when I set foot in a hospital hospitality wise.
The worst every time when come here they take almost 5 hour's before I see the doctor
Been here about four hours. Was in a car accident. Hand bleeding and having chest pains. 74 years old..
Td I went to the emergency room I got the most professional Loving Care today they were so concerned about my health issues that they did everything possible make sure I wasn't having a stroke I think God that I wasn't but just to know but they was concern about my dizziness they a immediately took a CAT scan an MMR to make sure I was fine . the doctors and the rest of the staff was great so I don't know why the reviews are low because I feel they're one of the best hospitals there might be days you might go there and feel uncomfortable but everybody have a day of uncomfortable but I was treated with the most respect and high quality professional Care by everyone thank you
Perfect Hospital. Only issue was in the small cafeteria (felton's cafe) the chunky man over there charge me $8.94 for two smalls french vanilla. He has to call that place Starbucks. I never be back there.
Rude people!
My mother has been screaming in pain all day! She received 2 mg of morphine at 4 this afternoon noon. She is 92 and instead of helping her they moved her futher away from the nurses station and alone in a room! I have been asking to talk to a doctor since 5 and still haven't
Avoid the emergency room at this hospital, they don't treat your systoms and release you to go home without properly addressing your issues. I would never return there again, nor recommend anyone to go there. The ER doctors have their own standards of treatment.
Nurse O and Dr Kim were fantastic, friendly, informative and genuinely wanted me to feel better. I have had some very harsh things happen here and whatever it is you're doing keep it up because this girl is happy to be feeling better with some answers. Thank you
Fired my fiancé because of his dental work and try to say he called off on a holiday very good worker but they let him go not happy about that, as well as had plenty of bad experiences here when my grandmother was alive such as making my grandmother who had a brain bleed wait in the ER waiting room for 6 hours to be seen!
We are a military family and have been stationed in 6 different states and had 3 children in hospitals around the country. Overall we have had good experiences for each of our children’s births, but our last child (born at Mt St Marys) was the best we have had yet. The staff in labor, delivery, & recovery were fantastic. The hospital itself was clean and well maintained. The RNs and our doctor went above and beyond to help us and we could not have been happier with our experience and their professionalism.
Went to emergency services after my doctor told me it would be best to go and be safe. Was treated as if and even told that my problem was "not exciting enough" and waited 3 hours for simple results. Although the nurses were rather nice, the doctor was horrendously rude, and I could hear him mocking me outside of my room.
I sepent 7 days on the 6th to have an operation done, the nurses the nurses were very very nice helpful anytime you need anything they went above and beyond to help you.
The hospital in general smells of death..the Maternity floor sucks to high hell. Had my baby and ended up with Spinal headache that lasted more than a week after a C-Section. Still waiting on someone to get back to me with my newborn's picture information. I'm totally pissed! I would give them a Big 0 if I could.
My boyfriend went into the emergency with pretty severe and scary symptoms. The staff was so friendly and efficient with diagnosing him and making sure that he was comfortable and relaxed (as much as possible). His RN Jacqueline is the definitely of the ideal RN. She was personable and clearly has a true passion for helping people. We highly recommend the medical staff at this hospital. The greater was an older women who was extremely flustered for a night that wasn’t busy and was down right rude. Coming from 2 people who work with people all day every day we had a lot of patience for her attitude and considered doing a formal complaint on her. Because the rest of the staff was so amazing we let the complaint go. We would go back strictly for the medical staff which is of course the most important part.
Not Very friendly
If I could give 0 stars I would. The nurses here are incompetent and rude. Widespread apathy for everyone who works here. If you can afford it, stay away.
Most of the nursing staff was friendly, however, some were very nasty. Despite the inpatient floors appearing recently renovated, the remainder of the hospital is very outdated. The elevators are old and jerky. The cafeteria has limited hours closing at 2 pm on the weekends. The hospital did not have enough IV pumps or poles so the fluids were set to gravity hanging from the curtains. What is going on here? Did Catholic Health forget they have a hospital in Niagara County? The parking is free though and that is a plus!
Will never go back to this hospital again. Waiting 15 hours in emergency room for my appendix . Just plain incompetent's.
