You will see all the reviews of real people like you who buy the services of Eastern Niagara Hospital (Hospital) around Fort Erie area (Canada).
As of day the business receives a rating of 2.5 stars out of 5 and that rating is based on 79 reviews.
You must have seen that the average of ratings is very weak, and it's based on a very large number of reviews, so we may be pretty sure that the score is very faithful. If people have bothered to give their feddback when they are pleased, it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to put scores when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Hospital belongs to the category of General hospital.
They are slow in the ER I been in the ER for 6 hours
Horrible
This is the worst doctor experience I have ever had. I visited the express center & I could hear the staff talking poorly about me and other patients. The wait took forever & they did not provide any information on what was happening. After talking to multiple other people who have visited here, they all said they experienced the same thing. Sad that this is how our MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS are behaving during a global pandemic. I am disgusted.
All I was in for was a mental evaluation. First of all: the room in the ER was freaking cold, and it was just before thanksgiving. Other than that, it was okay.
I wish I could give no stars. Absolutely the worst and most useless hospital ever
The worst!! My sister and I just walked in. My sister crying her eyes out because something in her mouth hurts, she can barely speak. And they tell us to wait. We waited for over 20 minutes and nothing. This 16 year old kid walks in with a little cut on his eyebrow and some blood and they call him right away!!! Like ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW!?? I asked the receptionist why did they called him first she tells me she don't know !! Ughh I hate this hospital!! They suck!!
I agree with the other reviews, the emergency room is WAY TOO slow, I am one of the last people I know in Lockport to have still used the hospital. Almost everyone I know in Lockport says they would never go there. I used to defend the hospital, but no more. Unfortunately if they don't do something to correct this I can see the hospital closing soon. After all if no one goes there why remain open? It would be a real shame if this community lost this resource. Unfortunately it is as good as closed now, because unless things drastically change I will join all the others I know - and won't be going there if I have a choice in the matter.
My bf took me to the ER here and the staff was just wonderful. Everyone was caring and kind, it took half the time of any other ER I've been to. They were able to run many tests in a short amount of time. Even when I refused to be overnighted, they were respectful and made sure I knew the steps to follow up with my own doctors. I would highly recommend going here.
Exelent awesome hospital and staff food is awesome also Great people and great service .
Mother had surgery here. Surgeon never came in to speak with us after he completed surgery. Had no idea how well or not the surgery went until I called the next day and demanded he call back. 80% of the hospital nurses that took care of my mother had her drugged up so much she couldn't speak to us on the phone. My mother ended up contracting MRSA and is still being treated. Wanted to transfer her another hospital doctor said good luck and threatened my mother said if I tried to he would no longer care for her while she was there. I ended up having to call hospital administration.
Always had good care I've used their surgical, emergency room, radiology and lab services since moving to Lockport 15 years ago. Friendly helpful staff.
I was here for about a week right before Halloween, I don't remember much about the ER but I do remember the ICU and everyone there were wonderful. The care I received was amazing. The nurses were very caring and sweet. When I went into a regular room the quality of care never changed. They made me feel like I was very important. The Dr came in every day and explained things to me and answered all my questions. I was very pleased with this hospital.
The Worst most unprofessional uncaring staff ever. Jackie the nurse and the transition team hurt our child and our family and the Dr there is a total waste of matter. They drugged the children without parents permission or awareness and manipulate these vulnerable children. When parents stand up to them they falsely accuse and hurt children and families. This facility for child and adolescent psychiatry should be SHUT DOWN
Me, my wife, and 1 year old daughter went to get checked for strep throat. The receptionist, the 1st nurse, 2nd nurse, & doctor ALL had miserable attitudes. Horrible experience. + They checked us over for 30 seconds before releasing us. This was 4 hours ago and i still cannot believe how we were treated. DO NOT GO TO EAST NIAGARA EXPRESS CARE ON TRANSIT RD.
I went there for surgery and after it was done that is when the trouble started. They never changed me out my surgery clothes, they never clean the room, they never fixed the IV hanging out my hand, the covers and lining will not be changed, and the staff is rude. The one nurse snatched the IV out my hand with no warning and this was after she came in the room loud at 1 am turning on all the lights. never go here for anything if they treat people who just went through surgery like this imagine how they are going to treat you.
Very great staff. I had my two kids there and the staff was very supportive and helpful also made sure all my needs were met. The food is great and the atmosphere is very comfortable .
