Had triple bypass surgery here in 2012. Fantastic facility and compassionate staff. I wish there were better words to describe it.

This place is awful I see people waiting to be seen by a doctor that are suffering I see people crying in pain but it's taking forever to get them seen I myself is waiting more than 6 hour to get seen only they did was get my blood and haven't called me in 6 hours it's like hell

During some of the scariest times of my life, this was a perfect place to go. From the minute we arrived smiles and good morning from all staff. They answered every question and helped me feel comfortable throughout the process. I can’t say I wasn’t still scared but knew they had my best interest at heart.

Everyone was polite and helpful. The nurses went out of their way to make me comfortable. No one was in a rush for me to leave.

Clear communication between doctors and nurses and doctors and patients/family was poor for our experience. My family member went in to get a pacemaker, and we all left thinking he had one after a 4 day stay. To our surprise, when the nurse came to visit at home, there was no pacemaker put in. Within 24 hours he was back in a fib and now back at the hospital for a pacemaker as their "try medication decision" obviously didn't work. Rough experience for an 87 year old loved one and his family. Nursing staff- very kind and caring!

Only cleane when asked but after they were there regularly red flag? Nurses were kind. The bathroom was never cleaned my wife did that at no cost to them. 2nd time you'd think we would learn a,lesson oh 10 HR. Wait for a room

It took me a while to find the place but everyone here is nice in person. Originally we had issues with the registration as it took them very long time to get it done (some aren't really good at what they are doing and alot of back and forth) we didn't get any package regarding operation instructions or even location. That added more stress to us. But again in person staff is really good

Waiting for 12 hrs in the er, no care to speak of. Just wait, 2 min conversation with a doc in the middle of the night, that's about it. Staff interacts with you like you are a piece of furniture. This is not the first time for this exact same level of care. Avoid this place like the plague... don't see or hear any activity that would indicate that any person working here is doing anything to care for patients. Very odd. Don't know of an alternative in western ny. Go to Cleveland or down state if possible. Er staff knows nothing, offers nothing, literally the answers to questions are I don't know. They do the rounds whenever? If you are in trouble, don't come here you will wait till you die.

Everybody here is just amazing. I am really impressed with how all of them are really supportive and willing to help. Doctors, nurses, supportive services, everyone is nice and professional. I would recommend it as a top notch institution on the national level.

The procedure started 4 hour's late. The nurse is rude to visitors. They don't allow enough visitors. Not enough chairs in the room. They need to venture south to learn hospitality and bedside manners.

If you have to stay overnight, pack a lunch. I spent two days there and never received one meal. I found out that you have to order food using the phone or you don't get any. Don't think that just because you're in a room and a patient that you're going to get anything to eat. One of the nurses told me just before they shut the kitchen down that I had better order in the next half hour in order to get anything. I called and ordered a meal and they acknowledged my order. Problem was, they never delivered it. I'd been there since morning and had nothing to eat. The next morning I spent an hour on the phone trying to order breakfast and kept getting a message saying they were too busy to answer the phone due to a high volume of calls (You think? Probably hundreds of patients in there). After telling you they're too busy to take your call they play several minutes of commercials all about Kaleida then admonish you for not calling earlier to order your food). After an HOUR of trying to order breakfast I gave up. By this time it had been a day and a half since I'd eaten. Several of the nurses said this had been a problem before going to the phone ordering system and now it was at its worst. Many patients were not being fed. Who dreamed this nightmare up? I worked in QC and CS for years and this is the poster child for how to do it totally wrong. Unless your life is at risk, go somewhere else. FWIW, all the doctors, nurses, and medical staff are top rate. It's the sub-systems that are deplorable. .....Pack a lunch.

Had to give one star in order to write review. Absolute worst hospital in the area. Do not take your loved ones here and if by ambulance, go somewhere else. They have taken 5 days to finally give us answers on my husbands hear condition, he hasn't eaten in 5 days, they say they will get someone to talk to him about his medical concerns and its hours and days later before they show up, giving him meds he doesn't need, taking his sugar test when he doesn't have diabetes, trying to get him to stay so they can collect more money from my insurance to help pay for their strike as was put towards my husband by nurses that work there, the covid shot induced the heart attack to rip us off, the kitchen staff walked the job so they give you what they make for that day for everyone regardless of your diet restrictions, they have no clue as to what they are doing, and in the cardio department there are way to many teams/bosses and residents/interns fighting over who is right and telling a different story by each person, no communication at all and just a complete joke all the way around. The bathrooms and hospital rooms are dirty old and disgusting. The board of this hospital and the administrators and the doctors should be called out for this. They only things they are concerned about is money and nothing else. It is the patients that have to suffer and the families that see this also have to suffer. They pride themselves on being the best in the area and they are by far the absolute worst in the area. Do not go to Buffalo General or the Cardiac area for anything. Go elsewhere for safety of your loved ones.

My Mom had surgery there a few days ago. Can't rave enough about the entire experience. The facility and the surgeon's are the best. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful. Can't say enough about the nursing staff, and Mom's nurse, Lisa in the ICU. They go above and beyond with their care, compassion and positive attitudes.