When I was in on the 6th floor the nurses and the food was absolutely beautiful. Sorry i could not stay in the area. Will really miss the hospital
I SHOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE COMING HERE. I ABSOLUTELY HATE THE TREATMENT OR SHOULD I SAY THE LACK OF TREATMENT THAT I RECEIVED FROM THIS HOSPITAL THIS WEEKEND. I AM SO UNHAPPY AND CANT WAIT TO BE RELEASED FROM HERE. DIRTY. INATTENTIVE TO MY NEEDS. VERY UNFRIENDLY. I TRULY RECEIVED THE MEDICAID POOR PERSON TREATMENT HERE. NO CHOICE IN WHAT I ATE. NUSRE BROUGHT ME FOOD FROM WHAT THEY CHOSE FOR ME TO EAT. NO CONCERN FOR MY NEWBORN. DIDN'T EVEN GIVE A T-SHIRT WHEN FIRST BORN. NO LIEN FOR BABY. A EMPTY CRIB WITH 1 PACK OF TOO SMALL DIAPERS. WAITED ALMOST 2 HOURS FOR MY MEDS. NO GREETING FROM NUSRE AS TO WHOM WAS SERVING ME. I LITERALLY SAW THIS NURSE TODAY THIS MORNING AND THEN JUST BEFORE HER SHIFT ENDED AT 7PM TONIGHT. AWFUL AND JUST SAD. I WILL BE SEEING SOMEONE ABOUT THIS WHEN IM DISCHARGED MONDAY MORNING. UPDATE: Called 1/8/2019 to speak with the patient's advocate about my treatment during my stay. I Left a voicemail and no reply as of yet.
Unhappy that due to covid I am not permitted to wait in hospital for my husband but I do understand. Not acceptable though that he texts me exactly when being wheeled into surgery that should not take more than 45 to 60 minutes and more than 2 hours later I have to hunt someone down by phone to at least let me know my husband is in recovery. Other hospitals have technology to let you know every step your loved one is going through. This hospital cannot even hire an extra individual to call and let someone know that the surgery is over!
Good place
Long story short, I was thrown through the windshield of my vehicle as a passenger. I had a broken foot, contusions through out my body. I needed stitches in my face, which thankfully the doctor that treated me was really one of a kind. They misdiagnosed my broken nose. The entire experience was like something out of a nightmare. The majority of the staff other than three individuals were completely unfriendly and treated me as though they couldn't be bothered. I was in tremendous pain but when I attempted to get one of the staffs attention in the ER, they ignored me. It was a horrible, HORRIBLE way to be treated. I was afraid, traumatized and just needed medical attention. Looking back, I would have left but was in shock and brought there by ambulance.
I came on for an emergency at 1am last week and was berated for believing covid. Not only did the staff call me a sheep, they said you probably are a Democrat and you should just die. I never have felt this unsafe coming to the hospital. I guess the rumors are true, Mt St Mary's is an anti covid hospital l!
Most but not all of the staff was super to slightly rude. Most the equipment on the wall in the ER was covered in dust. Would walk in room with out knocking even when door is closed and then would leave room with out reclosing it. There carts they took from room to room where coverd in dust on the bottom. Made snooty comments all the time like."Oh my chest hurts call a lawyer" which was with in the 1st 5 minutes of being in the ER .& "This is not the hilton" which was in reference to the face mask and earplugs that they provide that he was wearing the one morning that made it somewhat hard for that nurse to wake him up" .&. "Look at the signs on the door. How stupid" & "finally taking the signs off your door crazy crazy crazy" which was the day befor he left. There supervisors had to put signs on his door just to get there staff to knock before entering just so he can bathe and have any type of privacy and to remind them to close door when leaving. Mind you at this time in his stay he had no room mate and there was a guy down the hall yelling for help 24/7. At night time on some of the nights depending on the staff they didn't keep the volume down in the halls and or work stations ) even though sick people were trying to sleep as in staff was laughing and making jokes and just having a grand old time in the middle of the night. In all he cried most the time do to his treatment. Some of the staff was misinformed on how to use the proper equipment the proper way as in I had to YouTube things just to make sure it was being done the right way and or look things up on my own. Like when they lifted his Atrium Express dry seal chest drain above his chest while fluid was in the hose that would have went back in him if not for him jumping up in the nick of time and preventing it & one nurse telling him the device does not attach to the bed even though it has two hooks on the device and the bed has 2 bars designed for said hooks to attach to & for 12 days no one noticed he was using his Airlife respirator the wrong way. We found out because the respiratory nurse came in on the 12th day and showed him how to properly use it & also the 1 day they for got to give him his Lidoderm patch on time which the student nurse had to point that out to them. The student nurse told my boyfriend he was not allowed to put it on even if he was supervised because it would look bad that he logged it into the computer well after the time it was supposed to go on. As in anytime they give you medication they need to log it into the computer and scan your bracelet and if the student did it and not the nurse 2-4 hours after it was due well that looks bad on the hospital staff . Also some nights they forgot to take it off at the right time and had to wake him up at 4 or so in the morning to take it off. Doctor was super super super good at his job but made him feal un important as he would always rush out of the room before he could even ask questions which I kind of get as it seemed like the guy never took a day off but still that few minutes would have made the world of a difference to my boyfriend. In the doctors defense he did make it up to my boyfriend by constantly checking in on my boyfriend after another doc took over for the surgery. But then again that was after my boyfriend broke down crying to a nurse about it. In all seek help elsewhere. Trust the low star count as its true. This is what I seen during my boyfriends stay. My boyfriend should tell his story but probably won't but it needs to be told. Yes my boyfriend can be rude from time to time but when you have a tube hanging out your chest and your in extreme amounts of pain professionals are paid to be professionals for that reason. When your visit starts off with rude comments in the ER room and then miss handling of equipment your second night there that kind of sets the tone for your stay and puts you in a bad/rude/scared mood. This is a guy who just got back to work after a back injury made it 3 days before his lung collapsed. To bad cant post the dust pics.DISAPPOINTED
I can get just about any test available without a long wait.