I was highly upset with the nursing staff there at night. Nobody told me for the 6 pr 7 hours i was there that i could not stay with my boyfriend overnight. They finally told me at 11 pm that i could not stay and the head nurse was very rude to me about the situation instead of saying it politely .
Thank you to all the kind and compassionate caregivers during my overnight admission. The quality of care was top notch, and the food was excellent as well. On June 2 I had a surgery which required a 23.5 hr admit, being that I live 2 hrs away I wasn't able to ride that far the same day as my surgery. The Nurses on the second floor were amazing, as well as the assistants. The only trouble I had was with the woman who I had to check in with in the basement before surgery. She was a bit rude, but that is not going to ruin my review. Just keeping it real. Once again thank you to everyone for taking such good care of me during my stay. The Eastern Niagara Hospital is by far the best not for profit organization I have experienced. Keep up the good work.
Ive had on going insurance for over 6 yrs. Today I got a collection bill. For something in 2017. Congrats on having the worse billing dept in NYS! Why even sit people down and get their insurance info before they can recieve help if your not going to bill it correctly? You won't get a cent from me. I know I'll never go here again.
My brother spent several days in 2 north . The room was thilthy dirty, I spotted a bug crawling in & out of the baseboard, his nightstand drawer was hanging broken, 90% of his nurses were so rude, They laughed at a patient who was going through withdrawl and ignored all the other patients who were complaining about her screaming & vulgaraties. The only plus for this hospital was the food . It was just like home cooked, excellent tasting, he was stuffed. Dietary always came up & checked up to make sure he received everything & if he needed anything else. Dietary did a A+ job. as far as everything else F- Also it took 2days for them to clean my brothers infected diabedic toe.
Terrible customer service experience. Rude and unhelpful.
Honestly, nobody goes to the hospital because it's a fun thing to do. Nobody's happy about it. Going to the hospital will require a lot of waiting around, and it is what it is. They're trying to take care of everyone who walks through the door. I had an outpatient operation and everyone from the nurses to the anesthesiologists to the the surgeon to the admins to the phlebotomists were perfectly pleasant and made my hospital experience a decent one, given the circumstances that got me there. They were compassionate and helpful. They did everything they could to ensure that my stay was as comfortable as possible, and from what I noticed, they extended that same courtesy and respect to the other patients who were there. The nurses Darcy and Cassandra are awesome! I was also there several months ago for some routine imaging, and the X-ray technicians are very nice as well. I was in and out.
Can I give negative stars? Unprofessional, disrespectful emergency room staff. The standard of care at this hospital is below poor. This dreadful establishment needs to shut it's doors for good.
The nurses and doctor in the emergency room were very kind and understanding. Very short wait to be seen and the test results were also quick. It is an older and smaller hospital for the area, but their bed-side manner really won me over. Thank you for taking care of my loved ones.
Slow as a beep
Awful. Sent home with a life threatening blood pressure misdiagnosis
The staff is extremely caring and willing to go out of their way to get you something. Someone is always checking up on you to make sure things are going smoothly for whatever your recovery is. Also, the food is the best hospital food you can find around. And anyone can eat there. Friday's fish frys are amazing, definitely worth a try.
I was very pleased with my operation in the morning. The nurses and doctors were nothing but kind and considerate. I ended up back in the er late that night for complications. They didn't hesitate to fix the issue. Shout out to 6'6 dr s and nurse Terry you guys make a difference and care about what you do.
Food was so fresh and the cafeteria staff were very friendly.
Great Doctors...Staff...Service...Food..and THANK U FOR MY CARD IT WAS APPRECIATED
My girlfriend went here to be told nothing was wrong. Three days later she is told by her primary her gallbladder needs to be removed. Do NOT trust these people. They are horrible.
Must be avoided, their drs and surgeons will not hesitate to ruin ur life. So unprofessional n unsanitary
Had a wonderful experience with the registration and lab staff! So friendly and the hospital was so clean!
Hate this hospital, its dirty,I got no help as far as treatment, left knowing I was going to feel just as bad,as far as a diagnosis, I feel the dr was way off,I have what he diagnosed me having, and you dont get deathly sick for going on almost 3 wks from acid reflex!,I only went there because it was close, never again!
THIS HOSPITAL IS THE WORST EVER!!!!!
I’d rather catch Ebola and die than come here again. Nothing like being told to leave because I missed my appt for my mass to be checked . They told me to come back in two weeks to see if the mass was cancer....to the blonde old lady at the front window...KEEP EATING. Thanks for tellin me you couldn’t help me I’m pretty sure that’s illegal. Oh yea also....half of these nurses like to do cocaine before they walk in for their shifts. Winners. Oh yea my son contracted MRSA here at 2 days old. DIRTY! Avoid at all costs. Urgent care on Transit is far better unless it’s an emergency go to buffalo.