Simply awful waited over 3 hours walked out! Noise coming out of the speakers in Ceiling. Have video of
Wouldnt take my dog to this place. If you want ignorant doctors and nurses who dont speak an ounce of english though go right ahead.
Very unhappy. I have been a patient here @ center for women for 30 years! I delivered 4 babies here. Chose to bring my 16 year old daughter here for her 1st visit for cramping and unregulated cycles. As I walk in at front desk I'm told she can only go up and I was not allowed due to covid. As her mother and as a registered nurse I feel this is unacceptable as she was nervous and scared...forced to go alone with no support. I may be looking for another practice.
I went here for a cardiovert on my heart. I was very nervous but the staff was great, calmed me right down. Very clean facility, very nice doctors, Although my heart didnt respond, the experience was very smooth and comfortable. I give them 5 star for the great treatment and the bedside manor.
Been sitting in the x ray department my husbands appointment was at 9:00 got here at 8:45 still waiting 10:06
The nurses working in the GI Unit today were all very nice and comforting to all the patients. Very professional.
The hospital is ok but their phone booth still stands despite a total lack of pay phone for three years. Sloppy! On another point, today I strolled on the grounds while waiting for my bus (#50). After that I went back to the main bus stop (near the statue of the Virgin Mary) and then an odd male security guard came out and told me not to go near the day care center. I presume that is the already gated building on the hospital grounds that seems totally empty for the moment ( it was after 4 pm in the afternoon). Didn't make sense much on the guard's part.
Ask them not me
Since 0 stars is not an option, I guess it will have to be a 1. That may be only because the ER staff in the 'check-in' counter were friendly. I am from Ohio, and unfortunately had a medical issue that became a life or death situation due to the ignorance of this hospital. Initially, I went to St. Mary's Hospital in regards to receiving care in the ER because I was in incredible pain. When I was there, I was taken back into the ER and checked out, mind you, while still sitting in a wheelchair when this was a pelvis issue. The Doctor said that I had pulled a muscle and gave me medicine that I was allergic to, even when telling him that I was allergic. The very next day, I knew that the pain was too much and something was incredibly wrong. I went to another hospital and turns out that I had gone septic. If I had waited longer, I would have died. After a week in the OTHER hospital, and an emergency surgery, I was home. This could have been prevented if Mt. St. Mary's did their job. Now, after being billed for the poor service, I am in collections with THIS hospital bill because they refuse to speak to me any further and listen to this complaint.
My son was born there in 2008 it was the best experience I'll never forget about then my son was sick he almost died in my arms they saved his life I'll never forgot about that hospital the greatest around
Daughter born there 45 yrs ago. Very nice hospital then and suspect that this has not changed.
Prompt servce.. Safety protocols in effect. Excellent Friendly service!!
Wonderful hospital the staff is amazing
Worst Doctors, nurses and staff all together. My husband has been admitted since Saturday and we have yet to see Dr. Largo with results of the contrast CT scan. Complete lack of communication from Dr to nurses to patient. Then again, the hospital is making money of him just lying up there, why rush right? Never again!
Dont go here if you need an emergency room ,sat here 3 and half hours for my 70 year old Dad with severe abd pain, getting worse as we waited in the cold waiting room and he sat upright .they did an extra set of vitals on him and a little girl who were both still in the waiting room. How long do you sit in a waiting room to get a second set of vitals? Triage promptly roomed an approx 11 year old with her "ear hurting" she was discharged before he was even looked at. Now hes in the back so at least he can lay down
The Staff on the 6th Floor were tremendous, especially Deb and Katie. They made my Mom comfortable and went beyond the regular good care. Deb feels like family now, Thank you all ! Carmen Toromino. 10 Stars
Wife had a procedure we were in and out in no time at all.