The worst. Very bad experience. I brought my mother to the ER because she couldn't breath and it was bad enough to get admitted.. I walk into the emergency room and tell the first person i see. They point to a wheel chair and tell me to go in the parking lot and bring her in myself not knowing how life and death it was. The worst part was all the staff were in a group talking. I would highly recommend avoiding this place unfortunately the place was way better years ago
i have had 3 appointments with lockport hospital in the last 2 weeks.the first 2 were for physical therapy and i was there for 80 minutes were the therapist spent over 560 minutes doing billing and other paperwork while i waited. today i went in for a 2:30 appointment and i was on time maybe a few minutes early.and i waited 25 minutes only to find out the person who was to do the test was not even on the floor.this was after i was told she was finishing up the paperwork from an earlier patent the last time before this happened i went to the er and was told the dr. was busy while i waited for over an hour to be seen ..turns out the dr. was sitting next to my x-rays reading the newspaper. this hospital does not care about its patents it does not act in a professional manner in any way shape or form. i would have argued to keep it open but if the level of care and understanding i received is what in patients or others get they should be closed.
Nurses and doctors were excellent. The one girl, Jessie was very nice and made me feel more like I was at home and not in the ER. I feel like I was in the best hands and was very well taken care of especially by the ER nurse, surgeon, and the overnight staff when I was in recovery. I don’t like going to hospitals but my time there was actually good and I’m actually really happy with everything. Also the guy who did my cat scan was super cool as well. Seemed like he was my age and just out of school recently. Felt like I knew him for a while as he was just a decent guy that also made me feel more comfortable being at the hospital. Got my results back within about a half hour which wasn’t long at all. Very pleased with the way I was cared for and thank you to you all. Really hope that somebody reads this because I just can’t express how great fun I am to all of those people that took care of me.
The doctors and nurses in the ER were fantastic to my son . After he was admitted, I can't say enough about how professional and caring the nurses and other staff were each day. Everyone was so kind. I highly recommend this hospital. It a small community facility where you are treated like family.
When I went to the er with acute abdominal pain, they treated me quickly and respectfully. All my concerns were addressed in a timely fashion. I'm glad I didn't listen to the bad reviews I read and gave them a shot. Would recommend
Slowest emergency room ever. If you have a real emergency, do yourself a favor and drive to another hospital. Staff is rude and thoughtless.
My girlfriend had to go in for an ultrasound due to stomach pain last Thursday and they said we'd have the results in on Monday it is now Thursday of the following week and every time we called they haven't had a chance to go down to the ER yet to get the results I hope the hospital reads this because this is the biggest joke of a hospital I've ever heard of in my entire life she has been in nothing but pain now for 7 days and no one can commend that no one ever uses this hospital for anything anything ever again I hope you get shut down
Absolutely awful! Left my husband unattended for over an hour with an empty IV bag, asked for ice chips 4 times and was ignored, refused to look at his ear which is infected. Everyone wanted to argue with me and talk about me versus discharging him so we can leave. By far the worst hospital I’ve ever been to.
I was sitting in a wheelchair for 4 hours to have them look at my foot no x-rays or anything to have them tell me I was fine as I was limping in and out of the hospital would not reccomend to anyone they are so disgraceful.
I had ambulatory surgery on Thursday, January 30, 2020 and I have never experienced such wonderful care in a hospital before. From the Admissions Clerk, Greeter Volunteer, and Ambulatory Staff and Surgical Staff from arrival to departure and the follow up phone call the next day it was just outstanding. I was absolutely astonished.
The management refuses to address abusive bullying behavior from the charge nurse on 2center, and instead attacks and belittles any staff members who report her. Many staff members have transferred units or quit because of this. The management favorites can do no wrong and everyone else is expendable. Even patients have complained about the incompetent manager of 2center and reported they will not be returning. Save yourself the stress and go work or be treated at a respectable hospital.
Brought someone in for a severe medical issue, and the only relief given was from the burden of having the co-pay in my bank account.
Do not bring anyone you care about here. Do the right thing and drive to williamsville to get real treatment.
They released my mother saying she was fine and put her in the worst nursing home ever "Williamsville Suburban",I took my mother out of there after one day....she died five days later.don't ever go to this hospital, very rude unprofessional unqualified people, especially discharge planing...
I would give u zero if I could !!!! Sat in your waiting room almost 4 hours ignored !!! My husband was treated like a junkie !!!! Come to find out along with u and Lockport urgent care he was in serious shape !!!! Thanks to Millard Fillmore saving his life !!! You people should be ashamed for treating everyone who walks through ur doors like they want pills when all they wanted was ur help !!!! Do not take ur loved ones here if u care !!!!! Turns out my husband had something very serious and could have ended way worse if I didn’t have the common sense to take him else where
I was in for a kidney stonen, i said i was very thirsty. They refused to let me drink anything. Then they left me untreated for an hour in excruciating pain. Then gave me basically tylenol. Then another hour later gave me real pain killers. Still no liquid. 2 hours later they tell me because i cant pass it i need a cathider. Now the guy who scanned my body told me they are small enough to pass. Obviously with discomfort. Ive had 3 in my life. When i go to the hospital all i expect. Os something to dull the pain. And the pill that helps to go to the bathroom more often. When i get sent home i normally have a mild pain medication and the medicinen to help everything flow. The doctor was very condescending. Unhelpful. Unfreindly. And all around did not seem to care at all with what i was going through. The nurses were nice but cant do anything unless the doctor says so. If you have a choice in where you go avoid this hopsital. It needs all new management and staff except for the nurses.
Absolutely the most unsanitary hospital I’ve ever stepped foot in.. dirty sheets, used gloves behind bed, used packaging underneath bed as well, Along with unprofessional staff. 0/10 would not recommend.. One more thing the nurse that works the front of the ER... she does not need to be working here
My mom was admitted for emergency surgery at Eastern Niagara Hospital in September 2018. I was in California and flew back immediately. When I saw she was going here I was nervous after reading some not so shinning reviews. I can honestly tell you she got the best care possible and have joked that if I ever need surgery, I might fly home to have it done there. From the very first conversation over the phone with Dr. Jeffrey Schratz I knew my Mom was in great hands. He literally saved her life. He is not only a skilled surgeon, but a caring, wonderful person. I could go on for pages more about him, but will save that for his 5 star review. The nursing staff and aids both day and night were amazing. Mom spent around 18 days total for two surgeries and recovery. The level of care was exceptional! I wish I remember everyone’s names but; Diane, Suzy, Theresa, Allie, Melinda, Ivy, Emily, Sydney, Sergio, Chrissy, Hannah, Bridgitte, I know I am forgetting a few names, but not how awesome each and every one of you are! I know that your job isn’t easy. You are dealing with people on their worst days. But each and every one of you handled whatever was tossed your way with skill, professionalism and caring. I can’t thank you all enough! is Eastern Niagara Hospital a good hospital? No, it’s a Great Hospital!
DO NOT GO HERE! I went to the hospital via ambulance because I was uncontrollably vommiting and everyone except EMS was horrible. The doctor walked in and immediately asked me what drugs I was taking and what I was on (my drug test came out negative) the nurse was extremely mean to me as well. I also waited seven hours to be discharged. Almost all the staff is cruel and unhelpful. Very unprofessional.
I'd give it zero stars if possible. Please avoid. Unintelligent staff. Long wait times and overall bad experience. Went with my 6 year old to transit location and was informed that because blood wasn't running down his face that he was ok to sit in waiting room for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Please avoid
The nurses & other staff of the ICU took excellent care of our family member & I can't say enough good things about them. They were exceptionally generous with us concerning visiting times & always answered our questions & addressed our concerns. We are very grateful for the care he received.
I got in quickly and nurses and doctors were professional. They were efficient and quick and I couldn't have asked for better.
I have been an RN for over 20 years, and this is the worst hospital I have ever seen. The surgery intake personnel are the most unprofessional people I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. My boyfriend ended up in the ICU and I was never notified. DO NOT TRUST THIS HOSPITAL WITH SOMEONE YOU LOVE! If I could give it no stars , I would
I got covid pneumonia while working on the med/surgical floor. My last scheduled weekend was 01/30 and 01/31. I have not been paid for 01/31. I have just been discharged from St Joe's for the 2nd time and to have to fight with Eastern Niagara Hospital for one day pay is beyond ridiculous. They have not been of any support or help to me since my diagnosis.
Just spent a few days in the hospital and was treated exceptionally well the entire staff was great ,very attentive and caring .I am very pleased and grateful to everyone who was involved who helped me back to good health Thank You.