This place sucks and have construction going on there's no way the patient can rest and if you have back issues don't expect them to be nice
Worst hospital. Fraudulent billing. After given a discharge authorization I was told that I need to be kept in observation. Some doctor named M. Sly billed me whom I didn't see neither during admittance nor during discharge from observation. Upon asking them what is the bill for I get different answers. My emergency room visit is covered by my insurance but they refuse to bill this as emergency room visit in spite of my insurance calling them several times. More to this, this doctor is out of network when the hospital is in network. They say doctor is contracted out well it is hospital's responsibility to make sure he bills in network. The bill is huge $573 for a doctor which I didn't see. I called Patient rep Miss Quigliano and left her a message several days ago she hasn't returned my call till today. SHAMEFUL AND DISGUSTING
They are always nice and they will attend to you quickly
I've been waiting for 3 1/2 hours to be called back to be seen. This is completely ridiculous.
This place is so slow for an emergency room son had a hook in the head and we sat forever got there at 8 it's 10 still not even called to the back
I had to give 1 star but it should be none, my son had a possible concussion and they had us wait 5 HOURS in the waiting room, meanwhile, he had to see somebody have a medical emergency while they made them wait forever and that was scary for him, and in to of that he was not allowed to eat or drink anything in case he needed scans. The poor boy had to go all day and most of the evening with NOTHING. Absolutely inexcusable.
Absolutely terrible!!!
Worst computer system in WNY
Can't even express how amazed and grateful to have had a procedure done here. The nursing staff made all the difference, they were so nice and showed nothing but kindness. A nurse held my hand and prayed with me. That type of bedside manner you just don't see anymore. Keep up the great work ????
This place should be shut down. Poor staff in the ER and maternity floor. Staff in maternity floor didn’t realize the call button was on and actually made a joke to the other staff about how they haven’t been in our room to check on us the entire day and they all laughed. This was within 24 hours of a c section. My girlfriend asked for pain meds and they disappeared. When they finally came back into the room they wanted to discharge her the morning of day 2 right after she stood up and bled all over the floor. We were the only people there. Disgusting.
So, as I sit here in the surgical waiting for news of my husband’s surgery, the screen that reports whether your loved one is in surgery or in recovery is NOT WORKING. No explaination as to why it’s not working. But, also no nurses coming to the door to let me know if my husband went to surgery or In Recovery. I would think that with the screen NOT working, I would hear from the nurses. Or they could even pick up the phone and call me in the waiting room. If we as loved ones have to make sacrifices because of Covid, then the staff should be also...all I ask is that the screen gets fixed or the staff keeps us informed. PLEASE someone fix the patient information screen in the surgical waiting room on the first floor.
My brother From out of town broke his wrist on Friday. We went to the ER. They took x-rays, wrapped the wrist and told him he would be ok until Tuesday when he returned home. Unfortunately that is not the case. The break started to heal and now he needs surgery. His doctor told him he should have been directed to have it repaired immediately. This misguided treatment concerns me
Excellent treatment from the blood drawing all the way to the x-rays! I was in the ER room twice excellent service I recommend this Hospital over Memorial Medical Center anytime. Give the Catholic Health System. a plus plus plus. I do not know what it would be like to be an inpatient I suppose it would be a lot different. The cafeteria is excellent the food is excellent. I've had nothing but good experiences with all the doctors nurses and anyone else that helps and all my experiences with the outpatient doctor's are nothing but the best
This hospital is absolutely amazing the staff 6th floor treated me like family my entire stay there thank you 6th floor and the nurse from the 5th who came up to help thanks so much
My uncle was in this hospital for 3 days was never offered a bath also they never changed the bed sheets which had dried blood from his iv. People were very rude also the health care was very poor. Would not recommend this hospital!!!
Came in at 8pm and it is 3:17am but STILL WAITING. We are keep on getting told that there are no empty beds as we are seen people being taken in right in front of us. So there are empty beds for them but not for us? Being told the same reason over and over again for the wait but not sure what to believe. Never coming here again and definitely not recommended.
Is there a vending machine???
Being an ER nurse for 25 years it astounds me as to the lack of clinical assessment and application of basic standards of care. Staff are lucky I am not running the department. They had no idea I was in the medical field. Be proactive people.
Long waits in emergency room been coming here all my life.you sit and listen to the nurses and docters on phone talking to there family and joking with each other.and there limited in there findings nothing is ever wrong with anybody everybody take 2 and go home.mostly everytime you never even see the doctern

My 4 year old son went in for surgery which went well. After the surgery the nurse left him on the table alone and he woke up and rolled off the table. They then had to take him to E.R. to check for head injuries
